Let just say my feelings towards Harvey did not improve after that day. In fact, I'm still pissed that he hasn't once apologize about being a complete jerk to me, for no other reason other than owing Sabrina my life when she didn't save us. What happens if he finds out that it was a log that saved us, he gonna force me to help him serve it?!
Heck, he's still acting like nothing's happened and that everything's looking up for everyone in his little world. Normally, I would accept it, but this time I had enough of him trying to ignore the issue and focus on everything else that isn't the problem or being a lot overboard over something. That, and the fact that during the whole thing, I wasn't allowed my own emotions or free will unless Sabrina wills it. For some reason, it felt...familiar somehow.
Pushing aside that random thought, even Sabrina was shocked that Harvey haven't apologized for being a jerk when I told her an hour after Harvey's call. At least, for a while before mentioning that maybe I should be the one to get Harvey to apologize. Tch. Don't see why I should prompt Harvey to apologize when he should do it himself.
And no, I'm not being petty, Harvey is since he needs to be prompted to apologize. Well, I ain't prompting him to do anything anymore, he can do that himself. I'm done with trying to help Harvey with his issues. Not if I don't get an apology from him and instead a speech about 'how he's proud of me for taking that crud from him and how much it means to him that I told him my secret and how he's just gonna ignore telling me that I'm not allow to have my own emotions or thoughts unless Sabrina said so' and etc.
Anyways, the school day just ended and Sabrina, Chloe and I walked out of the door, only for the younger kids to come running out. "Hey, slow down! Trust me, the sandbox's gonna be there." Sabrina told them.
"Man, they're doing the thing I want to do after school. Or basically, everyday if I can." I said. "Running?" Chloe asked. "Yes. From school. Of course, I can't skip school, can I?" I asked sarcastically. "Nah, you're stuck with it for another five and a half years." Sabrina said. "Drats." I said.
"Hang on a sec, I forgot my backpack." Chloe said as she walked back into the school. "We're gonna see what the big event is." Sabrina said. "Chloe, no! The school will keep you inside!" I exclaimed a bit dramatically as Chloe went back into the school building. "Overdramatic much?" Sabrina asked as we walked to see what everyone was seeing.
However, my mood took a negative turn once we saw what everyone was crowding around for. It was Harvey doing tricks on a skateboard. Great, first he won't apologize and now he feels the need to do this, even when he knows I can't skateboard at all. What next, he's gonna worship Gem just to spite me?!
Not only that, but the crowd enjoys it, especially since he hasn't fallen down. "Okay, now don't try this at home." Harvey said. Despite the fact that a rational part of my brain knows he meant that for the crowd, the rest of my brain was taking it as a personal attack from Harvey. I mean, seriously?! What the actual *Swore in Saiyanese*?!
He did a trick down the stair rails, almost face-planting as the skateboard slipped under him. However, he managed to land with his feet on the rails. "Ta da! Just thought I tried something different." Harvey said as the crowd cheered for him.
"Wow, he's so...average." One mean kid said, eating a popsicle. "Yeah. Who's the Maynard?" Another mean kid asked, eating a hot dog. "He just happens to be Aaron and my best friend." Sabrina said, as they walked off, smirking. Sabrina and I soon used magic on them, causing their foods to explode on them. Hey, I may not respect Harvey as a friend anymore, but he's mine to make fun of, no one else.
"Really? No way! Oh, it's so nice to be related to a major media mogul. Thank for the info, Uncle Tim." Gem said, ending her call with her relative as Harvey skated up to us. Great, now he's near me. Along with the last person I'll ever want to be with, even if we're the last two people on the whole God forsaken planet!
"Listen up, everybody! Great news! In exactly one week, the SSMS Network, that stands for Sports, Sports and More Sports for those of you who aren't hip enough to know that. Anyways, the huge news is, that the SSMS Skateboarding Championship are gonna be right here in Greendale. And so are the Zephyrs, the world's most extreme skateboarding team." Gem said as the crowd cheered.
"And I care about this, why?" I asked, crossing my arms. "Because, the rumor is, the team's looking for a new member." Gem said, getting Harvey's attention. "Wow. This could be my chance to compete in the big time skateboard championship right on my own home turf." Harvey said, and I could sense the ego oozing from him. Thank you, emotion sensing powers. Not!
"Harvey, what a profoundly good idea. You could become a skateboarding legend. And then having you as a friend will make me more fabulous than I'm already am. Even more so than if I go with Aaron. No offense, Aaron." Gem said, turning to me, which made Harvey noticed me.
"None taken." I muttered. I'm really hating that Harvey was getting the attention for something he knows I can't do and yet does it in front of me anyways. "Wait a minute. Extreme doesn't even began to explain his efforts. Haven't you seen them on SSMS?" Sabrina asked. "No, I don't have cable." Harvey said nervously as I had a small smile on my face while Sabrina and Gem looked at Harvey.
Okay, so maybe I'm being a bit cruel to Harvey. But he kinda deserved it because of what he did and how he's not apologizing for it! That, and because I remember the method he done when it comes to finding out my secret two years ago during that sleepover while Sabrina was out of town. So yeah, I'm allow to be a jerk to Harvey because he deserved it.
A blonde kid soon skated past us, doing a 360 trick. Harvey tried the same only to failed. I will admit, I chuckled a bit only for Sabrina to elbow me in the gut. "All I'm saying is that maybe before you think of trying out, you need a little more practice. I mean, the Zephyrs are killer. And Aaron wasn't laughing at you, he was laughing at a joke, right?" Sabrina asked in a low tone. "Yeah, that's it. A joke." I said, glaring at her a bit while rubbing my gut.
"Gee Sabrina and Aaron, you're two of my best friends. I thought you were suppose to be on my side." Harvey said sadly. Oh come on, now he's making it about himself! See, this is what I talking about when it comes to Harvey! "We are. But..." Sabrina began.
"Sabrina, sweet Aaron, how could you two let Harvey down like this? What he needs right now is a friend who supports him. Who isn't gonna make him endlessly work for what he wants. When she could simply buy it for him instead. And a friend who doesn't make jokes to make themselves feel better about themselves." Gem said as she called someone. Is she *Censor bar* kidding me?!
"Hello. Rolf, the world extreme skateboarding champ? Expect a new student. He'll be arriving by limo. And remember the name, Kinkle. It's gonna be in lights." Gem said to someone on the other end.
"You're not really gonna go along with this, are you?" Sabrina asked. "I don't know. Maybe. Hey, at least Gem's on my side." Harvey said. "Harvey, we're always on your side. But the truth is the championships are in a week and you're gonna need a whole lot more practice than that before you're ready to skate with the Zephyrs." Sabrina said. "Yeah, but at least Gem is on my side." Harvey retorted.
"Harvey, this isn't about who's on your side, this is about you making a fool out of yourself!" I snapped. "Said the guy who ignores my calls and texts." Harvey said. "Oh, that's rich coming from you!" I retorted. "What's that supposed to mean?" Harvey asked. "It means what it means. Or are you seriously gonna ignore what you did to me?!" I asked.
"It's already been resolved. Why make a big deal out of it now?" Harvey asked. "Coming from someone who doesn't want to practice and rather take the easy way out!" I yelled. "You can too, if you decide to use what your 'you know what' that you told me two years ago." Harvey said, looking at Sabrina and Gem. "Told you what?" Sabrina asked.
"Harvey, you know I can't and I won't. Especially when you're acting this way." I said. "Then why were you born with powers like those if you won't use them to fix everyday problems?" Harvey asked angrily, glaring at me. "Harvey, that not how it works! You insufferable jerk!" I yelled as my eye turned red as Gem's limo pulled up.
"Aaron, your eye." Sabrina said as I took a deep breath before it turned back to normal. "Well, it's pretty clear who your friends are, Harvey." Gem said as her limo driver opened the door. "Yeah, let's go. And by the way, Aaron, this is about who's on my side. And you know I'm right." Harvey said as he got in the limo. He gave us one last look before hmphing as the driver shut the door and drove off.
"Aaron, Harvey didn't-" Sabrina began. "Yes, he did. And he's right, for a jerk. What's the point of having powers if I can't use them to fix the obvious problems?" I asked bitterly, looking down at my hands and chest, where my Gem was, as Chloe walked up to us. I may have shed a few tears.
"I am gone for five minutes and the whole world falls apart. What just happened? Harvey? Gem? A limo?" Chloe asked us. "I know, Chloe. Now she hired some guy named Rolf and Harvey hurt Aaron's feelings. Badly." Sabrina said as I started to sob. "Rolf? The world famous skateboarding champion? Like he's ever been on the cover of every cool magazines there is!" Chloe gushed.
"Not helping, Chloe. Including with Aaron." Sabrina said, pointing at me, trying to compose myself and failing. "You do know you just let Gem score some major points, right?" Chloe asked. "We were just trying to be honest!" Sabrina defended.
"Also what did Harvey told you, Aaron?" Chloe asked as I managed to dry my tears this time. "H-He asked why I have powers if I won't use them to fix problems. I-I think he's right about that." I said with a shaky voice.
"What the heck?! Why is Harvey being a complete jerk to you the past couple of days?" Chloe asked. "I-I wish I know." I said. "Well, you don't have to listen to him, about using powers to fix problems. You fix problems just fine." Chloe said before seeing a vehicle coming.
"Oh, Sabrina, you don't want to miss this! It's the Zephyrs!" Chloe said, getting Sabrina out of her thoughts. "Huh?" Sabrina asked. "I know, one minute she was comforting me, the next this happened." I said, wiping my tears. "Feel better?" Sabrina asked. "A bit." I said.
However I know Harvey was right, even if he's a jerk. What the whole point of having powers if I can't use them to fix problems?! From now on, I'm gonna use my powers to fix every single problems. No, even better! I'll fix everyone's problems, both with my powers and without! I promise from this day onwards!
A guy came out of the vehicle with a megaphone. "Hey kids! I'm the coach of the Zephyrs and and we thought you might like a free show!" The coach said as the Zephyrs skated out of the vehicle and did some tricks while the crowd cheered. One of them even used his board as a ramp for the other two, allowing them to skate on the trees.
"Wild!" Chloe said. "Intensely." Sabrina said. "You know, Harvey's gonna be jealous." I said. "How come?" Sabrina asked. "Because the Zephyrs came after he left and he didn't even saw them." I said with a small smile. "Heh, you're right." Sabrina said before giggling as I snorted in laughter.
We were soon walking home. "I still can't believe you handed Harvey over to Gem like that. And him being a jerk." Chloe said to Sabrina and me. "Chloe, she practically guarantee him a member of the team." Sabrina said. "Plus we didn't hand him over to her, he handed himself over once we told him he needs practice. He wants to take the easy way." I said.
"Look, Aaron. Whatever Harvey meant earlier, ignore it. He's just being a jerk." Sabrina said. "Once you find out what he meant, you'll also think the same." I said. "No I won't. Promise. Besides, Harvey doesn't want to hear the truth. He doesn't want to buy that it takes a lot of practice to ever be really great at something." Sabrina said. "Like me and my jokes. Seriously, I spent a lot of time testing jokes to see which ones stick." I said.
"Well, the only way he's gonna join that team is if they're looking for a water boy. I just hope all that truth telling you did haven't landed Harvey in Gem's clutches for good. Well, tomorrow's Saturday, we'll hang out. Who knows, maybe we'll even see Harvey." Chloe said as she walked off.
"Yeah, maybe." Sabrina said. "Or maybe he'll still be a jerk for no reason. Except possibly being jealous of me for some reason." I muttered the last part to myself. "Huh?" Sabrina asked. "Nothing. Let's just hope Harvey stop being a jerk soon." I said. "Yeah, let's hope. See ya tomorrow." Sabrina said as we split ways to walk home. "See ya." I told Sabrina as I went home.
The next day, Sabrina, Chloe and I were cleaning the Spellman's car. "Chloe, check this. It's practically noon on Saturday and I have been calling Harvey since six o'clock this morning!" Sabrina exclaimed. "And?" Chloe asked, disinterested.
"And according to his mom, he's been at Gem's house every waking hour since he left school yesterday! It's like he's practically let himself get adopted by her. Since when does telling the truth make it that you're not on someone's side?" Sabrina vented. "Uh oh." Chloe said. "You just describe every time I tell someone the truth, sometimes you." I said. "Yeah-Hey!" Sabrina exclaimed, narrowing her eyes at me. "You know it to be true." I said. "Touche." Sabrina said before continuing with her rant.
"We're on his side. All we said is that he needs a week's worth of practice. Darn that Gem anyways." Sabrina said, holding the hose down while it was spraying water. "Look, I think you may be beating this practice thing to death. If it had been me, I wouldn't cut Gem off at the pass, I would've gone straight for the magic." Chloe said as she sat down Sabrina on a chair and turned off the hose.
I guess Sabrina noticed me flinching at the word 'magic' or something, because she looked at me. "Hey, it's up to you two, but I'm out of here. You get dangerous when you get this mad, I think only Aaron beats you in that category. Hmm, I should be glad we didn't decide do each other's hairs or tell stories." Chloe said, tossing the sponge at Sabrina.
"I don't know why I should care anyways. Harvey's acting like such a jerk, even to Aaron. And Aaron doesn't deserve it." Sabrina said. "Aw, thanks." I said. "No prob. I'll always be there to help you." Sabrina said. "And vice versa." I said before we felt a hand on our shoulders.
"Eek!" Sabrina exclaimed while I screamed like a girl. "Hey, it's me." Harvey told us, covered in soap. "Um, hi. How it's going at Gem's?" Sabrina asked Harvey. "How's Gem, 'the one who's your true friend'?" I asked sarcastically, glaring at Harvey.
"Not so good. Ross said only years of practice before I could even think about becoming a skateboard champ. Also Aaron, is that attitude really necessary?" Harvey asked. "Yes, it is." I said. "Guess I deserve it, given the way I been acting." Harvey said.
"Nooo, you think?" I asked sarcastically before sighing. "But I guess I can try and give you a second chance, to prove yourself that you're a friend to me." I said. "Really, thanks." Harvey said. "But this is the only chance you have, so don't do anything that will end this friendship." I told him.
"Well, you know what they say, practice makes perfect." Sabrina told Harvey. "Yeah, but practice is too much work. Gem's gonna see if she can get me into a 2-day skateboarding seminar run by a sect of miracle working shredder monks." Harvey told us, while the hose was spraying wildly.
"And if that doesn't work out, you're not even in high school yet. You got all the time in the world to work on your moves. Heck, Aaron trains himself with his skills and practice jokes everyday." Sabrina said. "True." I said, nodding my head. "Yeah, but I don't want to wait. I want to be a champ and I want to be one right now! See ya, Sabrina and Aaron." Harvey said as he left on his skateboard. However, he fell off and flat on his gut.
"Harvey's our best friend. We got to do something to help him. Maybe Chloe's right. Maybe we have been harping on the practice thing too much." Sabrina said. "Yeah, I think she's right. We did caused this to happen to Harvey." I said.
Sabrina and I soon walked in the house, with Sabrina practicing her argument for why she should use magic for Harvey. "And that, Aunt Zelda, is why I must be allowed to get a spell from the Spooky Jar." Sabrina said. "If you don't, we will keep pleading till you let us." I added as we walked towards the living room, where Hilda and Salem were at.
"Ah. End of the boredom is in sight." Salem told Hilda with a smirk. "Sabrina, Aaron. Zelda's studying at the library. What's up?" Hilda asked us. "We were on Harvey about practice, practice, practice, and Gem swooped in. And then the fancy coach dumped him, and now Harvey is heartbroken because he can't be killer in time for the championship. And now, Aaron and I need a spell from the Spooky Jar because he's our best friend and we want to help make his dream come true." Sabrina said.
"Friends help friends out, always. And we want to help Harvey." I said. "So please let us have one. Please, please, please." Sabrina and I pleaded. "Oh, wow. Wanting to make a friend's dream come true. That's totally cool!" Hilda said, approving our plans.
"Friendship, schimship. You're missing the big picture here. This is a big PR opportunity. Witch and Warlock uses magic to help lesser being. Just what a witch and warlock needs to counteract all the negative cauldrons and warts stereotypes. That, and all warlocks being evil stereotype. By helping you two out here, I could probably win a award from the Witches' Council." Salem said.
"Do you really think so?" Hilda asked the warlock-turned-cat. "Well, in any case, that what we'll tell Zelda once she finds out." Salem said. "Wait, when did this turned into you getting a award?" I asked. "Just now." Salem said with a smirk. "Oh brother." I groaned with a facepalm before we all ran towards the Spooky Jar.
The spirit within the Spooky Jar came out with a glowing orb. "Don't you want to wait to know what the problem is?" Sabrina asked. "Or give us a rhyme of how this works?" I added. "The entire neighborhood knows what the problem is. You've been out in the yard, ranting about it for hours." The Spooky Jar said.
"Hey, you didn't rhyme!" I exclaimed, shock. "No duh, Sherlock. I don't rhyme every time you need me. It's like you and your jokes or powers or something." The Spooky Jar said. "...Drats, you got me." I muttered in defeat. The Spooky Jar must have taken pity on me because of what he said next. "But since you asked for a rhyme." The Spooky Jar began, as I looked happy. (Yes, I was happy about him rhyming. Don't judge me!)
"Over his head, give this egg a crack. And your friend Harvey will become a star on the skateboard track. One standard athletic fame and fortune spell. Now go and whine no more." The Spooky Jar said as he went back into, well, the jar. "Thanks everybody!" Sabrina and I said as we ran out of Sabrina's house and towards wherever Harvey is. For some reason(*cough* Salem and Hilda*), I heard Quigley scream in pain.
"Okay, we got the spell that'll turn Harvey into a skateboarding champ. Now where is he?" Sabrina asked. We soon walked around, trying to find him. We started with his house. We then searched Sabrina's neighborhood, mine neighborhood and even the school but couldn't find him anywhere. "Harvey!" Sabrina and I called out, out of breath.
We soon ended up at the skatepark. Sabrina nearly drop the egg due to some skaters brushing near her, but she caught the egg at the last moment. Unfortunately, we were near Gem. "Go ahead. Kiss my sneakers. You'll gain my respect. And you, Aaron, can kiss my lips." Gem said. "No!" I exclaimed.
"Yeah, but I'll lose my lunch, and Aaron rather keep his inside his stomach, thank you very much." Sabrina said as she stood up. "What are you doing here, anyways?" Sabrina asked. "Yeah, Gem. This place isn't known for being a manicure." I said, as Sabrina and I fistbumped.
"I'm working out with Rolf. He says that I have some serious skateboarding talents." Gem told us. "We thought you were concentrating on Harvey." Sabrina said. "Yeah, him being a friend with benefits and all." I added. "Forget Harvey. Rolf said he needs, like, tons of practice and the shredder monks aren't returning calls. So I decided to land myself a spot on the Zephyrs and be Greendale's skateboarding hero." Gem told us.
"Wait a minute. You just, like, gave up on Harvey? What did Harvey said when he heard that?" Sabrina asked. "Oh, he was totally dramatic. Said something about his life being over. Whatevs." Gem said.
"And you stole his dreams? Gem, what the actual heck?!" I asked. "Well, I might reconsider if you go on a dat-" Gem began. "No! For the last time, no!" I snapped. "If Harvey's not okay when we find him, I'm gonna clean your clock." Sabrina said. "And I gonna let her." I added as we walked off. "Like, the maid does that. Duh!" Gem scoffed. "Not that clock, you psycho!" I retorted.
We soon found Harvey sitting on the sidewalk in front of a store, eating a granola bar and drinking soda. "Go away, Sabrina and Aaron. I don't want you two to see me like this." Harvey told us sadly.
"Harvey, you don't have to hide from us. We just want you to be happy, no matter what. And remember, we're always here for you." Sabrina told him as she and I sat down next to him. "Yeah. So Gem decided to steal your dream? That shows she soooo jealous of you for your skills." I said. "You look the same as always; a disappointment of air." A certain red-haired lady said passing by.
(Wait, Madi? You were there?! Madi: It was for business reasons.)
"Really, you think so?" Harvey asked. "Yeah. I mean, she's so cheap to think of a dream herself, she rather steal one from someone who has skills." I said with a small smile. "Now hold on to the curb." Sabrina said as she hit Harvey on the head with the magic egg, causing the magic to affect him and put his skating stuff on him. Yes, magic can do that for some reason.
"Thanks for that smack in the head, Sabrina. And thanks for the words of comfort, Aaron. I needed that." Harvey said as he threw his trash in the trash can, across the street. "It's what I do." I said, wiggling my fingers a bit. Harvey started doing some skateboarding tricks that were really impossible to make.
I noticed that petty feeling of anger from earlier start to swell again, but push it deep within myself. Right now, it's Harvey's time to shine. Harvey ended his tricks as the crowd that randomly came out of nowhere started talking about him. A news van soon pulled up in the middle of the street as a news reporter came out.
"Get ready for a new hero, sports fans. The future of skateboarding have arrived." The news reporter said before Harvey took off her wig. Which I saw via shape-shifting my height via my Gem. (I don't shape-shift much because it's uncomfortable to experience)
"Harvey? Hey, Harvey!" Sabrina said, trying to get a better look. "You can climb on my back." I told Sabrina as I returned to normal height before shape-shifting into a elephant. "Thanks, Aaron. Even thought you didn't have to, knowing you don't like doing this." Sabrina said as she climbed up. "Yeah, but I do want to help you with this. After all, friends help friends." I told her as we saw Harvey doing more tricks. Sabrina looked concerned for me shape-shifting like that, but I ignored it, since it was me helping her with a problem.
Soon, a helicopter appeared with a person recording Harvey and the Zephyrs van came. The coach and the Zephyrs came out to watch Harvey's tricks before bowing down to him. "Harvey Kinkle, would you please agree to join the team and be our captain?" The coach asked. "Cool. Wow." Harvey said.
Later that night, I was at home with my parents, eating dinner while listening to the news from the small television in the kitchen. "This is Perky Babble, and thank you for joining my special SSMS report. Harvey Kinkle, superteen on a skateboard, so Harvey. So at what point did you realize you have such an amazing natural gift?" Perky Babble asked Harvey.
"Uh, last Saturday afternoon." Harvey said before my mom changed the channel. The next channel have Harvey on it too. "Take it from me, Harvey Kinkle. Tough melon helmets are the best possible protections against..." Harvey began before my dad changed the channel this time, though Harvey was on that channel too.
"Split ends and frizzies. When my hair's a mess, I used Tame It! hair gel." Harvey said before my mom changed the channel again. "To give it that real Italian taste. Mwah." Harvey blew a kiss before the channel change again, this time, showing Harvey in a crowd of his fans.
Finally the channel changed one last time to a interview with Harvey. "Do I find that skateboarding is really a metaphor or a symbolic comparison of life and yet the fullness? Yeah, I guess." Harvey said sadly. "Before we go, Harvey, tell us. Is there any one person who inspired you as you rocketed your way to the top?" The interviewer asked. "Hmm. No, none that I could think of." Harvey said before I pushed my plate away.
"Can I be excused?" I asked my parents. "Uh, sure." My dad said, shocked. "Are you feeling alright? Are you sick again?!" My mom asked in a frenzied panic. "No, just full." I said as I walked upstairs to my room. Soon, I felt my iPod vibrate. I answered it, knowing, without looking at the number, it was Sabrina calling.
"Yes?" I asked. "Aaron, we messed up, badly." Sabrina said. "How so?" I asked. "The athletic fame and fortune spell we gave Harvey was a Class A VT spell." Sabrina said. "Oh no. Not the very temporary. And you found out how?" I asked.
"Hilda finally told Zelda and Zelda told me and Chloe." Sabrina said. "And Hilda and Salem knew the whole time." I said. "Not only that, but the spell could wear off at any moment. Meaning..." Sabrina began. "We just put Harvey in danger. Of broken bones, pain, agony and worse than broken dreams and pride." I said, horrified at what we just did. "Yeah, we did." Sabrina said, horrified as well.
The next day, we were at the skate park, where Harvey's doom await. "The crowd is at a fever pitch, here at the SSMS Extreme Skateboarding Championship, where's the name Harvey Kinkle is on everyone's list." The news reporter said as everyone in the crowd chanted Harvey's name.
Harvey has a movie deal. And even his mother has his autograph! Has the world gone to heck?! What's next, cats and dogs being friends?! Also, there's a guy in a William Shatner mask painted white on a skateboard. What is going on right now?!
"The contestants are taking their places. The Extreme Skateboarding Championship are about to begin! You have to see this competition to believe it, ladies and gentlemen. It is intense." A person announced.
Gem was about trying to get close to Harvey, but a security guard, the same from the space center, stop her. However, she was still saying something to Harvey. However, he blew her off, and the security guard escorted her away as Sabrina and I walked up to Harvey.
"Harvey, you got to listen. You have to drop out of the contest. Please, you need more practice." Sabrina pleaded. "Please, Harvey. Listen to us." I added. "Get real, Sabrina and Aaron. I'm famous. Famous guys don't do something as boring as practice. They just are famous." Harvey told us. "But Harvey..." Sabrina and I began before getting interrupted.
"And now, Harvey Kinkle!" The announcer said, starting off Harvey's round of tricks. The crowd were cheering for him while Sabrina and I were on edge. Soon, the spell wore off, and Harvey was falling towards the rails. Luckily, he landed on the ground without falling off his board. Unluckily, he was now panicking.
Sabrina and I waved to Hilda and Zelda and motioned towards the side of the bleachers. (My parents didn't know that Sabrina and I used magic on Harvey...yet.) Harvey was still somehow doing tricks, despite the fact he was panicking.
"Okay, it's magic time. But keep it low profile." Zelda told Sabrina and me. Hilda used magic to attach magnets to Harvey's skateboard and turn his shoes metal, so that he can't fall off. However, he was still out of control.
"Aunt Zelda, he's still out of control!" Sabrina said, as if she read my thoughts and said them out loud. "Not for long." Zelda said as she zapped us into a tree branch that was over the skate ramp and zapped Harvey's board into a dog board. Zelda, Sabrina and I conjured up some meat to use for the dog. "Here, puppy, puppy." Zelda said as the dog tried and failed to get the meat.
Meanwhile, the crowd thought it was special effects. "Alright, now." Zelda said as Sabrina and I zapped the board back to normal. The three of us and Hilda soon teleported next to a ramp. "Check this." Hilda said as she cracked her knuckles before sneezing, causing everything to rumble. That caused the ramps to go down, flat on the ground. We all clapped for Hilda. Even I was impressed by that.
"Ooh, very stylish." Zelda said. "But what's next?" Sabrina asked before we saw the ramp. "Oh no!" Sabrina and I said, and I'm pretty sure I heard Harvey said it as well. "We got to soften his landing." Sabrina said. "But how do we do it without everyone noticing?" Hilda asked. "Create a distraction." Zelda said. "And I got the perfect one." Sabrina said. "Oh, I like what you're thinking." I said with a smirk.
Harvey was soon in the air when Sabrina zapped Gem into the crowd and zapped a microphone in front of her. "Attention everyone. My name is Gemini Stone, and I still suck my thumb and sleep with a nightlight. *Gasp* Oh dear." Gem said, realizing what she said.
"Now!" Sabrina said as she, Zelda, Hilda and I conjured up a giant pillow for Harvey to land on. After landing on it, it disappeared, allowing him to land on the ground. Hilda and Zelda walked back to their seats, next to Chloe.
Everyone started booing at Harvey, he lost his movie and television deals, and he was pelted with food and trash from the crowd. Harvey ran behind Sabrina and me. "Why does everyone hate me just because I made a couple of mistakes?" Harvey asked us. "Actually, Aaron and I were the one who made the big mistake." Sabrina said.
"Yeah, we did." I said. "We let ourselves forget the truth about what it takes to be a winner." Sabrina said. "What's that?" Harvey asked. "Practice, and lots of it." I said, as we heard cheering. A kid won, due to him practicing ten hours a day, seven days a week since he was 6 years old.
"Do you think all that practicing has anything to do with him being so good?" Harvey asked us. "Could be. Definitely could be." Sabrina said. "How else do you think people get good at something? By practice, it's how you get good." I said.
"Sorry I acted like such a jerk. I should've listened to you two in the first place. It was unreal and everything started to fall apart. I was so freaked, I totally started to hallucinate. Magnets on my board, dog heads. It was gruesome." Harvey said.
"I want you to remember one thing, Harvey Kinkle. We're always here for you." Sabrina told Harvey when we were at some fences. "Yeah, Harv. Friends help friends, always. And we're friends." I said. "You're not gonna smack me in the head again, are you?" Harvey asked us. "No. Not now, anyway." Sabrina said as we gave him a deadpan look before we left.
"Huh?" Harvey asked. "Come on." Sabrina told him. "Yeah Harv." I said as Harvey walked alongside us. "Look!" Sabrina and I said as we each punched one of Harvey's arm. "Ow!" Harvey exclaimed in pain. "Gotcha!" Sabrina and I both said before the three of us started laughing.
Good news, no one got in trouble this time! All I got from my parents when they found out from Zelda was a lecture. But other than that, no groundings! But, I'm gonna keep my promise. I'm gonna fix every problems, with and without my powers. Harvey was right, and I'm gonna make sure that everyone ends up with a happier life, without any problems.
