Before Vi could even knock the door flings open with Caitlyn jumping into her arms. "You're home!" "Hi cupcake, sorry that I've been away for so long." Caitlyn pulls her inside and straight to the bedroom for privacy. "Talk to me, what happened with her?" Vi sits down hesitantly and hides her head. "After I left you, I went back to the room she was locked in. She refuses to stay submitted to me and kept trying to fight. The bite made it she was very limited and could barely do anything to me. I'm assuming she was able to resist due to the overwhelming amount of shimmer running through her veins. I wanted to get through to her but I couldn't. I had thought she may be getting there... I was wrong... She escaped earlier today. She carved into the door to say that she's leaving and that I won't be able to find her." Caitlyn comforts her, kissing her forehead. After a few moments she takes a deep breath. "I'll get enforcers to keep a look out just incase for her. At least you are back. I've miss you, my little brawler." Vi embraces her and starts crying, apologizing and begging for forgiveness about leaving then losing her. Caitlyn holds her tightly. "I know why you did what you did. I'm not happy about it but what's done is done. Now, you can get to work as an enforcer like how we spoke about. Study, I got everything you need. I filled out all your paperwork months ago, all you have to do is sign and date it." They both smile at the idea of working together especially Vi who loves seeing Caitlyn take action. She adores her sharpshooter. "Okay, I won't let you down." Vi eagerly states with a proud smile. The two cuddle up all day refusing to let each other go till dinner time.
"Caitlyn dinner's ready!" Her mother calls out, time for them to see each other again. The two walk out towards the kitchen but before they reach it, her mother lunges at Vi taking her to the ground. Vi tosses her off getting in front of Caitlyn snarling. Ms. Kiramman tries to get to her daughter but Vi's in the way. She growls. "Get away from my daughter!" Vi stands tall. "Never! She may be your daughter but she's my omega!" Both are beginning to release rage hormones preparing to fight.
Immediately the two omegas get between the alphas and go to theirs pushing them further away from each other. "Honey, I need you to leave her be. Get to know her. Don't fight. There is a better way." "Brawler, I need you to stand down from this fight. Please, for me. I need you to try to get along with her." The alphas growl at the idea of listening to their omegas when in the middle of a dominance fight but reluctantly agree to them.
In unison Caitlyn and her father smile. "Okay then! Let's eat dinner as a family!" The alphas are unamused at this but go along with it.
They all sit down at the table and the tension filled the room. The glares are exchanged between the alphas leaving the two omegas in a state of concern for a fight that they both know who would win and it wouldn't be good for family bonding.
Mr. Kiramman decides to break the silence. "So, how have you been Vi? Have you been eating well?" He looks at her concerned about the thought of her not eating over the months and happy to finally see her again. Vi politely smiles. "Yes, I have. I had some money on me that I used for a bit as well as stealing from a few small crime lords in the area." The mother goes to open her mouth to yell but he interjects before she does. "That's good, you took care of yourself as well as handled a few criminals while you were at it. I hope they didn't give you too much trouble." Caitlyn laughs. "Of course that was you. My men kept bringing in criminals tied up that were all beaten half to death with a few that had bite marks on their gland. We tried to figure out who it was but never made it in time to see. I didn't think it was you since the marks were much larger than the one you gave me but guess that makes sense since I'm your omega and not an alpha you stripped. Why am I not surprised that you were getting into fights brawler?" Vi smiles at her and before she could respond she was cut off.
Ms. Kiramman clears her throat. "You are a criminal who what? Takes on criminals like a vigilante? We have rules! Laws! But what, you think you can do better?" Caitlyn cuts in. "You are a councilor but I'm the Sheriff. Vi is all set to become an enforcer, just need to finalize the paperwork. She did the right thing, is it my preferred way of doing things? No. But it's her way and it works. They are off the street and in my custody, are they not?" She snarls at her mother.
Ms. Kiramman glares at her daughter. "Is this how you treat me? How you both do?" She states growling at the two omegas. "You keep defending, protecting and siding with this-" But before she could finish, she is interrupted.
"STOP" Mr. Kiramman yells. "I don't like how you keep trying to fight. Yes, we moved on with life when you were in the hospital and you had to learn how to fit in with who we became. I know you aren't a fan of Vi but in the end she is like a daughter to me and you will have to accept that especially with her back home now. And yes, this is her home before you say anything against that. I know you would have preferred to choose an alpha for Caitlyn but she is her own person with the right to pick for herself. This is who she chose and a primal at that. Stop trying to fight, you will lose if it gets physical and Vi will show you respect if you give it back. You can't expect it when all you are doing is showing aggression."
Caitlyn looks at her mother and stands up. "This was my choice, when will you accept that?" As an act of defiance she sit in Vi's lap with her arm around her neck. "As dad said, get to know her. The real her; not what you think she is or her past or the fact you didn't pick her out of your ideals. I didn't want a diplomat, or one of those scholars, or any other person you tried to push me to be with like how you would have liked. I chose her, I picked Vi. Please, at least try to accept it I'm your child but I still have thoughts, feelings, wants and desires of my own." Caitlyn is doing her best to hold back tears and to hold firm against her mother.
Vi looks up at her see her getting stressed and hugs her, holding her close. She kisses her shoulder softly to try to help her breathe a little easier, releasing calm hormones to aid. Soon after she feels Caitlyn becoming less tense.
Silence fills the room and everyone eats in peace. Once done eating Caitlyn grabs Vi's arm pulling her to come. Before exiting she looks at her father with a smile. "Thank you for making dinner, I'm sorry dinner together didn't go as planned." He smiles nodding to her as she leaves the kitchen.
The mom goes to follow but he grabs her arm and pulls her into his lap to hold her. "Honey, please leave them. They are adults and she doesn't need you to rescue her now that Vi is back. Against other alphas then you can attack all you want but this one is hers." She growls at him but lays her head down on his shoulder. In a low and concerned tone she sighs. "I just hope she made the right choice." He chuckles at that since that's how he was in the beginning before he got to know her for himself.
