Hogwarts
It's time for Ginny to go to school. She and her family reached platform nine and three-quarters early in the morning.
The Hogwarts Express finally stopped slowly at the platform.
Strangely, Harry and Ron didn't show up.
Ginny didn't think about that for too long. She felt dizzy as soon as she got on the train. Seeing all the people on the train, including the trolly lady, looking drunk and fascinated, she knew that the Aquamarine's power field was turned on.
My dear sister, already planning to boost your popularity from the first second of your journey? Cunning, I should say.
Ginny dragged her trunk to the end of the train and sat on the platform outside.
This is your own journey, Ginny Weasley, you alone.
As soon as she finished saying this to herself in her heart, the door behind her was opened, and a slow voice came dreamily, "You will not be disturbed here... Ginny, what a coincidence."
A pale skinned girl and a round face boy.
"Oh… you are… " Ginny recalled the day at Ollivander's.
"Luna, Luna Lovegood. I remember you but you forgot my name… I'm not angry at all."
That's… nice. Ginny thought.
"Why are you guys coming outside?" She asked.
"The atmosphere inside isn't very comfortable… I think something around me is making me feel fuzzy. I guess it's Wrackspurts. Then I saw Neville who's also not feeling well, so I knew I was right… I brought him here for some fresh air… I heard that the wind in the late summer is particularly helpful in driving off the Wrackspurts… right, Neville?"
"I'm not sure, you're probably right… " Neville said unconfidently.
"What about you? Why aren't you in a compartment? We passed by a person who looks a lot like you. Are you twins? Twins should stay together often, I heard doing that can increase your magic powers." Luna said.
Well, you must have heard it wrong. The only thing that increased was my tolerance. Ginny thought for a while and told Luna, "I'm hiding from the Wrackspurts too."
Her words gave Luna the joy of finding a confidant. Luna grabbed Ginny and Neville together and talked about… whatever bizarre thing she was talking about. It's obvious that Luna's knowledge is very abundant in a wide range of areas, but Ginny's ability to blather was pretty impressive too; plus a good listener like Neville, confirmed the old saying: Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter.
When the sky began to darken, a loud voice began to circulate in the compartments, "We will be reaching Hogwarts in five minutes' time. Please leave your luggage on the train, it will be taken to the school separately"
Luna got up and threw her robes on, then turned around and said, "Goodbye, Ginny, I had a good time. By the way, tell your sister for me that there are many Wrackspurts around her."
"Will do."
As soon as the train came to a stop, a crowd of people with black robes flowed out. The freshmen gathered in excitement, rushing to get out of the train. The older students swayed unhurriedly. Not far away, a giant-like man held a light to greet the new students. Ginny recognized him; she saw him in the bookstore that day. It was Hagrid who Ron often mentioned.
Ginny still didn't find Ron and Harry, a little worried.
In the dimming twilight, Hagrid was leading the first-year students to the water by the shore.
"Firs' years! Firs' years over here!" Hagrid yelled, "Follow me! No more'n four to a boat!"
When the boat drove across the black lake surface, the ripples behind the stern were spreading in circles, and slowly returned to smooth again. As the fleet approached the cliff, the freshmen bowed their heads neatly and avoided the protruding steep boulders. The boat carried them across the cliff to the secret open entrance. Led by Hagrid, they walked along the gravel road through a tunnel under the rock, then reached a damp grass covered by the shadow of the castle, and finally climbed the stone steps and gathered in front of a huge oak door.
As the door opened, they saw a tall, black-haired witch in emerald-green robes standing there with a serious expression. Her hair bun was tightly bound, her thin lips were tightly pressed.
"The firs' years, Professor McGonagall." Hagrid nodded towards the witch.
The first years were led to the high platform and lined up. Then a four-foot stool was placed in front of them. There was a shabby hat on it. The hat twitched, and at its edge, a rip opened like a human mouth. Then, the hat even started to sing…
Professor McGonagall stepped forward, holding a long roll of parchment in his hand, "When I call your name, you will put on the hat and sit on the stool to be sorted."
The sorting has begun.
This is the moment Ginny has been looking forward to for eleven years. Goodbye, my dear sister, I have to let the sorting hat satisfy me whatever he says!
She was so excited that she didn't notice where any other people got sorted into.
At last-
"Ginevra Weasley!"
Ginny could feel the floor trembling along with herself.
"Don't be nervous." Aquamarine held Ginny's hand gently, comforting quietly.
I'm not nervous, I'm just really happy.
She stepped forward and put on the hat.
"Seems like you… "
"Hold on don't say anything just yet let me talk first" Ginny interrupted the hat's voice inside her head, "I don't care where'd I be sorted into but please I have a request please when you see a girl who looks really like please DO NOT put her in whatever house you put me in I have been putting up with her for eleven years I just want to take a break for a while my future is depending on you please will you do this for me please please please!"
"GRYFFINDOR!" the Sorting Hat announced immediately.
Ginny happily jumped off the stool and went to meet her brothers. Gryffindor's long table burst into cheers again.
"Aquamarine Weasley!"
Aquamarine was stunned for a moment, then she walked up, stared at the hat for two seconds, drew out the silver-white wand, and gave the hat a Scourgify. She lifted the hat and gave the stool a Scourgify too. Only then did she steadily put the hat on her head and sat down on the stool.
"Forgive me for my little need of cleanliness." She said sweetly.
The sweetness almost made Ginny faint, who had just walked to the table.
Aquamarine sat on the stool for a long time, and a strange smile appeared at the corner of her mouth. Finally, a loud voice said, "SLYTHERIN!"
The Weasley family of Gryffindor for generations has a Slytherin. Everyone was fixed on their actions, completely petrified. Except for Ginny, she was praying for the hat in her heart for health and longevity. It truly is a model hat that emphasizes credibility and love, she couldn't help but sign with gratitude.
Aquamarine got off the stool, turned around proudly, walked towards the Slytherin table, and sat next to Young Master Malfoy.
There were voices buzzing in the Great Hall everywhere, and it seemed that everyone was discussing why the Weasley family had a child in Slytherin. Professor McGonagall, who was stunned for a long while, finally returned to her senses to continue the sorting.
Ginny couldn't care less about all of this. As the saying goes, everyone walks a different path, everyone has their ups and downs. My "ups" are coming, she thought. Stay away from kiwi and get close to gourmets.
Ginny resolutely focused on interacting with the food on the table. Suddenly, from the corner of her eye, she saw the small door next to the hall open, and a man who had appeared in Aquamarine's memory walked out in strides. When passing by Slytherin's table. Aquamarine stood up and smiled brightly. Under the shining of the smile, the man smiled unnaturally, as if something had pulled the corner of his mouth. He didn't stay long, walked directly to Professor McGonagall, and said something in a low voice. Professor McGonagall immediately got up and followed him.
That's weird… When Ginny found herself curious, she quickly filled her mouth with a big mouthful of mashed potatoes. Don't think about it, don't think about anything, you don't have to get involved in her life anymore, haven't you been looking forward to this day for years!
Ginny took a big bite on the chicken leg and told herself: she's going her way; Ginny Weasley, you're going another way.
