Colin
All of the owls in the Weasley family added together equals one.
Ginny decided to sit beside her brothers so she could get snacks her mother sent as soon as possible.
Today has been an unfortunate day for Ginny. Speaking character-wise, Ron dodged too fast; speaking setting-wise, she stood too close; speaking plot-wise, the howler was opened too soon. Character, setting, and plot, altogether, Ginny is fully exposed to the attack range of the howler.
"… STEALING THE CAR, I WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN SURPRISED IF THEY'D EXPELLED YOU, YOU WAIT TILL I GET HOLD OF YOU, I DON'T SUPPOSE YOU STOPPED TO THINK WHAT YOUR FATHER AND I WENT THROUGH WHEN WE SAW IT WAS GONE… "
"… LETTER FROM DUMBLEDORE LAST NIGHT, I THOUGHT YOUR FATHER WOULD DIE OF SHAME, WE DIDN'T BRING YOU UP TO BEHAVE LIKE THIS, YOU AND HARRY COULD BOTH HAVE DIED… "
"… ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED — YOUR FATHER'S FACING AN INQUIRY AT WORK, IT'S ENTIRELY YOUR FAULT AND IF YOU PUT ANOTHER TOE OUT OF LINE WE'LL BRING YOU STRAIGHT BACK HOME."
That gushing saliva was not wasted at all, every one of them sprayed on Ginny.
A boy with a camera took any chance he could to take pictures.
"Keep on with the great expression, please don't move!"
Keep my arse…
Ginny wiped the spits off her face and asked Hermione who was sitting beside her, "What happened last night?"
"Ron and Harry drove Mr. Weasley's car to school and hit the Whomping Willow."
"Cool!"
"Cool my arse!" Don't know when Hermione caught the Weasley's catchphrase.
She closed the book "Voyages with Vampires" and got up, "C'mon, time to go to class. What class do you have Ginny?"
"Transfiguration. And… um… can I ask you for a favor?" Ginny hesitated and said shyly, "Can you find me an old textbook? I left mine at home."
"Just like your brother." Hermione shook her head with disappointment. Nevertheless, she told Ginny where to find old textbooks.
She found the textbook she needs after searching in a few cabinets. Ginny was almost late, she ran into the classroom, rushing and arrive at the base just before class.
When Ginny was looking for quills in her bag, she discovered a book that she has never seen.
It's a diary.
Where did it come from? Ginny felt the cover of the diary but didn't remember owning anything like this. Doesn't matter, I going to use this gift from whoever to do something meaningful.
So she tore a page from the middle of the diary and folded a small plane. Then she tore off the page and folded a boat. After that, she spread the book on the table, covered it with a book, and started to draw a portrait of Professor McGonagall.
Just when she was frowning and thinking about changing Professor McGonagall's nose up a little bit, the picture seemed to be absorbed by the paper and disappeared, and a line of text with a delicate font appeared before her eyes.
Your drawing is beautiful.
Ginny was stunned, she watched this line of text appear little by little.
After a while, the text disappeared and another line appeared.
You can talk to me with a quill.
Merlin, I didn't pick up a death note now did I? Ginny quickly wrote this line as she thought "xx/xx/xx, a child who fell into the water was saved by Aquamarine Weasley. Unfortunately, brave Aquamarine Weasley sacrificed herself." And Ginny tried very hard to picture her sister's appearance in her head.
It took a while before a line appeared: This is not a death note.
I knew there's no such thing as free lunch!
Ginny overcame the disappointment and continued to explore the secrets of the diary. Throughout the morning, two Transfiguration lessons and two History of Magic lessons, she spent her whole mind on it. But until noon, the information she got was only a memory of the other party, which was the previous owner of the diary, named Tom Riddle.
During lunch, rumors about the miracles her sister Aquamarine made today began to fly at all corners of the school. How she convinced her teachers not to give her homework; how Peeves was extra polite towards her; how Filch and Mrs. Norris became friends, etcetera.
Ginny is not surprised, everything is possible in the Aquamarine's power field, but still, it's fun to watch some of her classmates turn green. Now now, here's all the pain I went through for the last eleven years.
When she was drinking her soup, a photograph stretched out in front of her eyes, with her great and special expression this morning.
"It's a picture of you. You can have it."
Ginny took it and took a closer look, then picked up the fork to poke it.
"How come it doesn't move."
"I use the normal Polaroid camera. Don't know how to wash magical photographs yet."
The child with a camera sat down next to Ginny and asked, "Do you like photography?"
"I don't know, we don't have a camera, but it looks fun." The boy enthusiastically helped her explain basic knowledge of the camera and the principle of photographing, I also lent the camera to Ginny to play with.
Flash, flash, Ginny took pictures everywhere even though she had no idea where exactly was she photoing.
"Having Fun?"
"Yeah."
"Know how to take pictures now?"
"Pretty much."
"I have a few cameras, you can borrow one if you want to."
Ginny stopped filming and looked at the boy in front of her, "Why are you being so nice?"
"We're friends right… actually, I have a small favor."
"What is it?"
"They said Harry Potter is your brother's best friend. Can you introduce me to him?"
Ginny smiled and said, why don't you go find him yourself? The boy said, I'm afraid I will be too nervous to speak when I see him... I want to take a photo with him, I think he is the best.
"You think Harry's the best? Are you sure it's not someone else? Someone like Aquamarine?"
"Never heard of her, Harry's the best anyway."
For that, Ginny was willing to help him. She just saw Ron heading towards the courtyard, Harry should be there too.
"Follow me then, um… what's your name?"
"Colin Creevey. Nice knowing you Ginny."
"How did you know my name?"
"I sat beside you during the whole four classes in the morning."
In the yard, Ginny pointed to Colin who was shaking with excitement
"Next to the girl who's reading, that one, the one talking to the redhead." Ginny called, "Ron, Harry!"
When Harry looked over, Colin was already blushing like a ripe apple. Without Ginny's introduction, he rushed forward uncontrollably, "Hello, Harry. I-I'm Colin Creevey," He was almost out of breath "I am also from Gryffindor. Do you think-Can I take a picture?" He raised the camera and asked hopefully.
"Take-a picture?" Harry repeated blankly.
"To prove that I've met you," Colin said eagerly and took a few steps forward. "I know all about you, others told me. How did you escape in the hands of that person's, and how he disappeared, and about the shiny scar on your forehead. (speaking of which, his eyes turned to Harry's forehead) A boy in our dormitory told me that if I wash the photo with the right amount of potion, the scenery and the people in the photo will move." Colin took a deep breath of excitement. "It's amazing, isn't it? Before I received the admission notice from Hogwarts, I never knew that magic could do this. My dad was a milkman, and he didn't believe it. I want to take some pictures and send those to him. It would be great if I could take a picture of you-" He looked at Harry pleadingly. "-Can your friend help me take a picture? With me standing next to you, and can you sign on it please?"
Colin attracted a large crowd of onlookers, and the situation was a bit out of control. When Ginny saw Malfoy's malicious figure in the crowd, she wisely chose to slip away. That seems to be the one Aquamarine's mind.
It has nothing to do with me, I didn't do anything. Ginny ran back to the common room, repeating these words over and over again. Colin was very trustworthy and brought a compact camera in the evening. Ginny learned from him that Professor Lockhart meddled in after she left.
Colin was very happy, thanked her many times, and told Ginny that he had a potion if she wanted to take pictures.
What are you thanking me for? I didn't know you were so excited, seemed like you didn't need me to introduce you at all.
"Ah, no problem," Ginny said so anyway.
While doing her homework, Ginny thought of the diary again. She opened the diary and solemnly wrote on it: Tom, can you do Transfiguration homework? I didn't really listen today…
