Dobby
There are not many people in the world who think eating a handful of moldy peanuts is lucky, but Ginny did. Nausea came at exactly the right time last night. Although she suspected that her stomach, liver, and gall would never be the same again, she and Luna dodged a bullet. Unlike Harry, Ron, and Hermione, who was blocked by a gang of people at the scene of the crime.
They heard movement outside in the bathroom.
The world is turned upside down. Harry became the number one suspect. Although He didn't receive any punishment, in the end, he had already formed the public opinion against him.
That night, Ginny and Luna only came out of the bathroom until Myrtle came back.
"Why do I keep seeing you today?" Myrtle said to Ginny, "The castle is huge. You certainly move fast."
Ginny asked if there was anyone in the hallway. Myrtle said, "There is no one else but you."
Ginny was so relieved that she could finally sneak back to the dorm.
Early on the following Saturday, Ginny and Luna gathered in the library.
"How's your communication with Riddle going?" Luna brought the topic up.
"Eh… it's going fine… " Ginny was planning to get through with this unclear answer.
"How fine? He still hasn't said anything?" Luna kept on asking.
Ginny shrugged as a "yes" to this question.
"What do you write to him anyway?"
"Umm… you can take a look yourself… the words have been kept on it since day one."
Luna opened the diary:
XX/XX/XXXX, I'm hanging out with Luna today. I'm happy.
XX/XX/XXXX, I hung out with Luna yesterday. I was happy.
XX/XX/XXXX, I hung out with Luna the day before yesterday. I was happy.
XX/XX/XXXX, I hung out with Luna about a month ago. I was happy.
Luna took a deep breath, "Ginny… for the sake of humanity, gid a hole and bury yourself… Don't wait for me to do it… "
"Luna, I'm really not good at writing. Plus, it's not necessary anyway."
"Before you made Tom completely speechless, it was a good idea. Give me the diary, I'll talk to him."
"Alright. But I'm warning you, writing diaries are dangerous. People can easily know your secrets." Ginny passed Luna the diary and lowered her voice, "I know Hermione's secret."
Hermione has a habit of writing diaries. She always carries it around and writes down one or two lines when she gets a chance. She leaves the diary beside her books when she's not using it. One time Hermione left her diary open on the desk, she went to get water, which took her about two minutes. Ginny was sitting right next to her and took a peek at the diary.
"It says that Professor Binns said that the Chamber of Secret was created by Salazar Slytherin, only the heir of Slytherin can open it and release the monster in the chamber to clear out those who are not purebloods. They got Lockhart's signature and borrowed a book from the forbidden section. Guess what they wanna do?" Ginny's voice went three times smaller, "Polyjuice potions."
"What for?"
"They suspected Malfoy and wanted to get some information out of him. Hermione is brewing the potion in Myrtle's bathroom, it'll be done after about three or four weeks."
"Ginny… "
"Hum?"
"Are you sure you just took one peek?"
Even though Luna called Ginny shameless, she's still interested in what Ginny was saying.
"Well, let's put Riddle aside."
"I told you, we should've done that a long time ago."
"Let's investigate the Chamber of Secret first."
"You really don't get tired, do you… " Ginny tapped on the table with her fingers, telling Luna to investigate on her own.
Are you scared? Luna answered her with taps.
"Luna," Ginny sighed, "I have been looking forward to a few quiet days for eleven years. Let me enjoy the rest of my life in peace."
"You know what muggles say? If your dreams aren't unpeaceful, they are too small."
Ginny was sure that's not what muggles originally said.
"What do you mean?"
"It's essentially saying, dream big! Make your life unpeaceful! And then you'll see a bright future!"
But I think the goal of living a peaceful life is very ambitious because it seems impossible to achieve it. Ginny said to herself, these famous sayings are all nonsense, I have such a big dream, and so far I don't see a bright future.
"Luna, wait until after the Quidditch match next week, and then we'll talk about making our lives unpeaceful." Ginny gave in.
"Honestly," Luna smiled dreamily, "I'm thinking the same thing."
The day of the game came soon, and for Ginny, another truth was confirmed that day-
There will always be misfortune in the days Ginny is looking forward to.
On the day of the game, Ginny felt dizzy as soon as she entered the stadium, the worst one she has ever had. She looked at the Slytherin auditorium, looking for her sister. Aquamarine's power field has grown again, covering the entire stadium. Ginny was afraid that her sister was hiding her powers, maybe she can even affect the whole school.
Something was not right.
Just like Ginny's intuition, one of the Bludger went out of control. It carried an intention to kill, not following anyone else in the whole game but Harry.
"That Bludger was possessed by Hatred," Luna said calmly.
"That's not Hatred, that's kiwi… " Ginny endured the splitting headache, and said with difficulty, "Every time I have a headache, it's always her."
Luna looked confused. Ginny thought to herself, ha, there are times that even you can't understand.
Ginny took Colin's binoculars and searched for Aquamarine in the crowd. Even if I can't stop you, at least I will hinder you! Slytherin likes to be in groups and rarely sits with students from other houses, which is very helpful for finding people. Ginny found Draco, but her sister was nowhere to be seen.
They should have been at the same place together…
"Ginny," Luna pressed down her binoculars, "I find it very interesting. Harry was chased very tightly in the east half of the venue, but not so much in the west half."
Ginny understood immediately. if someone wants to control the cursed Bludger to hit Harry, they would be watching Harry's movements closely. If that person is in the audience, they should have a panoramic view of the entire venue. But doing this kind of thing in the arena is too noisy and easier to spot. If you choose a good place outside the court…
Ginny looked around… the ground in the north is low and flat, there is a long river, and there are dark mountains in the east and west. It is a bit foggy today, it should be no sight of the stadium there. There's a class building in the south, facing the towering tower in the middle of the auditorium. Ginny remembered that in the afternoon, she could often see the projection of the tower in the corridor.
It's probably there! Away from the crowd, and could still see most parts of the stadium. But towers are blocking, forming some visual blind spots, so the attacks were not so accurate in the west half.
A figure flashed past the north-facing windows on the first floor of the class building.
Right there!
"Thanks, Luna! I'll be back soon."
"Bon voyage~"
Ginny rushed into the class building and quickly scanned the corridors on each floor. She saw a familiar figure on the third floor, her twin sister. Contrary to what Ginny expected, Aquamarine did not stand in front of the window, but faced the south wall, her eyes wandering on the wall. What was she looking for?
"Why didn't you go to the game?" Ginny's voice was so loud that she startled herself.
Aquamarine was taken aback. She turned around to see her sister standing behind and looking at herself. She frowned imperceptibly.
"You're the one to talk." Ginny saw her sister squeeze out a reluctant smile, "What's so good about that kind of kid's game~"
That's because of you. Ginny murmured.
"I'm going to the library." Seeing her sister standing there without saying a word, Aquamarine came forward and gently put her hand on Ginny's shoulders. "Wanna come?"
"No thanks. I was having a headache and just came out of bed. I'm going to the hospital wing." Ginny also smiled cooperatively.
"Hope you feel better soon."
"Don't worry, I'll be fine."
Aquamarine didn't say anything. She smiled again and went downstairs very in a seemingly delighted mood. Ginny sighed in relief when she saw Aquamarine passing through the hall and walking towards the library through the gap in the railing, and started walking back.
Just now, Ginny thought, I read that she seemed to be examining some tube. Her behavior is getting more and more strange.
Passing through the corridor on the second floor, a skin-coloured thing caught her eye. Ginny looked closer and it turned out to be a house elf!
He was standing on the window sill, wearing a worn-out pillowcase. His slender fingers pointed straight into the air and gestured left and right. Ginny looked around and started yelling.
The Bludger hit Harry's elbow.
Merlin, that looks painful! His arm is broken!
"It's you! You did it!"
The elf fell from the window sill in shock, and a pair of tennis-ball-sized eyes stared at Ginny in fear.
"Dobby didn't… nothing, Miss… "
"You liar, I saw it! You wanted to kill Harry!"
"No! Dobby will never harm Harry Potter!" The elf screamed in terror and jumped onto the window sill and opened the window. Ginny had only one thought in her mind: do not let it go. She climbed onto the window sill with hands and feet and saw the elf in mid-air. She jumped up towards him to catch him.
A sharp crack filled in Ginny's ears. The elf disappeared, and Ginny was in the midair outside the window on the north side of the second floor, holding a pillowcase in her hand.
She regretted her recklessness.
Too late.
