(A/N: Well, folks, we're back. And after the emotional rollercoaster we made in 2021 concerning this story, it's time we start picking up the pieces by having the characters, and the residents, begin the road to recovery. So, let's dive into that process, while[hopefully] wrapping up this story this year.
Also, hope you enjoy the episode. Please vote and comment. And one last thing: the remainder of this story will have some answers for some questions that we have made/ask ourselves during this story, but we'll leave the rest of the answers for Secret Life. So stay tuned for that when we get there.)
Aaron's P.O.V.-Monday Morning, Dimension(Dastardly)'s Residence
"So, you're not a Saiyan?" I asked.
It's the first normal Monday since the incident, and the shock of everything finally left me. And when it did, all I had were questions about everything about my life.
Especially since finding out that my dad is the Dread Baron and my mom is Daisy Mayhem, which I found out shortly after getting that medal. And that I am part of the Dastardly family tree.
My mom sighed. "No, I was never a Saiyan. All of those 'Saiyanese' I taught you were just random gibberish," she admitted.
"Does this mean I'm not a Saiyan?" I asked. Sure, there was the fact that for some reason I had a tail, and we-
Suddenly, memories of the fight with Harvzilla, and everything leading up to it filled my head, forcing me to take a deep breath. No, definitely not bringing that up.
"No. Somehow, you became a Saiyan hybrid a few hours after you were born," my mom said.
"We still have no idea how it happened. One moment, you were just a regular human, even with small bits of magic, and then the next, you ended up with those genes." My dad added.
"So, guess that's that, huh? Hopefully I might get Super Saiyan in a different manner, then" I say, more to myself than them.
(14 Year Old Aaron[AKA, Present Aaron]: Look at how well that went.)
"And you don't have magic at all?" I asked my dad.
"No. My mom may have magic. But me and my siblings were born normal. Even if we did, we never once wanted to have magic at all." My dad said.
"So how did I became magical?" I asked.
"...That's a tale for another day," was all my dad said on the matter, as my mom agreed with him.
"Alright." I say, dropping it. "Though, I have to ask. Why did you change your names?" I asked.
"It doesn't excuse it, but I was trying to hide from my mother," my dad admitted.
"Why?" I asked.
"Let's just say we don't have a good relationship. Or any relationship at all. Heck, she doesn't even love Diane, Donald and Dick. Especially Dick for some reason."
"What about the other Dastardly?"
"I haven't talked to my dad since me and my siblings moved out of our childhood home, and I haven't been in contact with Dick, Diane or Donald in years. Though they are scattered around America." My dad said.
"And I have a bad relationship with my sister, so I never talked to her." My mom said. "Then again, she's a goody two shoes," she added.
"However, after this, we realize that trying to hide our names, trying to pretend to be normal, was the worst idea we made." My dad said.
"Technically, you made the decision." My mom said.
"Yeah, but who went along with it?"
"Darn."
"Anyways, what we're saying is that we're going to legally change our names back."
"So does this mean we are no longer referred to as the Dimension?" I asked.
"Nope." Both of my parents said.
"Good. Because not trying to be mean, but that's the worst idea for a last name," I said.
"That's what I said when he suggested it," my mom said.
"Hey, I thought it was a great name." my dad complained.
"Then why was your expression similar to someone who ate a lemon when you came up with the name?" asked my mom.
My dad reacted with a deadpan face as my mom laughed.
Later-Greendale Junior High-Everyone's P.O.V.
"So, I wonder what's going to happen today?" Sabrina asked.
"Besides the town trying to rebuild itself?" Aaron asked. "At this point, I'll take anything as long as they're not parades."
"Hey guys," a familiar voice said behind them. They turned around, surprised.
Chloe was walking towards them, waving. However, instead of her left hand, she was waving a prosthetic hook. She was also walking a bit slowly, due to the prosthetic leg she had as a replacement for her right leg.
When she finally got near them, they saw that she had a eye patch over her right eye.
"Hey, Chloe." Aaron said in a somewhat casual tone. Mentally, he was assessing the damage Chloe's body has and wondering whether or not he could've prevented them.
"Chloe, are you alright?" Sabrina asked, noticing the injuries as well.
"Yes, Sabrina. In fact, I'm thinking about bringing back the age of the pirates. Minus the bad hygiene, of course," Chloe joked.
"...Well, we know one thing that wasn't injured: your sense of humor," Sabrina said.
"Is that why you got the hook?" Aaron asked.
"Don't worry, I won't stab you with it." Chloe said.
"But how are you going to use a phone with one hand?" Sabrina asked.
"Actually, people have use phones with one hand before. Especially with those 'smartphones' I've seen across America," Aaron point out.
"Oh yeah," Sabrina said, remembering that.
"Wait, you went around America? How come?" Chloe asked.
"Because everyone wants to meet the 'hero of Greendale,'" Aaron said, crossing his arms. "Despite the fact that this was a isolated incident, the rest of this country doesn't care."
"Oh yeah, that reminds me. Chloe, turns out Aaron's family aren't just random nobodies!" Sabrina exclaimed.
"No duh, Sabrina. They're people." Chloe said like it was obvious.
"No, I mean Aaron is part of the Dastardly family!" Sabrina said.
"What?!" Chloe asked, surprised.
"In fact, I'll let him tell you," Sabrina said.
"Thanks. Given you stolen the chance for me to drop that bombshell." Aaron said, giving Sabrina an unamused expression.
"So, who's your parents? Are they Dick Dastardly and Penelope Pitstop?" Chloe asked.
"No. They're the Dread Baron and Daisy Mayhem," Aaron said.
"The power couple from the Really Rottens?" Chloe asked.
"The same." Aaron nodded.
"So, how come you have magic?" Chloe asked.
"My parents won't explain exactly how, but for now, let's just say genetics from my grandma." Aaron said.
"Guess that explains it. Kinda. Anyways, have any of you two seen Pi?" Chloe asked.
"Not since he left for the convention. Though I don't know how long the inevitable can be delayed," Aaron said.
"I know what you're meaning," Sabrina said.
"I doubt he's going to like it when he hears about it," Chloe adds.
"Hear about what?" Another familiar voice asked, causing the three to stiffen up. Turning around, they saw Pi, a smile plastered on his face.
"Like, dude and dudettes, I seem to miss the exciting stuff. While I was getting an autograph for my parents, Greendale was having a kaiju attack," Pi said, showing said autograph.
However, Pi notices his three friends' expressions, causing him to lower the autograph.
"Oh, I forgot. A kaiju attack is bound to cause a lot of damage and casualties. Sorry if I accidentally offended you with my excitement," Pi said.
"Actually, Pi. I wasn't here when it happened. I was at the Mortal Kombat tournament," Sabrina admitted.
"Oh. How did that go?" Pi asked.
"Actually, Pi, that isn't important. What is important is-" Sabrina began.
"I got this, Ms. Spellman," Janice said, walking towards the four.
"Ms. Janice. I'm sorry if I racked up a lot of unexcused ab-" Pi began.
"Actually, Pi. I have bad news, and I think it's best if I told you in a private setting," Janice said.
"Um, okay?" Pi said, clearly confused. Despite that, he followed Janice as she led him to her office.
"Should we fo-" Chloe was about to ask.
"No. We should let them talk it out," Aaron said, his tone carrying sadness. "Plus, us being there is going to make things worse for him afterwards, even if it's for emotional support," he adds.
"Know that from experience. I wouldn't talk to anyone for days after my mom died," Sabrina admitted.
The three walked down the hallways, heading towards their class in silence. As they reached the end of the halls, they heard Pi's cries of anguish, echoing from Janice's office.
Later-Spellman's Residence, After School
"Grr! I hate you! Cursed contraption! Die!" Quigley exclaimed in anger, gripping the camera he spent the past hour trying to set up and shook it, as if he was choking someone.
"My, isn't this a pretty picture?" Hilda asked, causing Quigley to cease the attack on the camera, which he hid behind his back. Zelda and Sabrina, the latter who had returned back from school just a few minutes ago, were standing in the doorway.
"Oh. Hello, girls." Quigley said sheepishly.
"What's the problem, Great-Uncle Quigley?" Sabrina asked, walking over to her great uncle.
"I, uh, seem to have a little difficulty loading the camera," Quigley admitted, holding up the camera.
To prove his point, he tried loading a roll of film into the camera, closing the back of it. He then set it back on the porch as everyone else watched, wondering what's next.
However, the camera opened itself up, causing the film to fall out. It landed on the porch, rolling past Quigley's foot.
"Argh! Why you little-!" Quigley exclaimed in anger as he went to pick up the film.
Hilda gasped, causing Quigley to turn around. Just in time for the camera, somehow sentient, to blind him with its flashing light.
"Where did it go? I can't see!" Quigley said, stumbling around in one spot.
"Chill out, Quigley. What's the big rush?" Zelda asked, as Quigley rubbed his eyes, getting rid of the flashes.
"It's my plant. It's the extremely rare to mythicist hibiscus. It only blooms once every 25 years, and today's the day!" Quigley explained, as Hilda and Sabrina gave each other shrugs.
"And since I fed and watered it every day for 25 years just waiting for this moment, even when I was moving here, I want to take a picture of the moment when it blooms." Quigley explained, putting the film back in the camera.
"There, now I'm ready." Quigley said.
However, the camera decided that it wanted to punk Quigley, given how it opened up to launch the film onto his face. Hilda and Sabrina both covered their eyes.
Quigley glared at the camera before jumping on it, causing him and the camera to fight. However, the camera won by wrapping Quigley up with the film. To proclaim its victory, it gleefully put one of the legs, since it was on a tripod stand, and put it on top of Quigley's chest, similar to war veterans in paintings.
Hilda twirled her fingers around, either for appeal or just to gather some magic, and zapped the camera and the film. The camera was put back on the porch, no longer sentient, while the film, unwrapping Quigley, was put inside the camera.
"I'm so glad that this camera has an easy loaded-in feature," Quigley said sarcastically, before getting behind the camera, eagerly waiting for the flower to bloom.
"Glad something comes with an easy feature," Sabrina said.
5 Minutes Later-Sabrina's Room
"Now if only life came with an easy 'fix everything' feature. Then everyone wouldn't be suffering from emotional pain." Sabrina said to herself while laying on her bed, reflecting on everything that happened since Harvzilla. Along with everything that happened since her mom's sudden and untimely death.
"If only there was a cure for broken hearts," Sabrina mused, putting her face in her pillows.
"Well, if you want a cure for broken hearts, then I got just the person." Zelda said, standing in the doorway.
"Aunt Zelda! How long were you standing there?!" Sabrina asked, surprised.
"About the past minute or two," Zelda admitted as she walked over to Sabrina's bed and sat next to her.
"Anyways, who's the person? Please tell me it isn't Scar," Sabrina said.
"Nope, not him. Especially given everything he pulled in recent times," Zelda said, referring to Salem.
"So if it's not him, thankfully, then who is it?" Sabrina asked.
"Well, he's the ancient and revered Wise Warlock of the east." Zelda said, conjuring up a card, which she handed to Sabrina.
"Wait, you're usually the one who full of good advice. Why are you referring me to someone else?" Sabrina asked, grabbing the card to read it.
"Because there are times where I don't know how to help you find the solution," Zelda admitted.
"That, and you wanted a free frequent flyer mile with every referral, do you?" Sabrina asked.
"Actually, no. Back then, yes. Especially since those were times before airplanes were a thing, so we have to stick with broomsticks and other magical flying vehicles. You won't believe how much they charge you for a flying canoe ride." Zelda said.
"How much?" Sabrina asked, putting the card on the bed.
"More than what Hilda and I made when we went on the gold rush. Even by today's standards." Zelda answered.
"Okay. Anyways, I'll visit the Wise Warlock. After all, what do I have to lose?" Sabrina asked, jumping off her bed. "How do I get there?" she asked, realizing that.
"Read the spell off the back of the card. It'll take you to where he is," Zelda explained, handing Sabrina the card.
"'Take me to the Warlock,
"'Have him heal me up like a doc.'" Sabrina recited.
The spell soon engulf her, taking Sabrina out of her room and towards the Wise Warlock's location.
"Zelda, where's Sabrina?" Hilda asked.
"I told her about the Wise Warlock and she went to see him," Zelda answered.
"The Wise Warlock? You mean he's real? How did you figure that out?" Hilda asked.
"I went to him after the disaster I wanted to call my wedding," Zelda said.
"Oh," Hilda said, feeling incredibly awkward.
"However, just as he helped me learned the lesson that took me till now to learn, he'll teach Sabrina the lesson about how to discover the cure for this. And hopefully, she'll learn it quicker than I did," Zelda said.
"Given that she's half-mortal, I'm sure she'll learn it quickly," Hilda assured Zelda.
Meanwhile-Sabrina's P.O.V.-?, Somewhere Within The Eastern Hemisphere
Sabrina ended up in the snowy mountains somewhere, and she just realized that she didn't bring a jacket. That realization came after a snowy breeze blew past her, causing her to feel cold.
"Oh great. Why don't these guys ever live in Palm Beach?" Sabrina snarked, wrapping her arms around herself to try and conserve some body heat.
In response to that, the wind blew hard, pushing Sabrina to the ground. Sabrina pushed herself back up, and force herself to walk forward.
However, since the snow was coming down heavy by this point, she couldn't see a few feet in front of her, causing her to fall face first in snow due to tripping on a rock.
However, she saw a green goblin in front of her. "Huh?" she asked confused, before deciding to ask the goblin a question. "Are you the Wise Warlock?"
The goblin, having a stern expression on its face, shook its head no. It then pointed towards a specific part of the mountains behind it and started walking away.
"Hey!" Sabrina protested, since the goblin didn't offer to help her up. Standing up again, she followed the goblin, who indicated that Sabrina should do so.
The two walked over a narrow rock bridge, which was covered in snow. Fortunately for Sabrina, she didn't slip.
She liked to believe that some guardian angel or something supernatural prevented the rules of physics and logic from getting here, because realistically, she would've been blown off the bridge by the winds, or slipped and fallen due to the snow.
After a few minutes, the goblin pointed to a cave entrance that was in the side of a mountain. The two went inside, which instantly brings some relief to Sabrina. At least she wasn't outside, freezing.
"Hello? Anybody here?" she asked as she walked deeper into the cave.
Soon, she found an balding old man with a long white beard wearing purple robes. He seems to be mediating, hovering a couple feet off the ground.
Sabrina looked around to make sure that there wasn't anyone else around, just in case if someone else might be the Wise Warlock. Seeing that there is no one else besides her and the old man, Sabrina turned towards the old man, confirming that he is indeed the Wise Warlock.
Sabrina coughed, though she wasn't sure if it was due to attempting to get the Wise Warlock's attention, or due to Wise Warlock's lack of personal hygiene, given the odor he was radiating. Probably both, Sabrina mused as she shrugged.
"Oh Wise Warlock. I, uh, have travelled far enough in search of your wisdom." Sabrina said, trying to imitate the meditation pose. The problem was that she was standing on one foot while crossing the other leg in front of the one she was standing on.
"Ohm," said the Wise Warlock, in a barely audible tone.
"Pardon?" Sabrina asked, dropping the imitated meditation pose and raising a hand to her ear.
"Ohm," repeated the Wise Warlock.
"What is it, oh Wise One?" Sabrina asked, walking to him.
"Ohhhh, I got such a leg cramp! Don't stand there like a dummy! Help, straighten me out," the Wise Warlock said as Sabrina grabbed one of his legs.
Straightening it, she heard audible cracks from the leg. The Wise Warlock exclaimed in pain, and relief, as Sabrina straightened out the other leg.
"How do people sit like this?" asked the Wise Warlock, covering his face with his hand. "How do they ignore the pain that grows from that? You got any ointment?" he asked Sabrina.
"Uh, no." Sabrina asked, dumbfounded. Zelda sent her to see a old man who gave himself leg pain? And even better, Zelda didn't thought to tell her to bring ointment!
"Figures. People always bring me their troubles, but do any of them bring me any ointment?" The Wise Warlock asked.
"Uh, maybe I should come back when you're feeling better," Sabrina said.
By that, I mean running and screaming while not looking back and hopefully put this behind me. Sabrina said in her thoughts, as she begin backing away.
"No. Stop." The Wise Warlock said, resting a hand on Sabrina's shoulder. Surprised by that gesture, whether because the Wise Warlock was standing, or because for some reason Sabrina felt safe, Sabrina stop right where she stood.
"Sit. Take a load off," he said, leading her to a smooth rock, which she sat on. The Wise Warlock then closed his eyes, his index finger resting on his forehead.
"I see an attack on your hometown, I see lots of people losing their friends, family and even lives. I see lots of emotional scars," the Wise Warlock said, opening his eyes as he pointed his finger at Sabrina.
"Amazing! How do you know that?" Sabrina asked, amazed by the deduction.
Maybe Zelda didn't send me to the wrong guy, Sabrina added in her thoughts.
"My magical skills can read a person's memory from their hearts, along with their emotional memories, and I don't need to be near them to do that," the Wise Warlock explained. "Plus, everyone in the magical community had heard what happened in Greendale," he added.
For some reason, the goblin decided to do a rim shot.
"Who is he?" Sabrina asked.
"Other than his name being Norman, I don't know. He's a goblin who decided to work for me a couple of years back. He does some cleaning, cooking. You haven't truly eaten unless you've a goblin-cooked meal," the Wise Warlock said.
Norman's response to that is to make more sounds with the drum set he's using.
"Anyways, where was I?" asked the Wise Warlock. Suddenly, he snapped his fingers. "Ah, yes. The Wise Warlock knows all, and he knows you are suffering from a broken heart!" he diagnosed, as a ray of sunlight shone down on him and Sabrina.
It soon left. "That'll be $24.95. You can pay at the register, and on your way out, don't forget to visit the gift shop," the Wise Warlock said, helping Sabrina up and leading her towards another part of the cave, hidden by a red curtain.
"We're having a special this week on chocolate wizard heads," the Wise Warlock continued, as Norman pulled the curtain, revealing said gift shop. Though it looks more like a store where one can get magic stuff than it does a gift shop.
"But...but...but, um," Sabrina tried to stammered out as the Wise Warlock shook her hand.
"And be sure to tell all of your friends about the Wise Warlock. I gotta go now. I got guest like you wouldn't believe," the Wise Warlock said, about to leave.
"Now just wait a second. I already know what is wrong with me! I've been dealing with it for the past month. I came to you for a cure! Not only for myself, but for everyone in Greendale!" Sabrina shouted.
"Well, mostly everyone," Sabrina added, since she wonder if there are some people who aren't affected by the incident.
"A cure? For broken hearts?" The Wise Warlock asked dumbfounded. "What do I look like, some kind of god?" he asked, walking over to Sabrina.
"I don't know why I agree to Aunt Zelda sending me here. I'm out of here," Sabrina said, about to walk out of the cave. Only to barely avoid walking into the Wise Warlock, who somehow appeared in front of her.
"Okay, okay. Don't get your knickers in a knot. I'll tell you what you've gotta do. After all, it's the same thing I told your aunt Zelda all of those years ago." The Wise Warlock said.
A couple of minutes later, the two were in a more open part of the cave. The Wise Warlock stood on a rocky platform, telling Sabrina what she needs to do.
"They who wishes to cure broken hearts must first go on a quest!" The Wise Warlock said, sounding like a quest giver.
"A quest?" Sabrina asked, confused.
"What, you're heartbroken and deaf? I said a quest." The Wise Warlock said.
"What do I have to find on this quest?" Sabrina asked.
"You must find a person who has never, ever have their heart broken. Then, and only then, will I tell you the cure!" The Wise Warlock said like a stern mentor. "Oh, and on the way back, can you pick up some milk that isn't Danish?" he requested, ruining the impact he was building.
"But how will I know if somebody have their heart broken or not? I'm still developing my magic, and I don't have the same magic skills as you," Sabrina points out.
"With this!" The Wise Warlock exclaimed, snapping his finger. Norman brought a device that looks similar to a portable chalkboard. "Thank you, Norman," the Wise Warlock said to Norman.
He then turned his attention back to Sabrina. "I call this my Hearty Cam. Just look through this screen. It'll show you if the person wearing it ever suffered a heartbreak,' he explained, turning the device on. However, despite Norman wearing it, the screen only show static.
"At least, it should. Either the reception here in this cave is shot, or Norman is secretly dead," the Wise Warlock said. Sabrina scoffed, not impressed with the device, or how she was expected to figure it out without instructions.
"Tell you what. I'll give you the Hearty Cam as it is for $50, plus postage and handling." The Wise Warlock said.
"If you really wanted to help, you wouldn't sell me some broken-down gizmo. Especially since it has no instructions, and you expect me to figure it out. Heck, you wouldn't try selling me stuff at all. Instead, you should've offered to come with me." Sabrina said.
"The Wise Warlock on a quest?" The Wise Warlock asked, looking offended.
"Oh, I give up. I don't even know why Zelda would recommend me a old washed-up coot when she could've given me the cure herself." Sabrina said, about to leave once more. Only for the Wise Warlock to block her path again.
"You are such an impatient one, just like Zelda," the Wise Warlock said, crossing his arms. He then lowered them. "Okay, okay. I'll go with you, just as I have travelled with Zelda once. I have to go pick up my dry-cleaning anyways," the Wise Warlock said.
"Really?!" Sabrina asked, surprised that something seems to be going her way for once. Magical, of course. Something magical going her way for once.
"Yes," the Wise Warlock confirmed. "Norman, I'll be out questing with smartypants over here. Watch the fort, and don't forget to answer the phone," the Wise Warlock said.
"So you're really going on a quest with me?" Sabrina asked as she and the Wise Warlock head towards the cave's exit.
"We should really get your hearing checked out." The Wise Warlock said.
A Couple of Hours Later-Greendale, U.S.A
Sabrina and the Wise Warlock teleported in downtown Greendale. The Wise Warlock was wearing a hood over his head, courtesy of Sabrina. Mainly due to her not wanting anyone to react badly towards the Wise Warlock, given everything that recently happened.
"So, this is what happened to Greendale? I thought living in a cave was depressing," the Wise Warlock said, surveying the damage that was the result of Harvey and Salem's actions. A couple of the buildings are being repaired on by construction workers.
"Actually, living in a cave is depressing. At least a city or a town, like Greendale, can be rebuilt after some time. A cave can't be rebuilt once it gets destroyed, though." Sabrina points out.
"Plus, it's only been a week and a couple of days since the incident anyways, so it's not like everything will be magically fixed like how Power Rangers or even the Godzilla franchise claims," Sabrina adds.
"What's a Power Ranger?" The Wise Warlock asked.
"Nothing," Sabrina said, remembering that the Wise Warlock wouldn't know that small tidbit. "Anyways, follow me. I know someone who never had her heart broken." Sabrina said.
The two walked in the direction of Chloe's house, which took them about an hour. However, as they stop at the end of Chloe's driveway, Sabrina realized something.
"Wait, how are we going to find out whether or not she had a broken heart? Neither of us brought the Hearty Cam," Sabrina points out.
"Were you deaf back in the cave? My particular brand of magic allows me to read a person's memory from their hearts." The Wise Warlock said.
"Yeah, and what about me? I can't do that," Sabrina points out.
"Well, then," the Wise Warlock said, thinking for a moment. "You'll have to hold my hand," he said.
"Um, what?" Sabrina asked, shocked.
Serious pedophile alerts going off, her thoughts added.
"You point out that you can't see a heart's memory, and I don't have the skills to show you those memories either. So if you hold my hand, both of our magic will combine, allowing us to do just that." The Wise Warlock said.
"Fine. Just hope no one comes by and thinks anything bad going on," Sabrina said, grabbing the Wise Warlock's hand.
As soon as she did so, the Wise Warlock held his free hand up, palm facing the house. A rainbow-colored magic energy, shaped like a heart, was sent into the house, disappearing into the walls.
For a few moments, nothing happened. And then Sabrina and the Wise Warlock were suddenly thrusted into a pitch-black setting.
However, it didn't remain pitch-black for long, for the environment suddenly changed into something Sabrina recognized from before she left to Mortal Kombat: Greendale Hospital.
Sitting on a bed was Chloe, her face had a sad expression. "Chloe, what's wrong?" Sabrina asked. However, Chloe didn't react to her.
"Hey, how come she's not noticing...us?" Sabrina asked, her brief anger at the Wise Warlock changing to shock.
He was transparent, and looking down, she noticed she was transparent too.
"What the?" Sabrina asked.
"This is a memory within her heart. We can't interact, only watch and listen," the Wise Warlock explained.
"Guess I can rule out a career in dancing. And modeling," Memory Chloe said with a sigh, looking from her reflection in the mirror across the room to the prosthetic leg laying across a chair next to the bed.
"Chloe..." Sabrina said, feeling sympathy for Chloe. Chloe had so many ideas for her future, and for two of those options to be robbed from her, that have to be the worst feeling.
However, Sabrina was surprised when Chloe chuckled a bit, losing the sad expression. "However, there's always singing, acting or a comedian. And if not those, there are other options." Memory Chloe said to herself.
"Just because I lost a couple of career options doesn't mean it's the end of the world. It's just mean I have to choose something else." Memory Chloe said, a smile on her face.
"However, until I can move on from this, I can't dump this on Aaron and Sabrina. Sabrina already have her own problems. And Aaron...I can already see that he feels guilty for the incident for some reason. I mean, it's not like it's his fault that Harvey went and did all that. But either way, I should wait until I talk to someone about my problems," Memory Chloe said.
Suddenly, everything was pitch-black again, only to brighten up again. This time, Sabrina and the Wise Warlock were back on Chloe's driveway, no longer transparent.
"So Chloe has her heart broken from this?" Sabrina asked. Chloe acted like everything was fine, and yet she was secretly hurting from this incident.
"It seems so," the Wise Warlock said.
"Now I have more of a reason to kick Scar's teeth in," Sabrina grumbled under her breath.
"What?" The Wise Warlock asked.
Sabrina took a deep breath before letting it out. Getting angry at Salem now wouldn't help her get the cure for broken hearts.
"Nothing. Let's find someone else I know who never suffered a broken heart: Pi." Sabrina said.
Until today, but then again, this is Pi I'm talking about. He'll probably resort to paranormal stuff to communicate with his parents. So, for all I know, he's probably fine. Sabrina said in her thoughts as she and the Wise Warlock head towards Pi's house.
30 Minutes Later-McDonald's Household
"Pi, are you here?" Sabrina asked, walking up to the porch. This time, she thought to introduce him to the Wise Warlock while explaining that the Wise Warlock might help him with his recent troubles.
At least, that was the plan. However, not only was Pi not at his house, but all of his stuff were gone.
"This is strange. Pi would've come here to get his own stuff by now. Why aren't they here, and where is he?" Sabrina asked, confused.
"Maybe the memory from his heart could provide the answer. Even if he not near, I can still read it," the Wise Warlock said, holding out his hand.
"How would you even know who he is?" Sabrina asked, taking his hand.
"I know all, even if I don't know about this 'Power Ranger' stuff you mention. Now, let the magic do its work." The Wise Warlock said, firing the rainbow-colored, heart-shaped magic in one direction.
Soon, everything was pitch-black before the environment came back as Sabrina and the Wise Warlock were transparent again. This time, to the shock of Sabrina, they were in the Town Hall.
"Why the Town Hall?" Sabrina asked as she and the Wise Warlock soon noticed Memory Pi sitting on a chair, holding a photo while sobbing.
Sabrina and the Wise Warlock walked over to Memory Pi, where Sabrina saw the content of the photo: it was Pi and his parents at a supernatural museum, taken a couple of years ago.
Sabrina gave Memory Pi a look of sympathy. She may have lost her mom, and her dad may be a jerk recently, but at least she still have her aunts and Quigley to help raise her. Pi lost both of his parent, making him a orphan.
However, Sabrina noticed that there were no sound in this memory.
"Hey, Wise Warlock. Why isn't there any sounds?" Sabrina asked.
"There are times where things play out without sounds," the Wise Warlock said.
However, at that moment, Memory Janice opened a door and walked over to Memory Pi, holding a piece of paper. Memory Janice knelt down to Memory Pi and began talking to him.
While Sabrina wasn't sure what was being said, she was surprised by the fact that Janice is talking to Pi, given the former's hatred towards anything weird. Then again, haven't Janice started becoming reasonable after Aaron accidentally changed her gender and made her younger?
Memory Pi looked up at Memory Janice, seemingly asking a question, to which the latter nodded. The two soon hugged, allowing Sabrina to see the paper, causing her eyes to widen with shock: it was an adoption paper.
"Janice is adopting Pi?" Sabrina asked, surprised. She was so surprised she didn't realize the memory ended until she and the Wise Warlock were once again in Pi's house, no longer transparent.
However, that didn't take away from the fact that she felt like the cure was surely out of her grasp now, given she's starting to run out of options of people without broken hearts. First Chloe and now Pi have broken hearts, and somehow Sabrina didn't know about it.
"Wait, I know!" Sabrina said out loud. "We should head to my house. After all, Quigley never had his heart broken," Sabrina said.
"Well, lead the way then." The Wise Warlock said as the two head towards Sabrina's house.
25 Minutes Later-Spellman's Residence-Everyone's P.O.V.
"Come on, precious. I've taken care of you everyday for 25 long years. Now bloom for daddy. Please?" Quigley asked, talking to his to mythicus hibiscus, waiting for the moment to take a photo.
However, he heard the phone distantly ringing inside the house. "Hilda! Zelda! Telephone!" Quigley called out.
However, nobody heard him, since the phone was still ringing. "I don't care who answers it, somebody just get that phone!" Quigley exclaimed.
However, nobody went to answer it. Grumbling under his breath, Quigley went inside to answer it, hoping to make it a quick call.
While he picked up the phone, the to mythicus hibiscus started to bloom.
"Hello? Yes, this is Quigley. What about my long-distance service?" Quigley asked from behind the door, as the to mythicus hibiscus fully bloomed, its vines all over the porch as pink flowers blossomed.
For some reason, a satyr and two female Greek dancers appeared on the porch to celebrate such an occasion. Anyone passing by would've thought they were drunk or taking drugs. The three soon left, heading towards some other house with a to mythicus hibiscus to confuse some people.
"No, I don't need three eagle knives." Quigley said as the flower soon wilted, having finished its blooming cycle.
"Excuse me...Excuse me, I have to go now! Goodbye!" Quigley ended the call as he went outside, only to see the remains of his plant.
"NOOOOO!" Quigley exclaimed. "I was only gone for a moment. Couldn't you have wait until I gotten back?" Quigley asked, holding part of his plant sadly. The plant wilted some more, answering his question.
Quigley started sobbing. "25 long years, wasted!" Quigley sobbed as he leaned on his camera. To add salt to his wounds, the camera opened up, ejecting the film onto the porch.
"Aw, Quigley," Sabrina said, watching from the ground. "Guess he does have his heart breaks," Sabrina said to the Wise Warlock.
"So far, we're 3 for 3. Let's keep this quest moving," the Wise Warlock said.
"We'll go upstairs. Hilda is up there, and surely she never had her heart broken, besides the occasional boyfriends. But she usually forgets them by having another one," Sabrina said, as she and the Wise Warlock head towards the back porch.
"I should hope so. Speaking of which, is there a restroom upstairs? I knew I should've gone before I left the cave." The Wise Warlock said.
10 Minutes Later-Hilda's Room
Hilda was looking through her closet, trying to look for something. "No. No. Definitely not that," she said, throwing some of her clothes on the floor.
"Where is it?" Hilda asked, frantically searching the closet, unaware of two uninvited guests entering her room quietly.
"Probably a certain dress for a date. Anyways, let's just see her memories so we can prove whether or not she had a broken heart," Sabrina said, grabbing the Wise Warlock's hand.
...Great, now I'm used to this. Sabrina said in her thoughts, horrified by what she's just did.
Either ignoring or oblivious to Sabrina's emotions, the Wise Warlock raised his free palm, holding it in the direction of Hilda. The rainbow-colored, heart-shaped magic was fired from the palm towards Hilda, hitting her heart.
As Hilda rubbed the area, dumbfounded by what she just felt, Sabrina and the Wise Warlock were once more thrusted into a pitch-black setting. Soon, the environment returned.
However, they were in a place that Sabrina doesn't recognize. Sure, she knows it was a church, but she didn't know where the church, or she and the Wise Warlock, were exactly.
However, what surprised her was seeing Hilda and Zelda, not as she remembered them, but as young adults, arguing. Memory Hilda had a look of anger, yet concern, while Memory Zelda had a angry, yet tear-stricken expression.
Sabrina can't hear what they're saying, but she realized something: Memory Zelda was wearing a wedding dress.
"I-Is this the memory of what happened to Madison?" Sabrina asked, horror slowly creeping up on her. She remembered Zelda mentioning what happened.
"Yes," the Wise Warlock said, somberly nodding.
Suddenly a third female walked in between the two sisters, trying to stop them from fighting. Sabrina assumed that was Madison, back when she was alive. Her actions had the exact opposite reaction, though, since Memory Hilda's eyes narrowed before raising a certain body part.
Sabrina realized what Memory Hilda was about to do and close her eyes. However, it didn't block out the rainbow flashing through her eyelids.
Opening her eyes, Sabrina was horrified to see nothing but ashes right where Memory Madison stood. Not only that, but even Memory Hilda had a horrified expression.
Before Memory Hilda could do anything, Memory Zelda seemed to wail before running out of the church, tears running down her eyes.
Memory Hilda reached a hand out in Memory Zelda's direction before lowering it, looking down at the ground. She dropped to her knees, covering her face with her hands as she broke down in tears over what just happened.
The scenery turned pitch-black once more, before returning Sabrina and the Wise Warlock back to Hilda's bedroom.
"I don't know why, but I keep thinking back on that moment, when I destroyed Zelda and my sisterhood," Hilda said out loud, as Sabrina and the Wise Warlock let go of each other's hands.
"Zelda thought I was trying to make her miserable, but I was trying to keep her safe and happy. And yet, it took that moment for me to realize that I've been hurting her," Hilda said.
Suddenly, Sabrina and the Wise Warlock heard someone approaching Hilda's room and jumped under her bed to hide.
"I know I gloated about it, but I didn't felt good about it. I didn't even mean to kill Madison. I was just angry and-Zelda thinks I've never acknowledge the fact that I killed Madison was because I didn't want to admit to doing what she and Zelda did back then, but the true reason why is because I'm scared of what would happen to my sanity if I accept it," Hilda said.
"Oh my gods, Hilda." Zelda said from behind Hilda. Hilda turned around to see Zelda with a ashamed expression on her face.
"I didn't know." Zelda said.
"How could you've known? I kept it from you." Hilda said.
"Yeah, but despite what happened, I'm the one who constantly painted you as the villain for that night, never bothering to see things from your point. I was focused on my own anger, I blinded myself from someone else who was hurting as well," Zelda said.
"Only because I hurt you first." Hilda points out.
"At this point, it doesn't matter who hurt who first. I think it's time for something we should've done years ago and bury the hatchet. For real." Zelda said, opening her arms wide.
Hilda stood there dumbfounded, before her eyes started tearing up. She stumbled into Zelda's arms, quietly sobbing as they hug.
"For once, let it all out. I'm listening this time," Zelda assured, letting some tears trickle down her cheeks.
"Well, that's 5 for 5," the Wise Warlock whispered to Sabrina.
"Yeah." Sabrina said, saddened by what she learned: Hilda's heart was broken for as long as Zelda's, and no one had known.
She was about to give up when she remembered one last option. "Wait, I know someone who might never had his heart broken: Aaron." Sabrina said, as she and the Wise Warlock teleported out from under Hilda's bed towards Aaron's location...wherever that was.
Hilda and Zelda didn't notice, though, since they were busy letting out centuries of suppressed emotions.
15 Minutes Later-Uptown Greendale
Aaron was walking down the street, listening to music. Several times, he gave waves to people he passed by.
"Yep, still weird. After all, no one's angry at me. ...The one thing I wanted for the past six year, the one thing I've finally given up last month, and it came true at a high cost," Aaron muttered.
"Then again, while I was the one who unknowingly started this by using Sabrina's emotions against her to get Alvin, Salem finished it by making it dramatic." Aaron added.
"Hey, Aaron!" Sabrina shouted, causing Aaron to wince in pain from the loudness of the shout.
Aaron took off his headphones to see Sabrina and the Wise Warlock heading over to him.
"Hey, Sabrina. Who's the old guy?" Aaron asked, confused.
"I'm the ancient and revered Wise Warlock of the east. I know all." The Wise Warlock said like it should be obvious by now.
"...Never heard of you," Aaron said bluntly.
"Never mind that. I'm on a quest to find people who never suffered a broken heart. If I find someone who never suffered a broken heart, then I'll get the cure for everyone so they won't be sad anymore," Sabrina said.
"Okay? So, why do you need me?" Aaron asked.
"Well, I figured, well, you seem to never suffered a broken heart before. So you're likely to help me succeed in this quest," Sabrina said.
"...For someone who claims to know me better than I know myself, you clearly forgotten that there are instances where I suffered a broken heart, Sabreeny," Aaron said after a few moments, a frown on his face.
"If you're talking about the town hating you, I thought you accepted that," Sabrina said, confused.
"Yeah, I may have accepted it, but that doesn't mean I was never sad nor upset about it. But that's not the only time I'm talking about." Aaron said.
"If that's not it, then what is?" Sabrina asked.
"Well, there was the whole feeling bad for emotionally manipulating you into getting Alvin thing, and that aftermath. But that's not even the point I'm making. The point I'm getting at is...do you really forgot the one time you laughed at my feelings?" Aaron asked.
"When have I...Oh. Oh!" Sabrina said, remembering.
"Yeah. When we were eight," Aaron confirmed.
Roughly Four Years Ago
Aaron and Sabrina, both were 8 years old, were sitting under a tree, watching the clouds slowly drift across the blue sky.
"Hey, Sabrina." Aaron said.
"Yeah, Aaron?" Sabrina asked, turning her face slightly towards Aaron.
"C-Can I tell you something?" Aaron asked, his face turning red for some reason.
"Um, sure." Sabrina said, raising an eyebrow.
Aaron took a deep breath and let it out. "Ihaveacrushonyou!" he said too quickly.
"What?" Sabrina asked, not having heard what he said.
"I said, I have a crush on you for the past couple years. And I was wondering...maybe if you wanna...we can maybe date in a couple of years?" Aaron asked, face still red.
Sabrina was silent for a moment, before her body started shaking. Not from rage, but from laughter.
"Great joke, Aaron!" Sabrina said, while laughing. "As if that was an option. We're more like brothers and sisters than a couple! Heck, Harvey and I are more likely to become a couple than you and me!"
Aaron looked dejected, yet hid his emotions with a false chuckle. "Yeah, aren't I the comedian?" he asked, as a couple of tears slid down his cheeks.
Present Time
"Why didn't you say anything at the time?" Sabrina asked.
"Because at the time, you were laughing at everything I said, Sabrina." Aaron said. "And besides, would you had listened anyways?"
"No, I wouldn't," Sabrina admitted, looking down at the ground.
Internally, she was upset. So, in the end, there is no one who never suffered a broken heart. Goodbye, cure to broken hearts. Hello, misery. Sabrina lamented.
Aaron sighed as his frown turned into a small smile. "However, I realized something from that day," he said, getting Sabrina's attention.
"That I'm the worst friend ever?" Sabrina asked.
"No. It's the fact that at the time, even if you accepted it, that eventually I would've outgrown my crush on you. You just helped me learned it sooner." Aaron said.
"So I did a good thing?" Sabrina asked.
"Actually, I think you could've handled way better than laughing at me, but then again we were kids. Sometimes smart kids at the time, but still kids who act their own age," Aaron said.
"So, that's a no then?" Sabrina asked.
"I'll be honest with you, Sabrina. Yes, you did a good thing by helping me get over a crush that would be outgrown eventually. But no, laughing at me didn't help.
"Heck, I think that even when I find someone that I want to be in a relationship with, it'll take a long time until I confess my feelings. Mainly out of fear of them rejecting me on the level you did, if not worst." Aaron said.
"Oh. Well, I'm sorry about that," Sabrina said.
"I already forgiven you for that back then. I wanted to tell you this so we can finally get rid of the awkward tension that followed after that day." Aaron said.
"Regardless, you've suffered a broken heart more than once. How are you still able to continue living life the way you do despite that?" Sabrina asked.
"It's not easy most days. Heck, some days are more painful than others. However, with time and the right people to be there when anyone needs a shoulder to cry on, anyone can heal their broken hearts, even with the cracks," Aaron said.
"How do you know all of this?" Sabrina asked.
"Well, I have the best parents and the greatest friends. Including one who's not afraid to stand up for herself every once in a while, to help me out of my worst moments. Even during months of me being a jerk," Aaron said, giving Sabrina a thumbs up.
"Anyways, I'm going to go check up on some stuff. Hopefully, some other city decides not to throw another parade," Aaron said, walking off.
"Well, that was something," said the Wise Warlock.
"Yeah, but this also means I've failed the quest," Sabrina said, looking down at the ground.
Sorry, Greendale. Guess I failed to help you. Sabrina lamented in her thoughts.
"Let's just head back to your cave," Sabrina said, as she and the Wise Warlock teleported back to the Eastern Hemisphere.
A Couple of Hours Later-Wise Warlock's Cave, ?, Eastern Hemisphere
"Oh, my feet. My back." The Wise Warlock complained as he and Sabrina walked over to where Norman was.
Speaking of Norman, he was wearing a red dress and a blonde wig while setting up a recliner for the Wise Warlock.
"If I ever go out questing again, just shoot me," the Wise Warlock said. However, since his recliner was vibrating, it caused his words to shake.
Sabrina sighed. "Well, I failed. I'm sorry. I consider my best options, and none of them have never suffered a broken heart. I get the feeling that even if I had checked everywhere, everyone's hearts would've been broken not just due to what happened recently, but also due to something in their past," Sabrina said.
"Aha!" exclaimed the Wise Warlock.
"'Aha' what?" Sabrina asked.
"Aha! What you'd just said." The Wise Warlock said.
"What? That there's no one who never had a broken heart?" Sabrina asked.
"Aha!" The Wise Warlock nodded.
"Stop that!" Sabrina said, starting to get irritated. She wanted answers, not riddles.
"I'll stop 'Aha'-ing when you start thinking. Work with me, we're almost to the moral here. Heck, we should've already been at the moral already," the Wise Warlock said. "Think, Sabrina."
Sabrina started thinking. "Maybe-Maybe there really is no one who never suffered a broken heart," Sabrina said, slowly realizing what she's saying.
"Because?" The Wise Warlock asked.
"Because everyone goes through something that breaks their hearts at some point in their lives. Like disappointments, or losing someone they love, or even having their feelings rejected," Sabrina said.
"And maybe there's no cure because...because it's not something that science, medicine or even magic can fix." Sabrina added. "Because it's a natural part of life, whether anyone wants it or not."
Suddenly, confetti, party streamers, and balloons dropped down from the ceiling as party whistles went off.
"Norman, show her what she won!" The Wise Warlock said, as Norman brought a big coupon over and handed it to Sabrina.
"Would you look at that! A discount coupon redeemable at any gift shop in this cave! Congratulations, kiddo!" The Wise Warlock said, shaking Sabrina's hand. "You figured it out, and only with a little help! You even learned the lesson much quicker than your Aunt Zelda, and handle it better than her too."
"Wait, how long did it took Zelda to learn it?" Sabrina asked.
"About six months after I gave her the quest, give or take. And she did not take the moral well back then," the Wise Warlock said with a look of brief horror.
"Anyways, thanks. I feel better knowing that I didn't failed the quest, nor am I, and Greendale, the only ones hurt. Though I wish I can get over the emotions I have regarding my mom's death. It's been a month and it still feel fresh." Sabrina said.
"I know, I know. I wish I can make the pain go away, not just for you, but for everyone else in your town as well. But even then, that's beyond anyone's powers.
In the meantime, like your friend said, you should give it time, and have people who can help you through the tough times. I should know, even the Wise Warlock has suffered a heartbreak or two. Or three," the Wise Warlock said, glancing off towards a corner.
Before Sabrina could say anything, the Wise Warlock focused his attention back on her. "But there are other things you can do to help recover from a broken heart besides the two methods.
"Norman!" The Wise Warlock said, as he and Sabrina turned their attentions towards the portion of the cave Norman was standing at, with a board. On the board were the words, 'Best Ways To Get Over Broken Hearts!'
"Get involved in a new project, or set a new goal. Like your great-uncle Quigley did," the Wise Warlock explained. The board suddenly shows Quigley watering a new plant, having gotten over his disappointments with the previous one.
"Or helping someone else who has been disappointed. Cuz helping others helps yourself. It's what your friend Chloe is doing," the Wise Warlock said. True to his words, Chloe was making some jokes at the community center. While it's unknown what jokes she's saying, everyone was laughing.
"Or put things into perspective like Hilda and Zelda. Remember, there are times where some people are worse off than you," the Wise Warlock said. The board shows Hilda and Zelda talking, laughing, and hugging each other.
"Thanks, Wise Warlock. You're really a wise...guy," Sabrina lamely said, giving two thumbs up.
"The wisest. And don't forget to referred people to me around town. Just a few complaints and problems can rack up your frequent flyer miles," the Wise Warlock said, handing Sabrina the same card Zelda showed her earlier.
"Thank you," Sabrina said, accepting the card.
Now I get to plan a free vacation. Sabrina said in her thoughts with glee.
Sabrina and the Wise Warlock walked over to the latter's gift shop. "How about a tote bag?" asked the Wise Warlock, handing a tote bag to Sabrina. It had a bold green 'i Got Over It!'
"The color screams you. And remember the Wise Warlock's wisest words: it alway pays to shop in volume!" The Wise Warlock exclaims.
Tuesday-Greendale Junior High
"Well, Pi. Congratulations on your new family," Chloe said.
"Thanks." Pi said softly.
"At least you have a new brother and a new mom, who used to be a guy until something weird happened, but let's not worry about that mental gymnastic. As long as you're happy, we're okay with it," Aaron said.
"Hey, guys," Sabrina said, walking towards the three.
"Hey, Sabrina. Got what you were looking for?" Aaron asked, being vague due to Chloe and Pi's unawareness to Sabrina's quest.
"Kinda. It's the stuff you told me yesterday, Aaron." Sabrina said.
"Huh." Aaron said.
"What stuff?" Chloe asked.
"Nevermind that. How about the four of us hang out after school? Probably go to the arcade or the malt shop?" Sabrina asked.
"Sabrina, you seem to be a bit..." Chloe trailed off, trying to find the right words.
"Optimistic?" Pi supplied.
"Exactly!" Chloe said.
"Well, after everything that happened, I tried to put everything into perspective, and then," Sabrina said, holding up the tote bag she bought from the Wise Warlock's gift shop.
"'I got over it'," Aaron, Chloe and Pi read the words on the bag.
"Cool bag! Where did you get it?" Chloe asked.
"Like it? I know someone who will sell you as many as you want," Sabrina said.
"Hey, maybe we should get one for everyone in Greendale. Then they'll become as happy as you are, Sabrina." Pi said.
"After putting stuff into perspective first," Aaron said, as the four friends walked down the hallway, smiling, genuinely, for the first time in days.
(A/N: As stated, the rest of the story is the road of recovery from Harvzilla. It's a long road that will be full of bumps and curves, but like this chapter states, only time and proper support will help with the recovery.
Surprisingly, despite changing some parts of the episode(i.e. Sabrina's reason for going to the Wise Warlock, cutting out Harvey and Gem's heartbreaks while replacing them with Chloe and Pi's, changing Hilda's heartbreak and cutting out everything that has to do with Salem), I actually enjoyed this episode for how well it handle the morals and how broken hearts are a part of life. Heck, I actually like how broken hearts can't be cured with magic, proving that magic can't fix everything.
Anyways, hope you enjoyed the chapter and its moral. And for those who recently suffered a broken heart, it'll get better with time, support, and taking your mind off it by doing stuff you like, or even try something new.)
