The Gentle Evil of the Big Apple
Staring out the window of a large city with a large body of water from below as well and looking to the left is none other than the giant green statue of Lady Liberty herself in all of her glory.
"I wonder if you could really see how the world is right now, Lady Liberty. Would you be disappointed?" The large figure man asked.
"That's a tough call, but I guess it's best to leave that way." The large figure man said as he turns around and walk to his office.
"I'll need to be focus on my mission when the Wukong boy comes for me." The large figure man said as he looks down at his desk and pick up a stack of paper that has the Wukong family symbol on the bottom corner of the page.
"He seeks revenge for what he did to his father, but I wonder why he never killed them in the first place." The large figure man asked the big question before placing the papers down.
"Guess I will know for sure… Once we fight." The large figure said walked away from his desk.
(With the Wukong Gang)
"New York City! Here we come!" Hazuki shouted of excitement.
"Easy girl, we wouldn't want the entire world know where we're going." Sun chuckled.
"Sorry." Hazuki apologized blushing.
"It's been a while since we visited America, last time we came to Texas for that diamond cow heist." Yayoi mentioned as the gang remember that heist.
Sun: Yayoi's right, it has been a while since we came to America and this time, we're going to visit one of the greatest cities of the country, New York City. That where we're gonna find the fourth member of the Sacred Darkness Five. Hazel Rainart
Sun looks down at the photo in the police case file about Hazel and what he looks like.
Hazel is a tall and muscular middle-aged man. He is also unusually large and broad, about 8-feet-tall. He has short dark brown hair, a beard and hazel eyes. He wears a two-tone olive-green coat over a black 3/4 sleeve shirt, and a large belt. His pants were black, with a pouch strapped to each pants leg, and his boots are brown with white fronts. Some of his scars near the edges of his sleeves are visible.
Just looking at this guy makes me feel scared from that dark gaze stare, but you wouldn't think he was always this scary in his past.
One photo shows Hazel standing next was a young woman who almost looks like Hazel who with more female appearance and a little shorter than Hazel, and this woman was wearing a police uniform with the hat on her chest as they smile together.
He had a young twin sister named Gretchen who was a policewoman and started out as a cadet in the force, the files said that Hazel was seriously against his sister joining the force believing it was too dangerous. But Gretchen able to convince and past the exams, but her time was short-lived.
The second picture shows Hazel standing in front of a coffin with flowers and the picture of Gretchen while a few police officers were present paying their respects for the woman, but Hazel's fist looks to be clutching hard in rage.
Gretchen had only been in the police force for three months until during a bank robbery incident that she got shot from one of the robbers with a gun. Hazel became angry at not just the robbers, but at the police officers he blames for letting her die when he claims that she wasn't ready.
Third photo reveals that Hazel is holding up a beat-up old man covered in bruises and blood along with a very scary look in his eyes, along with few other police officers on the police.
Hazel killed the police chief who gave his sister the offer to become a policewoman believing it was his fault the most, and he came public enemy number one as an assassin claiming to carry out his own sense of justice to kill anyone who doesn't believe they deserve to live. Guess in a way that he and I are similar, except for the whole killing people thing.
The fourth picture show Hazel throwing a strong punch to one guy while having two knives on his back, but it looks like he doesn't feel any pain at all while fighting off against the guy in a white suit. He even had a knife stabbed on the side of his body deep.
Hazel has the unnatural pain tolerance that he doesn't feel anything even when being stabbed in the back by knives or bullets shooting at him, he'd tank the hits and beat the living shit out of anyone who grosses his path. Guess that must how he was recruited to be a tankman for the team.
Sun looks outside the window seeing the Lady Liberty knowing he and his team are arriving at the location very soon.
The last known location about the guy is that he is somewhere in New York city close to the Statue of Lady Liberty at a nightclub, Oscar was able to find the guy though I'm little worried because the files also said he is crazy strong with those huge muscles that easily break a person in half. Let's hope I don't end up being two.
The Wukong van arrives at the nightclub with the sign says, "Sweet Witch Home" and four heavily muscle guards are standing at the entrance and the building itself is four stories high.
Hazuki careful park the van within an almost empty parking lot just across the street from the nightclub and she quickly covers the symbol with a large sheet so that no one would notice.
"That place sure doesn't scream "Evil man inside" and have a good time." Mei mocked.
"Don't sound so cocky, Mei. Hazel is known to be the second strongest member of the Sacred Darkness Five, fighting on without feeling pain is going to be very hard to take him down." Oscar pointed out.
"That may sound like a problem, but that no pain feeling thing can also be his biggest weakness if you can land some heavy hits just enough to render him useless." Yayoi believed.
"Only if you don't get hit by his arms." Hazuki warned as well.
"Don't worry, we dealt with heavy hitters before, and Hazel is going to fall hard too." Sun believed with a smirk.
"Except this heavy hitter don't feel pain and he'll get back up if you knock him down." Oscar reminded his older adopted brother on that.
"Aw, you worry too much." Sun chuckled before he and Mei jumps out of the van.
"It seems like the only way you can get inside is to cross over those powerlines to the other side and you will find the vent, my scanner tells me you'll end up in one of the staff rooms." Oscar informed as they look at up the power line.
"We'll be there on the tips of our toes." Mei commented.
"Glad to hear because you're gonna need some balance for that." Oscar nodded.
Sun and Mei climb up the power pole all the way to the top and seeing the power lines connected to the roof of the nightclub, they look at each other giving each a nod before Sun went in first and Mei became after closely behind her master carefully making their way across.
"This is reminding me of the time we went to that circus four years ago." Sun recalled that time.
"You wanted to be the trapeze believing to be every thief's dream." Mei giggled.
"Hey, I would have made a great trapeze artist. I could've been the "Laughing Gold Monkey" like my ancestor Paul Wukong." Sun stated.
"Of course, but thieving will always come first for you as a Wukong." Mei stated.
"You got that right, have to live up to the family's name for as long as I have breath in my body." Sun said proudly.
Sun then had an idea to save them some time by using the high walk speed technique as he grabs Mei to pull her onto his back, and then perform the move almost instantly making their way to the other side.
"What the…?" A guard gasped of seeing someone on the roof which shocks the two.
"Are you two scouts selling cookies?" The guard asked dumbly.
"How did you think scouts would do something like that?!" Mei and Sun gasped.
"Well, you seem to live the cookie type of guy." Sun smirked.
"Oh yeah, I love all kinds of cookies even the gross ones!" The guard nodded excitingly.
"Well then…" Sun performed the fast sidestep technique to appear right next to the guard.
"Have some over there!" Sun smacked his staff right on the guard's head slamming him into the vent forcing it to open for the two thieves.
"That was either the craziest thing that ever happened or he was the stupidest guard in the world." Sun commented.
"I think it may have been both." Mei believed.
"Well, let's hope the other guards are dumb for scout cookies like he is." Sun said before allowing Mei to go into the vent first and he soon follows her.
The two crawls through the vent following the directions their Brain boy guiding them until they reach one exit hole, they stop though with Sun "accidentally" bumping his face onto her butt making her gasp in surprise.
"Master, let's try to be focus." Mei giggled.
"Sorry." Sun chuckled.
Mei and Sun jumped down from the vent finding themselves in what appears to be some sort of break room, and it's empty too which is a good thing for them too.
"Come on, let see what this place has to offer." Sun whispered as he slowly opens the door.
Sun and Mei sneak their way through the hallway trying to see if they can find the main office where Hazel should be at, but they saw a guard coming in and they quickly enter the nearest room to avoid being spotted.
"Master, look." Mei patted his shoulder to make him look inside the room.
Sun turns around becoming a little shock to see lots of picture of people's faces on the wall with red Xs cross on each of them, there are a dozen of them without the red X on them on the other wall.
"This must be his list of people he killed over the years." Sun guessed.
"Most of them might be people who'd the Sacred Darkness Five wants them to get out of the way for their crimes, and the others might be some he believes are using the system for their corrupted ways to get away with anything." Mei looked around.
"Damn, I'm not really sure how I should feel about Hazel right now." Sun scratched the back of his head.
"Perhaps you'll find the answer once we meet him face-to-face." Mei said.
"Yeah, you're probably right." Sun nodded.
"Let see if this room has any interesting things for us to take." Sun smirked as they start looking around.
The two thieves look around the room finding a few good items such as a pure golden police badge with an actual feather of a bald eagle, a ruby necklace, but of course, there are traps like spears popping out of the wall.
Sun dodges them while trying to find a way to turn them off until he spotted a small switch the top corner on the left wall, he threw his staff at the switch turning off the trap.
He sighs in relief and found a small piece of paper with strange little pictures on a table.
"These pictures feels like they're for a safe." Sun said feeling his Wukong instincts acting up.
Mei looks closely at one of the crossed pictures noticing something odd with one of them or maybe four of them as she took down the four pictures showing a spot of an ordinary wall, but she notices something else at the corner scratching it with her finger until the wall peel off.
"Well, what do you know?" Mei smiled.
Mei pulls the sheet off the wall revealing a hidden safe.
"Found the safe." Mei informed her Master.
"And I just decoded the paper. Clever of Hazel to use Egyptian hieroglyphs as numbers for the code of the safe." Oscar smiled.
"Bet he didn't count on our brain to figure them out quickly." Sun chuckled.
"Reading them is child's play. Punch in 1080." Oscar informed Sun of the numbers to open the safe.
Sun enters the number and the safe opens revealing a stack of paper as he pulls it out and they look at it carefully.
"This one is about Babi Wukong from the ancient Egyptian time, he created a jump gliding technique while riding the harsh winds in the desert." Sun interested then left a calling card in the safe.
Sun and Mei exit the room to see if they can try finding Hazel's office until they came across a wall that seems like a memorial of Gretchen in her police uniform saluting while there are things, she loves around her like a police badge and some sweets.
"Even a bad guy like him have something they wishes to hold on to." Sun sighed.
"I heard she did a really good job despite being a rookie at the time, she never wavers to evil and always doing her best to get the job done. She quickly earned her way to doing serious police work much sooner than others." Mei mentioned about Gretchen.
"And that's your way in." Oscar said.
"What?" Sun confused.
"My scanners are detecting an electric lock coming from within that wall, that's got to be where Hazel's office is." Oscar revealed.
"Now that's just wrong! What kind of brother would use the good face of his own sister to hide his crimes?" Sun shocked, not liking this guy again.
"It's disturbing, I know. But maybe Hazel just thought of some memories that she always had his Hazel whenever he's in trouble and he would do the same as how most siblings are." Oscar believed that might be the case.
"Just like how you two." Hazuki said.
"Okay, so we found where the office is." Sun nodded.
"But we'll need to find a way in. The door must be well hidden behind the memorial." Mei theorized.
"And the lock can only be open if you find a special security ID in order to get in." Oscar nodded.
"One of the security guards must hold the ID." Mei guessed.
"Guess it's Security ID hunting season." Sun joked a little.
The two thieves went sneaking through the hallway as they found one guard, quickly taking him out though were disappointed that he didn't have the ID with him.
Sun and Mei enter another room that leads to outside connecting to another building next door as they look up seeing one guard station there, believing he could have the ID and slowly sneaks up the guard as Sun was about to smack him on the head.
But suddenly the guard was knocked down by a small fire blast that came out of nowhere.
"Talk about stealing the moment with a burn." Sun punned surprise.
"And there's more burn where that came from." Yang yelled as she and Blake reveal themselves.
"Looks like you two are getting better at finding us quicker." Mei complimented.
"It was easy to figure out you'd be going after Hazel; it was a matter of finding you." Blake said.
"Before we get on with the chase, don't you two think it's about you open your eyes to the bigger picture?" Mei asked.
"What do you mean?" Blake asked.
"You know what I'm talking about. The three Sacred Darkness Five members we've dealt with, the criminal things they did and how we brought them down to end their criminal ways. The Wukong thief is not the bad guy, he helps others too." Mei pointed out.
"And yet he keeps breaking the law like it's no big deal." Yang glared at Sun who winks at her.
"Because I do things no law can do like trying to lock away the scumbags who done worst things like murder, something that you two haven't been doing even with the case file you had." Sun said.
"It's not that simple, it takes time to fully prove their guilt and have the means to arrests them." Blake said.
"Maybe so, but now you're at Hazel's hideout and he's clearly been up to no good." Sun said before letting out a sigh.
"Sorry, but we have a giant muscle assassin to find." Sun twirled his staff around and Mei got into her fighting stance.
Yang and Blake look at each other feeling a bit hesitate for a second there until they ready themselves for a fight.
