When we woke up the next day, showered, ate breakfast and left.
Ianah took us to a salon and spa, she frequently went to.
She was greeted by a short black haired woman who looked to be about the same age as her.
They exchanged pleasantries, before turning toward us. "Rhea, this is Iris, Thalia, and Amaris. They're here visiting and want to freshen up, maybe get a few things changed." Ianah said, gesturing towards us as she introduced us, before they led us towards the back.
Rhea told us all to sit in the white, leather swivel chairs as three women walked into the room.
"Ladies, these are Iris, Thalia, and Amaris. You know what to do." Rhea said as she led Ianah to another room.
A few hours later I found myself staring at a complete stranger.
My once chocolate brown hair was now a honey golden blonde balayage. My hazel contacts were no longer there, now it was the same blue green hue my mother used to have.
I looked like her.
A stray tear fell from the corner of my eye as I got up from the seat.
Swiftly reached up to wipe the tears as I met with the girls.
"Es, Sul, Lottie, Theni, Carmen and Did are here." Rose whispered.
I nodded before turning away, "Let's tell Ianah." I told them as we made our way out of the room.
The girls arrived shortly after we found Ianah.
She was waiting for us in a room with a long table. "Ladies, I'd like a word with you." She gestured for us to sit down.
Until now I hadn't noticed what changes Rose and Alice had undergone.
Alice's once midnight black, waist length hair was now hanging to her mid back, and was a mahogany brown.
Rose's golden blonde locks were now a dark chocolate brown.
Both removed their contacts, and stared ahead like I did.
Two Weeks Later:
Exactly two weeks later, we were ready to pull off the heist.
Once everyone was in place, except Alice, Rose and I. We chose to go through the plan once more, before heading inside.
Ianah had made sure we had everything we would need to pull this off.
Es would be sneaking in as one of the kitchen staff, Sul would be with the waiting staff, and Did would be making her way in with the security team.
I would be setting up a distraction, while Rose would be on the lookout.
Alice needed to get the paintings, and replace them with the imitation.
We had exactly forty-five minutes before someone noticed we were missing.
Meaning we only had a small window to get in and get out. The plan went to shit when Ianah pulled me aside to do another job.
Get the Odysseus' Ruby.
I was shocked at her when she told me. But who was I to say no. It was the job that may end all jobs, me and the girls may finally be able to leave this life behind us. Maybe settle down to live a quiet life, pop out a few kids.
Two hundred and fifty million.
If I managed to get this done, I would be able to walk away. We all would.
Ianah provided me with the details, and a fake ruby to switch it with. Everything I needed, before making my way through the museum, pretending to be interested in the art before walking away.
As Alice made her way towards the painting, Did pulled a stunt out of her ass, and closed that part of the museum off while the 'technical' problems were fixed.
Rose stood off to the side while I quickly made my way into the bathroom to change out of the dress.
I slid on my tactical suit, zipping it up before I placed the earpiece in my ear, and pulled the hood over my face.
The ruby would be transported out of the museum, within an hour. That meant I had to act fast.
Silently slipping out of the museum, I made my way down to the place, where I knew most of the museum's prized artifacts had been stored.
It seemed the museum had taken extra precautions by making a lower level to store them.
Shit. This is what happens when you try to pull a half ass job.
Ianah had made a mistake by only handing me the museum's layout instead of showing me the lower room's floor plan.
I didn't have enough time to plan. I was already dreading it.
No planning leads to dangerous situations.
Dangerous situations lead to exposure.
Exposure leads to death or worse, but now wasn't the time to regret it. It was time to focus.
I carefully stood at the door way making sure there were no motion sensors, there weren't.
Upon another look I noticed the lack of security.
It appeared that this room had a few boobietraps. Mainly gas bombs, and tear gas, while being secured by mere security cameras, and a few men.
I've had worse.
With another glance I located the Ruby.
It was surrounded by tempered glass.
Great. Just what I needed.
I slowly made my way through the room, rolling my eyes at the men.
Glancing around the room isn't very sufficient.
As I finally got to where the Ruby was stored, I checked through my tools smirking, as I pulled out the glass cutting tool, before getting to work.
It took a few seconds to make a large enough hole and to slip the massive ruby out and into my bag. Immediately replacing it with the fake ruby along with the glass.
To an untrained eye, the fake replica looked real. But to someone like me, you could tell it was fake, almost immediately.
I smirked as I stepped away only to stiffen.
Eight men surrounded me immediately.
"Hello, boys." I said, smirking at them.
"Drop the ruby, and you won't get hurt." One of them told me.
"I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm simply here to take in the sights." I replied, placing my hands behind my back and rocking back and forth on the balls of my feet.
"Cut the crap, Sparrow, we know it's you." Another man said.
A smile pulled at my lips as I heard the name I had come to know very well.
"Who is this Sparrow you speak of? My name is Amaris Galanis." I replied innocently.
One of the men grew tired of speaking and pulled his gun out, pointing it at me. "Leander! Put the gun away! She is a woman!" Another man said.
"That is no woman. That thing is a danger. We must get rid of her." Leander said.
His words. Those words I heard before.
But that meant… Shit! Yiannis.
These weren't security guards, these were Yiannis men.
Fucking hell, just what I needed.
I placed a cocky smirk on my face as I tilted my head. "You're one of Yiannis' men, correct?" I inquired.
The responding smirk told me everything.
"Fucker never could take no for an answer." I mumbled, shaking my head at him and rolling my eyes before turning to give him my attention.
"Alright, then. Let's get this over with." I said in a bored tone.
The first guy dives at me in a pussy like fashion and misses me. I snap my fist back and hit him in the place I know will knock him out.
Two guys attacked me from both sides causing me to jump up, grab a large pile and use my legs to hit both of them, knocking them out immediately.
Another two try to do the same. I smirk as I kick one of them in the stomach, before punching the other in the jaw.
I shake my head, and scoff. "Pussy." I scoff.
One of the men in the group used my distraction to grab me from behind.
"You smell good…" he whispered, causing me to flinch, as he lifted me off my feet.
I scrunch my nose in disgust before snapping my head back to hit him in the face. His grip on me loosened as I did.
When he yelped out in pain I used the opportunity to get out of his grasp before turning and kicking him.
Another tries to do the same and this time I take him down without hesitation.
The last man smirks standing off to the side.
The moment he sees me l, he pulls out a gun, but it's too late, I'm already running towards him.
I use my momentum to jump up, and onto his shoulders, wrapping my legs securely before using my hands to snap his neck.
I reached up to catch myself as his body fell limp.
Then I pulled out my gun, which had a silencer at the tip and shot them all in the head before moving to grab the bag that flew with the ruby.
As I bent to pick it up, my hood fell from my head. Then I remembered the cameras.
Without hesitation I shot at all four, before anyone could realize what was happening.
I walked out of the back of the museum, and got into the black van, smirking as we pulled away.
Author's Note:
The girls always wanted to have a normal life. But when involved in something like this, do you think they can walk away without scars? Could you?
