The air in the tent felt thick with tension. The three adults sat around Chris who was sitting on his rack. He looked in front of him, in an expressionless way. He seemed completely under hypnosis and they were ready to start.

Sidney turned to Frans.

"Before we start, you need to be completely sure about Hawkeye adopting Chris. You can't change your mind after this.

Because this trauma is like a badly closed, barely healed wound, and I need to open that wound again so it could heal the right way. That means he will be reliving this very traumatic event all over again and he will need a parent to help him through the pain and grief. "

Frans looked grim for a moment but nodded

"My grandmother told me she would accept my judgment over you. And I'm sure. I see real compassion when you handle Chris, I see that you care. You're gentle with him as well, but not all the time, so I'm happy about that as well. A child needs discipline as well as understanding. I saw you do both today, and I'm sure Chris is safe and as happy as he could be at this moment with you. So yes I approve. "

Hawkeye felt so relieved and got a huge grin! Knowing that he had finally become Chris's father after all this time.

It was almost as if his life had been leading up to this.

Now Chris would stay with him, well in the states that is.

He still needs to get to safety. Even though Hawkeye would miss Chris terribly when he would be in the states with his new grandfather, he needed to be safe.

"Thank you, this will make Chris happy as well as me, thank you again! Your support means more than a thousand words can tell!" Hawkeye said sincerely.

" I'm so hugging you after this!"

"You won't have time, I'm sorry. We need to do this now."

Sidney asked gently. He couldn't keep Chris like this waiting for long.

"Yes, I'm ready, " Hawkeye said and Frans gave a nod.

Sidney folded his hands and looked at Chris, who looked back with no expression.

"When was the last time you saw your parents?"

he asked bluntly. He watched as the boy shifted uncomfortably.

« A long time ago, I don't know. » It was barely a whisper but he spoke. Frans translated what Chris said immediately and clearly. Q

Chris seemed deep in thought.

His voice sounded rough and a bit squeaky, probably because of lack of use. Still, he sounded like an angel to Hawkeye and he couldn't wait to hear Chris talk to him after this, then they could finally have conversations.

Chris always listened but now he could communicate with his kid. Yes! His kid! He loved that. He was Dad, and it filled him with pride.

But first, they needed to do this, even though Hawkeye hated that they had to. He hoped he didn't blow a fuse! He needed to stay strong for Chris. This was not going to be fun.

"Can you describe to me what happened the last time you saw your parents?"

«I-I was doing school work outside of the bus.» He answered a bit hesitating like he tried to remember. It took a couple of seconds.

« Mom wanted to film a snake. So we stopped the bus at the snake location, I guess. I- I'm not sure, but we got the cameras out to start filming. »

At Hawkeye's confused expression Frans started to explain.

" His mother was a documentary hostess about wild animals, with Chris his father as the cameraman. They had two other crew members with them when they disappeared. A technician and an administration guy. They are also presumed dead."

"We can talk about that later! " Sidney interrupted.

That could wait, he gave the two men a look before turning toward Chris and continued.

"What happened that day? Can you explain it"

Chris needed to think about that, the moment it clicked in his head, his eyes filled with tears and his lower lip trembled and he spoke softly. His voice was steady now but still high and a bit squeaky.

«There was a loud bang! I heard some people yelling things but it sounded weird, didn't even sound like words! I couldn't understand!»

Chris's whole body started to tremble as he remembered what happened, his heart was thumping against his chest so hard that it made him feel sick. He spoke a bit louder this time.

«I saw someone fall on his face! I couldn't see who it was, he was bleeding a lot, and stopped moving.» Chris got a very scared expression.

«Dad ran to them! No! Dad!»

Chris leaped up two times like he heard gunshots. Looking wildly around him, like he was seeing things the rest of them couldn't. He looked like he wanted to run.

"Please stay seated." Sidney said calm but firm. Chris sat down again.

"Thank you, Angel, you are doing great. What happened after your dad ran to those people?"

His eyes widened and he let out a quiet sob.

Chris looked shocked for a moment before he just started screaming! " Laat hem Los! Neee, papa! "

Hawkeye never heard Chris scream, The scream shot through him. His son needed him! He couldn't do anything as Chris cried in pain, he knew Chris was going to be fine but still, Hawkeye felt useless.

It startled the others as well because Frans's glass fell to the floor. "Sorry" he quickly added before he picked the glass up. He gave a slightly embarrassed smile to the other two men.

He quickly translated the previous statement from Chris, with a heavy sigh.

« Let go of him! No, Daddy! »

Chris was startled, again like he heard a gunshot that they couldn't. He looked around with a look of pure horror.

« Papa? Pap? Are you okay? No? dad? Dad! Are you okay! W-What's wrong with your f-f-face? » His tone was heartbreaking and pleading.

He whimpered, tears streaming down his cheeks. He looked like someone who had just realized that they had lost everything.

Hawkeye feared for Chris his rapid heartbeat. He could almost hear it from here, it went crazy.

"Can you describe what you are doing now?" Sidney tried.

Chris touched the left side of his face, with trembling hands. Tears were running freely. The look of terror on the small child's face would be something Hawkeye will never forget.

« Please be okay! Please wake up p-p-papa! I'm v-very s-s-scared! You always help me when I'm scared!.. Papa, please! I need you... Please wake up! »

Chris didn't seem to hear Sidney at all. He was sobbing hysterically and moving with his hands like he was trying to shake someone awake. The fear in Chris's voice filled the tent, making it almost too heavy to breathe.

« You can't be gone! » Chris mumbled softly, eyes full of disbelief.

Hawkeye's heart felt like it broke into a million pieces.

Chris looked so young, so sad, and so broken. All he wanted to do was hug him so tight that he would never doubt that he was safe, loved, and protected.

Hawkeye felt devastated about not being able to console Chris after hearing the desperate pleading of his son. His child was in pain and needed his dad's comfort right now, but there was nothing he could do. Nothing at all!

He knew the whole unit could hear these screams, they wouldn't know what Chris said.

Frans translated most of it, at normal volume, clear but monotone. So at least the camp didn't know what happened exactly but they couldn't control Chris his screams and cries.

« Mama! What's happening? Why are they doing this, what's wrong with Dad? No. We can't leave! What about dad? »

Chris still moved frantically with his hands, but he looked up and seemed to be talking to his mother.

"What's happening now?" Sidney asked Chris, he spoke a bit clearer, hoping it would help get through to him.

« We start running away! Mom and I, there's nobody else left.» Chris sobbed, he looked so young and small like this.

« They start yelling and shooting. » Chris seemed shocked before the anguish took over his face.

"What happened?"

« We fell, why did we fall? Ooh, Mom fell on me. Mom, get up! There's blood, don't s-s-stop m-moving! P-please wake up! Mama, you're heavy! I can't get up! Mom, it's slippery! »

Chris's big wide eyes had a very painful expression.

"What did you do?" Sidney's voice sounded calm, Hawkeye couldn't figure out how he did that. If he would have to talk right now it would sound near-hysterical.

Hawkeye didn't know how much more of this he could take, this was horrid! He will never get this out of his nightmares! He'll need therapy himself after this!

« They grabbed and hit me! I d-don't know why! But it hurts a lot,» The young boy raised his hand, feeling around between his blond hair.

Hawkeye knew there was a healed-up fracture around there. He felt sick before it turned into hatred! If he got his hands on those people!

« My eyes stopped working because things got very blurry but I was still awake. »

Chris's sobbing got a bit softer. He seemed exhausted and his breathing was shaky. He wiped his nose on the back of his hand and then sat up a bit straighter.

« It felt weird, fascinating really! Colors we're all wrong! There's so much light...it hurts my eyes... »

Of course, he would find that fascinating, Chris finds everything intriguing even when he's hurt apparently, Hawkeye thought.

He felt like he was living through this trauma with Chris. Of course, that wasn't what Chris felt at the moment, but he will! After he gets out of this hypnosis, Hawkeye would let him know that he would be there for him always. He will protect him!

Sidney cleared his throat to get the boy's attention and said with a gentle voice.

"Okay Angel, you're starting to feel relaxed again, clear your mind of that memory for a second. But you will remember it."

When he saw Chris's face get neutral, he sat back and turned towards the other man in the tent. They both looked like they could throw up any second.

"You guys okay?" Sidney asked

"N-no I'm not!" Frans said tearfully. " I mean knowing Linda and Harold got shot and killed is one thing, but hearing it like this from my little nephew is horrid, and I need to repeat it. It's just. It's.."

Sidney put his hand on the man's shoulder. "I know it's hard but Chris needs this, and we are not done yet. He is calm at the moment because we will do one memory at a time, but after this, he will remember everything."

Frans put his hand on his face. Trying to hide the fact he was trying hard not to cry. He was quickly trying to compose himself.

Hawkeye got up and fixed drinks for everyone. It gave him something to do. He felt the same way as Frans, this was horrid. He felt sick, he hated that this happened to the boy he cared so much for. He also needs time to grieve his parents. Hawkeye will ask for some pictures to give to Chris, he needed something of them to remember them by.

He felt for those people, and he didn't even know them.

Chris's mother even tried to run away with her son, and that she tried, meant everything. He knew now that Chris was very loved by them before they passed, which gave him some relief.

He knows he needs a lot of patience with Chris in the future, especially when he needs to learn how to deal with his emotions. Which were going to be a lot worse now, with nothing blocking them.

He handed Frans his drink, he didn't say anything, he didn't know what to say. The poor teen looked simply depleted. He slapped Frans's shoulder in a friendly manner and sat down again on his rack. He slammed his drink down his throat the moment he sat down.

Sidney looked at him but remained silent. They were all dealing differently with this.

They took a moment to drink and compose themselves.

Frans had himself under control and wrote down that the couple and crewmembers got shot and Chris got kidnapped. The bare basics of the story.

"Ready?" Sidney asked, they needed to do this as fast as possible. Chris will need time to recover.

The other two men nodded.

"What is the first thing you remember after that happened "

Chris trembled and got red teary eyes again, but he spoke softly.

« The bus! I wake up on the bus, some stuff is smashed. I started crying and the man got very mad. »

Chris looked very upset, the confusion about why it happened showed on his face.

« My head hurts! Breathing hurts. I got really tired. I had to be silent, but I threw up and got them mad again, after that, I fell asleep. »

Chris looked like he could sleep for days, he stopped crying but he had red puffy eyes, and the rest of his face was almost completely white. He looked drained of any energy he had.

Hawkeye let out an angry huff but Sidney silenced him by holding up his hand before he could get into a raging speech.

Sidney looked at him with a serious expression.

" I think this is the reason he doesn't talk, they made sure he stayed quiet. He will have a lot of difficulties with speaking, we will need to work on that. Make sure he gives answers when people talk to him and let him speak for himself, "

"Done! I try to do that already, but without speaking. I got him to tap people to let them know he needed something, I will add speaking to it. He needs to learn to think and speak for himself."

Hawkeye replied.

"Smart" Frans added " to make him interact with people"

"You spend a long time with those people, don't you?" Sidney started again, they didn't have time, and he needed to make sure they kept moving forwards. So he interrupted them before they could start whatever they wanted to get into.

Chris sighed a ragged breath and nodded.

"Are there events, during your time there, which were worse than usual?"

Chris looked at nothing in particular, he was expressionless again. But he started speaking softly.

« A man yelled at me, but I d-d-didn't understand. I didn't mean for them to get mad. They always got mad! »

He said softly, he got very pale and the terrified wildlife look popped up in his eyes. He was more stoic and silent than when they started with this.

Hawkeye couldn't believe people would do that to a child, it made his blood boil!

" Let's skip most of the details of Chris and his kidnappers. He will remember everything that happened so he could tell it himself later if he needs to." Sidney said, looking very tired as well.

Frans quickly agreed, and Hawkeye was also glad, this was very draining, and his emotions were in an uproar.

" When did you meet the ladies you were with? "

Chris just shrugged, he had barely stopped crying and looked scared and confused at the moment. But he didn't look as terrified as earlier. So Hawkeye thought that was a good sign, he was terrified to know what happened to Chris over there.

"What did you do there?" Chris didn't need to think about that, he seemed to recall clearly. That must mean the ladies were nicer than that group, Hawkeye hoped.

« They showed me how to work, and they showed me English. They were okay, and I listened better to them because they got less angry with me. »

He told the men eagerly, he seemed happy about it.

"What kind of work did you do?" Sidney was almost too afraid to ask. But he needed to know and if he analyzed the faces of the other men, he knew, they needed to know as well.

« They showed me to clean, cook and learn English »

Hawkeye felt immensely relieved. When he found out that Chris was bought from a brothel he feared the worst. Especially after hearing what Mr. Lee said about it. Human trafficking would be a motive for the gang to keep Chris, they just got him out on time he thought.

"Well that's a relief." Frans said with a heavy sigh.

"I agree! There's still a lot we don't know, but I believe we got the main reason for his blocked memory. The talking is a different issue, and we covered that as well. Is there anything else you guys need to ask him?"

The adults looked around at each other. Hawkeye couldn't think of anything, Chris had problems with talking, sudden touch, strange people, and loud sounds, especially in combination with each other. But they know the origin of each of these problems now.

"I got nothing, " Hawkeye said, " But I'm also too tired to think clearly, I think we covered everything we needed to know."

He looked at Frans, who also looked dead on his feet. Hawkeye almost felt guilty for dragging him in for this, but they were the ones who insisted that it was better if it was the family who translated. Hawkeye had to respect that, they wanted the best for Chris. He was glad Chris was loved by his old and his new family.

" I'm good! well not good, but I got no more questions." Frans said, slumped in his chair.

Sidney nodded "I will get him out now, Hawkeye you need to be ready, I don't know exactly how he will react, everybody is different with that. But he should be really upset. If he isn't reacting to it, then we may have a problem. But let's cross that bridge when we get there.

Are you guys ready?"

"Wait, there will be a chance nothing changed?" Hawkeye asked, confused.

" There's always the possibility that we were too late, and his mind stays stuck. But Chris is young, strong, and very smart, he got a very good chance. He will be fighting for this." Sidney said he didn't want to wonder about the what-ifs. They could just find out. If they were too late, there's nothing they could do about it.

"It's been two years since his parents were killed, and he spend more than a year with those horrible people. His suppression could be permanent, but even after years, he has a good chance to recover. But we need to find out first. "

Sidney looked at the men around him.

"I'm ready, " Hawkeye said. He took a seat next to Chris and sat down.

Frans nodded

Sidney turned to Chris. "You will listen carefully, I want you to remember everything that happened, everything between your parents getting killed and finding the 4077th. It's okay to remember, you must remember. Do you understand me?"

Chris nodded slowly, still completely under hypnosis.

"I will count back from three to one, when I get to one, you will wake from your trance. You will remember everything. "

Chris did not indicate that he heard the man, but Sidney knows that to be normal in this kind of situation.

" Three... Two... One... " Sidney said calmly. He looked at Chris intensely.

Chris heard Sidney's voice, it was such a soothing sound. He heard what the man wanted from him, after Sidney counted to one, he began to realize what happened, first, he noticed where he was, he was a bit confused at first.

Then he started to remember!

His parents were dead! He remembered everything!

The blood, the screams. His heartbeat started to fasten.

The kidnapping and the beatings. The learning to steal and break locks, being forced to steal from people.

The ladies house and the scary aggressive man who visited that. The soldier and the front, the dying and killing people.

A wave of emotions washed over the little boy. He hated all those memories but the biggest one overflooded him.

His parents were gone! He remembered his mother, she was funny, sweet, and strong. Nothing seemed to bother her. She always seemed happy. He remembered her blond hair that looked like gold in the sun. Her sweet voice and scent.

He remembered his father, who was always calculated, strong, and protected him. Who always had an answer for everything. He was so smart and he always explained things. He remembered how he sounded and how his hugs felt.

He remembered them both.

He felt his heart shatter. He loved them, he needed them! Why them!

Hawkeye looked intensely at his son. He saw a whole lot of emotions in those young eyes, that must be a good sign! First, he saw him get aware. Then a turmoil of different emotions.

Chris his eyes watered. "Papa?" he said softly. " M-Mama! "

It took a couple of seconds but then the little boy broke down completely. He started wailing and curled up into himself. His body shaking as loud sobs left him

The wails ripped a hole through Hawkeye, Chris his suffering could be felt and heard by the whole camp.

Hawkeye jumped in, picked up Chris, and put his kid on his lap embracing him. Chris just kept sobbing, he yelled out to his parents. He was crying hysterically. " P-papa! "

"I'm here!" I got you! I got you! Hawkeye murmured to the boy, he had Chris completely concealed in his arms. Making soothing sounds he rocked slowly back and forth.

Chris put his arms around Hawkeye's neck and cried into his shoulder seeking comfort from the man. He thankfully stopped screaming. But he kept mumbling about his parents and calling out to them softly.

"Dad's here! I'm here! I've got you!" Hawkeye whispered," He wanted Chris to know that he was not alone anymore.

They are together in this. He could trust him. He kept telling him that no one was going to hurt him ever again.

" I'm proud of you. Let it all out. You did great! " He looked over at the other man.

Frans looked dead tired but relieved. Sidney seemed tired but glad. Chris responded like he needed to. Sidney knew now that Chris would recover, at least from his blocked speaking. His fear and anxiety were a problem for tomorrow. He would help of course.

" Could I call my grandmother from here?" Frans asked loudly to be heard over Chris his sobbing, he was glad the wailing stopped. He wanted to hear his grandmother's voice, she raised him and she was more of a mother to him than a grandmother. And right now he wanted his mom, he simply felt like crying.

"Yeah, clerk's office " Hawkeye answered, not losing his hold on Chris, who still sobbed.

As Frans emerged from the tent he was blinded by the daylight and the sun wasn't even shining. The whole ordeal only lasted for an hour or more, but it felt like a lifetime. He was so tired right now.

He entered the clerk's office and found Radar doing some paperwork.

Radar jumped up as he entered. " Is it over? Is he okay? Boy! We heard him scream over here, Frank kept complaining about it."

Frans shrugged " He remembers " was all he said. No Wouter wasn't okay, but hopefully, he will be in time.

"Can I call home? Ik wil mijn moeder bellen." Frans said.

At Radar's confused look he added, "Sorry, I'm very tired. I just want mam uhh grandmother. I mean mom. He sat down on the desk of the office. Hand on his head he sighed, God! He was tired. He couldn't even think straight.

"No problem, I get it!" Radar said with a sympathetic smile. He started getting the phone to work.

Meanwhile back in the Swamp, Chris was still sobbing in Hawkeye's arms, but he calmed down a tiny bit.

He had Hawkeye's clothes clenched in his fists like he was afraid of Hawkeye leaving. "Papa, Papa, I didn't..." he mumbled, tears running down his face.

"Shh, shh... It's alright now. Your papa is here, I'm not going anywhere and no one will hurt you again." Hawkeye murmured into his hair, rocking back and forth.

Hawkeye sighed sadly. He felt 10 years older. No! make that 20 years!

He looked at Sidney

"Boy! That was brutal."

Sidney just nodded, he was exhausted.

"I did all that I could for the moment, I'm going to take some rest, and finish the reports. After everybody is rested, meaning tomorrow, we will signal the papers, and talk about Chris's parents. It's important to talk about this to him. He needs their old memories of them more than the new ones. But I'm happy he is talking, tomorrow and tonight we will find out how much trouble he will have with his fear and emotions, but we need to rest first. I will let Frans know he should rest, and you two need some time to calm down.

He looked from the sobbing boy to Hawkeye tiredly.

" If you need me I'll be in the VIP tent."

And with that, he left the Swamp.

Stepping outside it seemed like a different world. Walking through the compound he noticed people seemed worried. They must have heard Chris crying. Most personnel knew the basics about Chris, that he was found and couldn't talk, and that they needed to find out what happened to get him to talk. The boy crying should upset most of the people here, some of them were parents themselves. He felt a bit guilty about it, but this was war! They simply didn't have the privacy he wanted for Chris.

Entering Radar's room he saw the man working with some papers, he was white as a sheet though. Then he noticed Frans on the phone. The teen was talking in Dutch so he couldn't understand a word of

it, but Frans looked like he had cried a lot. It seemed like he was being comforted by his mother right now.

Sidney sighed, he was so young still, only 19, the same age as Radar. He didn't like that Frans wanted to do this translation in the first place. You needed no emotional attachment to something like this because even then it was still very emotionally draining.

He put his hand on the late teen's shoulder, Frans looked up.

"Get some rest, Hawkeye and Chris need some time alone as well. You got a bed ready in the VIP tent. I'm going to finish the report and will go to sleep as well. And thank you, you did great back there." he squeezed the shoulder reassuringly.

"I know it's tough, but it's done now. "

Frans nodded thoughtfully

"Say hi to your grandmother for me. "

Sidney got a tired small in return before the teen started talking again on the phone.

Before Sidney walked out Radar appeared.

"How is he? Boy! He sounded so hurt! He will be okay right?" The clerk asked

Sidney sighed tiredly and rubbed his eyes. "He will recover, it will take time but he will. We just have to have patience with him."

Radar nodded. "Can I help?"

"No, now they just need time. But if you could tell people, to try not to frighten Chris, like sudden touch or loud voices. At least not for a couple of days. He also needs some gentle encouragement with talking. If everyone in the unit would take it into account that Chris gets startled easily, it would help."

"I will, and I know everyone wants to help. They care." Radar said before Sidney left.

At the swamp, Hawkey's shirt was completely drenched with tears and snot. He didn't mind, as long as Chris felt a bit better. Chris still sobbed softly but seemed almost asleep.

Hawkeye tried to move a little, he was getting cramps from sitting for so long. But Chris grabbed Hawkeye's clothes tighter, he let out a small sob. "Nee, ga niet weg!"

The small child was shaking, Hawkeye tighten his embrace.

"shhh. I'm here, kiddo! What did you say? I couldn't understand that!" Hawkeye murmured back.

Chris sighed softly, he seemed to calm down after hearing the other man. It took a couple of seconds, but with a soft voice, Chris said. "P-please don't go!"

"I won't, we will stay like this for as long as you need. I promise!" Hawkeye was overwhelmed that Chris finally talked, and incredibly proud that the boy trusted him enough to want his comfort. The hypnosis thankfully helped. Now he just needed to calm Chris down. He would be okay in time.

Chris finally fell asleep after that, he probably needed that promise. Hawkeye carefully tried to put him down on his rack.

Chris murmured a little but stayed asleep. After tugging Chris into bed, he let himself drop on his. He needed sleep too! I'm so tired! He sighed before he lost the battle against sleep.

He woke up about an hour later by movement to his right. He opened one eye with great difficulty and saw Chris climbing on his rack trying to get closer to the man.

Chris turned rigid when he saw Hawkeye was awake, his eyes widened and frightened. Hawkeye was just too tired right now, so he moved over to make some room on the rack before he pulled Chris towards him. Letting the boy snuggle close, he didn't mind at all, he could understand why Chris needed to be close right now.

"Sorry," a high, small voice said.

"Don't be!" Hawkeye whispered back, rubbing circles over the boy's back before he dozed off again.

Chris was fast asleep when he felt fear enter his mind. He heard the door open, his mind unconsciously starting to panic. Chris opened his eyes and sat up straight. He saw a man walk through the tent.

There's a man! They found me, they will take me away from here! His mind was speeding, he started to freak out!

He started to have difficulty breathing, he felt dizzy and weak. His heart started beating fast again, he felt like the world was spinning. his chest felt like it would explode! He could hardly even see Hawkeye next to him. And the sound of rapid heartbeats and his erratic breathing were not helping either! He couldn't think! Chris barely noticed Hawkeye waking up.

Hawkeye woke up to movement and the sound of ragged hyperventilation. After a second he realized Chris couldn't breathe! He was awake at once, going into full doctor mode.

"Hey, hey," he said, his hand on Chris' chest. He couldn't see Chris' face, but he could feel the rapid heartbeat.

"You have to slow down—breathe with me for a second. You're ok, you're safe, I promise."

Chris shook his head, he couldn't!

Trapper put on the light. "I'm sorry, I must have startled him" He looked pretty startled himself.

" Not your fault, and not Chris his fault," Hawkeye said, putting his hand on the back of the boy's neck. With the lights on he could finally see the child's face, Chris's face was red and his eyes were full of terror. Definitely a panic attack.

"Breathe. Calm down. Just try to calm down. Focus on your breathing. In through your nose, and hold... Release. It's just Trapper, you know Trapper. " Chris did seem to calm down a bit after that but his breathing was still off.

"Listen to me, kiddo!" Hawkeye needed to do something now.

" Chris? you feel my hand on the back of your neck?"

Chris managed a nod, so Hawkeye continued.

" When I tap once like this" He tapped the small neck with two fingers. "I need you to take a big breath, and hold it in till I tap again like that, can you do that for me?" Chris nodded rapidly

"Alright, so just breathe slowly. In *Tap* Go on. Good boy! and ...out *Tap* ...in and out... That's good, you're doing great."

Hawkeye sat a bit behind Chris on the rack. Chris his breathing finally calmed down. He just needed some instructions, Hawkeye couldn't blame the young boy for not knowing how to react to a panic attack. He personally never had one of those, he couldn't imagine what Chris must go through. He could only try to help.

The look of terror disappeared from the child's eyes

Hawkeye brought their foreheads together, brushing the boy's hair.

"Better?"

The boy nodded and tried to stop the tears which were now starting falling freely from his eyes. Hawkeye just embraced him.

He looked at Trapper who was trying to get his attention. Trapper mouthed "Okay?"

"No, but we will be! " Hawkeye said softly but confidently.

He will make sure of it.
