It was a grey and cloudy day as Major Sidney Freedman and Captain Sam Pak arrived at the 4077th. They got immediately greeted by Radar and directed to their tents.

They were there on official business, a "conference" but that was merely a cover story, it was their poker game evening, tonight.

And it gave the man a chance to see Chris. Which was also a great cover story as Sidney was his official psychiatrist.

Sidney held close contact with Hawkeye and Frans about the child. But they did that themselves also, Hawkeye had already written Frans a couple of times and even Chris sent letters, even a Dutch one for his grandmother, the boy received a letter back and a box of homemade cookies. Which the boy shared with almost everyone. And even Radar twice, because he ate so much according to his son.

Sidney was looking forward to seeing Chris and of course to the game tonight.

As Sidney entered his tent Radar was helping with his luggage.

" The conference will start at 18:00 hours sharp." the clerk said while struggling with Sidney's suitcase who was about to fall open. And it was pretty heavy.

"Oh, sir, if you like a drink, compliments of Colonel Blake." Radar said happily, he got the suitcase safe on the ground.

"Scotch, gin, vodka, and for your convenience all in the same bottle!" the clerk shrugged happily.

Sidney thanked the clerk and saluted him away. Just as Radar was about to leave, a small boy wanted to storm in, he was alone as his dad was taking a shower. Chris started to be brave enough to shower alone, so they didn't need to shower at the same time anymore. Chris knew Sidney would arrive and wanted to say hello, he missed the man.

Chris almost collided with Radar but stopped just in time and barely hopped around the late teen.

"I'm sorry!" The boy said quickly.

"Whoa, careful there!" said the young clerk while holding on to the boy for a second making sure he didn't fall before stepping to the side. "You ok?"

He nodded. "Yeah, I am fine. " Chris said as he looked at Sidney's gentle eyes.

He didn't even notice Radar leaving the tent. Chris came in with a lot of enthusiasm and wanted to say Hi! But now as he looked at Sidney, his emotions got away from him, he just felt so relieved to see the man! His heart was beating so fast that it hurt! And he still couldn't believe that he was actually here.

"Sidney!" he exclaimed before he let out a sob and sniffed.

"What's wrong? Angel?" Sidney said softly.

He could see the tears forming in those big blue eyes. He stepped closer to the child and opened his arms inviting the boy in. Chris didn't need to think about it, he trusted Sidney and he had missed the man.

The child almost ran into the man's embrace and buried his head into Sidney's belly, and started sobbing quietly.

"Did you miss me?" Sidney asked softly as he rubbed the little boy's back trying to calm him down.

Chris nodded his head against Sidney's stomach.

"Oh, Angel… I missed you too." Sidney wrapped his arms around the little boy tighter, he would just let Chris cry it out.

He had expected this kind of reaction, it's been a while since they saw each other, and Chris was very sensitive about the people he cared about. He wasn't sure how long they stood like that but eventually, the soft sobbing stopped.

Meanwhile, Radar was letting Sam pack know that the "conference" was starting at 18:00.

After that, the clerk went to the showers.

Hawkeye and Trapper are talking about nurses, something Hawkeye didn't do if Chris was near. It felt a bit weird to shower next to Trapper again and not his kid, but Chris started showering on his own, the doctor thought proudly.

He just needed a little push of course, but he was willing to try going alone if his dad stood guard at the door.

The first time he called for his dad to come in about six times during that shower, the one after that it was three.

After that Chris noticed nobody jumped at him, hurt him, or tried to take him away during the shower, so the next time he even tried without his dad standing guard.

The first time he did that he almost had a panic attack as Francis entered but the Priest quickly had the child calm down enough to prevent it. But he couldn't calm the boy down enough to stay and finish his shower. Because Chris quickly got out after, he could breathe normally again as he ran back to the Swamp.

He was still very scared, he couldn't get his emotions under control if his dad wasn't there. As he ran out of the showers he didn't even think about drying himself off, he only took a towel around his waist and ran.

Hawkeye was reading a magazine, when a sobbing wet child wearing a towel around his waist rushed to him and threw himself around his neck. He dropped the magazine in surprise as he automatically embraced his sobbing son.

The boy hiccuped into the crook of the man's neck as his tears kept pouring out of his big blue eyes and over his cheeks. Hawkeye stroked Chris's moist back comfortingly as he listened to the young boy's sobbing breath.

Hawkeye was completely soaked in seconds but thankfully he got Chris calmed down in minutes. When the boy calmed down enough, Chris told him Francis walked in and startled him.

Hawkeye explained to the child that Chris knows these people and that he was safe. He would know if there were strangers around, and if there are strangers, running home would be a good answer. But he needed his emotions under control especially if he was afraid and he didn't have to be afraid, he needed to think stuff through first before reacting to his fear.

He dried the still sniffing boy off that stood in front of him, they will try showering again later and got him into his clothes. Thankfully after that first time, it went a lot better.

Hawkeye smiled to himself as he remembered the very proud excited boy, who showered alone for the first time and didn't get a panic attack.

He was telling his dad about his adventurous tale of showering alone, waving his hands around excitedly.

How he almost didn't find and could get to the soap, and that he took Wally with him, and his bunny was completely covered in soap bubbles, "He looked more like a sheep!" because after he did find the soap, Wally wanted to help get clean.

Chris excitedly told Radar about it also, and the young man told the boy that he also showered with his bear once when he was younger, but his bear didn't like hanging with his ear on the clothesline to dry up, his ear stretched out a bit as well so he stopped. But maybe a bunny liked longer ears.

Chris didn't take any chances as he made sure to bind his bunny with a piece of rope around his belly on the washline. Instead of clothespins.

'I got a great kid! And I'm very happy he's playing. He should have fun while he's young.' Hawkeye thought happily as Radar walked in with the news that the two guests arrived, Chris was hugging Sidney and the game would be on at 18:00.

As Radar was cleaning his just fogged-up glasses Hawkeye looked at him and said.

"Hey, Radar, without your glasses you could almost pass for offensive."

The clerk put them back on and looked irritated at Hawkeye through the thick lenses.

"Hey, why don't you leave the little fellow alone?" Trapper said as Hawkeye snickered.

Radar shrugged and said " It's okay. I can take a joke. " before he turned and took both the doctor's bathrobes and walked out.

"Wait a minute!" Trapper tried hastily.

"I was KIDDING! You're beautiful!" Hawkeye shouted after the clerk.

Radar had no mercy as he walked off, leaving the two shouting doctors behind.

Sidney thought he had time to rest before the poker game but apparently, he was wrong. He got a very excited and adorable kid in front of him. Chris was showing him his schoolwork and even a couple of little stories he wrote. Sidney was very happy to see this boy grow so much, his schoolwork went great, math not so much and his biology was also not the best but overall he did great.

Chris then showed his little bunny and told Sidney about the time he showered together with it.

Sidney didn't mind listening to the happy rambling child. He cared about the boy, and the change in him was astonishing, he didn't seem scared right now. But the psychiatrist would have to observe for a while to know for sure.

It was remarkable to see the boy telling a story, and even better, telling it happy.

Chris then showed Sidney his bullet wound, which was almost healed by now. Sidney talked a bit about it, to find out if Chris was scared or traumatized by it. But the boy seemed fine. Apparently Chris thought it was a bit fascinating.

He knew before today that Chris had been shot, stuff like that went in Radar's day reports, and of course, Hawkeye wrote to him about it as well. So it didn't come as a surprise but hearing it and seeing the wound still made the man fearful for the child's life here. Not that they had a choice, right now Chris still seemed very stubborn to stay here.

At precisely 18:00 the whole crew had assembled at the Swamp. As the adults sat down and made the table game ready, Chris got everyone a drink, Hawkeye told the boy that it was self-serve, but Chris refused, as he shook his head while giving Sidney his drink.

Hawkeye shrugged, if Chris wanted to help, he could. It was not a bad thing he did sometimes as long as he didn't do it daily.

After getting everything ready Chris happily sat down next to his dad and Sidney on his other side. Hawkeye has been teaching him poker these past days because Chris wanted to play with them. There wasn't a lot to do around here when things got boring, so Hawkeye agreed to teach him some card games.

It was fine with the rest of them as well, Chris wouldn't be betting with money, because the child didn't have any, to begin with.

As the door flew open, Chris was startled a bit. He was sitting with his back to the door and couldn't see at first who entered.

Sidney noticed Chris doing that quite often, with almost every touch or sound, fear flashed in his eyes, it was very brief, but still there. And that was with the people he knew, Sidney didn't know how the child would react to strangers. Hawkeye told him that Chris got more involved with the patients, they liked talking to the child, and it encouraged the boy to talk more to them as well. It was a win-win situation.

Chris was always looking around like someone would appear out of nowhere and take him away from everyone. Sidney wondered if this was normal behavior of boys who were abandoned as young as he was and had no one they could trust. Maybe he will ask his colleagues about it later.

As the child looked at Klinger who entered he relaxed a bit.

"Sandwiches from the mess hall," The man said, he was wearing a red sweater and blue skirt with a matching blue and white shirt.

"There's ham, chicken, and something brown that just lays there,"

Klinger said as he sat down and joined the game.

"Still trying to get out of the Army wearing dresses, Klinger?" Sidney said. " Klinger, be creative! I remember a guy, insisting he was a cockroach, and would only crawl along with the woodwork."

Everyone laughed at that, as Henry dealt the cards.

They were starting their second game as Hawkeye asked Chris if he did his schoolwork today. They had a deal, he was supposed to do his work then he could play.

Chris turned to his dad with big guilty eyes. "Uh... A-a-almost?" he whispered, earning him a stern look from his father.

Freedman noticed Chris his stutter was stress or fear related, the moment he got a bit nervous it started. That also means they wouldn't need to work on his stuttering alone, if they got Chris less nervous it would go away on its own.

"Almost? Then why are you playing right now?" Hawkeye said as he gave Chris a stern look as he took away the boy's cards, his kid didn't look happy at all, but they had a deal.

"B-but... I?" The nervous boy tried. He only needed to do his math work but he hated that.

"No! you're getting up right now and going to finish your work!" Hawkeye said as he pulled the boy gently from his chair and turned him towards his cot.

"Didn't we agree to you finishing your schoolwork?"

Chris whispered something but it was so soft Hawkeye couldn't make out the words.

"What did you say, Chris?"

Chris sighed and looked away. His cheeks were red with embarrassment, his eyes were watering slightly. He stood closely to his dad, trying to be subtle, convincing his dad to let him play.

"I need an answer, Chris. I didn't hear you correctly?"

"I-i-i can finish later?" Chris whispered.

" It's may I, and no! Not at all, young man. We had a deal, didn't we? "

"Noooo, Papa… ! Can't you just let me play?" The boy whispered to his dad's ear. But Hawkeye still had to listen very closely to hear him.

Hawkeye was a bit irritated that Chris didn't do his work, and got a bit more annoyed by the child's attitude. But he had to admit it was nice that Chris felt safe enough to misbehave a bit.

"No, I won't let you play, I never back down from a deal, and you know it. You have homework due today! Now come on! " as he gave the child a gentle push towards his cot, where his books were.

The small boy looked back and gave his dad one last begging look.

The other adults completely ignored the other two, giving them a bit of so-called privacy.

"Now! Don't make me smack you on your fanny" His dad threatened as Chris still didn't move. The little boy's face went flaming red, he tried so hard to be quiet and not let the other adult hear his dad giving him a stern talking too. But his dad had other plans, he was talking too loud. Now he had no choice, if he disobeyed, he'd be getting slapped on his bottom again. His dad always followed through with his threats.

He quickly went to his cot, sat down, and with a deep sigh got to work. He just needs to do several pages. He just finished one as Radar entered the Swamp.

The clerk had earlier asked the colonel if he could use a jeep to drive to a bar. He looked very nervous as he tried to get the older man's attention.

But Henry was busy deciding if he wanted to call or bet.

"Not now, Radar!"

"But, sir..." The nervous clerk tried

"Radar, Whatever it is, sign it, cancel it, or order five more." Henry snapped.

The colonel raised the bet and lost this round to Klinger, he threw his cards on the table.

"Oh, rats!"

"Sir... it's important! And private," Radar tried again. After that he finally got the colonel to agree and come with him.

Chris looks at the leaving couple with curiosity, he wanted to know what was wrong with Radar, maybe he needed help. But he didn't want to get in trouble by following the two.

He really tried to stay and work, but math is so boring! And his curiosity won after he heard the voice of Henry, they stood close by. His curiosity won as he quietly sneaked past the loudly poker-playing adults.

As the boy came closer to Henry and Radar, he heard the clerk say.

".. It was a Korean thump.. sir!"

"Why a Korean thump?" Henry asked a bit confused

"because I ran over a Korean!" the clerk explained, shocked.

Henry was not happy with that as he told the clerk about getting thrown in jail for stuff like this, as they headed to the hospital where the man was getting looked over.

Chris was shocked 'Jail!', he thought as he followed after them. He needed to make sure now!

Chris opened the door to post up and peeked through.

As Henry was checking the man over, they found out he was not bleeding or hurt. The man just seemed to be in shock.

Radar looked like he felt very guilty and terrible about this. He was very pale and was nervously wringing his hands together, telling how awful he felt about this.

The Korean man moaned loudly, making Radar nervously walk back and forth.

It was then that the Clerk saw the small boy. "Chris! You!.. Shouldn't you be back at the Swamp?" Radar said.

Chris looked at the clerk with a slightly hurt expression, Radar never told him what to do.

But it did make the child remember he was indeed supposed to be back at the Swamp. His eyes got big as he rushed away.

He hoped his dad didn't notice him gone! But he had no such luck as he saw his dad outside the Swamp looking around for him.

As the boy neared he saw the expression of his dad change from worry to relief and ended with mad and disappointment.

Chris stopped a few feet away in front of the man, but Hawkeye was having none of that as he grabbed the boy's bicep and pulled him closer.

Chris whimpered but let him be pulled, he knew he would get at least one slap on his behind for this, he just hoped it wouldn't be a whole spanking. Especially not with Sidney here!

"So this is you doing your schoolwork? " the doctor said, still holding the small bicep firmly.

"I-i-i I am sorry " The child whispered hastily. His face looked like he was about ready to cry or run away, he hated when people were upset with him, he did his best to behave but he was just worried about people.

Hawkeye sighed as his free hand went to open the child's pants. It was dark out, and nobody was around so this was more privacy than inside at the moment.

Chris gasped and immediately his tears sprung into his eyes as he slowly started crying. He rubbed his eyes with his free hand as the other arm was being held.

He didn't try to stop his dad, he knew this was coming, and if he behaved now it would hopefully be only one or two smacks. But he didn't expect to be spanked on the bare! Tears streamed down his face as he burned with embarrassment.

His dad promptly pulled the boy's pants and white briefs down just as far as they needed to go.

"Noo..." The boy tried whimpering as his dad quickly turned him to the side to get better access.

Two fast harsh slaps followed.

"Ouch…" Chris whimpered as he felt the sharp stinging sensation along his bottom. It's been a while since his dad smacked him, and he forgot how much it could hurt.

" I am disappointed in you. " His dad added as he turned Chris back to face him and pulled Chris his clothes back up. " You will learn to listen to me, young man! Didn't I tell you, what would happen? You told me you would be doing your work twice now, you should be glad I'm not putting you over my knee for this! "

"I'm s-s-sorry d-dad…" He cried softly.

Hawkeye looked into his son's sad teary blue eyes, letting him know he was serious.

"If you don't stay inside this time and do your work, you will be getting a pak slaag! ( Spanking ) "

Chris froze and got even a bit redder at hearing that. He hated that his dad knew Dutch phrases like this, he loved the endearment he got, but this was way worse than just the word spanking.

Hawkeye started using the Dutch word sometimes to prevent embarrassment for the boy. Chris hated it, but nobody understood the phrases, so he thought it was better when there are people around.

At the red embarrassed expression of his son, he knew he made himself clear so he added.

"And after that, you will be sent to bed, no poker for you tonight! Understood?"

"Y-yes, sir," Chris added quickly, no way he wanted a spanking! And he wanted to play, he looked forward to this for days already.

Hawkeye embraced his crying child.

His kid was so sensitive sometimes and so emotional and scared too. He wanted him out of this war, away from all these men who were killing people. But it was so difficult, especially when Chris refused to go.

After the child calmed down, they entered the Swamp. Everybody said hello to Chris but ignored the tears, and they didn't say anything about what they must've heard outside.

With a completely red face, even his ears were red, Chris went to his cot. He sighed and started on his math again.

After a while, Frank came in.

"Oh, I see the "conference" is in full swing."

After only getting some contrary remarks back Frank continued.

"It's against regulations to gamble with an enlisted man." He pointed to Klinger.

"You never enlisted did you, Klinger?" Hawkeye asked

Klinger took his cigar out of his mouth before he started his story.

"When they came for me, I ran like a thief right into Grand Central Station. And they trapped me in a pay toilet."

"Beautiful," McIntyre said.

"Cost'em four dollars in nickels to get me out."

Everyone laughed, and even Chris snickered, but his dad gave him a look and pointed to his work, making the child get back to his work.

"I love a volunteer," Hawkeye said

"You know, during the physical, they jabbed me with a coat hanger to get me to cough!"

People laughed out loud at that, unlike Frank who shook his head disappointed.

"Boy! If that doesn't take the cake! Officers laughing at a draft dodger while a real soldier lies bleeding in O.R."

That sobered the doctors up and they wanted an explanation.

Frank then tells them a Lieutenant Rogers, a CID man who sustained multiple injuries from a chopper crash, is about to undergo surgery, but Frank delays it, citing Army regulations that a CID man cannot be anesthetized unless another CID man is present.

Frank has already sent for one and is awaiting his arrival.

Hawkeye rebukes him for his silly adherence to regulation, but when Pak mentions that he lost a patient like that once, Hawkeye and Trapper deal themselves out and go to the OR to operate.

Chris already collected his books but Hawkeye firmly told him No, schoolwork first!

Chris gave the man his best puppy eyes but only got a stern expression back. "Remember what I told you! You can come later after you finish."

Chris blushed at that but nodded as he spread out his book again on his cot. Frank was fuming about the doctors breaking regulations by operating on the bleeding man.

"Frank, we promise to keep saluting all during the operation," Hawkeye said before they walked out.

A second later Henry came back in.

It took some time for Chris to finish his work, and by then his bedtime was coming up. He wasted all his time on his work, and now he didn't have much time to play poker with his friends and dad. He quickly headed to post-op and saw his dad and Trapper already finished with their patient, and were now talking to Frank who kept upsetting a young man, who didn't want to go back to the front.

Hawkeye saw his kid and motioned for him to come close.

"Finished?" The doctor asked as Chris nodded quickly.

At that moment the intercom came to life telling the doctors they are needed at the "conference".

"They need your money," the intercom said

So the doctors and Chris headed back. Hawkeye checked on the boy's work and declared that Chris could finally play again, he only just played one game so far. And he finally started to understand the game a bit.

They played for about an hour before Hawkeye said

"Everybody freeze!" Everyone stopped for a second and looked at the man.

"One of the sandwiches just moved."

Everybody looked at the plate on the small table next to them for a second before Hawkeye started dealing the cards again.

"Sidney, What's the psychiatric basis for gambling?" The doctor asked while dealing.

"Sex," The man said without hesitation.

"Why?

"I don't know. They tell me to say it. Sex is why we gamble. Sex is why we drink. sex is why we give birth." Freedman said with an amused smile.

"Thank you, Doctor." Hawkeye said sarcastically

"I'm taking a five-dollar chip. That was a house call." Sidney said, making Chris giggle, the boy sat in between the two and was looking at his new hand of cards.

At the child's giggle, Hawkeye noticed the time, it was later than he thought, Chris should have been in bed already.

"Chris, it's past your bedtime."

The child looked at his dad shocked like he didn't see that one coming, then he looked very sadly at his cards.

Hawkeye almost rolled his eyes, his kid was a bit dramatic at times. He knew the boy was just excited that Sidney was here and would get over it, but it didn't mean the little boy had to act out too much.

"C-c-can I stay up later tonight?" He asked softly, looking back at Hawkeye with big eyes. It couldn't hurt to try.

Hawkeye sighed, he had hoped this would be easy, but the boy was stubborn. Chris wouldn't go to bed until he was satisfied with something or else he would pout and cry until his father got tired of it and threatened with a spanking, and he didn't want to give one.

"How about you go put on your PJs, and we can talk about it." He suggested and the boy nodded happily, Chris didn't behave his best today but he liked seeing the boy happy, for once it would be okay.

Chris rushed to put his pajamas on, he collected Wally on the way and stood in front of Hawkeye in mere minutes.

The adults laughed at Chris' rapidly changing, as Hawkeye brushed the child over his head affectionately.

Chris liked the affection, a normal boy of ten would have brushed the hand away demanding that they were too old for that. But Chris loved it. Hawkeye hoped he would stay like that at least a bit longer.

"An half of an hour! Okay? Then without complaining to bed with you! Understand? " Chris nodded with a big smile and sat down again picking up his cards.

They played for ten minutes before the door of the Swamp opened again and Frank, with a strange man, walked in.

Chris jumped up a little and got big eyes, a stranger's still brought a lot of fear to the child.

He was scared and not knowing who this man was made him even more frightened.

He slowly took a step back into the person behind him until it stopped him from going any further. He could hear his father's voice telling him that he didn't need to be scared, but it was hard when someone just barged into their tent without knocking. His breathing started to speed up but at that moment he felt an arm around his waist, hugging the child close. Apparently, Chris walked into Sidney.

Chris stayed like that in Sidney's semi-embrace while he looked weary at the strange man. His breathing calmed down a little. Hawkeye watched his kid close, he saw a panic attack forming but Sidney must've noticed it too. Hawkeye got pretty attuned to Chris's signs of a panic attack. He was glad to see his kid calm down a little as well, Sidney's embrace helped.

Hawkeye felt a rush of affection toward his kid and a little towards the man helping him at the moment. He was glad Chris trusted the man, Sidney was his psychiatrist and Chris needed to trust him to get help from him.

The strange man then told the group of people he was arresting Pierce and McIntyre.

"Whoa! Hold the phone. I'm colonel Blake here. Nobody arrests them without telling me the whys and therefore or the reason thereof. "

Frank explained it again, citing Army regulations that a CID man cannot be anesthetized unless another CID man is present. And THEY did!

The doctors explained in turn that the man could've died if they didn't help him, he didn't say anything at all while he was getting under.

The CID man rebukes Frank for making a trip up from Seoul for nothing, but when Trapper invites him to sit in on the poker game.

"Deal me in!" the CID man said as he took a seat.

In disgust, Frank storms off to take a shower.

As the CID man sat next to Klinger he said.

"Hey! Up close, you're a guy!"

Klinger responded seriously " Far away too."

Hawkeye had to send a sad Chris to bed after that, due to circumstance the boy barely played any games tonight, but he would've played more if he had his schoolwork done in time, so he had only himself to blame as well.

Chris sobbed quietly as his dad tugged him in mumbling soft endearment, trying to soothe him. It was way later than Hawkeye planned to get him into bed, and he couldn't let Chris be awake for longer.

The child was almost asleep when Radar barged in again, Chris was wide awake after that. Hawkeye looked at the clerk with an Are-you-serious look.

Radar just shrugged, he felt bad but had more urgent matters.

The clerk then explained to Henry that the local wants fifty dollars in exchange for not reporting him to the MPs, Pak realizes that they have "the fall-down king of Korea", a one-time farmer and now-professional accident victim nicknamed "Whiplash" Hwang, who makes a living from pretending to be hit by vehicles and then extorting money from his targets in exchange for not pressing charges against them.

Trapper coerces them all to put in ten dollars to help out.

"Hey, this is blackmail you know, maybe I ought to run him in!" The CID man said.

"Maybe you will, on your way home!" Hawkeye said giving Radar his ten bucks.

Radar thanked the men multiple times, he was very relieved the local wasn't hurt and he wouldn't be going to jail or anything, he didn't mind giving the man some money, he could've just asked instead of jumping in front of his jeep though, but okay.

Before Radar left he asked if the sandwiches were for everyone.

"Everyone with a death wish." Sidney replied.

Radar left carrying five sandwiches in total.

After Radar left Chris seemed to fall asleep again. It was almost 2 in the morning by now because explaining everything to everyone took a long time.

Chris loved falling asleep while he heard his dad and friends talk in the background, it soothed him, knowing they were close by and are having fun.

Just as he was about to drift off there were gunshots! He flinched awake and jumped out of bed and crawled under the table next to his dad and the other guest he ducked under there.

This was no way to get your child to go to sleep! Hawkeye thought as he held the scared child close. Reader ran back in and explained that there is a patient who "blew his cork".

"Sidney! Front and center!" Hawkeye said.

"I'm not getting out there without a bulletproof couch." the man replied before they heard more shooting.

Hawkeye held Chris protected under him, so no stray bullets could hit the boy.

After that last shot, they heard Burns yell from out of the showers. The group quickly but still ducked headed that way, Hawkeye held Chris close, keeping the boy in bed now would be impossible and also would be something that Hawkeye didn't want. He wanted Chris close right now.

Nearing the showers they found out thanks to a terrified Frank that there is a patient with a gun with him in the shower.

Hawkeye refrained from saying something funny, as Sidney tried to talk to the patient. It wouldn't help the situation.

As Sidney was distracting the man, Trapper sneaked inside and grabbed the gun. They struggled for a bit but Trapper managed to get the gun away from him.

Sidney took over as he barged in as well and took the scared emotional patient back to his bed in post-op while talking to him.

Frank was huddled on the floor. As Hawkeye and Trapper asked if he was okay, the man quickly stood up and acted like he saved the day.

Hawkeye sighed as he took his kid back outside, time to get Chris to bed again. It was almost around 3 in the morning and his kid looked dead tired.

As they walked back, Radar drove the ambulance through the compound.

They heard a loud thump and screaming as Radar again drove against Whiplash Hwang. The almost hysterical clerk came out of the driver's seat and said, " I didn't see him! Honest!"

The man moaned on the ground holding his leg up like he was hurt.

Hawkeye sighed as he let go of Chris and he and Trapper helped the man up

" Let's go Whiplash! You had a busy day!" He said hoisting the man up and bringing him to the post-op to get him checked out again.

Radar followed behind, still pretty upset by his hitting the man again. Chris followed them, he didn't know if that was allowed but he was still a bit scared and wanted to stay close. He also wanted to cheer Radar up, as his friend seemed very upset.

As they put the Korean Whiplash Hwang to bed again, Chris quickly got Radar his bear from under the clerk's pillow.

Radar didn't even seem to notice as he kept saying he didn't see the man. He just took the bear from the child and held him against his chest, without pulling his eyes away from the doctors who checked the man out.

Chris smiled, Radar seemed a bit calmer.

Hawkeye smiled at his son, that was a sweet gesture. After they made sure the man was fine, Hawkeye got up and gave his son a big hug.

As the doctor and a very tired Chris left the building, Hawkeye saw Radar looking confused at his bear to his bed and back. Like the bear just ran and jumped into his arms without the clerk knowing. Hawkeye grinned. Maybe he would remark to the clerk tomorrow about seeing his bear wandering around the compound. Maybe the late teen would believe him after a while.

He got Chris to bed again and this time the child was asleep in seconds.

The rest of their group reunited and they started playing again. Thankfully it stayed quiet the rest of the night after all the commotion and his kid slept through.

They finally were done playing around noon the next morning. Klinger fell asleep on his chair while Henry almost slept on the table, the rest of them looked like corpses.

Chris was still asleep and looked adorable like this. He was curled up on his side, one foot hanging over the bed, mouth slightly open, breath coming out softly as he slept. The sheets were pulled up to his chin. Wally was next to his face and his hair was tousled and sticking up.

Chris slept so peacefully, almost too peacefully it made the doctor smile.

Hawkeye already dreaded the upcoming bedtime, getting Chris to sleep at his normal hour after he slept till noon would be difficult.

He sighed as he watched his kid with affection.
