Notes: For LJ user hireadd, who asked for something Yami no Bakura-centric-- at which I utterly fail. D: My YnB muse is broken, but my Thief King Bakura muse is going strong... well, they're kind of the same person? Rated K+ for some violence. 188 words.
Disclaimer: I don't own any part of Yuugiou. I just play with the shiny.

They say time heals all wounds. For Bakura, time does nothing but rip new gashes into his spirit. Time allows other people to think it's all over now, that it doesn't matter because it happened years and years ago. That it doesn't affect them.
But Bakura is a strong believer in fairness, and the fact that time is only affecting him is not fair. In the absence of a god willing to mete out justice, Bakura takes it upon himself to make things equal.
There are children who have never seen their parents die. There are brothers who are able to protect their siblings. There are common folk who are allowed into the market to buy a loaf of bread. There is a prince who is rich and happy and kind and it makes Bakura sick to hear how the people follow him-- lambs to the slaughter, every one of them!
He is sure the royal family has laid a second deadly trap for their people. Bakura's only wish is that when it's sprung, he could be the executioner.
