There was an odd delicateness about it, the way it just felt right with her skin against his and how she realised how much she needed this from the first time they finally felt that pull between them. Her eyes opened and she groaned slightly, it wasn't an exasperated one but more of a cute, tired one and Liam smirked slightly before running his hand down her body, resting his hand on her hip and that caused her to turn around and look at him with a small smile. Liam couldn't help but smile down at her, she leant up and kissed him softly on the lips and then rested her head on his shoulder as they both took in this moment, both of them, together just laying here and being almost domesticated.

"Morning" he breaks the silence and she groans again softly "You ok?"

"Yeah just...tired" she frowns sitting up slightly, he takes in her expression before leaning forward and kissing her softly on the lips "Did last night really happen?"

"Yep" he responds quickly, she hums slightly looking down at her naked body "I dont mind nipping out and getting you some breakfast"

"No, no...it's ok" she assures him before jumping slightly at an aggressive knock at the door "For god's sakes"

"I'll go-"

"No, what if its someone who knows us...they could tell Tony or Maria, I'll go" Carla rolls her eyes getting out of bed, she wraps her dressing gown around herself and heads to the door "Oh it's you?"

"Yes its me, is he here?" Maria demands and Carla sighs slightly raising an eyebrow "Dont mess with me Carla, he didnt come home last night and I know you know where he is"

"Maria I hate to break this to you but listen to every word that comes out of my lips ok? I do not know where Liam is ok? He hasn't even been in contact and has no reason to be"

"So he's not here?" Maria narrows her eyes and Carla nods slowly "If I find out you've been lying to me-"

"I swear I haven't been lying to you Maria" Carla responds trying to keep the bitter tone out of her words "Now is that all?"

"I suppose" Maria mumbles "If you see him or hear from him, tell him it's urgent, ok?"

"Of course" Carla offers a brief smile watching as she walks away, she shuts the door and pinches the bridge of her nose before looking up at Liam coming out of the bedroom to stand in front of her

"Sorry" he mumbles placing his hands on the sides of her arms "I think we need to have a proper discussion, dont you?"

"Um...yeah" she grits out as much as she didnt like the idea, there was so much going on that it was probably wise to speak to Liam "You arrange it and I'll be there"

"Alright" he smiles before kissing her on the forehead, she bites her lip and before smiling up at him "You look a bit washed out?"

"Do I?" she hums slightly and Liam nods "Probably pregnancy stuff"

"Mhm," he hums even if he wasnt convinced, her phone goes off and he watches her scratch her head before picking it up from the side "Everything ok?"

"Um...Tony has to stay another night apparently, I hardly see him these days" she jokes and Liam smiles at her "Just...arrange something and I'll be there, a time and a place and I'm all yours"

"Is this my chance, to finally win you over?" he tries and she hums thoughtfully before biting her lip "Sorry too soon-"

"No, no" she wags her finger at him "We'll see"

"We'll see?" he raises an eyebrow, repeating her words, she nods "Well thats better than you shutting me down"

"Just dont take liberties, I have an open mind right now and-"

"I have to try and win it over?"

"Hm, we'll see" she smiles and he nods slowly bending down to kiss her softly on the lips, she smiles "You can see yourself out, I'm going to jump in the shower-"

"I could always join you" he smirks and she pulls a face opening the door for him, her eyebrows raised "Worth a try"

"Mhm, I'll see you when I see you, Liam"

She didnt know what made her mind so open about a life with Liam, maybe it was the way Tony was being with her and maybe she just wanted to feel something instead of the now mundane life she had with Tony. Deciding on a bath instead of a shower now, she soaked her thoughts away or tried to but they kept coming back, if she was honest with herself she was excited to see what Liam would conjure up and when that text came through, confusion washed over her. He wanted to pick her up around lunchtime and that left her confused not really knowing what he was playing at so she rushed around packing an overnight bag as instructed to do on the text message and then she was off to one of the most affluent hotels in town.

"Uh...lime and soda, with ice" Carla smiles at the bartender who pours her drink out for her, she frowns checking the time; he was running late "Come on Liam..."

"Can I offer you any bar stacks?" the bartender asks, Carla pulls a face at how forward he was

"Uh, no, if I want them I'll ask" she rolls her eyes picking up her drink and heading to the reception to be greeted by the receptionist "Uh, hi...I was wondering if you could help, my...husband...he booked a room, under the name Connor, I was wondering if I could have the key?"

"Let me check our system" the receptionist smiles before frowning "Ah, here, the honeymoon suite, apparently he's been expecting you"

"Oh" Carla falters, her heart filling with warmth at the fact Liam went to all this effort "Thank you"

"It's on the top floor, to the left" the receptionist smiles and Carla nods taking herself to the elevator to go up to the room, she pulls her phone out and hums

"Look, Liam, if you get this message... it's a lovely surprise, thank you and I hope to share it with you so we can have a long hard talk about us...hopefully, I'll see you soon, let me know if you get this message" she sighs ending her voicemail as she steps out of the elevator, she finds the room and enters before frowning at it being all dark so she flicks the light on and frowns, but soon enough a wide smile was on her face at the rose petals littering the covers, an envelope on the covers so she picks it up and rips it open before frowning, her heart picking up pace as she read it "I know"

With that she had never been out of somewhere so quick, she immediately asked the receptionist if anyone had been in the room before she had gotten the keys but nothing, well the receptionist was very unhelpful leaving Carla to leave that hotel as fast as she could. On her way home she sent a number of texts to Liam, none of which she got any response from leaving her to stress even more. It was a battle to keep herself calm and when she got in she sat on the sofa, her legs pulled up to her chest the best they could as she thought through who could know. Tony was an impossibility as he was at his business conference thing. The only other person she could think about was Maria, it had to be her and the more Carla thought about it the more she was convinced it was her so she rang Leanne, needing to speak to someone who knew about her and Liam, it just had to be her.

"What's so urgent? Is it the baby? DO we need to take you to the hospital?" Leanne questions and Carla shakes her head passing her the envelope "What's this? I know...who knows what?"

"I dont know who knows what!" Carla snaps and Leanne raises an eyebrow at her attitude "Me and Liam we kind of...rekindled our...thing?"

"For god's sakes Carla!" Leanne scowls and Carla just pinches the bridge of her nose not appreciating the disapproving looks she was getting "And?"

"I said I would talk to him, and he was all for talking to me-"

"I'm going to need a drink for this"

"This is serious Leanne!" Carla cries and she just sighs in annoyance and nods "So anyway I get a text from Liam saying he's booked a hotel, so I go there and he doesn't show up so I ask the receptionist for the key and I go up to the room, the bed was covered in rose petals and I see that note on top of them"

"So... you think this isn't Liam?" she frowns and Carla nods slowly "These texts?"

"Here, it's weird though, they're literally from Liam's contact, all of our previous conversations are above"

"Hm, very odd, why would he mess with you if you were supposedly going to have that dreaded 'talk' it makes no sense"

"It has to be Maria, she's the only one who has access to his phone...maybe she set this all up, she came around this morning demanding to know where Liam is"

"Well I doubt you told her he was in your bed"

"Hardly" Carla rolls her eyes "I just told her that I hadn't heard from him and that was that, she soon got the message and left"

"Would she really necessary go to those lengths"

"Oh I dont know Leanne, I dont need the stress" Carla responds "What happened with Liam last night, it was amazing, I've felt so much more alive since then but now this has knocked me six. I need to think of the baby, putting it under that much stress, my heart was racing and...this is so risky doing this with Liam..."

"I know..." Leanne brings her in for a hug "It'll be ok"

"I hope so...I just dont know what to do, someone out there knows about me and Liam...I dont know who-"

"Well they might not know, but could they suspect?" Leanne counters and Carla hums slightly "There is a difference"

"Either way, they're out to cause me stress, aren't they? I guess it's decision time now-"

"Tony or Liam?" Leanne smiles reassuringly and Carla bites her lip, she shakes her head "No?"

"No...I can do one better, its time to put myself and my baby first, I'll need your help though"

"Anything at all, you know you always have my support" Leanne confirms and Carla smiles slightly before nodding

"Good, because what I have in mind...it could change everything"
