Summary/Disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Code of Honor. Enjoy the 2000-word chapter. I don't own Star Wars, Disney, and Lucas Arts.

(Mandalore, 19BBY)

"Tracyn?" The Padawan heard as he climbed to his feet. "Tracyn? I need to see you on the bridge." Tracyn heard before he slowly started to step towards the bridge.

The small C-70 corvette was small and hadn't been assigned its complement of soldiers yet. There was little space for the Jedi and his Padawan. It was no Venator class cruiser and it showed in the crew which all seemed to be on edge.

Tracyn entered the bridge and slowly approached Gest who stared out the window of the support ship. The Bothan seemed to be holding a case in one of his hands.

"You wanted to see me, master?" Tracyn questioned with a raised eyebrow as he approached. "There's been nothing on the scanners yet," Tracyn stated to which there was a smile on the old man's face.

Tracyn fell silent out of respect for his master. The man hadn't lied to him on these topics when it came to it. He simply questioned what the Jedi Master demanded of him as he was smart enough to also realize that this wasn't a knighting.

"I did," Gest stated while he brushed off his tunic with interest. "Something arrived for you from your home planet," Gest stated to which the Padawan seemed to tilt his head to the side with a frown as he did so.

There was a silence between the master and apprentice as he tilted his head. Gest reminded himself that his padawan had remembered little of this when he had been inducted into the order. It wasn't at all to be a normal debate as to their tactics both tilted to other things.

Still? Both needed this discussion. The Clone Wars demanded him and his Padawan's attention and while he was aware of what they had gifted him… It did not concern his Padawan. Not yet at least.

"This case is from Mandalore," Gest stated while he held the case in his hands as he rotated on his heel. "Someone who has a history with your family has wished me to deliver it to you," Gest stated while Tracyn tilted his head.

"What is it?" Tracyn questioned before he glanced at the case. "Wait. I've seen this symbol before, I believe, Master." Tracyn stated before he tilted his head.

There was a large frown as he seemed to be rather interested in how this went. He felt memories in his mind seem to fade in and out of his mind which all told him different things. He slowly went to grab the case from his master's hand.

He was stopped by a hand that was held towards him and seemed to stop him from grabbing the case from the hands of the Jedi master in question. He seemed rather confused as to what was the real reason, he had been gifted this package. It reminded his master that it had not been so long ago that he had been taken from his clan and pressed into the service of a Jedi. He was placed in a position where they had been given a rather harsh way to survive and one which he wouldn't at all tell.

Yet? They had a mission, and it was their duty as Jedi to see it carried out as well as they were allowed. Neither of them was to be given any support, nor a way to handle this sort of training. It had been a lot harsher to handle than he had expected. It had been in a way that didn't require any support.

"What is this mission they need both of us for anyway, master?" Tracyn questioned with an eyebrow raised as he seemed to stare around with interest. "I don't see much that needs either of us here for today if I'm honest," Tracyn stated while he sighed to himself.

"There is a Jedi Knight and his Padawan who are visiting the ship and whom we will be escorting a very valuable senator with," Gest stated which earned a frown from the Padawan.

Gest inwardly chuckled. This Padawan reminded him of Master Skywalker's. He could not blame the Padawan for not being sated, he did push him along the path of a Jedi, yet there was still the blood of a Mandalorian within him. Gest made a mental note to ask one of the planet's surviving elders if there was anything he could do to sate these warrior instincts within him. They did not like Jedi, but a foundling who had been part of thought to be dead clan? It was something they wouldn't turn down anytime soon.

"Master?" Tracyn questioned and seemed to tilt his head to the side as he did so. "Is something wrong? We're almost there, it will take a few minutes according to the crew." Tracyn stated before he seemed to cross his arms.

"Yes, just waiting for my thoughts to all be in order. It takes some time to organize them, my apprentice, if I'm 100% honest." Gest stated before he watched Tracyn tilt his head. "They're be meeting us soon enough. I'm sure and Master Skywalker's Padawan can handle one mission before opening that box, no?" Gest questioned to which he laughed as Tracyn seemed to blink.

"Master Skywalker is coming?! He and Padawan Tano are legends among the Jedi!" Tracyn stated to which Gest could only roll his eyes.

'Of course, he and that Togruta of his would give him this reaction. I can only hope he can accept to learn that he's entirely Jedi and Mando… No. it's not a crime to care about something important. Even Master Jinn understood that and with him still around? Perhaps we can finally find something worth fighting for if there is anything left.' Gest mentally stated before he returned his thoughts to his Padawan.

"Yes, they are. He is coming sooner or later. If you can handle this mission? You can handle that gift I had given you. It is special and I do not want to see you touch it before we are done with this mission, am I to be entirely understood?" Gest questioned which made the Padawan nod and rush towards the transport tube.

Still? He had a lot more on his mind than this. A lot more was to be done with this. Gest was aware of the fact that the young Mandalorian would not accept that part of his heritage was with their enemies. Mandalorians and Jedi had history both had and good and some of them had almost all reason to hate them. A Bothan like him was well aware of this, information was one of their best weapons and it seemed as if they had no limits to what they were able to learn at the time. All that was to be needed was time and effort for it to unravel.

Gest sighed and wiped at his temples, only he'd get a padawan similar to this. It did nothing to make him less amused at the fact they had a mission to be proud of. This was something to be celebrated at the time and all he needed. He slowly watched as a Venator Class Cruiser dropped out of hyperspace. He nodded towards his staff and followed after his Padawan.

There was so much to do, Skywalker always seemed to be good at showing up when he wasn't expected. Still? There were more problems as of now. The sooner they were able to focus.

He watched as a shuttle departed the ship. No doubt master Skywalker, his Padawan, and the clones that had traveled with him. There were some thoughts on the Bothan's Jedi's mind. He did not falter from the role he had been given in life. Instead, he used it to push himself to heights that he was capable of before.

He folded his hands behind him as he seemed to slowly march forwards. He honestly questioned what was to come. It was clear there was a war to come, he didn't need to be Master Yoda to be here at the time for him to see there was more coming.

Yet? They needed allies, Gest trusted in his clones and his apprentice, but he had been wary of the fact more allies would be needed, ones with more fire. He had his plan to win this war and all he needed time was for trying to gain Master Yoda's blessing to try it.

"What will happen if we can manage to get them on our side? This war hinges on us garnering more allies than we can count. Sometimes I question the severity of the fact we are leading countless soldiers down this path." Gest stated before he seemed to question his own words.

He sighed to himself before he clicked his fingers together and stared into space.

"Master the ship is arriving!" Gest heard as he snapped his thoughts to his friend.

"Coming, I'll remember that you're more excited about this than training!" Gest stated before he rolled his eyes as he seemed to question what he was thinking at the moment.

He sighed to himself and walked towards the docking tube. He was honestly ready for the mission to be done and dusted at the time. It was better to be onto the next assignment and shed this one than constantly onto the next mission.

"I'm only happy to see Master Skywalker, Master." Gest heard as he rolled his eyes. "There will be a lot more on the horizon that we can focus on after this when it comes down to it," Gest stated before he tilted before he seemed to rub at his chin.

"Indeed, but there's much that you don't entirely know when it comes down to it," Gest stated before he seemed to question what to do next. "We both know what will come if you don't entirely know what to do, young one. I will not let one of my apprentices be set loose into the world without a proper class on training." Gest heard as he rolled his eyes to himself

Yes, seemed to roll them so far that they went back into his head. It had become harder for Tracyn to fathom his ideals and thoughts as time slowly started to fade into the background. This had become harder for him to find his thoughts.

There was going to be a lot more he didn't know what he wanted to do next at the moment. The sooner this was resolved? The sooner he could relax in peace. That waste was not something he wanted nor did he watch what was coming.

"Commander? I will be introducing you to someone before General Skywalker manages to get here. Someone whom I believe you've met sooner or later." Tracyn heard as he seemed to clear his throat.

"You mean more troopers?" Tracyn asked to which the man nodded at the second. "I'm glad to see more clones, they're always so cool to talk with," Tracyn stated before he tilted his head to the side.

"There will be more battles and more warriors who will need our help at the moment, young Padawan. Never forget that at the moment, never forget, and never stop holding them in your heart." Gest stated as he started to sigh to himself.

All too easy in his mind for a good ending to come to fruition at the moment. All too easy.

Author notes

Phew. Another chapter is done! I want to point out that the next chapter will be a bit longer and a bit more delayed. The next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show Tracyn meeting Ahsoka. I also wish to ease Tracyn into the Mandalorian culture. The next chapter will be 900-6500 words at the time and will be a bit delayed at the time. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
