A Different Way Down: A RWBY fanfiction, by NotScot
The Runaways
A/N: This is about the length the chapters will be from now on. Hope you like this one!
The sky was a clear blue, save for a few wisps of cloud in the distance. The afternoon sun was warm, but not uncomfortably so. A flock of gulls circled up above, reflected in the blue of the ocean below. Their distinctive calls mingled with the sound of the water, and with the constant sound of the engines as the ship cut a path through the waves.
Blake leaned against the railing as she stared out at the view. A casual onlooker would have thought she looked quite relaxed and carefree, but a more trained eye would have spotted the way her hands gripped the rail tighter than necessary, the way her posture seemed stiff like a coiled spring, and they would have realised that she was very far from being calm.
A noise from behind caused Blake to look over a shoulder with a start. Two small children, probably a brother and sister, were playing together out on the deck. The girl was laughing at something the boy had said, and they were both smiling.
Blake felt a small smile tug at the corners of her own mouth as she turned back to resume staring out at the horizon. Letting out a sigh, she loosened her grip on the rail and relaxed her shoulders.
This is nice. I should enjoy this while I can.
"Travelling alone?"
In an instant, Blake had spun on her heel and raised her hand to grip the handle of her weapon. However, she stopped short of actually drawing it when she saw who was talking to her.
"Now, now. No threat here," the ship's Captain said, holding up his hands in a reassuring manner. "I just wanted to chat."
Blake withdrew her hand from her weapon and turned back to the railing, resuming her position from before.
"About what?" Blake hadn't meant for that to sound so confrontational, but he had startled her. Her pulse was still racing slightly.
If the Captain was put off at all by her demeanour, he didn't show it. He walked a little closer and leaned on the railing beside her, giving her a sideways glance as he spoke.
"Well, it's just that there aren't many people who travel by sea all on their own. It can be a lonely trip. So I find that those who do tend to have some interesting stories to share."
Blake closed her eyes and did her best to reign in her annoyance.
He's just trying to be friendly. He's not trying to pry.
"I prefer to be alone," Blake said simply. "That's all it is."
Out of the corner of her eye, Blake saw the Captain raise an eyebrow at her response. He clearly didn't believe her.
"That may be so," he said at length. "But I think a few friendly faces wouldn't be a bad thing. You might feel a bit more at ease if you had someone to talk to." He gave her a small shrug. "It would help with your paranoia, at any rate."
Blake bristled at that. "Who says I'm paranoid?"
The Captain lifted one hand in a placating gesture. "Apologies, I didn't mean to insinuate anything." He stood back upright and began to walk away. "I'll leave you be."
Blake watched him as he made his way back towards the ship's bridge. Huffing in annoyance, she turned back towards the ocean.
Well, he may have a point. I clearly haven't been doing a good job of not being noticed if he felt the need to say something.
The ship had been at sea for two days so far, and Blake had spent almost all of that time alone in her cabin, only engaging in the bare minimum interaction with anybody else. She had planned to spend the whole trip doing just that, but boredom had set in very quickly, so she had decided to risk an hour above deck to help break up the monotony.
Evidently, her keeping to herself so much had made her stand out a bit more than she expected.
Sighing, Blake felt the tension leave her muscles and she slumped wearily against the railing.
Who am I even trying to hide from here? No-one on this ship knows who I am.
Blake reached into the pocket of her coat to retrieve her Scroll. Switching it on, she began to idly swipe through the apps that were on it, searching for something to occupy her time.
A sudden gust of wind caused the ends of her coat to flap behind her. Blake had been forced to discard her old combat gear after she left Vale. She couldn't exactly travel around in bloodstained clothes when she was trying to go unnoticed, so she had opted to… acquire something a bit less conspicuous. Blake now wore a simple black top and black leggings underneath a long white tailcoat. A purple belt was slung from her right shoulder, which served to keep her weapon strapped to her back.
She had felt a twinge of guilt as she took the items from the abandoned store. It had been some time since she had needed to steal anything.
Blake finally settled on an e-book she had saved to her Scroll. Opening it up to the first chapter, she moved towards one of the seats that were set up on the deck and settled down to begin reading.
A few minutes later, Blake lowered her Scroll and raised one hand to adjust her bow slightly. Her cat ears ached as usual from being strapped down against her scalp, but she couldn't take it off while she was-
…
A moment later, Blake sighed in relief as she pulled off the ribbon, letting her ears stand upright and free.
That's better. I don't need to keep wearing that any more. Not where I'm going.
Blake put the ribbon away in one of her other pockets.
Her fingers brushed against the pistol that was stowed away in her coat as she did so.
Clothes had not been the only things she had needed to take before she left. In her haste to get away from Adam, she had been forced to leave behind Gambol Shroud. Since she had been unable to risk going back for it after the Tower collapsed, Blake had no choice but to improvise.
The pistol had been taken from the body of an Atlas soldier, and the simple curved sword she had strapped to her back she had found in a wrecked nightclub. She had been very thankful to find that the red colour of the blade was spray paint, which she had washed off as soon as she could.
Blake picked her Scroll back up and resumed her reading, letting her many worries fade away as she did so.
The sun was beginning to sink below the horizon as Blake made her way back towards her cabin. The temperature was beginning to drop, and Blake was beginning to feel hungry.
I'll pass by the dining area on my way back and grab something to take with me for tonight. I wonder what will be-
A hand came down on Blake's shoulder and spun her around.
Blake withdrew the pistol from her pocket and aimed it at her assailant.
"Woah whoa whoa, Blake! Calm down, it's me!"
Blake's eyes went wide, and her arm dropped down to her side.
"Yang!?"
"And me! Don't forget yours truly!" Sun gave her a wave as he stood beside Yang in the corridor, sporting a wide grin om his face. "Surprise!"
Blake was at a loss for words. She stared at the two of them, mouth opening and closing as her brain scrambled to make sense of what was happening.
Finally, she said, "You're not supposed to be here!"
Yang did not look amused at that. "Hello to you, too," she deadpanned. "You might wanna put the gun away before anyone says anything."
Blake quickly shoved the pistol back inside her pocket, keeping a wary eye on both Yang and Sun as she did so.
Yang was wearing a new outfit, with a long coat like Blake's, albeit tan instead of white, with orange and yellow accents along its edges. Her shorts had been swapped out for long pants, although she still had that purple bandanna tied around her left knee, and her aviators were perched atop her bangs.
Sun, meanwhile, was still dressed the same as he always was, shirt open and all.
"Have you two been following me?" Blake asked, unable to keep the indignation out of her voice. "What are you doing here?"
Yang's frown lessened slightly. "Follow me and we'll tell you." She walked past Blake, making her way further inside.
Blake hesitated for a moment, but nonetheless followed after Yang as she led her towards the cabins, Sun likewise following close behind.
A minute later, the three of them filed into a cabin that Blake could only assume was Yang's. It was at the other end of the corridor from Blake's.
"Yeah, we followed you." Yang made her way over to the bed and sat down as she spoke to Blake. "And we waited until we were far away enough from land before doing anything, so you couldn't run out on us again." Yang folded her arms, her frown now back in full force.
"You just took off without saying anything," Sun added, closing the door behind him. "Not even a note."
Blake fidgeted where she stood, pinned between the gazes of the two of them. "I had to. You wouldn't understand."
Why did they have to follow me!? Why couldn't they just let me go!?
"No, I get it!" Sun said firmly. "The moment you left, I knew exactly what you were doing!"
Blake looked up at him. Did he really understand? Or was he just trying to make her feel better?
"You're going on a one-woman rampage against the White Fang!"
No, he didn't understand at all.
"What?" Blake said, a feeling of dread rising at his words. What kind of person did he think she was?
"You always felt like the White Fang was your fight." Sun barrelled on ahead with his explanation, not noticing how Blake's face fell as he spoke. "They show up, trash your school, hurt your friends, it makes perfect sense!"
"Sun, shut up." Yang sounded utterly exasperated. "You're not helping."
"But you don't have to do this alone!" Sun had either not heard her, or had chosen to ignore her. "It's an honourable approach, don't get me wrong, but you'll need someone to watch your back. So what d'you say?"
Blake just shook her head. "I can't believe you."
Sun look a bit taken aback. "Huh?"
"I'm not going anywhere near the White Fang! I don't want anything to do with them!" Blake ran her hands through her hair as she began pacing back and forth.
Go after the White Fang?
The image of Weiss impaled on Adam's sword once again resurfaced in Blake's mind, unbidden and unwelcome. Blake felt her stomach lurch, and clamped a hand over her mouth.
She did not want to throw up now, in front of both of them.
"Blake…"
And Yang was right there, sat in the same room. What was she thinking right now? What was going through Yang's head as she looked at Blake?
How can she even stand the sight of me after what happened?
Blake was startled out of her spiral when she felt herself being pulled into a tight embrace. She hadn't heard Yang get up.
"Y-Yang?" Blake stammered. "Wha-"
"Shh," hushed Yang. She began to rock slightly back and forth as she held Blake, her hand rubbing Blake's back in small circles. "Just take a minute, OK? You look like you're gonna be sick."
Blake tried to pull herself out of Yang's arms, but the blonde's grip on her was strong.
Blake wanted to be comforted. But as she remained in Yang's hug, all she felt was shame.
"Weiss…" Blake whispered shakily. "I-"
Suddenly, Blake felt the floor beneath her feet tilt drastically, and both she and Yang were thrown to the floor.
"Ow!" grunted Sun as he fell against the wall. "What was that?"
An alarm began to go off, and the ship shook again as something rammed into it.
"All passengers, please return to your cabins at once! This is not a drill!" The Captain's voice crackled out through the speakers of the ship's radio system. "I repeat, all passengers are to return to their cabins at once!"
Yang scrambled to her feet, pulling Blake up with her. The ship rocked yet again, but they were able to remain on their feet this time.
The speakers crackled to life again. "If there is anyone on board who is a Huntsman, could you please make your way towards the bridge at once? Your assistance is required." The Captain's words were calm, but his voice sounded anything but.
Yang moved her arms in a practiced motion, and her gauntlets deployed themselves around her forearms. Sun likewise drew his staff and extended it to its full length.
"Blake, you feel good enough to fight?" Yang asked, her brow creased with worry.
Blake drew her pistol with one hand and her sword with the other, pushing her nausea down as she did so.
"Let's go." Blake moved towards the door, and the three of them began to run towards the bridge.
Yang was angry with Blake for running away. She was upset that her partner and friend seemingly still didn't trust her enough to just tell her what was wrong. It hurt when she left. It brought back a lot of old feelings that Yang had tried her best to bury in the back of her mind.
So when Yang had boarded the ship with Sun after following Blake for several weeks, she had been fully prepared to let Blake feel the full brunt of her anger and betrayal after cornering her.
But she couldn't. Yang could see, plain as day, that Blake was in a very bad way. And Yang was not about to make things even worse by yelling at her, as much as she might have wanted to.
The boat was once again rocked by an impact as the trio rounded the last corner. Pulling ahead slightly, Yang burst through the doors and emerged onto the bridge, Blake and Sun following closely behind.
"Sir, we've never fought a Grimm this big before!" cried the First Mate, panic evident in her voice.
"We've never seen a Grimm this big before," replied the Captain. "But We'll give it a fight nonetheless!"
The bridge was in chaos, with the crew scrambling to figure out what to do. The Captain was at the wheel, clearly struggling to keep the ship level as the Grimm continued its assault.
Yang looked out the window, and her eyes widened as she took in the sight.
Yang had only ever seen this particular Grimm in a textbook at Beacon. Sure, she may not have paid too much attention in that particular class of Professor Port's, but she did recall a few details. They were details that had her feeling more than a little worried.
It was a Sea Feilong. Its enormous, serpentine body rose out of the water, towering high above everything as it roared loud enough to cause the glass of the windows to shake slightly. It's two short forearms bore sharp claws, and it's jaw was lined with rows of long teeth. It fixed its glowing yellow eyes upon the ship as it opened its mouth wide and unleashed a blast of electricity, striking the ship's hull and causing it to shake yet again.
"It keeps striking the same point!" One of the crewmates was peering out the window. "If we take any more hits there, the hull will breach! We'll sink!"
"Fire again!" ordered the Captain. "Drive the beast back from the hull!"
The sound of cannon fire echoed through the air. Yang watched as the Sea Feilong twisted its body to avoid being hit, unfurling a pair of large wings from its back. With a mighty flap, the Grimm took to the skies and began to circle the ship.
"Ready the heavy cannon!" The Captain spun the wheel, turning the ship to angle the damaged side of the hull away from the Grimm.
"So what's the plan?" Yang snapped out of her daze as she heard Sun ask the Captain.
The Captain's brow furrowed. "If we can just get a clear hit, the heavy cannon will take it down. If you can clip its wings and draw it towards the bow, we can take care of the rest!"
Sun turned to look at Blake, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "I mean, you're the one with the sword."
Yang saw Blake's jaw clench. "I'll need some help getting close enough." Her gaze shifted to the left, and Yang followed her eyes to see a rock formation in the distance. "Head for the rocks."
The Captain nodded, spinning the wheel and barking orders at the crew to open up the engines and give him full speed.
Yang ran over to one of the windows that was open. "I'll get its attention!" She leapt out onto the deck and cocked her gauntlets. With a shout, she punched upwards twice, sending two shots towards the Sea Feilong. One missed, but another hit the body of the Grimm. With a roar, it flapped its wings and began to dive downwards.
The ship sharply turned and pulled away. The Sea Feilong's dive attack missed as it plunged back under the surface, sending up a geyser of water. The spray soaked Yang from head to toe.
"Well, it definitely noticed you!" quipped Sun as he landed next to Yang. "So what's step two?"
Yang pushed some hair out of her eyes. "Once we get it to the rocks, we draw it down low enough for Blake to take out its wings."
The sound of someone landing beside her caused Yang to turn her head. Blake had landed to her left. She had put away her gun and was now holding a length of rope, one end of which was tied to the handle of her sword.
"Sun, your clones can grab stuff, right?" asked Blake as she tightened the other end of the rope around her arm.
Sun looked confused, but nodded nonetheless. "Well, yeah, but so can yours, right?"
"Just be ready on my signal," Blake snapped, running towards the front of the ship.
A part of Yang was telling her that Blake probably shouldn't be fighting right now. However, given the circumstances, Yang had to admit that Blake was the one best suited to the task at hand out of the three of them.
The rocks were getting closer.
ROAR!
So was the Grimm, which had re-emerged and resumed its pursuit.
Yang readied her gauntlets to fire off another volley. "Sun, go help Blake!"
"On it!" Sun folded up and stowed his weapon away as he ran to the front of the ship to stand with Blake.
Turning to face the Grimm, Yang fired off two more shots to lure it towards her side of the ship, away from the damaged portion of the hull.
If I remember right, it can't shoot those lightning bolts too many times in a row. But I can't remember how long it takes to recharge itself, so who knows when the next blast it gonna come?
The ship began to turn again, sailing parallel to the rocks now that they were close enough. Yang let loose another volley of shots, forcing the flying Grimm to swoop low to avoid the hits.
"Sun, now!"
Yang turned to see Blake and Sun both deploying their clones with their Semblances. There were now two Blakes standing side by side, flanked by two glowing yellow Suns, the real Sun standing off to the side with his palms pressed together.
At once, both Blakes and both Suns jumped up high in the air. The two Suns each grabbed a Blake and threw her even higher. As they reached the peak of their throw, one Blake grabbed the other and threw her again, sending her soaring upwards.
The three clones faded from existence as Blake fell with her arms spread wide. Yang watched as Blake spun and threw her sword towards the body of the Sea Feilong, which let out a load roar as the blade stuck in its back. With a sharp yank, Blake pulled herself down and landed on the Grimm. Moving quickly, she pulled her sword free and ran out along the length of its wing, slicing apart the membrane as she did so.
With its source of lift now gone, the Sea Feilong began to fall down towards the rocks.
"Yeah!" cried Sun, pumping a triumphant fist in the air.
Yang felt the urge to do likewise, until she saw the Grimm buck its body hard. Blake, who had been preparing to leap clear, was instead thrown upwards… towards its open mouth, which was beginning to fill with crackling yellow electricity!
Yang's eyes flashed red, and her hair ignited as she activated her Semblance. With a yell of rage, she fired her gauntlets behind her, sending herself flying towards Blake.
"Yang, no!" yelled Sun. "Stop!"
Yang paid him no mind as she flew through the air towards her partner. Her Semblance hadn't had much opportunity to absorb impacts in this battle. In fact, all it had absorbed so far was the recoil of her own weapons, but Yang had pushed that little bit of energy as hard as she could into her legs to give herself even the tiniest bit more lift.
It was just enough. Yang collided with Blake mid-air, wrapping her arms around her partner as they both flew clear of the Grimm's mouth, mere moments before it let loose with a blast of electricity. Yang felt her hair stand on end as the blast narrowly missed them.
The next moment, the two girls landed on the rocks hard, and both of their auras flickered at the impact. They held, but only just.
With a roar and a thud, the body of the now flightless Grimm landed beside them, the rock cracking under its weight.
Yang had no time to catch her breath. Through the ship's loudspeaker, the Captain yelled at them both to get clear.
"C'mon, Blake! We have to move!" Yang pulled her partner to her feet, and the two quickly put as much distance between themselves and the Grimm as possible.
A moment later, there was a loud noise, and the body of the Sea Feilong was obliterated by the heavy cannon.
"Thank-you all so much! You saved us all!" The Faunus man shook Blake's hand enthusiastically. She looked a bit uncomfortable , but Yang could also see a small smile on her face.
"Seriously, it was no big deal!" said Sun. "Just enjoy the rest of your trip and everything will be cool!"
Yang stayed where she was, leaning up against the wall and watching as the passengers and crew celebrated surviving the encounter, the sun beginning to set over the horizon. The Captain was the only one absent, having returned to the bridge shortly after offering his own thanks.
The ship was once again sailing towards its destination, albeit at a much more cautious pace owing to the damage it had sustained. Even so, they were apparently making good time, and according to the Captain would be arriving in a few days.
Having been told that, it suddenly occurred to Yang that she had no idea where they were actually going.
As the passengers began to disperse and return to their own cabins, Blake and Sun walked back over to Yang. Sun was still grinning, while Blake's face had fallen again.
"Blake, I-"
"Wait." Blake cut Yang off. "Let me explain first."
Yang frowned, but nodded nonetheless. Her questions could wait until after Blake had said what she wanted to say.
Who knows, maybe she'll answer me without me even needing to ask.
"I need to sort some things out," Blake began, her hands fidgeting as she spoke. "I'm going home, to Menagerie, to see my family."
"Then why not just tell us?" asked Sun. "Why not tell your team? Your friends?"
Blake looked down, not meeting either of their gazes. "I… it's better if I'm alone."
Yang felt her frustration rising again. "Blake, we've been through this already. You can't keep going off on your own! We care about you, we can help!"
"No you can't!" Blake's sudden yell caught Yang off guard, making her step back in surprise. "You shouldn't have come! Either of you! Why couldn't you just stay away!?"
"Is that what you want!?" Yang's own voice rose in volume along with her anger. "Is that what you really want, Blake!? You wanna be all alone all the time!?"
"You don't understand!" Blake's voice cracked slightly as she shouted.
"Then tell me the truth!" yelled Yang, grabbing Blake by the shoulders and forcing her to look her in the eye. "Just tell me, Blake! Tell me what's going on!"
"Yang, calm down!" Sun pushed himself in between Yang and Blake and forced them apart.
Yang was about to push Sun out of the way and grab Blake again, when she heard someone loudly clear their throat beside them.
"Not to get involved in other people's business," said the Captain. "But I would appreciate it if you three would settle down a little. We don't want to draw any more attention, now do we?"
Suddenly very conscious of the many stares they were attracting from everyone else on deck, Yang let out a huff and allowed Sun to push her back.
"Fine." Yang turned and began to walk away.
"Yang, wait!" Blake called after her.
Yang didn't stop walking. "When you feel like actually talking, Blake, you can come find me yourself. I'll be in my cabin."
As Yang continued walking away, she hoped that Blake would grab her and stop her.
She did not.
Yang slammed the door of her cabin behind her.
A moment later, tears began to spill from her eyes.
What am I doing wrong?
The camp was not especially large. There were only around half a dozen medium-sized tents, arranged around the stolen bulkhead in the camp's centre. A few fires were flickering away, with pots and skewers positioned above them as several individuals went about the process of preparing dinner for everyone else.
Hazel allowed himself to be led towards the largest tent, flanked by two White Fang soldiers who were pointing their weapons at him as they walked. The other soldiers in the camp, who were mostly not wearing their masks at the time, eyed him with a level of distrust that he had come to expect.
They certainly are a cautious bunch. Not that I can blame them.
The guard standing outside the tent held up a hand and told him to lift his arms. Hazel complied, allowing the guard to pat him down for weapons.
Once the guard was satisfied that Hazel was unarmed, he lifted the flap of the tent, and Hazel ducked underneath and entered.
"You are late."
Hazel was greeted not by Adam Taurus, but by a tall, muscular man with tattoos on one arm. Unlike most of the other Faunus in the camp, he was still wearing his mask.
"My apologies." Hazel inclined his head slightly. "I was delayed."
The Lieutenant turned to face Hazel and folded his arms. Hazel could not see the man's expression, but he could tell he was frowning at him. "My Lord does not appreciate his time being wasted."
Hazel folded his own arms, keeping his face neutral. "Where is your leader? I was under the impression that I would be speaking with him."
"You are speaking with me now, Rainart." The Lieutenant's response was curt. "My Lord has more important matters to attend to at this time."
Hazel did frown at that. "Your leader was the one who sent for me."
"If you truly wish to aid us, you will do as my Lord asks. And my Lord has decreed that I am to accompany you as you meet with Khan."
Hazel took a few purposeful steps forwards. "That was not what was discussed."
"Know your place, human!" shouted the guard behind Hazel. "Show some respect to-"
"Enough." The Lieutenant did not raise his voice, but his tone was enough to silence the guard at once. "Leave us."
The guard complied, and Hazel was left alone with the Lieutenant, who gestured towards a chair beside him. "Sit."
Hazel took the seat, and the Lieutenant sat opposite him.
"My Lord trusts you. Why, I cannot say. But I trust my Lord, therefore you also have my trust for now."
Hazel inclined his head once more. "I appreciate your honesty, Lieutenant. But you must understand that my own faction has its own agenda. And my own leader does not appreciate being taken by surprise."
"That," replied the Lieutenant. "Is none of my concern."
Hazel let out a sigh. This was going to be difficult. "We may not see eye to eye on all matters, but I think we can work together if we are open with one another."
The Lieutenant leaned forward in his seat. "Then answer this for me, Rainart. What do you fight for?"
Hazel blinked. "Why do you ask?"
"Because I like to know what sort of men I work with."
Hazel lifted his gaze and gave the question some thought. What answer should he give?
"A new world," he said after a few seconds. "A world without Huntsmen and Huntresses. Without academies and kingdoms and armies. Where no more children fight battles they'll never win at the behest of men who don't care how many lives they sacrifice."
Hazel looked back at the Lieutenant, who was watching him silently.
Slowly, the muscular Faunus lifted one hand and gripped his mask, removing it and setting it down beside him.
It took all of Hazel's self-control to keep his own eyes from widening when he saw the Lieutenant's.
"I can tell when I am being lied to, Rainart. And I can tell that your words are sincere." Rising from his seat, the Lieutenant held out his hand.
Hazel stood up himself and grasped the offered hand in a firm handshake. "So when do we leave?"
"Tomorrow," came the Lieutenant's reply as he replaced his mask over his face. "You should get some rest. You may eat with us if you wish, although I'm afraid I cannot offer you a tent."
"That's quite alright," Hazel assured him. "The sky in this part of the world is quite magnificent at night at this time of year."
"My Lord has departed for Menagerie," the Lieutenant continued. "He has some important.. personal matters to settle." He came to a stop and turned to face Hazel once more. "And since we will be working together for some time, you may call me by my name: Gainesboro."
As Hazel followed the Lieutenant outside, he made a mental note to inform Salem of this latest revelation he had stumbled across as soon as he was able.
The Lieutenant had only one eye.
A silver eye.
Author's Note:
(OK, make that three nails I've switched.)
Hello again! I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! (And to those of you who just found this story and binged all six chapters in one go, nice to meet you!)
Well, this is the beginning of the Menagerie Arc, which is going to go quite a bit differently in this story than it did in canon. You may already be getting some idea of what I have in mind, so I hope you're excited to see what happens next. I know I'm excited to see how you all react.
Next chapter, our trio arrives in Menagerie proper, and Yang and Sun are introduced to Mr and Mrs Belladonna. Here's a little preview:
Sun folded his arms and leaned against the wall. "So, what's the plan?"
Yang gave him a dark smile. "We get in the way, and we ruin everything."
A more dialogue-heavy chapter, but I promise that it'll be worthwhile. You can expect it to be uploaded next Friday.
Until next time,
NotScot.
P.S: If your curious, Gainesboro is a shade of grey. I chose it as the Lieutenant's name because it's the only colour I could find that's close to Gaston, who I have decided to view him as. From that, alongside the other revelation about him, see if you can guess what I have planned for him.
