Hastings, Minnesota

A young man was watching a man and woman walking down the hallway, from here he could see how attracted they were to one another.

"Cindy!" Max was so glad he was working late. "I thought you went home hours ago!" He smiled nervously at the beautiful blonde.

"I almost did, then I remembered the workmen were working at my apartment today." Cindy lied. The landlord sent his crew to fix her sink, but they were done hours ago. "I stayed behind to catch up for next week's meeting." She nervously tucks her hair behind her ear. "Working late?"

The cupid smiles as he follows them down the stairs. Once they stop by the exit, he slows down time as his ring glows.

"It's a match." He walks up to Cindy first, whispering in her ear. "You like Max, but you are afraid of heartbreak. Your whole life you been afraid of risks. But just this once, take it. Max, he's worth it." Even frozen he could almost see her smile. "Max, your divorce was rough, and you sense Cindy is holding back not to hurt you. But you know you'll never will. Assure her she is the one. Life is too short." Cupid disappears with his ring glowing.

Max was about to walk out the door when he felt his heart tug.

"Cindy?"

"Yeah?" Cindy's heart was beating fast.

"Would you like to grab a cup of coffee?"

"I like that."

Score! Max holds the door open for Cindy as they discuss where they were heading for their first date.

Cupid heads down the alley, trying to find those animals he was feeding earlier.

SLAM!

"Thought I find you here!" The cupid grunts as he was thrown against a dumpster.

"You." How? His attacker must have read his mind, he finished his sentence.

"Did I survive? Styx was a good prison, but since everyone left it was easy to walk, I mean swim out." He thrusts his fist inside Cupid's chest.

"Arrrghhh!" He screams. "My...My...Heart." Even with his immortality, he felt his heart breaking.

"Now you know how it feels to be heartbroken." He takes the ring out of his hand. "You, and everyone of your peers will undo everything you ever did." His own Ring glowed.

Cupid's eyes widened when he saw that Ring. Forgetting about his pain, he demanded a explanation.

"Where did you get that?" He gasped. That Ring was locked away for a reason.

"It was given to me as a gift." He squeezes his heart harder. "I will do everything to undo what you all did. Why have love when the world could have hate instead." He rips out his now human heart.

The last thing he saw was his murderer walking away, dropping his stolen ring on the ground.

A stray mutt whimpers over the dead cupid's body.

San Francisco, California

Paige flips through the channels bored out of her mind.

"Now stay tuned for our feature presentation."

The movie "Love Story" theme started playing.

Paige yawned as she changed the channel.

"Hey!" Phoebe grabs the remote back from Paige. "I was watching that!"

"You seen this movie a bazillion times! And own the DVD as well as the VHS!" She grabs the remote back and immediately changes it to a hockey game.

"But it's better with a audience!" Phoebe switches it back. "Jenna and Laura never seen it."

"Plus I need a good cry." Piper's leg was still in a cast, her cast wasn't coming off till the next day. "Besides Sam and Dean are away on a case." Melinda was sleeping in her crib in the living room. "Don't like it, find something find something else to do."

"Fine. I will." She needed to get out of the house. But not before lightly pinching Laura's cheeks. "Auntie Paige is going out for awhile. Don't fall asleep watching this snore fest."

"Shhh!" Piper scolded.

"Yeah yeah." Paige blew Melinda a kiss. "Have fun." She grabs her jacket and flounces out.

Damn it's cold! It was winter but the weather was unusually cold, especially in California. Paige wouldn't be surprised if she saw snow instead of rain. Getting into her car, she went to find excitement.

"And now here is the scores between San Jose and The Boston Bruins." The television flashes the score.

Paige yawned. She didn't care about who won, she didn't play or follow hockey. She thanked the waitress after she delivered her complimentary beer.

"If you want to find something more exciting, the nightclub down the street is holding a speed dating event." The sports bar was filled with men. She saw her bored expression.

"You saw me yawn huh?" Paige only came here whenever sports night was on. Ladies drank for free. Whenever Dean came to town he took his wife or Paige to score free drinks.

The waitress laughs.

"Don't blame you. I would have took the night off, but I need the money. Sports night tips big." She takes her receipt book and writes down and address. "Here. It's better than hockey, the guys there actually talks to women."

"Speed dating?" Paige's eyebrows rose. "What the hell." She was getting tired of being bored. "Thanks." Even though the beer was free, she tipped the waitress.

"Have fun!"

Paige left her car behind, the club wasn't very far. Plus was aware she had a few beers. She was wearing her casual clothes with minimal makeup, she didn't expect to do anything today.

After paying her entrance fee, she went to sit down at a nearby table. She was early, the club was starting to fill up with patrons. Soon she was getting set up with random men.

"You are a thief." Guy One says to Paige.

"Excuse me?" Paige was confused.

"The stars in your eyes, diamonds can never be too sparkly."

DING!

Paige smiles politely at the next guy.

"A, B, C. Combine all the letters of the alphabet and its U and I."

DING!

"Whoops! You didn't happen to get a pink and purple card did you?" The speed dating event allowed LGBT singles to join, they were given a special section just for them.

"No, but you are the first honest person I met." Paige smiles.

"Thanks. I'm Abby."

"Paige." They talked for a few minutes before the bell rang.

"A cop? Cool." She smiled at Paige. "I see someone who is more of my speed. No offence." Abby saw a blonde woman sitting alone in the corner.

"No problem. Just be careful, she is known as a shark." She saw Sheridan sitting alone. Guess she had a day off.

"Always loved being on the edge. Nice meeting you."

Paige smiles politely at the next guy who sat across from her.

"You look tired."

"You can tell huh?" Who would thought just sitting would be so tiring?

"Yeah. I only came here to show support to my brother." He points to a younger man talking to a another guy. "He just came out, and dragged me along so he won't be alone. Name's Mason."

"Paige." They shake hands. "So what do you do for a living?"

"I'm a social worker."

"Really? I used to be one. You know Bob Cowen?" He used to be Paige's boss back in her old job at South Bay Social Services.

"Yeah, he's my dad."

"Really."

"Is that a problem?"

"Guess not. It's not nepotism if you don't shit where you eat." Paige joked.

"Excuse me?"

"Nothing. Long day." Hearing the bell ring, she smiled at Mason. "You like hockey?"

"Love it. I heard the Bruins are on their way to the Stanley Cup."

"Not unless San Jose has something to do with it." She gets up with Mason. "Let me treat you to a beer."

The bar waitress smiles as she sees Paige and her new date walk in. She still had it. She puts her bow and arrows away.

Two hours later Paige and Mason were pulling off each other's clothes.

"Are we going too fast?" Mason lifts Paige on the table in the janitor's closet.

"Armageddon is on its way. Screw it." Paige tugs off his shirt. "Got protection?" She sighs as he kisses her neck.

"Always." He carefully rips off the condom wrapper. "You are so beautiful."

"Thanks." She takes off her bra. "Now shut up and get over here."

Gail thanks her boss as she leaves the bar. She made a killing tonight, she had enough to pay for her vessel's rent and have enough money left over to give to the animal shelter. She was about to fly away when she felt a familiar presence.

"You. How?" She stared at the former human. "You were beheaded."

Medusa didn't say a word. With her eyes glowing she petrified Gail.

The former cupid stood frozen in a dark alley as a stone statue.

"Phew." Paige silently opens the door hoping everyone was deep asleep. She jumped hearing a voice.

"You're back late." Phoebe was sipping a cup of hot chocolate.

"And you're up late." Paige retorted back. "Enjoy your movie?"

"Yeah, we used up all our tissues. How was your day? Or night?"

"It was fine." Paige was exhausted.

"Uh huh. Use protection?" She was hiding her smile behind her cup.

"Night Phoebe." She needed rest.

A Few Days Later

"Nice flowers!" Sam sure went all out. "When is Moose coming home?" Piper was arranging a huge bouquet of flowers.

"A few days." Piper was happily standing up, her leg was finally out of that cast.

"Where's Jen?"

"Out with Phoebe." Piper let go of the flowers satisfied that it was a good as it got. "Jenna was going stir crazy."

When Sam called about Abaddon, Paige immediately sent Piper, Jenna and their two kids away to San Francisco. They all knew how to fight, but without the Power of Three they had no idea how to stop Abaddon. Piper couldn't fight, with a broken leg, and with a new baby she wasn't ready. And Phoebe was out of town at Elise's funeral. Both told Jenna to stay in the Manor, even as a trained hunter, no way could they face a Knight of Hell. She wasn't happy to be cooped up, but they had no choice. Laura was just a baby.

"They'll be fine!" Piper saw Paige's face. "Laura is upstairs with Mel, if anything goes wrong, I'll know." Piper was humming. "So I heard you had a late night. Want to talk about it?" She gave Paige a knowing smile.

Paige puts her hands on her hips.

"Can't a girl get any privacy around here!" Hearing a doorbell ringing, she let out a sigh of relief when Piper walked away to answer it. Her relief was short lived when Piper called her over.

"Paige! It's for you!"

When Paige came to the door she was surprised to see who was on the other side.

"Mason." She blushed when she saw what he was holding. "Is that for me?" Mason was holding a single orange rose.

"Red roses were sold out. Besides orange looks good on you." Paige was wearing a orange shirt the day they met. He smiled a shy smile at Paige. "My dad told me where you lived.''

"Hi. I'm Piper." Piper held her hand out. "Paige?" She was giving Paige a questioning look. No one was supposed to know where they lived unless they invited someone.

"He's my former boss' son. Mason, Piper. Piper. Mason."

"Uh..." Paige had so many jobs, Piper was lost.

"South Bay Social Services. You met Bob." He was her former supervisor.

"Ohhhh! I met your father once. Nice guy." Hearing her baby crying, she excuses herself. "Nice to meet you. If you excuse me. My baby and niece need me." Once she was gone, Paige invites Mason inside.

"Would you like to come inside for a coffee?" She was smelling the rose.

"I'll like that." He shivers as he takes off his coat. "Sure is cold. Phew."

"Yes it is." Paige smiles as she lets him in. "So, how's things?" Paige didn't mind one night stands, but rarely saw the guy again. She didn't know what to say.

"Fine." He clears his throat. "Um. Last night. Hell of a game huh." It was close. Game went for four overtimes.

"Yeah." Paige had so many beers she couldn't remember who won. She was too busy laughing at Mason's jokes. Even drunk, she remembered how much fun she had. They had to buy more condoms from the men's washrooms. "Beers were good." She smiled nervously at him.

"Yeah." He was staring at the floor. "I'll be honest with you. I know we just met, but I was wondering if you want to have dinner with me? I know a great Italian restaurant."

"Sure. I love Italian food." Paige wasn't picky. "Is six okay?"

"Yeah. I'll pick you up." He nervously hands her a set of car keys. "I drove your car home."

"Thanks." Paige was wondering how she got home. She was too drunk to drive. Then she remembered Mason and her sharing a cab. "How about I meet you there instead." She could orb.

"Sounds good. See you at six. I'll text you the address."

Once he left, Paige hums as she puts her rose in water.

"We're home!" Phoebe and Jenna walk in with shopping bags. "Sure it's cold out there!" Phoebe was shivering.

"Pheh. It's not that bad. This is nothing." Jenna wasn't bothered at all. "The East Coast and the Midwest are way snowier. Boston, when it rains, it's considered mild. In Kansas it means a longer harvest. At least what Dean claims. She takes off her coat. "I'm gonna check on Laura, Paige, tell me about that cutie that just left." She laughs when Paige throws up her hands.

"Can't a girl get any privacy around here!"

Downtown a cupid smiles as he watches his latest assignment.

"I think I just fell for you." The woman was being held up by a cute guy. She was so glad she tried out her new skates.

"And I'll catch you anytime." The baker's cake was smushed on the sidewalk, but he didn't care.

The cupid was about to fly away until he found himself getting dragged down an alley. When he saw who grabbed him, he started apologizing.

"Look, it wasn't my idea. We fought against it for centuries!" The cherubs were responsible for love, but The First War was long and bloody. The cherubs were forced to fight when the garrisons were getting wiped out. To keep Mankind going, the angel Eros suggested they get human agents. But knowing how stubborn and free willed humans were, they suggested they take the souls of deceased young babies and toddlers and train them as cupid agents instead. Naturally the cherubs protested, they were innocent themselves, and weren't comfortable working side by side with babies. Especially Evangeline, she was the protector of children. "We no longer use humans!"

"Too little too late." The cupid didn't have time to scream as he felt his heart getting broken. Even as an angel, the Ring on his murderer's hand was too powerful. He carefully sets the body on the ground. "You will all pay." He needed to break up the couples the cupids set up. Especially the witch and hunter.

Paige was trying so hard not to roll her eyes. Even with Laura babbling her baby talk, and Melinda getting fed with a bottle, she could hear Piper upstairs giggling hard.

"Sam!" Giggle.

"Ew." She turns on the radio.

"Police just released a statement. A John Doe was just discovered downtown. If there is any information, please call the SFPD."

"A murder? Could be demonic." Paige doubted it, other than Abaddon, the demonic scene was quiet. Piper was grateful, she said she was close to finding the demons responsible for her broken leg and Melinda's kidnapping. "Jen?"

"Mmm?" She was on her laptop trying to help Dean track down Henry who he believed to have a key.

"You mind watching Mel?" Phoebe was in class, otherwise she'll be happily babysitting.

"Sure." Jenna was determined to help Dean, she wanted nothing more than to have him home for good. He swore he was done after this, he just needed to find Henry.

"Thanks." She had a few hours before her date, she could see things for herself.

Wearing her cadet uniform, she walks underneath the police tape. The body was gone, but she needed to check out the scene.

"Matthews, you know you're not supposed to be here." Detective Ballard scolded. "If Sheridan finds out."

"Think of this as my lab work." She bluffed. She did know cadets checked out crime scenes, but cases were very rare. Most cadets were signed to mundane work, like taking criminal's fingerprints and shadowing traffic officers.

"How am I supposed to be a good cop if I don't check out anything? So what did I miss?"

The detective points at the large blood scene.

"Body was discovered by a homeless man. Murder was brutal, his heart was crushed with excessive force."

"Hammer?" Paige was writing things down with her notebook.

"No. The same witness claims the guy was punched right through." The detective's face was cool, but Paige could hear the grimness. "The hole was too big to be a hammer, but we believe the killer took the weapon with him."

"I see. Can you tell me where John Doe is at?"

Paige was at the morgue less than an hour later. The coroner was leading Paige to the freezers.

"You're lucky that we didn't start the autopsy. But I believe we can determine the cause of death." He opens the freezer door and slides out the body. Once he took off the sheet, Paige couldn't believe it.

"Who would do this?" Even dead, she could see the broken wings. This 'man' was a cherub.

"Wish I knew." The dead cupid had a fist sized hole in his chest. "Heart was crushed, we believe the weapon used had sharp clamps."

"Or a fist." Definitely demonic. Piper was gonna freak.

"The weapon used was probably small." He covers John Doe back up. "When do you graduate?" The cadet's uniform was different from the rookie's.

"A few weeks." Paige was nervous as heck. She already had her motorcycle license, as well as her firearm license. She couldn't believe she was finally going to be a cop.

"Congratulations. Make sure you write this down in your paperwork."

"I will. Thanks." Paige had to warn her sisters. She was only a whitelighter, but she could hear the cries of help from angel radio. She became a whitelighter again, but thanks to Lily, her angelic side was becoming stronger than her witchy side. Once she was out of sight, she orbs away.

Piper and Jenna were talking in the kitchen when Paige orbed in.

"Good you're here." Piper was making homemade baby food. "Laura is hungry, and Jen is showing me how to make her baby recipe."

"My mom always fed us organic baby food when we were young." She looked at Paige. "I thought it was your day off?"

Piper raised her eyebrows seeing Paige's uniform.

"Jen, do you mind leaving us for a minute."

"Sure." Jenna hated to be left out, but she was a hunter, not a witch.

Once she was gone, Paige filled Piper in.

"A cupid? You sure?" Her cooking forgotten, Piper demanded an explanation. "And you say he was human."

"Yep." Even with a angel death, it was usually clean. "Heart was crushed. Whoever did this knew exactly what they were doing."

"We have to investigate." Piper took off her apron.

"What about Jen and the kids?" They been here for weeks. Piper was still sore, but thanks to Ava, she had no permanent injuries. Her clan were famous for their healing balm.

"If there is a demon, they can lead us to Mel's kidnappers." She went to the cupboard and pulled out their strongest ingredients. "Tell me everything."

Phoebe knew this was it. There was no coming back. She looked back at her charges.

"You keep going, keep fighting." Her kids, she had no choice. "Protect them." Phoebe wouldn't trust anyone else. She hugged the woman next to her. "You take care of them. You, Mel. Don't ever give up. I love you." Phoebe and her assistant cry in each other's arms. "Stay safe. Bye kids." She couldn't stop the tears from flowing. "Remember, Paradise." It was the middle of War, but Phoebe still had hope. Once she saw the van drive away, she hardened her heart and went inside. She'll gladly give up her life to save everyone else. For the Greater Good.

Phoebe yawned as she sipped her coffee. Her next few assignments were all due soon, and she barely started any of them.

"You too?"

"Yep." Phoebe was staring at her forms. Since she was close to graduating, she was currently trying to pick where to go for her residency.

"New York has one of the best hospitals in the country." Macy suggested. She wasn't in psychology, but was interested in being a surgeon.

"True, but it is also highly competitive." Phoebe thought about it. There was Seattle and Boston, both had great internships there. But thinking about her sisters, she wondered if she should stay close to home. Maybe Kansas? Piper and her family lived there, same with Jenna's. Seeing the time, she excuses herself. "Gotta head back. I'll see you later." She was about to head out when she ran into someone.

"Oof! Sorry."

"It was my-" When Phoebe looked up, she started smiling. "Coop." Instantly her heart started beating faster. "What are you doing here?"

Coop was blushing back.

"I'm on assignment." He held up his ring. "I'm Cupid, remember?"

"Oh. Right." Phoebe almost forgot. "Who's the lucky couple?"

"You." Coop's face was red when Phoebe's eyebrows raised.

"Excuse me?"

Coop touched his ring. Instantly the room froze.

"I actually can't set up anyone at the moment. I have to do some healing first." God this was embarrassing. "My superiors, they say that time has to speed up."

"Huh?" Phoebe was confused.

"It's hard to explain. It's better that I show you. Would you mind?" Before Phoebe could protest, Coop and her flew away.

"So the guy was found here." Piper froze the crime scene, allowing Paige to orb in. "I thought angels were invisible. Other than their vessels." Piper saw the blood stains. "Who would do this?"

"That's what I like to know." Paige grimaced hearing a tingle. "Not again."

"Upstairs?" Piper said sympathetically.

"Even with the Elders gone, the ringing never ends." She and Piper orb away.

"Why are we here?" They were in a alley behind a bar. "Paige?"

"I think this was a cry for help." Paige was staring at a statue. "This is the waitress that served me last night."

"The Titans?" She remembered that time Paige was frozen solid.

"I have no idea." Paige was looking her over. "We can't leave her here." There were vandals around.

"Guess we can take her back to the Manor. But who would do this?"

Max was carrying a bouquet of red roses. It was only their second date, but he wanted Cindy to feel special. Cindy was sitting at a table, she wanted to ask if he'll join her to a jazz club that evening. What neither saw was a dark entity slowing down time.

"How sweet red roses. Max. Cindy is nothing but a gold digger. Why are you getting her roses? She could have asked for cheaper flowers. Cindy. Max is just using you to get back at his ex-wife, he doesn't give a damn about you." He smirks as his ring turns green. Once time moved again, both Max and Cindy started arguing.

"Really? Roses? You know how much those cost?!" Max angrily throws them onto Cindy's lap.

"Don't you dare! I'm not going to be your revenge. You want to get back at your ex, leave me out of it!" Cindy threw the roses on the ground as she storms off.

The fallen cupid laughs as the ex-couple storms off. When he heard a crash, he smiles seeing Max's crumpled body lying on the road. Cindy didn't bother turning around. He had a long way to go, but he had a few hours to kill. He turns his ring to summon Medusa.

"You don't want to be here. You want your revenge? Get rid of those cupids." He ordered. When she disappeared, he went to the city courier, Piper needed to see some pictures and video.

Cupids Temple, Heaven

"Whoa. Where are we?" She looked around at the clouds. "It's so beautiful here." She seen the Whitelighter Temple, but this was breathtaking. "Is that a...?" She swore she seen a naked baby flying by.

"Cupid's Temple." Coop was overwhelmed when he first got here. He and a few others were trained right away. He waved to a browned skinned woman. "Kama! I bought Phoebe."

Kama smiles warmly at Phoebe.

"Welcome. Sorry I wish we could talk longer, but we are in a middle of a crisis."

"What is it?" She looked up and saw a flying harp going by.

"You."

"Excuse me? Coop? The hell are you talking about?"

"You need to fight." Kama says bluntly.

"Duh. I been working out and studying everyday. I keep getting the nightmares." She didn't tell them there were also dreams. Beautiful ones, like the Paradise she saw. Phoebe cried when she woke up, waking up was like going to Hell. "My magic powers are exercised everyday, as well as my potion making. Believe me. None of us are slacking off."

Kama shook her head.

"I'm afraid that's not what I meant." She pointed at Coop. "Show her."

"Hey!" She stomped her foot. "I'm not going anywhere without a explanation!" She tapped her foot and crossed her arms.

"You dream of Death and Destruction, but also Life and Rebirth." Kama tells her, while she dips her hand inside the pink fountain.

"Yeah, what's the point?" Phoebe was looking around, she refused to look at Coop.

"You dream about a girl?"

"I saw many children. I helped guard them." Phoebe remembered her last nightmare, she died fighting. The young woman she was with earlier was crying over her dead body.

"Was one of them yours. Personally?" Hearing Kama's words, Phoebe looked up.

"Is that still possible? Wouldn't that be personal gain?" Phoebe wondered about it. It wouldn't be fair to her small children to grow up in a empty world.

"First, we need to cleanse your heart." Coop held out his hand. "Please. The faster we do this, the faster you can get back to studying." They flew away before Phoebe could protest.

"That didn't work." Paige threw her latest potion at the frozen woman.

"I don't know what else to tell you love, I used most of my luck on her." The leprechaun said regretfully. Above him a small fairie nodded. "Was she cursed? If she isn't human, this would be a lot harder to free her."

"Wish I knew." Paige took a longer look at the statue. Inside she could feel the magical energy. "This feels, angelic?" Instantly she remembered the dead cupid. " I think this is a cupid." Paige should have known. She went to that bar often and never saw that waitress before. A speed dating event? Figures.

"We save innocents. Not divinity." Piper stared at the frozen cupid. "Who would do this?"

"Beats me." Paige was just thinking when she heard her phone ring. "Oh crap! I totally forgot about Mason!" They were supposed to have dinner.

"Go. I'll keep an eye on things. If anything happens Jen is here." She looks around. "Where's Phoebe?"

"It's the end of the school year, she's most likely studying." Phoebe was in her final year.

"Right. Because she'll usually be here happily babysitting." Phoebe loved both her nieces equally.

"Where are we?" Phoebe was looking around. "You took me back home? Good. I want to give my nieces a kiss before I go back to class." Just as she was about to pop out from the archway, Coop pulled her back in. "Hey!"

"Shh!"

"Right! Laura and Mel are probably napping. I don't want to face Piper's wrath." Jenna wasn't too bad, but she didn't like anyone bothering her baby whenever she was around. "I'll just check up on them then." Just as she was about to pop out again, Coop pulls her back again. "Do you mind!" Just as Coop was about to cover her mouth, Phoebe heard a familiar voice.

"Piper! Tell your sister Prue called and said she can't drop her off at the movies!"

"Okay!"

"Excuse me?" It couldn't be. Phoebe peeked out to see her grandmother walking by the staircase. "When am I?" She recognized the old furniture.

"This is the time you had your first date." Coop whispered. They watched as a young Phoebe running down the stairs wearing Prue's favourite dress.

"Sweetie, you look incredible." Grams was looking at Phoebe in admiration. "But why are you so dressed up? It's just your friends."

"I remember this." Phoebe was around fourteen. "Ken Laren. He was my first love." This was the time she had her first boyfriend. "Why are you showing me this?" They were careful not to be seen, they didn't want to change the future.

"You'll see." Coop touches his ring. "Whoops. Too far." They watch in awkwardness as Pearl and Anton were making out.

"God." Phoebe wanted to hide. They were literally about go third base. She covers Coop's eyes. "Pearl was evil." Still, she remembered how 'hot' Anton was. His seduction. "What's this about?"

"You forgot how to relax and have fun." He takes her to the Manor again. When Phoebe saw where they were, she couldn't help but tear up.

"How is he?" Her and Drake were saying their last goodbyes. They only dated a brief amount of time, but fell in love. Drake, a ex-demon made a deal with a Soul Trader to be human again for a few months.

"Last I heard was watching Lincoln's speech about Free Will." They were watching silently as they were saying goodbye to one another. "You gave love a chance, because you knew it wouldn't last."

"A expiry date?" She hit Coop. "That's pessimistic." Phoebe silently waved goodbye as Drake walked out the door. "Why are you showing me this?"

"To try again. Come on." They disappear. When they headed up to a college campus, Phoebe sagged when she saw who her past self ran into.

"You know this ended badly huh." Their 'chance' meeting it was all a lie. "Cole used me." It was all a ruse.

"But you loved him."

"I did." They watch as young Phoebe flirts with Cole. "All my relationships ended badly."

"Not all of them." Coop looks fondly at Phoebe. Too bad she was looking the other way. "Let's go. I'm sure there is a happy memory somehow."

Paige hoped her makeup and hair was decent, she did a rush job. Once she asked the hostess where Mason was, she taps him on the shoulder.

"Hi. I'm so sorry. Family emergency." Paige barely had time to change, she grabbed the first dress she had out of her closet. "Did you order yet?"

"No, I was just checking my phone. Want to order drinks?"

Paige and Mason were eating dinner when she saw her sister walking in looking around.

"Now what?'' She silently groaned as Piper waved to her.

"You want desert? I can wave down the waiter." Mason suggested.

''Excuse me. Need to powder my nose." She follows Piper to the entrance way. "Please tell me nothing is going wrong."

"Remember that frozen cupid? It isn't just angels getting affected.'' Piper drags Paige out.

"What the?" Everywhere she looked, people were fighting everywhere. "What's going on?" She saw a woman throwing her diamond ring down a sewer.

"That's what I like to know." They watch as two women scream at one another. "You said a cupid was killed? What is the opposite of love?"

"It's a fine line." Phoebe would have a field day with this. "We have to stop this before love goes extinct." She looks around. "Where's Phoebe?"

"I have no idea." Piper shook her head. "We need to leave."

"Let me say goodbye to Mason first." Can she ever catch a break? 'Phoebe owes me.' She was a psych expert, she could solve all this in five minutes. She just hoped Mason still talked to her afterwards.

"This is your grand finale?" Phoebe scoffed, but she was smiling at the scene. Her past self was being given a glass slipper by Coop. "If you wanted a date, you could have asked." Prince Charming, aka Coop and Princess Phoebe were walking away. "What's this about?"

"To make sure that you don't forget about love." Coop takes her back to the Cupid's Temple. "You are so busy worrying about the future, you forgot about yourself." He used his ring to break her 'barrier.'

"What was that?" Phoebe felt warmness.

"Your heart is open again. Now it's time for you to find love."

Love huh?

"You know anyone?"

"There is a up and coming fashion designer. And before you ask, he's straight."

"A fashion designer? What the hell." It's been months since she had a date. "Mind showing me around? I never seen Cupid's temple before."

"Ahh!" Piper ducked as a shoe flies by her head. "Okay, we need to leave." The romance festival was in the middle of a riot. Piper froze the street so she and Paige could leave. When they saw a man looking confused, she taps Paige.

"I see him. Hey!"

Dafydd, seeing the sisters ran. He heard of the Charmed Ones, it was him that set up Patty and Victor. Their birth was meant to be. He had nothing to do with Patty's affair with her whitelighter, back then it was forbidden for whitelighters to fall in love with their charges. He turned the corner and was immediately grabbed by Kama.

"You." Dafydd glares resentfully at her. "This is all your fault." Martha, the only woman he truly loved, died by suicide when she and him were split up.

"That was a mistake. You know this." Martha was meant to fall in love with another man, Heaven's Cupids ordered Dafydd to use his ring to open her heart to the banker. What they didn't expect was him using the ring on himself, making her fall unnaturally in love with him. They weren't meant to be, since their love was unnatural. Because Dafydd used magic, Martha became obsessed and paranoid. Of course Dafydd didn't mind, he never been in love before, and didn't mind the attention. Their love didn't last though, once Heaven found out what happened, they stripped Dafydd of his powers and banished him to Hades for eternity. Poor Martha was so broken up about losing her love, she threw herself over the San Francisco Bridge.

"It would have, if Heaven gave me a chance." Dafydd knew it was unnatural, but when he saw Martha he knew she was the one. He was willing to strip himself from his immortality and reverse his spell so Martha would get the know him naturally, but he was taken away before that could happen. He glared at her. "Why are you defending them? The Elders enslaved us. Heaven's Cupids never wanted us, the don't like enslaving human souls! Never mind infants and toddlers." He saw her face. "You were one of the earliest. Why didn't you retire?"

"It's complicated." Kama died in childbirth, back then in her time infant mortality was high. "That's not the point. You broke the rules. Using magic for selfish gain, there are consequences."

"Uh huh." Using his ring, he froze Kama. Since his ring was used to create the rings, Kama's ring was useless against his. He leaves her still, her watching as he vanishes.

'Someone help!' She screamed. She was used to being alone, but knew if he wasn't stopped, hate will rule the world. When she saw the Charmed Ones rounding the corner, she screams at them to help.

"Where did he go?" He was right in front of them. Piper saw the frozen woman, but didn't think much of it. Her powers were still active, everyone on the street was frozen.

'Help!'

"You hear that?" The ringing. "Ow."

"Hear what?'' Piper knew they needed to leave soon, the street was going to unfreeze any minute.

'Over here!'

"I hear a innocent." Paige looks at the woman. She was frozen with everyone else, but her eyes were staring at them. "Piper, unfreeze her."

"You sure?" Piper saw her eyes, she was pleading for help. Once she unfroze the woman, she looked gratefully at them.

"Thank god. You need to stop him."

"Before we do, who are you?" Piper was suspicious. Thankfully Jenna was home, she was watching both babies. Both sisters Fort Knoxed the house with every spell and crystal they had to keep everyone safe.

"Kama. I'm a Cupid."

"Great. Paige?"

"Does it have to do with everyone fighting on the street?" The street unfroze a few seconds after Kama did. Everyone was still fighting.

"Yes. You must stop Dafydd. If he breaks up the couples in town, he'll succeed in destroying love. You must not let that happen."

"Ahh!" All three ducked when a molotov cocktail got thrown in the alley.

"We'll get you somewhere safe." All three shimmer away.

"Where are we?" Coop and her were standing in a office hallway.

"Sunny LA. Your love, he is here." Coop walked her over to the elevator.

"An elevator? Don't we need a pass?" Looking around, she found out where she was. "This is Moda Magazine." Phoebe read this religiously back in high school. "I'm supposed to meet him here?"

"I wouldn't have sent you here if you weren't meant to be." Once the elevator's doors opened, he shoves her in. "Good luck!"

Phoebe didn't have time to react when she literally got shoved onto a cute guy.

"Excuse me! I'm so sorry!" Why did she pick today to wear her new boots? When she looked up her heart started fluttering. The guy was looking down at her with amusement.

"It's okay. You new?" He didn't recognize her.

"It's my first day." Phoebe lied.

"Well, I'm pleased to meet you. I'm Michael."

"Phoebe." She was blushing. The guy was cute, blonde hair with a cute smile. When he coughed, Phoebe realized she was still holding him. Her face red, she backed away. "Sorry."

"No worries." He chuckled. She was cute. "I'm heading out, mind joining me for a cup of coffee? There's a great coffee place in the lobby."

"I love too. I, I mean. I really like that." Phoebe wanted to kick herself.

Coop watches sadly as they walk away talking. His ring was glowing, which meant the arrow was struck.

'I wish you nothing but the best of happiness.' He saw two women walking across the street, he had another couple to fix up.

Back in the Manor, Kama was filling Paige and Jenna in.

"So you and all other cupids set everyone up?" Jenna had mixed feelings about that. "Isn't using magic cheating?" Piper was upstairs feeding Melinda, Laura was in the kitchen eating her dinner of mashed carrots.

"It's been going on forever. You and Dean were meant to be. If the attraction wasn't already there, the arrow would have bounced off." Kama wasn't the one to strike the arrow. "It's true love." Kama was glad Dean opened his heart, the other women in his life were willing, but Dean was scared of being abandoned like his mom and blew most of them off. Other than Jenna, only Cassie and Lisa were the closest to opening his heart.

"And myself?" Paige was curious.

"Let's see. There was Phillip, your high school sweetheart, Dave, Shane, Glenn, Dave again, Charles, Trevor, Nate, Richard..."

"Okay. Okay." Paige saw Jenna watching her with amusement. "You know I wasn't in love with all of them." Paige cared about all of them, some more than others, like Charles and Richard.

"But the possibility was there."

"Yeah, but some fell apart." Paige was wondering who she was meant to be with. When she looked up, she swore. "Oh crap!" Mason. "I totally stood up my date." Great. It was after ten.

"Just tell him family emergency." Jenna picks up Laura who was done eating. "I'm taking Laura to bed. Have a good night!"

"Night!" Her and Kama were making a vanquishing potion. "Will this work on a ex-cupid?"

"It should. But with that ring, he's practically invisible." Kama never been to Earth in centuries. "This won't be enough to stop him. You have to undo every couple he broke up."

"Great. Have a list?"

Paige yawned in exhaustion. Her and Kama stayed up all night tracking down everyone. Piper couldn't come, Melinda was colicky all night and kept Laura up with her crying. With two babies crying, both Jenna and Piper were dead tired. Paige wondered where Phoebe was, but knowing how hard med school was, figured she was studying all night at the school library. Both her and Piper agreed it was best that she leave her alone, her midterms were coming up.

"Why are we here?" They were in a hospital. "Don't tell me a doctor and nurse fall in love." What a cliche. Seeing snow, she asked where they were.

"Minnesota."

"You brought me here, why?" They were inside, but already Paige was shivering.

"You need to talk to her." They saw a woman walking in.

"Who is she?"

"The first couple that Dafydd broke up." Cindy was looking around. "As you can see, she is searching for something or someone."

"I thought Dafydd broke them up?" Poor Cindy was looking lost.

"If two soulmates are meant to be, then they'll find each other. True love, not even hate and jealousy could destroy them. All we did was give them keys to each other's hearts."

"Oh brother." Paige almost rolled her eyes. "What am I supposed to do?"

"Just talk."

"Talk? About what?"

"Just remind her about Max. Pretend you are talking to yourself, or Phoebe. Remind her about love."

"Great." Once Kama disappeared, she walks up to Cindy. "Hi, Cindy?"

"Do I know you?"

"We never met. I'm here on Max's behalf." Paige saw her face.

"He was the one that didn't look where he was going." Cindy grimaced hearing the thump the other day, she saw the video later that night on the news. "I gotta go." She wondered why she came here.

"Wait! Max. He's here isn't he? Otherwise you wouldn't have come here."

"I don't know. It was like I was called to." Cindy must have tossed and turned all night thinking about their argument. She looked around. "Is Max okay?"

"Maybe we should talk to the nurses about that."

Twenty minutes later, Paige smiles as both Max and Cindy talk. Thankfully Max's injuries weren't too serious, other than a sprained knee, he was alright. He and Cindy were apologizing to one another.

"One down, twenty six more couples to go." Paige needed strong coffee.

"I'll get it!" Jenna was sipping a cup of coffee. "Hi."

"Sign here." The mailman hands her his board. Once Jenna signed it, he told her to have a nice day.

"You too." Seeing the name on the envelope, she hands it to Piper who was nursing a large coffee. "Mail call!" Once Piper takes the envelope, Jenna goes upstairs to take a much needed nap.

When Piper opened the envelope, her eyes widened.

Sam was so dead.

Dafydd smirks seeing a couple. The man and woman were a new fix up, he couldn't wait to break them up. When he was about to turn his ring, he gasped in pain feeling a spell.

"Kama." He collapsed in agony feeeling more magic drain out of him. His spells were getting undone. Every couple he broke up was getting back together. Damn it. Bitch was hiding, with that ring he knew where she was. But the magic in the Manor was too strong. He had to draw her to him, make her and everyone pay.

"Phew. I need a nap." Paige orbed in, and was about to take a nap when she heard yelling. "Jenna? What's going...?"

"Shhh!" Jenna hissed. She was standing by the wall listening to Piper's yells.

"You didn't bother telling me? How long has this been going on? Don't give me that!"

"Jen?" When Jenna handed her a picture, Paige's eyes widened. "There's no way I can fix this." This was bigger than a simple misunderstanding. "How long ago was this?" Sam was with another woman in a compromising position.

"I don't know. There's more than one. There's a video included." Jenna only saw a few seconds, but knew Piper was devastated.

"Ohhh." Paige needed to fix this, ASAP.

"Where are you going?"

"To save love." She just hoped Piper didn't blow her up.

Piper slammed down the phone. She was too angry to cry. Seeing Paige, she demanded if that asshole was vanquished.

"Not yet." Paige never saw Piper so angry.

"Good. I'm going to blow him up piece by piece. Then deal with Sam." She was itching to blow up something.

"Piper. Please. Think about Mel." Hearing her name, Piper stopped pacing.

"Sam cheated. And never bothered telling me. Did you know? Because Dean did." Piper started crying.

"Oh Piper." She held Piper as she sobbed.

"Why would he hide this?" The pictures were old, based on Sam's haircut, a few years at least.

"I don't know. But think about Melinda. She needs her mom right now." She wanted to cry with Piper, she knew how it felt to have a broken heart.

Piper sobbed for a few minutes. She needed to get it out of her system.

"I'm good. I'm good. We'll deal with this guy first. He may know who tried to take Melinda." She'll deal with Sam later. "How will we do this?"

Kama was sitting calmly in Cupid's Temple, she was waiting for Dafydd. On schedule, he appears in front of her.

"Why didn't you run?" He went to the Manor to lure her out, but he sensed her here instead.

"I was going to, but realized pointless it would be." Kama told Piper and Jenna she was returning to Heaven, but when she saw what was in the pool at the Temple, she didn't want to do this anymore. "You're right. This isn't right." She saw Coop, her latest charge staring sadly at Phoebe. "Everyone deserves love. Even us." She remembered when when she raised Dafydd as a stillborn baby. Most babies were sent to Heaven, most moving on, the few that weren't were trained as Cupid Agents. "I'm sorry about Martha." She saw her in Heaven, her soul was ready to be reborn, as most suicides.

"Thank you." Dafydd was ready to kill her, but hearing her apology made his frozen heart melt. "What now?" He was watching a funeral, the parents were heartbroken burying their toddler who drowned in a kiddie pool.

"I talked to Evangeline, she said all future agents will be fully grown adults. All voluntary of course." She never wanted to enslave babies ever again. "If you want to kill me, I understand." She wasn't afraid to die, she was already dead. She didn't scream when Dafydd killed her, he needed to heal.

Dafydd stares blankly at her body, her wings fused to the ground. He had a job to finish, there was one more.

"Paige?" You okay? Paige was holding her head.

"It's nothing." She shook her headache off. "Let's do this."

Dafydd was waiting in a alley, all the hate in his heart was gone. When he saw the two witches, he held up his hands.

''I'm sorry. Before you kill me, I have something to say."

"Make it fast." Piper's heart was filled with rage.

"Sam made a mistake. He didn't mean it." Dafydd, he regretted everything. "Please, don't let hate fill your heart." He looked at Paige. "Mason, it's not too late. Otherwise the arrow wouldn't have worked."

"He has a point. Remember Dan?" Paige remembered the time Piper was missing.

"That was different." She and Sam needed to talk.

"Your heart Piper. Don't let one mistake harden your heart. Hate, resentment, it will eat you alive." Dafydd head up his arms. "Go for it. I deserve it." He closed his eyes, praying to God that Martha and that banker meet in their next lives.

Piper threw the potion, vanquishing Dafydd. She heard Dafydd's words.

'Hate, resentment, it will eat you alive.'

"Why didn't he tell me?"

"I remember how creepy Sam was. He had no soul. Technically, he didn't cheat. And neither have you." Piper had amnesia, she didn't remember who she was.

"It's not because he cheated, it's because he didn't trust me to tell me." Piper hated secrets. "I'll talk to Sam later, right now I need to know who tried kidnapping my baby." Piper still didn't know who was responsible. She sighed. "You know, it's been a long time since we saw Phoebe."

"I'm sure she's fine." Paige was thinking the same thing.

Phoebe was humming as she walked through the door. Michael was so romantic. She forgotten how nice it was just having a normal date. Shame he lived so far away. She needed to tell her sisters.

"Piper? Paige?"

"Shh! Mel is asleep!" Jenna hissed. She was currently playing with Laura who was chewing on a baby ring.

''Sorry." Seeing Laura, Phoebe hoped someday it would be her own baby chewing on a toy. Michael was nice, but seeing Coop again made her heart race.

Medusa's eyes glowed as she froze the couple. She had only one purpose, keep everyone was getting hurt like she was all those years ago. Everyone will pay, that way no one will ignore someone's pain.
