Iago mentioned in order to develop resistance to poisons, you need to regularly come in contact with it. That was the lesson that started and ended his direct involvement with training the guard at the Northern Fortress, since Iago was rather literal in his applications. A good lesson, with a rather gruesome story, but that's for another time.

Now, it might be me, but the ninja, Kaze, must have used the same poison, and it wasn't working like the first time. I woke up to the sound of a moving cart, and the smell of trees. I was upright, and seated. I was still bound on both my arms and legs and there was a hand resting on each of my shoulders. I kept my eyes closed to make them think I was sleeping.

The cart suddenly stops.

"Wake her up."

The hands suddenly moved under my arms and lifted me up. Another set of hands started to shake me up. "Wake up!"

I slowly opened my eyes.

"Good. On your feet now."

A mask was over my head, and the bounds on my legs were removed. I was being led out of the cart by the two men holding me.

Four steps forwards, then I'm stopped by them. They go ahead of me and assist me off the cart. I try to find the ground with my right foot. I find it, and get my left foot close to it.

On the ground, they continue walking me. While the mask over my face was dark, my ears could still hear that they were moving me inside a building.

"Hey-"

"Talk later-not now."

"Sorry, sir."

"Damnit."

I didn't care enough about how I was moving since I was likely being moved to a prison.

"Is this her?"

"It is her."

"Get in there and shackle her to the wall."

Moved into the cell. Suddenly, the bounds on my arms were removed and replaced with new bounds, metal ones. Once I was shackled, they removed my mask. I was in a prison.

"Alright. Leave her here and lock it up."

Two guys, one at the door and the other who removed my mask, about to exit my room.

*slam*

At least, it was clean.

A room with a bed on the floor and a window, high up for sunlight. The door was the only way out, with a gate in the bottom meant for items smaller than a human.

*creak*

The gate opens, and items get tossed inside. They slide on the floor and almost hit the other side of the room. Items wrapped in leaves. I opened to find food inside them-rice balls, all of them.

*grumble* *grumble* *grumble*

I ate it without a thought of it being poisoned, realized that it could have been poisoned after the second rice ball, but then realizing that I was somehow related to Hoshidan royalty.

I was still very tired, coming all the way from Nohr to Hoshido. After finishing my meal, I felt a strange tiredness, coupled with that onsetting tiredness.

Maybe they poisoned my food a little bit just to make me sleep.

I made my way to the bed and slept there. The smell of straw and hay, covered with a cloth.
