Title: Meaningless
Pairing: Jack/Elizabeth
Rating: PG
Summary: Jack's beautiful, and he knows it, but he doesn't mean anything. Inspired by the quick shot in the Pirates 2 trailer of Jack and Elizabeth just about to kiss; just a quick not-quite-drabble.
His lips were close, and his eyes burnt.
There was nothing she could do- no way to resist, to refuse. His breath on her face, his fingers tangling in her hair, his mere presence; they assured that.
So he kissed her, soft and warm and dry; almost chaste. Feeling the scratch of his moustache, so like Will's, and yet so unlike, her eyes slipped shut and she leaned into the kiss, allowing her fingers to skate along high cheekbones and sea-roughened skin.
Later she cursed herself. Jack Sparrow, for all his innuendoes and his lewd jokes, his coquettishly applied kohl, that swaggering, hypnotising walk of his- he didn't mean any of it. Not his voice, purring darkly in her ear, nor his lips, pressed flush against hers, scorching with the taste of salt and rum and lime. He was a pirate, after all- he meant none of it.
And what was worse; Elizabeth knew she didn't mean it either.
