Last Chapter…
Mallow was sitting on a chair next to a table and Ash was sitting on a chair opposite to Mallow. Ash knew that his task was to get as much knowledge as possible from Mallow regarding the powering devices which seh and possibly the group of traitors used.
Red said "Do you know who gives you these powering devices?"
Mallow said plainly "All I know is that I am instructed to use these powering devices to power up my Pokemons by my friend, she is the Alolan Champion so she has diplomatic immunity from being arrested."
Red said "I know, Lillie was the one, alright, you will be free but the crime you did will be announced, but the condition is that you do not talk with your friends about my investigation. You will be tracked however, to make sure that you follow my words."
Mallow nodded "I will not reveal the investigation."
Red said "You could be qustioned further in the future, you will need to come for questioning."
Mallow then nodded "Alright, I would do that, then. I am sorry for taking a powering device."
Red said "I accept your sorry. Now, you can leave."
Mallow then got up and walked and the police officer opened the door and Mallow left the jail. Red then got up and left the jail. He knew that he had someting important that needs to be done. Red then got a phone call from Blaine and he answered the call.
Blaine said "The power delivered by the device comes from Pewter City in Kanto. We would need to send a team to investigate."
Ash nodded "Yes, we need to investigate there. I know a team go and do the investigation based on your input. Thank You!"
Blaine said "You are welcome!"
A crowd waited for their food in a pretty posh-looking restaurant in the centre of the gorgeous city. More specifically, it was the gang of traitors responsible for the long-ago betrayal of Ash. Even though the group was currently missing a few members, everyone nonetheless found time to spend out together on their own.
Goh shouted across the dining room. "Hey! Over here, I need a waitress!" A well-groomed man approached and spoke as quietly as he could while wearing a false smile. "Sir, can I assist you?" Goh said in an irritated manner. "Yeah! I placed my order for lunch around ten minutes ago, and I still haven't received anything! Where is it?" Cilan made a point. "Food preparation requires time, Goh... Really don't try to rush things..."
Goh scowled and muttered while crossing his arms. "Nothing matters! I'm famished."
Dawn answered. We should all be discussing more worthwhile topics, such as how to win this competition and conquer the Alola Region, Goh. A few heads turned in their direction, but nearly everyone turned around and went about their business. Goh, all of a sudden filled with rage. "Yeah! Mark my words: I'm going to crush Red and his foolish Typhlosion!"
Iris chuckled while shaking her head. "Remember that you were too confident in the past, Goh, and look what happened. You are such a child!" Goh scowled angrily. "Hey! Iris, nobody asked you!" May positioned her hands between them and stated, sounding irritated. "Guys! Everyone here is on the same team! Do not overlook that! Let's not overlook the bigger picture of why we are even here, do we?"
After giving Dawn his arm, Clemont nodded. "Red will be entirely stopped by us, and we will thereafter succeed him as league winner! After that, we can do anything we choose! Okay, guys?"
Chloe said with a smile and a nod. Right! We have five people competing in this tournament, therefore we have a strong chance of winning. Compared to all of us, all of these competitors are amateurs!"
Cilan said at once. "Excuse me, but how will we determine who is the legitimate champion if there are five of us here?" Goh mocked. "Duh. Whoever wins the competition will be crowned the winner, kick Red out on his sorry ass, and then elect all of us into their new elite group!"
Dawn grimaced. But won't his elites resist remaining silent?Once more, Goh laughed. "Who cares? They won't be able to speak anymore because my team will destroy them!" Chloe cooed as she leaned into her partner. "That is my guy! So valiant!"
Clemont made a small head shake before speaking. "In this competition, my Serperior is the one to beat; he's invincible." Goh chuckled while shaking his head. "You desire! No one is destroying my Gallade! No one keep up with him because he is too powerful and swift."
The traitors started arguing about whose Pokémon was the strongest, and their argument grew louder and louder as the seconds and minutes passed. Before they were alone with one table that was filled by just one person sitting next to them, those surrounding them started to leave. Goh suddenly cried out in disgust while frantically flailing his arms. He had just finished a pointless speech about how Gallade was superior to all of his friends' Pokémon put together. "HEY! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO MY FOOD?"
Moments thereafter, the same irritated waiter from before emerged carrying a big tray of food that contained all of the traitors' entrees. Goh exclaimed with joy. "Finally! Order—" Then, in a split second, the waiter threw the entire tray of food towards the gathering, setting up a flurry of reactions. Dawn and Clemont reprimanded the waiter for their now entirely damaged attire as Iris joined Cilan in shouting about the state of their dinner. Goh was almost attacking the poor waiter while Chloe screamed at the top of her lungs. Last but not least, May had a stunned expression on her face as she sat in the middle of the group.
However, the waiter had a scowl on his face. "Don't hold this against me. Don't try to argue that one of you had your feet out. Therefore, if you want to place the blame elsewhere, start with yourself." Goh, though, screamed out. "I won't act in such a way! We need free food right away, or I'll complain to management if you don't." The waiter smirked and chuckled as he waved his blue hair and simply observed the gathering with delighted eyes. The lone woman at the table got up and moved away from the group, her vivid magenta hair flowing behind her.
A small individual appeared around the next bend, smiled, and took a picture of the group before gently leaving. Before saying cheerily, he whistled happily. We are the best in the industry.
Ash then said "Misty, Lance, the Johto Elite Four member has been a source of problems to Sabrina. I take these issues seriously. You need to investigate him." and Misty replied "Lance is already being investigated and he has been warned to not cause problems to Sabrina." and Ash nodded.
Misty then said ""Like Kanto, Johto has three Elite Four who are Gym Leaders who are Jasmine, Whitney, and Koga and Lance is an Elite Four member. Since the old Elite Four members of Kanto-Johto retired, I needed to find suitable replacements like you and I chose the four."
Ash then replied "The Johto Elite Four are also strong in battling. We also managed to keep Kanto-Johto as an united region, it is good that you allowed me to have some power over the G-Men in Johto as Team Rocket had major bases in Johto which I was able to destroy."
Ash then said "I love you a lot, Misty! You are such a kind person and so good in heart. I am happy to have you as my partner." and Misty replied "You also are a very kind person and I love you so much!"
Ash and Misty then quietly rode on Talonflame, happy to be with each other. Talonflame continued to fly rapidly to Mount Silver and Ash and Misty felt the weather becoming cooler as Talonflame flew higher to reach the peak. Talonflame then reached the peak of Mount Silver in some time and then Ash and Misty disembarked from Talonflame and Ash said "Thank You, Talonflame!" and Misty also said Thanks!" Talonflame smiled on being said thanks and then Ash returned Talonflame to the Pokeball.
Ash and Misty then sat on Mount Silver while looking at the scenery of the mountains as well as the stars present in the sky. Ash and Misty also looked at the full moon which made the area to be brighter due to soft moonlight.
Ash then asked Misty "Would you like to dance with me?" and Misty said in an energetic manner "I would love to dance with you!" Ash and Misty then got up nad then were dancing slowly on the peak of the mountain for some time.
Ash and Misty were looking at each other while dancing and Ash and Misty found out that both of then were looking at each other and then they blushed a lot on noticing that they were looking at each other. Ash and Misty continued to dance for some time. Ash then leaned to kiss Misty and then their lips touched and then Ash pushed his tongue and then their tongues touched each other and held each other for some time.
Ash and Misty were kissing each other for some time and then they parted while smiling at each other. Ash and Misty continued to dance at the mountain for some time while they smiled at each other.
Leon then came and said while Ash and Misty did not notice him "I did not expect to see the Kanto and Johto Champions to be dancing with each other on top of a mountain but I guess you both wanted as much privacy as possible."
Ash and Misty turned and saw to their surprise Leon looking at them. Ash and Misty were blushing on being noticed to be dancing with each other and then Leon said "Relax, I am not going to stop you two doing whatever you both want to do with each other."
Ash then said "I did not expect you to climbing Mount Silver in the night when the caves would be dark." and Leon replied "I wanted to train my Pokemon team to be as strong as possible, so I started climbing in morning. It took me till night to reach the peak of the mountain."
Misty replied "I see, that is the reason. I need to have Mount Silver closed while we both are in Mount Silver." and Ash asked Leon "Could you keep the incident as a secret?" and then Leon replied "Sure, I am not interested in gaining money from tabloid newspapers."
Ash and Misty sighed in relief that the extent of their relationship would not be revealed further to the tabloid newspapers. Leon then said "I would leave now, be free to do as you want in Mount Silver. I am not restricting you to do whatever you want." and Ash and Misty smiled at him.
Ash and Misty then saw Leon leave and then saw him walk down the cave to be away from them. Deciding to believe Leon, they looked at each other and Ash said "Let us dance for some more time." and Misty nodded to what Ash said to her.
Ash and Misty continued to dance and they were dancing in slow tempo for some time while looking at each other's eyes. Ash and Misty then were tired from dancing and then Ash and Misty stopped to dance and then sat next to each other.
Ash then said "We are a power couple!" and then Misty smiled and said "Yes, we definitely are a power couple." Ash and Misty looked at the many stars, the full moon, the mountains, and then noticed that it was snowing.
Misty then got up and then said "We can play with snow!" and Ash smiled and nodded. Ash then got up and then Misty threw snow at him and Ash threw snow at her. Ash and Misty continued to throw snow at each other for some time. Leon then climbed up and asked "Could I come to the peak?" and then Misty replied to Leon "No, we have an important business that we are doing!"
Leon then said "Is that so? Fine then, I will wait for some more time." Ash then said "We are having an important business, Johto Champion?" and then laughed on hearing that and Misty smiled and said "Our snow fight is an important business for us to be happy, Kanto Champion?"
Ash smiled and nodded to what Misty said and said "In that perspective, snow fight is indeed an important business. Let us continue the business then!" Ash and Misty continued to throw snow at each other and they were happy that they were spending quality time having some good moments with each other.
Ash and Misty then noticed that it was snowing heavily and then Ash asked "Would you be fine with us making a snowman?" and Misty smiled and said "Ye, I would love to make a snowman!" Ash and Misty then rolled some snowballs on the ground which became bigger for some time. Misty then carried her snowball and then placed the snowball on Ash's snowball. Ash then continued to roll some snowball and the snowball became bigger. Ash then placed the snowball on top of the two snowballs stacked.
Misty then said "We have made a snowman!" and Ash smiled and said "Yes, we have made a snowman and it looks nice!" and Misty said "You are right, it indeed looks nice!" on hearing that from Ash.
Ash then said to Misty "We need to have the snowman destroyed" and Misty nodded and said "Yes, we need to do that!" and then Ash and Misty kicked and punched to destroy the snowman. The snowman was soon destroyed by Ash and Misty.
Ash then stood quietly next to Misty and then Ash put his arm around Misty's waist and noticed how slim she was and Misty then put her arm around Ash's shoulders and noticed how muscular Ash was. Ash and Misty continued to se the scenery for some time and then they heard Leon breaking the silence by asking "I also want to visit the top of the mountain. When could I do that?"
Ash then answered "When we let you to come, you can come! Me and Green would just spend some more time on the peak." and then Leon said "Fine!" Ash and Misty then sat down and then Ash put his arm around Misty's waist and Misty put her arm around Ash's shoulder.
Ash and Misty looked at the snow which was falling and Misty rested her head on Ash's shoulder. Ash then stroked Misty's back which he found to be toned and Misty liked the sensation of Ash stroking her back. Ash and Misty continued to sit for some time and then Ash said "Could we walk around and see?" and Misty said "Yes, we can do that."
Ash and Misty then got up and then Ash and Misty walked around and looked at the various mountains present. Ash and Misty noticed that the field had more snow on the ground but still Ash and Misty continued to walk.
Ash then kissed Misty on her plump lips and then he and Misty were on the ground with Ash on top of Misty. Ash and Misty continued to kiss each other on the cheeks and Ash was then kissing from Misty's cheek to her jawbone and then to her neck and her collarbone.
Ash and Misty then got up and continued to look around. Ash and Misty noticed that there was a steep slope downwards and continued to walk on the field for some time, happy to be with each other. Ash then asked Misty "Could we go back to Indigo Plateau?" and then Misty said "Yes, we can go back to Indigo Plateau."
Ash then released Talonflame and then Ash and Misty embarked on Talonflame. Ash said "Leon, you can come up!" and then Leon rapidly climbed up to reach the peak. Leon then saw Talonflame leaving the ground and flying in the direction of Indigo Plateau.
Ash and Misty were happy due to spending time with each other and Ash said to Misty "I love the time we spent with each other." and Misty said "I also loved the time." Ash and Misty saw that that the snowfall reduced and soon stopped. Talonflame continued to fly for some time and then reached Indigo Plateau. Talonflame then flew to the balcony of Ash's quarters and then landed there.
Ash and Misty then disembarked from Talonflame and then Ash said "Thank You!" and Misty said "Thanks!" and Talonflame was happy to hear that. Ash then returned Talonflame to the Pokeball. Ash and Misty then went to the bed and then Ash and Misty lay on the bed next to each other.
Present…
Misty was sitting on the bed in the Champion quarters and she was browsing her phone. Misty then saw an alert which said "A blonde haired girl would participate in the competition who would be a Team Rocket agent." Misty then clicked the alert and saw the details.
Meanwhile...
A complaint about "the improper type of attention" was made by Ash. Currently, he was wondering what exactly was going through the other person's mind across from him. It was actually fairly straightforward; he enjoyed the benefits of being a champion but loathed the attention it brought. Words can't express, for instance, how much he appreciated being able to design a territory according to his preferences. It was also admirable that everyone treated him with the utmost respect whenever they saw him; it was as though they honoured his position.
But for every person who revered him, there were also some who wanted to exploit him for their own benefit and popularity. Obviously, they weren't the only factors contributing to his dislike of the spotlight, but they were the two main ones. He hoped to locate a lovely beach house in Kanto soon—possibly off a beach somewhere—and that would happen. He truly needs that.
He had much more important things to do right now than to deal with individuals who only wanted to take advantage of him, gain something from him, or, worst of all, get into his trousers. Unfortunately, the ladder was the subject at hand, even though all the other males would view it as a blessing. Ash did not, not even close.
What was it that was on his mind? Well, that was, to put it mildly, a fascinating talk with a legendary trio.
Flashback… About Two Days Prior…
As soon as Ash and Misty landed on the Pokémon League's roof, they noticed three figures standing there wearing various outfits. The smallest had a little white hat, dark sunglasses, and a matching white tuxedo. The male of the group had his hair pulled back into a man-bun and appeared to be wearing some sort of waiter's costume. The group's female member wore a big white hat that drooped over her eyes. She was dressed in a white sundress.
Ash laughed. "It baffles me how I've always been duped by those dreadful disguises." "I generally can identify them," Misty replied. "That is because you are really observant, Misty," Ash said. James grinned as he removed the mask.
"Be glad you did, the twerp troop caught the bug!" That made Ash giggle, and he added eagerly. "Well? Let's hear it for what you guys have to offer." Jessie extended her hand and made a little bow as James indicated to his companions. "You may start off."
He laughed. Really well, He handed him a few images as he approached Ash and Misty. Ash and Misty looked into each one separately. Goh and Chloe were seen laughing and holding hands in the first picture, with Lillie coming in last. It appeared as though they were passing a Pokémon toy store. Chloe appeared to be giggling and pushed Goh away with her other hand as he attempted to kiss her with an unknown substance on his lips. Lillie was scowling at them from behind. In his opinion, it wasn't really anything. He moved on to the following image and noticed it was taken in a restaurant. Chloe had a smile on her face and stars in her eyes as she nestled up close to Goh. To Goh's right, Lillie was glancing down at her phone. They were joined by the remaining traitors.
The last image he received was a strange one. The traitors appeared to be squabbling over something. Goh, who was ranting and screaming over something, was snuggled up next to Chloe. For whatever reason, Lillie was not in Ash's line of sight. Cilan was engaging Clemont in a detailed conversation while he was pointing down at a piece of paper.
Blinking, Ash. "What... what do these represent? None of these images have any significance!" He was a little irritated. James unexpectedly smiled a little. "Look at the Chloe twerpette more closely." Ash arched his brow. "Why do you say that? It appears that Chloe is only doing this to grope her soon-to-be-beaten boyfriend."
James' grin continued to grow. "Not Chloe twerpette, but the other one." Ash's eyes somewhat expanded and flitted to the images. He examined the first image, and it supported what James had said. It was obvious to him that Lillie was making a face; it wasn't a gross-out expression. She appeared to be... melancholy. James gestured. "Watch the toy in the window."
Ash noticed it and his eyes sprung up. a doll of Pikachu. That was in no manner a coincidence. He needed to validate what he was seeing, but despite his best efforts, the large picture remained in his head. When he saw what Lillie was seeing on her phone in the following image—a photograph of Melemele Airport—his eyes widened. the location of...
After a brief search, he discovered Lillie in the backdrop of the third image holding her phone angled up, almost like...
"She's recording them on camera! However, the fundamental query is: Why is she recording this in the first place?" James answered. "The first two photos weren't mine, but I did snap the last one and kind of followed her around. Out of pure curiosity, I learned enough to plan my own trip to the Alola Region." Ash spoke gradually. "Something tells me you aren't just telling me this to let me know you failed to find anything." His companion smiled. "You're absolutely correct. It transpired that Lillie's mother vanished a day before she set out on her travel through Kanto."
Ash's eyes slightly narrowed in response. "Six years ago, what? She vanished just before they declared me dead, right? How on earth did I miss this?" James clarified. "That was also bothering me. I researched at Aether Paradise in Alola and discovered some amazing stuff. I learned that her abductors only kept her for ten days in all before handing her back."
Misty enquired "Kidnapped?"
James nodded. "Yes, but it isn't the strangest aspect." Ash enquired. "So what was it then?"
"It was the alleged fact that she was returned to her house unharmed and that the kidnappers allegedly received nothing in return. Unable to control his slightly eager tone of voice," he continued. Misty paused for a second to process everything. "That's pretty strange, she was only imprisoned for a week and a half before being released without being paid a ransom. That almost suggests that she was a..."
"Bargaining Tool" James completed it for her. As soon as Ash turned to face him, everything made sense.
"Do you believe that the traitors used Lillie's mother as leverage to get her to turn against me? How can everything there come together perfectly?" James clarified. "The Alolan twerps and twerpettes would be reluctant to betray you because they had a strong bonds with you. They therefore grab her mother and demand that she work with them in order to give them more control over you, even if it is only temporarily. Despite her better judgement, she complies, and after the act is completed, Lillie's mother is given back. She cannot confront the traitors since there is just verbal evidence, and since all of them are truly backstabbing you, there is no evidence that would place them at the site of the crime."
Ash made a mention. "Still doesn't explain a couple things, such as why she is taping everything if she has no plans to use it."
James nodded. "You haven't met Lillie before, correct me if I'm wrong, but, yes?" Blinking, Ash. "What? Why do you say that? Of course, I've already met her—" James gave a head shake. "No, I'm talking about as the Red."
Ash shook his head and scowled. "I'm afraid I can't say I have."
James smirks. "Yes, if my assumption is true, she is taping this specifically for you." Ash understood that James' forecast was accurate and filled in all the holes. Red was allegedly someone who obtained services in exchange for payment; the query was, what was she offering him?
"After all, neither you nor I perform our work for nothing. When she finds me, what exactly does she have in mind; in other words, how is she going to compensate me?"
James made a small frown. "I'm afraid that small nugget of knowledge has escaped me thus far." Ash stated while giving a modest smile and a slow nod. James, you did well. Thanks. James stated courteously while bowing. It was a privilege, When Jessie moved forward and sadly said, he then stepped back. "I wish I had the same news as James, but I do not, Red. In all honesty, they are quite uninteresting and basic. Please pardon my ignorance of the circumstances."
Ash brushed it aside. "Don't worry about a thing, I expected as much from the traitors." Jessie thanked him before withdrawing. Meowth approached and gave him an object of some sort. He calmly said while giving Ash a nod. "You should keep an eye on this twerp, but not right now. Just trust me on this: this movie is just for your eyes, and you'll understand why after you watch it."
Ash told the group after taking him at his word. "You must all remain vigilant. I've heard today that a new Ultra Beast might escape shortly, so be on the alert. You can all resume your adventure, but I may need your assistance in the future to defend Kanto. Keep your phone close by since I might need your assistance soon."
Meowth gave a nod. All three rockets blasted off the rooftop with the words "You got it, boss!" Ash turned away and peered down at the strange contraption. Ash guessed that it would display some kind of video because it appeared to have a small screen on it. He would examine it in his personal space, which should be secure enough to prevent prying eyes from catching a glimpse of what Meowth had handed him.
Present…
Now that he had watched the film, Ash was unable to focus on it because a battle was taking place in front of him, despite his desire to do so. He sighed in irritation and then said under his breath, "Who am I kidding?" as a bulging vein protruded from the side of his skull. The battle was with the person he was up against, not the current circumstance. It was a blonde girl with dark grey eyes who was rather adorable. She was dressed in cropped blue jeans and a tight black top with a pokeball symbol in the centre. Her thick golden hair flowed down her back and curled slightly upwards at the end. She was probably between 16 and 17 years old.
He didn't identify her right away, but a lot of other people did. The battle's referee, who was at this point announcing the regulations, called out. "The conflict between the Red of Kanto and Shelly Shirona of Veilstone City is about to start! Three Pokémon can be used by either side, and the battle is over when all three of one side's Pokémon are unable to move forward! Additionally, both sides of this combat are free to swap out their Pokémon whenever they like!"
Unfortunately, having Shelly as his first opponent had a number of drawbacks. She was an expert when it came to Pokémon, to begin with. It was impossible for Ash to get away with using Pokémon abilities or anything out of the ordinary because he had done so much research in the days leading up to the battle and was aware of her history and statistics. That meant that, with only a hint of improvisation, he would need to wow her with his strength and his own command of Pokémon moves. Second, being a Shirona implied that she was a ferocious fighter in every manner and would not be defeated easily. This would not be an easy task. However, the last factor was by far the worst:
She was making him blush.
"You're the renowned Red, then." She gave him a seductive smile. "My Sister wasn't lying at all; you are worth considering." Ash momentarily lost focus when he realised that she was essentially telling him that Cynthia thought his was attractive, but he quickly dismissed the notion. He had to remain concentrated. Just before the fight, Sabrina had given him some advice.
Even though these were only a few words, he had to live by them during this battle. The words, "Remember, you are the champion," reverberated in his head. Show off there, but do not in any way give the audience reason to think you will lose. There was no way to dispute the fact that she was absolutely correct after only two phrases. He knew exactly how to take care of crushing Shelly with ease.
Shelly was more preoccupied with him than with the conflict. I'm free now that this war is over, how about you?
Ash resisted the desire to snort.
'I can't tolerate the unwelcome attention,' he thought. As calmly as he could, he responded. "We probably won't talk after this battle, how about you?" Playing the chilly, ice Red, he made a caustic remark. Shelly was unconcerned, though. She laughed. "I know you're no different from the other males who would certainly die to get into my trousers."
Ash laughed. "Ms. Shirona, I'm probably three years your senior. As interesting as you are, I doubt your sister would approve of me. Of course, you are a minor."
Shelly seemed a little taken aback by this; it was obvious that she wasn't anticipating him to turn down the chance to have fun with her. She said while scowling. "Then I'll strike a bargain with you!" Unable to contain himself at this moment, Ash rolled his eyes. "And what's the deal there?"
She chuckled. "If you defeat me, I'll buy you dinner for just the two of us! Deal? You'll pay for our meal if I win." Ash answered cynically as he overheard other boys in the crowd screaming and pleading for them to be taken instead. "I'll counter by saying that if you win, you can continue in the competition, and if I win, I go on. Does it sound okay?" She widened her eyes in shock, wondering how one man could be so restrained. One person in the throng was gradually losing her composure, speaking of self-control.
Ten Minutes Prior…
She started to leave when she abruptly heard a voice. It was strange that she could hear it, but suddenly, she could hear everything Red and Shelly said as well as their dialogue.
"You're the renowned Red, then." Until she heard what she said next, Misty continued to get up from her chair.
"My Sister wasn't lying at all; you are worth considering." Then she abruptly stopped. She slowly whirled around to face the battleground. She struggled to comprehend her current emotions, yet she felt guarded about Red.
"I'm free now that this battle is over, how about you?" She fixed her gaze on the stunning blonde who was now making it quite clear that she wanted to date the Kanto Champion. She glanced across at Red, who appeared indifferent. Then, after a brief pause, he spoke.
"We probably won't talk after this battle, how about you?" A man next to her yelled when he gasped. "Shelly! I'm available to spend time with you!" A different male yelled. "No! Choose me, Shelly, instead!" In response to the boys nearby, Misty shook her head. She pinched her lip as she imagined Goh screaming the same thing at her back when he was dating someone.
Shelly gave a small smirk, appearing unaffected by Red's remark. "I know you're no different from the other males who would certainly die to get into my trousers." Misty found herself silently pleading that she was mistaken about the second portion, even if she wasn't mistaken about the first part. Still confused of why she was feeling this way about a man she hardly knew, she listened to Red's response.
"Ms. Shirona, I'm probably three years your senior. As interesting as you are, I doubt your aunt would approve of me. Of course, you are a minor." Red wasn't biting the bait, and she had to hold back a giggle at that. He was obviously quite self-controlled. To her surprise, though, Shelly continued to press the champion to give her a chance.
"Then I'll strike a bargain with you!"
"And what's the deal there?"
"If you defeat me, I'll buy you dinner for just the two of us! Deal? You'll pay for our meal if I win." Misty blew up. It was sufficient! "Why, what nerve that woman had!" She yelled. Fortunately for her, a group of males shouting that they would accept the offer immediately drowned out her quite loud statement and prevented anyone from hearing her scream.
Red responded in the meanwhile. "I'll counter by saying that if you win, you can continue in the competition, and if I win, I go on. Does it sound okay?" Misty was aware of how composed and honest Ash was being in comparison to the other men in the stadium, who only seemed interested in getting into her trousers and engaging in combat. She couldn't help but look around and observe another fairly strange thing: both guys and females were gazing down at the field. She realised the harsh reality: Red was a man who attracted a lot of people.
She noticed that she was fixating on the boy wearing the red vest.
Battlefield…
Finally, Ash enjoyed a run of good fortune. After observing the conversation between Shelly and Red, the referee made the decision to speak up. He screamed. The crowd erupted in applause as Shelly kissed her first pokeball and launched it into the air. "Shelly will call out her Pokémon first and have the first move! Ready? Battle BEGIN!" The massive fire-type Pokémon took the field and growled loudly, firing a blast of fire up into the air before assuming a fighting position.
Ash saw Paul's Magmortar clearly and momentarily pondered his wellbeing. Before he pulled out a pokeball and called out, he made a mental note to double-check that. The Pokémon manifested and shouted, "I need your help!" as it appeared, shocking everyone. Koga looked down in complete disbelief. In actuality, everyone on the battlefield seemed speechless—apart from one.
Sabrina's face was beaming. He's actually playing it differently than I anticipated.
Although he appeared a little perplexed, the referee raised his flags and stated. Begin with "Magmortar versus. Venusaur."
As she grinned. The fire-type raised its arm and threw a flamethrower at the grass type, saying, "My my Mr. Champion, just what has gotten into you? You don't think that Venusaur can win my Magmortar... or do you? Either way, this battle is over. Magmortar, Flamethrower, burn it!" Ash said with calm. Shelly arched an eyebrow when the Flamethrower impacted and a small explosion filled the area, saying, "Jump backwards, you know the strategy." Everyone then noticed a figure fly out in a straight line towards Magmortar.
Ash chuckled. Shelly shouted, "Poison Powder in mid-flight!" But it was too late. "Nail in with Flamethrower before it hits!" Ash's devoted grass-type fired a burst of purple gas in the air directly towards the fire-type as it flew above Magmortar's head. About two seconds too late, the flamethrower launched and entirely missed its target. Shelly clenched her jaws tightly: that large grass-like object may move!
Additionally, she was aware that Magmortar wouldn't endure for long with the effects of Poison Powder, so she needed to finish. She screamed. Magmortar scowled but agreed and followed orders, "Flamethrower again, then follow up with Fire Punch!" It raised both arms, unleashed two flamethrowers, and then charged in with hands his head, Ash. Trainers these days are killed by overconfidence. He would swiftly and decisively end this conflict. No moves could reach his Pokémon, hence no moves would reach them. The absurdity of his earlier thoughts suddenly hit him, but he brushed them aside and continued to focus on the struggle. First, avoid the flamethrowers, Venusaur!
Venusaur snuck by both flamethrowers by moving in their direction while using its small size. Ash was unaware that Shelly wanted this. She exclaimed joyfully. Magmortar growled and charged the tiny grass Pokémon, who appeared absolutely helpless in front of it. "Now that they're too close, they can't avoid! Hit it with your Fire Punch, GO!" it yelled. He made that very simple for me, it's almost like... he wanted it to—, Shelly couldn't help but think to herself. Her eyes widened and she yelled. "Magmortar, hurry up and leave that place!"
Ash grinned once again. The Venusaur jumped at the fire type and whipped its vines at its legs, screaming, "Too late! Max it with Vine Whip and jump up!" Magmortar fell on its back after stumbling and rolling forward. The Venusaur had already taken off. Ash gave an instruction while waving his arm downward. Venoshock! Finish this!
Shelly's eyes widened in shock. She screamed "No!" but there was nothing she could do. An explosion engulfed the scene as the double-powered poison move struck Magmortar square in the face. The smoke dissipated, revealing a knocked-out Magmortar, and Venusaur landed perfectly on its legs. Although a little taken aback, the referee raised his flag. "Venusaur prevails because Magmortar is unable to fight!"
Cheers for their champion erupted from the audience. Shelly was astounded—how had she been so effortlessly brushed aside? She grinned and silently returned Magmortar before speaking. She threw another pokeball into the air, revealing a Samourott, saying, "I will confess Red, you caught me off guard once; it won't happen again." He mumbled as he handed Venusaur back. I appreciate it, old friend.
Then he cried out while pulling out another pokeball. "I require your help." The Pokémon appeared and assumed its shape. Some folks had seen it before, and it was a loud sight. "Typhlooosion!"
It's that Pokémon again! yelled a little voice from somewhere in the stadium. Ash bit back a chuckle because he knew this Pokémon would be known following its successful debut.
That was the reason he would win this conflict.
The referee roared and hoisted two flags. "Now begins Samurott vs. Typhlosion"
Shelly was aware that she was on her own this time. Despite her type disadvantage, she had to make something happen. She did, however, possess a few manoeuvres that might be useful. On the ground, but with Ice Beam! The water creature nodded before completely freezing the ground. Ash smirked; this was much more promising! He desired a tough battle, not a simple one. Making it a simple fight was harder because of this
"Hone Claws, Typhlosion. Increase that attack stat." Just in case Shelly forgot, Ash omitted the other portion. She called out, but it didn't seem like she noticed. "Now! Use Ice Beam to force it onto the ice." Ash sighed and shook his head; it wasn't good for her that she was making such blatant plays once more.
Ash screamed. "Get on the ice and skate!" Typhlosion shouted out and, to Ash's total amazement, started deftly skating around on the ice. "Shadow Claw!" Samurott was struck in the side by the Pokémon and immediately fell to the ground in agony. Her eyes grew very tight. She was starting to understand why Red was the champion: he was very tenacious in combat. For each technique, he had a countermeasure.
She was unfortunate since Ash shouted out another move while she was daydreaming. "Hone Claws again." Suddenly, she screamed. "Surf! Go with your own wave and dominate it!" When Typhlosion completed recharging his stats, Ash's eyes widened a little in response to the instruction and he noticed the enormous wave of water that was ready to smooth him out. Ash quickly searched his mind for a plan of action and, to his surprise, found one.
Use your claws to steer and skate the other direction! Despite how unlikely it was, he understood that Samurott might be able to deceive his Pokémon due to their blind speed. Shelley chuckled. "Red! Let's go! I realise it's a long shot, but truly, do you really believe that—" She was interrupted when Typhlosion abruptly launched itself above the sea. She whittled. "H-huh!?" Ash yelled. Start Focus Blast!
There was a tremendous explosion, and water and smoke were released everywhere. The crowd erupted in applause when Typhlosion and Samurott were both standing when the smoke finally cleared a short while later.
Meanwhile, up in the stands…
The traitors were interestedly observing the battle. The person who was most invested in the game was Clemont, who knew that Goh had promised to beat him but didn't really trust him. Goh had a small amount of "reality" illusion. He was always too sure of himself, even if he thought he was more "cautiously optimistic." He was confident that if he hit first and frequently, he could defeat Goh and anyone else. Goh sat next to him, puzzled. "I don't understand,"
Clemont looked at him with an eyebrow raised. "What?"
He gave a headshake. Why did he force his obtuse Typhlosion to master a completely new move set? Dawn inquired while seated next to her lover. "Maybe the goal is to confuse us. Perhaps he is aware that we are monitoring him."
The head-shaking Clemont. "I have my doubts. Furthermore, even by Red's standards, learning three new moves in such a short period of time is difficult."
Cilan made a point. "He is the victor. Maybe he simply has several."
Clemont was unable to object after that. He was lost in thought as he turned to face the conflict. He was aware that something was strange, but he was stumped.
Battlefield…
Shelly was aware that she had to take a chance. If she wasn't careful, Typhlosion—who hadn't taken a single hit—would be compelled to eliminate all three of Red's Pokémon. She had to exercise caution. She screamed. "Use Scald and melt every piece of ice! Let's neutralise his edge in speed!" Samurott unleashed a massive spray of extremely hot water to completely melt the ice.
Ash had to concede that it was shrewd reasoning. It was unfortunate for her that Samurott had already taken so much damage that at this point, one more assault would have put it permanently out of the fight. There were no issues as long as Typhlosion wasn't struck. Ash announced the action he was hoping would be the dagger.
"Use Shadow Claw to finish this off."
Shelly finally noticed a gap as Typhlosion surged in. "Megahorn now!" Ash's eyes slightly widened in response to the order. Samurott dug into Typhlosion's side with the incredibly powerful bug-type move at the same time that Typhlosion struck Samurott on the side of its neck with the strike, which he watched in slow motion. While both Pokémon fell to the ground, Typhlosion rose up gradually. Samurott chose not to.
When a light flashed around Typhlosion and revealed a black and red Pokémon that appeared to be a fox, he was interrupted. "Samurott is unable to battle, Scept—" The throng let out a startled gasp. Ash said while grinning. It seems pointless to deny it, but Zoroark was my second Pokémon.
The official announced while nodding. "Zoroark wins because Samurott is unable to fight." Samurott's image vanished, and Koga chuckled. "Well, I guess we now know who is going into combat."
Shelly was starting to feel a little anxious. How was she supposed to triumph now? She now knew Red's final Pokémon, which was the one positive aspect of the entire ordeal. The drawback was that it hadn't even experienced actual combat. When Samurott was brought back, she grimaced and released her last Pokémon, a Medicham, before tossing it into the air.
Ash scowled at his decision, warning him to be cautious. He instantly understood that if he played his cards well, he could find a way out of this. He informed the official. I'll continue to use Zoroark.
The official nodded, and Shelly was perplexed by this decision. Why didn't he switch to Venusaur or Typhlosion? They had not both sustained any injuries. So why was Zoroark still engaged in combat despite having survived a super-effective move? Shelly was perplexed as to what Red's trick would be, but he undoubtedly had one up his sleeve. There was just one way to learn the answer.
"Now begins Medicham vs. Zoroark!"
Kanto Elites…
Sabrina chuckled. "Ash is performing well right now."
Erika asked her pal a question. "Why is Typhlosion not participating in the match right now if the cat is out of the bag for him?" Koga sprang into speech. "Ah…"
Paul lowered his gaze. Why is this so funny?
Koga chuckled. "It's actually simpler than you'd expect, I just learned why Ash stuck with Zoroark." Shaking his head, Paul "Would you kindly educate us?" Koga gave a shrug. "The stat modifications are to blame. In that battle, Zoroark not only increased its numbers but also suffered damage. If he is removed, Zoroark loses these stat adjustments."
Erika squinted. Is it really that easy?
Nodding, Sabrina. "Indeed, Medicham isn't really known for having strong defensive or special attack moves, and my money suggests Zoroark is faster than it. If I understand this correctly... Ash will attempt the all-or-nothing shot." Paul found it hard to believe. "You're suggesting he'll try to put a stop to it all at once? That certainly isn't how Ash is."
Koga beaming. "Exactly. This is not mentioned in any of his fight files, according to Shelly's investigation of him. She won't be aware of his plans. I'm willing to wager that she is familiar with Typhlosion's move set, and while she is conversant with Zoroark's moves, she is still missing out on at least one of them. Mark my words, Ash will kill this Medicham either with a fatal shot or most likely with Zoroark's last attack."
Battlefield…
"Use Hone Claws, Zoroark!" Ash gave the command. The dark type nodded before recalculating its stats. Shelly gave the command. "We'll also need to increase our stats, Medicham! Activate Swords Dance!"
Ash yelled as Medicham prepared its assault. "Hone Claws! Follow along with it!" Shelly grinned, confident that she would prevail in this conflict. She ordered. "Swords Dance! Our opportunity to maximize, our assault is now!"
So it turned into a stats duel, but that much was obvious. Zoroark was the unfortunate loser. Each time you used Swords Dance, your attack virtually doubled; however, Hone Claws increased both accuracy and attack at a far slower rate. Knowing that the outcome of this conflict may be determined by a single action, the crowd was muttering discreetly. For the time being, neither trainer spoke, instead exchanging quick glances and seemingly daring the other to attack first to break the was the one who lost it initially.
"Now! Close Combat! End it!" Ash's dark-type was being tried to be defeated by Medicham, who jumped around and screamed. Ash said with calm. "Avoid it!" Zoroark swung his right shoulder to avoid the punch. Even after being hurt, Zoroark was still agile and evasive, Shelly scowled.
Shelly gave the command. "Go on till you succeed!"
Ash chuckled. "Continue avoiding!"
While Zoroark proceeded to avoid each of Medicham's punches and kicks, the latter kept doing so. Zoroark appeared to have unlimited reserves of stamina, which was causing Shelly increasing amounts of agitation. Close Combat was not working, and she knew she had to put an end to this. She was a little reluctant to use her secret weapon manoeuvre, but she knew she had to if she wanted to defeat the champion. She shouted while raising her arm. "Focus Punch, Charge it up and unleash it!"
As Medicham charged up a move that would almost surely knock out Zoroark, the crowd let out a small gasp. Even more astonishing was the fact that Ash was not giving Zoroark any orders. Medicham screamed. "Medi!" Shelly applauded while lowering her arm. "Go!" Medicham dashed after Zoroark and opened fire on it.
Ash gave a single, straightforward order that effectively ended the conflict. "Counter."
When Shelly heard it, her heart began to sink. Before Medicham's fist had a chance to cause any harm, it was launched into the air by the Counter just as it made contact. It was suspended in the air when Zoroark showed up, both of its claws already blazing a dark purple. Ash chuckled. "Complete it."
Zoroark didn't require two reminders. "Zzoooooooorrraaaa!" It growled as it used a dual shadow claw technique to drill the opposition. Medicham was knocked to the ground by the force of the move, and Zoroark came to rest on its legs. Medicham was seen in the bottom of the trench formed by the two manoeuvres, its eyes swirling. The referee announced it as the audience erupted in applause.
"Medicham cannot proceed, and Zoroark is the winner! Red, the Kanto Champion, is the victor of this match and the trainer moving on to the next round." As he said it, Red's image appeared in the centre of the large screen and Shelly's was greyed out.
In disbelief, Shelly knelt to her knees. She had left. She had been taken out. She spent a lot of time honing her skills to be the greatest she could be, but that time is now gone. All of her effort had been in vain. She gently rose to her feet as Red drew near. To her astonishment, she didn't say anything rude at all, contrary to what she had anticipated.
"You fought valiantly. Get close to all of your Pokémon, and positive things will take place." Red returned to his side, and when he entered the battler's box, he knelt down on one knee. When Zoroark got close to him, he followed suit. He remained on the ground for another few seconds while closing his eyes. He waited a short while before speaking softly.
"For those who have passed on... and for those who will follow."
Murmured Zoroark. "Zo-ra…" He then pulled Zoroark's pokeball out and forced himself to stand. He spoke softly. "Zoroark, you fought admirably; thank you."
Misty then climbed down the stairs to reach the battlefield and then said "Game over, Shelly! You are a Team Rocket member, Domino is your true name." She looked angrily at Green and then police came rapidly and then went and arrested her.
Misty then said "Red, I know Indigo Plateau belongs to Kanto but since I got intelligence that Team Rocket were going to use Domino disguised as Shelly, I asked Cynthia about Shelly and found that there was no such person named like that as her relative, I had the police arrest her but not before you showed your strength to her." Ash said on hearing that "Thank You for doing your duties!"
