Hey there guys. Guess who's back? Everything should be all good now and you guys will have a full length chapter. Sorry is the last few short chapters have been an issue but hopefully things will go smoothly from here on.
"Kameo1"- Hey, don't worry about it, just glad to have ya on board with everyone. And yeah, Dracmon's a prick doing that to Takuya. (By the way, we had a lot of fun writing that first bit. ;)) Hope you enjoy this chapter too.
"I have a dictionary here"- Wow buddy, thanks for the reviews. Unfortunately I can't give you any spoilers for the future though I can at least say that Shinya is in the story, little guy's shown up once or twice, but most of the time we spend focusing on the kids. As for anything regarding the spirits, you're just going to have to wait and see.
"the-ice-cold-alchemist"- Slow and painful death? Who knows? These kids go through a lot of shit but they somehow pull through, for better or worse. Glad you enjoyed that little bit and hope you enjoy this chapter too.
"LightFire"- Thank you for the patience. And hopefully you'll enjoy this chapter too. FernClaw's better now by the way so everything should be a-okay.
"SerenaTheHedgehog"- Well, when you got an angst writer working on this project things can tend to be a little dramatic. Ad let me tell you , you ain't seen nothing yet.
"Lucas H. Garrett"- -grins- We're just full of surprises huh? Glad to be able to take you by surprise like that. Regarding Takuya, I'll admit it was a little harsh when I was going through it but we rationalized that Takuya's very emotional right now (That and I know I wasn't exactly approachable at that age whenever I got upset... heh heh) but hopefully he'll snap out of it soon.
Now then, let's get to what you guys are here for, right?
Chapter 20: What Are Friends For?
"So this Digimon named Dracmon has been behind all of this crazy stuff?" JP inquired, stunned and relieved at the same time. Kouichi had gathered the rest of the Chosen Children together at his house, filling them in on the latest turn of events and a new plan of action.
No one could or wanted to believe that his own family had thrown out Takuya. It was a horrible thought.
"Poor Takuya..." Tommy whispered. The others nodded solemnly.
Kouichi inhaled sharply, "We have to help Takuya. Dracmon can manipulate him at will, so there's no way Takuya can defeat him."
"What are you saying?" Zoe asked, slightly nervous.
"We need to take down Dracmon. Without Takuya."
The others gasped. "Was this Kouji's suicidal idea?" JP asked heatedly. This was a dangerous proposition.
Kouichi held up his hands in defense. "It was both of ours."
"Just how are we going to beat this thing on our own?" JP asked, not liking the plan at all.
"That's what we need to figure out." Kouji answered simply.
"But what can we do?" Tommy asked while twiddling his thumbs. "I don't know if we can fight a Digimon like Takuya can."
Zoe nodded with Tommy, having remembered when she tried to help fight Ogremon and IceDevimon. The best she had done was simply annoy the large brutes.
"Look, I was able to deal with a whole group of Pagumon without having to be a Digimon." Kouji brought up. "I just had a pipe to fight with."
Tommy and JP shrugged, having both seen the display of prowess. "Yeah but… this Digimon sounds a lot tougher than those nasty toothy bouncy heads.
"So you're going to run away like a couple of cowards?" Kouji shot back heatedly.
JP flinched at Kouji's nasty glare. "I didn't say that!"
"Boys please," Zoe pleaded with them, "How can we fight this guy? What do we know about this guys besides the mind control?"
Kouji looked thoughtful, "Well... Um... "
"That's a good question..." Kouichi said softly. "Should we ask Takuya?"
"I'm not sure. Dracmon is a touchy subject for him. But, we really don't have much of a choice…" Kouji answered his twin.
"What if we check the D-Tector? Maybe it can show us this Dracmon thing." Tommy brought up. "You think that'll work?"
Kouichi smiled, liking the idea. "Yeah, that can work. We were able to learn about the DemiDevimon. We can learn about Dracmon."
"We should check right now. It might make Takuya feel a little better if he finds out more on how to deal with this guy." JP added on to the idea.
"Let's hope this works." Zoe muttered, praying that they could help their friend. She really wanted to make things right with him.
Takuya lay sound asleep in the next room. His body was trying desperately trying to recover from the extreme tolls taken. His emotions wrought havoc on his immune system, and given his recent fight with IceDevimon, he was combating a fever off and on for the past couple days.
Kouichi insisted Kouji bring him to their mother's house so she could keep an eye on the brunette's condition, and he's been here ever since.
Currently, Takuya was sleeping in Kouichi's room, while the others had their meeting in the kitchen. Kouichi tiptoed into his room, sneaking the red and black D-Tector from the desk. He returned to the kitchen and passed it to JP.
"Okay, let's take a look," the elder brunette said, taking the device into his hands.
JP inspected the device and took out a few tools from his jump suit and tinkered with the device. "Just give me a few minutes with this and I'll be able to figure everything out."
The others nodded and gave the eldest time to work his magic on the device.
"Let's see…" JP wiped the sweat off his forehead and smiled when the D-Tector came to life. "There we go!"
Everyone gathered around the device and saw the image of Dracmon appear on the screen. "Dracmon, undead Digimon known to cause mischief. Uses the eyes in the palms of its hands to hypnotize its enemies and bites using its Undead Fang to drain their life."
"Yikes. This guy really sounds nasty." Tommy muttered after hearing the description.
"At least we know what to expect." Zoe offered, trying to find an up to help the youngest. "So, what do we do?"
"Well, from the sound of it, Dracmon must not be that strong if it relies on hypnotism and tricks to get through." Kouji answered. "Though it's just speculation."
Kouichi peered at the description, "So it uses these eyes on its hands to control Digimon.."
"What are you insinuating Kouichi?" Zoe asked, hearing the wheels turning inside the boy's mind.
"Well... Maybe Takuya can fight after all." Kouichi started. The others looked at him like he was crazy. "No no! Listen! With Takuya's heightened senses, maybe he can fight without seeing!"
Despite the explanation, the others just continued giving him the same skeptical look as before.
"Come on guys. I'm serious, maybe this can work." Kouichi offered, trying to explain himself. "We probably couldn't do anything to destroy Dracmon ourselves but Takuya can. He just has to avoid making eye contact with those eyes in its hands."
"You want him to fight that thing blind? Even with the super hearing and smell I don't think it'll help him at all." JP stated, trying to show Kouichi the holes in his plan.
It didn't deter Kouichi any. He'd just have to work around these points. "Not if we become his eyes. If we just guide him, tell him where to go, he'll be able to fight that thing."
"How do you plan to do that?" Tommy asked. The plan seemed interesting but he wasn't sure if it was going to work.
Kouji who had stayed quiet the whole time finally spoke, "I think it could work."
Everyone turned and stared at the younger twin now. "You can't be serious." Zoe stated flatly.
"I am. Takuya's always been more in touch with his Digimon side than the rest of us ever were," Kouji explained, "With the right direction... This could work."
"What will work?" Takuya asked, now awake, albeit groggy.
The five kids exchanged nervous glances.
"Uh..."
Takuya glanced over JP and saw that he was tinkering with the D-Tector. "What the hell are you guys doing with my D-Tector? Did you take it while I was asleep?"
"Look, we can explain." JP replied, not liking the way Takuya was glaring at them.
"Takuya, we were just trying to figure out how to help you with Dracmon." Zoe told him, trying to ease the boy.
Takuya looked away, still feeling bad about the way he treated her before. He wanted to try and talk to her about what happened but didn't know if it was the right time or not... maybe not right now. So long as Dracmon was still able to screw around with his mind, there wasn't much of a chance to reconcile. He just didn't want to be angry anymore. And now, after hearing that they just wanted to help him, Takuya wished he could just stop being on edge all the time.
"We really want to be able to help you Takuya." Tommy added in after seeing the look on his friend's face.
He lowered his head, "I know... but... I don't know what to do and... and if Dracmon comes after me again... he'll use you to get to me and... if you guys got injured-"
"We know that Takuya." Zoe reassured him, "But Kouichi may have thought of a solution."
"Really?" Takuya inquired, "what is it?"
Kouichi looked at Takuya. "According to the info we got from your D-Tector, Dracmon uses eyes on the palms of his hands to hypnotize its victims- Do you remember Dracmon doing that to you?"
Takuya nodded, suppressing a feral growl rising in his throat. "Yes. I remember those eyes."
"If you fought Dracmon blindfolded-"
"Blindfolded?! Are you crazy?" Takuya half shouted.
"Just hear me out alright?" Kouichi replied, having expected Takuya to be skeptical of the idea as well. "You have your heightened senses, and without having to rely on your sight your sense of hearing and smell will be even better. That and with us guiding you, being your eyes, you'll be able to fight that thing in a fair fight. You can beat that thing without it being able to hypnotize you."
Takuya folded his arms and processed the information. He greatly disliked the idea of fighting blind and even more the idea of getting his friends involved in this dangerous fight but it did offer him a chance to fight back without being manipulated.
"Look Takuya, it really doesn't seem that strong if it had to rely on hypnotism. If you can take that away from it, you'll be able to beat it." Kouji offered, presenting Takuya with new information. "And JP can make something that can give us a way to be able to communicate with you."
"Yeah, I'm sure I can whip something up that can do that." JP added. "We could just use something like a Bluetooth or something."
Takuya had to admit that this could work after thinking about it a little despite how unfavorable fighting blind sounded. But he could trust his friends. Maybe they can be his eyes.
"Alright... But I want to practice first." Takuya said, relenting. The others smiled at the boy. "It's worth a shot," he added.
With that settled, they decided to set up an obstacle course through the kitchen and living room, to see how good of a plan this truly was. Cushions and chairs were arranged haphazardly throughout the two adjoining rooms.
Kouji removed his bandana and tied it around Takuya's eyes. Takuya gulped nervously and waited for their instructions. The moment he lost his eyesight he already began feeling tense. "Are you sure about this, guys?"
"Trust us Takuya, you're going to be fine." Kouichi offered the boy. "Alright, let's give it a shot."
The boy took a breath and took a few hesitant steps into the course.
"Takuya, take two steps right." "Watch out for that chair!" "Careful with the cushion!" "Carefully step forward a little." And so on and so on. Takuya had been struggling with their instructions. Some of their directions had been helpful but others had lead him toppling over chairs.
"Guys… this is getting a little difficult…" Takuya told them while waving his hands around not wanting to collide with anything.
Kouji rolled his eyes, "You're still human, or did you forget?"
"Uh... my bad?" Takuya replied sheepishly.
"It might make a difference," Kouji countered.
Takuya snorted, "Alright! I get it!" Takuya concentrated and evolved into Flamon, immediately noticing a huge improvement.
"Let's try this again." Kouichi suggested, leading Takuya back to the kitchen while the others set up the obstacles again.
The flame Digimon took his place, ready to try again. He started forward and was bombarded by his voices voices attempting to guide him. It was sensory overload. He couldn't figure out what any of them were saying.
"Guys! One at a time! It's difficult enough not being able to see!" Takuya shouted at them after JP and Kouichi's directions guided him right into a wall.
"Okay, Let's take turns. Whoever can guide Takuya the most effectively should give the orders during the fight," Zoe said, hoping that this way, Takuya would have a better chance of success. "Tommy, why don't you go first?"
The boy grinned, "Alright!"
"Remember, speed and accuracy are key here," Kouichi advised the younger boy.
"Okay Takuya. Here we go." Tommy had Takuya step forward and was already getting on a good start. "Left two steps, move forward. Stop. Cushion, half step right, two forward."
"Wow, Tommy's really doing good." Zoe mused to the others as he guided their friend through the obstacle course.
"It's those videogames. He's a pro." JP replied, amazed by how well their youngest was doing.
Tommy grinned at the others after he had gotten Takuya all the way to the end. "I did it! And Takuya didn't get hurt!"
"Thank goodness." Takuya muttered, not wanting to have run into the wall again. "So, I got to do that again huh? Four more times."
"You'll be fine." Kouji told him and had Tommy set him up to run the course in reverse. Kouji took his turn and didn't fare much worse than Tommy. Their youngest held the best record so far.
JP took his turn and much to Takuya's dismay, had lead the boy through several of the obstacles. "Not so fast! Watch out for the chair! Go that way! The other way!" He moaned when Takuya toppled over another chair and fell flat on the floor.
"Oh, that looked like it hurt," Kouichi stated as Zoe helped Takuya to his feet.
Takuya grunted, "No offense JP, but I'm scared for when you get a license."
They laughed as Kouichi stepped up for his go. His direction got Takuya though the course the fastest but he knocked over quite a few things in do so.
"Alright Zoe, You're up." Kouji told the blonde as she took up the calling position.
Takuya stood at the ready, wanting this to be done and over with already.
"O-okay Takuya! Um, go straight, good- now go left, I mean right, right!" She winced as Takuya crashed into a chair and hit the wall hard.
"Oww..."
She hurried to his side, "Are you okay Taku?"
Takuya removed the blindfold, "Yeah, but I'm afraid of when you can drive too." She smacked the boy with a pillow.
Trying to prevent any further injury or destruction Kouichi intervened. "Okay! So Kouji and Tommy did the best out of all of us."
"Looks like it." The group turned to the two with the best time. "So now all we have to do is figure out which one of you'll guide Takuya."
They were distracted however when the front door opened. "Kouichi, I'm home." Tomoko came into the living room and stopped when she saw the obstacle course and the group of friends standing around Takuya who was still in his Digimon form.
"We can explain."
"Was this Kouichi's idea?" the mother asked. She sighed when they all nodded. Of course it was Kouichi's idea. "That's all I need to know. Just try not to hurt each other. Especially you Takuya. Understood?"
"Yes ma'am." Takuya replied, not wanting to get on the mother's bad side.
The others just watched as Mrs. Kimura just made her way around the obstacle course and into the other room without further explanation.
"Is it sad that she doesn't ask questions when with Kouichi involved?" JP asked curiously not expecting Tomoko to be so nonchalant what they were doing in the living room.
Kouichi just grinned. Kouji rolled his eyes. "She knows he's trouble," the younger twin insisted.
They laughed. "Okay back to business boys," Zoe called the rowdy bunch to order.
"What Zoe?" Kouichi asked, not understanding why she didn't think they were through just yet.
The blonde smiled, "We know Kouji and Tommy can guide Takuya through a maze, but what about dodging attacks and hitting targets?"
They caught on. "Now I see where you're going with this Zoe."
"Don't even think about throwing things in the house Kouichi!" his mother's voice shouted from laundry room in the hall.
"My mother, she has spoken. Let's go outside and do this. That way we'd also be less likely to burn something down." Kouichi told them and started to put the furniture in their proper places.
"Where can we take Takuya to practice?" Tommy asked while they were tidying up.
"We could look around. Maybe around my old school. It's probably deserted still after the fight with Goblimon." Takuya offered.
"Are you sure it'll be vacant?" Zoe asked.
Takuya just shrugged in response. "We won't know until we find out. It's worth a shot."
With that in mind, Takuya reverted back to his human form and the group went outside and to the streets, looking for a place to have Takuya practice. It didn't take them long to arrive at the schoolyard but it had been effectively contained to keep everyone out.
"Well, so much for that idea." JP said glumly, going back to thinking up a new place.
Takuya just stared at the burnt out school. Most of it was still intact and partially untouched by flames or damaged by smoke; But parts remained that were thoroughly scorched beyond repair.
"Is this such a good idea?" Zoe asked, nervous about trespassing.
The other s looked to urge her on, that it wasn't a huge big deal. Well, until Takuya went ridged, glaring past his friend. "Well lookie here, it's the little freakshow! Back at the scene of the crime?"
The others turned and Zoe too went rigid when she saw who was approaching them.
The ones approaching the group were none other than Shinoba and his group. What they were doing around the school was anybody's guess though by the looks of things they were ready for a fight.
"Hey Takuya, is this the guy who's been giving you trouble?" Kouji asked without taking his glare off the bully and his posse.
"Yeah, that's him alright." Takuya answered and stepped forward to face the upper classman. "What do you want Shinoba?"
Shinoba just sneered and examined the others. He recognized Zoe from before but the others were new faces to him, not that it mattered. "So freak show, do your friends know the truth about you?"
"You mean this?" Takuya snarled, eyes turning wild and bright green. Flames licked across his hands. Kouji instinctively placed his hand on Takuya's chest to hold him back.
JP go between the boys, "What's it to you? Why don't you just back off man?"
"Why don't you go f-" Zoe started before Kouichi stopped her.
"Zoe- Language."
Shinoba growled, not taking their insults well. "Look at what he did to the school? That freak is nothing but a horrible monster!"
"You don't know anything about Takuya you big jerk!" Tommy told Shinoba off, amazing the bully that a boy this young would stand up to him.
"You're not going to mess with us creep. And certainly are not going to pick on our friend." Kouji glared dangerously at the bullies sending shivers down their spines.
The posse following Shinoba did not like the turn of events. They didn't expect such loyalty from Takuya's friends. The look on Shinoba's face showed that he was furious with his failure. He hadn't looked this furious since Ayumi dumped him.
"You watch- the freak is nothing but a monster! He'll turn on you- then you'll be sorry!" Shinoba growled.
Takuya glared at him, shaking with anger. Kouji still held his hand firmly to the boy's chest to prevent him from snapping.
"Why don't you crawl back into the sewer you came from?" Kouichi said dangerously, possibly putting even Kouji's dark tones to shame.
Shinoba flinched, not willing to back off, but his typical intimidation methods weren't working. He glared at Takuya. "I'll get you runt- I'll make everyone see the monster you really are!"
Takuya growled, his rage boiling up but he was held back by the twins in front of him and by Zoe taking his hand in hers despite the heat radiating from him.
"You don't need to stoop to his level. You're better than he is." Zoe told him trying to help him calm down. His hand was hot to the touch but she was not willing to let go. "He's nothing but a thug."
Shinoba growl grew deeper. He didn't understand where their loyalty was coming from. He couldn't understand why anyone was loyal to someone like him. Despite his tries someone was always standing up for Takuya.
"S-Shinoba, maybe we should go…" One of the lackeys suggested, intimidated by the deadly glares of the twins.
The brute thought about the situation. As much as he would love to kick Takuya's face in, he couldn't do it alone, or have the brunette's friends intervene. "You win this time runt. You can't hide behind your little friends forever."
With that, the bully and his band of thugs backed down and slunk away. Zoe huffed, "God do I hate him."
"Man I don't blame you for attacking him Takky." JP admitted, watching the group slink away.
Kouji looked at Takuya, fists still clenched, and eyes tinged green around the edges. "Hey. Ease off Takuya. He's gone now."
"For now- until Shinoba decides to rear his ugly head again" the boy muttered, trying to let his anger go.
"Come on Takuya, just forget about that guy. He's not worth it." Kouichi told him in hopes to calm his friend down.
Takuya sighed loudly and tried to calm down. It had helped a little when Zoe took his hand again. It took him a good moment but he was able to put his anger aside. "Guys… thanks, I really appreciate what you did back there."
"Hey, we're your friend." Tommy replied. "You can always count on us." Takuya smiled, if only a little, at the youngest.
"Are you going to be okay Taku?" Zoe asked after seeing his smile.
"Yeah, I'll be fine." He answered. "How about we try at the target practice. I'm itching to let loose some flames."
"Pyro." Kouji muttered. Takuya swatted at him.
The group moved around to the side of the schoolyard to the sports field. It was hidden from plain view by the burnt out school and gave them plenty of open space for Takuya to practice. The group set to work setting up obstacles and gathering things like twigs and dirt clods to throw at Takuya.
"Alright! Let's give this a go then!" Kouichi exclaimed brightly.
Takuya transformed int Flamon and took up a start position. Zoe tied a bandana around Takuya's eyes, while Tommy and Kouji stood by waiting to direct the boy. Kouichi, Zoe and JP all hung back, out of the way with their artillery at the ready.
"Okay Takuya, since fireballs will be hard to aim we're going to try waves of flames. Once we're good enough we can work up to fireballs." Kouji told his friend who nodded in response. "Alright. Tommy, you can go first."
"Ready!" Tommy told them, getting in position to guide Takuya.
"Go forward ten paces and jump two feet forward, there's a log in the way!" Tommy commanded having Takuya follow his instructions. "Turn to your right, horizontal slash in front of you!"
Takuya did as he was told and swung his hand, releasing a short wave of fire and incinerating several large clods of dirt thrown at him. "Did I get it?"
"Yeah! But keep your guard up!" Tommy told him and saw that the others were preparing to throw again. "Get ready!"
Tommy did very well in guiding Takuya, managing to hit most of the targets. The others grinned; things were going very well. Takuya was mastering taking directions from his friends.
"Alright Kouji, Let's see how you do!"
Kouji took up his position. "Ready Takuya?"
"Let's go Kouji!"
The started off well, Kouji's short, simple directions were accurate and efficient, making use of every second in the air and minimizing his time on the ground. "Right- up- fire!"
Tommy and the others watched in awe as Takuya released his flames and destroyed the clods with Kouji's directions.
"Down- left- sweep!" "Center- fire!" "Turn around- up- fire!" "Jump- down- Fire!"
Takuya followed each instruction, trusting Kouji's instructions to give him the proper details he needed. Topped with his heightened senses he was able to shoot down each clod without much difficulty.
The others stopped, having used up all of their ammunition. "Wow… I can't believe how good they were. They were completely in synch. "
Takuya took off his blindfold and allowed himself to adjust and look around. "So, how did we do?"
"You guys did great!" JP congratulated. "That was un-freaking-believable!"
Kouichi grinned, "You two were fantastic!"
"No wonder you two became Susanoomon!" Tommy exclaimed.
Takuya blushed, "Were we really that good?"
Zoe nodded, "You two were on the same wavelength the entire time."
"So looks like Kouji will be directing Takuya in the fight against Dracmon."
"If that's alright with Tommy." Kouji said coolly, not wanting to tread on the younger boy's toes.
"It's alright. You guys made the best team." Tommy answered.
Takuya smiled and reverted back to his human form. "I am so ready to burn that sucker good. That freak won't know what hit him."
"So, what do we do now?" JP asked, seeing how their training went off without a hitch. "You guys got this down no sweat."
"I guess we could head back." Takuya answered with a shrug. "I dunno about you guys but I could use a break. All that practice really worked me good."
"Let's head back to my place then." Kouichi suggested. "I'm sure my mom won't mind if we hang out there for a little while. So long as we don't make a mess."
Kouji raised a skeptical brow at his brother. "Like your little flour war in my kitchen?"
"Details, Details" Kouichi replied, waving his brother off. Kouji rolled his eyes.
The group set off, returning to Kouichi's home. The twins' mother was preparing food in the kitchen greeting them warmly all as they entered. "Welcome back everyone."
"Hi Mom," The twins replied in unison.
"Hello Ms. Kimura," The others replied as they shuffled into the living room.
She smiled at them as they passed, "Did you all have fun outside?"
"You could say that." Zoe answered, smiling brightly.
"No trouble I hope." The mother asked them. She didn't know what the deal was with the obstacle course, only that it was one of Kouichi's schemes.
"No trouble Mom." Kouichi answered with a smile on his face.
Mrs. Kimura sighed and nodded, taking Kouichi's word for it. She knew he was a trouble maker at times but it was usually always harmless so she decided not to worry about it. "Alright then. Well, you kids try to keep the house in one piece, alright?"
"Yes Mom." "Mrs. Kimura." They all answered simultaneously as they situated themselves in the living room.
They had decided upon a movie to kill the time but while they were watching the twins would turn their gaze to the goggle head and blonde.
"Think they'll make up?" Kouichi whispered to his brother, once he was certain Takuya was too engrossed in the film to be paying them any attention.
He just shrugged, "Give it time..." Kouji paused remembering how broken Takuya had been that night, "Dracmon needs to be taken care of first, else he might ruin Takuya's life completely..."
"Got it." The twins fell silent, trying to return their attention to the movie.
Kouji found it extremely difficult to focus on it. His best friend's life was in total turmoil and they were just watching a movie? On the one hand, it was a normal activity, something to just let the brunette's mind relax and forget for a while. On the other hand, Kouji felt they should be out looking for Dracmon and trying to find a way to fix everything with Takuya's family.
He knew Dracmon would have to be taken out of the picture before they can work on helping Takuya make everything right in his life. The issue was that they had no means to track their target down. Unless there was another contraption in the D-Tector they had nothing to work with. They would have to see if JP can make something work with it.
Kouji sighed and continued to run everything through in his mind. Dracmon could appear from anywhere. They would have to keep their guard up.
"Try to relax bro. There's not much else we can do right now. It's just a waiting game now." Kouichi whispered to his brother after seeing him lost in thought.
"It's a little hard to relax right now." Kouji replied, quietly enough to not get anyone else's attention.
Kouichi nodded, "I know, but you need to relax. Everyone knows when you're uptight-" Kouji opened his mouth to retort, "But- you need to just keep calm and cool, for Takuya's sake. If you're worked up, that'll only upset him."
Kouji sighed, "Yeah... Okay..."
"Take Takuya back home after the movie, I'll hold everyone else here and try to come up with a plan"
It would have to be enough for now, Kouji agreed to the plan and tried to focus on the movie. When the time came, he dragged Takuya out the door, promising the prospect of food at home. Once they were gone, the remaining Chosen cleaned up the living room, putting it back into order.
