Rose was eating lunch in her room at the Leaky Cauldron smiling. She had spent the morning trying not to push her uncle Harry into the bed and have her entirely too wicked way with him. The hormones in this teenage body certainly worked just fine. She even doubt Harry would have resisted as his hormones seemed to be working just fine too, judging by the looks he was giving her and the fact he kept a pillow or his school books over his groin most of the time they were sitting on his bed talking.

She took a deep breath and focused on her lunch. She could not afford to be distracted right now. She focused on the note she was writing to Arthur Weasley. It was listing all of the Horcruxes, what they were, where they were, and how to destroy them. She was also warning him about Dumbledore's role in the rise of Voldemort, the history of Tom Riddle, and how Dumbledore had manipulated Harry's life. She also included a list of Death Eaters and their allies in the Ministry. She hoped he would accept and believe this. She signed it using the appropriate auror codes and Ministry sigils so that should help. Arthur was one of the few people around right now she would trust.

She finished her note and her lunch. She would stop by the Ministry and make sure this got delivered to Arthur himself. She would then go find out how things were going with her mother and her grandparents.

The Ministry was just as easy to break into and navigate as she had read about. The laughingly called guard at the door had not even asked why a teenage girl was wanting to see Arthur Weasley. She made sure it got to his desk and was placed where only he would find it.

Getting to an apparate point she cast the spell that would locate her mother and traveled there. They were still in the hotel. Knocking on the door she smiled when Daniel opened the door.

"Hello Daniel. How are things now?"
"Ahh Rose. We were just talking about you. Come in."

Hermione was sitting on the bed across from her mother. She looked at the girl with a grim expression.

"So did I miss anything?" Rose asked chipperly as she sat down on the end of her mother's bed.

"Nothing other than we've been trying to figure out if I've been doing all of this because of potions or spells." Hermione said worriedly.

"She told us about something called the Imperious?" Daniel said sitting beside Emma on their bed.

Rose took a deep breath, "The Imperious. One of the few spells that are an instant life in prison term if its confirmed you used it on someone. It could make almost anyone do something, no matter their morals. It could make you rape Hermione Daniel, or kill her. It takes a incredibly strong willpower to resist it. I've only known a handful of people who could."

"Raping my own daughter? It could actually do that?"

"Hugo was an auror. He saw that happen several times. While we got rid of the Death Eaters we never got rid of criminals." she shook her head sadly, "Its just human nature."
Daniel looked sick, "So can you check. I don't want her to go back to that school if anything had been done to her."
Rose shook her head, "Unfortunately as far as I could find out mother is just a vulnerable headstrong girl. Father was the only male who paid any attention to her other than Uncle Harry so she allowed herself to believe she loved him and could make their relationship work. There was never any signs she was love potioned or confunded by him."
Hermione hung her head, "Well harry doesn't feel that way about me."
Rose took Hermione's hand, "Mum, Harry is a confused, lonely young boy right now, he has never had a loving family to show him how to express his feelings. They've spent his entire life doing just the opposite. Forcing him to hide and bury his feelings. He told me before he died that he had always loved you deep down but when he saw how Ron made you happy he backed off and accepted Ginny."

Hermione looked up with a frown, "He really said that?"

"Scouts honor mum. Like I said Sirius had walked away from all of us. Lily, Al, Hugo and I were the only ones of the kids who stayed with him at the end. Aunt Luna died a few years after him." She said with a heavy sigh.

"Oh."

"Well still could you check her or do we have to go back to Diagon Alley to avoid getting picked up?" Emma asked politely. "We just want to make sure she is clear of any outside influences."
"I understand. And I'm operating outside of the trace. You see its installed in each and every wand, registered with the government and while its supposed to be turned off when you become an adult they just turn off the alarms. They still keep track of where every person is when they cast a spell with their wand." She said waving her hand at Hermione.

"So if I cast something with my wand they can detect it but you doing it wandlessly they can't?"

"Not unless they are right on top of me and can sense the magical energy being used. It works the same for any witch or wizard." Rose explained, "I can't sense any mental alterations. Like I thought she is just a teenager."

"I am going to wind up in therapy before this is all over." Hermione said shaking her head, "Don't worry mum. It'll be alright in the end."

"And there aren't any potions that can do this too?" Daniel asked. "Stuff like roofies and bennies?"

Rose looked at Daniel with an odd half-grin.

"What I went to Uni in the seventies. It was quite a groovy time. I had this roommate named Tony that hung out with bad people." Daniel explained.

"I was a good girl." Emma said with a chuckle.

"Okay. There are more things than I want to know about my parents going on." Hermione said.

"It happens.? Rose said. "As for potions I would need a better lab kit than the student edition. Fortunately I gave Harry such a lab kit in his room."

Hermione raised her eyebrow at Rose suspiciously, "You gave Harry a professional lab kit?"

"He has to be well rounded to defeat Voldemort. I have begun tutoring him. That's where I was this morning." Rose said with a smile. "So since I was going to be spending a lot of time with him I gave his room a bit of an upgrade, as well as reminded his relatives that magic is not something to trifle with."

Hermione looked concerned, "Oh. So you spent the morning with him."
"Yes and if grampa and gramma will let me I can take you to visit him, and run your blood through the lab." Rose said politely.

"Mum, Dad?"

The two adult Grangers looked at each other before Dan asked, "She would be safe there? If his family doesn't like magic."
"I would not allow anything bad to happen to her. I promise." Rose said.

"Okay. We have a couple more questions then you can take her to get her blood checked." Daniel stated. When Rose nodded he went on.

"First what if Hermione doesn't go back to Hogwarts?" Emma asked. Rose glanced at her mother who gave a slight shudder but said nothing.

"If mum doesn't go back she'll grow up and be safe. I have no idea what she will wind up doing. To be honest as long as she doesn't marry Ron Weasley what happens to her is not part of the big picture for my mission. The only one that HAS to go back is Harry. Otherwise too many people will die and the magical world will never recover." Rose said with her eyes closed, "Some of the simulations I ran on the big box even gave Voldemort a chance of winning which was Not always the worst case scenario."

Hermione cleared her throat, "I'm going to go back." She said firmly.

"We haven't decided yet pumpkin." Daniel firmly replied.

"Harry needs me." she retorted firmly.

Rose opened her eyes and decided to nod in acquiescence. "Mum is important to Harry. She could be replaced, but it would not be easy, and it would hurt Harry a great deal."

"See." Hermione declared.

"Alright. The second question is, are you going to be going to Hogwarts with them?" Emma asked.

"Yes. I have set up an identity as Rose Henderson. A transfer student from Canada who will be in their year. I will be able to convince the hat to put me into Gryffindor, of course that is the house I was in at Hogwarts anyhow." she said proudly.

"Nice. Okay. Well I guess go get her blood tested while we go take a walk along the cliffs or see the castle." Daniel said. "Although one more thing before you two come back could you go by the house and pack a few bags for us? Plus I think Crookshanks would like something more than some hotel shop milk."

"Alright Grampa. Although why are you and Gramma trusting me so much?"

Emma looked at Dan who said, "You look and act so much like Hermione its no doubt to use. Besides you're the first person from that world to tell us anything."

"Oh. Well I'm glad you trust me." She said giving Dan and Emma a hug.

"Okay. We are going to show Hermione we do forgive her and that we will trust her. From here on out its going to be a blank slate and a new beginning. But one more lie, one more episode of hiding things from us. And you won't have to worry about choosing their world or ours." Daniel declared. "Understand young ladies?"

Hermione nodded with an abashed expression, "Yes father."

Rose nodded, "Yes sir."
"Alright. Go meet up with your boyfriend." Emma said, "Just be careful and don't do anything too naughty."
"We won't." Rose said grabbing her mother's arm and apparating out.

"Why do I suddenly feel both sorry for and jealous of that boy." Daniel asked rhetorically.

"Because Rose seems to be her mother's daughter." Emma replied.

"Yeah." Daniel agreed getting up, "And Hermione is her mother's daughter indeed." He said smiling. Emma just grinned in response as they held hands walking out of the door.

Hermione looked around the clearing in the woods they were in. "This is not where Harry lives I am guessing."
"No this is a clearing in the forest of Dean. Father had abandoned you and Harry here while on the Horcrux hunt. You were so broken hearted and hurting that Harry wanted to comfort you only he didn't know how. He wanted to show you he cared but the Horcrux made his emotions even more scrambled than usual as well as your own." Rose stated tersely.

"Okay. I get it you hated your father. Do you have to keep rubbing it in?"

Rose took a deep breath, "So what are you going to do about your feelings for Harry? Are you going to tell him?'

"I. I don't know. What if he didn't develop those feelings until later. What if he developed them because of something I did later. This is all very confusing and annoying." She said crossing her arms.

"Well one of us is going to be his girlfriend. Or I may set him up with Luna. She needs someone to love and care about her."
"But he's your uncle!" Hermione declared in disgust.

"Not by blood. I just call him that because he married my father's sister." Rose said with a shrug.

"So what? You want me to just seduce him?" Hermione scowled.

Rose rolled her eyes and said, "No, I want you to sit down and talk to him about your feelings and his. Be honest. Why do you have such a hard time with that?"

Hermione pursed her lips as she stared at her daughter, "Because I'm scared to lose Harry. Do you know how many friends I have right now?"
Rose sighed, she did know and understood the fear of rejection that had led her mother to marry Ron Weasley without dipping her toe into the dating pool. "You have Ron, Harry and you think Ginny is your friend but she isn't. Not really. She is a one trick pony that is jealous of your skill with spells. The mere fact that you are somewhat able to ride a broom is not impressive to her. Luna was a much better friend to you but you rejected her right now because of her strange behavior, and her little creatures she talks about. Which are quite real by the way."

Hermione looked at Rose with a frown, "Okay. I guess you do know."
"I know as much about your life as you do. As I said I interviewed you, I studied you. I have spent most of my adult life preparing for this mission. I briefly thought about coming back and taking over your body. Only the probability of mission failure or total destruction of the universe was too high to justify the risk." Rose declared crossing her arms in a familiar stance to Hermione.

Hermione laughed, "I don't suppose I could ground you or send you to your room?"
"Mother I'm the one that's older and more mature of us." She said with a smirk, "Grandpa must be dancing with joy at the Doctor Who implications."

"They haven't quite gotten that far yet. They spent most of the morning psychoanalyzing me." Hermione admitted glumly.

"Well you have not been acting like a good daughter to them Hermione." Rose said.

"Not mum." Hermione quipped with an oddly disappointed expression.

"Sorry. I realized I need to break myself of calling you that before we get around other people, especially Dumbledore. I tried to make sure the time travel wouldn't activate any alarms in the DOM but there's always a risk." Rose explained hastily. "And you are deflecting from the point."

Hermione nodded, "Right. So we talk to Harry and see how he feels about all of this."

"Exactly." Rose said with a smile. Understanding that her mother did not like to face her own personality flaws, apparently when she was younger that trait was far worse.

"And your primary mission is to keep harry alive and help him defeat Voldemort?"

"Exactly. Number one on the list." Rose confirmed. "Why?"
"Because you probably know more about the situation than I do right?"

"I do. I know things I haven't told you and am not going to tell you until I make sure you're on the same side as me." Rose said firmly.

Hermione looked down again, "I deserved that."

"Yes you did."

"Look Rose. How about we both try and be Harry's friend for now. Until we get this thing with Voldemort dealt with and we let his feelings develop naturally?"

"You're still scared he'll reject you."

Hermione bit her lip as she nodded, "I'm not really ready yet. Alright?"

Rose smiled, "Alright. But I'm not exactly going to prevent him developing feelings for me so you might not want to hesitate too much."

Hermione started laughing.

Rose looked at her with concerned confusion, "What's so funny?"

"Oh I was just thinking. Here we are mother and daughter fighting over the same boy. This is the stuff of the tabloids."

Rose grinned, "So you are beginning to accept the truth?"

"I might be. Any other argument just doesn't have enough support." Hermione said with an annoyed shrug of reluctant acceptance.

"I know how much it pains you to say the words I don't know. So that means a lot."

"Okay. Let's just not tell Harry yet. I don't think he's ready to accept this."
"True, just having two cute girls treat him nicely is going to be mind blowing enough." Rose agreed.

Harry was doing some cleaning downstairs. His aunt Petunia had asked him to help out very nicely as she kept looking around, almost like she was expecting Rose to appear out of the cupboards. Dudley had decided to go someplace other than the house which made Harry happy.

The backdoor opened and Rose entered, followed by Hermione. Harry's heart skipped a beat when he saw his brown haired friend. "Hermione!"

"Hi Harry. Rose asked me to come over here with her."

"Oh that's great." Harry said with a goofy grin on his face still.

"Can we go up to your room. I need to use your potions lab." Rose asked.

"Uh sure. Let me finish the hoovering." Harry said gesturing towards the living room. Petunia was wiping her dining room table down, while looking at the two girls with a very gimlet expression.

Rose smiled and waved her hand. Suddenly the entire house room was a clean, polished, and slightly lemony scented environment. "Problem solved."
"Right. Magic. I need to learn that charm."

"Its a basic second year charm harry." Both girls said simultaneously before glancing at each other and giggling.

Harry just nodded and led the way to his room.

Rose went to his desk to setup the lab. Hermione looked around, "So this is your room harry?"

"Yeah after Rose upgraded everything."
"I did not like the way it looked before." Rose grumped. "Okay who wants to go first?"

"Go first for what?" Harry asked hesitantly.

"I am going to test your blood for potions. Just to make sure there is no undue outside influence." Rose stated holding up a syringe.

"Uh are you safe to do that?"
Rose grinned at Harry, "I'm rather experienced with this. Trust me Harry, please?"

Harry sighed and held his arm out. Rose drew some blood and put several drops in a number of vials. She replaced the syringe and repeated the process with Hermione. "Okay it'll take a couple of minutes for the vials to react to your blood."
"What will this tell us?" Harry asked.

"I'm testing for several common potions. Loyalty, compulsions, magic or emotional suppression. I should also probably test you for mental manipulations. I cleared Hermione already."

Harry nodded, "Oh okay. What do I need to do?"
"You'll just need to sit on the bed and relax Harry. We'll get to that in a minute." Rose said, "But I want to check the potions first."

"Who would mess with us though?" Hermione asked. Sitting on the bed slightly near but slightly far from harry.

Rose absentmindedly shrugged as , "Dumbledore was a very manipulative and self-centered person. A great many things came out in the years after his death."

Harry grunted in confusion, "Hunh? After his death?"

Rose looked up sharply with a sigh, "Harry. When I first showed up I told you things were a bit complicated with me. This is one of those things."

Harry frowned at her with a stubborn expression.
"I promise you. I am here to help you and am on your side. I may sometimes say or do things that won't make sense at the moment but eventually they will. I just need you to trust me okay?" Rose earnestly said.

"Okay. I'll try." Harry said but he turned to Hermione, "Do you trust her?"

Hermione thought for a second then nodded, "Like she was a member of my own family." When Rose snorted slightly Harry looked between the girls in confusion again but didn't say anything else.

Looking at Harry's vials she frowned, "This is interesting. You have several potions recently active in your bloodstream Harry."

Hermione jumped up to look over Rose's shoulder. "Show me what you're looking at."

"See how the colors shifted on these vials? That indicates a libido suppressant, a minor loyalty compulsion potion and a pacification potion." Rose pointed out. Harry had stood behind the girls.

"Are they active?" The libido enhancer has begun to wear off. Those have to be introduced weekly in teen males. The loyalty compulsion is mild and should wear off in a week or so, and the pacification is about the same." She said holding up the three relevant vials.

"Why would someone give me those?"

"Your mother's temper was legendary Harry. When she did get angry whomever felt her wrath knew they had the full weight and measure of a Valkyrie land on them." Rose stated with awe. "At least that's what I've heard and been told."

"So they think I might have inherited that?" Harry asked.

"Possibly. I need to do some deeper tests. They might have begun giving that to you after the Aunt Marge inflation incident." Rose said.

"Harry didn't intend to blow her up." Hermione said.

"Yeah but I was incredibly mad at her and was trying not to hurt her, she kept insulting my parents and I lost it." Harry explained pacing.

Rose nodded, "Anger, passion, fear. Magic responds to strong emotions by carrying out our subconscious desires. One reason many older and more experienced magicals have developed better emotional control. Also one reason why developing dementia or Bendai's syndrome is a very bad thing."

"Bendai's Syndrome?" Hermione asked.

"It causes a loss of emotional and magical control. Usually only occurs in magicals over the age of 200." Rose said casually. "Okay Harry. The other two I wonder about. A libido suppressant seems a bit overkill and I can't tell who the loyalty compulsion is keyed to. Its such a minor strength one that it must be enhancing loyalties that already exist."
"What about Hermione's blood?" Harry asked pointing at the vials. "Those two look like they changed the same color as mine."
Rose picked up Hermione's vials and frowned, "A libido suppressant and a loyalty potion. Same as you Harry."

"A libido suppressant? But I feel fine." Hermione replied. Then she blushed as she clamped her mouth shut quickly.

"So we've been potioned to be loyal to someone. But not enough to be obvious about it?" Harry asked for clarification.

"So it would seem. Hermione has had no mental manipulations but we had better check you out Harry." Rose said.

Harry nodded, "So just sit down and relax."
"As much as you can with two girls, alone with you in your room." Rose teased, noticing the blush creeping up Harry's face.

"I take it the libido suppressant is wearing off?" Hermione smirked.

Harry took a deep breath but said, "Just a bit."

Rose stepped behind Harry and joked, "Judging by the bulge I'd say more than just a bit."
Harry pulled a handy book over his lap quickly, "So is there anything?"

Rose cast her spells and frowned. She cast them again with a growl.

"So there is something?" Hermione asked worriedly.

"Yes. Several obliviates. I'll have to work carefully to unlock them." Rose said carefully, "Fortunately Obliviate just collapses the memory into a hole and then smooths over the mental landscape so you forget that you forgot something. Fortunately if you know what you're looking for you can find it."

"So can you reverse it? I want to know what I forgot!" Harry declared in a grumpy tone.

"I can just relax Harry. I need you to be calm so I don't mess anything up. I'm not a certified obliviator, so I'll have to work a little bit more carefully at it."
Harry took a deep breath before Hermione took his hand, "It'll be okay Harry. We'll figure out who did this."

"Fortunately I don't see any major alterations or false memories implanted. So that's good." Rose said.

Harry took a deep breath and nodded. "They just took things from me."
Rose rubbed his temples, "Okay Harry I'll start working backwards from most recent to the oldest. Fortunately there were not very many."
"Okay. I'm ready." Harry said.

Rose touched both temples and began chanting softly. A few moments later Harry gasped.

"Harry?" Hermione worriedly called out his name.

"I'm okay. It just came back to me. I don't know why this was erased. I was telling Ron I was going to ask you out to the Yule Ball. He didn't seem to care and then Snape got snippy with me. That's all the memory was." Harry was shaking his head in confusion. "That doesn't seem like a big deal."
"Maybe, but you asked Parvati to the ball and I went with Viktor. Which changed the way things happened from there." Hermione pointed out.

"One concealed memory is not a pattern." Rose stated. "You up for another one?"

Harry nodded. This one did not take very long before Harry was shaking his head, taking his glasses off he rubbed the bridge of his nose.

"Harry what is it?" Hermione asked.

"Ron. I was telling Ron the next day about how it felt when you were riding behind me on Buckbeak. How it felt to have your arms around me and have you pressed against me." Harry said with a slight blush.

"Twice you were talking to Ron about me and that specific memory got erased." Hermione observed with a frown.

"Okay that may just be a coincidence. I don't think Ron has anything to do with this. He's just another victim too."
Rose raised her eyebrow but said nothing else. "Alright, there are three more. Are you going to be able to handle it?"

Harry took a deep breath and squeezed Hermione's hand, "Yeah. I'm good."

Rose unlocked the next one to reveal that it was after Hermione had been petrified. Harry was talking to Ron about how scared he was Hermione would never be able to recover, how she would die. The next one to be unlocked was Harry joking with Ron about how cute Hermione looked as a cat girl. Among a few other things Harry refused to reveal although he blushed quite brightly.

Hermione and Rose exchanged a suspicious look before she unlocked the last memory. Harry was sweating and pale by the end of this one.

"Harry are you alright?" What did you remember?"

"Ron. I was telling Ron about the mirror. What I. What I saw in it. I saw you, you and me as grown ups with a baby. I saw it." Harry said panting.

"The common element in everyone of these memories is Ron." Rose stated.

Hermione frowned, "He must be helping who did this, I doubt he could have cast the obliviate this well."
"RON DIDN'T DO IT!" Harry exclaimed jumping up as he threw the book across the room. Rose grabbed it in mid air and set it back on the desk swiftly.

"I think I may have determined who the loyalty potion is keyed to." Rose said.

"Harry. You were talking to Ron about me, each time. In each memory. Each memory that got erased."
"No. No. He must have been potioned or spelled. He's my best friend. He'd never do anything to hurt me." Harry shook his head in denial.

"Okay Harry. It'll be okay. You're right." Hermione tried to calm the agitated boy.

"We need to go to the Burrow and check Ron." Harry demanded.

Rose shook her head, "Ron's not at the Burrow. They've already been taken to the house."

Harry looked at her suspiciously, "What house?"

Rose screwed her head up in concentration before releasing a stream of invectives which caused both harry and hermione to stare at her in shock.

"Young lady! Where did you learn to talk like that?" Hermione huffed with her hands on her hips.

"From someone close to the family." Rose said with a pause that allowed her eyes to flit to harry.

Hermione relaxed a moment, "Oh right."

"Harry, I'm sorry. They've already dropped a fidelius on their location. I had memorized it and thought I had it protected from that. I guess when I reintegrated into this time stream it made me susceptible to the effects just the same as anyone else."

"Re-integrated?" Harry asked in confusion.

Hermione stared at Rose with her arms crossed, "Well?"

Rose smiled, "Okay. How far down the rabbit hole do you want to go?"

Harry shook his head, "Not very right now. Okay? I've got a headache that would knock Hagrid for a loop."

Rose took a deep breath and said, "I am from the future. About a century into the future. I studied this period and yourself in depth because this is an important time in our culture. Our entire world stands on the brink of disaster right now. Your battle against Voldemort is vital that you win. So I came back to help change a few things to make sure that happened. It was a one way journey and I cannot go back. So win, lose or draw I am here to stay."

Harry looked at her, then looked at Hermione who slowly nodded. "Okay. I believe you."

"You do?" Hermione asked in shock.

"Why not. You showed me that time travel can work. I saved my own life. I know she's not telling me everything but that's okay, nobody ever tells me everything. At least I get this feeling she's doing it for the right reasons." Harry said with a weak smile.

Rose smiled back at him, "Thank you harry. I had better get Hermione back to her parents then check on a few things. I have to ask a favor of you because the method didn't let me bring anything with me. May I borrow your invisibility cloak?"

Harry nodded, pulling the garment out of his trunk. "Sure. Just bring it back when you're done."
"Certainly harry. Now I'll let your aunt know that you're going to be taking a nap until dinner."

"Thanks."

Both girls gave him a hug which he accepted and more importantly returned before they left.

==xx

The two girls appeared in a hidden corner of a nearby park. Hermione sat down on a bench with a frown.

"Something wrong?" Rose asked.

"Yes, Harry has been manipulated, I've been manipulated. I was ready to follow Dumbledore's orders to not contact Harry. I wasn't even going to write him the muggle way. I was going to completely cut him off and he. He has feelings for me."
Rose sat down beside her mother, putting her arm around the girl she said, "I know."

Hermione fought back tears as she tried to put things into a sense of order she could understand. "Why? Why would he do this?"

Rose shrugged, "His motivation was the last secret he took to the grave. He kept a great many things hidden."
"Was he dark?" Hermione asked with a tremble in her voice.

"No. We don't think he crossed that line. He crossed a great many more. He lied, he manipulated people. A phoenix will not bond with someone if they are too dark. Uncle Harry, you and Aunt Luna all came to the agreement that he," She paused like she was looking for the right words, "Like he was misguided. Suffering from guilt and a sense of self-righteousness that made him think he knew better than everyone else how to live."

"Nobody is the villain in their own story." Hermione said.

"Exactly. He thinks he is working for the greater good and that almost any action is justified in that pursuit. If someone else does the bad things then its not his fault." She said glumly.

"Great." Hermione said with a deep heaving sigh.

Rose rubbed Hermione's back, "It can be rather painful to have your heroes fall off their pedestal."

"What do you know about that?" Hermione frowned but said it without any heat to her voice.

"Because I watched one of my biggest heroes slide into a sad, dark, hole of her own making." Rose said looking into Hermione's eyes unblinkingly.

Hermione looked at the ground, "I gave up."
"You were broken. You didn't give up they, they just managed to finally take you down." Rose said with the beginnings of a smile, "However, this time around. We can make sure that you win."

Hermione smiled weakly back, "So, what happens when I don't marry Ron?"

"Well you, hopefully, will have a much better life."

"And what about you? You said this is a one way trip." Hermione asked looking tearfully at the girl who would have been her daughter in another reality.

Rose smiled at her mother, "It is. I'm fully integrated at the quantum level with the time stream at this point. I could kill Ron and it would not prevent my continued existence. So I will find me a nice boy, and a quiet corner of the country once this is all over and have a nice life."
"You'll still be my daughter and my family though. Won't you?"

Rose kissed her on the cheek, "I would like that." She took the invisibility cloak out and started examining it. Eventually finding a small piece of cloth that was close in color to the inner lining but not quite close enough.

"Uncle Harry always wondered how Dumbledore could sense where he was when he wore this. He eventually found this little runic patch that Dumbledore had managed to attach to the lining. It let him sense the location of the cloak when he was within a few yards." Rose explained as she disconnected the patch from the cloth carefully.

"That dirty." Hermione stopped herself when Rose threw the patch into a garbage can then put the cloak on. "What are you doing?"

"I'm going to follow you as you walk up to your house. If anyone is watching they'll see you and we'll see just how badly Dumbledore wants you at their safe house."

"If they try to kidnap me or if they'll try talking."

"Exactly. Now don't worry I'm right behind you." Rose said putting her hand on Hermione's shoulder.

"Okay. Let's go."

==xx

Rose had kept her hand on Hermione's shoulder the entire time they walked to the Granger abode. As they got near Rose tightened her grip in warning.

Hermione tensed as she opened the gate to her house. As soon as she did she felt the tingle of magic activating, but since she did not move it must have been a signal.

"I felt it." Rose whispered in her ear. "Be careful."

Hermione nodded before walking slowly down the path. Taking her key out she unlocked the door. Pausing long enough to let Rose enter she locked the door behind herself.

Hermione had almost relaxed when there was the pop of an apparate and Professor Snape appeared in her dining room.

"Professor Snape? What are you doing in my house?" Hermione exclaimed in honest surprise.

"Collecting an errant child under orders from the headmaster." He sneered, "You were supposed to make yourself available this morning. Imagine poor Remus' face when you were not here."

"No. Mum and dad got the bright idea to take a surprise trip to Barcelona. And I liked the idea. I was going to write the Headmaster when I got to the hotel to let him know where I was."

"And yet you are here." Snape sighed with a heavy voice.

"Well mum forgot a couple of things. My favorite swim suit. It fits really nicely."
"I do not care about any sartorial choices. You were told you should go into hiding." Snape loomed over her as he placed his arms on the wall to encircle her. "If I were a Death Eater you could have found yourself in extreme danger."

"If you were a Death Eater?" Hermione sneered sarcastically.

Leaning down so his face was inches from hers Snape hissed, "You need to watch your attitude Miss Granger. You may be useful now, but that will not always be the case."

Hermione did not wait to hear anything else as she brought her foot up between the potions professor's legs like she was trying to score a goal from the opposite end of the field. When she connected Snape collapsed to the floor with a groaning cry.

"You fucking bitch! I'll fucking kill you for this!"

A red blast struck him in the chest as Rose flung back the cloak. "Damn that bastard. He got killed before you could find out the real truth about him."

Hermione was trembling too much to reply as she leaned against the railing, "What are we going to do with him?"
"I can't kill him right now. I can obliviate him and dump him, though. This will take the heat off of you. They won't think you can take him down like that."

Hermione nodded, "Okay. I'll pack our bags and be ready by the time you get back."
"Stay on your toes. Btw Harry is circumcised." Rose said with a grin.
"Do I even want to know how you know that? Or why you told me?" Hermione asked in horrified revulsion.
"As a security question. Whenever we separate we'll need to establish a security question. Its not perfect but its better than nothing." Rose grinned, "And Luna told me when I was griping about my third husband."

"Third husband?"

"I'll explain later mother. Your curiosity rears its head at the worst times. No go." Rose said making shooing motions.

Hermione went up the stairs saying, "Have some respect for your mother dear."

Rose chuckled as she opened the unconscious man's eyes and said "Obliviate!"

TomHRichardson: Thank you. I greatly appreciate that. I moved it to the priority folder. I have the active stories I'm working on the most, Priority I work on if I hit a roadblock on an active one or my mind drifts to them and then the stand by folder where they get a little bit of attention but not much.

Snarglebarg: Thank you. Its going to be worked on.

RhysThornbery: Thank you. Hermione is, as her daughter put it, such a teenager as we found out. So it only took a little bit of a nudge. However things are going to need a bit harder push to get her back now.

OfficerDonNZ: Oh yeah. That train is off the tracks big time. Harry's love life is going to be quite complicated although he will be lacking in a certain redhead by the end of the story. I have already come to that determination.

N0wa5t3r: I am already living on 6 hours of sleep. Any less than that and the wife gets the tranquilizers out to slip into my tea. Lolol. As for what Ms Rowling was thinking I cannot even claim to begin to know. I'm lucky to know what I'm thinking on a good day. I agree though Rolf? That was even more out of nowhere than anything else in the entire 7 book series. When it comes to insults I try to take Doc Holliday's attitude in Tombstone to heart. A bit of constructive criticism is cool though. Anyhow thank you for the reviews and I hope to get this done.

IdlemanRPG: Oh definitely I could see Ron doing that. His lack of desire to understand muggles, his wanting to avoid getting in trouble, I could very much see that going down. And the scandal for his muggle-born, muggle loving wife. Yeah that could be a career ender. I tried to present the Grangers the way I would feel if my daughter lied to me. It would go pretty much like that. Your review made me think too that in the second day they accepted things a little too easy. There is going to be some issues that will remain for a time. As for the merging of the worlds technology is getting pretty magical in itself, so hopefully in the future societies will just look at that as another way of getting the job done. There would be a few who don't react well but they are always going to be unhappy with any changes.

TimeKeeper: indeed. It's going to be interesting how it works out. I wonder if the wizarding world has a Jerry Springer.

Ok I am not going to post anymore of this story until I get it finished enough to go through it pretty quick.
