Hey guys! Bit of a shorter chapter today. Life has been crazy the past couple weeks, but I am so happy with how this has been received and am looking forward to the story going forward.

I realize I haven't really explained myself well with this story in terms of its length. The story starts when the Cullen's and Dahlia start their sophomore year. I plan on the Twilight books happening in the story and including the arrival of Bella, but that doesn't start until the second half of their junior year. I'm setting up a healthy start of not only Edward and Dahlia's relationship, but of the Wizarding World in the story, and the impact Dahlia will have eventually in the vampiric world. This is going to be a long story so I hope you guys continue to enjoy it!

Couple of answers to questions in reviews now!

Dynaisuoh: Thank you first off so much for your lovely review! There will definitely be Dahlia and Rosalie bonding throughout the series. The Wizarding World is going to be pretty in the story through the series as much as I can so you'll be seeing them sooner than you think! And no, there will be no parallels with Cedric and Edward.

Guest: Thank you! Yes, MACUSA is going to get involved and be very relevant very soon!

Don't forget to favorite/follow/review! And enjoy the chapter!

Edward and I were both silent as we walked into his house. Mine was unfortunately still a crime scene. So he had brought me back to his.

It was a gorgeous place, no doubt done by Esme. The glass walls were so different to me but it didn't make it feel any less like a home. And I would appreciate it later once this numb feeling went away. I silently walked into their living room and sat on the one loveseat available. Everyone else was already there but Carlisle who followed shortly after us.

Edward had moved a chair so he could sit facing me. He had his hand on my ankle again and to be honest that was the only thing keeping me grounded.

"Dahlia. Please say something" He all but begged.

"...I remember waking up. After the Battle. I was waking from another nightmare. Tom was standing over me, his hand covered in blood. That hadn't happened though so I didn't know why I was seeing it. Then I woke up and felt...hollow. I felt nothing and I didn't understand...They had given me so many pain potions that I was practically comatose. No one expected me to wake up soon, much less the day after. I remember...reaching up to run my face with my hands...Pomphrey came to find 3 or 4 Healers holding me down as I screamed and thrashed in the bed. I felt like I had died all over again." I said, not noticing my slip up of the Forest but they sure did.

"Died?" Rosalie asked.

"Those Horcruxes I talked about yesterday? Voldemort made a mistake. The night he killed my parents his soul was so fractured that a piece went into me. I became the seventh Horcrux. My headmaster knew practically the whole time and didn't tell me. I found out in the end that...I had to die. Voldemort had to kill me to destroy the last piece so then he could be killed by someone else. That was the destiny my headmaster had for me. So I let him kill me...it's like ice coursing through your veins as you fall asleep. But instead...instead I woke up. I chose to come and finish the job only for the world to toss me aside right after." I said, bitterness seeping into my words. Edward looked positively grey.

"Ron and Hermione were my friends. They were my best friends. I died for them. I killed for them. All I have ever talked about was leaving the War behind. Letting myself heal and forgive myself. Be normal. Find someone to give a damn about me, to love me. Maybe even be a teacher...And all they talked about was the plans we had made mid War. To keep fighting for the Greater Good. I pushed so many warning signs to the back of my mind...because they were my friends. They were my friends. They tried to hurt me. They tried to hurt my friends. They wanted to hurt me, and they didn't even care if someone stood in their path" I rambled on, probably would have continued if Edward hadn't picked me up in his arms, shushing me quietly. I hadn't realized I started crying again.

He sat in the chair himself, holding me tightly as I clung to him. I felt like a small child again. It took about ten minutes for the crying to stop and for the pain to become slightly less than unbearable.

"I had received a call from Port Angeles just before arriving. Ron and Hermione both made it to the hospital and are under 24 hour surveillance. Neither one will escape this time." Carlisle explained gently.

"They would need their magic to escape. And neither one of them can do spells without their wands which are now destroyed. They won't be doing anything." I replied, tiredly.

I needed to contact Ginny now.

Slowly I sat up and conjured the Elder Wand into my hand. It was pathetic really, but I couldn't really muster up much happiness right now.

I turned to Edward who looked almost helpless next to me.

"Kiss me." I asked.

"Dahlia-" "Please just kiss me." I stopped him from saying more.

Slowly he pressed his lips against mine. I felt the love and comfort it was meant to give. The desperation still behind it with everything that was going on. But it did the trick. Memories of our first kiss, in his car, Chemistry, Music, the night on the couch flooded my memory.

"Expecto Patronum" I whispered against his lips. The gasps and soft light from behind me confirmed it worked. I turned to see the stag Patronus looking at me.

"Dahlia…" Edward said again, only this time in awe.

I held out my hand and the stag butt it's head against my hand.

"Ginny. I'm with the Cullen's until further notice. Ron and Hermione have been arrested by Muggle police. They attacked me and a Muggle student at Forks High, threatened multiple lives, and attempted to use Unforgivable Curses on both myself and a Muggle. I snapped their wands...but the Ministry and MACUSA need to be contacted immediately before they threaten the Statute of Secrecy. I'm sorry, but they forced my hand. They made me be the Saviour again." I said.

Finished with my message, the stag took off, passing through the windows and into the night.

"What was that?" Esme asked, shocked.

"The Patronus Charm. It's used to fight off Dementors, Remus taught me it when they kept attacking me in third year. We discovered they can also be used to send messages to each other. It requires a happy memory to cast it." I explained, leaning back against Edward. He wrapped his arms around me tight and pressed a kiss against the side of my head.

"What is the Statute of Secrecy?" Rosalie asked.

"The Wizarding World is not supposed to be known to regular folk. So the Statute is in place so Muggles don't find out about the Magical World. It's not only in place for us, but for vampires as well. While it would normally only encompass magical vampires, the law does what it can for non-magical retaining creatures as well, even if they too don't know of our existence compared to them." I explained.

"MACUSA and The Ministry?" Jasper spoke up.

"The Ministry of Magic is the British Magical Government. MACUSA stands for Magical Congress of the United States of America. Your Magical Government, although they technically don't preside over vampire matters. So your secret isn't at risk." I said.

"What does that mean for you?" Edward asked, worried.

"Me? Nothing. MACUSA and The Ministry can't touch me. Even if I'm pretending to be underaged, I actually am an adult in both Muggle and Wizard eyes. I didn't cause any of the incidents and even saved lives. Plus if they reveal my location, Andromeda will have an army of lawyers on them faster than they can say Lumos...light spell." I explained. Everyone seemed to relax in their seats, none more than Edward.

Rock Your Body by Justin Timberlake started coming from my phone signalling a call from Mike. Edward handed me the phone and I answered, nuzzling into his neck to inhale his own scent like he had done so often with me.

"Hello Mike." I said softly.

"Hey D. I'm home now. Wanted to let you know." Mike said, equally as soft. I've never heard him come across so shy before.

"Thank you Mike. I'm glad you're ok. Parents alright?" I asked.

"Yeah. Mom's finally stopped crying. She, um...actually wanted to talk to you too. Is that ok?" he asked.

Oh boy.

"Yeah it's ok Mike." I said, leaning more into Edward as he started to stroke my hair and twist his fingers through it.

I heard the phone get past before a woman's voice came through.

"Hello? Dahlia?"

"Hi Mrs. Newton" I greeted. Instantly I heard sniffling.

"I just wanted to thank you. From the bottom of my heart for protecting my Mikey today." she started. I had to smile when I heard an embarrassed "Moooom" from Mike in the background.

"I'm sorry for putting him in that situation to begin with." I replied.

"No dear. Do not. You protected my boy and the whole school from that mad man."

"But that mad man was my friend," I said sadly.

"Even if he was. You protected your friends now. And even himself from doing anything more. I don't know what I would have done if anything happened to Mike. So thank you. So so much." she said gratefully.

"No need to thank me." I murmured.

"I'll give the phone back to Mikey. Take care of yourself dear."

"Why do mom's have to be so embarrassing?" Mike said after a moment. It made me laugh.

"It means they care. Remember what I said and I will check on you Sunday ok?" I assured him.

We quickly finished the call and I hung up, throwing my arms around Edward.

"Why do you have to be so comfortable?" I muttered, smiling as it made the others laugh. I was feeling lighter, more me again. Both the call and Edward's presence helped me.

"Man Carlisle, you should have seen her. She took this poor kid's skateboard and just swung at him. Broke the damn thing. Best thing I've seen for at least a decade hands down." Emmett bragged to Carlisle.

"I'm gonna have to get Jason a new one." I muttered making the vampires laugh around me.

"Can I make you anything dear?" Esme asked, showing more of that motherly concern.

"Um...I'm not all that hungry. But tea would be lovely." I said. She smiled and headed to the kitchen.

"How long do you think it will take for the magical authorities to come to Forks?" Edward asked.

"Probably tomorrow. Maybe even late tonight considering they hold Orders of Merlin Second Class. It's a very prestigious award, but they were war heroes. And now that this has happened they are going to want it contained as fast as possible." I explained.

Suddenly I remembered the letter sitting on my desk at home from Ginny. I never got to read it yesterday while telling the Cullen's the truth about myself.

And then the vampires all tensed around me and I felt the sweep of apparition magic in the air. My patronus galloped back into the room before evaporating, but I was already up and running out the back door.

Because in the Cullen's backyard were Ginny, Bill, and Fleur.

"Dahlia!" Ginny shouted, running towards me. We met in the middle and held each other tightly.

"I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry, I didn't know what else to do." I sobbed into her shoulder. She shushed me and ran a hand through my hair, trying to calm me down.

"Don't apologize for our brother and Hermione's actions." Bill's voice said from the side. I pulled away from Ginny only to be enveloped in a hug by Fleur.

Fleur!

"Fleur, you're seven months pregnant, what are you doing here?" I demanded, pulling away from her. My magic sweeping across her form to make sure she was ok. She rolled her eyes at me and scoffed.

"As if I would let them come without me." she said firmly.

"And it's not like we apparated from England. We apparated from the airport. Didn't you see my letter? We were coming to visit." Ginny said.

"Yesterday was insane...I told the Cullens yesterday. About magic. And then with Ron and Hermione today...Hermione broke in, trying to get the Elder Wand and Imperius me back home. While Ron was in my school...and he tried Crucioing one of my Muggle friends. Held a knife to his throat." I said, tightly, the memories almost overtaking me again, but I held it down.

"Merlin...I'll kill him." Bill said gruffly, holding onto Fleur as I could see he was trying to hold his anger down.

"Then it was good you snapped their wands. Dahlia...I love my brother and Hermione, but their actions are far more deserving than a slap on the wrist as punishment. You did the right thing." Ginny affirmed, making me relaxed.

I turned and saw all the Cullen's in the doorway watching us. Edward was unreadable.

"Unlike you all, they don't bite. Come on." I said, trying to joke and ease their tension. I held out my hand and Edward flashed next to me, holding it tight.

"Dahlia…" Fleur started, giving me her patented raised eyebrow. I smiled sheepishly.

"The Cullen's are vegetarian vampires...And Edward is my mate." I said, directing that part to Ginny. She gasped in excitement, eyes wide and happy.

"Oh I knew something like this had to be the reason you were going all goofy over him! Talking about your magic being all fluttery-" "Ginny please stop." I interrupted her, blushing. Edward gave a soft laugh and kissed the side of my head.

"Dahlia's told me a lot about you three. Thank you...for looking after her and being her family." Edward said genuinely, making me smile. The rest of the Cullen's joined us after that.

"My name is Carlisle. This is my wife and mate Esme. Then we have Jasper and Alice. And Rosalie and Emmett." Carlisle made the introductions.

"I'm Bill. I'm Ron's oldest brother. And this is my wife Fleur and my sister Ginny. I'm sorry for our brother's actions." Bill said, assuming the leader role of the three.

"We can hardly blame either of you for your brother's actions." Esme reassured.

"No you can. We saw so many warning signs and overlooked them, mistaking it as his grieving. We let Dahlia down and that won't happen again." Ginny swore.

"It better not." Rosalie chimed in, her gaze hard. I felt a swell of warmth inside of me from this protective side of Rosalie.

"MACUSA and the Ministry were informed the minute they were arrested. MACUSA is handling getting them out of Muggle authorities' jurisdiction and into proper wizardry confinement. The Ministry will take care of actually putting them to trial and conviction." Bill explained.

"Will Dahlia be involved in any of that?" Jasper asked.

"The trial, yes. And MACUSA will most likely want her to make a statement to bring back to the Ministry as part of the evidence. But otherwise, we are going to do whatever we can to not have her involved any further." Bill said.

At my confused look, Fleur chimed in.

"You aren't supposed to fix the world's problems every time Dahlia. Making you be the Saviour again would just have the two of them win. The least we can do is try and maintain the life you have set up here and with the people you care for." She said kindly.

I nodded, words not able to come out my mouth. Edward wrapped an arm around me for comfort. He also chuckled softly, which confused me for a moment.

But then I remembered I had a mate who could read minds and had, I think, failed to mention that to the three standing in front of me...they'll figure it out.

Merlin help me with whatever Ginny might think at a moment's notice.

"Where would she need to give a statement?" Esme asked, serious and arms crossed.

Now Bill was grinning as he replied, "I already have it set up. Tomorrow I'll be taking her to the magical settlement in Seattle, Needlepoint. At the Gringotts branch there I've requested the Aurors come to take her statement. After I take the girls to our hotel I'll be apparating to the Auror department to iron out the finer details."

"Gringotts is the wizarding bank. They are international." Ginny chimed in at some of the confused faces in the room.

"I'd offer you guys a place to stay, but I can't even get into my own house." I said, glad I had replaced the freezing charms on the photos before Edward and I had left for the field.

"We get it Dahlia." Ginny said.

"We can all go together! And then you can show us around if you're still feeling up to it?" Alice asked.

"I don't know if-" "No, it's alright. Showing you guys around might help me feel better." I interrupted Edward, placing a hand on his chest. He took it in his hand and rubbed the back of it softly. Fleur was looking at our joined hands pointedly.

"You best take care of Dahlia. Vampire or not, you won't like the consequences if you mistreat her." Fleur warned once.

Edward nodded.

"I would never want to hurt Dahlia. And I'm never going to." he promised.

"Esme and I can always go at a later date. The 5 of you should go." Carlisle said, holding onto Esme's hand.

"We can help show you around some of the obvious spots. Not many of the magical urban settlements differentiate too much." Ginny said with a smile.

"Dude, I'm so excited." Emmett said with a laugh.

"We can all head to Needlepoint together tomorrow. I'll take Dahlia to give her statement while Fleur and Ginny can take you to our hotel. I work for Gringotts in Britain so the goblins shouldn't give us too much trouble." Bill explained.

"I'll come with you." Edward said but both Bill and I shook our heads.

"As much as I'm sure Dahlia would want you to, we are trying to keep ourselves as low profile as possible. A vampire with an arm around a witch in the middle of Gringotts? That will draw too much attention and people will soon realize it's Dahlia." Bill explained, not balking at the dark look coming on Edward's face.

I reached up and turned his face to me.

"I want you there. But if I get exposed you could too. Bill will keep me safe til I'm back with you. I promise." I said softly. His expression softened before nodding and pressing a kiss to my forehead. I felt him smile against it so Merlin only knows which one of them said what in their heads.

"By the way...did I mention Edward can read minds?"
