Hey everyone! So happy to keep receiving such positivity and support for the story! Answers to question time!

Lady Nyash: YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! Oh my goodness, I read your review and went "no i didn't" but I DID! I read over that chapter so many times and my eyes just glossed over it. Yes! Mike and his mom's last name is Newton, so I'm changing that as I update the story so it'll be correct from now on!

Rainy Ravenclaw: I totally get what you mean! Soon enough that distinction will be explained in depth more, but basically the difference between magical/non-magical creatures is that the magical supernatural creatures are born with a magical core.

CAD270895 - I have mighty big plans for when Bella comes, but don't worry she won't end up with Edward in the end.

Dark Neko 7000: Bella will be brought into the story, but much later. Like I said in my last update this is going to be a long story! So I hope you are ready!

Don't forget to favorite/follow/review! And enjoy the chapter!

OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS I FREAKED OUT WHEN I STARTED GETTING THE REVIEWS THAT THE FORMATTING WAS OFF! HOPEFULLY I FIXED IT!

The start of the day brought mixed emotions inside of me. Waking up in Edward's arms was blissful and quickly becoming one of my favorite things. He apparently had gotten endless teasing from his siblings when Esme purchased a bed for him a few weeks ago, but it was only for situations like this.

The cool of his body soaked into mine with comfort. He could tell when I was waking because his arms got tighter around me as I came to.

"Could yesterday just have been one big horrible nightmare?" I asked morosely, already knowing the answer.

"I wish it could. But you won't have to deal with it much longer. After you make your statement with Bill then we can spend the whole day together and you can show me all about magic." Edward proposed and it brought the desired smile across my face.

"You know for someone who can't read my mind, you do know what to say." I said, looking up to him. He placed a kiss against my forehead before I got up and stretched out.

"Bill is already here. It seems as soon as you are ready he is going to take you to give your statement. Ginny will be coming by later to gather us while he takes you where you need to go." Edward explained although he had a sour look on his face.

"You ok?" I asked, placing my right hand on his face.

"Every time you need me I'm not there. When Ron attacked you, then again in the school yesterday, and now this. I can't be there and it...makes me feel like a bad mate." he said, looking down at himself.

"Hey no don't think that." I soothed, moving myself so I was directly in front of him. I made him look at me after a moment.

"I don't think either one of us expected for all this to occur. I know it's difficult to have me away from you with our bond so new. I get it. But I can't risk either of us being exposed right now. It's not fair, but risking exposure is also not fair on your family. We have all of eternity to protect and be there for each other. And like you said, we'll be together the rest of the day too." I said.

He reached over and pulled me close, placing a kiss against my lips. I happily kissed back and only pulled away when there was a loud knock against the door.

"Ok lover boy I gotta get her to Gringotts! Stop snogging with my sister, '' Bill shouted.

"Bill!" I said in outrage, making the man laugh and probably everyone downstairs laugh too.

I turned back my attention to Edward who at the very least looked lighter than how the conversation had been going.

"I'm about to become a proper British lady, you know. It's really freaky and isn't too easy on the eyes." I joked.

"I'm sure you'll look just as breathtaking as you always do." Edward mused. I got up to hide the blush he no doubt still noticed.

Opening the door led me to see Bill standing there with a cheeky grin and a dress bag.

"As adorable as you two are, I need you to get ready and change into this. Under Fleur's orders you are not to wear anything but this." he said, handing me the bag.

"Of course." I said, nerves bubbling up in me.

"Lover boy and I will leave you to get ready." Bill said, turning a hardened gaze to Edward. I guess now that the new day was upon us he was going into an overprotective mood. I could only imagine what he was saying to Edward in his mind.

Edward didn't protest and with a quick kiss to my head, left the room with Bill. I shut the door behind them both and took a moment to stop the sudden rush of emotions threatening to fill me.

It helped that after a moment, a wave of ease filled me.

"Thanks Jasper…" I said with a smile, knowing the vampire could hear me.

With Edward having a bathroom attached to his room I was able to get ready there. My medicated cream of course was stuck in my house so I would just have to miss a dose this morning and hope for the best.

Working quickly I made a curled plait for my hair, using magic to aid me here and there along the way. In the dressing bag I discovered a little bag of makeup essentials I would need too. Thankfully my skin was clear so I didn't need too much in terms of that but I applied mascara, eyeshadow, light blush, and a nude lip color. I looked like a proper British lady. I don't know why it didn't feel as natural as it did when I would go to school.

At the very least, Fleur chose an outfit that suited me. Although I could clearly tell it was something that must have belonged to her. It reminded me of a grownup version of the Beauxbatons uniform. It was a dark blue that complimented not only my skin tone but my eyes as well. It was a plain dark blue skirt that went down to right above my knees, a white blouse with long sleeves and a slight ruffle on the chest, dark blue dragonhide heeled boots that went just past my ankle, nude stockings, a dark blue hat that "fashionably" was angled on the side of my head, and outer dark blue robes with lighter blue trim.

I looked expensive. And that's what the Wizarding World wanted wasn't it?

Last at the bottom of the bag were gloves. Same color as the rest of the outfit that went up enough to be tucked in safely in the robes.

Looking into the mirror I knew I looked good. I was the perfect wizarding lady about to testify against my best friends for trying to kidnap me, for trying to hurt innocent Muggles, attempting to use the unforgivables-

My train of thought was cut off by another wave of peace. I probably started to flare up again in my emotions.

"Thanks Jasper." I repeated softly. Tearing my gaze from the mirror I finally left the bathroom and left the bedroom all together.

I could tell the others' conversation quieted down as the door opened.

"All good Dahlia?" Bill called up from below.

"I guess" I called back, walking down the steps. I could feel all their eyes on me and it just brought more nerves back inside at what they could potentially be thinking of what I looked like. I certainly looked different than I usually did and I felt uncomfortable.

"Wow…" Emmett said under his breath.

I finally got the courage to look up at Edward who's eyes pierced right through me. His expression looked positive at least and he seemed to be taking every inch of me into memory.

"Told you it was odd looking." I muttered.

Edward got out of his chair and walked over to me. He was instantly in my space as he so often liked to do and I felt the nerves ease as he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close.

He placed a kiss against my lips, softly and only for a moment, before pulling away.

"Enchanting." he whispered although everyone could hear it. But it brought a smile to my face.

"Clean up good Dahlia. Are you ready for this?" Bill asked.

"No, but it has to be done." I said, stepping away from Edward. Alice skipped over to me, a bag in hand that I knew contained the pieces of Hermione and Ron's wands.

"You look absolutely stunning but I'll make sure there's a change of clothes for you for our exploring ok?" she said. I let out a sigh of relief and nodded.

"Thank you." I said. Jasper came up next to Alice, throwing an arm around her.

"It's going to be absolutely nerve wracking. But we will all be here when you are done." he soothed and it worked even without the wave of calm he sent me.

Before I could reply, Emmett came over and swallowed me in a big hug. It caused a peel of laughter to leave me which further helped settle my mood.

"Knock em dead kiddo." he said simply. As he pulled away, Rosalie entered my vision. She gently took my face in her hands and made me look at her.

"This entire situation is their fault. Not yours. Do not feel guilty because they are facing the consequences for their own actions. We will be waiting for you." She comforted me. It made my chest tight and I could only nod.

Carlisle and Esme came up next.

"You are a very strong woman, Dahlia. I know these past few weeks haven't been the best. But now that this has happened, it's time to finally let you heal and look forward to the future." Carlisle spoke wisely, Esme smiling towards me. I let out a breath and nodded.

"We are here for you. Always." Esme said softly.

After all this time?

Always...

Edward's hand enclosed around mine and pulled me back to him. I looked up to him and was taken aback by the expression on his face.

"You are my mate. And nothing on earth could ever turn me away from you. You are strong and you are selfless. You are better than them. And I will prove to you every day why you deserve this care and love that my family has for you, that I have for you already." he spoke before placing another kiss against my lips.

I was absolutely speechless. He said love. He said love!

"Edward I-" "As much as I would love the cavity in my mouth to continue to form from you two, Dahlia we have to go. We can't be late for something like this." Bill said.

I sighed and nodded, breaking away from Edward and going over to Bill. My hand enclosed around his and I turned back to Edward.

"We are finishing this conversation, mister." I said, making the room laugh.

Before I could say anything else, Bill apparated and took me along with him. We landed right outside of the No-Maj-friendly entrance to the Needlepoint branch of Gringotts.

Thankfully one of the first things I did out of the hospital was go to Gringotts to formally apologize for the breakout and destruction I had caused in Diagon Alley. And with my apology came the true sword of Gryffindor. I did not need it any longer and while I did not agree with Griphook's method of trying to get it back, I knew it was time for it to be given back to the goblin nation. The sword was of the Gryffindor line, not directly Hogwarts, and since that family line died out, it was high time their artifact was returned to them. They accepted my apology and gift, and seemed to gain a genuine respect for me. Thank Merlin.

As we walked into Gringotts, I could feel eyes on me. Especially with Bill by me, he still was a striking and noticeable man in a Gringotts building. He had made a name for himself with the goblins and with its patrons, it didn't matter the country. So when the attention fell on me I could tell when people noticed I was there.

Thankfully, the goblins had too and quickly swept us behind the public eye and into a private office.

"Lady Potter Black my name is Ironclad. I am the head of the Needle Point division of Gringotts. My fellow goblins in England asked me to examine your arm before you began with the Aurors." the goblin explained.

He was dressed very smartly, but then again all the goblins who worked in Gringotts dressed well. He looked older for a goblin, with all white hair and thin golden spectacles over his eyes.

"Of course," I replied, politely. I took off my glove on my left arm and held it out over his desk.

Why should I be nervous of the goblins when they are the ones who made it themselves?

He leaned across the desk, turning my arm on each side as he examined. He then moved each finger, oftentimes wiggling it to check on full range of motion. It felt odd, almost like a tickle.

At the end he waved his arm over my own and finally frowned. Why was he frowning?

"Lady Potter Black, how often do you wear your prosthetic?" he asked.

"Well..every day sir." I replied. I caught Bill out of the corner of my eye and saw he looked just as confused as I was.

"And when do you take it off? When you clean? When you sleep?" he questioned.

"Um...When I clean myself, yeah. But otherwise it stays on." I answered. The goblin got a sour look on his face.

"I can see our English counterparts failed to properly explain these types of prosthetics to you. I see a prolonged exposure to the freezing charm. I assume you are around No-Maj's often?" he questioned. I could only nod, stunned by what he was saying.

Was the prosthetic not as safe as I thought?

"These prosthetics are top of the line and the finest made in the industry there is no question. But you are not to wear them while asleep. I understand you lost your limb in a traumatic injury, but the limb needs time to heal and the prosthetic needs rest as well, believe it or not. You must start taking it off while you sleep to give your body and the prosthetic a necessary break. And this prolonged exposure to the freezing charm, while necessary in your situation, can cause the prosthetic to malfunction or stop working. You may find yourself needing to keep the prosthetic off for a period of time for calibration. Or you may find the prosthetic will not work with you anymore." he explained and it left my chest feeling tight.

Malfunction? I needed this prosthetic to work, and I've been maintaining it wrong all this time? The thought of my arm without the prosthetic left a sickly feeling in me. The thought of the stares that would follow even more so.

Bill came up behind me and put a hand on my shoulder.

"Thank you for explaining it to us, Ironclad. You were right that we were not informed of this in England. I'll make sure Dahlia makes the necessary adjustments." Bill answered for me.

"We have goblins in Switzerland working on a feature in the prosthetics to stop their motion without the use of the freezing charm. Rest assured, as a friend of the Goblin nation, Lady Potter Black will be notified when this is available for her. I would also recommend she get in contact with an actual healer who specializes in physical therapy from traumatic injuries. Muggles have quite a lot of options in that regard and our healers have taken to their methods. It would benefit her healing as well." Ironclad said. I could only nod again.

I didn't know what to say.

Another goblin, much younger than Ironclad, came into the room then.

"Aurors Briggs and Daniels here to interview Lady Potter Black." he told us. I quickly pulled the glove back on my arm and straightened in my seat.

"Let them in WrathBone." Ironclad said.

Bill stayed behind my chair in support, only taking his hand off my shoulder as the men came in. Both were tall. One was probably in his mid 40's while the other looked to be only a few years older than Bill. The older one was a black man with graying hair and a neatly trimmed beard. His brown eyes looked kind but had that same seriousness Kingsley had back in the day. He was in a brown suit with a burnt golden vest underneath. The younger one looked like an all American boy. Blonde hair, blue eyes, and a tan. He looked like he took more time on his hair then I did. He was in a blue suit with a darker blue vest underneath.

"Lady Potter Black. My name is Auror Michael Briggs. This is my partner Auror Jonathan Daniels. Thank you for coming in to speak with us about yesterday's incident. We appreciate the cooperation." the older one started.

"I appreciate the acceptance of my privacy. No one knows exactly where I currently reside and I would like to keep it that way." I replied to the man.

"Are you on the run from something?" Auror Daniels asked, too eagerly. I saw the annoyance flash in Auror Briggs' eyes but before he spoke, I did.

"Not in the slightest. If you can recall less than a year ago I stopped a genocidal madman and lost my arm in the process. I wanted privacy and the luxury of healing my injured body." I said, coldly. It got the point across.

"Apologies, Lady Potter Black." Daniels muttered.

"Ironclad, we are just fine with Lady Potter Black we do not need-"

"I do not give the slightest care of what you need. Lady Potter Black is a friend of the Goblin nation and has earned our deepest respect. I will be staying as you conduct your interview to make sure her best interests are maintained." The goblin cut off Briggs, leaving no room for argument. I sent a smile to the goblin who gave me a wink back.

I truly did prefer the American goblins much more than the British ones. Less stuffy.

"Very well then Ironclad. Lady Potter Black can you please, in your own words, explain the event itself and what led up to it?" Briggs continued.

"Well...it really started after the war ended. Waking up in the hospital with my arm gone...it destroyed me. And in the middle of trying to balance my healing and balance my grieving and all the other responsibilities that came with being me...Ron and Hermione were just two totally different people. They acted like we were still in the war, that there were thousands of things we still needed to do. We needed to join the Ministry and change the world! They didn't even let me get out of the hospital before bombarding me with anything and everything. Sometimes they would even try to stop others from visiting me. I felt trapped. I just...I needed to go somewhere that I could heal." I started. My voice felt hollow and I didn't dare look at any of the men, choosing instead to focus on a single point in the room.

"I moved to America at the end of August. It's quieter here and it allows me time to heal away from the public and allow me the room to breathe as I did. I only told four people where I was actually going. Andromeda Tonks, Bill and Fleur Weasley, and Ginny Weasley. Others, including Ron and Hermione, knew I was leaving, just not where. A few weeks into the move, Ron discovered correspondence between myself and Ginny which specified my location. Next thing I know, he's in my living room and trying to kidnap me back to England. He cornered me in the house before I managed to get outside where the physical altercation began"

"Physical? So he did injure you?" Briggs said as I paused in the story. I nodded my head. I saw Bill tense out of the corner of my eye.

"He knocked me to the ground where my head hit the pavement and it banged my nose pretty well. When I got up, he punched me in the face and it caused my glasses to shatter as well. He then grabbed me by the wrists to drag me over the wards I had made on my property. At that point, my neighbor, Charlie Swan had arrived on the scene and tackled him off of me. He is the police chief of Forks. Ron got away because Charlie prioritized checking on me and getting me to the hospital. I had a concussion, bruises on my wrist, a busted nose, and stitches needed to be put into the head wound from my glasses shattering across my face."

"To confirm with you Lady Potter Black. This would be the incident where we have on record a No-Maj BOLO going out for Ronald Weasley, yes?" Briggs asked. I only nodded in response.

My mind was distracted. The memories were flooding my head, just what I didn't want to happen. I wanted Edward. I knew acknowledging the mating bond might lead to some separation anxiety but I thought I would fare better than this.

I noticed all the men were staring at me, expectedly. Shit had someone asked something?

"Apologies. Can you repeat the question?" I murmured. My right hand was rubbing against the sleeve of my robe, trying to produce sensory relief to the tornado going on in my mind.

"There is no need to apologize. What you are going through is immense for someone like yourself." Daniels said, attempting to comfort I guess. Someone like myself? The hell was that supposed to mean, the prick-

"I asked if we could move on to the day the BOLO went out on Hermione Granger." Briggs supplied for me. I nodded again.

"That was about a couple more weeks later. Keep in mind, I already had wards placed on the school previous to this day. The knowledge of my arm and magic could not be spoken about on the school grounds. I didn't want any chance of the Statute of Secrecy to be broken or even risked." I started to explain but was again interrupted by Daniels.

"Why the precaution? It's a No-Maj school." he said.

"When you've been fighting for your life your entire life Mr Daniels, you learn to take such precaution." I said, glossing over the fact the ward was more so for the thought of those subjects. Now that Edward knows, I must remember to bring down those wards.

"I was leaving school for the day with some friends when I saw Hermione standing by my car. She was ready to confront me, no matter the audience. We traded words and she tried grabbing me, possibly to apparate. Unlike the altercation with Ron, I was ready this time and I was able to knock her out before she could do any damage. The Forks police arrested her and took her to the hospital since I knocked her out. Somehow, while we were at the station for statements, she attacked a security guard and managed to escape as I was told." I continued to explain.

"After that I did not hear from either of them until yesterday. I was with my boyfriend when I felt the wards being triggered at my home. I have a powerful magical artifact there so I quickly apparated to my house and-"

"You apparated in front of a No-Maj? So much for the Statute of Secrecy." the All-American dumbass said. Tired of his attitude I turned to him with a glare.

"If you bother to let me finish instead of speaking out of turn, I would tell you that my boyfriend is not a No-Maj and already aware of the magical world. Now speak when you are spoken to and for Merlin's sake let me get through this. It is hard enough talking about what my friends have done without your baseless and needless comments."

Snape would have been proud of how I tore into the man. I could see the flash of anger in the Auror's eyes as much as he tried to mask it but my gaze did not waver.

"As much as it may pain us both to admit, I am Lady Dahlia Potter Black. I am the Witch Who Won. The Sorceress Supreme." I sneered, hating that last title most of all.

"So mind your fucking mouth." I finished. Daniels took a step towards me but Briggs grabbed him by the arm.

"If you can't learn to keep your mouth shut why don't you step outside and I will finish speaking with Lady Potter Black." he scolded his partner. Daniels left the room without another word, but slammed the door to further show his immaturity.

"I apologize for my partner's words, Lady Potter Black. He comes from a long line of Aurors and it seems to have gone to his head." Briggs apologized.

"Let's just get this over with." I said, tired of fake pleasantries and meaningless apologies. I just wanted to leave. I wanted to get out of these stupid clothes.

"I apparated to my home to see Hermione had broken in. She was attempting to steal my wand that was kept at my home for security purposes. She was going to use it to Imperius me back home. My boyfriend and I were able to subdue her. I was able to grab her wand but in the altercation, she said that Ron was at my school trying to find my muggle friends and attack them. When I knew Hermione wouldn't be going anywhere I apparated to the outskirts of the school. Once there I threw up a ward preventing magic of any kind from happening on the grounds. It would affect me too, but I couldn't risk taking the time to alter it around myself. It was lunch time for my classmates so I went into the lunchroom to find my friends. I discovered Mike was missing and warned them what was going on. Lauren managed to call the police but not before Ron came with Mike in tow and with a knife to his neck." My voice cracked at the mention of the knife.

Yesterday's events kept playing in my mind. Ron, the crazed and unhinged look in his eyes. Hermione, the desperation in her eyes. Both of their mindless unneeded actions. People could have been hurt. People could have been killed.

You died with Fred and you took Hermione with you!

"We exchanged words. He felt it was unfair I had left our World and him behind to heal. I provoked him to attack me so he would let Mike go. We struggled on the floor, my head once again hitting the floor, before I grabbed a boy's skateboard and knocked Ron out. I was able to secure his wand then. Later when I had privacy I had to come to a decision. I had learned from carefully questioning Mike that Ron had basically attempted to use the Cruciatus Curse on him right before I had gotten the ward up. Two Unforgivables...I couldn't risk either one of them escaping. I snapped their wands...and here we are." I finished.

The room was silent for a minute.

"I will be asking for your memories of these events to confirm what you are telling me. I also need their wands as evidence." Briggs started. Bill walked over, handing him the bag of the wand pieces.

I summoned in my mind my wand and watched as it appeared in my hand. No matter what wards I placed on it, it still would come to me when called. I saw Briggs seem to lose his composure for a moment when he realized it was the Elder Wand in my hand. Concentrating on the memories, one by one, I extracted them into vials Bill conjured. Before giving them to Briggs, I watched Bill write runes on the vials and place protections on them for my own benefit.

"Your boyfriend you mentioned. Is he a No-Majborn?" Briggs asked, after he regained his thoughts.

"No." I said simply. Briggs raised an eyebrow at me.

"He is a non-magical but supernatural creature. They have their own secrecy laws that he, nor I as his mate, can break. While our Statute of Secrecy guarantees his protection, his kind too have their own government and as of now their laws do not include knowledge of their existence to anyone. So take from my memories what you will, but I will not discuss him further." I said with finality. I could see Bill fighting a smirk.

"Very well Lady Potter Black. For your own safety, I am informing you that we are in the process of transporting Mr Weasley and Miss Granger as we speak. While you are all originally British magical citizens, their crimes were committed in America. So they will face a trial in the Maji Court Supreme in New York City. The trial will take place in December and you will be required to testify."

A sour look went across both Bill and my face,

"You're kidding me? We are trying to maintain her privacy and the minute she sets foot on the stand the entire world will know where Dahlia's been" Bill said angrily.

"We can make sure the locations that these incidents took place remain hidden. Otherwise nothing can be done. She is their motive for coming to America. She is the star witness and the strongest evidence we have. I agree they must be punished for their crimes and while I would also like to not have Lady Potter Black on the stand, she will secure the guilty verdict. They are, especially to the wizarding population now, war heroes. Lady Potter Black is needed." Briggs explained.

I didn't like it. I hated it, but I had to agree he was right.

"They need to be locked away, Bill. We can't risk them causing any more problems. They made their bed and now Hermione and Ron have to lie in it. I'll do it." I said, not letting anyone change my mind.

Bill let out a great sigh but did not argue with me.

"I believe it is best for you to leave Auror Briggs. You have overstayed your welcome." Ironclad then cut it, tired of the wizard or so it appeared.

Briggs, obviously sensing the tension, simply gave us a nod before departing. I felt the anger bubbling up in me again. With Auror Daniel's behavior, the fact I would have to testify, and left over feelings from yesterday it felt like everything was just coming to a boil.

Ironclad then reached into his desk before pulling out a hideous ceramic figurine.

"My mother-in-law gave this to me for my 75th wedding anniversary. I hate my mother-in-law and this ugly thing." he said simply.

I got the clue though. I stood up and in one quick motion, picked up the figurine before tossing it into the wall. The loud crash followed by the shattered remains hitting the floor did help quell my anger.

"Much obliged." I said, plopping back down into the chair with a huff.

"We will figure all this out Dahlia. I promise. Right now, let's just focus on leaving and meeting up with the others, ok?" Bill persuaded me. I gave him a worn out smile but nodded.

We went to make our leave but quickly I turned back to Ironclad.

"Thank you Ironclad. I really appreciate your help in all of this." I said to the aged goblin. He only gave me a single nod.

"May your gold overflow Lady Potter Black." he said simply.

"And may your enemies fall at your feet." I said farewell. I got a large toothy grin as a response before Bill led me out of the room.

"I'm ready to go back to Edward. Is that clingy?" I asked.

"No. It's your first relationship. It's standard practice. My first relationship was in my fourth year with this Hufflepuff. I was trying to catch up with her in the hallway. I didn't even notice I was following her into the girl's restroom. I thought McGonagall was going to have kittens." Bill said, making me laugh. It lightened my mood which is what I knew he wanted.

We left Gringotts swiftly enough and now would come the only enjoyable part of the day.

Showing Edward and his family Needlepoint.
