Guardian Tamed with a Gold Ring After

Sabro charges in for a straightforward attack only to be smacked away by the giant furry creature from earlier, and his body screams in pain as he just felt another attack from the Guardian of Cutthroat Valley.

"So, I was right… I am going to die." Sabro groaned as he got back up and look at the Guardian.

"(The Guardian of Cutthroat Valley, guess it's no surprise as it certainly lives up to its name.)" Sabro thought commented.

Even when he knew that death is going to claim him soon, he wouldn't give up the fight without giving this his all and got up on his feet then bite on one of the metal accessories on his necklace, then a big browse axe appeared.

Sabnock's Bloodline Ability: Weapn Creation. He can create weapons from whatever material he's chomping on.

"(Failure is NOT an option! I must become the Demon King at any cost!)" Sabro thought determined as he charges at the Guardian again.

But why exactly is Sabro so obese with becoming the Demon King and would even go through great length to even welcome death to prove his worth.

Was it because of some destiny his father told him?

Was it because of a challenge made with his older brother to see who can ascend to the throne?

Was it because of his little sister being sickly weak and ask him to become the Demon King?

The answer is… None of them at all.

"None of that actually happened! It's all a lie! My older brother is a pacifist, and my little sister is just fine!" Sabro shouted as he slashes as the Guardian, but the attack did nothing to it.

"I wanted to become the Demon King for only one reason… Because of all the things I could be, that one is the coolest!" Sabro shouted his reason.

"Because I was born a demon, the coolest thing I could do is stand at the top." Sabro believed as he threw his broken axe away and created a large silver sword from the silver piece.

Sabro charges in attacking fierce and strong though no damage onto the magical beast as the body is too strong and knocked Sabro down with his sword being thrown in the air, the Guardian of Cutthroat Valley walk towards him as the sword bounces off its head.

"I won't… I won't do it…" Sabro refused to back down, suddenly having memories of his father working at the blacksmith shop.

"I won't become a weak, pathetic, toothless demon like him who never starves to better himself." Sabro mocked his father and forcing him to get back up.

"I am proud of myself, I have zero regrets, my ambition has brought me all the way out here." Sabro said.

"Yes, I will see my resolve through right to the bitter end!" Sabro shouted the Guardian is about to strike at him for the kill.

"Please, hang on!" But suddenly Iruma appeared in front of Sabro defending him.

"Iruma! What are thou doing?" Sabro asked surprise.

Sabro tries to move Iruma out of the way, but the blue-haired boy refuse despite the superior strength of his classmate until they notice the claw of the Guardian stops and look up seeing the small demon bird Iruma was riding on is talking to the giant beast.

"I said what are thou doing?" Sabro asked again and grabbing Iruma's head.

"What do you mean? You looked like you were in trouble, so I wanted to save you." Iruma explained, even though he was scared of doing that.

"Could that be the child of the Guardian of Cutthroat Valley?" Sabro asked.

"This is the Guardian of Cutthroat Valley? And that its child?" Iruma shocked.

While Iruma was trying to talk to the Guardian telling it that the child is okay, Sabro quietly grab his sword to attack it again.

"Don't worry, we're not going to hurt you. Right?" Iruma asked Sabro seeing him with his sword.

"What are thou saying? This is our chance to…" Sabro looked at Iruma's gently face and the smile, not sure why but for some season he should listen to Iruma of not attacking. And so, he dropped his sword.

Seeing this as the two are even showing the willingness of surrender, the Guardian bows at the two and the child does the same on top of its parent's head.

"The Guardian, it's bowing!" Sabro surprised.

"Aw, honestly you're too kind. No problem, I'm happy for you." Iruma smiled.

"(So, this is the Honor Student, Iruma Barbatso. What an unbelievable demon!)" Sabro thought astounded of Iruma managing to tame the Guardian of Cutthroat Valley.

"Okay, now we should be getting back to the race, but how do we get there exactly?" Iruma wondered.

"My wings were damage from my fight with the Guardian, why are not flying there yourself?" Sabro asked.

"Oh, well, you see I got into an accident years ago and lost both of my wings." Iruma answered shocking Sabro.

Then the Guardian of Cutthroat Valley got both boys' attention and gesture its claws to them then pointed at its back.

"Oh, you're going to give us a ride! That's great!" Iruma amazed and shocked to Sabro.

"Alright, now we should be able to make it back no problem." Iruma smiled.

"If thou think it's a good idea, then I will go along with it." Sabro decided to accept that this might be fate.

(With Bachiko)

Bachiko is seen flying at high-speed head through the end of the valley through another path that only she knows, discovered it by accident when she went to the valleys for some target practice once upon a time. She bares a really angry face that she is going to show to a certain strict teacher of what happens when you mess with a mother's child, then her eyes widen upon spotting Kalego with all the other students who have made it except for Iruma, and Clara is playing with the flag pole calling out to Iruma.

Bachiko made an epic landing so hard that it almost caused the stony platform tilt though only by the tiniest bit, but she did cause a big shake.

"What, Lady Barbatso?" Alice surprise to see her here.

"Hi there, Pinky Mama!" Clara greeted.

"Whoa, check it out!" Jazz whispered to his classmates.

"That's Iruma's mom, what is she doing here?" Shaxx shocked.

"I guess she must want to see what kind of ranking Iruma will get." Elizabetta guessed.

"Acknowledge from parents are always important for the children." Allocer stated.

"Kalego!" Bachiko stomped toward Kalego with a fury.

"What do you want? Shouldn't you be at the school right now?" Kalego asked.

"Not until I know I where my son is right now?" Bachiko said angry.

"Don't know, he probably got eaten along the way." Kalego shrugged, not caring about the boy for obvious reason.

"YOU IDIOT! You should have read the letter that Iruma can't fly!" Bachiko shouted in rage right into Kalego's ear.

"Wait, Iruma can't fly?" Kerori asked Clara and Alice.

"Correct, Master Iruma went through an accident that he lost both his wings and has been unable to fly since." Alice explained shocking the other students.

"Oh my, that means Iruma is in real deep trouble." Elizabeta worried.

"Guess that explains why he didn't fly off from the start, even when I pushed him off a cliff." Kalego said out loud.

Bachiko heard this and her pink demonic aura spiked and grew about twice her size frightening the other students, she took out a small piece of stick with a flower on it then use her mana to turn that little stick into a beautiful and fierce bow aiming an arrow right at Kalego.

"You dare push my little blue boy off a cliff, you better hope he's still alive or else Babyls will have to lose a teacher this year." Bachiko threatened as her eyes glow frightening too.

Kalego quickly brought out his Bloodline Ability: Cerberion with all three heads growling at Bachiko ready for whatever the shorty pink woman will throw at him, except he soon discovered that she had already attack with his whole right sleeve gone and a small cut wound appeared on his cheek.

"You certainly live up to your reputation as a war hero, Bachiko Barbatos." Kalego complimented with a serious, straight face.

"I have to say, that's a say power you got there. But that is still nothing, a puppy compared to what I can do." Bachiko glared.

"You're really trying to test my patients, are you?" Kalego growled a bit.

"That depends if your bark is worse than your bite." Bachiko mocked.

"Oh man, it looks like we're about to have a showdown!" Gaap gasped.

"Can they do it quiet, I'm trying to sleep." Agares yawned.

"Okay, who wants to make some betting." Jazz offered.

"Don't you think we should stop this?" Kerori asked worry.

As if her worry was answered, a strong gust of wing came out of nowhere forcing the two teachers Babylus to stop the fight before it could even happen, they turn to the direction the wind is coming from and their eyes widen of shock upon seeing what's going.

"Hey, isn't that…" Bachiko paused.

"The Guardian of Cutthroat Valley?" Kalego shocked.

"Huh, that's the Guardian?" Alice asked.

"But why would it leave the valley and come here?" Kalego wondered.

"I think you should take a look on its back." Bachiko pointed at.

Everyone sees Iruma and Sabro are both riding on the back of the Guardian of Cutthroat Valley as the former waves at them, the students are completely shocked as Alice is amazed of Iruma doing another impossible feat. And seeing the two students alive, Kalego put their names back in the student list.

Iruma and Sabro jump off the Guardian as it flies back to the nest with its child.

"Thank you, take care!" Iruma waved goodbye.

"IRUMA!" Bachiko shouted and jumped right onto Iruma giving a squeezing hug.

"M-Mom, what are you doing here?" Iruma asked surprise.

"You idiot, I thought something bad happened to you. I'm really glad you're safe." Bachiko sobbed a bit with a smile.

Iruma then smiles back returning the hug to his mother.

"Though I am a little disappointed that you came in last place." Bachiko said making Iruma chuckle.

Everything has settled down, Iruma and Sabro are forced by Kalego to sit on their knees in the last place corner each carrying signs around their necks. Iruma's sign says "Reflecting" and Sabro's is "I won't break my promise again" while Bachiko is standing by since she got here, she might as well see what rank Iruma will get before heading back.

"I will now announce your ranks." Kalego said and a white owl flew onto his arm. With his uniform fully repaired.

"This creature here is a Rank Owl, during this test, he was watching and observing your every move." Kalego introduced.

"There sure are a lot of birds today." Shaxx commented.

"Yeah, Happy Bird Day!" Elizabeta giggled.

"Don't forget that other little bird." Jazz joked.

"As I was saying!" Kalego glared at Jazz who quickly shut his mouth up.

"If you reach into the pocket on his belly, he'll give you your ranking badge that looks like this." Kalego demonstrated and the students became intrigued, and he turns to Iruma and Sabro.

"Since you filth came in last, you will be last to get rank." Kalego said.

Iruma understood with a slight nod thought Sabro growls a bit, and then Clara started throwing tiny rocks at Sabro.

"You suck!" Clara mocked.

"Let that be a lesson to you. Enjoy the mockery and being pelted with tiny rocks." Kalego smirked.

"So spiteful!" Sabro angered.

"Alright, line up in single file." Kalego said.

"This mortifying." Sabro said feeling the humiliation.

"Well, it could have been worst. At least we weren't expelling for coming back with the Guardian." Iruma pointed out.

"You got that right, if you two had come later then Kalego might have lost more than his sleeve." Bachiko said making Iruma sweatdrop.

"Wish I could have seen that. But the looks on their faces were a sight to behold." Sabro smirked.

"You were stupid, you know that. You warn about Cutthroat Valley and the Guardian, yet you went there to prove yourself even willing to die, you can't really do anything if your dead." Bachiko scolded the tall demon boy.

"I believe thou are right. This was not something I could have accomplish on my own, your son has proven more than I could have imagined." Sabro admitted and turns to Iruma.

"Allow me to show thee my sincerest gratitude for I am no match for Iruma Barbatso." Sabro bowed.

"I would like to apology for my rudeness, for art thou amazing and even more so when you have not used your Bloodline Ability at all." Sabro said.

"(Oh yeah, come to think of it. I don't know what mom's Bloodline Ability is.)" Iruma thought realized.

"So today, I formerly dub thee my rival!" Sabro declared.

"I'm… your rival!" Iruma shocked.

"Well, well, you really made a big impact on the guy." Bachiko grinned.

"Let us compete for the Demon King's throne!" Sabro smirked.

Iruma is not entirely sure what to make of this and never really had anything like a rival before, he hopes that he doesn't have to do anything too dangerous again.

Everyone form the line and Alice went in first, getting his badge revealing his rank to be the 4th, Dalet.

"Whoa, he got Dalet!" Gaap shocked.

"No wonder he's head of the whole class." Shaxx impressed as the other students are shocked as well.

"Most first-years are usually Alpeh or Bet at most." Caim stated.

Demons are rank between one and ten. The lower the number, the weaker they are, and so higher numbers mean greater power.

"(Not surprising consider what family he's from and his mother being one of the Thirteen Crowns.)" Bachiko thought figured.

Then the other students got their badges: Jazz, Gimel (3). Kerori, Bet (2). Purson, Bet (2). Surprisingly for Clara, she got Gimel too.

"Wait, wait, wait, WAIT! How in the world could you be a Gimel, this cannot be!" Alice refused to accept this fool has a high rank.

"Bow down to me!" Clara ordered showing off her badge.

"My ranking is higher than yours, fool!" Alice showed his badge.

"Well, she did place second. Apparently, luck is a skill too." Kalego guessed and Alice groans that something unbelievable could happen while Clara admires her rank badge.

The other students went on getting their badge: Elizabeta, Alpeh. Shaxx, Alpeh. Allocer, Alpeh. Agares, Alpeh. Caim, Alpeh. Gaap, Alpeh.

Sabro finally got his turn to claim his badge, and the ranking he got is the second lowest rank, Bet.

"Are you kidding me, Sabnock got Bet?" Gaap surprised.

"I assumed he would have rank higher." Elizabeta said.

"Especially with all the teachers he fought for it." Jazz added.

"Yeah, but he came in last in the race." Shaxx pointed out.

"(Bet, huh? Very well, after nearly dying mere moments ago, this won't set me back. I'll be climbing the ranks to becoming Demon King.)" Sabro thought smiled, seeing this as an opportunity to grow.

"Okay Iruma, it's your turn to get a rank. Just know I'm okay with whatever you got, hold your badge with pride." Bachiko smiled.

"You got it, mom." Iruma nodded before walking to the rank owl.

Iruma's classmate wonders what rank he's gonna get, probably a high rank like Alice or maybe He (5).

"(Sabnock's so incredible, he actually has a dream for the future. Meanwhile, what's my future going to look like here in the NetherRealm?)" Iruma thought asked himself.

Not wanting to hesitate, he put his hand into the pocket belly of the Rank Owl.

"You guys think he'll put out something weird again?" Jazz asked chuckle.

"Like another bird familiar?" Shaxx joked.

"Silence!" Kalego angered.

"Unlikely, the Rank Owl is absolute with its decision on the ranking. Never making a fuss once." Bachiki stated.

Then suddenly the Rank Owl started yelling in panicking fear shocking everyone including Kalego and Bachiko as the owl flew away.

"Wait! But I didn't get my badge yet!" Iruma called out, then notice everyone staring at him weirdly.

"Iruma, sir." Alice shocked.

"Iruma-Kin, what's on your hand?" Clara asked.

Iruma is confused of that question until he looks at his hand seeing a golden ring emitting a demonic dark aura.

"That ring. Could it be…" Sabro gasped.
