"Are you sure it's going to work?"

An anxious young girl wrung her hands and glanced at the cave, where no motion could be seen. The girl couldn't be anymore than eight or nine years of age, with a dirty (and quite shortened) kimono on, and raven hair lying midway on her back. "Of course it's going to work, you silly girl!" shrieked an ugly, short and toad-looking creature. Relieved, the young girl started to giggle, but silenced herself quickly. This bit of mischief counted on her to be completely silent and stealthy. Walking quietly, one hand clenched tight with the effort of not trying to laugh out loud, and in the other hand was a pair of scissors that Miss Kagome had given her so she could get her hair cut. Approaching the cave mouth carefully, she glanced once more over her shoulder, then plunged into the cave without another thought. When her eyes had adjusted, she saw that a looming figure was sitting, apparently asleep in the middle of the cave. Tip toeing towards the figure, she has to silently grin to herself, then creep towards where the "fluffy" sat, perched on the figure's shoulder. Some parts were a bit high for her to reach, but for the most part she could reach it. Biting her lip in an effort not to ruin the whole thing by giggling, she began giving the "fluffy" an interesting new style.

Minutes later, the girl stepped back to survey her work. Only a patch of fur remained of the "fluffy", which was on the top and was too hard for the girl to reach. Scattered pieces also remained, because the girl wasn't too….skillful with the scissors. Pattering feet, and a metallic click as the scissors were dropped onto the ground outside of the cave, as the girl could no longer stand it. Once she was a few feet from the cave mouth, she busted out laughing, laying on the ground until her sides hurt. Wiping tears from her eyes, she sat up, and calmed herself. Stirring could be heard inside, and a commanding voice cut through the very air. "Rin. " Startled, the girl looked up, only to see the figure from the cave standing about a foot away from her, the pitiful remains of the "fluffy" dangling from his shoulder and an indignant look on his face. Scared, Rin hid her face in her hands and waited for the pain to come. "Hurry up." and with that, the figure turned and walked away. Sighing in relief, the girl hopped up and ran after the figure's retreating back and called, "Wait for Rin!" It was a few days later when they met up with Inuyasha and the gang, with all of them staring at the remainder of the "fluffy" Regarding them with cold eyes, the owner of the "fluffy" merely said, "Shut up." and strode away from the laughter of the group. No one should know how much he hated to have his fluffy shaved anyway.
