Peter stared back at the man and raised his right eyebrow slightly beneath his mask. It wouldn't be seen by the man above him, but eh, it was reflex. He shifted his body weight slightly, groaning as the attachment point of his additional legs pressed deep into his back. He could even swear that the man above him was deliberately trying to make that hurt!

"Of course I know how to fly the ship!" He finally spat. "I designed the darn thing after all," he snarled out, the bridge of his nose scrunching in annoyance.

The Iron Man stared down at his masked face with a slightly surprised look on his face. Peter wanted to roll his eyes, but just barely refrained from doing so. Nobody ever assumed he was the designer of the ships, not that anyone ever asked in the first place, but still!

"So, then, you could fly us to Thanos?" The Iron Man asked, although the question came out as more of a statement. After all, Peter wasn't exactly in a position to say no or persuade them to not go to Titan. However, if he could just get one of his legs free enough…

"No, we need to turn this ship around," another voice interrupted his train of thought. He flickered his eyes further above him to see the stone-keeper enter his peripheral vision. He wasn't surprised that the stone-keeper would want to return to Earth. After all, his stone was extremely vulnerable at their current location. He really needed to figure out something else to call the stone-keeper though, that name was really long and tedious and wasn't technically the guy's name. Before he could voice his opinion, however, the voice right above him responded.

"Yeah, now he wants to run?" The Iron Man said, annoyance painfully obvious in his tone.

"Well, I want to protect the stone," the stone-keeper responded, annoyance also showing in his tone. Peter got the impression that these two didn't really like one another or at least didn't know each other very well. That would be odd considering that they both claimed to have a part in saving their planet.

"And I want you to thank me now, go ahead. I'm listening," the Iron Man snarkily shot back. Peter let out a slight chuckle. They definitely don't like each other right now, he thought with a grin behind his masked face.

The Iron Man's head shot back down to his, almost like he had forgotten that Peter was there. Peter got the impression that the stone-keeper had also glanced over at him.

"Yeah, hi. I'm still here. Glad you noticed. I'm the Spider, if you couldn't deduce that yourselves. Now can I please get something to call you other than stone-keeper because that's really rather irritating to continue calling you," Peter stated irritatedly with a vague gesture towards the person in question with the tip of one of his legs.

"It's Dr. Strange," the stone-kee- Dr. Strange replied, shooting him an icy glare while doing so. Peter merely shrugged, at least his request was answered. The Iron Man relieved some of the pressure from his back, the sound of his back propulsors shutting off. At least the metal from his extra legs weren't digging into his back more than usual now.

"Great. So. You guys need to decide where exactly you want this ship to go because unlike some of my other projects, this one doesn't split into two," Peter said, propping up his chin on his now-freed left hand. He could play a complacent prisoner for now, he wouldn't want to risk getting jettisoned completely. His oxygen could only last so long in space and he doubted there would be any rescue attempts.

"Well, the ship appears to be self-correcting itself on its course. It's on autopilot," the Iron Man stated, glancing between Peter and Dr. Strange. Wow, he must be extremely smart back on Earth, Peter thought sarcastically to himself.

"Can you cancel it out then? Fly us home?" Dr. Strange asked, directing the question straight to Peter this time. Peter opened his mouth to reply that, of course he could, he designed the ship, weren't they listening?

"I'm not so sure we should," the Iron Man cut in, before Peter could give his excellent response. Peter glanced at the man, shifting his back to get into a sitting position. He was pleasantly surprised when the Iron Man allowed him to. Peter crossed his legs, propping his chin up with an elbow on his leg and his chin in his right hand instead of his left now. He watched Iron Man stand up.

"Under no circumstances can we bring the time stone to Thanos," Dr. Strange responded, disbelief written all over his face. He stepped closer to Iron Man to try to compel the man to see reason. Peter couldn't blame him, it probably wasn't in their best interest to simply give his father the stone after everything they had been through.

"I don't think you quite understand what's at stake here," Dr. Strange continued, amidst Iron Man's quick and short denials.

"No, it's you who doesn't understand. Thanos has been inside my head for 6 years. Since he sent an army to New York and now he's back," Iron Man snapped back, stepping right up into Dr. Strange's face. Peter snorted. If these were different circumstances, he wouldn't be surprised if the two men were about to kiss. Peter tapped his chin with his index finger. I wonder if there are any humans who pair the two? He wondered.

"And I don't know what to do," Iron Man continued. Peter would interrupt, but to be honest, he was enjoying the drama between the two. The Chitauri and Outriders never showed this much personality back on His Father's ship.

"So I'm not sure if it's a better plan to fight him on our turf or his, but you saw what they did, what they can do. At least on his turf he's not expecting it. So I say we take the fight to him. Doctor," Iron Man stated with finality in his voice. As if he were a parent refusing to hear their child's side of the story. I know that tone well, Peter thought bitterly.

"All right, Stark. We go to him," Dr. Strange responded. Peter was honestly surprised that that mini speech worked.

"But you have to understand," Dr. Strange continued. Ah, conditions, of course. "If it comes to saving you or the Time Stone. I will not hesitate to let you die. I can't, because the universe depends on it."

"Nice. Good, moral compass," Iron Man responded, patting Dr. Strange on the arm.

"Alright spiderling, you're up," Iron Man stated, reaching down and grabbing Peter's arm to hoist him up. Peter hissed and yanked his arm out of Iron Man's grip. He could stand on his own! He wasn't a child!

"Very well. To Father then?" He asked, cocking his head with a hand on his hip, glancing at both Dr. Strange and Iron Man.

"I'm sorry. Father?" Iron Man turned to look at him. "You know what, yes, it doesn't matter. Take us to Thanos."

Peter nodded before turning around and heading to the large glass window and control panel. Extending his legs completely and cracking his knuckles, Peter tapped a few buttons, taking the ship off of autopilot. He continued to watch the two protectors out of the corner of his eye as he increased the speed.

So I hope the chapter wasn't too bad. It wasn't as long as I usually like, but it's what I came up with. As usual, the story is also on ao3. Please leave comments and likes as I thrive on them!
