Enemies

"May god have mercy on my enemies, because I won't." Johnny Zacchara mutters to himself, it was true he was definitely more cynical and hardened than he used to be. He could only bring himself to care about few things and people, Johnny opened the door to his Penthouse apartment someone had been persistently knocking.

"Oh, you're not Ethan." Came Lulu Spencer's reply.

"Never been accused of that." Johnny chuckled, amused.

"Sorry." Lulu sighed, Johnny had failed to notice that she was crying until she stuttered.

"Are you-are you crying?" He questions, concerned.

"No…"Lulu whimpers, crying even harder.

"Come inside." He ushers her into the apartment, shutting the door.

"I wish he would die, I really do." Lulu wiped her face with the sleeve of her shirt.

"Who? Why are you upset? I'll kick his ass if you want-just say the word." Johnny was even more concerned with how vague she was being.

"Like you haven't been for the past year? It's Sonny and now, Jason. There was no remorse. I can't halfway see. I'm his goddaughter, I guess that doesn't mean anything anymore!" Lulu snapped, upset and enraged at Sonny's actions.

"Tell me exactly what happened, I'll see to this personally. I don't want you to be fucked with, this has nothing to do with you." Johnny's blood boiled at the thought of Corinthos even touching Lulu.

"I was walking in the back alley which I know you always told me not to but, I just don't listen very well. Sonny and Jason approached me, before I could say anything Sonny swung at my face…his gold ring hitting almost directly into my right eye. It hurts. Jason showed no remorse…they both just walked away, they never spoke one word to me." Lulu recounted, knowing that Sonny was sending a message.

"Fuck, you didn't deserve this." Johnny shook his head.

"I don't understand Johnny, I know he was sending a message of some sort." Lulu was clueless.

"Because I love you. Sonny's going after you because you're important to me." Johnny admitted, no use hiding it now.

"Oh." Was all she said, as they both sat in an awkward silence.

"Have you ever…stopped? Loving me?" Lulu softly wondered.

"No, not even once." Johnny didn't even hesitate.

"Me either, thought I was the only one. I guess not." Lulu sighed, covering the eye that had been hit.

"Yeah? I'm glad we agree I don't think I could handle rejection from you. How's your eye?" Johnny hated seeing her hurting.

"I'll be okay, most of the sight is coming back. I think I just need some sleep, it's been a rough couple of days." Lulu admitted, yawning.

"You can lay down in my room, I know all of this has taken a toll on you." Johnny's voice was soft. Gentle.

"Lucky me, I get the soft side of Johnny Zacchara." Lulu smirked, attempting a joke, as she rose from the couch.

"Only for you." Johnny chuckled, guiding her to his room.
