Chapter 16: Normal

The dynamics in their relationship were no longer there. Sakura's actions had damaged any save and grace Ino had left for her. Her selfish desires had screwed up their entire friendship, and Ino was beyond sad. She understood Sakura had her problems and could be toxic, but the young girl was just… extremely toxic. How could she get over this obstacle? How could she maintain her friendship with Naruto and Hinata, and her? Why would she still want to be friends with Sakura anyway? Not only did she try to kiss Naruto, but she also spread his past with them. That should have been the icing on the cake!

Friends don't hurt their friends, and right now Sakura was constantly doing that. How could she go into the nursing field when she lacked empathy and a conscience? Why did she have to screw up everything?!

Questions like these she hated thinking, but maybe she should have cut Sakura off during Naruto's birthday party. She groaned loudly. Out of all the guys to mess with, why would she choose Naruto? She had her chance when he was single, and anyone could tell how head-over-heels Naruto was for Hinata. They all had a good thing, but she fucked it all up.

During her overthinking session, her phone was constantly blowing up. She figured it could only be one person.

Toxic Bitch: Ino, I know what I did was fucked up but I need you to believe me! There's something seriously wrong with Naruto. I admit I was wrong about Hinata, but it's Naruto who's the crazy one. Everything Kiba said was true!

Toxic Bitch: Naruto strangled him. Naruto killed Akamaru and might have even fed him to Kiba! He asked me to suck his dick outside. He's dangerous and you should stay away from him. The look in his eyes is just…

Toxic Bitch: It's plain evil Ino! I swear it on my life. You shouldn't hang out with him. Hell, even Sai said he had dark eyes. Sai saw it. Kiba saw it. I saw it! Three people saw Naruto's true face. I'm still shaken up because I would have never expected that from him. He has crazy eyes. Maybe you should warn Hinata to stay away from him.

Ino rolled her eyes for the fourteenth time that day as she read over the messages.

Ino: The only crazy one is you. The reason why Naruto did that to Kiba was because he forced himself on Hinata!

Toxic Bitch: Oh, come on! Force? He only tried to kiss her. Why not punch him? Or threaten him? But to strangle? Ino, that's crazy behavior. Strangling is one step closer to being a killer. Maybe Naruto's fucked up childhood got him like that, but if he's able to do that shit to Kiba then Hinata might just be next.

Ino: I'm about to strangle you if you don't shut up.

Toxic Bitch: Now you're just being a fucking bitch.

Ino: The only bitch here is you Sakura. You're toxic. Stop texting me before I block your number.

Toxic Bitch: Ino! Seriously? We've been friends for so long. Are you seriously going to cut me out of your life?

Ino: Do you think I want to? Yeah, we've been friends for so long, but look at you. Look at what you've become! I warned you to remain focused even when dating Sasuke, but ever since the breakup you've been doing some fucked up things, Sakura.

Toxic Bitch: I know Ino. I know, and I'll admit I have my faults, but you have to believe me. Please…

Ino: Just give me some time to think, but until then stop messaging me, or else I'm going to block your ass.

Toxic Bitch: Fine!

Ino threw the phone on the bed and stared at the blonde-haired boy who was sitting on the furry rug. His head was tilted back as he stared at the ceiling. Suddenly, his eyes landed on Ino, and a small smile spread on his lips.

"What's the matter?" He asked. "Was that Sakura?"

"Everything is okay. Is Hinata still in the bathroom?"

Naruto nodded. "She's probably freshening up."

Humming, Ino sat down across from the table and looked over Naruto briefly.

Maybe he didn't remember, but Ino did. The first-time meeting Naruto was not through Sakura, but through her father's office. Naruto had been receiving therapy from her father until he stopped coming and Ino always wondered if he'd remember her. Clearly, he didn't. They'd spoken on a few occasions when he waited for his appointment, and he was nice and clever. She was curious to know more about him once she remembered him, but she decided against it. There were just things not worth knowing.

"Hinata is still upset about the incident?"

"Yeah," He mumbled.

"You know how Sakura is…" Ino spoke softly.

"I know, but what she did was not right." Naruto frowned. "She's never tried that when I was single."

"Maybe she has a fetish for men who are in a relationship." Ino laughed lightly. "Do you think Hinata can forgive her?"

"It seems you want to still be friends with her again," Naruto commented.

"No!" Ino snapped her head towards him. "It's going to be some time until I can be around her, but forgiveness is best than harboring all these feelings. It makes you age quicker."

"Forgiveness?" Naruto tilted his head to the side. "Forgiveness," he said once more as if it was a foreign word. "How do you forgive someone?"

Humming, Ino gazed at the white ceiling. "Forgiving someone should be sincere, so you should apologize to that person without making excuses. Make peace with yourself and—"

"Can you forgive and not let go?"

His sudden question caught her off guard. "Why would you forgive someone if you can't let it go?" She directed the question to him.

The room turn deadly silent, and Ino watched Naruto as he thought about her question. Eventually, Hinata made her way into the room and her question was never answered. Noticing the silence, Hinata glanced at Naruto then Ino.

"Is everything okay?" There was a worrisome expression on her face towards Naruto which Ino noticed.

Seeing that expression made her wonder if Hinata knew much more than she led on. She was his girlfriend, and they were naturally attached to one another, so wouldn't she know about him? The way she acted when Kiba showed her the message made it seems as if she already knew.

She hated overthinking. This was something she blamed Shikamaru for. Naruto was like a little brother to her, and she wanted what was best for him. Sai saw darkness, but she saw loneliness. Maybe she was reading too much into it now…

Hinata leaned over and placed her hand on Naruto's forehead. He only smiled and gazed at her in adoration. Ino almost squealed when she saw the lovely look Naruto gave Hinata. If that didn't scream, "I'm in love", then what would?

"Hinata said she met you on the train before. Do you remember that Naruto?" Ino asked, grinning. "I bet it was love at first sight, huh?" Hinata's face had turned completely red, and she lowered her head. "Awe, Hinata," She squealed. "There's no need to hide your face."

"The first time I met Hinata was at the bakery she used to work at."

Hinata snapped her neck to Naruto, and Ino's eyes widened. "Hinata, you used to work at a bakery?"

She glanced at Ino, then nodded. "Yes. Saya's bakery." Her eyes drifted back to Naruto. He was smiling at her. How long had he been stalking her? She was fourteen when she began to work for Saya.

"Why are you embarrassed?" He tilted his head to the side. "You're acting like that's worse than killing someone." He laughed when Hinata frowned. "Do you want to know how I know?"

Her tongue felt heavy and all she could do was nod her head.

"So did I."

Hinata cocked her head to the side, and she suddenly realized. All their past encounters drifted into her mind.

"It goes back much further than that," He smirked.

Hinata never questioned that remark, but now it made sense.

Naruto dragged his feet on the long concrete pavement as he followed behind Sasuke. It was the summertime, and the sun's heat was excruciating. He just wanted to lay down with the fan on him while he sipped on some lemonade.

The only reason he was out with Sasuke was because of one of their deals. It was a success, but he was still tired.

"Why are you bitching?" Sasuke scoffed, glancing over his shoulder.

"It's hot,"

"Just think about how hot hell is," He replied.

"Oh, you've been there?" Naruto said, eyeing him.

"No, but let me know how it is when you get down there."

"Ouch," Naruto said, pretending to sound hurt. "Where are we going anyway?"

"Kaa-san wants me to buy some bread from this place. You stay put. I should be back." He said, entering the red building.

"Ah, he's acting like I'm some fucking dog," Naruto mumbled under his breath. He leaned against the brick wall and stared at the blue sky. Some sweat trickled down his neck and he groaned. "Would hell be this hot? Shit." He chuckled.

While staring at the drifting clouds, a soft melody made its way into his ear. This person had a nice voice… to kill. He wondered how her screams would sound. "Ah, I should stop thinking about stuff like that in public." He said, shifting into a more comfortable position.

The humming was still there, and it was closer than before. Turning to his right, he peeped in the alleyway, and his eyes widened. A young girl was throwing some trash into the trash bin. She hummed the entire time, unaware of his presence. She was so small and cute.

"Dobe! C'mon."

He twirled around and saw Sasuke standing at the opposite end of the bakery with two loaves of bread. He glanced back into the alleyway and was disappointed the young girl was no longer there.

Ino clasped her hands together in excitement. "Awe! Were you too shy to approach her, Naruto? Hinata did you see Naruto in there?"

Their eyes connected and neither looked away. Hinata was surprised to hear Naruto had first seen her at a bakery. As hard as she tried to remember, she had never seen him until the train station.

"I wasn't shy, just not ready," Naruto said, breaking his gaze.

"Hinata's nineteen, so that means you've had a crush on her for almost five years?"

Naruto hummed. Crush? Fascination? He didn't know what to call it during that time, but he was dangerously obsessed with her.

Hinata was still speechless to say anything. Did it mean he had loved her for a long time? If she had met him, would they have fallen in love sooner? She glanced at him briefly, and her eyes widened by the way she saw Naruto staring at her, when their eyes connected for a second time it was as if something clicked in their minds. No words were spoken, but he knew she received the message.

She had to tread lightly.

"B-but you had feelings for me, so wouldn't you want me to be happy?"

"Happy?" Naruto's upper lip twitch. "Why would I want you to be happy if I'm not a part of your life? Hinata, if I can't have you, no one can." (Chapter 11)

Sakura had stayed her distance as promised, but it felt strange without Ino. She hadn't realized how lonely she was without her sidekick. She tried to fit into other groups, and she knew a lot of people but without Ino it was pointless. They were two peas and a pod, and it just wasn't the same.

Her heart began to pound when she saw his unruly blonde hair. "Naruto." She mumbled. A wave of anger swelled in her because she felt so used, hurt, and betrayed. Naruto was the crazy one, not her! Balling her fist, she followed him up to the second floor of the school building.

Naruto glanced over his shoulder when he heard someone running behind him. His eyes widened when he saw an angry Sakura approaching him. "You!" She threw her bag at him, and it hit him in his face. She didn't care if it left a mark or not! She was fucking pissed. Naruto watched the bag fall to the floor then he stared at Sakura.

She was thrown off guard because he wore a simple smile.

"Sakura."

Shaking her head, she marched up to him and jabbed him in his chest. "You're fucking pathetic! A fucking psycho! You belong in the looney bin!"

"What are you talking about?" He asked, tilting his head to the side.

She was disgusted because he looked so clueless and innocent. If she hadn't seen his face that day, then maybe she would have questioned her sanity. "Don't play fucking stupid with me! Because of you, Ino is no longer my friend!"

"Ino isn't your friend because of your toxicity and stupidity. Good day, Sakura." He turned on his heels, walking into a classroom. Sakura grabbed her backpack and followed him into the empty class, unaware of his devious smile.

She pushed him which caused him to stumble forward. "I've been your friend for so long! How could you do this to me?"

"I didn't do anything. What part of sucking my dick didn't you understand?" Naruto twirled around. "Suck doesn't sound like a kiss."

Sakura's cheeks turned a fiery red color. An unbelievable rage conquered her and before she knew it, she was hitting, biting, and slapping him. Little scrape marks were visible on his bare arms, face, and even a slight bruise that indicated he was slapped. She called him every name in the book as she hit on him, causing minor damage to his perfect face. As she raised her hand about to slap him for a second time, he caught it. There was a dangerous look in his eyes. No matter how hard she tried to free her hand, he would not let go.

"Let go!" She shouted at him. She went to punch him with her free hand until she heard a snap. The tears gathered in the corner of her eyes, and before she could cry Naruto had covered her mouth. "Ah, Sakura," Her watery eyes widened at the sound of his voice. This wasn't Naruto. "I've tried so many times to be nice, and I've even warned you, but look at what you made me do."

Her legs wobbled and she almost collapsed to the floor, but Naruto made sure she didn't. Her screams were muffled as he snapped her index finger further away from him. "I know this isn't the smartest thing I've done, but you've had it coming."

He grabbed a fist of her pink hair and forced her to look into his treacherous eyes.

"I'm going to tell on you, and then you'll be put behind bars," She cried. He hadn't loosened the grip on her finger.

"Jail time?" He laughed darkly. "Who are they going to believe, Sakura? The one who harassed, jabbed, and followed me in a classroom after I walked away? The one who assaulted and bruised me? I believe the damages on my body are far greater than yours."

He bent her over the metal table and twisted her arm behind her back. Sakura squeezed her eyes as the worst-case scenario came to mind. He scoffed. "I wouldn't rape you even if my life depended on it." He let go of her and backed away.

Sakura held onto her broken finger, and she whimpered as she gawked at Naruto. He looked… different… and…

"I have Hinata to make this go away. Have fun being a cum dumpster for everyone," He said, walking away, but suddenly he looked over his shoulder, "If I were you, I would keep my mouth shut. An assault on campus is a very serious thing, and need I remind you I have too many secrets that can get you expelled." Once seeing the defeated look on her face, he smiled. "I'll text you later." He winked at her.

As he opened the door, the smile he wore completely vanished and he began to wipe his eyes with his arm as he left the classroom. When the door shut, she dropped to her knees and sobbed. Her finger was in excruciating pain, but her heart hurt even more.

Who would believe her? Ino wouldn't speak to her. Kiba wouldn't even spit in her direction if she pleaded! He saw Naruto for who he truly was, so how could he forget that? How could he forget those cruel eyes?

Sniffling, she grabbed the phone from her back pocket and contacted the only person she could trust… who would believe her.

Two rings in, and the voice she'd always cringed at answered the phone. "Sakura! My beautiful woman. How are you?"

"Lee," She sniffled.

Sensing something wrong with the love of his life, he shot up from the bed. "Sakura? What's the matter? Are you crying?"

"C-can I see you, please?" She begged.

"Yes, right away!"

Maybe Lee would be able to talk to Naruto and set him straight. He wouldn't dare try that with Lee around!

With trembling fingers, she stared at her bruised index finger and let the tears pour down. Right now, she was in unbelievable pain.

She pressed her hand against her chest and tried to take a deep breath, but with each breath, it stung her. Was this how Ino felt? Betrayal… She shook her head. Once she got Naruto to confess to being the fucking psycho he is, then everything would fall into place. Ino will be her friend again, and everyone will leave him alone. Hell, even Hinata would know and maybe they would be able to start over and become friends.

.

Naruto jumped onto the sofa and chugged down a bottle of cold water. Kurama had given them a ride to Naruto's place and left the two alone because he had some very important meetings he needed to attend. Important meetings?! Hinata could only think of the worst-case scenario, but Naruto didn't seem to mind which was unexpected.

Her big lavender eyes stared at him suspiciously. Now that she had a better glimpse of him, she was shocked to see bruises all over Naruto's body. There were a bunch of scrape marks over his face, neck, and arms and she couldn't help but believe he was in a fight with a cat! "Naruto, what happened?"

"Sakura."

Hearing that name pissed her off, but her eyes widened. "Wait, she did this to you?"

He nodded. "Yup."

"Why is she harassing you?" Hinata questioned. She gazed at Naruto, and her right eyebrow raised slightly. She had known her boyfriend for quite a while, and he never did anything without a reason. He could have easily overpowered Sakura. "Why?"

"It's about having the upper hand, Hinata. For every action, there's a reaction."

"What was your reaction?"

"I snapped her finger." He said calmly. "Self-defense."

"Are you calling it self-defense?" Hinata said, eyeing him.

"She attacked me first," Naruto replied, eyeing her.

"Did she also try to kiss you first?"

A light laugh escaped Naruto's lips. "I told her to suck me, not kiss me. The stupid bitch didn't listen."

"Why did you ask her to suck you knowing I would be coming along with Ino and Kiba?" The room turned quiet as she realized she had just answered her question. "You stir the pot quite a lot huh, Naruto?" She questioned as she gave him the side eye.

"I only stir when it needs to be mixed."

Hinata crossed her arms as she stared directly at him. "Haven't you heard if you stir the pot too much, you'll get burned?"

"That's why I have on mittens," Naruto replied cutely.

"What if she says something?" Hinata questioned.

"She'll be stupid if she does, but that is the least of my worries," Naruto said, wrapping his arms around Hinata and pulling her close.

"When's the last time you went on one of your fun adventures?"

Naruto stared at her with his big blue eyes. "With Kurama was the last time."

"Do you have the urge to do that?"

"If you want me to kill Sakura, then all you have to do is ask." He smiled mischievously.

Hinata turned her head away. She had thought countless times of having Naruto end Sakura, but her good nature was against it… There was only one person she needed dead, and she needed Naruto to do it, but how?

"Is something on your mind, Hinata?" He grabbed her hand and planted a kiss on her soft fingers.

With her free hand, she ran her fingers through Naruto's soft hair and smiled. "I love you."

His eyes shimmered and he couldn't help himself from smiling. "I love you too, Hinata." He kissed her fingers again. "And because I love you, no one can have you right?"

Smiling, she nodded. "Yes, yes, and that's something you don't have to worry about. I want to be with you."

"I really love you, Hinata," Naruto said.

"I love you too, Naruto, and I only want what's best for us."

"I know you do, so I'm putting my trust in you. I know you won't ever do anything to hurt me." His smile brightened the entire room.

"I would never do anything to hurt you," She smiled just as brightly. "But if I can't have you no one can."

His smile widened, and his eyes seemed to gleam. "And why is that?"

"Because… I love you."

The two remained snuggled into one another's arms as the sun slowly set.

"Ne, Hinata," Naruto whispered into her ear.

"Yes?"

"Let's have a thorough discussion about a particular matter," Naruto said, a slight smile noticeable on his face. The young girl couldn't help but tilt her head to the side. "For instance, your meetups with Tsunade." Hinata's eyes widened which made the smile Naruto wore go wide. Before she could utter a word, he placed his index finger on her lips. "You're becoming quite dangerous, Hinata. Why are you meeting with my mother in secret?"

Slowly, he removed his finger and stared into her wavering eyes. "Naruto, you can't be upset."

"Why would I be upset?" He cocked his head to the right. "Unless you're planning something."

She chewed on the bottom of her lip, then suddenly there was a knock on the door. Whoever it was, was quite persistent and she was finally able to breathe when Naruto climbed off her.

Sighing loudly, he got off Hinata and dragged his feet to the door. Hinata turned to see who it was. Annoyed, he swung the door opened and he raised his right eyebrow slightly. "Lee?"

Lee, known as Rock Lee, was a cheery, enthusiastic character. He was tall, lean, and cut and took his health very seriously. He graduated from Konoha University and was currently working as a mentor for the youth division. It was seldom he would be pissed, and it was one of these moments.

"Good night, Naruto," Lee said, in a hostile tone. "Can you spare me a minute of your time?"

"I'm kind of busy at the moment," Naruto replied, slightly irritated.

"A minute of your time," Lee repeated once more.

Hinata's ears perked up when she heard the seriousness in the unknown man's tone. Who was he?

"How did you find my place?" Naruto asked, crossing his arms.

"I had the utmost respect for you Naruto Uzumaki, but that went away the moment my beautiful Sakura told me what you did to her. Because of you, her finger is going to be cast up for a few weeks. How can you ever think of putting your hands on another woman?"

"Uh huh," Naruto let his arms fall to his side. "Self-defense," He shrugged. "Do you not see the bruises on me?"

"You are physically stronger than her! Could you not restrain yourself?" Lee approached Naruto and stared at him dangerously.

Hinata climbed off the sofa and made her way beside Naruto. "Excuse me!"

Lee peered down at the young girl who gazed up at him. "A woman should never put her hands on a man. Maybe you should teach Sakura to keep her hands to herself since she can't keep them off, other people."

"I'm talking to him," Lee spoke calmly. "You should see your way out of this."

Her cheeks turned red, and she balled her fist. "Sakura is a very stubborn girl who can't keep her hands to herself! She is no saint, and I'm sorry you had to find out this way, but she cheats on you with multiple men! She has sex with anyone she can and—"

"Sakura would never!" Lee snapped at her. "Sakura is pure and honest! She would never do something like that."

"She is not! Ino was there when she tried to kiss Naruto!" Hinata shouted at him.

Lee was beyond pissed. Who was this little lady to smear his girlfriend's name? "Sakura deserves an apology," he said, grabbing Naruto by his wrist. "Let's go—"

"Lee, with all due respect, I suggest you take your fucking hand off me before I break it."

The said boy whipped his head in the direction the voice came from, and his eyes widened. That… that did not sound like Naruto just now. He shook his head and tightened his grip on Naruto's wrist. "Not until you apologize and confess!"

Hinata was nervous because she spotted the devious look on Naruto's face. If she knew anything, then it would be bad if Naruto had any intentions of killing Lee.

"Let go of him!" Hinata shouted, kicking him in his leg.

As short and fragile as she looked, that kick to the back of his leg hurt like hell! He landed on one of his knees and ended up letting go of Naruto's wrist.

"Wow," Naruto said in amazement. "You're pretty strong huh, Hinata?"

Her face turned red, and she looked away momentarily. She knew if this Lee boy remained there any longer then it would spell trouble and a possible crime scene.

"If you don't want the police to get involved, I suggest you leave." Hinata threatened.

"But he hurt Sakura!" Lee turned to her.

"Sakura doesn't even like you! I can call anyone right now, and they're going to confirm Sakura is a cheater."

Lee was trembling in anger at the accusations being thrown at his lovely woman. For as long as he knew Sakura, she was the sweetest person he'd ever met. Is Sakura a cheater? Impossible!

"You hurt her Naruto, and I cannot forgive you for what you've done," Lee said, standing up. "She tells me you're crazy, and I must admit I found it hard to believe until now. The look you've shown me tells me who you truly are."

Upon hearing that, Naruto rolled his eyes. He would have killed Lee here, but that'll be too much of a mess to clean up. He scoffed. Sakura was a brave character to bring this up with Lee. Was he losing his touch? That ticked him off. Did she believe sending Lee would frighten him? Lee may have been taller and bigger than him, but everyone had a weakness, and he knew exactly what Lee's own was.

Hinata's heart thumped uncontrollably as the tension was becoming too much. Did the neighbors hear their altercation? Would they contact the police?

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door and Hinata felt her heart fall to the pits of her stomach. "Naruto," the door pushed open, and she was relieved to see the two familiar faces. "Why the hell is your door open?"

The room turned deadly quiet when Sasuke and Karin entered the room. He turned to Naruto and gave him a questionable look. Why the hell was Lee here?

"Sasuke," Lee acknowledged much to his dislike.

These two never saw eye to eye. They hated one another, and they did their best to stay away from each other. Lee being here was taboo. He knew Naruto and him weren't close friends, so why was he here, and what was this tension?

"Lee was just leaving." Hinata broke the tension. "Right?" He surely wouldn't try something with Sasuke here, right? Naruto wouldn't do anything, right?

"I shall not until Naruto apologizes," Lee replied stubbornly. Two men here or not, he had to fulfill Sakura's wishes and that was to get Naruto to confess he was a lunatic.

Hinata was speechless as she was sure Lee would have left peacefully.

"What did you do Naruto?" Sasuke said, crossing his arms.

"He broke Sakura's finger," Lee answered.

"I would have broken yours if you kept touching me too," Naruto replied nonchalantly.

"What the fuck Naruto?" Sasuke mumbled.

Karin was surprised to hear Naruto had not denied it.

"Sakura attacked Naruto on campus, and she wouldn't stop," Hinata commented. "Why don't you tell them the whole story instead of giving them the short end!" She was beyond pissed which surprised the two newcomers. Hinata bit down on her lips because she didn't want to say anything more which may have gotten Sasuke in trouble and make Karin sad.

Sasuke sighed loudly. He knew it would happen one day, and he even warned her a few times when she tried to do the same thing to him. "So, Sakura is the aggressor. There you have it. Naruto and I have something we need to do, so you can leave." He said, shooting a glare at him.

"She has him looking stupid." Naruto shrugged. "It's all on camera, so I have nothing to worry about."

"There you have it. If you want to take action, report it to the school board and let them handle it," Sasuke added. "You can go now." Karin stepped to Hinata's side when Sasuke opened the door for him. "You can go,"

Lee looked at them sharply, and he could feel the anger stirring in him, but he decided to leave. He would deal with Naruto another time. Puffing out his chest, he left the apartment, slamming the door behind him.

"What the fuck is Sakura's problem?" Sasuke sighed under his breath.

Shrugging, Naruto walked into the dimly lit kitchen and grabbed a bottled water from the fridge. "She didn't leave me alone, so I did what needed to be done."

Sasuke felt a migraine coming on as he rubbed the middle of his forehead. "You know this is your fault." He said, following Naruto into the kitchen. "You always allowed her to get away with doing things to you, and I told you countless times to put an end to it."

"You're starting to sound like my mother," Naruto said in an annoyed tone. "She hit me. It is what it is. I'm not upset anymore."

"Is Sakura usually like this?" Karin asked Hinata.

Crossing her arms, she nodded. "She's annoying and a nuisance," She replied loud enough for Naruto to hear.

"Why is everyone ganging up on me?" Naruto frowned. "I—"

"Because you're stubborn!" Both Sasuke and Hinata shouted. They looked at one another briefly, then sighed.

"Lee would have probably bashed your face in if we didn't show up." Sasuke pointed out. "You know how crazy he is about Sakura."

"Right," Naruto mumbled. "Why are you two here anyway?"

"I wanted to invite you and Hinata to the movies," Karin piped up. "Is now a bad time?"

"Hinata?"

"That's fine."

"We'll meet you in the car once we freshen up," Naruto said, throwing the bottle into the empty trash bin.

Hinata stared worriedly at Naruto who was washing his face. There was just something in his eyes that screamed danger. Was he angry? No. She swallowed the lump in her throat. Those eyes were cunning, and she knew all too well what it possibly meant.

"You're not going to do anything, right?" She questioned, clasping her hands together.

Hinata's eyes widened, and she backed away when Naruto approached her. Her back hit the wall, and she yelped when Naruto placed his hand on the wall and forced her to look at him.

"N-Naruto, Karin and Sasuke are waiting for us." She said, in a shaking tone. "Don't you think we should discuss this later?"

"No, we can discuss this now." He hummed.

The fresh afternoon air blew past them as they entered the parking lot of his apartment complex. She could spot Karin's fiery red hair on the passenger side. Sighing, she walked toward the car, and just as she was about to open it, he said, "Let me,"

A slight blush was noticeable on her cheeks, but she nodded her head.

"Took you long enough," Sasuke said, glimpsing at the rearview mirror. "What the hell took you so long?"

"Naruto is just a little upset because of what happened today," Hinata answered. "I also think he's coming down with something,"

His black hoody was pulled over his head, and he had his head slightly turned.

"Maybe next time you'll listen to me about that girl. She's seriously crazy." Sasuke mumbled.

"I didn't know Sakura was like that," Karin mumbled. "Don't be too upset," She said, turning around to take a glimpse at Naruto. It was rare to see Naruto in a quiet state. Maybe he was sad. After all, Sakura was his best friend. "Ah, Naruto you smell nice."

The corner of his lips tugged up before he responded, "Thank you."

Sasuke cocked his head to the side and took one more glimpse at the rearview mirror then shrugged. It was probably his imagination.

The night embraced the sky, and there were few stars visible. There was a forecast that there was going to be a 90% chance it was going to rain tonight, and just maybe the weatherman would be right for once. Cars flew by, and they would occasionally honk every so often.

"Tell Wilbert the reports are due no later than ten tonight," A stern woman spoke on the phone. She glanced at her watch and then scoffed. "He has an hour."

Suddenly, she glanced over her shoulder as she felt someone watching her. Shrugging it off, she entered the black car and quickly lock her doors. There were a bunch of random killings, and she had no intention of being the latest victim. Not to mention, she had fired an ex-employee who had already threatened her life more than once.

When she settled into the car, she took out a cigarette and lit it up. She had been meaning to stop smoking, especially since she promised her daughter but today was so stressful. If Wilbert was able to file the reports tonight, then she would be able to take a week off and possibly spend some time with her.

She coughed a little, then placed her head on the headrest. Closing her eyes, she allowed the peaceful atmosphere to embrace her.

"Mebuki,"

Her eyes snapped open, and she began to kick and thrash when she felt strong hands wrap around her thin neck.

"What do you want?" She sobbed.

"Why are you crying?" The hooded figure asked. "The party hasn't even started."

She screamed from the top of her lungs for help, and the figure only smiled as he listened to her loud melody. "I wanted to enjoy my time with you, but I have other matters to attend to."

He gripped her short brown hair and slammed her head repeatedly against the tinted window. His smile widened every time he heard a crunch, her whimpers, and how the blood splattered everywhere in the front seat.

"I…. I have a daughter," She breathed out. "P—"

"I know."

Hinata watched him from the corner of her eyes, and she could tell he was bored with the movie they were watching. Probably horror would have excited him.

"Do you want some popcorn?" She whispered.

"No, thank you." He said, turning to face her.

Her cheeks turned a rosy, red color, and she looked down briefly until his fingers intertwined into her smaller own. "You're very beautiful, Hinata," He traced the outline of her lips and grinned. "Very beautiful."

A sudden buzz caught his attention, and he pulled out his phone. "I'll be right back,"

Several minutes went by before Naruto returned. He plopped himself on the chair and wrapped his arm around Hinata. "Naruto—" He smashed his lips against hers before she could utter another word. There was a faint metallic taste, but she couldn't allow her mind to linger too much on it as Naruto had intertwined his fingers with hers.

When he pulled apart from her, he stared into her eyes with admiration. Why did this dangerous man make her feel such a way? Why did he make her do things she never in a million years believed she would do? How was he so manipulating? Or was it her? Did she always feel this way? Did she always have this darkness within?

"I love you," she said suddenly.

Naruto couldn't help but laugh at her confession. She was in such a trance that the world behind her didn't exist.

"I love you too, Hinata," Naruto whispered. There were twenty minutes left in the movie, but nobody was paying attention. Sasuke and Karin were three seats in front of them and by the looks of it, Naruto could have sworn they were fucking.

"Hinata, can I ask you a question?" Naruto said, running his hand up and down her smooth thigh. His touch was like magic to her skin that she couldn't help but shiver in excitement. Knowing what he had possibly done tonight should have turned her off, but damnit! This wasn't fair.

"Y-yes?" She said closing her eyes tightly as Naruto pressed his finger against her moist area.

"I know I told you not to wear any skirts," He whispered, tugging her underwear to the side, "but it makes it so easier to fuck you."

Hinata quickly covered her mouth when Naruto shoved his finger into her. She squirmed and even tried to remove his hand, but she knew she was putting up a useless fight. Naruto was turning her on. Her legs slightly widened to give Naruto more room to work with, and this made him smirk. Her eyes looked back and forth in search of anyone who was possibly watching them but there were only a few people in there and they seemed to be occupied with their sinful desires.

"Why are you so wet, Hinata?"

Hinata quivered not only by his touch but by his tone. There was an intense heat brewing in the pits of her stomach as Naruto's long fingers aimed in and out of her. Her mind was slowly breaking. Naruto was watching in amusement as Hinata's little mewls left her mouth. It was becoming hot and sticky and this damn jacket on wasn't making it any better. Her walls were clamping down on his fingers and he could feel she was ready to burst.

"Ne, Hinata, can I ask you a question?" He grinned. Watching her squirm around made him very hard.

"Y-yes," She moaned as she sunk her nails into him. What question could he possibly ask? Her nipples were extremely hard, and she was trying so hard not to make a scene in the movie theater.

"Ah fuck," Naruto mumbled. He quickly unbuttoned his jeans as they were becoming extremely tight on him. Hinata took a glimpse at what Naruto was doing, and she wasted no time unzipping his zipper. Her eyes widened as his large member sprung from his boxers. It was dripping in precum, and it even screamed out to her. Whatever sense she had was thrown out the window. She raised the armrest of the chair and position herself right on Naruto's cock.

Naruto bit down into her shoulder as he tried to hold in his moan when she engulfed his entire member. "Fuck." He held Hinata's waist and bounced her up and down on him. Hinata tried to hold in her pleasure, but there were times it would slip out causing some viewers to look back to see what was going on.

Hinata placed her hands on Naruto for support; she was both embarrassed and horny. Even the sound from the movie screen wasn't enough to drown out her excitement.

"If you could kill anyone, who would it be?"

"Kill?" She whispered. Her movements didn't stop, and in fact, that question only seemed to fuel her as she continued to ride him.

"Yes, it can be anyone," Naruto said, chewing on his lips as he stared into her eyes. "Who would it be? Who would you kill?"

Those questions lingered in her mind. She couldn't think clearly.

"I don't know," She replied shakenly. Her thighs were burning, but she could feel she was close to climaxing all over him.

"Maybe we can have fun," Naruto grunted as he too felt himself on the verge of coming. "We can kill them any way you want. Tie them up, cut them, make them scream,"

As he spoke the most gruesome things about killing someone she wanted, images began to flood her mind. They were of different people she pictured just as Naruto describe it. Tying them up, gagging their mouth, watching them squirm and cry for help. Why was she getting so turned on? Why did she get turned on by imagining Sakura's mouth gagged and her crying? Why did she picture her mother's throat being slit? She wrapped her arms around his neck and bit him to muffle her screams as she released them all over him. Just thinking about those things excited her in such a sickening way.

Hinata remained quiet for the rest of the ride. Karin was talking to her about a concert she wanted to attend and had extended the invitation to Naruto and her. Normally, Karin wouldn't have done such a thing, but she truly enjoyed spending time with her cousin and Hinata. To her, Hinata was her first true and sincere friend she had no problem blowing a few thousand dollars on her. Hinata would respond every so often to Karin's question or excitement, but deep down she was fearful of more things than one. One, Naruto knew of her secret meetings with Tsunade, and two, he had asked her a sickening question and her body responded in a way she felt during her first-time watching Naruto murder somebody. She lifted her head to watch him, and he was chatting excitingly about some tv show he had seen. How was that boy still normal? She knew he did something wrong, and she had a feeling she was going to find out soon enough.

"I'm going to stop for some gas," Sasuke said pulling into the local K-7 gas station. "Naruto come with me."

"I don't want to," Naruto said, leaning back into the chair.

Sasuke stepped out of the car and walked over to the passenger side. Naruto screeched loudly as Sasuke forcibly pulled him out of the car. Karin couldn't help but laugh at Naruto's antics. "Hinata, you're sure lucky to have a boyfriend like Naruto. He's so funny and kind. Honestly, I wouldn't have believed anyone if they said Naruto did that to Sakura. I'm surprised Sakura did such a thing. I didn't know she was crazy."

"She is crazy," Hinata said, crossing her arms. "There was one night she called Naruto drunk and spoke badly about me!" Just thinking about it pissed Hinata off. "She said how she was the one for him."

Karin's mouth dropped to the floor. "Seriously? I've heard rumors about her, but I never knew she was that bad. I saw her text Sasuke a few times we were out, and I can't help but wonder if they're still doing things." She suddenly laughed. "It doesn't matter. It's not like Sasuke said he wanted me to be his girlfriend."

"I'm pretty sure he's going to ask you. You two are cute together and he seems to enjoy your company, Karin."

Karin couldn't help but twiddle with her fingers. Hearing Hinata say that sounded sincere. "You're right," She smiled. "As you said, Sakura will keep her hands to herself. Naruto is a nice and cool guy. I don't think I've ever seen him get into a fight." Suddenly, a memory popped into her mind. "Does Naruto sometimes act differently?"

"What do you mean?" Hinata asked, tilting her head to the side.

"Oh, it's nothing," Karin laughed unconvincingly. "Do you want to go out shopping this weekend, Hinata?"

Naruto crossed his arms as he tried to warm himself up. Even the hooded jacket he wore couldn't keep in warm from the cold weather that was forming. How did Hinata manage not to freeze up? Sasuke shoved the pump into the car, then stared into Naruto's eyes.

"I want to hear the whole story from your mouth involving Sakura. What the fuck happened?"

"Is that why you dragged me out of the car? I'm freezing!" He cried.

"I'm going to pour gasoline all over you since you want to be warm so badly," Sasuke replied threateningly.

"It's already hot where I'm going. Let me get a test run," Naruto said, rolling his eyes.

"Naruto!"

Both Karin and Hinata turned to look outside the car window. Noticing the girls, he gave them a reassuring smile which they did not buy.

"Fine," Naruto mumbled. "Sakura tried to kiss me. Hinata saw, and you know."

Sasuke was surprised. "Why the fuck would she try to kiss you?"

"Why do you fucking care?" Naruto scoffed. "Ino was there, and now they're no longer talking." Sasuke was still stuck on the part where she tried to kiss his best friend. "Earlier today, she fought me. I tried to leave, she followed me, and you know the rest."

"Has she tried to kiss you before?" Sasuke said, raising his eyebrow.

Naruto saw the look in Sasuke's eyes, and it almost made him chuckle. As much as he tried to deny it, he still had feelings for Sakura and Naruto knew all too well. How could he still be in love with that cum bucket of a bitch? Too many spilled their seed into her, and she wasn't a good woman, unlike Hinata and Hana. They were good women a man needed. Karin would have been a better fit for Sasuke and his lifestyle.

"Do you still have feelings for her?"

"Did she try to kiss you before?"

They stared daringly into each other's eyes before Naruto broke his gaze. "No. I don't want her. Besides, you know the rules." Naruto said. "Don't fuck mine, and I won't fuck yours."

Sighing, Sasuke pulled out the pump and then groaned. "This is just a little irritating. You should have just left instead of doing that to her."

"And maybe you shouldn't have pushed her down the stairs."

"Innocent until proven guilty." Sasuke scoffed.

Naruto shrugged. "I'm just saying. You had one fucking job."

"And it did what it needed to do."

"So, you're admi—"

"It was Ino, remember?" Sasuke interrupted. "Just stay away from her. I told you she wasn't good, but you wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. Now you see just how crazy she is."

"Maybe we can always gag her mouth and slit her fucking throat," Naruto thought to himself.

"If only we could shove something down that pretty mouth of hers," Sasuke hummed.

"Be careful what you wish for. It may just come true." Naruto said making his way to the passenger seat.

"Ja ne, Hinata!" Karin said, waving. "I'll text you tomorrow. Bye-bye Naruto."

Smiling, Naruto waved at Sasuke who in turn gave him the middle finger.

"Good night, Karin. Please get home safely. Take care, Sasuke." Nodding, he sped off leaving a trail of dirt behind them. "Naruto, are you sure you didn't want them to take you home?"

"No, it's fine. I just wanted to spend some more time with you," He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her in. "Is that okay?"

Blushing, Hinata nodded. "Are you going to explain to me why you told Kurama to take your place for a while?"

Naruto hummed. "You're going to find out anyway—"

"You had fun again," Hinata said in an all-knowing tone. Naruto had fun.

"Fun, revenge, it's almost the same thing."

"What did you do this time?"

"Sakura's mom is in the hospital with a fractured skull."

Hinata's eyes widened in disbelief. "Naruto, you didn't." She gasped.

"Yes, I did, and I would have killed her too but—" He cupped her cheeks and planted a kiss on her nose. "I thought of you, so I spared her. Improvements, right? Why are you looking at me like that?" Naruto frowned.

"You're so evil," Hinata muttered. "Why couldn't you smash Sakura's skull in instead?"

"Because then I would be in jail, Hinata. Remember, you don't want me to go to jail."

"But now you're going to get caught," Hinata said frantically.

Naruto tilted his head to the side, then an eerily smile crept on his lips. "What are you talking about Hinata? I was with you, Karin, and Sasuke the entire night."

After all these months, Hinata finally understood how calculative, mischievous, and vicious Naruto could be. If Naruto was like this, then what about Kurama? How calculative was he? Did he spend most of his time planning? Was he one step ahead? The pits of her stomach were set on fire.

"Are you going to hurt me like Kurama did Hana?" Hinata unexpectedly asked.

The smile Naruto wore dropped from his face and was replaced with a deep frown. "If I wanted to treat you the way Kurama treated Hana then I would have done it by now. Unlike him, I know what I want, and I have what I want." He said, eyeing her. "I know this woman loves me for my flaws, so why would I treat her any less?"

Naruto's action proved to her time after time that he would never treat her like the story he told of Hana, so she couldn't understand why she would question him. Maybe because she finally realized what Naruto was truly capable of.

"Do you love me Hinata, or are you second-guessing your love for me?" His voice turned cold.

"No! I- I love you! I really do," Hinata said, holding his hands. "I- Naruto, you're truly insane." She rubbed her hands against his. "Sometimes I feel like there's no helping you. You're so far gone."

"Why can't I enjoy life how I want to? We're going to die anyway." Naruto said, looking into her teary eyes.

"That's not a normal way of thinking," Hinata whispered.

"It isn't, but what can I do?" He questioned. "I've been this way for so long."

"Haven't you ever wanted to know what it felt like to be normal? Not to have these sickening thoughts?" The crickets of the night started to sound around the two as they stared at each other. Neither said a word. Maybe in the deepest part of his mind, he wondered what it felt like not to have these inhumane thoughts, but he never lingered too long on it. Nothing he did was normal. He already knew that. Kurama already told him, even Tsunade. But what fun would life be if he wasn't this way? Surely, he would go mad!

At times, he felt annoyed by the sudden questions Hinata asked because it did make him think. Would she get tired of him? Get tired of this lifestyle? Would she walk away from his love? She had been the only woman he loved, so the thought of her leaving stirred a fit of anger in him. If she ever left him, he would kill her. Why would she leave him and live her best life without him in it?

"Naruto…"

Kurama already left him, now Hinata?

"Na-Naruto…"

Was this how Hana felt in the basement? Did she have these racing thoughts?

"N…Naruto, you're hurting me."

She died alone in that basement knowing Kurama would never come back for her. The love of her life left her because he didn't believe in her. He didn't believe she could stomach it. He didn't give her a chance to prove herself.

"Naruto!"

"Huh?" His eyes widened when he saw the corner of Hinata's eyes tear up.

"You're hurting me." She whimpered.

He didn't realize it, but he was squeezing her hand tightly that it began to turn purple. "I'm so sorry Hinata!" Naruto apologized frantically. He loosened his grip and rubbed her hand gently. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry."

Wrapping his arms around her, he pulled her into a gentle embrace, rocking her back and forth. "I'm sorry," He kissed her on the top of her head. "I didn't mean to."

"W-what were you thinking about? Did I upset you?" Hinata asked, gazing into his soft blue eyes.

"No, you didn't upset me Hinata. I was just thinking about your question. I do think about what it's like to be normal, but—" He let out a loud sigh. "I just don't know. Sometimes I just have this urge to do bad things. It's just something you'll never understand."

"I've thought about taking a cinnamon roll without permission before, but I know that doesn't compare to what you've thought or done,"

Naruto couldn't help but chuckle, then he sighed. "Hinata, you're so good to me and all I do is constantly hurt you."

"I just don't want you to disappear from my life." She tilted her head to look at him. "Can you please stop doing bad things, for me?" Her lips formed into a pout, and her eyes shimmered. The streams from the moonlight shined on her and enhanced her beauty and the godforsaken look she was giving. "Please,"

"Fine," Naruto mumbled.

"Are you saying that just to say it?" Hinata said, eyeing him.

"No, no. I'll stop. I don't like to see you so sad because of me," He responded. "Just give me some time, but I'll stop."

Hinata stared deep into his eyes to see if there was a trace of doubt. She knew she was asking for a whole 180 from him, but this was to protect him and her sanity. There was no indication in his eyes that he was lying, but this was Naruto. He was good at manipulating people, even her.

"I know what you're thinking Hinata. I promise you; I'll try my best." Naruto said, rubbing her head. "Let me get you inside then I'll be on my way home."

Naruto almost stumbled backward when she embraced him. No, it wouldn't be simple but if Naruto was willing to try to work through his unresolved issue, then it made her feel just a little better. A world without Naruto would mean death for her.

Now she understood why Romeo killed himself. Without Juliet, how could life go on? Without Naruto's embrace to warm her body, why would she continue to live? His laughter would be no more. The way he looked at her will no longer exist. His voice would only be a memory in the wind.

No one could take her away from Naruto. Not Tsunade, not Sakura, not Kurenai, not even Kurama.

"You'll only love me and only me, right, Naruto?" She said in a sweet angelic voice.

"Of course!" He beamed. "You're my one and only, Hinata."

Content by his answers, she let go of him and slipped her hand into his. "Can I make you some tea before you leave? Your hands are cold." Naruto bobbed his head as he let Hinata pull him into the apartment complex. He could do this.

Naruto squeezed Hinata's behind as she went to open the door to the apartment. She smacked his hand playfully before she pushed the door open.

"Hinata!"

Both Naruto and Hinata jumped when Kurenai called out to her. The pregnant woman swiftly reached the entrance of the door, blocking her view from the living room. Being tall, Naruto had already spotted a young brunette sitting down on the sofa. Their eyes instantly connected, which left the young girl flustered. Naruto stared in amusement. Obviously, the world did not like him because every time he tried to be good, opportunities after opportunities showed themselves.

"Y-yes, Kurenai? Is everything okay?"

Kurenai nodded like a rabid dog. "I… I wanted to text you, but…" She tried to find the right words to say, but she couldn't find them. "Someone is here to see you."

"See me?" Hinata said aloud. She never really had any visitors. Taking off her flats, she walked towards the living room; the silence became haunting.

"I'll leave," Naruto said, aware of the situation. Before he could go, Kurenai grabbed his hand and then shook her head.

"Hanabi?"

In the dead of night, sitting on the sofa was her one and only sister, Hanabi Hyuga. A sister she'd only glimpse at the corner of her eyes. The sister she wasn't allowed to be around was here, sitting down. Hinata's heart felt like it was about to give out. Her legs buckled when she heard her voice call out to her.

"Oneesan,"

Hearing that word sounded so foreign. Someone was calling her Oneesan. No, not someone but her sister. The two girls stood in front of one another, neck to neck, shoulder to shoulder. The looks were uncanny, and anyone could tell the two were related.

"Hanabi."

Hinata's arms trembled when Hanabi embraced her. Shakenly, she wrapped her arms around her and they hugged. Her nose wiggled by the scent Hanabi carried. She smelled just like her mother.

"Please don't go," Kurenai whispered to Naruto, her eyes red. She had been crying. "Asuma isn't here, and I don't want us to be here alone in case he shows up."

When she said he, Naruto already knew who she was referring to. Still, he couldn't understand why her sister was here. Were they looking to take Hinata back?

"I don't trust her," Kurenai mumbled. "I don't trust any of them. Can you please sleep here tonight, if it's not too much to ask, Naruto?"

Hanabi pulled away from Hinata, and she couldn't help but smile in joy. "Hinata, Oneesan! It feels so weird saying it, but I've finally found you."

Hinata was still confused. She had never spoken to Hanabi before, so why was she so eager to meet her? "What are you doing here?" Her voice came out in a whisper.

"I wanted to see you!" Her lips widened. "When I saw you in the mall that day, I just needed to know who you were. Mama or papa never said anything about having a sister, but when I found out I was ecstatic!"

Hinata felt disheartened hearing Hanabi say that. This entire time, she was unaware of her existence.

"Would you like some tea?"

Hanabi shook her head. "No, I… I just really want to get to know my big sister."

"Hello."

The two twirled around to look at the young man approaching them.

"Ah, Hanabi this is my boyfriend Naruto. Naruto, this is my little sister Hanabi." Hinata introduced, her body still shaking.

Hanabi smiled cheerily at the handsome man. "Good night Mr. Naruto. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Naruto bowed slightly. "It's a pleasure to meet you too Hanabi, but please just call me Naruto. Hinata, Kurenai isn't feeling too well, so I'm going to be with her in the main time. She's having contractions, ya know?" He smiled.

Before she could object, Naruto was already following Kurenai into her bedroom.

"Oneesan," Hanabi called out, wrapping her arms around her big sister's own. "I want to know all about you. Papa is so strict! I had to lie and say I was at my best friend's house. I don't know why they never told me about you. You're so beautiful and you look just like Mama!" She dragged the girl to the sofa and pulled her to sit down. "Are you going to college? What are you taking up? How old are you right now? When's your birthday? Favorite color? I'm sorry if I'm talking so much but I just want to know so much about you. How did you meet your boyfriend? He's very handsome. How long have you been together? Do you have a job? What's your favorite food?"

Hanabi chattered away which was becoming nauseating to Hinata. She'd prayed about this moment, but the reality was setting in. Noticing how quiet Hinata was, Hanabi couldn't help but look down at her lap. "I know this is sudden. My stomach was tying into knots when I came here. I questioned whether you would hate me or not, but I just wanted to know about my big sister."

Looking at Hanabi made her heart quiver. She was still a young teen who didn't know about the family secret. All she saw was her in Hanabi. Like her, she wanted to know who her family members were. When she was younger, she would spend all night practicing the questions she wanted to ask. Maybe Hanabi did the same? After all, they were cut from the same cloth.

"I'm sorry," Hinata replied shakenly. "I'm trying to get used to you." She laughed. "Just give me some time as I wish to know about my little sister too,"

Hanabi scooted closer to Hinata until there was no gap between the two. "Oneesan, I'm so glad I finally got to meet you." She whispered. "I can tell you're a nice woman just by looking at you. Why did mama and papa try to hide you?"

"I was very sick when I was younger, so Kurenai raised me, and mama and papa figured it would be good for her to keep me since we bonded." Hinata lied. There was no way she could tell Hanabi the truth and crush any hopes or dreams she had for her family.

"They could have still told me," Hanabi said, puffing out her cheeks. "Do you see how long my hair is? I wanted it to be long just like mama's own, but I see you've already beaten me," She laughed.

It was such a sweet laugh to Hinata's ears. Who knew her wish would come true after all these years?

Kurenai closed the door behind Naruto after he had just taken the two girls to Hinata's room. It was two in the morning when they didn't hear anything from the girls. Their little get-together and nonstop talking had tired them out until they had fallen asleep.

"I can't thank you enough for doing this for me, Naruto. I just don't want anything to happen to Hinata," Kurenai said. "Hinata trusts you, and I know you'll protect her. Thank you."

"It's no problem, Kurenai. Hinata is my top priority, so if you feel me being here would ease your mind then it'll be my pleasure."

She smiled at the thought of his actions and mannerism. "Here you go," She handed him a blanket and pillow. "Thank you again, Naruto." Her cheeks turned red momentarily when his fingers accidentally brushed against hers as he was taking the blanket.

"There's no need to thank me, Kurenai," He smiled, "I'm just doing my job."

"Yes," She turned away shyly. What was that feeling just now?

The smell of eggs woke her up from her sleep. Rolling on her side, her eyes tried to focus on the Hello Kitty clock on the wall. When her vision came through, she threw the blanket off her. It was already 11 AM! Holding her head, she groaned. A lot happened last night.

"Hanabi," She mumbled under her breath. They had fallen asleep, so how did she end up here?

Wiping the dried saliva from her mouth, she went to open the door until she heard Hanabi's voice. She was still here?!

"I've always wanted to be a forensic pathologist, and a doctor, and a dentist," The young girl laughed. "There's a lot of things I want to be."

"Is that so? Well, you're still young and you've got your whole life ahead of you." She heard Naruto say.

"Are the college classes hard?"

"They can be challenging at times, but that's just the beginning. I'm sure it'll get harder as the semesters go by, but it'll be worth it."

Hanabi cooed as she stared at the back of Naruto's head. Her cheeks were turning redder by the second. "What made you choose to be a forensic pathologist?"

"I chose from a bucket hat and pulled that career path out," Naruto said, looking over his shoulder.

"Liar," Hanabi giggled. "I'm glad you're dating my oneesan. I get so jittery when I say that word, oneesan! She has good taste in men. You better make her happy."

"That's something you don't have to ever worry about," Naruto said, sliding a plate of omelet to her. "Ketchup?"

Hanabi was mesmerized by his eyes. They looked so lively and warm. Perhaps Hinata thought the same thing every time she gazed into them. Upon hearing the door open, they turned their heads to look at Hinata.

"Good morning oneesan!" Hanabi exclaimed.

"Good morning," Hinata mumbled.

"Good morning, Hinata," Naruto greeted. He gently placed a kiss on the top of her head.

"Oneesan, you're so lucky," Hanabi swooned. "I hope I can meet a guy like Naruto someday,"

"You'll have a lot of time to think about guys when you're out of school," Naruto said, walking toward her. "Focus on your schoolwork. Guys can come after," He rubbed her head, then he froze. "Omelet?" Naruto turned to Hinata.

"Did Kurenai make them? Where is she?"

"Kurenai had a doctor's appointment, and I made them."

That left Hinata surprised. He had never shown interest or attempted to cook when she was around. "I thought you didn't know how to cook."

"I don't, but anyone can make omelets," Naruto snorted. "Ketchup?" He grinned.

Hinata found herself next to Hanabi on the barstools. The feeling from last night wasn't so much, but it was still weird to have her living sibling right next to her. Naruto placed the plate in front of her and planted another kiss on her cheek.

"Naruto, your phone has been vibrating nonstop," Hanabi pointed out.

"Oh? It's probably not important." Naruto replied, wiping the countertop.

"I don't know~" Hanabi sang. "If your phone is ringing nonstop then it has to be important."

"I'll answer it for you," Hinata said, jumping off the bar stool.

"Thanks, babe," Naruto said, washing the remaining dishes.

Hanabi couldn't stop herself from watching his every movement. Everything he did was gracious.

Hinata spotted the phone on the top of the sofa, and her stomach churned.

Sakura

Why did he still have her contact information? Shaking her head, she took in a deep breath. She had to lie her ass off. Answering the phone, she placed it to her ear.

Before she could talk, Sakura's voice came on the line, "H… Hello," She could hear the hospital machine beeping in the background. "Y-you did this, huh?" Her voice cracked. "O-or was this a strange coincidence? You're so cruel. Why did you do this to my mother? Please tell me it wasn't you. Please," She cried. "I know I can be a bitch, and cruel, but did I deserve this?"

Something was wrong here. Hinata gripped the hem of her dress as she listened to Sakura wail and called Naruto every name in the book yet…. She felt strange. Her heart did not quiver, and quite frankly she didn't care. She was sure hearing Sakura like this would break her, despite their relationship. It sounded like Sakura's mother was alive, which was good, but she couldn't give a rat's ass. This was a strange feeling indeed. So strange… why was the corner of her lips tugging up into a smile? Sakura's mother didn't deserve this. Sakura did. However, hearing her break on the phone sounded so relieving. Maybe now Sakura would learn to stop playing with others' emotions.

"Sakura? What's going on? Did something happen?" Hinata said, her smile widening.

"H-Hinata?" Sakura said in disbelief. "Where is Naruto?!"

"He's busy. You sound hurt. Is everything okay? You were crying and it was hard to make out what you were saying. Are you hurt? Do you need help?" Even Hinata was surprised by her acting skills. Who knew she had it in her?

"H-Hinata," Sakura felt her eyes watering. After how she treated the girl, she still cared about her wellbeing. "Did Naruto spend the night with you?"

"Yes," Hinata answered. "We went with Karin and Sasuke to see a movie last night."

"K-Karin and Sasuke?" Sakura croaked.

Oops. Did she add salt to her injury?

"Y-yes. Is everything okay? I can get Naruto now if you need him. Should I call Ino?"

Naruto observed Hinata from behind the countertop. Although he couldn't see her face, her body language did not show how she sounded.

"Naruto, you have pretty eyes," Hanabi complimented.

"Thank you. Did you enjoy your omelet?"

Hanabi bobbed her head enthusiastically. "It's one of the best omelets I've ever had."

"I'll remember that." Naruto grinned.

"No, that's fine," Sakura sobbed. "Sorry. Bye."

"Who was that Hinata?" Naruto inquired.

Twirling around, she wore a worrisome look on her face. "It was Sakura. She sounded really upset and she was even crying."

"Oh no," Naruto said. "Is everything okay?"

"I believe something happened to her mom. I'll reach out to Ino,"

"I hope it isn't anything serious," he said, eyeing her.

"Me neither. I'll be right back." She said, running into the bedroom.

"Awe, I hope everything is okay with your friend," Hanabi commented.

"Me too," Naruto frowned.

Hinata quickly sat on the toilet, covering her mouth. She was trying her best not to laugh in fear Naruto and Hanabi would hear, but it was too funny. A few giggles did escape from her, and the corner of her lips tugged up so much that it began to hurt.

What was funny about the situation? What was funny about someone's pain and suffering? She couldn't answer the question, but it was amusing.

Hinata hugged her sister tightly before she departed. "You have my phone number, so don't hesitate to call me," she said.

"I won't sissy," Hanabi grinned. "I'm so glad I got to meet you, and even spend the night with you. Nothing in life can compare to this moment," She sighed dreamily. "Please take care of my sister, Naruto," Hanabi said, hugging him.

"Don't worry about it," he said, looking at Hinata, who was lost in her own world.

Letting go of the man, she stepped back and bowed. "Stay safe,"

"Bye-bye Hanabi," Hinata waved. "Get home safely."

When the girl was out of sight, Naruto turned to face Hinata and looked at her questioningly. "Are you okay?"

"I still feel a little strange meeting her, but I'm glad. Maybe mama and papa will accept me." Hinata said, unaware of the look Naruto gave.

"Maybe." He hummed. "So, about Sakura?"

"She'll be fine," Hinata informed, taking a hold of Naruto's hand. "Why don't we have some fun since Kurenai isn't here?"

"You're so naughty, Hinata." Naruto laughed. "Let's go."

A few days went by as Hinata was closely monitoring Naruto. He promised her that he would try to not have his fun episodes, and she was genuinely surprised. She wanted to believe him, but Naruto was so far gone how could he stop cold turkey? Well, from what she observed he did.

For those three days, she spent by him and nothing. How bizarre! Not even a heinous comment escaped his mouth. There wasn't any mention of Kurama, either! She hadn't seen the man since the movie which was strange because he lived right next door to his nephew!

Sakura didn't make her presence known, and Ino would usually check up on her. She did give her the run down that someone had attacked Sakura's mother in an attempted robbery. The poor woman was still in the hospital in critical condition, other than that she didn't know anything else. Sakura told her what happened through a text message, and that was the last she heard from her ex-best friend. No matter how many times Ino attempted to contact Sakura, it went straight to voicemail. Ino wouldn't say it, but Hinata already knew she was sad. But despite Ino's emotions, Hinata did not care for Sakura's feelings. Maybe this time, she'll learn to keep her hands to herself and leave Naruto alone.

Hanabi kept in contact with her, and it felt nice having a conversation with her little sister. She was beginning to learn a lot of things about herself. Hanabi was Top 1 in her class, class president, and was quite popular. She also learned a little bit more about her mother which was good in a sense, yet she felt her heart string tug. Hanabi had it easy and knew her parents unlike her. She received this hate as if she was the one who did something wrong. In her entire life, she just wanted to be treated the same as Hanabi. She wanted her mother to cuddle her, read her bedtime stories, and say the words she longed to hear. "I love you, Hinata." Kurenai did provide all of that for her, but it would never be the same and now she would never have that experience.

Naruto placed his study book down on the nightstand to look at Hinata who was unusually quiet. She sat on the edge of her bed, looking at her phone.

"What's the matter, babe?"

Startled, she threw the phone in the air. Luckily, she caught it before it could hit the ground. "I'm fine," She then sighed and shook her head. "Ever since Hanabi came into my life, I've found myself questioning many things. Memories I thought were gone are coming back." She spoke softly.

"I understand how you might feel. I can't tell you not to think about it, but if you want to talk about it, I'm all ears," he said in a kind, soothing tone. Hinata felt her muscle relax when Naruto placed his hand on the middle of her back.

"Thank you,"

"It's been a long time since we've been on a date, alone. Why don't we go out tonight? There's an amusement park not too far from here."

In her nineteen years on earth, this was Hinata's second time at an amusement park. Flashing lights blinked on every ride and stalls scattered about. Excited, she gripped Naruto's hand and he led her deeper into the park.

"Is this your first time here?" He asked, looking down at Hinata. Her big round eyes searched the park, eager to begin their fun. Naruto could only smile when he didn't get an answer from his cutesy girlfriend. "Hinata," He whispered into her ear.

"Yes!" She twirled around and her face heated up as their nose were so close to touching one another.

"I asked if this was your first time?" He smiled cheekily.

Red by the embarrassment, Hinata looked away. "N-no. This would be my second time."

"Let's make this memorable, okay?" He squeezed her hand gently.

Hinata did enjoy her time that night. They went on a lot of rides; some she was too afraid to go on. The food from the stalls was good and she ended up eating a ton.

Things finally looked as if it was going to be normal, but something was brewing deep within Hinata.

.

.

.

On the verge of tears, Hinata placed her phone down turning away before Naruto could see her cry silently. It wasn't fair Hanabi got to spend time with their parents, going out, shopping, or even having dinner. It just wasn't! In her message, Hanabi had sent a picture of her, their mother, and papa eating dinner at what seemed to be a luxury restaurant.

They all looked happy with their big smiling face and cheerful eyes, yet no one thought about her. No one thought how unfair it would be to cast her out, forgetting all about her existence. She wasn't the one who raped her mother. It was her grandfather… her father. Why did she have to suffer the consequences? Just when she thought she was over it, it wasn't enough.

Maybe they were selfish desires, but didn't she deserve to be treated like Hanabi? After all, they came from the same mother, the same bloodline, the same family.

Hinata's head snapped up when she felt his presence in front of her. Looking down, her eyes met those blue eyes she had loved from the very depths of her soul. His eyebrows furrowed as he looked at her, trying to figure out what might have made her so upset. They were just at the fair a few hours ago, happy, smiling.

"Hinata, is everything okay?" Naruto asked in a concerned tone.

"I'm not fine," Big chunk of tears fell down her cheeks.

He glanced at the text message between her and her sister, spotting a picture of Hanabi with two older people. "Is this why you're upset?" Naruto asked, holding up the phone.

Her lower lip trembled, and she lowered her head. "She's my mom too."

Naruto couldn't understand why Hinata was so teary-eyed about something so trivial. Maybe it was because he didn't care a lick about his real mother or Tsunade. He knew it couldn't be the same love she had for him, so why did they make her feel such a way? He was clueless as to what to say.

"You have Kurenai, but aren't I enough? I thought you said it was me and you."

"You are enough, but you won't understand. You never will," She mumbled.

"Why do you love someone who doesn't care about you?" Naruto suddenly asked. "She threw you away to Kurenai and forgot about you. Someone like that doesn't deserve your love."

"I can say the same about you and Kurama!" She snapped. "Didn't he leave you to die, and yet you still love him!" She threw her arms to the sky. "Kurama this, Kurama that! Aren't I enough?"

Hinata's eyes widened when she realized what she had said. Shakenly, she looked up at Naruto but he remained calm and compose.

"Okay, I understand now."

"Naruto, I'm sorry."

"Why are you apologizing?" He asked, tilting his head to the side. "I understand how you feel. Thank you for explaining. It hurts when the one you care for the most doesn't care about you." Naruto sat on the edge of the bed, staring at the rug. "Did you try to talk to her? Maybe Hanabi can do a setup for you two to meet?"

"She doesn't want anything to do with me," Hinata mumbled. "If it wasn't for my gran… father then—"

"You wouldn't be here," Naruto finished. He laid back on the bed, then stared at the ceiling. "Maybe Hanabi coming here is a blessing in disguise. Maybe she'll be the key to you connecting with your mom."

Hinata crawled on top of Naruto, gazing into his eyes. "Do you think so?"

His eyes lingered on her, then he smiled. "Maybe, but if your father is still alive then there might be some issues," The smile he wore suddenly dimmer. Naruto rubbed her arms, gently caressing her.

"Die?"

"If you could kill anyone, who would it be?"

That question from the night of the movie played in her mind. There were many people on her list she wanted to be erased from the earth and the more she thought about it, her father was neck-in-neck with Kurama. Naruto watch how her eyes darkened briefly, causing him to shift into a more comfortable position.

"Yeah, I was just saying but why don't you wash up your face? Try not to worry about it too much and let it run its course."

Hinata pressed her mouth to say something, but she turned quiet. Quietly, she climbed off Naruto to wash her face as he suggested. When she was gone, Naruto ran his hands across his face. How many weeks had it been since he had fun? He felt he was having withdrawals. He couldn't count how many times he masturbated to ease his mind from not having his fix.

But maybe it'll be sooner than later.

News broke out about what happened between Lee and Naruto. Both Kiba and Ino were surprised about the outcome as they always thought it would be Sasuke and Lee to battle it out. Neither was aware of what prompted those two to butt heads and Sakura was not answering Ino's phone calls. The only time she returned her call, was for an ultimatum. It wasn't fair! They can continue their friendship only if she cut Naruto off, completely. When she told Sai of this incident, he agreed with Sakura. Naruto was bad news, and he wouldn't be surprised if he had been the one to shove him into that closet. Ino was distraught. She enjoyed Naruto's company, but although she and Sakura collided, and the bitch was toxic she was still her best friend.

Kiba felt the group was pulling apart, and Sakura spoke to him privately about it. She apologized for not believing him about Naruto, but she would not go into details about what happened. All he knew was Sakura finally 100% believe him and convince him he was not the crazy one for acting that way towards Naruto. The question remained, what now?

Silence played out in their group session. None of them said a word. No laughter, nothing! It wasn't like the old times, and the more Kiba began to see it he drew away from Naruto, Hinata, and even Ino until he stopped talking to them.

During her free time, Ino spotted Sakura and Kiba across campus all buddy-buddy. When they did see her, they didn't say a word. She was still friends with Naruto. Why would they want to be friends with her?

Hinata was in her world to notice the change in atmosphere as she was spending more time with Hanabi, getting to know her. Naruto, however, noticed the change and he didn't care. All he cared about was Hinata, and if she had changed her feelings towards him then it would have been the day everyone knew he was the killer terrorizing Konoha's people.

He could see the headlines now. Twenty-year-old college student is responsible for the death of girlfriend and ten others.

Ten would have been an understatement, but you get the point.

Ino was looking as lost as ever and she didn't glow as much. One day when Naruto was waiting for Hinata and it was just him and Ino. He told her to leave them and go back to Sakura.

"Why would you say something like that? She's toxic, remember?" Ino laughed nervously, but Naruto didn't laugh at all.

"Because we have nothing in common, unlike you and Sakura. You miss her despite you saying every time you're going to cut her off." Naruto pointed out. "It's okay if you don't talk to me, but don't you dare do it to Hinata. She really likes you."

Ino's eyes watered. "What about our friend group? There won't be any more parties, get-togethers, or gossip. How will Shikamaru feel about this when he returns from Suna?"

"People grow apart. It's normal, Ino." Naruto spoke, nonchalant.

"Don't you care?" She wiped the tears from her eyes.

No, he didn't. He had friends because it made him less of a suspect to Tsunade, but the cat was out of the bag, so he had no need for them. They were fun to be around, but he could survive without talking to them. After all, everything he'd showed them was simply an act.

"I'll let Hinata know you went to class. It was a pleasure being your friend, Ino, and…" He smiled warmly, "thank you for believing in me when no one else did." And scene!

Now Ino was back with Sakura and Kiba and they ignored Naruto like he was the plagued. Ino felt guilty, but Naruto was right. She had more in common with Sakura than him. He destroyed relationships. He knew and he was fine with that. It was fun to see how things would play out, and there were a lot of people out there he could use and abuse to his own liking. It didn't end with Sakura, Ino, or Kiba.

Hinata, who was still clueless about the situation, noticed how Naruto was calm in a way. It felt weird. They would either go to his house or hers, study, have sex, and do it all over again. He took her out on dates, made her laugh, and cheer her up when she was down, but it felt like something was missing. He didn't make dark jokes or showed he craved killing someone. He didn't ask her those dark questions that left her to wonder. There was no Kurama to intervene in their daily lives. When a guy accidentally bumped into her, he didn't overreact or have that dark look in his eyes. He was just normal. Weird.

"Naruto!" Hanabi shouted, throwing herself into his arms. "How ya been?"

"Hey there kiddo," Naruto said, patting her on the head. "How's school?"

"Classes suck ass!" Hanabi groaned.

"Hanabi!" Hinata warned. "Be mindful of your tongue."

Both Hanabi and Naruto looked at one another before she giggled. "Sorry about that sissy."

Right now, they were standing outside an ice-cream shop Hanabi wanted to go to downtown. Once Naruto had paid for the ice cream, they sat outside basking in the afternoon sun. Hinata's head was lost in the clouds as she continued to think about Naruto and his strange behavior. Maybe he had finally gotten into her head because, in a weird and twisted way, she missed his dark side. She missed scolding him for doing something he had no business doing!

While Hinata was deep in thought, Hanabi was too busy admiring Naruto's face. Her ice cream was quickly melting, but that didn't interrupt her from her ongoing stares. He was handsome, strong, and tall! She admired him, and maybe one would even say she had a puppy crush on him.

This girl was daring because Naruto stared right back at her, and she did not flinch or look away in embarrassment. Maybe like Hinata, she was lost in her thoughts to worry about the outside world. He continued to eat his strawberry ice cream, ignoring the ongoing stare.

Naruto grew increasingly normal from Hinata's observation. This Naruto was not her own. She was missing everything he stood for, and she wondered if she did the right thing.

To get some spark into Naruto, she did something out of the normal. When they were having dinner, she intentionally cut herself with the knife. She remembered the look Naruto gave when he saw the droplet ooze from her finger, and she was right. A light flickered in his eyes, and that night they had sex like they never did before.

If anyone was to see the bruise and bite marks on their bodies, they would have believed they were in an abusive relationship with each other.

However, it seems that a little bit of blood wasn't enough to get back to Naruto's dark side. What more could she do? Didn't she want it to be like this so she would never lose him?

He twisted her mind this way. He manipulated her and she knew. Her white cloth had become stained and although she said she could wash it off, she couldn't. He was her permanent stain on her.

Silence engulfed the two as they drank down the sake as if it was their last time together. Sasuke fiddled with miniature glass before sighing all his worries away.

"I should have never dated her," He admitted. "I should have ended it when I had the chance."

Naruto watched the soccer game that was on the television of the bar, his eyes focused on the athlete ready to kick.

"I just wish you would listen to me sometimes. Now she has most everyone against you."

"What's done is done. I can't change anything about it," Naruto shrugged. "She was my friend too. I didn't think much of it after you broke up with her. I'm just living life, unfazed."

Sasuke chuckled bitterly. "You know she messaged me with the same bullshit she gave Ino. I don't take demands from a bitch." He said, pouring himself another shot. Suddenly, he went quiet, and Naruto eyed him from the corner of his eyes. "She would have been the perfect girl for me if she didn't do that." He confessed.

"You don't cheat on someone you love and expect everything to be fine. As much as I'm starting to hate her, you fucked up which got her fucked up."

"I still love her."

"So, why did you cheat?" Naruto asked, gulping down the sake.

"You're acting like you never cheated on Hinata. I bet you have." Sasuke smacked his lips together; the taste of alcohol no longer existed. Each gulp of sake began to take like water.

"Nope. I've seen the effects of what it can do to a person."

"Was your childhood so fucked up, Naruto?" Sasuke mumbled. "Didn't that fuck you up?"

"You're drunk Sasuke. Try to stop drinking," Naruto said, taking away the bottle of sakes from him.

Fumbling with his keys, he ended up cursing when they fell to the ground. He wasn't intoxicated like his best friend who he had dropped off not too long ago, but he was a little irritated because of his situation.

Finally getting the door to open, he placed his keys on the keyholder that Hinata had gotten for him to make his home… homely. Speaking of Hinata, she had called him to come to his house as he had a surprise for him. Maybe it would be her in sexy lingerie. Thinking about that made him hard.

"Babe, I'm home."

"Naruto!" Hinata greeted him warmly. He opened his arms when she ran into him.

"I have a surprise for you," she said, looking up at him.

"A surprise?" Naruto's eyes glanced to the living room when he spotted another person in the room. It was a young woman with long jet-black hair sitting on his sofa. She'd look like one of the neighbors who lived a few doors down.

"A surprise!" Hinata giggled, her laughter sent a shiver down his spine. "Let's have fun!"
