"You never told him?" Korra asked, flashing Bolin an exasperated but also slightly angry look.

Bolin gave a guilty shrug. "I meant to, but you know how busy the President keeps me, and then Opal kind of made me promise not to tell anyone, and I wasn't sure if she meant anyone anyone, so I guess I just...I don't know...forgot."

He turned to his brother and gave him an extremely apologetic look. "Sorry bro, I should've told you a long time ago."

"Yeah," Mako replied, "you should've." Then he fixed his angry gaze on the Avatar. "And you should've too. How many people know?" He paused and his eyes narrowed even further. "Please tell me I'm not the very last person to find out."

Kuvira was silently watching the entire exchange, wondering if she could somehow back out of the room without being noticed. And then maybe bend a hole in the ground, crawl in it, and hide forever. And I thought seeing Bataar would be the most awkward thing to happen today.

Korra and Bolin exchanged a look, then Bolin said, "Well, not the last...President Moon doesn't know and neither does Varrick. Or the Fire Lord. Or anyone in the Earth Republic...except the Beifongs of course."

"Well, I'm glad to see that, on the list of importance, I rank right near the bottom," Mako retorted. "Or maybe you just don't trust me...is that it?"

"Mako, you know that's not true," Korra said, her tone placating. "I thought Bolin had told you...it was an honest mistake."

"Yeah," Bolin put in, "and like Korra said: there's a really good explanation for what happened and why Kuvira is, you know...not dead."

He gave Kuvira a look that clearly said you can jump in anytime now. Mako followed his gaze and, even though Kuvira had been ready to explain why she was standing there, very much alive, her voice died in her throat when she saw the resentful look on Mako's face.

"Save it," Mako replied, "I don't want to hear it. Because I don't care." He shook his head. "The two of you seem awfully friendly with her now. I assume Asami is too? And Opal? And the rest of the Beifongs?"

Then a thought seemed to occur to him and he looked angry again. "Is this where you've been coming with Opal, whenever you tell me you guys are going down South?"

Bolin's eyes went wide like he'd been caught red-handed and he guiltily nodded. Mako threw his hands up and groaned. "I just assumed you meant Zaofu. Spirits, I'm an idiot. And all of you let me continue being one…" He gave another angry shake of his head.

"Has everyone forgotten what she's done?!"

He turned to Korra. "She's tried to kill you–more than once."

Then to Bolin. "And you, too...and Opal...and me!"

Back to Korra. "Hiroshi is dead because of her…or have you forgotten?"

Korra immediately looked angry and opened her mouth to reply, but Mako ignored her and turned to Kuvira, leveling his ire at her. "She's tried to kill every single one of us...even her own family! How is everyone just okay with this?!"

"Because she's spent the last three years trying to make amends to those same people." Kuvira's eyes went wide and she turned to see Nayuh striding into the room, a cross look on her face. "And they have chosen to forgive her."

Mako stared at Nayuh, who was now standing next to Kuvira and glaring ice daggers at him. Then his eyes flicked to Kuvira, then to Bolin, then finally to Korra, who said, "Mako, I know this is a lot, but if you'll just let Kuvira explain–"

"No," Mako ground out, "I don't care what she has to say. And I don't want to hear whatever excuses you're about to make for her."

He pushed past Korra and Bolin and angrily marched past Kuvira and Nayuh and headed out of the rec room, passing Opal along the way.

"Hey, Mako, where are you…" Opal started but trailed off as Mako brushed past her as well, continuing on out into the corridor. Opal stared after him for a moment, then turned and gave everyone a very confused look. "What's gotten into him?"

"He just found out I'm still alive," Kuvira answered, her voice quiet now that she finally found it again.

Bolin sighed, then started for the door as well. "I'll go get him." He turned and looked back at Korra. "Don't worry Kor, I'll make sure he doesn't ruin this for you and Asami."

Korra gave him an appreciative look. "And I'm sorry Vira," Bolin added, "this is all my fault. I should've told him about you a long time ago."

"It's okay, Bolin, I'm not mad...at you or at your brother." She gave him a wan smile. "If anyone can make him see reason, you can."

"Thanks," Bolin replied, but he didn't seem so sure of himself.

"You'd better hurry," Opal said, "I came in here to tell you all that it's almost time." Bolin nodded, then jogged out of the rec room. Opal turned to Korra. "Your dad is looking for you...he said he would be in the Council's antechamber."

"Alright," Korra said with a sigh, "thanks." The excitement Kuvira had just seen in her eyes was now gone, and Kuvira couldn't help but think it was all her fault. This was supposed to be the happiest day of Korra's life.

"If you want me to leave, I will," Kuvira told Korra. "The last thing I want is to ruin today for you and Asami. Spirits knows I've caused enough pain in both your lives." Nayuh nudged her, hard, but Kuvira ignored it, keeping her gaze on Korra.

Korra studied her for a moment, then shook her head. "No, I want you to stay. You deserve to be here just as much as everyone else. Mako will come around...he's just upset we blindsided him."

"He's not going to cause any trouble for her, is he?" Nayuh asked, the earlier fire she'd come in with now gone, replaced by genuine concern.

Korra shook her head again. "No, I don't think so. Once Bolin has a chance to explain and he has time to cool off, he'll be fine. And besides...the only person he'd tell is Lin and she already knows. As does Tenzin. Mako's not the type to cause trouble just for the sake of it."

Nayuh nodded, but Kuvira could tell she wasn't convinced. If Kuvira wasn't careful, the protective side of her was going to come roaring out–she needed to make sure she kept Nayuh away from Mako for the remainder of the afternoon and evening.

Trying to lighten the mood and remind Korra of what was about to happen, Kuvira said, "Go find your dad...we'll catch up with you and your wife" –she purposefully put extra emphasis on the word– "after the ceremony."

That did the trick. Korra's face broke into her signature goofy grin. "My wife...wow that's weird to say."

"Well, you'd better get used to it," Nayuh said, smiling as well. "Now go, before you're late to your own wedding."

Korra turned to go, then without warning, threw her arms around Kuvira and Nayuh both. "Love you guys."

Kuvira chuckled and patted Korra's back. "We love you, too. Now, go."

Korra released them and with one last grin, hurried out of the rec room. Kuvira watched her go, then sighed as she turned to Nayuh. "I still don't think it's a good idea for me to be here."

Nayuh slid her hand into Kuvira's and started leading them out of the room. "You heard the Avatar: she wants you here. And you can't exactly disobey the Avatar on her wedding day."

Kuvira looked down at her and saw she was smirking. "A solid argument and one I know I won't win."

Nayuh's smirk grew wider. "No, you won't. Good to see that you're finally learning which battles you should and shouldn't pick with me."

Kuvira laughed, then leaned over to give her a kiss on the cheek. "I learned that a long time ago."

Kuvira and Nayuh slid into their seats with a few minutes to spare. Korra was already standing with Tonraq in the front of the room, shifting nervously as her eyes darted between everyone gathered and the back of the room. Kuvira couldn't remember a time she'd ever seen the Avatar so nervous and found it somewhat amusing. Korra looked like she was either on the verge of crying or vomiting. Or both.

"Last chance to change your bet," Kuvira whispered, as she leaned in close to Nayuh's ear.

Nayuh turned and had a retort ready, but immediately swallowed it as the music started. They got to their feet, along with everyone else, and all eyes turned towards the back of the room. The doors to the banquet hall opened a few moments later, and Kuvira felt her lips pull back into a smile as Asami walked in with Tenzin.

Then her smile instantly vanished and she unexpectedly felt her eyes sting with tears. It should be her father walking her down the aisle...not Tenzin. The guilt from taking that away from Asami crashed over Kuvira all at once. It was all she could do to not have a breakdown right then and there, which was the last thing Asami and Korra needed.

So she took a few deep breaths, trying to steady herself, and hoping that if anyone noticed that she was getting emotional, they'd chalk it up to the fact that this was a wedding and she wasn't the only one near tears.

And speaking of tears...as Asami got closer, Kuvira could see that she didn't have them, at least not yet. Her attention was solely on Korra and Kuvira was pretty sure she'd never, ever seen Asami as happy as she was right now. She was beaming and Kuvira followed her gaze and saw, much to her own smug satisfaction, that she'd easily won the bet.

Korra was also grinning from ear to ear as she watched Asami approach, but there were tears streaming down her face. Kuvira nudged Nayuh slightly, then leaned over and whispered, "Pay up. I win."

Nayuh sent a quick, but sharply accurate elbow into her ribs as a reply, causing Kuvira to grunt slightly in pain. Knowing she was pushing her luck, but unable to stop herself, Kuvira whispered, "Don't be a sore loser...if you don't want to pay me, I can think of other ways we could settle your debt." At that, Nayuh turned and gave her an exasperated look, which Kuvira returned with a smug shrug.

Tenzin left Asami's side once they got to Korra and Tonraq, and as soon as everyone took a seat, Tonraq got the ceremony started. After welcoming everyone he went through the Tribe's traditional blessings, of which there were several. Then he went over the customary rules that Korra and Asami would be expected to uphold as a married couple within the Tribe (which Nayuh had told Kuvira were more guidelines than actual rules, but it was still a tradition that was included in a marriage ceremony).

Once that was done, Tonraq had them read their vows, with Korra going first. By the time Asami was done with hers, both of them were crying and the majority of those present were at least a little teary-eyed, Kuvira and Nayuh included.

Kuvira looked over and caught Nayuh's eye, sharing a smile with her before sliding her hand into Nayuh's and interlacing their fingers together. Maybe it was the wedding and all the emotion that tended to come along with those, but Kuvira couldn't help but feel a surge of love as she held Nayuh's gaze for a few moments. The waterbender's eyes were glistening, but Kuvira could easily see that same love reflected back in them.

All that was left now was for Tonraq to give them his blessing as Chief, which he did with tears in his eyes. Unable to wait any longer, as soon as Tonraq was finished, Korra surged forward and planted her lips firmly on Asami's while everyone stood and cheered for the happy couple.

Now that the ceremony was over, Kuvira knew they had a couple of hours to kill before the reception. Korra and Asami stayed up front for a while to receive everyone's congratulations, then eventually moved outside to have their photos taken.

Having nothing better to do (and not wanting to cause another scene like the one earlier in the rec room, where Bolin, Opal, Mako, and the majority of the Beifongs had retreated to after the ceremony), Kuvira stuck around the banquet hall to help Senna and the staff reset the room for the reception.

And then it was time to celebrate. The band struck up the music, the alcohol started to flow, and another cheer went up as Korra and Asami re-entered, hand-in-hand and looking every bit the happily married couple they now were. They headed straight for the table that had been set up at the front of the room, which was reserved for them and Tonraq and Senna.

The food was served, speeches were given (and Bolin's was especially entertaining, as he couldn't get through it without crying), and the cake was cut. Kuvira spent the entirety of the more formal parts of the reception seated next to Nayuh at her family's table–which, surprisingly, hadn't been all that uncomfortable.

Until, as the music started up again, signaling the start of the more informal part of the festivities, Nayuh's brother Tulok turned to the two of them with a playful smirk and said, "So...when are you two getting married?"

Kuvira choked on her drink mid-sip, as did Nayuh's mother Kia, who immediately shot her son a look that wasn't unlike the one Nayuh was also giving him. "As soon as you and Yura do," Nayuh coolly replied, glaring at him.

Tulok, unfazed, just shrugged. "I was already thinking about asking her. Maybe now I will."

"Excuse me, young man," Nayuh's father, Tarrak, cut in. He leaned forward and narrowed his eyes at his son. "This is the first we're hearing of this. You can't just blindside your mother and me–"

"Come on, let's go, while they're distracted," Nayuh muttered under her breath as Tarrak continued to scold Tulok. She grabbed Kuvira's hand and drug her out of her seat and across the room to the open bar.

"Sorry about that," she said, after they gave the bartender their drink orders. "I know talking about weddings and marriage makes you uncomfortable, and with my mother sitting right there…" She sighed and thanked the bartender as he handed them their drinks.

Kuvira thanked him as well and took a sip before replying. "What makes you think talking about that stuff makes me uncomfortable?"

Nayuh gave her a slightly annoyed look. "When are you going to learn you can't hide anything from me? You've been deflecting for the last month, every single time this wedding has come up in conversation. And I think I know why."

Kuvira raised an eyebrow at her, encouraging her to go on. Instead of replying, Nayuh simply pointed across the room. Kuvira turned to see who or what she was pointing at and sighed when she realized it was Bataar.

"You know you have nothing to worry about with him," Kuvira said, turning back to her. "I'm not in love with him anymore. Haven't been for a long time. I love you."

"I know you do," Nayuh replied, "and I wasn't worried about you leaving me for him, or anything like that. I'm talking about the fact that you two used to be engaged." She eyed Kuvira closely. "And I think that scares you...because of how that engagement ended."

Kuvira was suddenly unable to look at her and found her gaze drifting back to Bataar. He caught her eye and gave her a small smile, which only caused Kuvira's heart to sink even further.

"I hurt him so badly," she said quietly. "I honestly thought he'd never want to speak to me again. And I wouldn't blame him in the slightest if he didn't."

Nayuh gently grabbed her arm and turned Kuvira back to her. "I know you did. But you were an entirely different person then. You know it and Bataar knows it. It seems like he's forgiven you though, based on what I've seen so far. Why don't you go talk to him? Clear the air between the two of you. It might make you feel better."

Kuvira studied her for a few moments, wondering yet again, how she got so lucky that Nayuh had chosen her. "I know I should, but I wouldn't even know where to start. I've apologized to him before, and it didn't go over very well."

"Maybe he wasn't ready to hear it then," Nayuh offered. "Maybe now, with some time, he is."

"Maybe," Kuvira slowly echoed. She swirled her drink around and took a long sip, coming to a decision. "Okay...I'll try and talk to him. But if it goes badly, I'm blaming you."

"I don't think it will, but if that'll make you feel better," Nayuh replied with a chuckle. She stepped closer to Kuvira and slid an arm around her waist. "And just so you know, I don't bring up the wedding or marriage stuff because I'm trying to pressure you into anything. I won't lie, it's crossed my mind a time or two, especially in the last month or so, but I'm perfectly happy with how things are now between us. So long as you are."

Kuvira smiled. "You know I am. And I appreciate you saying that." She dipped her head and kissed Nayuh, letting her lips linger longer than was probably necessary, given that they weren't alone. When she finally pulled away, she took a deep breath, then blew it out. "Okay...here goes nothing."

After downing the rest of her drink in one go and handing the glass to Nayuh, Kuvira quickly made her way across the room, to where Bataar was standing with his Aunt Lin and Tenzin's wife, Pema. Not wanting to interject herself too much into their conversation, she lightly touched Bataar's arm, getting his attention.

"Can I talk to you for a minute?" she asked, her voice low. Bataar nodded and politely excused himself, following Kuvira into a quiet part of the room where no one could overhear them.

"Everything okay?" Bataar asked, giving her a curious look.

Kuvira nodded and nervously wrung her hands, trying to find the right words to say. "I know I've said this before," she started, "and you didn't want to hear it, but now that you're here I feel like I need to say it again."

She looked up and met his gaze, seeing for the first time in a long time, that there was no hatred in his eyes. "I'm so sorry, Bataar...for everything I did to you. You were always there for me, always believed in me, even when I didn't believe in myself, and I threw that away like it meant nothing. You didn't deserve that and you didn't deserve me."

Bataar opened his mouth, but Kuvira held up a hand, cutting him off. "I've had so much time to think about who I was and what I did...not just to you, but to everyone I hurt. I was an awful person, who never deserved the love you gave me...I hate who I was then.

"I know you'll likely never forgive me and I can't blame you if you never do. I just want you to know how sorry I am, and that the time we did spend together meant the world to me. I'll always care for you, Bataar. Nothing will ever change that."

There. It was finally done. It wasn't the well-rehearsed, heartfelt apology that she'd been imagining for years now, but it had come from a place of genuine regret and guilt, and now that it was over, Kuvira felt like a weight had been lifted off of her heart. Regardless of what Bataar might say, Kuvira had finally said what she needed to. And, funnily enough, Nayuh had been right (again): she did feel better.

Much to Kuvira's surprise, Bataar smiled at her, then reached out and took her hands in his. "My turn." He locked eyes with her. "Kuvira, I forgive you. I forgave you a while ago, in fact."

Kuvira's eyes went wide, but before she could say anything, Bataar went on. "I never wanted to...I wanted to stay angry at you forever, but after what happened in Zaofu, after Sying took you and nearly killed you...I just couldn't. I can't even imagine what that must've been like to go through, but it put things into perspective for me.

"It made me realize that life is too short and too fragile. That, in the blink of an eye, it could all be taken away from us and we need to make the most of the time we're given. And carrying around all of the anger and hatred that I was...it wasn't how I wanted to live anymore. So I decided to let it go.

"I've never stopped caring for you and I never will. All I've ever wanted is for you to be happy. Would I have liked to have been the one to provide that happiness for you? Of course. But, that's not how it worked out and I've made my peace with that."

He smiled at her. "This new version of you–the real you–is who I knew you could be all along. I'm glad I'm finally getting to see her."

Kuvira had no idea what to say. As much as she wanted Su and Opal and the rest of the family to forgive her, she'd needed Bataar's forgiveness the most. And now that she had it…

"I...I don't know what to say," she said softly, returning his smile with a small one of her own. "Thank you, Bataar. You have no idea how much it means to me to hear you say that."

In response, he slightly tugged on her hands and Kuvira allowed him to pull her into a hug. It was familiar and comforting, the way it had been years ago and Kuvira allowed herself to enjoy it for a few moments. It also served to solidify her feelings for Nayuh, because while being held by Bataar still felt good, it didn't hold a candle anymore to how she felt when Nayuh would hold her.

The band eased into a slow number, and when Bataar finally pulled away he offered Kuvira his hand. "One last dance, for old times sake?"

"I thought you'd never ask," Kuvira replied with a grin. She took his hand and he led them to the dance floor.

Bataar held her close as they swayed to the music, but unlike the countless other times they'd done this (which had usually been when they were entirely alone, and always after long, hard days during their reunification efforts), there wasn't anything romantic about it. They were both perfectly content to enjoy the other's company, as it had been far too long since that had happened.

"I'm seeing someone else, too," Bataar suddenly blurted out. Kuvira pulled back slightly to look at him but didn't stop their swaying. He looked guilty, which caused Kuvira to chuckle.

"Has that been bothering you this whole time?" she asked him. He nodded, still looking guilty, though his face had relaxed slightly. She chuckled again. "Why?"

Bataar shrugged. "I don't know...I guess I thought you'd be upset? Stupid I know. I've known about you and Nayuh for a while now. And it never upset me," he quickly added, seeing Kuvira raise an eyebrow at him. "I was happy for you, that you'd found someone."

It was quiet for a few moments and Kuvira could tell he still had more he needed to say. "Okay, maybe at first I was upset," he amended, "and a little jealous. I didn't think you deserved to be with anyone again." He looked away. "I know that's selfish."

"No, it's not," Kuvira said gently. "I didn't think I deserved to be with anyone else either. Still don't, sometimes."

"It took Opal sitting me down and explaining everything for me to truly understand what you'd gone through," Bataar said, "and how Nayuh was the one who'd helped you through it, who saved your life."

"In more ways than one," Kuvira murmured. She cast a glance around the room, spotting her girlfriend deep in conversation with Korra and Asami. "She was there for me in a way no one else was. I never planned on anything happening between us. She was just my healer, and the only friend I had down here besides Korra. But it did and I can't imagine my life without her anymore."

Bataar smiled, and Kuvira quickly redirected the conversation back at him, before things could get uncomfortable. "So, who's the lucky girl?"

Bataar's smile grew wider. "Her name is Aasha. I met her while I was working with Dad on redesigning the domes."

Kuvira suddenly had a million questions, and almost all were about the redesign of the domes, but she swallowed them. "And how long have you two been dating? Does she know about, you know...everything?"

"For almost a year, and yes, she does." He suddenly looked a little uncomfortable. "Her family, ah...well, they were supportive of us and the Empire, so that's made things a little easier...as much as I hate to say that."

Kuvira nodded. "That does make things easier." Then she smirked. "At least her mom didn't threaten to kill you."

Bataar's eyes went wide and Kuvira's smirk grew wider as she launched into the story of Kia threatening her and how badly Nayuh reacted to finding out about her past. Before she knew it, she and Bataar had spent another two songs dancing together, until Nayuh finally came over and interrupted them.

Kuvira had thought it was because she'd grown jealous, but was left in utter shock as Nayuh took Bataar's hand and pulled him away from Kuvira. She gave Kuvira a satisfied smirk while Kuvira stared in disbelief as Nayuh and Bataar started dancing. Kuvira felt arms slide around her waist only seconds later and realized they belonged to the Avatar, who was clearly a little tipsy and who'd most definitely planned this entire ambush with Nayuh.

"You look lonely," Korra said, giggling a little. "Wanna dance?"

Kuvira turned in her arms and rolled her eyes. "This was all Nayuh's idea, wasn't it?" Korra tried to shrug innocently, but her grin gave her away. Kuvira could only chuckle as she wrapped her arms around Korra's neck and took the lead. "Where's your wife?"

"Over there," Korra replied, indicating with her head to another part of the dance floor, where Asami and Bolin were laughing as they held onto each other and swayed in time to the music. Both looked even more tipsy than Korra was, and Kuvira could only chuckle in amusement. It seemed as though the alcohol was doing its job and everyone was loosening up. Even Mako, whom Kuvira had successfully avoided so far, was laughing and dancing with one of the airbender kids.

The evening was winding down by the time Kuvira finally managed to get Nayuh in her arms again. After dancing with Korra, Kuvira moved on to Asami (if only to try and even the odds a little by taking the Avatar's wife away from her for a while), then Bolin (who was as clumsy as Kuvira expected, but she spent the entire time laughing right along with him), and she even managed to drag Tonraq out onto the dance floor for one song.

The downtime in between dancing was spent going back and forth to the bar and making sure she spent time with the rest of her family. As Sakku had predicted, Tonraq had thrown one helluva party and Kuvira sighed happily as she wrapped her arms around Nayuh's shoulders and pulled her close.

They were both on the edge of being fully drunk, and as Nayuh slid her hands around Kuvira's waist, she let one drift a little lower, subtly telling Kuvira what was on her mind. Which wasn't an issue at all, considering Kuvira was on the exact same page. She hugged Nayuh to her and dipped her head for a kiss, throwing a little heat in there for good measure.

The slow exodus of guests had begun around a half-hour ago and currently, the only ones on the dance floor were Nayuh and Kuvira, Korra and Asami, and Tonraq and Senna. All three couples were lost in each other, and Kuvira paid them no mind as Nayuh upped the intensity of their kiss and insistently pressed her hips into Kuvira's.

Kuvira finally broke it off and let her lips drift to Nayuh's ear. "Does that mean you're ready to go home?" She gave a slow roll of her own hips and felt Nayuh shudder slightly in response. "Because I definitely am."

"Mmm, I don't know if I can wait that long," Nayuh murmured in reply. She pulled her head back and gave Kuvira a playful look. "We should go up to your old room."

Kuvira frowned. "It's a guest room now and my entire family is staying here. There's no way we won't get caught."

Despite the fact that they were very much in public, Nayuh brought one of her hands around and let it drift down between their bodies, rubbing it ever so slightly in between Kuvira's legs. She managed to hit the correct spot and Kuvira sucked in a sharp breath as heat flooded through her. She was already incredibly turned on...she didn't need Nayuh making it any worse.

The waterbender's playful look turned mischievous. "Where's your sense of adventure? The risk of getting caught will only make it more fun." She slowly pulled her hand out, but not before grazing it against Kuvira one more time. It almost shattered what little remained of her resolve, but it held firm...barely.

"I don't know," Kuvira said slowly, as she looked around. No one seemed to be paying any attention to them. And most of the Beifongs were still present…

"We need to be quick," Kuvira said, coming to a decision.

Nayuh tilted her head up and kissed Kuvira. The fire behind it left her slightly breathless as Nayuh pulled away again. "I don't think that'll be a problem."

Kuvira didn't think it would be either. She took Nayuh's hand and led her out of the banquet hall and through the darkened corridors of the Palace. Her heart was racing as they made their way to her old room, in anticipation and also because she'd never really done anything like this before. The thought that someone could very well walk in on them was both terrifying and incredibly arousing.

Not that Nayuh was helping at all. Her hands were all over Kuvira and she stopped their progress a few times to back Kuvira up against a wall, giving her a taste of what was to come. By the time they got upstairs, Kuvira was positive that being quick wasn't going to be an issue. She had a feeling, once it was all said and done, she was only going to last a few minutes, tops.

Unfortunately, as soon as they rounded the corner and Kuvira's old room came into view, she saw that someone else had beat them to it. The door was already closed and she could hear the unmistakable sounds of whoever was inside having a very good time.

"Damn," she said, under her breath.

Nayuh giggled and walked a little closer to the closed door. She listened for a moment, then her eyes went wide and she clamped a hand over her mouth, stifling a laugh. Kuvira gave her a curious look as she walked closer...then she heard it.

"Oh, gross," she groaned, "I'm never going to be able to unhear that now."

Nayuh giggled again. "That's going to make seeing them tomorrow, quite awkward."

Kuvira made a face and turned away, wanting to put as much distance as she could between herself and the sounds that Opal and Bolin were making behind her old bedroom door. "I think that just ruined it for me."

Nayuh caught up to her and gently forced her against the wall. "Are you sure?" Then her mouth was on Kuvira's and her hand plunged all the way inside Kuvira's trousers. Kuvira moaned softly at the contact and instinctively started slowly rolling her hips as Nayuh's fingers did what they did best.

It took a few moments for Kuvira to come up with another solution to their little problem; once she did, she reluctantly pulled her mouth away from Nayuh's and grabbed her wrist, stopping her.

"I have an idea...come on." She led Nayuh back downstairs, down another dark and deserted corridor, finally arriving at the library, which she was hoping would be completely unoccupied, given the hour of the evening and the fact that no one in their right mind would think of coming in here tonight.

There was a small table nestled in the back, behind all the stacks of books and well hidden from the entrance and that's where Kuvira led Nayuh to. She'd long ago deemed it her table, as it had been her favorite place to while away the hours during her recovery. Now, however, it was about to serve another purpose.

Knowing they needed to be quick (and that there would be plenty of time for foreplay and build-up later, once they were home), Kuvira backed Nayuh up until she bumped against the table. Nayuh got the hint and hopped up on it, sitting on the edge and never letting her lips or hands stray from Kuvira.

A few moments later, Kuvira managed to get the bottom of Nayuh's long tunic up to her waist, then quickly relieved Nayuh of her trousers and underwear. Nayuh pulled her in for one more searing kiss, then Kuvira dropped to her knees and leaned forward.

Nayuh wrapped her legs around Kuvira's shoulders and leaned back, unable to stop a few moans that escaped as Kuvira's tongue and fingers went to work. It was immediately and wholly apparent that Nayuh's earlier assessment about this not taking very long was correct; it only took a few passes of Kuvira's tongue accompanied by a few thrusts of her fingers for Nayuh to reach down and thread a hand through Kuvira's hair, a sign Kuvira knew meant that she was already close.

A minute or two later, Nayuh's grip on Kuvira's head tightened and she stuffed her other hand in her mouth, in an attempt to muffle the cries of pleasure that were trying to force their way out. A feat of control that Kuvira knew took some effort, given that Nayuh tended to be the louder one of the two of them when it came to this.

Although, considering how wildly Nayuh's hips were moving as she rode out her (what sounded to be an incredibly intense) orgasm, Kuvira was more worried that someone might hear the creaking of the table. Eventually, her movements slowed and then stopped and Kuvira matched Nayuh's pace, watching with an immense amount of satisfaction as Nayuh collapsed back onto the table, breathing hard.

"Holy…" Nayuh said, sitting up on her elbows and gazing down at Kuvira, who slowly removed her fingers and stood back up with a stupid grin on her face. "...spirits, that was insanely hot."

"Agreed," Kuvira said. She reached down and lightly grazed her thumb over Nayuh, who twitched and grabbed Kuvira's wrist.

"Ah...not until we get home. I need some time to recover after that." She gave Kuvira a playful smirk, then hopped off the table and quickly put her underwear and trousers back on. Then she turned to Kuvira and pulled her into another searing kiss, while her hands quickly undid the tie holding Kuvira's trousers up.

"Your turn," she murmured into Kuvira's mouth. Then she dropped to her knees and pulled Kuvira's trousers and underwear all the way off. She barely let Kuvira get one foot out of them before she attached her mouth to Kuvira's most sensitive spot, and all Kuvira could do was lean back against the table and widen her stance.

It wasn't a position they used often, but it was one that Kuvira absolutely loved. Something about having Nayuh kneeling in front of her brought out primal thoughts and emotions Kuvira didn't even know existed. Under normal circumstances, Kuvira never lasted very long when they did this, but tonight, she had a feeling she was about to set a new record for how quickly Nayuh was going to make her come.

Her girlfriend seemed to know it too because she wasted no time in bringing a hand up and adding a couple of fingers to the already incredible sensations her tongue was creating. It was nearly too much and Kuvira had to shove a hand in her mouth to stifle her own cries of pleasure as she quickly unraveled.

Nayuh had been absolutely right, on all accounts. Not only was it not going to take them very long, but the thrill of possibly being caught only added to the excitement. It wasn't but a couple of minutes after Nayuh started that Kuvira came completely undone.

It had to have been one of the most intense orgasms that Kuvira had had in recent memory, and she abandoned all care of anyone hearing them as she rode wave after wave of incredible pleasure. It seemed to go on forever and when she was finally done, she slumped against the table, one hand holding her up and the other appreciatively stroking the top of Nayuh's head.

Nayuh grinned up at her as she made a few more lazy passes of her tongue. Kuvira twitched in response, but smiled back, completely and utterly blissed out for the time being. Nayuh gave one more flick of her tongue, then slowly withdrew her hand and stood back up.

"You're right," Kuvira said, almost mumbling, "that was insanely hot."

Nayuh pecked a few kisses along her jawline, before giving her a soft kiss. "Told you it would be fun."

"Mmhmm," Kuvira murmured, kissing her again. Then she pulled back and gave Nayuh a teasing smirk. "Ready to go home now?"

"Oh yeah," Nayuh replied. She bent over and grabbed Kuvira's trousers and underwearand handed them to her. "This night is definitely not over."

"Not even close," Kuvira said as she pulled them on. Then she leaned in close to Nayuh's ear. "Maybe I'll even let you tie me up tonight."

Nayuh's eyes went wide in what could only be described as a look of sheer hope. "And let me use the ice?"

Kuvira shrugged. "Only if I'm allowed to return the favor."

Nayuh grinned and took Kuvira's hand, tugging her towards the library's entrance. "Deal."

Kuvira allowed herself to be pulled along, already imagining what kinds of things she was going to do to Nayuh as soon as they got home.
