"Where are you going?" Nayuh asked, more than a little annoyed. "The Chief is outside waiting on us."
"Just realized I forgot something," Kuvira called over her shoulder as she ran back into their bedroom.
She hadn't actually forgotten anything–this was the only chance she'd had to grab the betrothal necklace from its hiding place in one of her drawers, without Nayuh noticing it. She'd stashed it there, completely out of sight, knowing Nayuh would never find it.
And fortunately, she hadn't. Kuvira quickly snatched it from its hiding spot and pocketed it, then grabbed an extra pair of underwear as a cover. She rushed back out, seeing that Nayuh was very impatiently waiting by the front door.
Kuvira flashed her a guilty grin and held up the underwear. As soon as Nayuh saw what she'd gone back for–what was making them even later than they already were–she rolled her eyes. "One pair of underwear? Seriously? You packed enough…one pair isn't going to make that big of a difference."
"You never know," Kuvira cheerfully replied as she shoved the underwear in her bag and zipped it shut. "Okay, I'm ready now," she added as she stood up.
Nayuh's only response was to open the door and walk out. She was already halfway down the hall by the time Kuvira managed to lock the door and she hurried after her. For whatever reason, Nayuh seemed more stressed out about this trip than Kuvira was, even though Kuvira was the one who had every reason under the sun to be stressed out. But she knew that by the time they finally got airborne, Nayuh would calm down. And if she didn't, Kuvira had a few tricks up her sleeve to help speed that process along.
Just as Nayuh said, Tonraq was waiting for them outside, leaning against his snowmobile. He'd graciously agreed to ferry them out to the small airfield that sat on the edge of the city. It was rarely used since the cold made it hard for airships to take off and land–bringing people and supplies in by ship was much easier. Not to mention safer and far less expensive. But Asami's airship was supposedly one of the finest in the world, and she'd assured Kuvira that it'd have no issues getting them out of Harbor City.
Tonraq gave them an easy smile as they hurried out the door of their apartment building. "Sorry Chief," Nayuh said to him as they walked up, "someone" –she turned and glared at Kuvira– "didn't want to get out of bed on time this morning."
Kuvira knew better than to argue with her, if only because Nayuh was right. She was the sole reason they were now late meeting Tonraq. The going back for a supposed forgotten pair of underwear had just been the last straw of Nayuh's patience with her.
"No worries," Tonraq said, his tone conveying that it wasn't a problem at all, "the airship arrived only thirty minutes ago. So, really, you're not late."
As much as Kuvira wanted to give Nayuh a smug look, she resisted. She was already more than halfway into the polar bear dog house. No sense in pushing her luck and winding up all the way in it, when this was supposed to be a fun trip. A fun trip that would see them on an airship together for almost four full days before they even arrived in Republic City.
Tonraq helped them get their bags strapped to the snowmobile, then they piled on and wound their way through the city. Despite the risks that this trip entailed, Kuvira found her excitement growing, the closer to the airfield they got. However, when the airship finally came into view, her excitement lessened considerably.
She wasn't sure what she'd expected–it wasn't like Asami had suddenly gotten a new airship in the last few years. Or maybe Kuvira had just decided to forget about the last time she'd been on it. Either way, seeing the familiar green and white behemoth brought a flood of memories, none of them good. In fact, the only "good" thing about that entire trip to force Commander Guan into surrendering had been her release into Su's custody.
Kuvira swallowed hard as Tonraq pulled up alongside the boarding ramp, where a man decked out in a crisp pilot's uniform was waiting. She hadn't had any interaction with the crew the last time she was on board, but still…Kuvira ducked her head and kept her eyes on the ground as she slowly climbed off the snowmobile after Nayuh.
She busied herself with untying the bags while Tonraq warmly greeted the man. Kuvira managed to get both bags untied and handed Nayuh hers before Tonraq called them over. "Vira, Nayuh, this is Captain Sim."
Captain Sim bowed to them, which, judging by Nayuh's face, caught her just as off-guard as it did Kuvira. "Welcome aboard," Sim said, as he straightened up. "I'll be taking you both to Republic City. It's just me, my First Officer, Lieutenant Keo, and our engineer, Lieutenant Zhao, so if you need anything while we're en route, don't hesitate to let one of us know."
The man gave no indication that he recognized her, so Kuvira returned his bow. "Thank you, Captain. We definitely will."
Sim gave her a warm smile. "We'll be airborne shortly. If you'll follow me, I can show you to your quarters."
Kuvira nodded and turned to Tonraq. "Thanks for giving us a ride. I'll call when we get there to let you know we made it safely."
Tonraq reached for a hug, which Kuvira was happy to return. "Make sure you give me a heads-up when you're on your way back, too. That way I can be here to pick you up."
"I will," Kuvira promised. Tonraq released her and Kuvira picked up her bag and trailed behind Nayuh as she followed Captain Sim up the boarding ramp and into the ship. She fought the urge to wrinkle her nose as she looked around the grand room that was the main common area. The last time she'd been in it, she'd spent the better part of her time either handcuffed or confined to a platinum body prison.
In fact, she hadn't really gotten to see any of the ship other than her small quarters and the common area the last time, so when Captain Sim took them on a quick, but thorough tour, she was taken aback by how large and opulent the airship really was. And she and Nayuh would have the run of the entire place for the next four days.
Captain Sim left them at the door to their quarters, which Kuvira could tell was the master suite. Asami and Korra really pulled out all the stops for this, was all she could think as Nayuh opened the door and they stepped inside.
It opened into a common area, complete with a couple of couches and chairs arranged around a low table. Massive glass windows stretched the entirety of the room, giving them an unobstructed view of the outside. Off the common area was the bedroom, with a large bed (larger than the one they had at home), another couch, and two wardrobes sitting against the wall opposite the one that was entirely windows.
There was another door opposite the one they entered the bedroom from, and when Kuvira poked her head inside she realized it was the ensuite bathroom, which boasted a massive stand-up shower as well as a stand-alone tub.
"Asami owns this whole thing?" Nayuh incredulously asked, as she came up behind Kuvira and peered into the bathroom with her.
"Yep," Kuvira quietly replied. "She inherited the company and everything that came with it when I killed her father."
Nayuh slid her arms around Kuvira's waist and gave her a small squeeze. She knew there was nothing she could say to ease Kuvira's guilt over that, but the gesture of affection was welcome nonetheless.
Kuvira sighed, then turned in Nayuh's arms. "It was very nice of her to allow us to use it for this trip, though. I never got to see most of it the last time."
Nayuh looked surprised. "You've been on this before?"
Kuvira nodded. "When I was still a prisoner. It was when I helped Korra and everyone take Commander Guan into custody. You remember me telling you about that, right?"
"That's how you were able to earn a lighter sentence," Nayuh answered. She smiled, the first one Kuvira had seen from her all morning. "Which inevitably led you to me."
Kuvira returned her smile. "Best-worst thing that's ever happened to me." Deciding to chance it, now that Nayuh no longer seemed to be upset with her, she dipped her head and gave Nayuh a soft kiss.
Nayuh entertained it, for a moment. Then she pulled away and gave Kuvira a look. "You're not out of the polar bear dog house yet, for this morning. Just so you know."
Kuvira couldn't help herself and laughed. "Damn…well, just give me some time. I'll work my way out eventually. I always do."
Nayuh rolled her eyes, but Kuvira could tell she was at least a little amused. She let go of Kuvira to walk back into the bedroom. "Looks like they left us a little gift," Nayuh said, walking over to one of the bedside tables. Sure enough, a small-ish wrapped box was sitting on the top of it. Curious, Kuvira walked over to join her.
There was a folded-up note stuck under the ribbon encircling the package, which Nayuh promptly freed. And as soon as she opened it, Kuvira knew who had written it. And who had left them the gift. Seeing Korra's handwriting instantly made Kuvira suspicious about what this supposed "gift" was going to be, and she narrowed her eyes as Nayuh read Korra's note out loud.
"Vira and Nayuh…having made this trip more than a few times, I know how boring it can get. So here's a gift from Asami and me, that will hopefully help you pass the time in a more entertaining way. Love, your favorite Avatar and CEO."
Nayuh offered the note to Kuvira so she could see it, and Kuvira's suspicions grew even more when she saw the attempt Korra had made at drawing out a winking face. "I'm almost afraid to open it," Kuvira said, looking at Nayuh.
"That makes two of us," Nayuh replied with a laugh. Her fingers lightly toyed with the ribbon and she gave Kuvira a hesitant look. "On three?"
Kuvira made a point to take two steps back, then nodded. "Go for it."
"Oh, I see how it is," Nayuh said, amusedly shaking her head. "I highly doubt it's dangerous."
"You never know," Kuvira replied, giving her a dubious look. "I don't trust Korra as far as I could throw her. Which, incidentally, isn't that far."
"I feel like there's a story behind that," Nayuh said. Kuvira not-so-innocently shrugged and Nayuh turned her attention back to the package. "Well…here goes nothing."
She quickly unwrapped it, then opened the box. Kuvira was still keeping her distance as Nayuh peered inside, but when Nayuh's eyes went wide and she burst out laughing, Kuvira quickly moved to her side to see what was so funny.
But she still didn't understand the joke, even as she gazed down into the open box in Nayuh's hands. In fact, her eyes narrowed as she stared at the object inside–an object that looked suspiciously like a certain part of the male anatomy. What the… Why on earth Korra had left them this…whatever it was, of all things, was completely beyond her.
"What is that?" Kuvira asked Nayuh, who was now near tears from laughing so hard. Her reaction told Kuvira that she knew more than she was letting on.
Nayuh seemed incapable of responding coherently, so Kuvira crossed her arms and waited. Eventually, Nayuh was able to calm herself down enough to talk, but by that point, Kuvira was well on her way to being sufficiently annoyed at her…and Korra…and Asami.
"It's…" Nayuh started, then she paused, on the verge of dissolving into another fit of laughter. She took a deep breath, composing herself again. "It's something that Asami told me about, while we were hanging out at the Festival. Something she and Korra have used, to...ah…how'd she put it? Spice things up in the bedroom."
Her face flushed as she said the last part and Kuvira felt hers do the same. Sure, she and Korra had a comfortable enough relationship now where they could brush the surface of discussing their sex lives, but this…this felt entirely inappropriate. And, on top of that, Kuvira didn't think her sex life with Nayuh needed any spicing up. It was already spicy enough, thank you very much.
Kuvira's face must have indicated she still wasn't quite grasping what Nayuh was trying to say, so Nayuh decided to elaborate further. She picked the…thing up out of the box and Kuvira could now see it had a few leather straps attached to it. She looked at Nayuh, waiting for her to explain.
"The way Asami explained it to me," Nayuh said, "is that one person wears it and then…you know…" She trailed off and made a few thrusting motions with her hips.
Kuvira's eyes went wide as her brain finally made the connection. Nayuh, seeing that she finally understood, looked somewhere between ridiculously embarrassed and amused.
"Why in the hell would Korra think that we would want or need something like that?" Kuvira said, trying and failing to keep the irritation out of her voice. Of all the ways for Korra to insert herself into their lives, this felt like the worst one.
"Don't blame Korra," Nayuh said. She set the box back on the nightstand and came over to Kuvira. "If anything, blame me," she added, as she forced Kuvira to uncross her arms and then placed them around her neck. "I might have mentioned to Asami that I thought it would be fun to try it."
An entire host of thoughts and emotions rushed through Kuvira in the span of a few seconds and when the dust finally settled, her pride was more than a little wounded. Am I that bad that she thinks we need to try something different? I thought things were fine between us when it came to that… Worst of all, Kuvira just couldn't understand why Nayuh had felt comfortable talking to Asami about something like this, and not her.
Kuvira let go of Nayuh and sank down onto the edge of the bed. "Have I been doing something wrong during…that?" Her voice was quiet and she found herself unable to look Nayuh in the eye.
"Spirits, no," Nayuh quickly replied. She knelt down in front of Kuvira, forcing her to look at her. "It has absolutely nothing to do with how things are between us in bed. And I never actually told Asami I wanted one…just that it might be fun to try it, based on what she told me."
She sighed. "She must've told Korra and then Korra jumped to what she thought was the obvious conclusion…as she tends to do."
Kuvira stiffly nodded but didn't say anything. That certainly sounded like something Korra would do. Nayuh tentatively reached out and took Kuvira's hands in hers. "I swear to you, there is nothing wrong with us in that department. There never has been and I don't think there ever will be."
She gave an awkward shrug. "You know how I'm always up for trying new things though…that's the only reason it ever came up in conversation with Asami, I swear."
Kuvira studied her, still not saying anything. It was true: Nayuh was the more adventurous of the two of them in bed–she was the one who'd suggested the whole tying each other up idea in the first place. Which, once Kuvira had gotten over her hesitations about it, had turned out to be a very good idea.
And it wasn't like Kuvira didn't trust Nayuh with every fiber of her being. If this was something else Nayuh wanted to try, maybe she ought to at least give it a chance before dismissing it outright. She could at least give Nayuh that much. And…it wasn't as though she never enjoyed having sex that way.
"I believe you," Kuvira finally said, and Nayuh visibly relaxed a little. "Sorry I freaked out on you like that."
Nayuh shook her head. "You have nothing to be sorry for. I completely understand why you did. But, you should know by now, that there is absolutely nothing wrong with your ability to completely satisfy me in bed. I think I've made that more than clear, a few times."
She gave Kuvira a small, knowing smirk, which Kuvira couldn't help but return with one of her own. "A few times?" Nayuh's smirk turned into a smile and she chuckled.
"Okay, more than a few times," she amended. "But you get the point."
Kuvira nodded. "I do. And…I guess if you really wanted to, we could try it."
"That's entirely up to you," Nayuh replied. "If you're not comfortable with it, then it's going to stay inside that box and never come out. We'll just give it back to them once we get to Republic City."
Kuvira could feel some of her confidence returning as a few images swam in her mind of just how they might use it. Then something occurred to her and she scrunched up her face. "I think I'm comfortable with it, but…that had better not be Korra and Asami's."
Nayuh understood what she was saying immediately and also looked disgusted. She got up and peered into the box. Much to Kuvira's surprise, she pulled out another note and quickly read it. Then she gave Kuvira an amused look. "Good news: it's not theirs."
She held the note out and Kuvira took it from her. Sure enough, Korra had added another hand-written message stating, in no uncertain terms, that the "gift" was brand new. How and where she had managed to acquire it was a whole other issue, but Republic City was far more progressive and advanced than the South was, so Kuvira wasn't necessarily surprised that she'd somehow managed to get her hands on it.
"Well, thank the spirits for that," Kuvira replied, handing the note back to Nayuh. She took a deep breath and blew it out. "Yes, I think I'm okay with it…just maybe not right this second?"
Nayuh chuckled and stepped in between Kuvira's legs, placing her hands on either side of Kuvira's face. "That's perfectly fine by me. I'm nowhere near in the mood right now, anyway. And we have four days until we reach Republic City, right?" Kuvira nodded. "Plenty of time then."
Kuvira smiled up at her and Nayuh bent down, giving her a gentle kiss. True to her word, there wasn't any heat behind it–just a sweetness that was all Nayuh and had a way of melting Kuvira's heart into a puddle, every single time.
"Does this mean I'm out of the polar bear dog house, now?" Kuvira jokingly asked once they broke apart.
Nayuh eyed her closely, pretending like she was thinking it over, but Kuvira could tell she was holding back a smile. A few moments later, the smile broke free and she nodded. "It does. Now…I'm pretty sure I saw a fully-stocked galley on our tour. And since someone didn't get up in enough time for us to eat breakfast, I'm starving."
"Yeah, that's my bad," Kuvira said, flashing her a guilty look. She stood up and took Nayuh's hand. "Come on, let's go find you some food before that hunger turns into anger."
After eating, they spent the rest of the day lounging on the airship's upper observation deck, half of which was enclosed, while the other half was open to the elements. The farther north they traveled, the warmer the air became, and by mid-afternoon both of them had shed their heavier warming layers for just trousers and tank tops.
Since it was just the two of them, Kuvira felt comfortable enough to use her bending for some sparring practice with some strips of metal she'd brought with her, before dinner. Nayuh had finally managed to pinpoint the issue with her shoulder (something about a bundle of nerves that had been severely damaged) and had been able to heal it enough that Kuvira no longer needed to use the sling. Although, she still could only go about fifty percent in training. Any harder, and she'd end up in so much pain she'd be unable to use her arm at all for a few days afterward.
And since she needed both arms working by the time they arrived in Republic City, she made absolutely sure she didn't push it on the observation deck. The training session left her sweaty and tired, but happy. Not to mention it helped to clear her head of all the doubts and insecurities that had clouded it earlier.
She went back inside to get them both a glass of water and when she emerged onto the deck again, she saw that Nayuh had ditched her tank top altogether and was leaning against the observation deck's railing, naked from the waist up, save for her breastband. The sight made Kuvira's stomach do a backflip and her mouth suddenly went dry. Nearly two years in and Nayuh still had the ability to take her breath away.
Kuvira knew she was staring as she walked up, but made no attempt to avert her eyes. If anything, she let them make it plainly clear what she was thinking. Nayuh smirked at her, clearly reading Kuvira's mind. "See something you like?" Her tone was playfully suggestive as she watched Kuvira's eyes flick up and down.
"Always," Kuvira replied with her own smirk. She handed Nayuh her glass of water and took a sip of her own. "You can't stand there, half-naked, and expect me not to stare at you."
Nayuh looked down, as if she'd just now noticed she was shirtless.
"The sun feels really good," she replied with a casual shrug. "And I was hot."
"That you are," Kuvira agreed. She reached out and slowly trailed a couple of fingers down Nayuh's toned stomach, letting them linger for a moment at the waistband of her trousers.
She didn't have any intention of doing anything other than casually teasing Nayuh, but then Nayuh sucked her stomach in slightly, allowing Kuvira's fingers to slip just inside her trousers. It was such a simple, subtle gesture, but it sent a jolt of heat through Kuvira. She knew exactly what Nayuh was telling her, but she still looked up, needing confirmation.
Nayuh met her gaze with a look in her eyes that Kuvira knew very well. A war suddenly broke out in her mind: one side wanted to throw caution to the wind and do it right here, out in the open; the other, more logical side, was yelling at her to go back to the bedroom.
But the bedroom had that gift in it and that wasn't a conversation Kuvira was ready to have again. A third, more powerful side, joined the war: her ego, telling her she needed to prove that she alone was good enough for Nayuh.
In the end, her ego and the first side won out. She continued to casually sip on her water as she allowed her hand to slowly travel lower, until it was all the way inside Nayuh's trousers. Nayuh held her gaze, also trying to maintain an air of nonchalance, but there was a growing heat in her cheeks that had nothing to do with the heat of the late afternoon.
Kuvira had figured that Nayuh would need at least some build-up, but when her hand finally slipped in between Nayuh's legs, she found that wasn't the case. She raised an eyebrow at Nayuh while starting to slowly tease her with one of her fingers.
Nayuh bit back a pleased groan, still set on maintaining her composure. For now. "I couldn't help it," she managed to get out, and Kuvira could tell she was fighting the urge to start rolling her hips. "It's been a while since we've sparred, and with your shirt off and just in that tank top…"
"Does it turn you on, every time we spar?" Kuvira asked, setting her glass of water on the railing. She brushed her lips across Nayuh's ear and the waterbender shuddered at the touch.
"Not always," Nayuh replied, her voice taut with barely controlled restraint. "But most of the time, yes."
It was a restraint that Kuvira knew wouldn't last much longer. And sure enough, as soon as she slowly pushed inside, that restraint broke. Nayuh moaned and sank against Kuvira, wrapping her arms around her shoulders. She didn't seem to mind that they were very much exposed where they were, and Kuvira decided to take full advantage of it. She knew the three-member crew would likely never venture up to where they were unless there was an emergency.
With one hand already occupied, Kuvira quickly reached down with her other one and started undoing the knot that was holding Nayuh's trousers up. Not only was it currently hindering her movement, but she also needed the trousers completely out of the way for what she wanted to do next.
It took a few tries, but then the knot was gone and Kuvira suddenly had a lot more room to work. She took advantage of it, adding another finger and thrusting even deeper, still maintaining a slow pace. Nayuh seemed content to let things play out the way they were going and her hips rolled up to meet each thrust.
Only when Kuvira knew that Nayuh was about to reach her tipping point, did she stop. And as soon as she withdrew her hand, Nayuh let out an exasperated groan, pulling her head off Kuvira's shoulder to give her an annoyed look.
"Seriously?" Kuvira's only reply was to smirk at her, before dropping to her knees. She planted kisses on Nayuh's stomach as she worked her trousers and underwear off. As soon as they were out of the way, she leaned forward and let her tongue lightly flick over Nayuh. Nayuh let out a moan of approval and grasped the sides of Kuvira's head, massaging it gently while Kuvira went to work.
Again, once she could tell Nayuh was getting close, she pulled away. And again, Nayuh gave her an extremely agitated look. "I get the feeling you're trying to prove something, and I don't think I like it."
Kuvira gave her an innocent shrug. "Have I ever left you unsatisfied before?"
"You already know the answer to that question," Nayuh exasperatedly replied.
"Then trust me," Kuvira said, grinning. She leaned forward again, gave a few more teasing flicks of her tongue, then grasped the back of Nayuh's thighs and started to lean back. As soon as Nayuh realized what she was doing, the exasperation and annoyance were gone. She let Kuvira get settled onto her back, then knelt over top of her, straddling her face.
Having already brought Nayuh to the brink twice now, Kuvira didn't think she'd last too long once she got started, so she took things slow at first. But it didn't take long before Nayuh had a hold of Kuvira's head again while her hips rolled in time with Kuvira's thrusts.
With nothing but open air around them, and no one around, Nayuh didn't feel the need to restrain herself, and the sounds she was making, coupled with what Kuvira could feel, drove spikes of heat straight to her core.
It also served to confirm Nayuh's earlier statement about there being nothing wrong with Kuvira's ability to completely satisfy her. And as Nayuh finally crashed over the edge and came completely undone above her, Kuvira felt her earlier doubts and insecurities completely melt away. It was the ego and confidence boost she needed and she knew that if Nayuh brought up the idea of using the gift again, she'd be okay with it.
Eventually, Nayuh's movements slowed, then came to a stop. Kuvira withdrew her hand and Nayuh slumped down on top of her, breathing hard, but letting out a contented sigh as Kuvira stroked her back.
"That sounded intense," Kuvira remarked.
"Mmm, it was," Nayuh replied. "See…I told you, you have nothing to worry about. You're more than capable of getting me off." She rolled her hips a few times against Kuvira's pelvis as if to drive her point home. To say Kuvira was turned on would be an understatement, and the contact felt more than good. "I could probably go again, honestly."
"Oh, is that so?" Kuvira replied. She quickly rolled them over, so Nayuh was on her back, and snaked her hand down in between their bodies. Nayuh's back arched and she let out a soft moan as Kuvira pushed a couple of fingers inside her again. She started slowly thrusting, adding a roll of her own hips to the movement.
Nayuh wrapped her legs around Kuvira's back and didn't say another word. She was too caught up in the pleasure Kuvira was giving her. It was rare for them not to kiss during times like this, and while Kuvira very much wanted to bring her lips to Nayuh's, she held off. She wanted to watch her come undone again, watch as her face scrunched up in pure bliss just before she came, knowing that it was what she was doing that was the cause.
She didn't have to wait long. Nayuh's assessment had been correct, and a few minutes after Kuvira started thrusting, Nayuh's second orgasm crashed over her. Kuvira watched, mesmerized, at just how beautiful the woman she loved was when she came unraveled like this.
Nayuh's movements finally slowed and she opened her eyes, giving Kuvira a completely blissed out smile. Kuvira returned it and withdrew her hand again, finally leaning forward and giving Nayuh a soft kiss. "We should spar more often, if this is going to be the outcome," Kuvira murmured.
"I'll agree," Nayuh replied. "That was incredible…I just hope the crew didn't see us."
Kuvira grinned. "Well, if they did, they got quite the show." She gave a few slow, but insistent thrusts of her hips, grinding them into Nayuh. "And hopefully it's not over?"
"Oh, you think it's your turn now, huh?" Nayuh playfully replied. "I don't know…you were quite the tease earlier. I'm not sure you've earned your turn."
"I just got you off twice," Kuvira said, pouting. "I'd say I definitely earned it."
Nayuh took a few moments to answer, pretending she was mulling it over. "Okay…I suppose you're right. But…"
Kuvira raised an eyebrow. "But…what?"
"But…" Nayuh said, suddenly looking a little nervous, "I kind of maybe want to use the gift…on you?"
For a moment, Kuvira had no idea what to say. Then, remembering the promise she'd just made to herself, she nodded. "Okay."
Nayuh's face pulled into a frown. "Just okay? If you're not comfortable with it just tell me, Vee. There are plenty of other things I can do."
"Oh, I know there are," Kuvira replied with a chuckle. "But I'm comfortable with it. You're just going to have to go slow...it's been a while."
Nayuh lifted her head and kissed her. It was wholly apparent that her agreeing to this had made Nayuh extremely happy. "I can do that," Nayuh said.
Kuvira got to her feet and helped Nayuh to hers. After she was fully clothed again they made their way back down to their suite. The time it had taken them to get down there certainly hadn't dimmed Kuvira's need, but her nerves were starting to get the best of her.
She was a creature of habit and had gotten comfortable over the last two years with how this aspect of her relationship with Nayuh was. Now that they were about to shake things up again, she couldn't help but be nervous.
It must've been showing because the moment they walked into the bedroom Nayuh asked, "You okay?"
Kuvira turned and gave her what she hoped was a reassuring smile. "Yeah, I am. Just a little nervous I guess."
"I am, too," Nayuh admitted. "It's not like I've ever done this before. I don't exactly know what I'm doing and I don't want to hurt you."
"You won't, I promise," Kuvira said, leaning in to kiss her. "Let's just take it slow and if it's too uncomfortable then we'll do something else. Deal?"
Nayuh kissed her again. "Deal."
Kuvira didn't let Nayuh's lips stray too far and pulled her back in for another kiss. She let things build slowly, unlike they had on the observation deck. Nayuh didn't seem to be in any rush either, and they took their time relieving each other of the articles of clothing they had on.
By the time Nayuh gently pushed her back onto the bed, Kuvira's nerves had faded into anticipation. "Do you want me to help?" Kuvira asked as Nayuh got the gift (Toy? Gift? We really need to come up with a better name, she idly thought) out.
Nayuh turned it over in her hands for a few moments, studying it. "No, I think I got it." Kuvira watched, semi-amused, for the next minute or two, as Nayuh tried to figure out how to put the thing on. Once she did, Kuvira couldn't help but laugh a little.
"Well, that's something I never thought I'd see," Kuvira said, as Nayuh shot her a look. It was obvious her earlier confidence had lessened considerably and Kuvira gently took her hand. "First things first: you need to get me ready." Then she guided Nayuh's hand down in between her legs.
Kuvira laid back down and let Nayuh do what she does oh-so-well until she reached the point where she knew that if Nayuh kept going, they'd have no use for the thing currently strapped to her hips.
"Okay," Kuvira rasped out, "that's good."
Nayuh nodded and, now that she'd regained some of her confidence, slid in between Kuvira's legs. "Slow," Kuvira reminded her, as the head of it pushed against her. Nayuh nodded again and Kuvira took a deep breath.
A long, low moan forced its way out as Nayuh slowly pushed into her. It certainly had been a while but Kuvira hadn't forgotten how good it felt. So good that Nayuh's pace was almost too slow and, on instinct, Kuvira lifted her hips to take more inside.
Too much. She let out a small gasp as Nayuh was suddenly all the way inside her.
"I'm sorry! Are you okay? I swear I was trying to go slow, but you moved and–"
"I'm fine," Kuvira said, taking another deep breath and flashing Nayuh a small smile to try and reassure her. "More than fine. It's a good kind of hurt."
"If you say so," Nayuh replied, somewhat skeptically. "Can I…?
Kuvira nodded. "Just, not too fast yet." Nayuh obliged and gradually pulled out slightly then pushed in again, repeating the motion a few more times, trying to find a comfortable speed for them both.
Spirits, she's good at this. It wasn't as if everything else Nayuh did wasn't good...it was just different. And now that Nayuh was above her, slowly thrusting in and out...Kuvira knew she wasn't going to last very long.
So she decided to control the speed. Her hips rose to meet Nayuh on every thrust, slowly coaxing her into the pace Kuvira wanted. Nayuh didn't protest or try to take back control, and it didn't take her very long to find her confidence or a rhythm. Kuvira hooked her legs around Nayuh's back and eagerly lifted her head to kiss her.
Nayuh hungrily returned the kiss, adding the certain elements to it that she knew drove Kuvira crazy. It was intense and amazing and Kuvira was extremely glad she'd agreed to this, as awkward as it had initially seemed.
Her climax was rapidly building and Kuvira finally pulled her mouth away from Nayuh's to say, "Don't stop, I'm so close, don't stop."
Nayuh's only response was to speed up and drive as deep as she could. A few more thrusts and Kuvira tumbled right over the edge with a loud cry. It was more intense and satisfying than she imagined it would be and lasted for what felt like an eternity. Nayuh tried to keep the same rhythm she'd been using, but it was useless. Kuvira's hips were bucking too wildly as she rode out wave after wave of pleasure.
It was only after she started to calm down that she realized she was holding Nayuh in a death grip. She relaxed her hold as Nayuh slowed her pace to match Kuvira's, letting her ride out her aftershocks and pecking soft kisses along Kuvira's jawline. Eventually, Kuvira stopped moving and unwound her legs from behind Nayuh's back, letting them fall unceremoniously onto the bed.
Nayuh didn't pull out right away, choosing instead to trade gentle kisses with Kuvira. "Wow," Kuvira finally managed to get out, "that was…wow."
"Guess I'll take that as a compliment," Nayuh said, chuckling softly. She dipped her head for another kiss, then started to slowly pull out. Kuvira immediately reached around and gripped her backside, pulling Nayuh back down.
"Mmm, not yet," Kuvira said. "It still feels good."
Nayuh chuckled again. "Then I won't go anywhere until you tell me to."
They continued trading soft kisses until finally, it became too uncomfortable. "Alright," Kuvira said, "you can pull out. Just…slowly."
Nayuh nodded, then slowly pushed herself off of Kuvira, pulling out of her as she went. Once it was fully out, Nayuh took it off and tossed it to the side. Then she flopped down next to Kuvira, resting her head on her hand and trailing the other hand up and down Kuvira's stomach. Kuvira held her gaze, unable to keep the happy smile off her face.
"So…" Nayuh said, "...what did you think?"
Kuvira watched her for a moment, trying to put her thoughts into words. "I think…that you were right. That was a lot of fun."
"Wait, what was that?" Nayuh playfully asked, leaning closer to her. "Can I get that in writing?"
Kuvira laughed and rolled her eyes. "You heard me."
Nayuh laughed as well, then leaned forward and gave her a kiss. "So…I have to ask: how did that compare to the real thing?"
Kuvira couldn't blame her for being curious. Nayuh had told her fairly early on in their relationship that she'd only ever been with women. She shrugged. "It's obviously not the same, but you were very good, considering you'd never done that before. And," Kuvira added, smirking, "I don't have to worry about you getting me pregnant. So that's a nice bonus."
"That is very true," Nayuh replied with a chuckle. "So does this mean you want to keep it?"
"Sure, why not," Kuvira answered, grinning. "And maybe, one day, I can use it on you?"
Nayuh frowned. "I don't know…we'll see. You know I've never done that before."
"I know," Kuvira gently replied. She propped herself up and gave Nayuh a soft kiss. "You don't have to and I will never, ever pressure you to. I guess I just assumed that's why you mentioned wanting to try it to Asami."
Nayuh suddenly looked slightly embarrassed. "No…I had only thought about doing what we just did."
"Well, how was the real thing, compared to your imagination?"
Nayuh's lips pulled into a goofy smile. "So, so, so much better."
"Thought so," Kuvira said. She leaned over and kissed Nayuh again, gently forcing her onto her back. For a moment, she considered seeing if Nayuh was up for another round, but then Nayuh's stomach loudly growled and their kissing dissolved into laughter.
"I guess it's about that time," Nayuh said. "Between our sparring session and activities after…I'm starving."
"I am, too," Kuvira agreed. "But, maybe after we eat…" She trailed off and waggled her eyebrows suggestively.
"Maybe," Nayuh said, her tone slightly mischievous. "I wouldn't mind going back up to the deck once it's dark out. Maybe take a blanket and some wine up there…could be romantic."
"I like that idea," Kuvira said. "It's been a while since we've done anything romantic." She leaned over and gave Nayuh another kiss. "But first…shower. We, ah…got a little sweaty."
A little was an understatement–they were both covered in a fine sheen of sweat and Nayuh laughed. "Alright. Shower, then food, then wine, and stargazing. Then…"
"Then," Kuvira finished for her, "we just see where the night takes us."
