Finally, now was the time Archer thought sharpening an arrowhead with a toxic green ectoranium tip handling them carefully ectoranium was just as deadly to beings of the senzu river as it was for ghosts.
Time to regain the honor he'd lost when he was humiliated in battle by Fenton and his sidekick Foley.
Foley would be dealt with
The agent he'd hired would see to that.
While he would terminate Fenton
Then before any funeral plans could be made, he'd turn his bow on his father. Archer couldn't help but grin as he put his razor-sharp arrow on a table besides six others that matched.
One for Fenton, the rest for his 'family.'
But for now, his part of his father's operation would need to be carried out.
Beneath Archer's feet, the ground began to rumble and shake.
Archer grinned, gathering his arrows placing them in a secure quiver on his hip.
The hunt was on today was Danny Fentons last day, and Archer would entomb him beneath the remains of New York City.
Danny April Master Splinter and this worlds Danny walked through the sewer to the turtle's lair with Donatello's tech. They should be able to find any Nighlock activity.
Then once Danny had beat the third pillar, he'd finally be able to rescue Penny.
They were almost at the lair when the entire sewer tunnel suddenly began to shake. Danny placed a hand against the wall to support himself.
Danny wasn't a geologist, but he could tell this wasn't a natural earthquake.
The sewer water glowing red was a pretty good indicator of that.
April gripped her head, gritting her teeth. "April, what's wrong," Master Splinter asked.
"The guys they're in trouble," she said, "they're fighting some kind of monster."
"Where," the ninja master asked, his voice filled with parental worry.
April was still in pain, but Danny could tell she was trying to focus on "Roosevelt island" she was able to get out "they're on Roosevelt island in the sewers underneath the Queensboro bridge."
That had to be where the Nighlock was, and Danny didn't need to be a super genius like Jazz Luke or Tucker, but he didn't need to be to figure out that this earthquake was connected.
"We have to get there," Danny said. The turtles were his friends, and even though he didn't know this version of the pizza-loving ninjutsu practitioners, they were his friends, and they couldn't just stand by and do nothing.
"No, Danny, they are my sons. I will go to the bridge," Master Splinter ordered. "I feel like your enemy will be waiting somewhere else," he looked to April "take him to the lair find his enemy" he rushed off the Danny of this world, following after him.
"How are they going to get there," Danny asked as April pulled him toward the lair.
"They'll get there," she answered. Then, after a while at first, she looked back, a worried look on her face "you like him, don't you" he deduced, "you like your Danny."
April looked back "am I that obvious," she asked.
Danny shrugged "not really, and it's just the look on your face just now. I've seen it on my girlfriend's face plenty of times when I went off to fight ghosts," he said "is he seeing someone"
April shook her head "there was this girl from Brooklyn, but that's ancient history before we ever knew each other or the turtles."
Danny and April continued running to the lair around them. The ground continued to shake and quake "my advice, this kind of life is crazy. It's better to tell people how you feel before it's too late."
April didn't say anything as she led him to the nondescript-looking piece of the wall. It looked just like the rest of the sewer except for some graffiti in the corner written in Japanese.
'Why do I feel like there so Mikey would know where the door was' Danny thought. April tapped a brick revealing a retinal scanner. After a quick scan of April's eye, the wall slid open.
As they walked into the lair, Danny saw a flash of green.
Acting fast, he grabbed April, pulling her against the wall. Danny felt something cut his sleeve, and he hissed when he felt a searing pain on his arm before he heard something impact into the wall. Danny looked at his arm and saw a cut refusing to heal.
Terrific ectoranium, Danny thought, making a bandage out of ghost ice.
It'd have to do until he could get it treated
Danny looked to April "get behind me," he said, looking around "is that really the best you can do" he asked.
Another arrow flew at him. Danny made a small ice disc and threw it while the ghost ice shattered. However, it did divert the arrow so it wouldn't;t hit him or April.
Danny looked around, wondering where the arrow had come from "how'd you even know about this place."
"We did our research into you and your many Allies," the clone explained, "my Nighlock will destroy them and then level the city."
Another arrow flew at Danny from the side. This one landed in the ground and released a cloud of smoke. Danny coughed, looking around for the way out.
Danny heard something behind him, and he turned around. There was no sign of anyone.
Footsteps again Danny turned and again there was nothing.
Danny was getting tired of the horror movie cliche "really borrowing from Skulkers playbook," he asked as he kept stepping in a little circle "spoiler I always beat him"
Danny turned just in time to see a big brown cat pounce at him with its jaws wide open, tackling Danny to the ground, massive paws pinning him down.
Using his arms, Danny pried the cat's mouth open, keeping the sharp teeth far, far away from his neck.
The cat looked down at him victoriously with green eyes "neat trick being able to turn into a mountain Lion."
But Danny had neat tricks too. Turning to manipulate his chest, he made a hole where the big cat's paws were. Danny shot a green flash into the big cat's face blinding him. He slipped out, throwing a punch straight to the face sending the cat flying into a couch before Danny's eyes. The cat transformed into the clone.
He looked at Danny at the same time the earthquake stopped.
'Guess master splinter and other me were able to beat the Nighlock," he thought.
Before the clone could make a move to get up, April pounced on him, holding him in a chokehold "don't move," she hissed.
Even pinned, the clone still had that victorious look on his face "you might have beat me, but I still won hope you enjoy Foley's funeral," he mocked
Wait, what did he say.
"WHAT DID YOU DO" Danny demanded furiously, eyes glowing green rushing forward about to punch the smug clone in the neck
Before his fist could collide to wipe that smug look off the clone face, two things happened one he disappeared in a flash of red light, two behind Danny, the turtle's tv turned on, and a pair of hands grabbed him, pulling into a portal to who knows where
Danny groaned. Looking around, it looked like he was in Central Park.
"Ok good news, I'm still in New York," he said aloud "the bad news is I have no idea WHICH New York I'm in."
Danny went for his pockets about to pull out his compass so he could get out of whichever world this was and lock onto Penny, but his pockets were empty.
Now, this was terrific, Danny thought sarcastically. Not only was he stranded on who knows which alternate earth without a way back home and a kidnapped girlfriend.
But he had no idea if one of his oldest friends was even still alive.
