KABOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM
While Danny was fighting Archer on earth 20, an explosion shook the sky over Amity Park people looked up, seeing a plume of smoke high in the sky like a storm cloud flying out of the smoke was the Steel Spector.
AKA Tucker Foley
Though most people even in Amity Park didn't know
The person out of the smoke after Tucker was a girl in black samurai-like armor worn under a red bodysuit flying at him with her rocket boots. She threw a punch at his chest plate at the moment of impact, and she fired a laser cannon blasting him onto the roof of the nasty burger.
Tucker groaned, standing up looking down. There was a crack running down the chest plate 'note to self if I survive to reinforce armor' Tucker watched the mysterious armored girl hovering in the air.
The keyword is if
In Tucker's ear, his Fenton phone buzzed. "Tucker, are you all right," Henry asked, "you went to get that part from your house half an hour ago."
"I might be a little late," Tucker explained, "this girl in armor attacked me; I think she's on Vlads payroll."
"What," Henry said, "tell me where you are. I'll come back you up."
"No," Tucker said, "you and the others need to stay and guard Luke and Sticky while they're working. Who knows if this is some trick of Vlad."
Before Henry could protest, Tucker cut off the armored girl's line and flew down, landing on the ground.
Tucker sighed. "I don't suppose you're actually a nice guy, and you're under mind control."
The only answer Tucker got was the girl rushing at him, throwing three punches to his compromised chest plate followed by an uppercut to his faceplate. Before Tucker could even bring up his arms to block, forcing Tucker back, she then kicked him in the stomach, sending him toward the edge.
"I'd say it's nothing personal, and this was just business, but I'd be lying, Foley," she said, holding up her blaster "now prepare to die."
'She knows who I am,' Tucker thought, horrified before the lest of her sentence rattled around in her head.
"Wait," Tucker shouted, "before you waste me can I ask what I ever did to you," he asked while reaching for a hidden trigger in his bracer.
Tucker could see whoever it rolled her eyes because of her faceplate before she scowled at him "you stood me up," she answered about to fire as Tucker shot his arm up out of his bracer came a Jack O nine tails that wrapped around her legs Tucker pulled back knocking her back throwing off her shot.
The blast flew past his head, hitting the Nasty Burger signpost. The metal twisted and cracked the sign heading down towards the parking lot
And towards a family with two young kids
Tucker retracted the Jack o nine then leaped off the roof. Then, turning on the jet pack, he dove under the sign catching it using Jack o nine tails to hold onto the sign.
It wasn't easy. Tucker didn't have super strength, and he still hurt from the fights he's been in the night before and against the girl who claimed he stood her up.
But none of that mattered. People needed him. It was time to be a hero.
Just like Danny
Tucker slowly descended, maneuvering away from the parking lot and the astonished people who'd come out of the restaurant looking up at him, landing in the grass. He dropped the sign it dropped to the ground with a crash of neon and metal people began to cheer.
Tucker smiled beneath his helmet, so this is what it felt like to be the hero.
To really be the hero, unlike when he was 'Tucker Phantom.'
It felt like he was on top of the world.
A blast rang through, hitting Tucker in the chest knocking him down to one knee people gasped as his chest plate split, falling off his body. The assassin from before landed, throwing a punch knocking off his helmet.
Another punch to the face knocked him back against the wrecked sign. His glasses fell off his face. Everything around him was blurry.
"You almost had me there, Foley," she commented, "but then you blew it rescuing some snot nose brats," she said, "you're a loser just like Danny Fenton."
She spat the name out like it was poison.
Now Tucker knew who she was
"Cool teen Cree" Tucker said, "man, I really dodged a bullet not going out with you" Tucker grabbed onto the sign pulling himself up "frankly, I feel sorry for any guy who ever had to spend time. With a kid hitting CREEP like you."
If this were a cartoon, Cree's eyes would be glowing red with rage as she aimed Tucker "that talking Cougar can keep his cash. I'll do this job pro bono."
Before Cree could fire, a man stepped in between them "you want him, you'll have to go through me," he told her
A woman stepped beside the man, "and me."
"Me too," an old man said, stepping forward.
Before Tucker's eyes, more and more people stepped between him and Cree, all standing defiantly.
Tucker couldn't believe it when he saw Dash and the other A-Listers
Okay, Star and Kwan, he could get since they weren't as bad as their friends, but still, it was a shocker.
"Face it, lady, you want him. You'll have to go through all of us," Dash said, punching his palm.
Cree looked at the people for a minute before she shrugged. "I'm okay with that."
"I'm not," Tucker said; moving through the crowd, he looked back to them all. "I've got this"
Cree laughed "you've got this," she mocked, "please look at you. So you're a pathetic technogeek playing make-believe that you actually get to be the one in the spotlight for once in your miserable little life."
Cree continued to laugh at him "oh man, I haven't had such a good laugh in a while," she said, about to blast him when she was surprised when Tucker ran at her throwing a punch in the stomach. But, instead, Cree snarled at Tucker like the vain clone who hired her throwing a punch at his stomach.
Having expected her to do that, Tucker grabbed her arm and, turning on the balls of his feet, threw her over his shoulder. She landed on her back. Tucker then wrapped her in his jack o nine tails, one time binding her arms tight so she couldn't use her blasters again.
"You're right, Cree. I am a technogeek," Tucker told her, breathing heavily before kneeling looking her in the furious eye, "but I'm the technogeek who beat you."
"Without his glasses apparently," Tucker heard Henry say, turning to the sound of the voice "sorry I didn't get here sooner," he said, walking over to him and Cree, "someone doesn't know who had Moogers around the area keeping me away whose she"
"Guy I beat last night hired her to kill me," Tucker explained "he inherited his dad's ego."
Henry nodded. That made plenty of sense to Henry walking over to Cree Tucker heard the sound of handcuffs clicking into place "are you okay."
"Fine, my armor took most of the damage," and Tucker had no idea where his helmet went.
"Excuse me. Mister Steel Spector," Tucker heard a little boy say before he was handed his glasses which somehow were in good shape. Then, another boy who looked so much like the other Tucker could figure that they were brothers handed him his helmet "we won't tell anyone who you are."
Tucker saw everyone chiming in agreement, promising not to tell even the A-Listers
Tucker nodded "thank you," he said. He heard sirens buzz. He looked to Henry, who'd left Cree handcuffed to a light post. She was still scowling at Tucker, silently promising revenge, but Tucker ignored her, turning to look at his friend "can you give me a lift" he asked.
Henry nodded, grabbing Tucker under his arms. They flew off towards Fenton Works.
Once he got there, Mrs. Fenton and Mrs. Proud, who came with the rest of the Prouds when she heard her daughter was kidnapped, were shocked at the state he was in
Jazz went to get the first aid kid while Sam muttered dark threats about what she'd do to Cree if she ever met her.
Tucker handed the part he went to get to Luke, who headed down to the basement.
Tucker would have gone down to join Sticky and Mr. Fenton, but he was ordered to sit down by the moms in the room. Tucker did sitting down by Suga Mama, who was looking down at her feet, not paying attention to what was on TV.
Curiously Tucker looked to see a news bulletin was talking about his fight at the Nasty Burger with Cree being taken into police custody.
"What could have been a tragic day for everyone here at the Nasty Burger was prevented thanks to the brave actions of one of Amity Parks heroes, the Steel Spector," Lance Thunder said for once, not complaining about reporting something that wasn't the weather.
"He saved my family," a man said into a microphone. "I'll never be able to repay him for that."
"I want to be just like the Steel Spector when I grow up," a kid said excitedly.
"From the Nasty Burger, I'm Lance Thunder back to you, Brenda."
Tucker honestly couldn't believe that people saw him as a hero that a kid wanted to be just like him when he grew up.
"You did good work, Tucker," Suga Mama said, patting him on the shoulder.
"I don't really feel like a hero, though," Tucker said. "I was just doing what I felt was right."
Suga Mama smiled at him, probably the only time she's smiled since what happened to Penny "that's why you're a hero, not cause of your armor but cause you're the one wearing it."
Tucker thought about it, and he nodded "thank you, Suga Mama."
"My pleasure"
Down in the Fentons lab, Mr. Fenton Luke and Sticky were working together on something to help Danny.
Tucker had been down here earlier until he'd gone out to get a part to complete the project.
"Ok," Sticky said, typing rapidly on a keyboard, "I've installed the Booomerangs tracking software, and thankfully, it's still locked on to Danny's genetic signature."
"And with the part, Tucker brought Uncle Jack, and I were able to complete the alteration to the Fenton portal bazooka into a multiversal portal generator," Luke said as Jack aimed said bazooka at Dannys phantom Morpher
"Are we sure Danny's going to need this" Sticky asked? "I mean Danny beat that peanut clone of Penny that was as strong as the Black Marvel, and that guy was as tough as Captain America."
"Based on the proportionate strength of the third generation of clones gives evidence to my hypothesis that Vlad himself would be much stronger or they'd turn on him."
"So yes, Sticky," Jack said, "we believe in Danny, but the Morpher can give him an edge, so we're making sure Danny can get it," he said, aiming. The bazooka hummed the barrel, filling with a blue light "get clear, boys."
Jack pulled the trigger and fired at the Morpher. A small blue portal opened the Morpher dropped down into it.
"Good luck, cousin," Luke said.
Knowing Vlad, he was going to need it.
