Kamen Rider Mythos

Myth 5: Searching for the Hero

An arcade, a sunny Saturday afternoon…..

Hikaru sighed as he sat in the corner booth of an arcade, struggling to read a text message from Mizuki. He didn't like the loud noises and he certainly didn't like all the people around him in his personal space.

Not like it was his choice, though; his older brother had volunteered to take a group of kids from the orphanage that he offered his time at to the arcade and had dragged Hikaru along, saying he couldn't just sit inside and do homework all weekend. Hikaru found quickly that he really couldn't say no to his older brother.

Taiga was determined to give Hikaru a social life which he didn't want; he already had a social life of sorts. If one counted going to school, hanging out with his best and only friend, and being a superhero fighting evil as a social life, that is.

Besides him Apollo and Ares were looking at the arcade in interest. Apollo turned to Hiakru.

"So this is how your generation has fun?" the golden god confusingly mused. "...I don't get it." Ares nodded in affirmation.

"Where's the blood?" the war god fumed. "Where's the dismemberment?! Where's the 'going up to the mountains in the dead of winter and fighting to survive' camping trips?!"

"Hikaru, it's mostly kids here!" Apollo groaned loudly. "I can't look at kids, I want people your age preferably ones with bi-" He was cut off, as Taiga was making his way towards the table.

The two gods were usually silent when Taiga was around, as they were convinced he could hear them, and Hikaru didn't want his brother thinking he was hearing voices in his head. Taiga sat down at the booth, seemingly annoyed. Hikaru looked at his brother in concern.

"Not having fun playing games?" Hikaru asked. Taiga shook his head.

"Well, I was having fun," his brother sighed, "but a tweet I posted about what we were doing keeps getting harassed by trolls."

Hikaru frowned. "What are they saying?"

"They keep repeating what that reporter said," Taiga slumpedly said, "that I only do charity work and stuff just for the attention." It took a few seconds, but Hikaru smiled at his brother.

"Does it really matter? You're doing good work and a lot of these kids seem pretty happy today." Taiga nodded.

"I know, and I legitimately want to help these kids," he said, seemingly shrugging off Hikaru's concern, "but I just wish I'd stop getting hassled over it." Hikaru shrugged right back and took a sip of his soda that was on the table.

"Not everyone is gonna like you, Taiga. Just ignore them and keep doing what you're doing." A pause before Hikaru spoke again, adding in a bump to his brother's side in jest. "Maybe you should take a page from my book for once." Taiga laughed slightly and bumped right back.

"...I just wish it didn't start."

Before Hikaru could respond, Apollo glowed and whispered to him.

"Hikaru!" The god seemed to have an urgent tone. "We have got a problem. A titan-sized problem." Hikaru began to think of a way to sneak out but, thankfully, some kids ran up to Taiga, asking for more tokens. Hikaru, taking the opportunity, slid out of the booth and made for the exit, never having been so happy to hear about the titans of Pragmonas attacking the city. It was able to get him out of the arcade, but his worries for his brother remained.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Mythos finished the Tartarians in Apollo Frame and stretched, happy to have the battle be over. It had been only a small group of mooks, so they were dispatched without much effort. Had Apollo lied to possibly get him out of the arcade? Couldn't be said, but Hikaru also didn't care too much. Before Hikaru could even think about what he would do with the rest of his day, he froze and looked around.

"Uh, Apollo? What, uh... what do we do about this?" All around the previous battlefield a crowd had gathered. Some were taking pictures and others were simply looking on at him. Apollo laughed in Hikaru's head.

"Well, you've been at this for a little bit." the sun god explained, "so you were bound to draw a crowd eventually." Hikaru grit his teeth, not liking the attention. He was sure Apollo knew this.

"Okay, so what do I do? I can't exactly reveal myself." Apollo laughed at him again. "So? Why not just enjoy the fame as Mythos?" Hikaru cursed silently; maybe Apollo was just a liar and didn't really know.

"Because," Hikaru hissed in retaliation, "I don't like the attention and someone could get hurt if I encourage fighting." Suddenly, Ares spoke up.

"You should give a quick comment," the war god offered. "It could help saying who you are since it could get some faith and trust in us." Hikaru breathed both a deep breath of preparation, but also a sigh of relief. For once, Ares was ]a voice of reason.

A reporter began to approach Hikaru, and he got himself into the mindset to answer whatever she asked. The reporter, unsurprisingly, was happy to shove a microphone in his face, "Excuse me, but the whole of Japan seems to be wondering… Who are you? Are you here to help us or harm us?"

Hikaru cleared his throat and put on a deeper voice in order to attempt disguising himself.

"I'm Kamen Rider Mythos, the rider who uses the power of the Greek Gods."

The reporter nodded, but it seemed more confused than accepting. "Kamen… Rider? Greek Gods? Who exactly are you fighting?" Hikaru shook his head.

"Unfortunately, I can't share that, in fear someone may try to help me in my fight. All I can say is that if people do wish to aid me, then they should put faith in the Greek Gods, as that will make me stronger." As the reporter turned to her camera, still visibly confused on what he was talking about, Mythos ran to his Machine Chariot and got on, riding away and, more importantly, fleeing from his newfound fans.

Hikaru had gotten back and had collapsed onto the couch in the living room, he needed to be more careful now that he had people watching him. The last thing he needed was someone getting hurt because of him or figuring out who he was. He still didn't agree with Apollo and Ares that talking to them was a good idea, they looked more confused than anything. As he tried to relax, the door was practically kicked in and Taiga came running inside out of breath. Hikaru sat up, "Woah, Taiga! Where's the fire?" Taiga caught his breath for a second and pointed at his phone, "Hikaru, did you see the news?!"

Hikaru shook his head, "No, you know the news gives me anxiety." Taiga quickly pulled something up on his phone and he knew immediately what his brother was talking about, "Well look at this, there's a rider in the city, a freaking Kamen Rider man!" Hikaru simply nodded, "Huh, I guess they aren't just an urban legend." Taiga smiled and nodded, "Look, now that I know about the rider, I gotta meet him!" Hikaru frowned at his brother, "Uh, didn't he say in that clip not to try and meet him?" Taiga shrugged, "Well yeah, but I still want to meet him, maybe he can give me some advice about being a hero like him."

Hikaru shook his head, 'Taiga, I really don't think it's a good idea." Taiga waved his brother off, "Look it'll be fine, besides I'm sure I could help him out a lot, we can even be partners." Hikaru, knowing full well that wasn't gonna happen, could only sigh, "Taiga, I really think you should just stay out of it. Please." His warning went on deaf ears though as his brother was already out the door, "Just you watch Hikaru! I'll find him and I'll totally help him out!" As he went out the door Hikaru groaned and flopped down onto his couch, operating as Mythos was gonna be a lot harder with his own brother looking for him.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

A few days later, Hikaru's school at lunchtime…..

It had been a couple of days since he had gotten his 5 minutes of fame and Hikaru had been practically sneaking out of the house and not getting any sleep. Why? Because he was so worried about Taiga finding out about him that he felt he needed to sneak around and the thought of his big brother getting hurt because of him kept him up at night. He was so tired, he was falling face first into the lunch Mizuki had brought for him, resulting in her pulling his head from it and putting it to the side as he groaned out a "Thank you" Mizuki glared at Apollo who was simply minding his own business next to their table, "Oi stupid god, can't you do something about Taiga?" Apollo glared at her, "Even if I had my full powers I couldn't, memory manipulation isn't part of my power set."

Mizuki rolled her eyes, "Ok, well... What about the warfreak?" Apollo laughed, "He's the god of war, his solution would be to kill him." Mizuki frowned and pounded a fist onto the table waking Hikaru up, "Alright then, I guess there's one solution left, just tell Taiga the truth." Hikaru yawned, "Mizuki, you know I can't do that." Mizuki glared at him, "And why not Hikaru? It'd certainly be easier for you than getting tired out and making yourself in bad shape if any monsters show up." Hikaru just shook his head, "You and I both know that if Taiga knew about me being Mythos, he'd go all big brother mode and get involved trying to protect me. He could end up getting hurt or killed."

Apollo nodded in agreement, "Plus, let's be honest here, that brother of yours is a hottie, but he definitely lacks in the brains department. He probably wouldn't understand what's going on." Mizuki wanted to answer but couldn't really deny the truth of the statement, "Oh come on, just have a little faith in him, he was taught Greek Mythology by your dad just like you were, I'm sure he'd get the jist of it." Hikaru took a bite of his lunch and frowned, "That still doesn't change the fact that he'd try and get involved and I can't have that, then I'd have to protect him constantly and I can't do that forever."

Mizuki shook her head in confusion, "I'm sure he'd be more than understanding of your situation and know he can't help you in battles." Hikaru sighed quietly, "I can't risk it Mizuki. I'd rather keep the secret than risk him getting hurt. It's safer that way." With that, he went back to eating his lunch signaling the end of the conversation. Mizuki rolled her eyes and grumbled, "I will never understand boys and their machoness sometimes." She then went back to eating her lunch, not wishing to stress Hikaru out anymore than he already was.

Mount Olympus, inside the temple of Zeus…..

Krios walked into the former temple of Zeus, seemingly whistling to himself and smiling as he walked in. Unfortunately for him only Prometheus sat in the temple drinking a glass of ambrosia. He raised his glass to Krios as a greeting, "Where have you been Krios and what's got you so happy?" Krios smiled, "Where's the queen? I have something to show her!" Prometheus shrugged, "She went off for some relaxation, after I convinced her she was worrying too much about Master Kronus, so unfortunately you'll have to show me whatever it is you have there." Krios walked up to the table they used to command their troops and placed something on it, "It doesn't matter who sees it as she will reward me later, tell me what do you think this is?"

Prometheus got up and moved himself towards the table, looking at the object he placed on it. He held it up and frowned, "It looks like one of those orbs we placed the Olympians in, but it's shaped like a star." Krios nodded excitedly, "Correct, it's because it is one of those orbs but an Olympian isn't in it." Prometheus signed and handed him the orb, "Ok then what is in it?" Krios smiled at him, "Well you know how occasionally the Olympians had kids with mortals and those DemiGods go on to become famous heroes still talked about today by mortals?" Prometheus smiled, starting to get the idea, "So it's one of those DemiGods inside the orb?" Krios nodded as he began to look at their troops, "Yes, and my plan is to infuse one of our soldiers with the hero to make them unstoppable." Prometheus nodded, "Ok, so which one is in the orb?"

Krios shrugged, "Does it matter? The hero will make any of our soldiers invincible." Prometheus suddenly had another thought, "Wait! What if we use this to our advantage, but have a backup plan just in case Mythos somehow defeats it." Krios looked at him seemingly offended at the thought of his plan failing, "Oh and what is this backup plan?" Prometheus began to look at another soldier of theirs, "Well what if we have a secondary monster ready, to capture a tired Mythos whether he wins or loses and we can use him to power a soldier as well." Krios smiled and slapped Prometheus on his back, "Oh brother, I like the way you think." The two continued to find the perfect soldier's in hopes for their plans to succeed.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Back on earth, Hikaru was trying to take a nap on the couch after helping his mother in the flower shop. Unfortunately that was proving difficult as Taiga had once again burst in and was now telling him all the information he had gathered up about himself, "Now, apparently he has two different forms, one all gold and shiny and the other dark blue and fiery and his bike looks like a chariot, and he never really sticks around to talk to anyone, which is crazy cause why wouldn't he want to have people know about him." Hikaru interrupted his brother's long rant, "Maybe he doesn't want anyone to know about him because he has friends and family he wants to protect." Hikaru had to hand it to Taiga, he'd never taken so much interest in something that didn't directly affect him before and he loved seeing the passion, just why did it have to be him that he was interested in, or at the very least, his alter ego.

Hikaru looked at Taiga. "If his enemies knew who he was, they could end up targeting his friends and family, or use them against him." Taiga just laughed at his comment, "Oh come on Hikaru, a guy as strong as Mythos could protect people everywhere, so it shouldn't matter!" Hikaru sighed heavily as sat up from his position on the couch, and tried his best to speak calmly to his brother, "Taiga, look... I get that you're so passionate about helping Mythos out, but did you ever think he'd appreciate it if you didn't do anything stupid and get involved. Besides, that's what he said on the news, he didn't want anyone involved and that includes you." Taiga looked angrily at him, "You know what Hikaru? I'm tired of listening to you telling me to stop! I just want to help people in any way I can, but now I can see that you just think I'm an attention seeker, looking for nothing but fame and glory!" Hikaru could only shake his head, "What? No Taiga, that's not what I think at all! I just don't want you getting hurt, Mythos himself said this was dangerous."

Taiga got up and continued to stare coldly at him, "maybe it's true, by helping Mythos I would get a lot of attention, but that's not why I want to do this. Just for once I want to be more than just the model, the good looking one and Mr. Popular. I want to do something heroic for once, like in the books Dad used to read to us, and my gut is telling me that helping Mythos is the best chance I have." Hikaru frowned, not wanting to fight with his older brother, "Taiga, you're more than just a model." Taiga scoffed at his younger brother, "Like you actually care, Hikaru! I'm tired of you always judging me, I'm out of here. I'm going to make a difference!" He stormed out of the room and Hikaru could hear the sound of the door opening and slamming, wincing at the sound.

Apollo appeared from his orb and sighed, "Man, I never would've guessed he was more than a pretty face, I guess there is more to him than good looks." Ares appeared next to his brother and laughed, "Now that sounds like someone I know, ain't that right Apollo?" The blonde haired God shrugged, "Who knows, all I know is you probably shouldn't worry about it for now. I doubt your brother would do anything crazy." Hikaru frowned, "Maybe I should just tell him, it'd be better than having to fight with him and trying to get him to understand."

Ares suddenly felt fire in his eyes and turned to Hikaru, "There's no time for that kid! We gotta go fight so get that off your mind." Hikaru sighed and got up, "A hero's work is never done, I guess." With that he ran out the door flanked by the two Gods.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

As he arrived on the Machine Chariot, Hikaru spotted the monster that seemed to be a Satyr with metal arms, "Is that a Satyr? I thought they were usually good creatures?" Apollo shrugged, "Well, you know there's always a bad apple in the bunch, just be happy it doesn't have an erection!" Ares appeared and groaned at his brother's comment, "Apollo, can you at least try to be serious in battle?" The monster turned to Hikaru and screamed at him, "AH, so you are Mythos I take it? I am Satyde and I will spell your doom."

The metal on his arms formed into blades as he got into a battle stance. Ares looked at him excited at the prospect of the sword fight, "Better use me, kid, I'm always ready to clash swords." Hikaru nodded and took out the Pantheon Driver and placed it around his waist as it sprang to life, "PANTHEON DRIVER" He held up the Ares orb, "Ares, lend me your power!" Ares became solid behind him punching his fist, "Alright I'm ready for a fight!" Hikaru scanned the orb, "ARES ORB" The driver began its all too familiar chant.

"What's beyond the chains?! Break freeeee!"

"What's beyond the chains?! Break freeeee!"

Hikaru made a fighting stance and punched the air twice as Ares repeated his actions. Hikaru then pressed the button on the driver, "HENSHIN" The undersuit enveloped him in a blue fire as a war chariot came out and crashed into him.

"Fight Hard! Defend your glory! (The War God!) Ares Frameeeee! Yeah!"

Mythos fully clad in Ares Frame came running out of the fire and charged at Satyde drawing his weapons, "ARES KAIGUNTOU" He locked swords with Satyde and the two began to exchange blows, the clashing of metal being heard by all near the area as the two began to get faster in their sword swings. Ares scoffed in his head, "This guy ain't too shabby, so let's turn up the heat!" The swords in Mythos's hands caught fire as he continued to duel with the Satyr neither seeming to tire out as they were locked in a stalemate. Satyde went for a slash at the chest as Mythos jumped backwards to dodge it.

Deciding to attack from a distance Mythos began to swing his swords at the Satyr, tendrils of fire holding onto them as the attacks got wilder and more intense. Satyde didn't seem to care as he simply stood and took it, "Is that the best you got, Mythos?" Mythos took out the orb and slotted it into the swords, "No, but how about this?!" The swords began to heat up as the driver announced, "ARES FAVOR: KAIGUNTOU" He slashed at Satyde several times before running at him and send one final slash at his chest, causing an explosion. Mythos began to breathe hard as he leaned on one of his swords, "That should do it."

However, the smoke began to clear, showing Satyde without a single scratch causing Mythos to be astonished, "What?! How? I threw everything at you!" Satyde began to laugh, "Fool! You're as powerless as I am invincible." Mythos began to sweat, "Uh, Ares? Any ideas?" Apollo appeared behind him, "Hikaru, switch to me, let's try some ranged tactics." Hikaru nodded and took out the Apollo orb and scanned it, "APOLLO ORB" He wasted no time as he it began to chant and he pushed the button yelling, "SHINE OVER"

"Ride on! Power of the sun! (The golden god!) Apollo Frameeeee! Yeah!"

The chariot appeared and crashed into Mythos leaving Apollo Frame to be formed and he quickly pulled out his bow, "APOLLO KANEYUMI" He began to fire the golden arrows at Satyde who simply stood there and took it, even yawning at one point seemingly not feeling it. Mythos placed the orb in the bow causing it to announce "APOLLO FAVOR: KANEYUMI" Charging the giant arrow, Mythos fired it hoping it would do something but once again the smoke cleared and revealed Satyde was undamaged. Mythos grit his teeth growing annoyed, "Man, this guy's tough! How do we hurt him?." Apollo groaned in his head, "No clue, but we should retreat for now."

Ares practically growled at him, "What? Are you crazy Apollo?" He could feel Apollo nodding, "Look, we aren't doing any damage and you were in Hikaru's head too, he's not in the right mindset right now!" Hikaru began to protest, "I'm fine Apollo, let's keep attacking." Ares sighed, "No... Apollo is right for once, your head isn't in the fight because your heart is troubled by that argument with your idiot of an older brother." As the three continued to figure out their options Satyde began to approach Mythos, "You will not escape my wrath, Mythos."

Apollo cursed in Greek, "Hikaru! Put all of your focus on light! Any kind of light!." Hikaru did as he was told and suddenly glowed brightly, blinding the monster. When Satyde regained his sight he found Mythos had disappeared causing him to scream, "Curse you, Mythos! I will find you. It doesn't matter how long it will take, your doom is inevitable!"

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Hikaru breathed in heavily as he finally arrived at his destination, he had gotten on his bike and had only thought of it. He was lucky to have escaped Satyde and was now focusing on Apollo and Ares's suggestions, settling things with Taiga. Thankfully he didn't have to search long, he knew where Taiga went when he was mad. He walked up and knocked on the door of the orphanage and waited for a few minutes as a young boy opened the door. Hikaru smiled at him, "Hello, is Taiga here?" The boy nodded, "You went to the arcade with us the other day." Hikaru nodded, "Yup, I'm Taiga's little brother and I really need to talk to him." The boy nodded and began to lead Hikaru to the backyard where Taiga was busy being chased by a bunch of the younger orphans. Seeing him Taiga stopped running, "Alright, kids! Big Bro Taiga has a visitor, so you go play inside and I'll be there in a minute."

The kids nodded and walked inside and Taiga began to stare at Hikaru who frowned, "Taiga, listen I'm…." His brother interrupted him, "No, you listen, I'm sorry for blowing up at you, you're my brother, and you were just trying to look out for me, just like I would for you." Hikaru smiled slightly at his brother, "It still didn't give me the right to try and dissuade you, when you were being honest about your intentions." Taiga came and sat down on the stairs signaling him to sit next to him, "Look, I can't lie and say wanting to help Mythos is 100% me wanting to do good, I just saw him being a hero and he inspired me and I've been pissed at people dragging me so I thought if I teamed up with the latest sensation to be a hero, they'd back off." Hikaru nodded in understanding at his brother, "Taiga it shouldn't matter what those people say about you, because you aren't just the pretty boy trying to be in the spotlight."

Taiga frowned, "Then what am I, Hikaru? Because it's how I feel." Hikaru put a hand on his brother's shoulder, smiling, "You're the best big brother I could ever ask for, and that these kids could ask for. You're smart when you want to be, and you're always determined, and so friendly and charismatic. But most importantly you're someone who's always had confidence in himself and never cared what people said about them, so I don't know why you care now." Taiga nodded, "You know what, Hikaru? You're right. I need to stop caring about what they say, the people who matter know who I am anyway." Hikaru smiled at his brother, "And you know what else Taiga? You have a big heart, and I appreciate that you want to help Mythos, because even if you can't I'm sure he appreciates that you have a desire to do so."

Taiga smiled, "Thanks, Hikaru. Man, it's so different having the little brother cheer up the big brother." The two brother's sat in silent appreciation of each other, Hikaru couldn't tell Taiga yet about his secret, but he would, one day. The mood was ruined though as the sound of screaming children came from the front of the orphanage and the faint sound of metal dragging on the ground. The two brother's looked at each other and nodded, running to see what was going on.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

The two arrived outside and Hikaru gasped in shock, Satyde had followed him to the orphanage. Taiga immediately started to run towards some of the orphans, telling them to get inside as the monster approached them. Satyde charged at Taiga swinging his swords at him, thankfully he was pushed out of the way by Hikaru who turned to his brother, "Taiga, get them inside and keep them safe!" Taiga shook his head, "And leave you alone with that thing? No way!" Hikaru frowned, "Fine, this isn't how I wanted this to happen, but I've got no choice!"

Taiga looked at him confused, "What are you talking about?!" Hikaru said nothing as he removed the driver and placed it on his waist, "PANTHEON DRIVER" He held up a golden orb and called out to a name Taiga recognized well, "Apollo, lend me your power!" What seemed to be a man with golden blonde hair appeared behind him and yelled out, "Alright let's go partner" Hikaru then scanned the orb, "APOLLO ORB" He began to hear what seemed to be a chorus of chants.

"What's beyond the chains?! Break freeeee!"

"What's beyond the chains?! Break freeeee!"

Hikaru put his hands together in what seemed to be a prayer as the figure that he guessed was this Apollo mimicked. Hikaru then pushed the button as he yelled out "HENSHIN"

"Ride on! Power of the sun! (The golden god!) Apollo Frameeeee! Yeah!"

A golden chariot appeared from the belt and flew around before crashing into Hikaru forming a familiar armor on him. Taiga's eyes widened, "Hikaru... Y-you, you're Mythos?!" Hikaru, or more appropriately, Mythos turned around and nodded, his voice seemed a bit deeper in this form, "This isn't how I wanted you to find out." Taiga suddenly had a realization, now it all made sense why Hikaru was trying so hard to dissuade him from pursuing this, because he was Mythos. Taiga, still awestruck, managed to stammer out, "Is this why you kept trying to stop me?" Hikaru nodded, "I was just trying to protect you from getting involved, and I'm sorry for lying." Taiga shook his head, "Are you crazy? I get it now, I totally understand."

Satyde growled, "As sweet as this family moment is, I'm still here Mythos." Taiga smiled at his brother, "Go kick his ass Hikaru! Teach him not to mess with a Kinami." Mythos nodded and charged at Satyde, doing everything in his power to try and hurt him. Unfortunately nothing seemed to be working as every attack did nothing but make him laugh. Sayde's swords glowed dark green, "You keep attacking, so allow me to return the favor." He slashed at Mythos causing him to be pushed back and knocked to the ground. Mythos struggled to get up as Taiga called out to him, "Come on, Hikaru! That can be all you got! I know you're stronger than that thing!."

Mythos scanned the orb and summoned his bow, "Come on Apollo, let's not disappoint Taiga." He began to fire arrow after arrow into his opponent, not letting up in an effort to keep him contained. If he couldn't hurt him directly, then he could at least slow him down. After many attacks, however, a single arrow found its way into his shoulder, causing the monster pain. Apollo practically yelped in excitement, "You see that Hikaru? We hurt him!" Hikaru nodded, "Yeah, but that won't do us much." Apollo sighed in his head, "You're right, and I really didn't want to have to do this, but we don't have much of a choice." Hikaru frowned, "Apollo, what are you talking about?" Apollo started to explain, "There's an attack even stronger than a favor, but it requires pretty much all of our power. It's gonna leave you pretty weak, and I won't be able to merge with you for about a week, so no Mythos for a little while."

Hikaru didn't care about the risks, "Well, we don't have much of a choice, let's do it." Apollo groaned, "Fine, but remember this is absolutely a last resort, scan my orb three times, and then place it in the bow." Mythos nodded and did as he was told and as he placed it in the bow he felt a surge of energy as the driver announced, "APOLLO TRIBUTE: GOLDEN REQUIEM" Mythos began to glow golden as his bow became bigger and at the speed of light began to fire arrows at Satyde, practically creating a tornado of golden arrows as he charged up one final shot and shot it into the sky. The sun became blocked by golden arrows that began to rain down on Satyde, harming him as he began to scream in pain. Adding in one final measure, Mythos glowed pure gold as he ran forward and with a roundhouse kick hit Satyde in the shoulder. Mythos hit the ground behind and Satyde was enveloped in a golden explosion, guaranteeing that he was finished.

Mythos turned around happy to see his enemy was finished, walking up he found a star shaped orb on the ground and picked it up. Mythos examined it, "Hey Apollo. It looks like an orb, but it's a different shape." He didn't get a response from his partner though, as the effects of the Golden Requiem suddenly hit him, and Hikaru lost his transformation, feeling exhausted as he began to collapse. Thankfully, he was caught by Taiga who smiled, "Hikaru, that was so cool!" Hikaru laughed at his brother's comment, "Well, don't expect a finisher like that all the time." The two brothers laughed as Hikaru rested on Taiga's shoulders. Their moment wouldn't last however as what seemed to be a three headed dog monster landed with a thud in front of them.

Taiga frowned, "Hikaru! It's another one!" Hikaru tried to stand, but couldn't as he nearly collapsed again without his brother's support. The monster growled as its eyes glowed red and a red vortex came out of his chest, trying to suck them both in. Hikaru, thinking fast, slipped the star shaped orb to his brother's hand and shoved him out of the way. Taiga could only watch in horror, as Hikaru was seemingly sucked into the monster from the vortex. The monster growled in happiness as it leapt away, not caring about Taiga. Taiga was left in horror as he began to call his brother's name, "HIKARU, HIKARU!" He fell to his knees as he looked at the orb his brother had left him. He clenched his fist as he yelled into the sky, "HIKARU!" Taiga felt tears form in his eyes, his brother was gone and he could do nothing about it.
