Chapter 7
"Hedwig," Harry snapped his fingers, recalling the name from the history book he borrowed from Hermione.
'It is a good name.'
Hedwig nuzzled his hair affectionately.
"I like it," Hermione said, following Harry up the stairs to the second floor of the Leaky Cauldron.
Tonks opened the door to the private room halfway down the hallway. An older man and woman sat at a table, but they stood up when the group entered the room.
"Let's get the introductions out of the way," Tonks said.
"Everyone, this is my Mum and Dad."
"Also known as Andromeda Tonks," The woman said dryly. Andromeda was a beautiful woman with aristocratic and symmetrical features and elaborate sleek black hair flowing past her shoulders. She had an incredible bearing, but her warm smile softened her features considerably.
Harry could see the resemblance to Tonks, although her Daughters face was more heart-shaped.
"I'm Ted Tonks," the shorter, rounder man cheerfully said. The man reminded Harry of Tonks with the same sunny personality, but compared to his wife, he lacked presence.
"Right," Tonks dismissed the gaffe with a wave of her hand. "This is Harry Potter, his friend Hermione, and her parents, Darius and Jane Granger."
"It's nice to meet you," Andromeda said warmly, first greeting the Grangers and shaking their hands, and hid a smile when Hermione stepped forward with her hand outstretched as well.
She turned her attention to Harry and enfolded him in a hug. Harry stiffened, trying to retreat from the embrace, unbalancing Hedwig from his shoulder. His snowy owl hooted and took flight, landing on the window sill with an annoyed look.
'Sorry, Hedwig.'
Andromeda let him go with a frown but didn't comment on the reaction. "Let's all sit down and get to know each other. Lunch will be here soon. Help yourselves to some drinks."
'Do you want to be let out?' Harry asked Hedwig.
'Yes. I wish to go hunting.'
Harry opened the window. Hedwig nipped him on the fingers affectionately before spreading her wings and taking flight.
Harry chose the chair closest to the window and sat down. On the table were several different types of beverages. Tea, water, orange juice, a golden liquid with foam spilling from the top, and an orange-yellowish drink were all present.
"What is that drink?" Harry pointed to the unfamiliar beverage with a yellow hue.
"Pumpkin Juice," Tonks said, serving herself a glass from the jug and taking a sip.
Harry wrinkled his nose in disgust. It didn't sound very appetising.
"What about the golden drink?" Hermione asked.
"It's Butterbeer," Ted said, pouring himself a full tankard of the foaming liquid.
"It's alcohol?" Jane asked dubiously.
"It only has a slight alcoholic content," Andromeda explained. "Even if the kids consumed a dozen tankards, they would only feel a slight buzz."
Neither of the kids could resist trying the Butterbeer. It looked appetising. A sigh of satisfaction escaped Harry's lips as he sipped from the glass. It was a little sweet, but it was delicious nonetheless.
"It's too sweet," Hermione complained, switching to water. Following her example, her parents choose the water as well. With them being dentists, it wasn't surprising.
" Well, I'm glad to have met you finally, Harry," Andromeda said. "I've been looking forward to meeting you for a long time."
In response, Harry lowered his glass. " You have me at a disadvantage. I know we are distantly related, but nothing else. Were you close to my parents?"
I'll explain the family connection first," Andromeda said. "As a member of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black, a blood purist family, I was disowned when I refused to sign a marriage contract with another pureblood and eloped with Ted. In their view, he is a muggleborn, which is the ultimate disgrace. From that day on, I have been a Tonks."
"Do marriage contracts still exist in the magical world?" Hermione squinted her eyes.
Andromeda elaborated, "Nowadays, it's primarily used as a pre-nuptial agreement to protect a family's interests if they divorce. But make no mistake, the wizarding world is behind the non-magical world by a few centuries in technological and sociological development."
"Getting back to your family," Andromeda said, facing Harry. "Your grandmother was black on your father's side. It was Dorea who, like me, didn't share the family's ideals. She married your grandfather, Charles Potter, who was on opposite sides of the political spectrum, which caused the Blacks to be angry about the marriage. Even though they leaned more towards the Greys before Charles died, the Potters are part of the Light faction, and the Blacks are part of the Dark faction."
"Dark faction? Light faction? Isn't that a little…." Jane paused.
"Silly?" Andromeda chuckled. "Well, the factions don't exist on the surface, but everyone knows they exist in the background. Even though Arcturus didn't share your grandfather's ideology, Arcturus approved of Charlus during their marriage. Moreover, he loved his sister and would do anything for her. The Blacks came around to the idea, primarily because Charles was a pureblood from a powerful and wealthy family."
"Did the Blacks follow Voldemort?" Harry wondered, both intrigued and disgusted by the family history.
After sipping her tea, Andromeda sighed. "Two-thirds of them probably followed Voldemort's rhetoric. Arcturus Black, the family patriarch, opposed Voldemort because he did not like the idea of him being under the control of an upstart Dark Lord. While he believed in pureblood supremacy, he condoned violence against anyone with magical blood."
"Unfortunately, one of my sisters is a Death Eater." Andromeda said, "She is one of the Dark Lord's most devout followers. My youngest sister, Narcissa, married Lucius Malfoy, but I don't know if she became a Death Eater."
"Lucy?" Harry chuckled as he remembered the encounter.
Seeing Andromeda's confusion, Tonks repeated Harry's confrontation with Lucius Malfoy.
In contrast to Ted and Darius, the females looked disgusted at him.
"That foul language you use is unacceptable to me," Andromeda stated as if that was the end of the matter.
"I have had a colourful upbringing," Harry said blandly. A lesser man would have been intimidated by the woman's glares, but it rolled off his back. He understood he had a rebellious streak, but it was well-founded. For him to show respect to adults, they had to prove that they deserved it first.
Ted grabbed Andromeda's arm and shook his head when she seemed to want to question him further.
"Well, it doesn't seem like I want to be associated with the Black family," Harry said. "You seem nice enough, but you have already been kicked out of the family."
Uneasy glances were exchanged between the Tonks, but before they could say anything, the door opened, and Tom floated a long series of plates into the room.
He looked curiously at the group but held off on asking any questions. "Lunch is served," Tom smiled, setting the plates on the table.
"Thanks, Tom," Ted said. "Put it on our tab, and we will pay it on the way out."
"Sure," Tom replied, turning and exiting the room, closing the door behind him.
Their lunch consisted of a selection of cold meats, cheeses, fruits, soups, buttered bread, and cheeses. They served themselves, and it was quiet for the next few minutes as they focused on their meal.
"Can you tell me anything else?" Harry asked after they had satisfied their hunger.
After a pause, Andromeda said, "James and Sirius became very close friends. He despised his family and spent as little time with them as possible. In the summer of his fifth year, Sirius was taken in by the Potters after a particularly vicious attack from his mother. She was trying to get him to conform to her way of thinking. It didn't work, as Sirius became even more entrenched, believing his family was insane. James and Sirius considered themselves as close as brothers, and Sirius was named your godfather when you were born."
"So what happened to him?" There had better be a reasonable explanation for why his godfather had not adopted him.
"It was said that Sirus led Voldemort to your parents' hideout after betraying them. He was sent to Azkaban Prison," Ted answered.
"Did he?" Harry asked, noting the angry expression on Andromeda's face.
Andromeda looked down at her hand clenched around her teacup. She placed it down before she shattered it in anger. "He never received a trial. We don't believe Sirius is capable of betraying your parents."
"No trial," Darius murmured. "He is thrown in prison without a conviction. Is the Ministry that incompetent?"
"More corrupt than incompetent," Andromeda observed.
"Most Death Eaters got off by claiming the Imperius curse. However, it's more likely that they bribed their way out of punishment. So why didn't Sirius get a trial?"
"The more I learn about the magical world, the less I like it." Darius looked at his daughter in concern.
"Amen," Harry said. "Why should I enter a world that is so discriminatory?"
"It's not the magical world that's the problem," Tonks said, rocking back in her chair. "It's mainly Britain, and half of Europe, who refuse to progress. There are more opportunities for muggle-borns in places like the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand."
Tonks overbalanced on the chair and crashed to the floor. "Dammit," she swore.
"That would teach you to act your age," Andromeda said sternly.
"Please don't be too harsh on her. She has to meet her quota of accidents for the day," Ted chuckled humorously. "At least this one wasn't serious."
"Tell that to my head," Tonks grumbled, rubbing a sore spot as she placed the chair back and sat down.
"So why don't we look at other schools?" Darius suggested, getting back on topic.
"Have you already paid the tuition for this year?" Andromeda asked.
"Yes," Darius said. "Is that going to be a problem?"
Ted said, "You won't get a refund. The laws don't favour muggleborns in such circumstances. It is because of them that Wizarding society functions. Muggleborns make up almost half of the population today. The economy of Magical Britain would suffer if the muggleborns started leaving in droves. So they make it harder for them to leave before they reach adulthood."
"I suggest you try Hogwarts for one year," Andromeda said. "Despite what I said, Hogwarts has a lot of good teachers who do not put up with discrimination."
Tonks laughed derisively. "Except for one greasy slimeball of a Potions teacher."
Andromeda frowned but didn't disagree.
The adult Grangers looked conflicted but eventually agreed to try for one year at least.
"Back to my godfather," Harry said. "How did he betray my parents exactly?"
"Your parents went into hiding during the war," Andromeda replied. "Nobody knows the reason, except for maybe Dumbledore. Anyway, they hid away by using the Fidelius Charm."
"What's that?" Hermione asked eagerly.
"Fidelius Charms are used for hiding places, secrets or objects," Andromeda said with a smile at the girl's enthusiasm. It works by nominating someone as the Secret Keeper, who conceals the secret within their soul. If they keep the secret, it stays hidden and cannot be found."
"So Sirius was the Secret Keeper?" Harry asked.
"That's what Dumbledore said," Andromeda frowned. "He is the one who cast the Fidelius Charm."
"Could they have changed Secret Keeper?" Hermione guessed.
"So, who else would my parents choose as the Secret Keeper?" Harry asked.
"James had two other friends he was close to in school," Andromeda answered. "Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew. Remus was out of the country, doing work for Dumbledore. Sirius Black was accused of killing Peter Pettigrew and twelve muggles in an explosion the next day."
"Sirius went after Peter Pettigrew," Hermione mused. "If we go with the assumption that Sirius is innocent, then is it possible that Peter was the Secret Keeper and was the one who betrayed the Potters? Is that why Sirius confronted Pettigrew?"
Andromeda looked startled for a moment but then nodded grimly. "Out of all James' friends, Peter Pettigrew would be the likeliest to betray them. I never liked the fellow, as he was a hanger-on with no real loyalty. But I can't see why your parents would switch to him over Sirius."
"Didn't my mother have any friends?"
"Marlene McKinnon and Alice Longbottom were close to her," Andromeda said sadly. "During the war, Death Eaters killed the former. Alice Longbottom is your godmother. She was already on the list of people that would care for you if your parents and Sirius died. She also had a son about your age, so they wouldn't use her as a Secret Keeper."
"Did something happen to her as well?" Harry could already predict the answer by reading Andromeda's expression.
"She's still alive," Andromeda wiped a tear from her eye. "But she and her husband are in St Mungo's Hospital's permanent spell damage ward. They were driven insane by the Cruciatis Curse."
Her mother shook her head as Hermione was about to ask a question. Silence hung in the air for a moment.
It was hard for Harry to comprehend how much was taken from him in such a short period. Prior to these last few days, his life had been terrible. There were times when reality really sucked.
"But how can we prove Sirius's innocence if Peter is already dead?" Harry asked, returning to the topic of his godfather.
Ted sighed deeply. "It's hard. Even if it was brought up at the Wizengamot, enough families in the Dark faction do not want Sirius free, so they would do anything to prevent the trial from happening. We have been trying for years to get Sirius a trial. We even went to Dumbledore to demand that he get him one since he is a Chief Warlock with political power, but he seems utterly convinced that Sirius is guilty."
"Can't you bring it up with your boss?" Harry turned to Tonks.
It looked as if Tonks's hair had wilted, and she shook her head. Amelia is fair but would have opposition from Fudge, particularly with Lucius Malfoy on his side. For her to act, I would have to provide compelling evidence. Besides, I'm only a trainee Auror and Sirius' relative. That's two strikes against me, so why would she believe anything I said?"
"I'm talking to my Account Manager next week," Harry said, remembering that he had an appointment for Tuesday. "Can I get a copy of the will? Maybe it is mentioned in there?"
"Only if your parents updated their will after changing Secret keepers," Ted said, rubbing his chin in thought. "Besides, unless the Ministry unseals the will, there is no way for you to read it,"
"Dumbledore is Chief Warlock," Andromeda said with disgust. "He could do it, but he refuses to act. I don't know what that man's agenda is."
The more he heard about the Headmaster, the less he liked him. He had never met him, but he seemed to control so much of his life from the shadows. Was it out of benevolence, or was there a more sinister motive?
"Let's continue this discussion another time," Harry said. "It looks like we are at an impasse at the moment. Hermione's parents wanted to ask some questions about the Dungeons."
Everyone agreed, and they turned to look at Tonks.
"What do you want to know," Tonks asked.
"How dangerous are they?" Jane asked.
There is no easy answer to that question," Tonks frowned. "They are dangerous, but they also represent a substantial economic boon to wizarding society. Dungeons respawn, so wealth, ingredients, and treasures are endless. The new materials coming in have the potential to benefit every profession, allowing them to create items that have never been seen before."
"And they will not let the non-magical world know about the Dungeon's appearance?" Darius looked annoyed.
"There are probably many muggle governments that are already aware," Tonks said with a shrug. The Prime Minister and the Queen might already be aware of this. Remember how I mentioned that Muggleborns were discriminated against? We know that the British government reached out to some of these Muggleborns and convinced them to support their cause. It's no surprise that they are building up their magical force. The last war must have left hundreds of Muggles feeling helpless."
"Would the government know about the Dungeon in Little Whinging?" Harry asked.
"Probably not," Ted said. "The British Ministry has a detection network setup across the country that detects magical activity. The non-magical government doesn't have the same resources."
It seems unfair to me," Hermione grumbled. "These Dungeons are on British territory. They should not hide what's going on."
"It may not be a choice for them soon," Tonks said with a serious tone. "New types of Dungeons have emerged recently—ones where magic is completely restricted. We would not have known about the new threat if not for a lucky escape. Wizards would have a hard time dealing with these Dungeons."
Harry swallowed heavily. Being trapped in a Dungeon like that would be terrifying for someone who relied on magic. Did Gaia negate the Dungeon's effect? It wasn't something he could afford to assume. So he best prepares himself for a scenario like that one day—just another thing to add to the list of things he needs to get done.
It looks like he was headed straight for his base of operations after he finished shopping.
====({owo})====
A frown spread across Harry's face as he surveyed the clearing. As the Ministry had an eye on the place, he could no longer build a base here. Tonks said the Dungeon would not appear for a few weeks since he defeated the Boss. As a result, this place should attract little attention. Thankfully, the Dungeon didn't need to respawn for him to explore it.
Hedwig swooped to a nearby tree and placed her head under her wing. The Grangers dropped him off at his little hideaway after he had finished shopping. It was likely Celeste would show up soon, and there would be friction between the two familiars. They needed to learn how to work together because he would eventually take them to the Dungeon to train.
While Harry was disappointed that Hedwig did not give him the wind affinity, he reminded himself that he already had enough skills to learn. Rather than spread himself too thin, he should focus on mastering the skills he had.
It was important for him to focus on some battle tactics for his familiars. With shadow magic, Celeste would be an excellent pseudo-assassin. She could sneak attack foes before they were aware of them, and when she levelled up, get access to more skills that created nasty status effects and weakening spells.
Hedwig's role in the team was still up for debate. In a fight, he needed to determine how useful she would be.
While she could not defeat larger and sturdier enemies, she could easily distract them. Additionally, Hedwig could scout areas beyond what he could see on his Mini-map. By planning his attacks ahead of time, he could avoid being caught off guard. Additionally, she had a special affinity for wind magic. Would she also be able to learn spells? A thought to ponder later.
Harry went over his mental list of tasks he wanted to get done and got started.
To expand his inventory to a hundred slots, he sacrificed seventy galleons. As a result of his sudden windfall, he wasn't too concerned about money. Despite this, he wanted to earn his own money and not waste everything in his trust account.
He then checked the address on the parchment he received from Oliivanders.
New Quest Received!
The Mage's Wand
Description: Harry Potter needs a more powerful wand that can stand up to the demands of his magic. Find the wand crafters that Ollivander recommends and convince them to craft you a wand.
Current Objective: Find the wand crafters.
Time Limit: One Month.
This quest is mandatory.
Since Hermione was fluent in the language, he might ask her for help. Since he still had his training wand, it wasn't the top priority, but it would need to be done before he left for Hogwarts.
After placing the parchment in his inventory, Harry focused on his next task. Only a few days remained for him to complete the first part of the Chain Quest. His instinct told him that once he reached level ten in Observation, the Wardstone's secrets would be revealed. His Observation skill was currently at level eight, but he needed a reliable way to replenish his Mana. Despite purchasing several dozen Witches Caps, they would only help a little.
A solution to the problem came to Harry when he learned the crafting skill, Potions. Two of the five books he had purchased on the subject were on his first year's book list. He first had to learn the general charm's spell for creating potions. Since it was only a first-year spell, it should be easy to learn. After ten minutes, he managed to learn it.
Potio Roborate Charm | Active | Level: 1 | Next: 1% | Cost: Variable |
Description: The Invigorate Potion Charm adds some of the Wizard's magic to the potion to make them viable. It is why potions cannot be created by non-magical and requires a wand. All Potions require a specific amount of wizard magic, so they must learn how to control how much power they put into the spell.
The player can add from 1-10 Mana into a Potion.
+ 5% effectiveness in controlling the amount of Mana added.
-5% less chance to destabilise the Potion.
"I'll try to make a potion now," Harry murmured.
He found an easy recipe for Boil Cure Potion in Magical Drafts and Potions. After learning Potions, he planned to research and create a potion that restored Mana. If he used the Witches Cap as a base, he might just succeed.
He gathered rocks to form a circle to keep the fire from spreading. Then he gathered loose branches and carefully arranged them. Aspen made good firewood since it didn't produce a lot of smoke and wasn't poisonous. It wasn't very dense, so you couldn't build a big fire and produce a lot of heat. But luckily, he only needed a small one for his purposes.
Harry conjured a Fireball and held it against the wood until it caught flame. He added more to the fire and waited for it to get hot enough.
After taking out the cauldron and placing it over the fire, he added water and left it to boil. The cauldron's base had a simple runic array that controlled the temperature. He was able to adjust it easily by tapping his wand on it.
He took out his Potion equipment and ingredients and began preparing them. First, he added six snake fangs to the mortar and ground them into a fine powder. Adjusting the temperature to 250 Celsius, he poured the fangs into the cauldron and let it boil for ten seconds.
"Potio Roborate," Harry chanted, waving his wand over the cauldron. He only needed to add five Mana to the Potion, but he was sure he had added too much. Now he had to leave it to brew for thirty to forty-five minutes.
The rest of the steps were simple.
{Celeste} 'Harry, I'm coming back.'
{Hedwig} 'Who is making all that noise?'
{Celeste} 'Huh? Harry, who is that?
'Don't worry about it. I will introduce you when you get here.'
Celeste showed up a minute later, zooming through the trees. She landed on his shoulder and kissed him on the cheek. A shadow passed overhead, and Celeste shrieked.
Hedwig landed on his other shoulder, and now his two familiars were locked in a staring competition. Something told him that Hedwig would win this one.
"So, I got a new familiar," Harry said. "Celeste, this is Hedwig. I found her in Diagon Alley."
"Harry, are you betraying me already? Why do we need a feather brain when you already have the perfect familiar?"
{Hedwig} 'It looks like I have to teach you some manners, you little insect.'
"Insect?" Celeste yelled. "Do you want to fight?"
{Hedwig} 'Still a child.'
Hedwig looked away in contempt.
Harry raised his hands. "Time out. I want the two of you to get along. Both of you are important to me, so I will not have you bickering in my ear all day."
"Whatever."
'Whatever.'
Hedwig returned to her tree and went back to sleep.
Celeste tilted her head at the cauldron over the fire.
"What are you doing."
"Making potions," Harry said. "I want to see if I can get the skill."
"Why are you in a rush?" Celeste asked.
"I want to see if I can create a potion that restores Mana," Harry said. "So I can grind Observation and finish the first part of my quest."
"Are you forgetting that you can borrow magic from me?" Celeste rolled her eyes.
"I forgot about that," Harry admitted, looking embarrassed.
"You can also probably increase your Mana Regeneration by learning the Meditation skill," Celeste said. "Although it doesn't show up as a skill for me, I can restore my Mana similarly."
"Really?" Harry looked at the concoction simmering on the fire. "Let me know when half an hour passes, please. I'm going to continue trying to learn Meditation."
After half an hour, he added the final ingredients and completed the final steps. According to the recipe, the Boil Cure Potion was supposed to release a bright pink smoke. His Potion was pale pink, so he guessed it wasn't the best result. He filled a phial with the Potion and received a notification in return.
Congratulations!
You have made your first Potion!
You have learned the Potion Skill.
Potions | Active | Level: 1 | Next: 2% | Cost: 0 |
Description: The art of making Potions is a highly exacting discipline and can be dangerous in the wrong hands. Potions have many uses in the magical world, and Potion Masters devote their lives to creating new recipes. The higher the skill, the higher the chance of creating perfect potions with no side effects.
+1% brewing speed.
+1% chance to create a perfect potion.
+1% fewer ingredients wasted in preparation.
+0.5% chance to gain inspiration for a new recipe.
"Wow, not bad for your first try," Celeste said.
Harry inspected the Potion in the phial.
Boil Cure | Potion | Common | Lv. 2 | Grade: C
Description: It is an effective remedy against pustules, hives, boils and many other scrofulous conditions. This is a robust potion of powerful character. Care should be taken when brewing. Prepared incorrectly, this Potion has been known to cause boils rather than cure them.
Chance to cause adverse effects: 20%
Toxicity + 10%
Although the Potion wasn't perfect, he was happy he got the skill. But since there was a more straightforward method to get Mana regeneration, he would stop making potions for now and continue learning Meditation.
Two hours later, Harry pumped his fist in delight.
Meditation | Active | Level: 1 | Next: 1% | Cost: 0 |
Description: The discipline of finding inner tranquillity and emptying the mind of distracting thoughts and feelings. It allows the player to sense the elements that are a part of the world. Mana regeneration increased by a significant amount when active.
+50% to Mana Regen.
+ 1% to sensing the elements in the world.
+ 1% to essence absorption.
Harry stood and stretched his arms. Peering at his watch, he was surprised that it was almost evening. He packed up all the equipment and called his familiars.
They descended onto his shoulder, and he gave them some affection. "Let's head back. Hedwig, it's time for you to meet the dastardly Dursleys."
====({owo})====
June 24th
Harry stepped into the backyard on Monday morning. He had finally reached level ten in Observation and was going to dig up the wardstone.
"About time," Celeste complained. "I feel so used. How many times did you steal my magic?"
Harry rolled his eyes. "Maybe you shouldn't have reminded me that it was an option. You only have yourself to blame."
"That's the last time I help you with anything," Celeste flicked his ear.
Harry dug up the ground again, retrieved the wardstone from the hole, and placed it down.
'Observation'
Multi-Protection Ward | Runestone | Rare | Level 60
Description: A runestone with various protection charms etched into the surface. Albus Dumbledore created it to protect Harry Potter from followers of Voldemort looking for revenge. His initial plan of creating a blood protection enchantment was stymied when Lily Potters's body was not found at the Potters' home. It is tied to Harry Potters's magic to sustain the Wardstone.
[Patriarch Protection Charm]
[Modified Fidelius Charm: Whinging Area]
[Dark Magic Detection Charm]
[Mass Obscurus Charm]
[Intruder Charm]
[Health Monitoring Charm]
[Redirect Mail Charm]
His attention was immediately drawn to the line about his mother. Why had his mother's body not been found? Dumbledore knew his mother had died that night, so why couldn't he find her body? Didn't she die from a Killing Curse? Did her coffin go to the grave without a body?
What the hell was going on?
He had also discovered what reaching twenty-five per cent of his magic, the wardstone, was. One thing was for sure; he wasn't returning to the Dursleys after his first year at Hogwarts, no matter what anyone said. So, he would destroy the wardstone before he left.

Current Objective: Travel to Godrics Hollow
Time Limit: Two weeks
This quest is mandatory.
Harry took a breath, trying to compose himself. Where was the Quest Chain leading him? He didn't want to make any assumptions, but a tiny spark of hope ignited deep within himself. Was it possible that his mother was alive? Or was it a fool's errand? Even if she was, where had she been this entire time? It didn't make any sense.
"What's the matter?" Celeste asked, flying over and landing on his shoulder. She reached out and wiped away a tear trailing down his cheek.
Harry took off his glasses and wiped his eyes. He showed her the new quest that he had received.
Celeste hesitated. "I don't want to be a downer, but this quest could mean many things. She may be alive somehow, but it is a slim possibility."
"I know," Harry said. "I just forgot myself for a moment. No matter what, I want to find out what happened."
"Then that's the next thing for us to do," Celeste nodded. "Now, where was Godrics Hollow again?"
So what do you think? Next chapter, Harry does some more experiments and learns some new skills.
Thanks for reading.
