Recap
Moments later, the two men came around and Clint looked at Nix with eyes of happiness. Tony was still in shock until Pepper wrapped her arms around him and smiled.
Nix turned to face Dr. Palmer and Dr. Strange and said, "Thanks, for confirming the pregnancy, Dr. Palmer. And Dr. Strange?"
Stephen looked at Nix curiously.
"Thanks to you as well. I know that something like this isn't what you and Dr. Palmer deal with but thank you. Perhaps, I'll see you and Dr. Palmer again because you two are very kind to me and I appreciate that." Nix stated.
"You're welcome, Mrs. Barton." Stephen said.
"Yes, you're very welcome, Mrs. Barton." Christine said.
The family turned to leave but before they did, Nix looked at Dr. Strange and said, "Dr. Strange, sometimes the unexpected can happen. When it does happen, it's either a grand adventure or something more to you." Then left.
Stephen wondered what Mrs. Barton meant by that as did Christine.
Tony, Clint, Draco, and Nix had left Metro-General Hospital once they climbed into the car and Happy drove off.
Inside the car...
"Nix, you know that I'm not that old but I am happy for you and Clint. I'm just a little bit...nervous about being a grandpa." Tony said.
Clint looked at Tony and said, "You're nervous about being a grandpa. I am nervous about being a father."
Nix giggled and said, "Draco should be just as nervous because I already have a feeling who Clint would chose as a godmother to our little one."
Draco looked at Nix as did Tony and Clint. Then Draco asked, "Why should I be nervous, Nix?"
"I thought it was obvious, Draco. You're the godfather." Nix said.
Draco was literally in shock to hear that he was being named godfather to Nix's and Clint's first little one.
Clint looked at Nix and said, "When you said that I have already chosen a godmother; I have two godmothers in mind."
Nix smiled and said, "I also have another godfather in mind as well considering our little one will probably be spoiled by their grandparents, godparents, aunts, and uncles."
Clint was surprised by what his wife was saying and then asked, "Who is the other godfather that you chose, Nix?"
Nix just smiled.
"You're not going to tell me, are you, Nix?" Clint questioned.
Nix's smile never left her face and said, "You'll just have to guess, Hawk."
Clint huffed.
Tony was actually curious as well who his daughter had picked as the other godfather; but he knew that she wasn't going to say who it was.
On their way back, Clint was literally begging Nix to tell him who the other godfather of their little girl was going to be; because he had exhausted himself with guesses.
"My Hawk, don't worry over it." Nix said.
Draco decided to head back and asked Nix's permission to let those that were truly close to her; the good news.
Nix nodded to Draco and then he left.
Several weeks later ...
Nix was at least seven weeks pregnant going on eight. It was either Tony or Clint or even Happy that went with her to her appointments depending if they didn't have something to do. Sometimes, she would even let Jarvis come with her to let him record anything the doctor said incase the others were working.
Her father had insisted that her and Clint moved into their own private suite within the newly named Stark Tower that was now called Avengers Tower. Which they agreed to do so since both Pepper and Tony insisted on it.
Nix decided to head into the kitchen to start fixing breakfast for everyone.
Clint and Tony were the first to enter the kitchen this morning; and Nix found it funny that both her father and husband both went straight for the coffee.
"Good Morning, Dad and Clint." Nix said.
"Good Morning, Nix." Tony said.
"Good Morning, Love." Clint said coming up behind her and kissed her softly.
Moments later, her mother came in followed by Rhodey and Natasha. Then came Captain Rogers followed by Bruce then Thor.
"Jarvis?" Nix said.
"Yes, Mrs. Barton?"
"Do you mind to open the window because there is a teen heading in our direction?" Nix said.
"Of course, Mrs. Barton."
Tony barely had his cup of coffee to his lips when he heard what his daughter had told Jarvis.
Clint was surprised that a teen was going to be joining them this morning.
Pepper looked at Nix confused as did the others.
When they heard a loud thud hit the glass window and turned towards it to see a young man dressed in blue, red, and black. He crawled in from the outside and then walked into the kitchen a little nervously.
"Good Morning, Mrs. Barton." The young man said.
"Good Morning, Spider-Man. Take a seat, you're eating breakfast before you head off. And I'll not take no for an answer." Nix stated.
"Yes, ma'am." The young man said sitting down.
"Um...Nix?" Tony questioned curiously.
The teen turned towards the voice and was completely stunned at seeing Tony Stark aka Iron Man along with Hawkeye
"Dad, this is your friendly neighborhood, Spider-Man and he's joining us this morning." Nix stated.
"Wait! Iron Man is your father?!" The teen asked in surprise looking at Mrs. Barton.
"He is and Hawkeye is my husband." Nix said with a smile at Spider-Man's reaction.
"Nice to meet you both." Spider-Man said.
"Same here, kid." Both Tony and Clint said.
Spider-Man looked at Nix again said, "You're also Mrs. Hawkeye?!"
Phoenix found it funny at Spider-Man's reactions twords her father, her husband, and her. Then she said, "Yes and you're having breakfast with the Avengers."
Spider-Man was completely in shock that he passed out.
"Figlia, credo che tu l'abbia scioccato." Tony said Italian.
"Sì, credo di averlo fatto, papà." Nix answered in Italian.
Pepper and Clint knew that when Tony and Nix spoke in Italian it usually meant a private conversation between the two.
Just then, the rest of the Avengers began entering the kitchen and they saw the passed out figure dressed red, blue, and black.
"Who's this, Tony?" Steve asked.
"Nix says that he calls himself Spider-Man." Tony answered.
"Papà, Spider-Man è un maschio adolescente. Apparentemente, è un fan di Iron Man, Hawkeye e molto probabilmente." Nix stated in Italian.
Tony seemed surprised to hear that and responded in Italian, "Davvero, Nix e cosa ne pensi?"
"Potrei pensare a lui come a un fratellino, papà. Tuttavia, potrebbe avere una famiglia." Nix answered.
"Why are Tony and Nix speaking Italian?" Bruce questioned.
"When Tony and Nix speak in Italian; it's usually a private conversation between them. And no, Nat, you will not translate their conversations for everyone." Clint said.
Natasha blinked. While the others were stunned that Clint told Nat not to translate the conversations between Tony and Nix while they were speaking in Italian.
"Papà, ti ricordi quando tu e Clint avete chiesto dell'altro padrino del nostro piccolo?" Nix asked in Italian.
Tony nodded.
"Bene, l'altro Padrino sarà il dottor Stephen Strange." Nix said.
Tony's eyes went wide and asked, "Perché Nix?"
"Perché il destino ha scelto il dottor Stephen Strange come Stregone Supremo, papà." Nix said.
Tony was about to say something when a voice said, "I don't want to seem rude, but will you two speak English?"
Everyone turned to see Phil Coulson standing there alive and well.
Spider-Man came to and saw that everyone was looking at him a little worriedly.
"Are you alright?" Steve asked.
"Yeah, may be a little surprised is all." Spider-Man said.
Tony looked at Spider-Man and said, "Spider-Man, thank you for taking some time and talking with my daughter during the times we've been gone or Pepper and I have been at the office."
The Avengers except Clint were surprised to hear this.
Spider-Man looked at Tony and said, "You're welcome, Mr. Stark."
"Tony is my father-in-law and I agree with him. So, thank you, Spider-Man for visiting my wife from time to time to keep her spirits up." Clint stated.
"You're welcome, Mr. Barton." Spider-Man said.
Everyone watched as Spider-Man lifted part of his mask to eat. Which alerted both Tony and Phoenix that he wanted to keep his identity a secret. However, they knew that that may not last.
Steve saw how young the lower half revealed of Spider-Man's faced looked and said, "You're a kid!"
Spider-Man froze.
Nix spoke saying, "Captain, I have faced a lot worse since I was eleven up until I was seventeen. My father saved me in more ways than you'll ever know. If Spider-Man is a child or teen who is fighting to protect those he cares about and that the Avengers can't help then I'm happy to call him a hero."
The Avengers were stunned except Clint because he knew of his wife entire story and Tony had saved her by secretly having trained to fight and be prepared for her battle in the Magical World of Britain. That's why he, Tony, and Pepper tell everyone that she had been drafted into the special forces of Britain which was sorta a lie. However, what had surprised them is the Queen of England went along with it.
"How is that possible?!" Natasha said.
"Which part, Black Widow?" Nix said.
"What you just said?" Natasha questioned.
"My biological parents were members of the British Royal Court of the Queen. When father saved me, he went before the Queen herself and told her what had happened and trust me, the Queen was quite upset. " Nix said.
The Avengers and Spider-Man were completely stunned to hear this.
Suddenly, an owl flew in the window and landed on Nix's shoulder.
Tony and Pepper were suddenly on their feet as was Clint and Spider-Man was as well.
"What is it, Nix?" Tony questioned.
Nix took the letter from the owl and gave the owl some bacon. Her eyes were wide because she wasn't exactly expecting this.
"Nix?" Clint questioned.
"It's from the Queen of England herself." Nix stated.
The Avengers were shocked as was Spider-Man.
"What does she say?" Tony asked curiously.
Nix read the letter aloud:
Lady Stark-Barton,
I am happy to hear that you and your husband are expecting. Also, I happy to hear that your father and mother have raised you well.
I know that things were not exactly pleasant for you until your father saved you and explain the entire situation to me personally.
Tony blushed a bit.
The Avengers were stunned that Tony had went before the Queen herself.
Nix continued reading:
I am now being informed of the things that are going on and I have managed to create an orphanage for those who lost family in the unexpected war that happened here in Britain itself because some old coot thought it best not to inform the crown.
As you so eloquently put it yourself, 'The Royal Family has a right to know what goes on because they are people too' and let me tell you when Mr. Kingsly heard me utter those words he was struck dumb as the American saying goes.
By the way, give my thanks to the Avengers would you. If they hadn't have stopped that invasion before it could spread throughout the whole planet .
Forgive me for saying this, but Fury needs to get that stick out of his ass and realize that every life matters..
I can not wait see your little when you and your husband visit England.
Her Majesty of England
P.S.
Tell your father that my great-grandchildren enjoyed their gifts and so did we all.
"You sent gifts to the Royal family?!" Natasha said.
"Yeah, after all the Queen was the one who allowed me to adopt Nix when explained everything to her and she understood greatly of the situation." Tony stated.
"But the Queen, Tony?" Bruce said.
Tony sighed and said, "Guys, Nix was almost sixteen years old when I adopted her in secret and I may have went before the Queen to ask for some help to let Nix a duel citizenship since she was English."
Nix chuckled.
"What's so funny?" Natasha questioned.
Clinic knew that chuckle and said, "Nix, you're not thinking about how we met, are you?"
"Just exactly did you meet my daughter, Birdbrain?" Tony questioned.
Before Clint could respond; Spider-Man had looked up and saw floating numbers and said, "Crap! I'm going to be late!"
Everyone turned to see Spider-Man grab his things and thanked Nix for breakfast as well as telling them it was nice meeting them and jumped out the window.
"What was that all about?" Nat and Steve said.
"If Spider-Man is a teenager then were do all children go?" Nix said.
"School." Bruce said.
"Exactly, Dr. Banner." Nix said.
"Now back to my question, Birdbrain." Tony said.
"Dad, believe or not, Clint hadn't seen me since I fifteen. I was basically twenty two when I saw him again but he didn't recognize me at first." Nix said.
"He didn't?" Natasha questioned.
"No, I didn't because it had been seven years since I had seen Nix. So, when I saw her it was complete shock and she had been worried that the Wizarding World of Britain would take our memories away." Clint said.
Tony looked at his daughter and asked, "È vero, Bambina?"
"Sì, papà, è vero e tu eri una famiglia per me." Nix said.
Somewhere in New York...
Spider-Man made it to his hidden spot to change into his everyday day clothes. Then he made is way to Midtown High to go to class.
"Hey, Peter!" A voice said.
"Hey, Ned." Peter said.
"So, how was your day, Peter?" Ned asked.
"Well, you remember I told you about the woman that I saw as Spider-Man." Peter said.
Ned nodded.
"Well, she happened to be Tony Stark's daughter, Phoenix Stark and she's married to Hawkeye." Peter said.
"No way!" Ned said in shock.
"Yeah, well this morning, I had breakfast her, Hawkeye, and her parents along with the Avengers." Peter said.
"Aw, you're so lucky, Peter." Ned said.
Peter sighed and said, "Maybe but you know, it would shock me if I had an interview with Tony Stark and his daughter for internship at Stark Industries; but the internship is only for college students."
"Penis Parker!" A voice said.
"What do you want, Flash?" Peter asked.
"You'll never get an internship at Stark Industries, Parker." Flash said.
Peter entered his school in order to go to class. However, unbeknownst to him, Both Tony and his daughter had figured out his identity because of a YouTube video Peter had posted sometime back and they were very impressed by him.
Little did he know that when he got home from school that Phoenix Stark-Barton would be there at his Aunt May's apartment.
Several hours later...
Peter was walking home and saw this amazing looking car parked outside his Aunt's apartment building that he wondered who could be here of all places.
He made his way, into the apartment, he said, "Aunt May, there's a fancy looking car outsi..." Peter trailed off as he saw a young woman talking to Aunt May.
May turned towards Peter and said, "Peter, why didn't you tell me that you applied for an internship at Stark Industries?"
Peter was somewhat caught off guard but recovered by saying, "I wanted it to be a surprise? Surprise!"
"Peter, I am sorry that my father couldn't be here personally to inform you personally that we have accepted you as my father's personal intern as well as mine during certain hours of the weekdays and weekends. You'll be working personally with my father or myself." Nix said, "If your Aunt doesn't mind I would like to talk to you privately, Peter."
"Not at all, Ms. Stark." May said.
Peter couldn't actually believe this was happening because he and Ned were talking about it just this morning.
"It's actually, Mrs. Stark-Barton, but my husband does suggest that I use Stark when it involves Stark Industries." Nix said.
"Oh? I'm sorry. I didn't know. " May said.
"It's okay. " Nix said.
So, Peter and Phoenix continued talking for a while after they entered his bedroom to talk privately. Then a few minutes later, they returned to the living room of Peter's and his Aunt May's apartment.
"So, is everything okay?" May asked.
"Yes and either my father or myself will see Peter tomorrow afternoon at Stark Tower to get everything settled with his security clearance at the Tower and Happy will bring him." Nix said.
"Tell your father, thank you for me; for allowing this opportunity for my nephew." May said.
"I certainly will, Mrs. Parker." Nix stated.
Both May and Peter watched as Nix left their apartment. May hugged Peter and told him of how proud she was of him
For the next couple of weeks; after school, Peter was getting use to being the personal intern of Tony Stark and Phoenix Stark-Barton. He actually enjoyed it but Mrs. Stark-Barton as well as Tony Stark told him to do his homework before his shift started or do it during his breaks if he liked to.
About a month later...
Peter had completely adjusted to working as an intern at Stark Tower for Stark Industries. Both Tony and his daughter were very kind; but he already knew that because of meeting them as Spider-Man, on that fateful and unexpected morning.
"Hey, Pete, where were you, yesterday?" Ned asked.
"Um...Ned, I have an Internship at Stark Industries." Peter said.
"No, way!" Ned said excited.
"Yeah and I work closely with Tony Stark or his daughter." Peter said.
"That's so cool." Ned said.
"Hey! Parker!" Flash said.
Peter sighed and said, "Yes, Flash?"
"Everyone knows that Stark Industries doesn't hire high schoolers as Interns." Flash said.
Suddenly, their science teacher walked in and apparently was completely stunned about something.
"Sir, is something wrong?" A student asked.
Mr. Thornton looked and said, "Nothing is wrong; but I but was informed that our class was invited to Stark Tower."
The students gasped in shock.
Flash looked at Peter with a grin and said quietly, "It looks like we will see if it's true if you're working for Stark.
Peter wondered if Tony and his daughter actually planned this or if it really was just a Field trip.
