Love The Way You Lie
Author's Note: I know my update seemed like a surprise last time around! I had major writer's block for a month then when I got back into my writing mojo, my laptop started to act up where I couldn't work on anything sadly. Now I'm back and hopefully will be able to work on things more. I now can only work in the middle of the night since I have two tiny humans now sooooo yay. Sleep? Who's she? Well anyway, I hope you enjoy! and of course, welcome back to Love The Way You Lie! So lowkey let's see you see a little thing I did with a few of my favorite animes.
So for a little bit of fun: I'm going to do Present Mic intros for the Future Trio! And maybe a little bit of extra detail into them! You can ignore this if you want to! It's just for fun!
Minato Todoroki! Hero Name Blueflame. His quirk is Angelic Fire. Minato can produce high temperature flames from his body and manipulate his own fire at will! He's also a bit of a hot-head. You could say this guy is fire.
Koyuki Yamada! Hero name Chronos. Quirk Time Turner! Koyuki has the ability to manipulate time around her and do time jumps. The longer the time jump, the longer the resting period. Koyuki can only jump back and forth through times that she has been alive. She can't travel into the future or to a time before she was born. You could really say this girl is a time traveler.
Kazuto Aizawa! Hero name Kirito. Quirk Lyric! Often referred to as the Black Swordsman for weilding two swords on his back and various knives, this kid uses his voice to either enchance or entrap. His voice can strengthen his allies or put his enemies into a trance. The more people he uses his quirk on, the weaker it is. His quirk is stronger on people he cares about and wants to protect.
Additional Notes: Alright so I'm moving forward with breaking up Bakugou and Shinsou and also Todoroki and Midoriya. I think I got a good game plan for what I'm doing with them. Bakugou and Shinsou technically broke up "off screen" under mutual agreement. Originally this was supposed to be BakuTodo and my mind went stupid for a minute and mixed up my pairings with another fic. Oops. Question though, who would you like to see for Shinsou and Midoriya? DekuShin? KamiShin? IzuChako? I thought of DekuShin at first and now I'm having second thoughts xD what do you think? WHY CAN'T I MAKE UP MY MIND. UGH. BakuTodo is gonna happen at some point though, that one is made up.
Also I'm rewriting this fic. Eh cause why not.
Chapter Warnings: mentions of almost anything in this fic. Bakugou is literally his own warning and no one can change my mind on that, etc.
Chapter Twenty Seven: Bet On It (by Zac Efron)
Chapter Summary: The day has arrived that the hero course students get to go to the resort. Todoroki confides in Hitoshi about his feelings regarding his relationship with Midoriya. Dabi realizes that he might be gaining feelings for Hawks. The Future Trio reveal some of their future to Class 1-A as Koyuki continues to recover. Hizashi tells Shouta his own plan for his future.
Excitement filled the air as Class 1-A had their bags packed and ready to go. Todoroki held his bag close to himself as his gazed moved over his classmates. Class B would also be joining them at the resort. According to Hawks and Aizawa, it was an unanimous decision on part of the U.A. Faculty that they would be going to this resort as a special treat. Though, Todoroki knew it was because of all the events that had happened within the previous months. Frankly, they could all use it.
His eyes moved over to the three newcomers. They were quickly dubbed the Future Trio by the class upon discovering that they were indeed from the future. All they had to go off of were their hero names. Chronos was the girl with the snow white hair. The blonde was Blueflame and the boy with black hair their age was Kirito. Todoroki had heard them say their names to each other in confidence but he wasn't about to go spilling that information out. From what Aizawa had said, they revealed their identities to them during a meeting but all information from them had to remain confidential. He understood it. They were from a future time, they could damage the timeline from now until then. It was revealed to them that Kane and Kaede had managed to mess up the future and that's why the Future Trio had found themselves in the past to try and correct it.
Truthfully, Todoroki was thankful for them. Kirito had actually saved Hitoshi and Midoriya during the fight. Kirito had also helped them again when they were facing off against Kane. The sensation that he had felt when the boy had used his quirk was strange. He had felt everything in him getting stronger just hearing the boy's voice. From what he's learned from Midoriya and Hitoshi as well as his own experience, the boy was able to manipulate people and even their quirks somehow just by singing. It wasn't hard to piece together that the boy was Kazuto Aizawa. Aizawa's newborn pup. He had also heard Blueflame say his name in a whisper when they thought everyone was distracted.
Blueflame and Chronos had been key figures in taking down Kaede on the rooftop of Class B's dorms before those two had joined in on the battle. Blueflame wasn't hard to figure out either. Especially with the hero name he had chosen. Blueflame was an alias that Touya had used to go by during his days as Dabi. Touya had also told him about the supposed child he had bared sometime before he had joined the League. According to him, Kaede had wiped his memories after the birth of the boy and kept the pup for Kane. The pup's name being Minato and had been found during rescue operations done by Hawks and Present Mic. At the moment, Minato from this time was being housed at a local foster care agency as a family was being searched for under Touya's wishes. From what Todoroki could tell, Minato grew up to be stronger and independent. Whoever he ended up with seemed to set him on the right path.
The girl was harder to figure out. He had caught her name also as Koyuki. He didn't know the name but knew she was somehow connected to Minato. Minato and Koyuki showed signs of being closer than Minato and Kazuto were. Though, that could of always been summed down to age. Kazuto appeared to only be about fourteen to fifteen in age. He was old enough to have a hero license so at minimum was a first year at U.A. Minato appeared to be in his twenties along with Koyuki. It had been Koyuki's quirk that had brought them here. He had watched as she collapsed on the battlefield trying to use her quirk to send them back to their own time. He didn't ask questions but he was sure it had to be similar to Aizawa's breaks with Erasure where she had to rest for a certain amount of time before she could try to do a time jump again. From what he could guess, the longer the time jump, the longer the restng period was.
Todoroki moved his eyes away from the Future Trio and towards Midoriya where he stood talking to Iida and Uraraka. A tightness came to his chest as he looked at the older teenager. What he felt in that moment was nothing close to what he felt for the Alpha before. It felt almost like resentment to him. The flood of emotions that he got just by looking at the Alpha infuriated him. He couldn't look at Midoriya the same anymore. It had been bubbling up in him long before their small spat during the fight. Ever since he had gotten back from being abducted by Kane, he could feel Midoriya pulling away from him. Midoriya spent less time around him despite those small moments of comfort the Alpha provided to him. Midoriya had been treating him like he was glass that would shatter at any moment from just a wrong touch. Nothing felt the same anymore to him and he hated every moment of it. He wanted Midoriya just to treat him as he had before, not like something that was broken.
He sighed softly, his grip only tighter on his bag. "Shoto? You good?" Hitoshi's voice made him jump as the purple haired Omega came up beside him. Todoroki nodded, choosing not to answer in that moment. If he spoke, he wasn't sure if he could keep himself from saying everything on his mind. Hitoshi had became a brother to him. Legally, they were. Despite his name not changing, Aizawa had adopted him legally after Endeavor signed all of his rights away. Some people would say it was blackmail but in the end they needed Endeavor to be the Number One hero. The world was on edge with the loss of All Might and with Present Mic's betrayal along with Hawks' abrupt retirement. The worst thing that could happen was if Endeavor's past abuse to his family came to light. To him, there was a reason that Endeavor was the Number Two hero for the longest time. He was a shitty father but a good hero. If only Endeavor was able to be the same at home. Power had gone to his head. The desire to have a child that could surpass All Might to fulfill his own desires. The world was not black and white in the slightest. Everything that had happened proved that. It was comforting to have someone like Hitoshi by his side. Hitoshi didn't judge him. Didn't treat him like he was glass. That's what he needed. It was even more irritating to him that even Bakugou had showed more support to him compared to Midoriya.
Midoriya had been a source of comfort but in recent times that's all the Alpha would try to do. Midoriya wasn't pushing him to be better. He was trying to keep him sidelined. Todoroki tsked, the fury building up in him. He didn't want to be this angry at Midoriya. He knew the Alpha meant well and wanted nothing but the world for him. Yet, he still couldn't help the feeling of resent that he felt every time that he looked at the Alpha. He knew he shouldn't. Midoriya had been there in the darkest of times for him. He didn't understand why he was this damn angry. Maybe it was that he wanted Midoriya to see him as an equal again. He had been working so hard to get back to where he was before. He wouldn't let Kane break him anymore. The bastard wouldn't hold that over him again. The nightmares. The accidental quirk activations. The PTSD. All of it. He would show them all that wasn't him anymore. He had this. Whether Midoriya believed in him or not.
He could feel Hitoshi's eyes burning into him before the other Omega grabbed his arm and drug him into the kitchen away from the others. "Shoto, tell me what's on your mind." Hitoshi muttered, his voice soft and reassuring.
Todoroki sighed, looking down at his feet for a moment before looking up. "It's Midoriya."
Hitoshi nodded, leaning against the kitchen counter but not once taking his eyes off of Todoroki. "I've noticed that you two haven't exactly been agreeing lately."
The Dual haired Omega shrugged. "You could say that." He paused, taking a deep breath. "Every time I look at him, I just get so angry. Toshi, I don't know what to do. I love him but I can't do this anymore. Not when I literally just want to scream. It's as if I'm glass to him and I'm gonna shatter." He explained, trying his best to convey everything that he was feeling. "He's so sweet and kind. Protective and caring. But it's so damn infuriating that he's second guessing everything I've worked so hard on rebuilding."
Hitoshi hummed softly, reaching out and taking Todoroki's hand in his own. "Sho, I can't tell you what to do but he's thinking a lot like an Alpha trying to protect his mate. I know Midoriya loves you and means well. Sometimes Alphas get blinded by their own instincts that they don't realize they are doing more harm than good." The purple haired Omega stated. "Take some time and think about what you see for your future. If you think this relationship with Midoriya can survive or if it's maybe time to stop and think about yourself. You are entitled to your own future and feelings and I'm sure Midoriya would understand that."
Todoroki bit his lip and nodded, feeling tears welling up in his eyes. He was quick to wipe them away with the back of his hand and muttered a quick thank you to Hitoshi before the two went back into the common area. Just as they were walking in, Hawks came in alongside Aizawa to announce the buses had arrived.
"C'mon, let's go." Hitoshi muttered, motioning for Todoroki to follow him.
x
The bus was was loud. The sounds of every one of them talking and laughing filled the air. Dabi sat in the seat at the very back, Hawks residing in the seat next to him as he scrolled through his phone. The former hero didn't say anything to him, rather keeping quiet while looking at his own phone. Hawks' weeks as the interium Class A teacher were soon coming to an end. Dabi was sure once classes actually resumed, it would be Aizawa as their teacher once more.
His own time at U.A. would be coming to a close soon. His last appointment with Recovery Girl revealed that his quirk wasn't damaging his body as severely as it had been before. But he found himself using more restraint then before. No one could explain what happened to him. With Eri's training with the Big Three and Midoriya, they had discovered her quirk could reverse organic materials and people back to a previous state. It didn't answer for why his quirk wasn't damaging his body like it had been before. He could remember the burns he caused to his own skin growing up and training with Endeavor. How even just using it for extended periods of time would burn him. Even his own "death" showed him as much. He had burned himself so severely that his family only found his old jaw bone. He shouldn't even be alive but here he was sitting next to the same students that he had tormented with the League. The same brother he tried to kill as a kid before deciding to protect him rather than hurt him. He never thought he would see the day he would ever be thankful for heroes.
He looked up from his phone momentarily to look around the bus. The entirety of this bus was Class A along with Hawks, Aizawa, All Might, Eri, and the Future Trio. A few seats ahead of him was Shoto sitting next to Bakugou and Hitoshi who were talking to Kaminari, Jirou, and Kirishima. A little from them was the Dekusquad. The other students filled the rest of the seats, talking amongst themselves. Eri was at the front of the bus talking to All Might with a large smile on her face. Aizawa was next to them, with baby Kazuto in his car seat next to them. The Future Trio also took up a seat in the front. Having been brought along for reasons that Dabi didn't know. He was sure it would of been a better idea for the three to stay at U.A. since they were from the future but it was ultimately Aizawa's call. He figured that Aizawa was fishing for answers on why they were there.
His eyes settled on the blonde of the trio. He was talking to the black haired teenager but it was clear as day to him. He had only ever seen photos of him but that was Minato. His son. The same child that he apparently had with Kenzou. Minato let out a hearty laugh to whatever the kid-Kirito- said to him. Dabi found himself smiling at him. From what he could tell, Minato was in his mid-twenties and with the carefree smile he had, Dabi knew he had made a good choice. He wasn't ready to be a parent but Minato deserved a good life. From what he could tell, the boy had gotten it. Though Minato's actions on the battlefield had left him with questions. The blonde hadn't hestitated to join them when they did Prominence Burn, Endeavor's own ultimate move that he had thought to Dabi as a kid and apparently Shoto too. It made him question where Minato was now or where he ended up. Though, all he could ask for was the kid have a chance at life that he didn't have. For the first years of his life, he was in a trafficking ring surrounded by villains. At least now, Dabi had the piece of mind that Minato went down a right path. He was a hero.
He remembered the jacket that Minato had worn. It was all too familiar cause it had been his when he had taken on the identity of Blueflame before becoming Dabi that the world had known from the League of Villains. The cuffs on the ends weren't there but it was the same. Complete down to the stitching at the bottom. Even the boy's hero name had been his alias. Just how much about this kid did he take after Dabi?
Dabi sighed softly, looking back to his phone. Speaking of his identity as Dabi. He had been given back his old phone and his eyes lingered on the screen that was a picture of his former pack mates. Toga had stolen his phone one day and set up the lock screen and home screen as pictures of the League members. Stupid idea but he allowed himself to humor Toga. They had met on the streets after Toga ran away from home after she murdered a classmate. They weren't together long before they ended up at the League but the crazy bitch was his friend he daresay. His time at the League, he had actually found people he could call family. Between the League and arriving at U.A., he realized just how grey the world truely was. It wasn't black and white like the civilians thought. Present Mic originally being a villain. Dabi coming from a hero family. Hawks. The world around them was crumbling but at the same time getting built back up by the same people that Dabi thought would tear it apart.
He clicked the contacts button and his thumb lingered over Shigaraki's name. He wasn't even sure why he was looking anymore. At this point, the League had to of changed numbers since they knew Dabi was at U.A. under supervision of the heroes. At the same time, they had came to U.A. to help the heroes. Which was so un-Shigaraki like. Shigaraki hated heroes and the entire hero society but came to the aid of the same kids he was trying to kill. The same school he was trying to burn to the ground. It didn't make sense but when did anything about Shigaraki actually make sense.
He huffed, locking the phone and sliding it into his pocket. He could feel Hawks' body heat radiating against him. He wouldn't doubt that two had gotten closer since Hawks was brought to U.A. He had been one of the ones to help the former hero when Present Mic brought him drugged and in heat. Dabi had found himself trusting the Winged hero. Even with the false Alpha pheromones. When they first met and Hawks had called himself by his true name, he wasn't sure what he had felt. Hawks admitted to him that Dabi was the first person he had ever said his real name too since he had been taken in by the Hero Commission. Heroes' real names were not something that were just thrown around. They were protected by the hero's chosen name for the public. Hawks was one of those people who never went by their true names. Not like Hawks had a choice anymore either. The blonde Omega had told him what he went through at the Commission. The training, the forcible taking of his true name. Dabi found himself wanting to protect Hawks just as much as he wanted to protect Shoto and now Minato. Even these bunch of misfits that were Class 1-A. Just like he had protected Eri.
It didn't exactly make sense to him but he found himself wanting to be around Hawks more. Hawks had been with him when Aizawa took him to get his procedure to remove his womb and essentially turn into a Beta. He found himself throughout this time being thankful for Hawks. Hawks had been the one who saved Minato from the stronghold of the ring. Taking the boy and the other kids to a safe place at the cost of his wings.
He remembered Eri's tears when Hawks decided to remove the bones out of his back from his quirk. The girl cried and begged for Hawks to allow her to help him. Hawks just had smiled at her and placed a hand on her head. The words still rang in Dabi's head. "Eri, I'm okay. I promise. If anything, this is a blessing for me. I saved children but now I also get to do what I want with my life. Quirk or not. So please, don't cry. I don't have any regrets."
Hawks didn't care that he had lost his wings. Though, Dabi did see him give a sad glance up to the sky every so often. The former hero was so used to flying and being able to just move around at will through the skies. Dabi knew that Hawks missed flying but the other would never say. If Dabi was him, he wouldn't either.
Even with all of the past events, Dabi couldn't stop the tight feeling he got in his stomach every time he heard Hawks laugh or to see him smile. Dabi wanted to be the one who could get those carefree laughs out of him or see the toothy smile. Hawks was a mystery all in his own. His mind and body trained to do social cues even when that wasn't what he truly felt. Dabi wanted Hawks to be able to be himself without a care in the world.
He wanted to ring his fingers through the blonde locks. Fluster him. Anything to see the real Hawks. The real Keigo. He just wasn't sure how long that would be before Hawks could be who he really wanted to be.
Dabi felt his face heating up at the thought. It freaked him out thinking that. Stop acting like a school girl, Touya. He thought, trying to change his train of thought. His gaze moved over to Hawks, who was still blissfully unaware that eyes were trained on him. Dabi felt the flush on his face getting deeper. Oh God no. Don't tell me I'm actually catching feelings for him.
He shook his head, turning away from his seat mate and choosing to stare out the window.
Well, maybe, I could.
x
The excitement only grew as Class A stepped off of the bus and stared at the resort in front of them. The building that housed their rooms was tall with large windows to over look the ocean next to them. A beach wasn't far away from them that they could see people on the sandy shore. The resort was large and they were told had pools, lounges, and more.
The giddiness was cooled down slightly as Aizawa raised his hand to gain their attention. "Remember despite this being a vacation, I do expect you to be on your best behavior while we are here. We will be here for the next week. You still represent U.A. and up and coming heroes." He paused, his eyes settling on Bakugou for a moment. "Try not to break anything." With that, he dismissed them to go into the building where All Might and Hawks had gone ahead to check them in.
Their room keys were passed out, each of them being bunked with another person. Dabi looked at his key number to see it matched Hawks'. Next to him was Shoto who was paired with Bakugou. Hitoshi's was paired with Midoriya. The two males from the Future Trio were bunked together and Koyuki was bunked with Momo. He was kind of surprised that the Future Trio weren't all in one room but he could understand that since Koyuki was a girl, she was placed with another girl.
After a few moments of standing in the lobby, Class B joined them with Vlad and Midnight passing out their key cards. Dabi stopped for a moment, seeing Present Mic also with them. At the same time it didn't shock him to see the disgraced hero here. He was still very much apart of U.A. after all.
"Alright, everyone. Go up to your rooms and get settled. Dinner will be served soon in the lounge." Aizawa called out. With that everyone dispersed and headed towards their respective rooms.
x
It didn't take long before everyone in Class A were in their destinated lounge. Tables were scattered around the room on one side and the other side consisted of couches and TVs. The class opted to settle on the couches until dinner was served. The Future Trio had also joined them along with Aizawa, Hawks, and Present Mic. Baby Kazuto was asleep in a bassinet provided by the resort not far from them.
"Do you think you could tell us a little bit about yourselves?" Mina questioned, looking over to the Future Trio. All three of them looked like deer in headlights from the question.
"Mina!" Jirou hissed, swatting the pink skinned girl on the shoulder.
"It's just a question." Mina whispered back.
Minato chuckled for a moment before sharing a look with Koyuki, who just shrugged at him. "Can't really say much but sure why not?" The blonde Alpha replied, catching every one off guard.
Mina grinned widely. "What's your quirks?" She started.
Minato hummed. "Well the official name of my quirk is Angelic Fire. I produce a really high temperature fire much like Endeavor and Dabi. I can produce flames almost as hot as Dabi's but luckily I don't have the recoil of the fire." He explained. "I also can manipulate my own fire at will even if its not on my body."
Koyuki was the next to go. "By now you guys know I have a time travel quirk. It's called Time Turner. I can do jumps backwards or forwards in time. To go forward in time, I had to be alive turning that time so I can't just jump into the future."
All eyes turned to Kirito, who sighed. "My quirk isn't that great. It's called Lyric. Basically I can either put my opponent into a trance or strengthen my allies. The more people I use it on, the weaker it is." He muttered, his face flushing over.
Soon questions were being thrown at them at once. "Dude, why do you carry swords on you?" Kaminari questioned, from his spot leaning against one of the nearby couches.
Kirito shrugged. "I've always been fasinated with them. Since my quirk isn't exactly practical for fighting, I have to defend myself somehow."
Minato chuckled, leaning back against the couch and throwing his arm over Kirito's shoulder. "Not just fasinated. This kid taught himself how to dual wield heavy ass swords by the time he was twelve. Scared the shit out of Shouta-san when he saw it for the first time." He stopped for a second, pinching Kirito's cheek. "If I didn't know any better, I would literally say his swords were his quirk. He can literally manipulate them to his will."
Koyuki giggled for a moment. "He's not wrong. Once Blueflame and Kirito were training together and mister pryo sent a full blast at Kirito. Kirito blocked by using his freaking sword as a fan. Twisted like a ceiling fan and all."
Kirito's face flushed over as a way of attention moved to him in the form of praises. "How old are you guys?" Asui asked next.
"25." Minato started off.
"23." Koyuki said.
Kirito groaned as Minato gave him a knowing grin. "14."
The students gaped at him. "14? Seriously?!" Kirishima muttered.
"Well I kinda skipped some grades so I'm already in high school but yeah, I'm fourteen." Kirito muttered. He looked over his shoulder to see Aizawa's eyes on him. The man didn't say anything but he knew that look anywhere. He quickly turned his attention back to the others.
A couple more questions were sent their way which they happily answered without giving too much details into the future. Just enough that they knew it wouldn't do harm. Mina was the first to bring up a more personal question in the form of, "So are you guys dating anyone?"
"You could say that." Minato stated, a soft smile forming on hhis lips. "This total spitefire of a woman. She's amazing."
Koyuki felt her own smile form. "I'm actually engaged."
Kirito shook his head. "I'm fourteen. That's a nope from me."
Minato grinned as he pulled his phone from his pocket as he continued to throw teases in Kirito's direction. "Let me show you guys something." Minato stated.
Kirito shrieked, waving his arms in the air. "Absolutely not! Please don't!" Kirito begged. The boy reached for the device in Minato's hand but Minato's height had him beat as he kept it out of reach. The blonde threw his leg over Kirito's arm and lap to keep him pinned down. "Do not make me use my quirk on you!"
"You don't have a license so you can't!" Minato fought back still with the shit-eating grin on his face.
"Says who!?"
"I just did!"
Successfully, Minato got to what he wanted on the phone and it had pulled up a video. Kirito was standing in the middle of the room with a handful of other teenagers. A few kids were in the room standing next to them.
"Hey! That's Kyoka!" Momo exclaimed, pointing to a clear image of an older Kyoka Jirou standing off to the side with a base guitar.
"Wait! That's Kaminari, Bakugou, Tokoyami, and you Momo!" Hagakure added. Sure enough, the older versions of them were in the video. Kaminari and Tokoyami with guitars in hand, Bakugou sitting at the drums, and Momo at a piano.
"Who are those people?" Uraraka asked, pointing to the others next to Kirito.
Minato hummed. "So the girl with strawberry hair is Asuna, the little boy with the same colored hair is Gakushuu." He stopped, pointing another person. "The little kid with red hair is Karma. Off to the side the man with red hair is my best friend L'arc and next to him is his Omega mate, Naofumi. The red haired woman is Kushina. That's Eri-chan over there belive it or not. And finally, that blonde haired kid is Eugeo." He explained. "There are some more people involved but this was for a benefit concert the heroes were hosting to help raise money. Most of the people here aren't involved for what this video is. They were involved with the concert though."
Minato clicked play and a few more teenagers came into the room as the kids moved off to the side along with the woman, Kushina. After a moment the older versions of themselves started to play the song and the teenagers were dancing along to it. Until the blonde, Eugeo started the first chorus and moved through the others before Kirito started the next verse. None of them missed the way that Kirito's face turned a noticable color of pink as Kirito and Eugeo made it to each other. Eugeo took Kirito's hand and twirled the slightly shorter boy into him and they danced along before pushing away from each other to continue. They just continued to watch the video, going through the different people they didn't recognize. The video ended with Kirito tripping over his feet and falling straight into Eugeo, both of them crashing to the floor. Kirito was on top of Eugeo with his face even redder than before. Kirito mumbled an apology before getting up.
The video ended and the Kirito who wasn't in the video was hiding in his face in his hands. "That was not fair!"
"Someone has a crush." Hitoshi teased.
Kirito let out a whine as he looked to Aizawa. "They're being mean to me."
Aizawa just shrugged with a smirk on his face. "A blonde? Should of known."
Kirito just groaned in reply as the rest of the class started to laugh. Before anyone else could say anything, the doors opened to reveal the staff bringing in their dinner. "Saved by the bell!"
x
With dinner over, the students decided to head off to one of the pools in a group and Aizawa retired back to his room. Letting Dabi and Hawks look over his rag tag group of problem children. All Might and Midnight would also be there for back up just in case if Hawks and Dabi got any ideas of their own.
Aizawa sighed softly as he tended to his newborn pup. The door opened once more to reveal Present Mic coming into the room. "Shouta, I have something I want to tell you." Hizashi muttered as the door clicked shut behind him.
Aizawa looked over to him and nodded. Baby Kazuto held firmly in his arms as he slipped onto the bed. "What is it, Hizashi?"
Hizashi took in a deep breath as he sat on the edge of the bed with his back to his former mate. "I'm leaving. When we get back, I'm gonna leave U.A. and be on my own for a while." He stopped, taking in a shaky breath. It was clear to Aizawa he was on the verge of tears. "I don't know how betraying U.A. didn't hurt this bad... I need to find myself. Become the man I need to be so I can be the father I want to be. The teacher I want. I'm so sorry, Shouta."
Aizawa placed Kazuto down onto the bed and slid off, walking until he was in front of Hizashi. "You do what you need to do but just remember the promise you made me."
Hizashi smiled, tears falling out of his eyes and down his cheek. Aizawa reached out, wiping it away with his thumb. "Of course." Hizashi took in the moment of comfortable silence that fell over them. He reached up and placed his hand over Aizawa's with a smile playing on his lips.
