Throughout her life, she was being able to live her life so carelessly. She was what many would want themselves to be. An ideal life, she didn't know how much she liked it.
Every day, she visits to her school, playing with her friends. Every day, she loves to read her younger sister's story books and witness her older brother's unrivalled art. What is her hobby you ask? She liked the basically anything that flies. Be it birds, kites, or aeroplanes. She loved flying as a means of freedom. Every day, she always wore clothes that is always white. She felt that brightness of this world is shined upon her towards her future.
But everything must come with a responsibility. Life does not always work that way. When will she learn that lesson?
She came across one of her brother's works. This flowerpot has a man climbing on an endless staircase.
"Brother, what is this?"
"This is my story of a foolish historian who sought to know of all knowledge in this world..."
He continued to tell his tale until she noticed something wrong with this work. Its porcelain material has it cracks all around the work.
"But it is damaged... How does it show anything to what you say?"
"Trust me, it is not broken..."
She never took her brother's advice. She dismissed it as his representation for his well-drawn work.

One day, her younger sister had caught in a mysterious but terminal illness. Doctors has told her older brother and her about their youngest sibling's fate.
She will die
She will be alone
She will die alone
But, this is not her younger sister's story.
She cried at this tragic fate. Why... why death ruin this life of hers? Her life is wasted, fallen into illness. She acknowledged that death is inevitable, but one should have a perfect end too.
"Brother… should we tell her?"
"No… she may not rest peacefully if we tell her?"
"She has the right to know but...is that right to hide it?"
They never told her in the end. Her younger sibling's consciousness faded and vanished. She was at least assured that despite her life cut short, her end was perfectly peaceful.
The remaining 2 siblings are in despair. Now, she has failed in her ideal life, lost her ideal life. It's no longer perfect. It was missing which will never be found ever again. How do we replace this missing part of an ideal world?
Her previously worn white dress, now no longer suited her. She found a colour that represented her. Black. Black to represent her endurance through the pain of death. She needed to have it to become perfect. The darkness to hide away any flaw that happened to her. She will remain perfect. To do that, she must now wipe away what she was and make another perfect her.
As for her brother, he has decided to change his name. His identity of the once happy older brother is dead. He died along with her younger sister. His new identity…, he just wants to protect her. His previous responsibility was to ensure a bright and happy future for both of his sisters. Now, his responsibility is to not lose his remaining sister.
The ideal and completeness is broken. The ideal life is gone. But she can still achieve perfection. She can fix her ruined perfection.
...She couldn't...
She really couldn't
She tried to fix perfection. She still is not perfect. Never was she ever perfect again, ever since she is gone. Tenniel was blind to her obsession. Or perhaps, nobody knew about it. Maybe she hid it too perfectly. A sign, a chance, to be perfect, nonetheless. If nobody knows, she can still be perfect.
(Music Ends)
Months came by, she met a boy that interested her. He seemed to be as ideal as her previously. But he is also perfect. His looks are perfect and ideal. His personality is perfect and ideal. His everything is perfect and ideal. She must seek him out. Maybe he can perfect and ideal her. Maybe he can fix her.
She approached him, asked for his name. What an ideal name for a perfect person. His voice is also thrillingly perfect. She told her perfectly gentle name, Sophia, to him.
"What a perfect meeting", she thought.
Whenever she was with him, it reminded her of the perfect moments she had. But it was different. It's not her perfection but his perfection. Regardless, she intends to know him more.
As for him, she was an interesting girl. She seemed the opposite of his stepsister. Sophia is extroverted while his stepsister is not. Sophia is more social while his stepsister is a shut-in although this is understandable for the latter's case. Sophia is-
No, that's enough comparing. Let's focus on her.
He has grown to be attracted to Sophia's hobbies as it aligned with his own as well. He liked to skate around the ice ring, she liked it too. He liked racing and so does she.
After the times they have spent with each other, she was not disappointed with him. He was always perfect. Never flawed around him. Not just that, but she liked him as well. But is she perfect enough for him? She cannot be any sort of flaw to him. Until the day where she is as perfect as him. Until the day she is as ideal as him, she cannot say it out. Every single day he has called her out, she always felt that she is the one who is unworthy of him but yet it's her chance to be more perfect.
As for him, he is grown attracted to her, she is lifelike, gentle, beautiful. He wants to confess to her. But is it appropriate now? Does he deserve her? Not only that, will he abandon his only family that he made? He is a single child who never had his parents and miraculously found a stepsister, one that he loves as a sibling.
Another meeting came by when both realized their feelings to each other but not told to the other, there was silence, none were aware of the other's internal battles. This is where she has decided to make things simple to rectify this silence. After all, this is her school's dismissal time and they just met in a cafe.
'How's today?" she started the conversion with a simple question.
"Today is troubling… I tried to get used to this song on a piano."
"Let's hear it then. We'll see how far you progressed"
He put down his music sheet onto the piano as he starts playing. One after another. While he has not mastered the rhythm and pacing, she, herself, thinks that it is perfect. This was only based on her lack of experience in music, as she was still a freshman in music. Perfect execution. What could he have done better? He was masterful although being modest about his abilities. He will become the very best musician one day, the very pinnacle of music himself.
Unfortunately for her, he is not as perfect or ideal as she thought. Nothing is perfect. Ideal and perfection is an illusion that she has made onto him. One day, the reality will prove to her, prove to her that there is no such thing as perfection or ideal. This a dream that disappoints those who are foolish enough for one such as her to think it exists.
That very day came for her when he asked her to meet his stepsister.
This is where everything begins.

(Read A-7 first before unlocking A-8!)
A/N: A-8 directly continues from there. A-6 and A-7 covers Hikari's and Tairitsu's past lives separately before they met each other. Everyone's names in this chapter are hidden because it is a spoiler. I hope you read A-7 before reading A-8 because this is a double upload.
