A/n: Hey y'all. Very late update. Got deadlines up everywhere. Sorry for the delay. Hopefully, I could update faster this week.

I do not own RWBY or AdventureQuest Worlds.

The girl dreamed.

An ancient war of vampire royalty and lycan clans. Blood and betrayal. A hatred between two species spanning millennia. A dragon cruelly twisted beyond its form, and turned into a weapon against order. The Dracowerepyre roared versus the young black haired warrior standing before it.

The warlord before the young hero, whose rage hides his sorrow from isolation, is killed not by his sword, but by a hunter who had made the decision for him. The world was made a little safer, the hunter, said.

Everyone, but Wolfwing. The Hero replied.

The Witch watched as the man in black performed a healing spell. An honest to goodness Healing spell.

"So this is the magic user." Salem said with a frown on her face. "It seems he's already become one of Ozpin's pawns. But maybe…" She smiled.

The Wyvern took to the air and launched a glob of black liquid at the people below, who dodge it all. More Grimm came out, and the attack continued.

]|[

"This Grimm horde is not thinning at all!" Weiss yelled. She was stuck slicing apart the Creeps and Beowolves swarming on the ground, trying to get to the adventurer, who was shooting at the Wyvern circling overhead with Fire Bolts. "We have to try something else! I'm running out of Dust!"

"We need to lure that big lug down back here, somehow? What can attract Grimm?" He asked his two assistants.

Ruby, who had been shooting at the Wyvern with her rifle as well, answered back. "Negativity? How do we make more of that?"

"What's negativity mean?" Johnny asked. "Bad thoughts and feelings!" Weiss answered between slashes. "Considering we're already at a riot, the wyvern should be on us right now, but something is keeping it up there!"

What exactly did he have on him right now that is chockful of bad thoughts? Well, there's always the Sword…

No, no. They just need a lure, not something that'll bury them in Grimm. But was that really it, though? Besides luring it in, it's not as if they had something that could drag it back to the g—oh. Oh. Johnny had an idea.

"Right. I know what to do." Johnny steeled himself. Grimm was still charging them from all sides. He clicked his tongue, and pushed them all back with a Furious Gale. Ruby and Weiss launched themselves at the stunned Grimm, cutting them apart. "I need some space, ladies! I'm going to drag that lizard back down here!"

"How?!" Weiss shouted, not even bothering to look back. Ruby shook her head. "Whatever it is, just do it fast! WE aren't going to last long like this!" The black haired reaper shouted back.

"Coming right up! Kneel before the Nation!" Johnny shouted, and beside him, a black void opened up, chains appearing, the chains that bind his soul to the Archfiend. A red katana and a red greatsword on its ends, launching to the wyvern flying overhead. It roared, trying to bat at the swords trying to latch on to it. The swords would not be denied, and dug itself deep into the black hide of the wyvern, drinking deep into the black blood within it. Johnny wrapped the chains around his arms, and pulled. With the might of Ancestor's Strength behind it, he heaved and jerked his elbows, the chains whipping around and lassoing to the neck of the wyvern. It screeched and beat its wings harder, trying to instead pull the adventurer with it to the air.

"Oh damnit! Nononono!" Johnny swore, as HE began to be pulled into the air.

"Oh no! Mister!" Ruby shouted. She blitzed back to Johnny, and using her other arm, she held on to the chains, and changed her scythe back to rifle form. She shot at the wyvern, using the recoil to launch her and the adventurer backwards, dragging the wyvern to them.

The Grimm, seeing the two preoccupied, charged at them with howls of rage. Weiss used a glyph to speed herself up, and blitz through the oncoming hoard, slashing them to pieces with her rapier.

"This is not going to work!" Weiss said. She was right. Ruby and Johnny were barely enough just moving the wyvern, who was still thrashing around in the air. Both of them are too preoccupied and left Weiss alone to deal with the smaller Grimm around. "We need more people!"

"Then it's a good thing we're here!" A voice said. An orange blur exploded from behind them and

launched herself hammer first into the black tide of Grimm.

"Nora!" Ruby yelled happily.

"Hey guys!" She yelled back. "Cavalry's here! Whole of Beacon have arrived to BREAK SOME LEGS!" Nora pointed above her, to the students and professors jumping off the Bullheads as backup. Jaune himself waved at them, before being grabbed by his red-headed partner who wrapped her arms around him, jumping down, with the blonde leader screaming all the way.

Johnny looked around. Lots of people now dropping in. He had an idea. "Ruby!" He told the girl. "Have your classmates help us ground this lizard! You there!" He shouted at the still berserk Nora. "Help me pull this chain!"

Ruby blitzed off. Nora transformed Magnhild back to its grenade launcher form and placed it on her back, and with the strength she has hefting a massive hammer in combat, pulled on the chain. The wyvern actually squawked in surprise, but kept beating harder to stay aloft.

"We're not enough!" Johnny yelled. He screamed, and opened more portals to the void, launching more and more chains and swords around the Grimm. Ruby gasped, seeing the beautiful arsenal of weapons soaring through the sky, eyes wide in awe. Each of the weapons were beautiful. Each of them felt bloodthirsty. Angry. They circled around the wyvern, chains trailing them, almost encasing the wyvern in a cocoon of metal. The wyvern roared in irritation. The swords dug into the lizard, spilling more of the black ichor into the ground. New Grimm spawned, but this time, there were more people to slaughter them.

The Grimm glowed a bright violet, and was promptly smashed together, squeezed in a telekinetic grip. "I'll keep the Grimm off you. Do it!" Glynda yelled. The rest of the professors who had arrived at the battlefield with their students started to hold back the newer spawned monsters.

"Ruby now!" The adventurer yelled, him and Nora straining against the beast. Ruby snapped out of her fantasizing of the weapons and got back into the game.

"Guys! Pull the chains! Those who can't, shoot the wyvern out of the air!" Ruby shouted the command to her allies.

The students and some professors understood immediately the plan. Everyone got a hold of the chains and pulled.

"C'mon boys! Pull this lizard to the ground!" Cardin Winchester yelled to his team. RDL of the team growled and pulled harder with their leader. "Stop being bitches and PULL!" The boys roared agreement and dug in.

Nearby, TEAM SSSN got ahold of one of the chains. Sun used his semblance to generate his clones to help pull with them.

Pyrrha, deciding something within herself, raised her hands. Black aura enveloped the chains around her. Gritting her teeth in concentration, she began to use her semblance to drag the chains toward her, the chains pulled by a powerful magnetic force. This time to wyvern felt the pull, and not even the beating of its great wings could stop its descent. Her partner was beside her, keeping the Grimm from touching her as she concentrated on dragging the great Grimm down. Pyrrha smiled at Jaune protecting her. My hero. She thought.

"Who is that?" Johnny asked the orange haired girl pulling with him. She smiled a huge grin at him. "That's Pyrrha! My friend!" She said. "She's very, very strong!"

The Grimm tried to stop the students, but the professors were already there to destroy them before they could even touch any. Port cut in two a griffon attempting to charge Coco Adel, who was raining bullets on the wyvern with her minigun. He flipped the weapon over, and used the blunderbuss to clear the charging Creeps. The rest of Team CFVY pulled on the chains.

Oobleck incinerated the rest of the Grimm with his weapon. He jumped, landing on a Nevermore, and used it as a mount, smashing the Grimm around it with his staff. He then used the end of the staff to impale the head of the Grimm bird, and it screeched in pain, losing control of its body. It crashed into the horde of Grimm that just spawned in the black pools.

Glynda Goodwitch's showed her why her fearsome reputation was earned. Purple bolts of energy struck the wyvern, weakening it. With a flick of her riding crop, the clouds above the wyvern and the swarm of Grimm around them darkened, and great shards of ice rained from above, perforating the wings of the wyvern, and impaling the flying Grimm around them. In a testament to her great control of her powers, not one student were harmed by her attack, only the Grimm around them.

"Oh wow." Johnny laughed. "Glynda's real strong too! That was awesome!" He cheered. He smiled at the wyvern now slowly crashing back down to the ground. "Time to end this! Pull! Pull as hard as you can now!" He yelled at the others helping him drag the great lizard down. They all roared, doubling the strength of their pull.

"Heave!" Johnny screamed. Everyone shouted as one and pulled.

"Heave!" Pull. The wyvern roared in anger, and everyone responded in kind.

"NOW!" The adventurer screamed, "I am a soul bent on destruction!" The great Grimm crashed on the ground, crushing the Grimm beneath it, and Johnny leapt on the chains, charging at the wyvern thrashing on the street, his katana at the ready. "Hit it with everything you've got!" He yelled, channeling a prayer of Harmony, empowering all his allies.

Everyone charged at the thrashing wyvern, rage-filled.

At the other side of the battlefield…

While her opponent was slightly stunned by the appearance of a fucking wyvern Grimm, Beatrice Astraluna charged at the Schnee, audaciously punching the summoned Manticore in the face with an aura enhanced punch. When it flinched, the crazed White Fang jumped in its head, and grabbed at Winter with her left hand. Winter barely had the time to fend the woman off, and used her weapon to slash at Beatrice. Unfortunately for her, Beatrice was defended from such attacks with her semblance. Her trusted weapon, with her for many years in her service, rusted away into dust, as soon as it even neared Beatrice. Only the dust cartridges hidden within the blades remained, settling on Winter's palms. Her eyes widened in horror.

"Dumbass!" Beatrice laughed. Winter grabbed Beatrice's throat, but she felt herself slowly weakening. The hold Beatrice had on her arm was slowly draining her away! Winter, in a panic, crushed the dust cartridges in her hand and formed a black glyph, pushing Beatrice away with the gravity dust.

Losing concentration, the Manticore vanished, and the specialist fell to the ground. It was not what concerned her however. She stared at her left arm. It was shaking terribly. She could not let Beatrice drain her like that again. She stared at the White Fang she sent tumbling away. Her…disgusting powers almost seemed to only work within a short range, but she cannot assume too much here. A mistake could mean life and death.

Beatrice tumbling through the pavement, stabbed her wand deep into the concrete, stabilizing herself. She stood up and sized up her opponent, who was doing the same. Each was destructive in a short range, but the summons of the Schnee would make this fight tricky. She needs to break her aura, and fast.

Fortunately, Beatrice has a few tricks up her sleeve. She used her wand, the star on the end glowing a little bit, and smoke poured out from it, spraying everywhere in front of Beatrice. Winter's view was obscured, and she quickly sifted through whatever remaining Dust cartridge in her palm. Crushing the Wind Dust cartridge, she channeled its powers to blow away the smoke.

It was a distraction, an arm was on her arm, and someone from behind her smashed Winter across the face with the butt of the rifle. Winter dropped the rest of the cartridges in her hand. The smoke cleared, the Wind Dust doing its job. Winter looked behind her, scrambling who had ambushed her, expecting Beatrice's snarling face. It was not. Lieutenant Banks, holding his rifle like a bat, stared at her blankly, shuffling on his feet like a mindless puppet.

The strangeness of the ill-timed betrayal stunned Winter. She paid for that distraction again when Beatrice appeared and kicked the specialist to her face.

Winter, already tired from dealing with both Neo and Cinder in the VPD, got her aura broken. She grit her teeth. Lieutenant Banks grabbed her hair and raised it up to face her with Beatrice, who was smiling at her cruelly. Winter was not concerned with her. "Lieutenant Banks!" She hissed through her teeth in pain. "What is the meaning of this?!"

The lieutenant didn't answer. Beatrice's smile grew even further. "What's wrong Schnee?" She taunted. "Can't do anything without relying on someone else? Typical." Beatrice backhanded her across the face. "Always using other people to do things for them." The wand smashed her nose, busting it, sending blood leaking through. "You disgust me. You even joined the Atlas Military, as if you weren't punishing MY people enough already. Joining the people that had been so thoroughly been abusing all Faunuskind. I guess being an oppressor really does run in your veins, doesn't it Schnee?" Lieutenant Banks behind her smashed Winter's head to the ground. The pain was beginning to get to the specialist, and she felt her skull fracture as it hit the pavement. She forced herself to roll on her back and look at them.

Lieutenant Banks stared at her blankly, rifle hanging limply in his hands. A crowd of people were moving towards where she lied. All of them with blank stares; blank gazes and limbs hanging loosely like puppets waiting for their strings to get tugged. It was mixed: some White Fang members with injuries far too grievous for them to even be moving properly, some her fellow Atlas soldiers bruised and battered from the fighting. They all had the same thing though, they were all moving far too synchronized to be moving of their own accord.

Which meant…

"You…" Winter hissed through her pain. "You've taken their wills away. You're disgusting. And you have the audacity to call me an 'oppressor'?"

"Smart girl. Won't help you." Beatrice told her smugly. She raised her foot and stomped on Winter's right arm. Winter screamed in pain. "The White Fang you see here? They know what they're in for. They will keep fighting to the last breath. Until their own bodies are torn apart, and even after death, they donate their bodies for the greater good. Your soldiers?" Beatrice smiled. She twisted her foot, crushing Winter's limb further, and used her semblance to slowly and painfully drain it away. "They deserve to have their wills taken."

Beatrice gestured for a soldier to step forward. With a wave of her hand, the Atlas soldier reached for his sidearm, and pointed it at his temple. "They only deserve death." Beatrice said. The soldier pulled the trigger, blowing his brains out.

"Stop!" Winter screamed. Beatrice only smiled further, and stomped on her arm harder, making her cry out in pain.

"They deserve it, for supporting a regime so steeped in the suffering of MY people." Another stepped forward, a Faunus woman. The soldier took out a knife. Beatrice glared at the woman with distaste. "Willful traitor, this one. She dies, for turning against her own people, knowing what YOU did, and still joining you." The woman slowly slit her own throat, choking in her own blood. Winter struggled harder, even as her strength left her body, as she wasted away under Beatrice's semblance.

Another stepped forward, a police officer of Vale, a man. He used his pistol to shoot himself through the mouth. Again and again, Beatrice ordered them to kill themselves, all of them unaware of their own actions.

"WAKE UP!" Winter shouted at her comrades desperately. None of them moved. "DON'T GIVE IN TO HER! FIGHT BACK!"

"They won't." Beatrice laughed darkly. "They are being controlled down to the level of their brain activity and cellular level. They're just sacks of flesh under me now." The terrorist looked at Lieutenant Banks. "Lift her up." She said. The lieutenant dragged the squirming Winter by the hair and up to her feet. Beatrice traced her hands on the arm she was stepping on before. "You… I won't turn you into my puppet, but I've always wanted a doll." She caressed Winter's slowly paling skin. "Keep you in my bed to warm it, eh?" She gripped the arm hard. "Of course, you won't need these for that."

With a hard yank, Beatrice used her semblance on Winter's arm, and pulled it off. Winter screamed, the pain blanking her mind. The limb on the terrorist's hand was slowly turning to dust in her touch. "I suppose you won't need this too." She plucked out one of Winter's eyes. The specialist was now hoarse from the torture she was being subject to. She passed out, breaths ragged and beaten.

"Haha! Didn't think she would break that easy!" Beatrice said to herself amusedly. "I suppose I'll have to carry her back to base." She looked at the lieutenant under her control. "I know! You carry her. I'll just keep you as well!" She rubbed the lieutenant's face. "You were so brave out there, little boy. So strong! Kept killing my men so fast that I panicked!" She smiled. "You'd make a good pet."

"Get away from her you bitch!" Someone yelled. Beatrice turned to see Blake shoot at her with her weapon, the bullets failing to even touch her as the bullets rusted away to nothing. Blake undeterred, charged at Beatrice with her cleaver, Beatrice didn't move, but it was a feint. The image of Blake with her cleaver raised was frozen, and the real Blake sliced from above with her katana. Beatrice narrowed her eyes, and didn't move, daring the girl to do it.

It was a double feint. The clone of Blake exploded with an icy blast, nearly freezing Beatrice, and sent shards of ice everywhere. Beatrice hissed in surprise. Blake was not the only one that came however.

Yang grabbed the unconscious Schnee from Lieutenant Banks' grip. Beatrice snarled. "Oh no you don't you little rat!" She aimed her wand at Yang's running form, aiming her semblance. Yang felt weaker, and her heart pumped a little more erratically, but she was fine. The controlled people started to shuffle to her, trying to get Winter back.

"Yang! Get her to safety!" Blake told her partner. Yang didn't turn back, and focused on dodging the crowd, punching and kicking some out of the way while carrying Winter. She can't use Ember Celica as there were soldiers and police officers mixed with the crowd. The blonde grit her teeth, trying not to get buried in the bodies trying to dogpile her. "Move, move, MOVE!" She shouted, struggling to escape the crowd.

"Blake Belladonna!" Beatrice shouted, turning her attention to the cat faunus. Blake focused on longer ranged attacks. She knew Beatrice Astraluna's powerful semblance: something relating to liquid control. The woman was so powerful and masterful with her use of her semblance, combined with a deep knowledge of medicine, that she was able to use it to control people. But, even it had its limits.

So long as I don't get with short range of her, Blake thought, slashing a wave of light at Beatrice who dodged it easily, she can't destroy my weapon or kill me.

"You dare show your face here?! Where was your love for our people, Blake!" Beatrice shouted. She pointed her wand at Blake, shooting a great gout of flame at her form. Blake avoided it all, jumping over the flames, shooting at Beatrice with her pistol. The bullets rusted away, like before.

"Useless! Just like you, Blake! Is this all you can do?! Just run away?!" She screamed. Beatrice pointed her wand again, this time using her semblance.

"Aaagh!" Blake shouted. Her legs weakened as a lancing, sharp pain erupted in her chest. Beatrice was somehow using her semblance to disturb her heart rate! She kept running, even though her heart was beating erratically.

"Wanna know how a heart fails? When the body doesn't feel enough blood flowing through it, the heart pumps harder and harder, trying to get more blood to the rest of the body. What if then, if the blood just dams up in your heart and lungs?" Beatrice smiled cruelly.

Her defenses are insane! Blake tried to come up with something! She grit her teeth in effort, even as her legs felt number and number. I need to overcome her senses! It'll take a bit of aura, but-!

She zipped near Beatrice, slashing with her katana, and as predicted, Beatrice raised her arms to rust the weapon away. It was a feint. Blake left her clone, and used all her lightning Dust on it, creating-!

Crack-boom! An explosion of bright and angry lightning, generating a small thunderclap. Blake gnashed her teeth in pain, as the loud sound nearly deafened her after her earlier exposure to that man, but Beatrice, standing literally next to the lightning bolt, had it worse.

"Aaaaarrrghh!" Beatrice screamed. The lightning had blinded and deafened her, not to mention the huge amount of voltage now flowing through her body. The lightning also had another effect, throwing the natural voltage of her heart out of rhythm and leaving the muscle to spasm violently. She lost focus for a bit, and all her controlled puppets fell on the ground, limp and unconscious.

Yang took advantage of this and ran, still carrying the tortured Winter to relative safety.

Powered by her own rage, Beatrice tightened her grip on her wand and forced all her strength to move against the violent contractions of her own body. She pointed her wand at her own chest, and activated it.

Blake stared in horror as Beatrice Astraluna shocked her own heart back into rhythm. Her one gamble to defeat Beatrice was now gone, and unless she can pull that again somehow, she wouldn't be able to stop her.

Eyes still seeing white, and ears ringing, Beatrice stood up, laughing as her stunt just saved her life. "Now then, Blake. Let me remind you of what we do to traitors in the White Fang!" She snarled.

Cinder skidded along the ground. She dragged her hand along the concrete and superheated it, causing explosions, covering her from Qrow's assault. Dust kicked up, and Qrow transformed his broadsword into its shotgun form, and blasted slugs across the smoke. From within, sharp shards of glass launched towards him, and Qrow shot most of it out of the air, and deflected the rest with the blade of his weapon.

Distantly, from their alleyway, the two heard the roar of the wyvern and the sound of clashing steel. "You aren't going to help them, huntsman?" Cinder said with a smile. "Your comrades won't be able to handle all that Grimm."

"Normally I'd fall for that kinda stuff." Qrow said. He transformed his broadsword into a scythe. "But there's someone out there that would keep them safe." I hope. Qrow thought of the black capped man that pushed into their agendas recently.

Without warning, Qrow flew in, a whirling bladed motion, and Cinder brought up from around the huntsman, spikes of glass made from the dust from the explosion. Qrow recklessly crashed through it, ignoring the glass. Cinder expected it, and caught him with a black sword to the face.

Qrow quickly brought the shaft of the scythe to block. Cinder forced a kick to his midsection that sent Qrow stumbling back with a grunt, and she followed by sliding her hands to the glass of the windows nearby, breaking it apart. The superheated shards of glass launched toward Qrow, who transformed his scythe back into broadsword mode and deflected everything again.

Unfortunately for Cinder, one of the shards ricocheted back to her, and she deflected with her own sword, and Qrow capitalized immediately with quick slashes. The flurry sent Cinder stumbling back, and unfortunately for her, tripped on a random empty soda can in the street. Qrow smashed downwards, and Cinder grit her teeth as she barely had the time to block again.

"You trip on something? Must be your unlucky day!" Qrow kneed Cinder in the face, launching her backwards. Cinder did not have the time to recover, bullets raining down on her from the shotgun. Cinder blocked as much as she could, and was promptly kicked in the face for her efforts.

Unfortunately for her, she also landed on the garbage bins, causing Qrow to chuckle a bit.

"ENOUGH!" Cinder drew upon the fall maiden's power, magic pouring out of her eye. She conjured her black bow and launched three Dust infused arrows, and Qrow had to dodge. The arrows exploded upon contact, cracking the stone walls of the building of the alleyway. Cinder focused again, and a plume of fire exploded near Qrow's feet, like a serpent rising from the ocean, and tried to engulf him within.

"This power you stole from her. I'm going to take it back." Qrow said coldly, and charged into the inferno. With the momentum from beneath, he slashed upwards, seeking to bisect the woman with his sword. Cinder blocked with her sword, now gleaming with fire, and parried it to the side. Cinder punched with a flaming hand, but Qrow let the punch ride, sliding to Cinder's side, while simultaneously pushing her away with his sword still on hers.

Unfortunately for Cinder, her fist hit the fire escape ladder she was going to exit from. Her burning fist melted through the steel ladder, and Qrow batted her flaming self away into the frames of the structure, causing it to collapse on her.

It was times like that when Qrow appreciated his semblance. And speaking of fortunes…

He looked up, and saw the roar of airship engines flying overhead. Ol' tin man finally came through.

Cinder seethed, burning up beneath the mass of metal, melting it into slag around her. Qrow smirked at his target.

Things were looking up.

Ironwood led the airships straight into the swarms of Grimm on the skies, leading to an aerial battle. Hundreds and thousands of bullets shredded through the creatures. The attack scattered the flying Grimm, easing up the pressure of the ground units.

"Keep the Grimm off the students. I'm going in." Ironwood commanded to all aerial units, and he jumped out of his airship, intent on helping on the fighting down below.

]|[

The wyvern was being pelted on all sides by the students and professors alike.

"Like insects, swarming over a fallen morsel." Salem mused. She spread her senses over the entire battlefield. The misery of the White Fang fighting, and the soldiers and officers that had to pick up the work. The students, frightened out of their minds from the chaos all around them that seemed to never end. The professors, burning with fury over the things their students were being put through.

But this one…This warrior. So much like the Ozma that saved her from the tower. Powerful, and good. He had seen their kind, time and time again. Their good had led her to become this. Their faith to their gods, their good rule, their mission to guide the people of Remnant into peace?

It was hell. All of it. Paved with the good intentions of good men. So intent on saving others. The problem with saving other people, is that some people are left behind. Others live in the light, so that some would die in the dark.

She hated them. She hated them so much it was unreal. She hated them so much she would burn the world down and seek the brothers again, to end all their suffering, forever. In the end, death is the ultimate equalizer.

She would at least talk to the man. Never let it be said that she was an unreasonable villain.
