FPS PART01
Goren felt his cell phone vibrating in his pocket.
He took it out and opened it.
He discovered a message from Eames, and his heart beat violently in his chest.
It meant that the baby had finally arrived.
- Call her... Bishop took the file from Goren's hands. I'll do the paperwork.
Goren looked wordlessly at Bishop, who was already walking away.
He would have to thank her later.
He opened the message, and read it.
He posted a big smile on his face, and turned to Carver.
- He makes 3kilos400...
Carver smiles, tenderized.
So Eames had made a little boy...
This did not surprise Carver.
This little female inspector was as imposing as his partner, who was two heads taller than her.
Goren stored his phone into his pocket, and headed for the courthouse exit, followed by Carver.
Damn it...
Goren had to control himself, and not to hurry too much.
Otherwise Carver would find his attitude odd.
But Goren was so excited.
And he had only one hurry...
To be with Eames, and their children.
A little boy of 3kilos400.
Arriving in front of Eames' room, Goren stopped and took a deep breath before entering the room.
He was excited...
But so anxious.
He was a little apprehensive.
How would it go.
This was his first time as a father.
And he wasn't sure what to do.
Goren pulled himself together, opened the door, entered the room, and stopped, as if forbidden, in front of the scene that was unfolding before his eyes.
Eames was sitting on the bed, holding this new life in her arms, rocking it, and singing a little song to it, her face shining with adoration.
Damn it...
Goren didn't know what to do.
He didn't want to stop this scene.
Should he stay there...
And wait.
Eames sensed that she was being watched, she raised her head, looked towards the door, and her gaze fell on Goren, and she put a big smile on her lips, which lit up her whole face.
- You're going to stay here...
At her words, Goren shook his head in denial, and walked slowly forward.
Eames took the baby's hand in his, and lowered his face to hers, his golden hair cascading down.
The baby brought his little hand to his golden hair, and grabbed a clump of hair with his little fingers, clutching it in his little fist.
- Your daddy is a little strange... The baby babbled, posted on a big smile. But you'll soon get used to it.
A little weird...
He had heard right.
Why would Eames say she that to his child.
He knew he was a little strange.
And what was that...
This baby smiling when she told him that.
At believe he was happy to hear that his daddy was weird.
My God...
Had he made a child as weird as he was.
Goren took a deep breath, his heart pounding violently in his chest, as he walked towards Eames and the baby.
Arrived at their height, Eames looked up at him, and his eyes were drawn to something behind his back, something Goren was hiding.
A bouquet of flowers...
Eames felt an immense tenderness to spread out in her.
Goren had brought her a bouquet of flowers.
It was so cute.
But what excuse was he going to give her...
She knew him too well...
And Eames knew that he would be embarrassed...
And that he would invent anything and everything...
Especially not to recognize that he had wanted to pleasure her.
Anything as long as she didn't realize his kind attention.
It was a pity...
Eames loved the thoughtfulness of Goren...
And she regretted that he hid it.
- This is for me...
At her words, Goren blushed violently, looked away.
He took the bouquet of flowers out of his back, which was none other than pink tulips, Eames' favorite flowers, and went to put it on the bedside table.
He didn't want to risk their child having allergies...
Because the pollen was very allergenic.
- I found it...
Oh the liar...
But of course...
Goren had stumbled upon his favorite flowers by chance.
But yes...
She was going to believe him.
- But yes...
Goren put his hand behind his neck, not daring to look at her, his face scarlet.
Eames looked at her child, smiled.
- You want to take him...
At his words, Goren turned his gaze to Eames, who gave him a small smile, encouraging him.
Goren didn't know what to do...
Should he really take his child in his arms?
Didn't he risk hurting him.
- He risks nothing with you… Eames wrapped his child in his blanket and handed him to Goren. You are his father...
Goren looked at the child.
He was really so small.
And an accident could happen quickly.
- Don't be afraid... Goren took his eyes off the baby and put them on Eames, meeting his hazel eyes that shone with softness. You're a very gentle person... Eames blushed violently. And I know what I mean.
At his words, Goren turned completely scarlet.
He could see what Eames was referring to.
But it was totally different...
He was a baby...
And he had to be extra careful.
- You don't want to...
At the sad intonation of Eames' voice, Goren knew he had just hurt her, hesitating to take her child in his arms.
It wasn't that he didn't want to...
But he was so afraid...
Fear of hurting his child.
But that sorrow that showed on the features of Eames' face, and gave him the courage to take his child.
He did not want to hurt Eames.
He was happy to have a child.
And he wanted to show him.
With gentleness, he took the baby in his arms, and came to sit beside Eames.
And as soon as he squeezed his child close to him, an immense pride, doubled with tenderness rose in him.
This little being was his child.
The little being moved, put a big smile on his little lips, twittering, and clenched his fists.
- He is happy to be in his father's arms...
Goren was startled, blushing violently as he felt Eames' head rest against his shoulder, and her small, well rounded breasts brush against his back.
Goren's whole body burst into flames.
But he pulled himself together.
This was not the place...
Nor the location...
To think about this kind of thing.
But feeling Eames' small breasts against his back, was a real torture.
Damn it...
He had to calm down.
- You didn't notice anything...
Goren felt his blood boil in his veins.
Oh yes,
I did...
He did notice something...
Eames' lips were brushing his ear, and he could feel Eames' breath on his neck.
He burst into flames.
It was enough to make him lose his mind.
He took a deep breath and turned his face towards her, shaking his head in denial.
What did she want him to notice...
Except that she was too close to him.
And that her body was reacting.
Eames brought her hand to the baby's little ebony curls, caressed them with infinite softness.
- He has your curls... Eames smiled tenderly, and let her fingers slide down the baby's face, and stopped them at the corner of his little lips. And your dimples...
Goren couldn't take his eyes off Eames.
Damn it...
She was so pretty.
And that sweetness she had for their child.
- Are you listening to me...
At her words, Goren snapped out of his thoughts, and looked at the baby's face.
Trying to remember what Eames had told him.
His curls...
His dimples...
Goren analyzed the baby's features carefully...
Eames was right about those two details...
But for the rest...
He was all Eames.
- We have done it well this little boy...
Goren smiled, tenderized, his gaze going from Eames to his son.
Yes...
Goren had to admit that their child was successful.
Finally something in his life he could be proud of.
And this achievement he owed to Eames...
The woman he loved.
And to think that he had not stopped secretly jealous of his child who monopolize his mother.
And because of him...
He had found himself with a new partner.
But now...
He realized that it was worth it.
Their little boy was simply beautiful.
But his heart sank.
He could never say that this child was his.
Otherwise he would have to say goodbye to his partnership with Eames.
And he didn't want that.
Gently, Goren ported into his pocket, and pulled out a small box, which he handed to Eames.
- What's this...
Eames looked at the small box Goren handed him curiously.
Eames did not expect to receive a gift.
His son was his greatest gift.
Goren put the case in his fingers.
- Open it and you will be...
With trembling fingers, Eames opened the case and her eyes lit up with wonder.
She brought her fingers to the jewel, caressed it gently.
A silver necklace with a small diamond cross.
My God...
It was too beautiful.
And too expensive for her.
Why had he given her such an expensive gift...
He didn't need to do that.
- It's too much...
Too much...
Nothing was too much for Eames.
He had seen that little diamond cross, and he had immediately thought of Eames.
Emaes was for him like the most beautiful diamond.
She was so precious to him.
And this jewel showed him how much he cared for her.
- You don't like...
Eames raised his head, and looked at him.
- On the contrary...
How to make Goren understand that she loved his gift...
But that it was far too expensive.
He should never have spent so much.
Especially for her.
- That's the price...
The price...
Goren smiled, tenderized.
So this was what Eames was worried about.
Goren knew that Eames was a very simple woman.
And that's what he liked about her.
- Don't worry... He brought his hand to her cheek, caressed it with infinite softness. Just accept it...
At his words, Eames nodded, tears welling up in his big hazel eyes, veiling his sight.
At Eames' tears, Goren's heart sank.
Had he done something wrong...
He didn't want to make her cry.
- I beg your pardon if I did something wrong...
Eames shook his head in denial.
To have done something wrong...
Did she hear his words correctly.
Goren couldn't possibly think such a thing.
On the contrary...
He had given her a wonderful gift.
His son...
And this beautiful necklace...
Much too expensive for a policeman's salary.
- It's just that it touches me...
So that was it...
Goren felt his fears vanish.
Gently, he wrapped his arm around Eames' waist, held her gently against him, and cradled his son with his other arm.
- I thank you for this child.
