FPS PART02
Elizabeth Eames entered her sister's hospital room, and stopped short as forbidden, in front of the scene that was unfolding before his eyes.
His sister was cuddled in Goren's arms, and contemplated their babies.
At this scene, Elizabeth's heart sank.
She was there to pick up the baby.
And she already knew that she was going to break the parents' hearts.
It was agreed between them...
That she would take care of their children.
But that from time to time...
Goren and his sister would get their children back to enjoy them at least a little.
Elizabeth didn't know what to do.
She had a heartache at the thought of reporting herself.
Because she was sure her sister would be torn apart by this separation.
Elizabeth took a deep breath, and walked towards the couple.
- How is my nephew...
At her sister's voice, Eames tensed.
No...
It was much too early.
She barely had time to enjoy her son...
That her sister was already coming to take him away from her.
Eames did not want...
Didn't want to anymore.
She had changed her mind.
Eames trusted her sister completely...
But the thought of not having her son around near her every day was unbearable.
Even she knew she couldn't do otherwise.
If she said Goren was the father...
She could say goodbye to her career...
and most of all...
Her partnership with Goren.
Damn it...
Whatever the choice was...
It was too hard.
Eames tried to put her face back together, to put on a brave face in front of her sister.
She felt Goren's long, slender fingers gently tighten on her waist.
At Alex's stiff back...
Goren understood what was happening.
Eames didn't want to be separated from their child.
But there was no other way.
And Elizabeth will be fine taking care of their sons.
But he could feel Eames' grief, mixed with his own.
Having to part with his child...
Was the hardest thing in his life.
If only everything had been different...
That Alex was not his partner.
They could have had a normal family life...
Like the others.
But here it was impossible.
Goren tightened his grip a little too tightly.
Eames raised his face towards him, his big hazel eyes shining with an immense sadness.
A violent anger rose in him at Eames' dismay.
Damn it...
How he hated himself.
He was spirit to hurt her.
But why couldn't he stop hurting her.
Eames didn't deserve this.
She deserved to be near her son.
Wasn't he making the biggest mistake of his life...
By separating them from their child...
Elizabeth arrived at their height and leaned towards the little bed.
Damn it...
There was really no doubt who the father was.
His little brown curls...
She reached out her hands to the baby, and gently lifted him up, hugging him, and rocking him.
- So you're coming to my house...
At her words, Eames walked towards her sister, but Goren held her back firmly but gently.
No...
He couldn't let her do that.
He knew very well what she had in mind.
And it was simply impossible.
- But...
Goren shook his head in denial.
Damn it...
Didn't he understand...
Didn't he see...
That she had changed her mind.
Eames wanted to keep her son close to her.
Even if it meant losing everything.
- What's your name, little guy...
Elizabeth looked at her sister and Goren, who looked at her as if they were forbidden.
My God...
They had completely forgotten to give her a name.
Being so happy about their sons' arrival...
That they had forgotten everything.
At the parents' reaction, Elizabeth understood that they had not thought...
Nor think...
A name for this child.
Goren looked at the little boy.
And he had as an illumination.
- What do you say to Jamie...
Eames plunged his hazel gaze into Goren's brown eyes, who questioned him.
Jamie...
Eames thought the name sounded really good to his ears.
- You like it...
Eames nodded.
Yes...
Jamie was a really pretty name.
But he really needed Alex's opinion.
If she didn't like it...
Or wanted to give him another name...
Well...
He'd go along with it.
- It's up to you to decide...
It's up to her to decide.
So Goren her let choose the name of their child.
She did not hesitate.
- Yes... It will be Jamie.
Not only...
She liked this name.
But it was Goren who had chosen the name of their child.
So she could only love.
- Jamieā¦
At Elizabeth's word, Jamie stirred, and woke up, flashing a big smile on his little lips, revealing two dimples identical to his father's.
- Very well... Elizabeth looked at Goren who was holding Eames firmly by the waist. We'll do as we said.
Elizabeth walked towards the couple, leaving the parents to say goodbye to their sons.
Eames put his hand on his son's face, brushed against him.
- I...
Eames could no longer contain her grief.
She threw herself into Goren's arms and burst into tears, clinging to him desperately, and crying all the tears of his body.
Goren signaled to Elizabeth that she could go.
Goren did not want to touch his son.
Because he knew that it would be impossible for him to part with it.
Elizabeth headed to the door, but Jamie became more agitated in her arms and cried.
At her cries, Eames turned and walked away from Goren.
But he wrapped his arms around her waist, stopping her.
- Let me go... Eames was screaming, struggling. Jamie is crying...
Goren's heart sank.
Hearing Jamie and her mother cry...
Broke his heart.
But he couldn't do otherwise.
Eames sank his fangs into his arm, wanting to make him let go.
Goren winced, but held on.
Tears rolling down his cheeks, Eames watched his sister disappear from his sight, taking his son with her.
- I hate you Robert Goren...
Eames was mad with rage.
How...
And why...
Had she accepted such a thing.
She was not a good mother.
She should never have...
Now her son was leaving with his sister...
It wasn't fair.
- I'm sorry Alex...
At her words, Eames stopped struggling.
He was sorry...
She turned her face towards him, and her heart stopped.
Goren's cheeks were wet with tears.
So was he...
He was suffering from the loss of his son.
Gently, he swung her around to face him and put his hand on her golden hair, forced her gently, to put her face against his torso.
- Hate me all you want... Goren's voice broke. It's all my fault...
At his words, Eames felt her heart break into a thousand pieces.
Goren wanted her to hate him.
Why?
She was as much to blame as he was.
She could have said no from the beginning.
But she had agreed.
Eames raised his head, and brought his hands to the back of his neck, forced him to lower it.
- I don't hate you...
Eames didn't hate him...
Even after that...
He had hurt him deeply...
And his son it's was the same.
He could still hear Jamie crying as he left with Elizabeth.
Goren could no longer contain his grief.
He buried his face in Eames' shoulder and burst into tears, hugging Eames tightly.
