Angelica's POV:

There was a momentary black void before the surroundings changed to the inside of a mansion. The sheer speed and my motion sickness brought me to my knees. I got really pale, covering my mouth and trying to calm my stomach as best as I could.

„What's up with you?" Shiki bent down to me poking my cheek.

„Oh yeah. The motion sickness..." Mage remarked silently, perhaps remembering the time we spent together.

„The what now?" Shiki looked up at him.

„Are you serious? Urie slightly laughed.

„So what?! I got motion sickness!" I snapped at them after my stomach got a bit calmer, but I was still pale.

„So this was it...from the very start...I feel so dumb! To think I had a sliver of hope of you not being monsters!" I rekindled my thoughts after a while now seeing clearly through the past events. I was right not to trust them. I'm such a fool! I gritted my teeth.

„You were right. We are monsters. But I doubt that really matters now after all - you fell of your own volition," Urie got to one knee, using one finger to lift my chin so I would look at him, his tone was so calm, no hint of smugness or mockery, not even that typical smile graced his face, it was chilling.

„You tricked me into it," I hissed.

„Maybe I helped a little bit but guess what. You were the one who felt lust from it," the smugness returned to his demeanor.

„And if I remember correctly that is considered a sin for you angel. Are you denying the rules that you oh so desperately enforced?" the smugness was disgusting.

„You have no idea what you're talking about!" I slapped his hand away, but his statement stayed shaking everything within me.

„My what is happening here? Oh, masters welcome back," another figure came into the room. It was the servant from before.

„Oh my, you all look tedious," the servant looked at us from top to bottom.

„Wonder who caused that?" Mage scoffed and I instantly felt their stares on my back.

„Oh, you have no right to complain about something you caused yourselves!" I quickly shot back.

„Now, now miss you need not be agitated. Please pay my master's little mind," the servant bowed to me.

„Oh, my apologies, I failed to introduce myself. My name is Holland and I'm the butler of the Arlond, a pleasure to meet you, again," he smiled. I sensed that he was non-threatful and with pure intentions so I eased up a little bit.

„I go by Angelica here," I introduced myself, clearly giving on that I did not wish to speak about my newly gained name.

„Ah, I understand. I shall refer to you by that name then. So miss Angelica please come with me, we must get you freshened up," Holland lent me his hand and I accepted it.

He helped me to get on my feet and guided me through a tangled set of halls.

„Hey, what about us then?!" could be heard behind us. We ended up before a large door which he opened for me.

„Here you can wash, I will come back once you're done," Holland slightly bowed and disappeared.

I stepped into the room and basically saw an indoor spa. Wow. I had to just admire how that place looked. Everything was marble and gold.

I stripped down and slipped into the bath. The warm water welcomed me washing away the dirt and blood. The wound already healed up. I looked over the shackles I knew they were there, I could see them but I couldn't feel them, they had no weight but when my fingers strummed on their surface I could feel their cold. What even are these? They had no lock, no nothing, they couldn't be removed. I sighed now giving attention to my hair and wings. I ran my hand through my hair stumbling on the horns, just mere few touches from myself had me shivering. Oh, this won't be good. My fingers went through the darkened feathers cleaning everything that was left on them. They were far more sensitive now than before but it wasn't as bad as the horns. I shooked them a bit to get them a bit fluffy to see if I missed a spot. One last part that amazed me was the tail. It basically was its own being. It moved in a way to reflect my thoughts or more like emotions. This will be a pain, won't it? I judged watching it for a while. „ Alright enough of this," I decided and put out my human disguise without an effort. It hid everything but the shackles which transformed into two bracelets on each hand and a simple necklace around the neck. I reached for a towel to dry and cover myself up. I did manage to put my underwear on before Holland suddenly appeared, which made me jump.

„Please at least announce when you're coming," I cried out.

„My apologies - miss Angelica?" Holland stopped.

„Yeah, that's me," I blankly replied, not understanding why he was so surprised.

„You changed-" he spouted out.

„And?" I was still baffled.

„Perhaps you're are unaware but when the change happens the newborn is unable to grasp and use their powers at best for a week. Yet you seem to not be even affected. That would mean your power has to be somewhere around of the demon lords," Holland was greatly surprised. I was surprised only by the fact that after falling the power of someone could be compromised.

I kinda figured out that I would be somewhere around that level.

„Seems that I kept at least something," I slightly shrugged.

„Well, let's take care of this now," Holland dodged that topic entirely.

„Let's try this then," Holland snapped his fingers giving me a brand new outfit. It consisted of a black ruffle off-shoulder top, black jeans, and black and gold low heels.

„What do you think?" he asked me and showed me the mirror. The showing shoulders and belly were a bit much, knowing my company.

„Couldn't it be a bit less revealing?" I asked sheepishly.

„My apologies but there is no way for this to not be plain that way," Holland bowed.

„Guess this has to do then," I sighed.

„I'm glad," he smiled.

„Do let me show you around the mention," Holland clapped, clearly excited.

„If it grants me a bit of freedom the three, I will welcome it," I shook my head.

„As you wish," Holland smiled.

He led me through so many halls and rooms. Such a big place only for four people. Such a waste!

„And now the second to last place," Holland grandiosely announced opening a large door. It revealed a large room full of bookcases.

My eyes were shining upon seeing so much reading and distracting material.

„I see you favor this particular room. This is the study, you can find here around 35 000 books, even more," Holland informed me.

„Guess I found a place where I will spend most of my time," I joked.

„Luckily for you, the study is available any time. And it's not really used by anyone except master Rem," Holland smiled.

„And now the last room," Holland led me to the last room.

„Did you understand me?" Rem's voice sounded from the last room. I straight up barged in wanting to hear what is happening.

„I let you do this but you did not think of the consequences. So now you are the ones taking care of this, not to mention you will be taking responsibility for her actions," Rem announced.

„As far as I know I am not the problematic party here," I said harshly.

„Still - you changed," Rem was surprised a bit.

„She rained fire on us," Urie jumped in, clearly bored.

„Not to mention Babylon's armory..." Shiki huffed.

„The what?" I turned to him, noticing Rem's shocked face in the process.

„You are really lucky you know? Babylon's armory is one of the rarest abilities demons can possess," Urie smiled.

„So? I always proved to be somewhat special," I shrugged a bit irritated.

„You are incredibly right on that one, dove," Urie got real close, grabbing me around the waist, leaning close to my neck, landing a soft kiss.

„Still as sweet as ever..." Urie purred.

„Keep in mind the rules. No furniture breaking," Rem just sighed seeing my rage rising up, but it was most likely aimed at the other two.

I kept that rule in mind as I proceeded to throw him over my shoulder.

„Try that one more time, any of you, and I will show you a world of pain," I threatened, growling.

„What were you thinking?!" the two jumped on him.

„You're not having her for yourself!" Mage growled.

„Don't you know sharing is caring?" Shiki mocked him.

„You didn't do anything, why should you get anything," Urie shot back at them.

„We had a deal," Mage barked. The rest of their little argument kinda escaped me.

I was more focused on trying to figure out how to escape.

I silently slipped to the door.

„You stay here and sit down," Shiki ordered, noticing my intention.

At that command, my body instantly plopped on the couch near me refusing to leave. I loudly groaned at that. Why does he notice me every time? He soonly joined back the argument meanwhile I tried oh so desperately to get the cursed jewelry off me. It had to be a sight to behold.

„Ugh, this is useless! We will solve nothing this way," Shiki groned.

„You couldn't arrive at that conclusion oh I don't know twenty damned minutes earlier!" I spouted once that was said, but covered my mouth after that vulgar word came out. Why does this keep happening?

„Fine let's split," Urie said but when he only got two questioning looks and one utterly terrified one he had to clarify, „Each of us gets her for 2 days leaving her day for herself let's say that will be Sunday. Now–"

„Monday and Thursday." Mage interrupts him knowing fully well what was he about to say.

„Tuesday and Friday. Too slow." Shiki follows up and mocks Urie due to his plan obviously failing.

„Huh?!" the result fell on Urie pretty quickly and his face was priceless so I couldn't help but snicker a bit.

„You have no choice Wednesday and Saturday it is. And also snickering counts as an agreement to this." Mage joined in the mockery.

„HUH?!" I sounded my face twisting with disagreement. They had a really fun time laughing at both of us. I gave Urie a side glance seeing the same displeasure.

„Fine–"

„Fine but just to shut you up,"

We blurted at them finally ending that debate.

„So now that's settled. We know who will be staying each day here to watch over her," Urie started.

„So now I can't even go to school?!" I stood up quickly, deeply upset.

„Not in the condition you're in now," Urie replied dryly.

„And who put me into that condition?!" I barked, not even wanting to hear the answer, I rushed out of the room slamming the door behind me loudly.

I rushed through the twisted hallways seeking somewhat of comfort from the room that was now mine. I got inside and shut the door leaning on it for comfort. I just let out a deep sigh with contempt. The room felt cold even though the fireplace roared with life and gentle afternoon sun rays also crept in through the blinds. I took slow steps forward realizing this was the same room from before. I walked around the room taking in everything, before spotting myself in the mirror. I couldn't look away and the more I looked the more disgust and rage I felt toward the reflection. My face contorted to reflect those emotions and my eyes even took on a purple color.

And before I knew it I drew my fist through the mirror, hearing it shatter. I was taking deep breaths looking at my bloodied hand and glancing back at the mirror. Some shards fell out of the frame making me see parts of my face. I trembled upon the look I had in my eyes. I backed away from the mirror. I'm a monster. I put a hand over my mouth, tears running down my cheeks. I couldn't grasp what I have just done. Everything felt so unreal, just a few hours ago I was having somewhat fun, and now this. This is hell.

I calmed down a bit after a while. And an idea popped into my head. A minor sin of lust, maybe I could be forgiven. I got onto my knees, put my hand together, and bowed my head. This instantly made me feel as if I was kneeling on broken glass, but I pushed past the pain and began to plead my silent prayer, each word of it causing a small headache. Even with all of that I continued.

I prayed until the dusk fell, darkening the room letting only the fireplace illuminate it. My body couldn't take it anymore, I collapsed onto the floor and dragged myself onto the bed. laying on my side, back facing the door I closed my eyes, resting.

I heard the door creak open, I didn't bother turning, hoping that someone would leave soon.

„For someone who spends a lot of time in the human world, you know little. Pretending to sleep usually means to leave someone alone," I said tiredly, unable to argue anymore.

„You don't have to sleep anymore -"

„You don't think I know that?! For once in my life, I got to sleep more than 4 hours here. So leave me at least that!" I spouted.

„Huh? I thought you had Sundays for rest why sleep so little?" the voice was confused.

„Not archangels. Someone has to keep it going on that day too. I had no re - Forget it!" I cut myself off.

„Why do you even care?! You got what you wanted. You broke me! You should be happy," I exclaimed clenching the pillow tightly, I felt some weight on the other side of the bed as someone sat there.

„You got that one wrong. There is one thing I still want and I'm yet to get it," he said at that moment I sit up and hit the one with the pillow. Of course, it was Urie.

What I didn't expect was what was he wearing. White open ruffled shirt and black leather pants.

„What are you wearing?" I freaked out, beet red. his appearance gave me a weird feeling even more exaggerated by the dimness of the room.

„Why this is my normal wear," he replied.

„Like, hell it is," I just got more red.

„Think what you like," he simply said, grabbing hold of the blanket and my hand. Laying down beside me covering us both.

„W-What are you doing?!" I stuttered out before being brought close to him.

„You said you wanted to rest so you can sleep now," he simply explained to me.

„And how does that involve you? You should leave me alone it's still Sunday." now I was not only red but also hot, being under the blanket and embraced by Urie, my heart was just pounding away like a drum.

„Who said it was effective today?" he giggled.

„You really are a bastard," it slipped my lips.

„Won't be the first or the last time I heard that," he replied, his tone a bit sorrowful.

I was a bit surprised by that response, it felt kinda sincere. One of his hands wrapped around my waist and the other was slowly stroking my hair. This was a whole different side of him, the one I caught a glimpse of at the dance. I wanted to protest but at that point, I was so drained that I just let it go and closed my eyes. And before I knew it I gave myself to the dream realm.

My mind raced through my memories, not even waking me up anymore. They felt much bitter now but something was giving me comfort not letting me get washed up by it completely, I clung to it tightly. Finally, I got to a pleasant dream, I slightly smiled in my sleep loosening my grip. I don't know for how long I dreamt that one but suddenly a loud sound woke me up, „What the fuck are you doing?"

I was awake but didn't bother opening my eyes, I just turned on my other side.

„Would you not be so loud? She's still sleeping don't you see?" a hushed voice, reprimanded the other one.

„And for your information she let me," that sounded more snarkish.

„I highly doubt it. She most likely had no energy dealing with your bullshit, the first one talked back.

„Might have been a part of it," the second admitted.

„She's more interesting and convoluted them we thought. Poor thing hardly got any rest. No wonder the uptight attitude," the first voice cooed.

„Weird that you didn't know that. They were spread thin on daily basis. True wonder she didn't implode under all that pressure," I recognized Shiki's voice.

„Alright, alright that's enough no need to discuss how miserable I was. Also spoiler I wasn't. Now, will you leave so I could take care of my morning routine, or do I have to kick you out?" I sat up, still a bit woozy after only waking up.

„A bit iffy in the morning are we?" Mage sounded leaning on the doorframe, with that jerkish smirk.

„Out, now," I said fairly calmly, heading toward the bathroom while threatening them with the orchid blades, they quickly backed out.

On the way there I grabbed spare clothes and took a relaxing shower, I sure took my time. I didn't have anything to look forward to anyway so why not enjoy the little things. After that, I found my way to the kitchen.

„Good morning miss Angelica," Holland greeted me, seemingly on a tea break.

„Oh good morning Holland," I greeted him with a slight smile and I yawned a bit.

„Perhaps it's a habit to come to the kitchen in the morning," he smiled kindly.

„Well, of course, I came for something...to...eat," I explained myself, catching on why that remark was said. „I forgot," I added silently, sighing.

„It always happens. No need to be embarrassed. But given what you already showed, you can try it," Holland rolled an apple in my direction, and I caught it.

„How funny," I jokingly remarked and took a bite of the apple.

All that joking mood ran out soon as I took it. Instead of expected crispiness and sweetness, I was met with taste and texture somewhere between an onion and rubber. I hurriedly reached for a paper towel and spit that bite into it. My face was still contorted in disgust as I threw the paper towel away.

„Well, that officially closes that option. Ugh, it's gonna stay like that for a while," I sighed.

„Let me brew you a tea. Surprisingly liquids still taste the same," Holland apologizingly smiled.

„You would be kind," I smiled and sat there waiting, and not a while later Holland laid before me a fresh cup of tea. I immediately took a sip and sighed with relief.

„I take it you like it," Holland smiled.

„It's delicious," I took another sip, and a question popped into my head suddenly. „I have a question. Please answer it honestly,"

„Please ask," Holland smiled kindly.

„Alright. I want to know how many fallen get to transform into normal demons?" I got serious, the yesterday's discovery lingered in my mind.

„With all honesty - a fourth of them make it to regain their powers and from that, another fourth get to transition to true demons," as he said that I almost dropped my cup. I covered my mouth realizing what that meant. That's around 7%. Did anyone know about it? We were basically sending them to death.

I shortly collected myself and tuned to Holland, „Thank you for being honest,"

„May I ask you something too?" Holland asked.

„Yes, of course, it's only fair," I nodded.

„Alright, so you've been acquainted with master Rem and the others long before yesterday. Master Rem acted strangely lately and I wondered if you by any chance had an idea of what's happening?" Holland asked and I couldn't help but giggle a little bit.

„My apologies, I couldn't help myself. I do, it's quite simple actually. He's in love...with my dearest friend," I paused. She must be so worried and Lindo even more and pissed. I wonder if he hates what I become. „I take it you asked because he was more on edge this morning than any other time. I can't blame him. Nor can I help in this situation. Neither of us can influence how the whole situation ends up," I answered truthfully.

„I understand. We seem to always return to that unfortunate theme," Holland sighed.

„It seems so. Guess it's kinda unavoidable. I should just get used to it," I drank the rest of my tea and got.

„Thank you for the tea again," I smiled and left the room.

I headed back to my room and sat in one of the armchairs near the window. I quickly found out I couldn't stay alone without my mind going into a crisis mode. So after a few hot minutes of letting my mind run through the worst-case scenarios, I got up and headed to the bookcase. The books there were of different topics and genres. One caught my attention, Darkhold the book of spells. Maybe here I could learn more about Babylon's armory that they talked about. I pulled the book out. It had an ancient black leather cover and a hand on the opening side serving as a lock. As soon as I traced my fingers on that hand the blank space in the middle lit up with pinkish light. I felt a slight tingle on my neck, where that mark was. The mark briefly appeared on the cover and then the book opened on its own. I took a seat with it I didn't even need to hold it or flip the pages it just did it on its own like it just linked to me.

„Well, aren't you a useful little thing," I smiled as it flipped to a page about Babylon's armory.

'The power to create and freely use an endless number of different weapons. Everything is up to the user's choosing. This power only blooms in those destined to rule. Among its known living users belongs the current demon lord Satan and you...' I read an exherb out of the book. The only other user is my brother? The book flipped to another page with the list of spells and some of them were being highlighted.

„Teleportation, telekinesis, levitation, physical illusions, shadow flame manipulation, feather projection, sirens lure, aura vision, contract formation, and dream manipulation," I read out loud, it seemed like the book was pointing me to my other powers. I wanted to read more about some of them but suddenly the book shut itself as soon as someone entered my room.

„Hey-" Mage entered the room and I shot him a pretty nasty glare.

„Okay, I know you're pissed-" he started and I cut him out.

„Oh no, I'm way past pissed," I said fairly calmly laying the book down on the window still, „I'm bristling with rage," I looked into his eyes.

„And that's why I'm here," he explained.

„A bit counterproductive when you are the reason," I hissed.

„How about punch your anger out," he finally said.

„I'm not gonna fight you," I replied dryly.

„Wow, who knew that someone who led an army is actually a coward," he smirked, normally I wouldn't bet an eye but with the circumstances now my nerves just snapped.

„Alright, bring it!" I stood up and snapped my fingers transporting us outside. My eyes lit up with purple color.

I did not give him a second to prepare and launched at him yet he just deflected it. It took me a few times to clear my head a bit to understand that, that was not going to work. So I took a more close-range-handed approach. I got a few solid hits in but so did he. I didn't even notice that somewhere halfway that anger was nowhere to be found. At some point, his hair came undone. Somewhere down the line we just merged barehanded combat with spells. I used the fire to counter the lightning bolt he just sent out. Whenever those two forces met a cloud of dark smoke always obscured our visions. This time I used it to my advantage to strike a sneak attack, getting him in a chokehold. And thanks to my position and the smaller stature he couldn't do anything about it. He began to tap on my arm as a signal that he is giving up, but I only strengthened my grip. It wasn't about breathing but the sheer annoyance of it.

„Alright, you won. You can let me go now," he choked out.

„Now, was it that hard to say that?" I asked him with a smirk, letting him go. I was actually pretty tired so I sat down on the grass.

„Well, at least you're feeling better. Never knew you would be the type to enjoy fights," Mage laughed and sat down too.

„Firstly touché, I did not think that would help. And secondly what gives you that idea?" I chuckled.

„You had at least three opportunities to end it way sooner. And you chose not to," he blankly explained. I always had some kind of affinity for a good fight. But having drilled into my head that quickness and cleanness are the keys I always pushed it back.

„Damn my hair came undone," he muttered under his breath and look at me, „Could you do it for me?"

„Huh? What are you, a child?" I huffed.

„It just takes a long time," he shrugged.

„Fine. But you better sit and don't move," I sighed and got up behind him.

„So what were you doing with that Darkhold?" he piped up.

„What someone does with a book, I read it. Or is it another thing that is reserved for the powerful," I snarked.

„How are you always spot on? Yeah, only the nobles can open that thing,"

„How do you still wonder about that? I'm literally - I said don't move your head - I'm literally blood-related to the first fallen,"

„Yet, you were still surprised by your fate- ouch could you not," he remarked and I 'accidentally' tugged a bit harder on his hair.

„Ups my hand slipped. What even is it with you and the love of fight?" I got curious.

„Do you really wanna know that?" he sighed.

„Well, since I might be stuck around you a long time I should at least know some things," I huffed.

„Well, I guess it's kinda a habit,"

„A habit?"

„I had to fight for myself a lot. Happens when you don't have anyone else around,"

„Wait, you didn't have a family?" I caught up.

„I had one. But they got killed, every single one," as he said that I stopped.

„My condolences..." I managed to get out.

„No need it happened a long time ago," he just waved it off but soonly he sighed after maybe seeing my questioning face, I was a bit curious about it.

„You, want to know how it happened don't you?" he sighed.

„If it's not too much trouble," I said sheepishly.

„Well, fine if you went to hear that old tale. My family got all but me wiped out by Maksis. From that day I swore, I will become the strongest demon, hell even becoming demon king," he briefly explained.

„So was that part of the reason why you joined this thing?" I curiously asked.

„You could say that. Rem's dad basically banished Maksis, so he now holds the title," he explained.

„He just banished him?" I asked seeing the issue already.

„Yeah, is that wrong? Like yeah, I would love to see that freak dead but that's not for me to decide," he scoffed.

„Well, then Glax isn't really the demon king. That title still belongs to Maksis. From what I know that title belongs only to the one who killed the previous king," I explained what I heard.

„Well, isn't that something you could tell us earlier," he's flabbergasted. „I thought you already knew. My, seems my brother was still capable of keeping some secrets," I laughed a bit.

„As it seems he knew of his predicament. that means that title still belongs to him," he sighed.

„My brother is still alive? well, isn't that a surprise. with his demeanor I thought he got ripped to shreds by his peers," this actually shocked me.

„Might have been the kinder fate for him. He's locked up below the golden auditorium with minimal souls. constantly starving," Mage huffed.

„Not really. he never needed that stuff. First fallen privileges I guess. But that isolation sure had to mess up his brain. Not sure if that's even possible," I shrugged my shoulders. „Oh, you don't even know. He got locked up because he got even madder as he ruled. his state as of his fall was nothing, or you know as I heard, of course, I wasn't there at the time," he corrected me.

„Oh, then he must have been a nightmare to deal with. Kinda understandable reaction," I nodded.

I finally finished doing his hair, I tried to get close to his style.

„And it's done," I sighed. „I appreciate the training but I will now get back to my book," I said and took my leave.

I returned to my room. The book basically floated toward me.

„So teach me more," I smiled at the book as I sat down.

The book opened and showed me more pages. It was quite an interesting read. I tried some of the spells on the pages. It got pretty late once I finished with it. Perhaps I should visit the library. I stood up, the book flew back to its place and I left the room. The mansion got dark, understandably it was already close to 7 p.m. I didn't even notice that time flew by so quickly.

I arrived at the library, it was dimly lit but I didn't mind I focused on the books.

„Are you looking for something specific?" a voice asked behind me, I didn't even notice that someone was there when I entered. You're letting your guard down. I turned to the voice, and there was sitting Rem.

He was sitting next to the table on which laid shogi and a lit table lamp, which was the source of the light. He sat there with a book in hand.

„No, not really," I answered.

„Then care for a game?" he asked gesturing towards the shogi.

„Well, then why not," I shrugged my shoulders and took a seat opposite of him.

We went through a few rounds in complete silence but I did notice that something was on his heart. Something he wanted to talk about maybe more than one thing.

„For your information. No, I do not hate you for what happened to me. Yes, you did play a part but just like me with the blood gem, you couldn't foresee they would go to such lengths," I stated, making my next move carefully.

„How did you-" I stopped him.

„It's written all over your face. So what do you want to talk to me about?" I got straight to the point.

„The atmosphere around the whole thing is just tense. Not to mention the school is facing some problems too," he starts.

„Can't say I'm surprised. They sure have to be pissed about what happened. I was their dear friend. Maybe if you let me talk to them-" I was interrupted.

„You can't leave this place at least for now. And I doubt they will want to show up here," Rem sighed.

„And why exactly can't I leave?" I shot back.

„Do you know what is the hunger madness?" he asked me and I just shook my head.

„It's something that affects the fallen. It's the body's response to a new diet, that being souls. The body disposes of all the nutrition from the previous diet and craves what it needs. And if it does not get it, it becomes feral attacking every living being around. That's why the fallen need to be fed. You can't be around people before we figure out how much food will you need to sustain yourself from hunger," Rem explained.

„I despise the thought of taking someone's soul just to further my own lifespan. But as you put it avoiding it at every cost will prove to be even more dangerous. But isn't there another way?" I tried reasoning.

„Due to the nature of sin that turned you, you could partially feed of lust. But it wouldn't have enough power to keep your hunger at bay at least at the moment. So at the moment, souls are the only thing," Rem again explained, he seemed to get from where I was coming from.

„Well, fine," I sighed.

„We will have the souls prepared tomorrow morning. At least you will have room to test which ones will be to your liking," Rem nodded.

We continued in our game, and I tried to wreak my mind on how to help Rem.

„I thought writing at least a letter to them would ease things up. But I have nothing good to write and they are both stubborn, even if I write them you're not at fault, I wouldn't really change their mind," I huffed.

„I tried to explain but Ritsuka bearly looked at me and Lino nearly attacked, again," he deeply sighed, it really got him down.

„Give them time. Try talking again. That's the best advice I can get you at this moment," I said, I managed to find some pen and paper I wrote a little letter, folded it into a paper crane, and let it magically fly away. I don't give it too much hope of helping but try is a try.

„So about the school problems I'm kinda surprised you care but anyway what are those problems," I asked.

„We do have to care. The student council gives us power, we have to maintain the position. To those problems... a string of bullying arose. I'm not going to deny it wasn't there before, but it got more serious-" he said.

„And you cant effectively solve it because around you they are on their best behavior. And also you know thanks to smelling or sensing emotion, so you don't have propper prove," I filled the gaps.

„Yes, you got it right," he just nodded, slowly getting used to mine filling in the gaps.

„So since you're telling me this I'm somehow the solution. So out with it, what's your plan?" I asked without hesitation.

„Since we still need to find the gem we will be staying here. And to keep eye on you, you will become a part of the council as well. How does the enforcer sound?" It still honors your past position," he starts.

„Everybody will get envious, that a girl such as me is joining the council. Making them not that careful, thinking it's a joke," I continued, seeing where is he going with this.

„So, you can easily catch them," he finishes.

„Not a bad plan. And the more I step on their toes the more they will show their true colors. So where is the catch?" I narrowed my eyes.

„Should have guessed you figure it out. You will send some of the students our way. Maybe those who really deserve it. But again it will be up to your judgment. Any other punishment will be up to you to decide," he admitted.

„These are conditions I can get behind, Fine," I nodded.

Then we just continued our game. We ended it by 8 p.m. Rem won, he definitely had more experience with it. I got back to my room, closed the door behind me, and headed to the window. When we were sparing outside with Mage I noticed it would be pretty easy to climb from my window to the rooftop.

I got on the ledge ad climbed up. It got a bit windy outside, but I only welcomed it. I took in the view, got on my knees, and started praying, just like last night, I still had hope. Although I couldn't stay like this for long I had to keep some strength to get back to my room.

I got back once the moon was fully out, I crawled onto my bed and closed my eyes to get some rest. It really felt nice having a full night's sleep.
