The gang began making their way on the road. It was a beautiful day with the sun glowing through themselves.
"Wow," Heather said. "It's like we're glowing."
"I know," Courtney said. The road was fun to be on, especially this time of year.
Gwen said to Sierra, "you know, you could make some of your own money driving people to certain places."
"Really?" Sierra commented. "I haven't even thought about that. The gang then saw a road sign. They decided to head over to Chicago first.
"I love Chicago," Courtney said. "Why didn't we go there during Total Drama World Tour?" Gwen asked.
"I don't know," Cody answered. "But I wish we did. Isn't that one of the cooler cities where the blues became popular?"
"I heard something about that," Gwen said. "I wonder if the Cubs will get a win soon. They're going to have a home court advantage. Most teams should be aware of when that happens."
"The cubs are awesome," Courtney said.
As the gang made their way to Chicago, Sierra decided to turn on some tunes.
The radio speaker said, "now back to the best R&B and throwbacks. It's 105.3 WDAS FM."
Montell Jordan's "This is How We Do It" came on.
"I bet Jo would enjoy songs like this," Gwen said.
"Who wouldn't?" Sierra asked.
The gang sang the intro to the song together.
Gwen took the first part of verse 1.
"This is how we do it," she sang. "It's Friday night, and I feel alright. The party is here on the West Side."
Cody took over more of verse 1.
Courtney and Sierra sang the end of verse 1.
"The summertime skirts and the guys in Kani," Courtney sang. "All the gangbangers forgot about the drive-by."
"You gotta get your groove on, before you go get paid," Sierra sang. "So tip up your cup and throw your hands up, and let me hear the party say."
Everyone joined in for the chorus. The radio was turned down for a while when the song ended.
"You know," Heather started. "All this hip hop reminds me of that rap you sang in the amazon."
"How did your rap go again?" Cody asked.
"Tied up, rope is no joke! Spears in our face, get us out of this place," Gwen started rapping. "Ain't having the luck that I anticipated.
Probably means I'm eliminated. Yeah, I'm out!"
"What!?" Everyone else busted out.
"I could get used to hip hop," Courtney said.
"What other rap songs can we think of?" Cody asked.
"I got one," Gwen said.
She started rapping again.
"Ohhhhhhhhhh! Turning us into punching bags? That is lame! Chris, you're far from funny; it's a crying shame! When you hear them crickets, you're the one to blame!"
She then laughed. Courtney then jumped in.
"It is just not cool if you ask me," she rapped. "Chris, you're like a fart knocker, do you see?"
Cody then rapped, "Punching B to the A to the G to the S. Are punching bags bad for you and me! The answer's yes. Turning girls into punching bags just ain't funny!"
"We all can see that it's not funny," everyone sang twice.
"Don't turn us into punching bags no more," Gwen sang.
"Remember watching those two fight in the ring?!" Sierra asked. "Oh man! That was horrible!"
"Don't, don't, don't, don't, don't turn us into punching bags no more," Courtney sang.
"Man, having them as punching bags is crunchy!" Heather said.
"My god," Gwen said. "I love hip hop music."
"Same here," Sierra said.
"We have got to show Leshawna and Izzy our new song," Gwen said. "They love to dance."
Everyone was in total agreement with her.
As the gang continued on the road, Courtney wanted to ask something.
"Okay," she said. "You're dared to listen to nothing but hip hop all day. What song would you put on first?"
"Definitely This is How We Do It," Sierra answered. "That song is quite a jam.
"For me," Gwen started answering. "I would pick 'Ice Ice Baby' by Vanilla Ice. That one hit wonder was quite a throwback."
Heather went next.
She answered with, "I would pick 'Jenny from the Block' by Jennifer Lopez."
Cody asked Heather why.
Heather told him, "after looking back on Gwen's rap in the Amazon, I stumbled upon Jennifer Lopez by mistake. I guess you can say it was a happy accident."
"I bet that got a lot of views on your vlog," Gwen giggly commented.
Heather couldn't help but bust out a few giggles of her own.
Cody went next.
"I'm kind of more into guy rappers," he said. "So, I'm picking one of Will Smith's songs. Possibly either 'Miami' or 'Getting Jiggy with It' if you know what I mean."
"Cool," Courtney commented. "I would go with the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme song."
"That's a classic," Cody said. He then started rapping.
"In West Philadelphia, born and raised. On the playground is where I spent most of my days."
"Chillin' out, maxin', relaxin 'all cool, and all shootin' some B-ball outside of the school," Gwen rapped.
Heather then rapped, "When a couple of guys who were up to no good, started makin' trouble in my neighborhood. I got in one little fight and my mom got scared and said."
Sierra then said, "You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air."
The gang continued singing the rest of the song.
"Hip hop is classic," Gwen said.
"You got that right," Sierra said.
The gang continued with more rapping as they made their way to Chicago.
