While Mei was waiting for her mother to get home, Tyler and Brendan were hanging out at Brendan's trying to take in everything going on.

"So you haven't even told your folks yet, huh?" asked Brendan

"Nope, I know my dad is gonna be super pissed off but my mom?! She's scary!" shuddered Tyler.

"Really? She seems so sweet though" replied Brendan.

"Not when she's mad" replied Tyler.

As the boys were sitting on the couch taking in the reality of what was going on, the boys got a group text...from Ming.

The two of you, temple...now. Do not make me come and get you!

"Oh jeez" shuddered Brendan.

"Oh no" shuddered Tyler.

Ming was driving home still fuming over what was going on, but at least she had some ice cream. Mei was on the couch rubbing her stomach while her father consoled her.

"Everything's gonna be okay" smiled Jin.

"I know...but it's just...mom" sobbed Mei.

"Remember what I told you, she's looking in the mirror...you know she was your age when she had you, right?" replied Jin.

"I know but..." sobbed Mei

"And boy did your grandmother throw a fit, we had to get married and everything and I'll never forget your grandmother telling everyone how your mother made the wrong choice and how she disgraced her and your mother just snapped" replied Jin.

"Yeah...I remember you said you saw mom's panda" sobbed Mei.

"Yup, but like I said we stuck through it and she'll get over this in time" smiled Jin.

Soon Ming arrived back at the temple, still fairly in shock over everything. She put some of her ice cream in a bowl and the container in the freezer and sat down. Mei stood up and approached her.

"Ummm..hi mom" stammered Mei.

"Not right now Mei-Mei, I have some business to take care of," said Ming in a stern tone of voice.

As if right on cue there was a knock at the door, Mei went to answer it and to her horror, it was Tyler and Brendan.

"Wh-wh-what are you guys doing here?" asked Mei nervously and sweating profusely.

"Your mother texted us," said Tyler nervously.

Brendan saw Ming in the kitchen staring at them with a death glare, he began to breathe heavily as was Tyler. Ming pointed at the two of them indicating with her finger to come to the kitchen and sit down. The boys walked to the kitchen practically shaking.

"So is this what the Green Mile felt like?" asked Brendan.

"I think I'd rather be on death row right now, to be honest" replied Tyler.

The two boys sat down in the chair and Ming eating her ice cream was glaring at the both of them. The boys were practically sweating bullets as they were intimidated by Ming.

"Ummm...Mrs. Lee...you look uhmmmm...great" stammered Tyler trying to break the ice.

"Y-y-yeah...have you lost w-w-weight?" stammered Brendan.

Ming put her finger to her lip telling the boys to shush.

The boys shut their yaps.

"I told you two...if anything happened to my Mei-Mei there would be hell to pay" said Ming angrily.

"Look Mrs. Lee we didn't-" Brendan was soon cut off by Ming.

"How could be so irresponsible?! The two of you! I trusted you with my daughter and look what happens, you get her four sheets to the wind, and you! You! You knocked her up!" exclaimed Ming first pointing at Brendan and then Tyler.

"I'm sorry but-" Tyler was then cut off by Ming.

"No! There's no excuse you could tell me whatsoever to justify this! I always knew you were trouble! It's such a shame! I wanted my perfect little Mei-Mei to have a bright future and marry well and instead, a troublemaker like Miriam gets the perfect guy and my little Mei-Mei gets stuck with you!" exclaimed Mei pointing at Tyler.

"Hey my girlfriend isn't trouble!" exclaimed Brendan fairly offended by that remark.

"This is your fault! I'm glad my Mei-Mei didn't wind up with you at this point, Miriam can have you!" exclaimed Ming pointing at Brendan.

"My fault?! Nobody told them to have anything!" exclaimed Brendan trying to defend himself.

"You know what?! You...leave! I don't ever want you hanging around with my Mei-Mei again!" exclaimed Ming.

"Fine! I know when I'm not welcome anywhere! Tyler, Mei lots of luck to the both of you!" exclaimed Brendan as he attempted to storm out but Mei ran toward him and grabbed him by the hips.

"Mom, no! It's not his fault, please! This isn't good for my baby!" Mei cried.

"Mei-Mei please, let him go and go into the living room," said Ming sternly.

Mei hugged Brendan and sobbed into his shirt.

"I'm so sorry" she sobbed.

"It's alright, have a nice life all of you," Brendan said angrily as Mei let go of him and he stormed outside.

Brendan reached his car and kicked the side of it making a little dent in the driver's side door.

"Damn it!" he exclaimed.

He opened the door, got in his car, and slammed the door. He slammed his head on the steering wheel...and began to cry.

Meanwhile back at the temple, Tyler was still in the chair getting grilled by Ming.

"So what are your plans to support this baby huh? Do you realize now my little Mei-Mei is gonna get judged throughout college?! They'll probably label her as easy or loose...or worse!" exclaimed Ming.

"Ummm...I can get maybe a job" shuddered Tyler cowering in fear.

"You better! Now leave! We are gonna discuss more tomorrow...with your parents!" exclaimed Ming with Tyler still cowering in fear.

"Y-y-yes ma'am...bye Mei" stammered Tyler as he bolted out the door and headed to the tram.

Mei was sitting on the couch crying into a pillow while Jin rubbed her back with his left hand trying to comfort her.

"Ming honey, don't you think you were a little hard on them?" asked Jin.

"No, if anything I went easy on them" growled Ming.

"Dear, they made a mistake" replied Jin calmly.

"The only mistake that was made was when I okayed Mei-Mei to go to New York, what happened was just plain stupidity!" exclaimed Ming.

"Just like her mother," Jin whispered to Mei.

Meanwhile, Brendan was driving back home and was talking to Miriam on his Bluetooth headphone.

"That's crazy! This nowhere near any fault of yours!" exclaimed Miriam.

"Yeah, it's ridiculous, and not to mention she said you're a troublemaker!" exclaimed Brendan.

"Well she's one to talk" replied Miriam.

"I know, I defended you...but she doesn't want me to see Mei again, she doesn't want me to be friends" replied Brendan.

As Brendan was driving he soon saw Mei calling him.

"Hold on, speak of the devil," said Brendan.

"Sure" replied Miriam.

Brendan put the call on hold and answered.

"You sure you wanna talk to me? I don't want your mom to kill me" said Brendan.

"I'm upstairs right now, I don't care what she says you and I will be friends until the end! Besides I wanted to call you to tell you that Tyler and I were texting each other earlier and if I make it past the third trimester we want you and Miriam to be the godparents to our child" said Mei still sobbing a bit.

Brendan had a smile a mile long when he heard that, his mood suddenly changed and he felt a tingling in his stomach.

"Mei that's amazing! Hold on lemme group call us!" said Brendan as he put Miriam on to the call.

"Miri...Mei has something to tell you" smiled Brendan excitedly.

"Sup Mei?" asked Miriam.

"Well, Tyler and I were texting after he left and we decided if I make it past the third trimester we wanted you guys as our baby's godparents" smiled Mei.

Miriam felt her soul leave her body, she was excited.

"Mei that's amazing! Thank you!" squealed Miriam.

Meanwhile, Tyler reached his house, still shaken up from the tongue lashing he got from Ming. He felt defeated, emasculated, and just a mess, and despite him and Mei texting each other and deciding to name Brendan and Miriam the godparents of their child he still felt a mess. He opened the door and looked into the living room and saw his parents sitting on the couch watching TV, his mother looked at him and immediately noticed he seemed down in the dumps.

"Tyler honey, what's wrong?" asked his mother.

"Yeah son, you look beaten down...what happened?" asked his dad.

Tyler walked into the kitchen and grabbed three beers out of the fridge, gave one to his mom and one to his dad, and opened his.

"Stay sitting down, you're gonna need to be when I tell you the news," said Tyler as he drank his beer and prepared to tell his parents what had happened.
