Chapter 2

Aro POV

(Throne room)

After Heidi left the room he turned to face his brothers who both had a confused look on their faces. Caius who has hair that is shoulder length and is so white it can be described to look almost like snow, but looks to be in his mid twenties from looks even though he is definitely way older, and Marcus has long black hair that comes down from the sides of his head and back in a lazy type of style to it, he also looks to be older than the other two brothers but his expression may be confused as what his brother Aro seen and read looks to show no expression either.

His brothers ask "So are you gonna tell us what you saw and let us know what that letter was about and why it was addressed to us alone?"

Aro felt a bit unsure of how to respond to his brothers and knowing that Caius in particular isn't known to be patient even towards his own brother. So he said " to be honest I'm not perfectly sure about what it said in the letter as the person who wrote it wants us to be in charge and raise that human child" with uncertainty in the tone he used to respond.

Caius spoke with outrage " a human child to stay and be raised in this very castle among us vampires even when we have a law that no human is must not know of our existence unless they are to be killed or changed and that can't happen at this moment as the human child is too young to be changed and what we know so far is too young to understand what we are to be a threat of knowing our existence, not just that but if our enemies or the rest of our kind finds out that we are holding a human here then we be breaking our own laws."

Marcus still chose not to respond but looked clearly in thought of what's been said around him even while being in the same room. Caius is still ranting out loud with outrage about the human. Aro brightened with an idea in his mind that he hoped his brothers will agree to and that he hoped will benefit them in the future if everything goes the way he hopes.

"Marcus when Heidi came into the throne room with the human in her arms quite protectively if I may mention, did you see anything in the bonds?" he questioned. Marcus looked up and replied " I saw a family bond with Heidi and the child, one that's like an aunt would have with a child". He pauses to let that settle in everyone's minds. "Apart from that it's still too early to tell due to the age of the child, due to that only Heidi has actually had any interaction with the child as she brought the child in, plus we are yet to see the child's face, but I'm certain when the child grows, so will the same with any of the bonds that may or may not form with us or anyone the child interacts with if it stays" he finishes his statement from the question that Aro asked of Marcus.

Aro decides to continue with what he wanted to say after hearing Marcus's statement of the bond with Heidi and the child "Also I just had this wonderful idea due to this letter that I'm currently have in my hand it mentions that us three are to raise and look after this human as it was our own and I'm thinking that we let Heidi to care for it until it's older enough to be left with others like myself or anyone from the guard that we trust". He voiced to his brothers.

He continued " when the human is older enough for us three to teach it our way of life but also how to defend itself if the danger arrives" he paused for a few seconds.

Then continued "Also the child will be trained before and after it goes through the change as we can't now disobey our own laws can we? I think that Caius you should be in charge of training the child to fight when it's older enough to be able to start" Caius cracked his knuckles upon hearing that as he loves to train the guard and to fight.

"Marcus I think that you should teach the child our language and how to read so the child will have full understanding of our laws and history to help the child develop" Marcus brightened slightly at hearing that as Aro knew that he loves to teach and Aro hoped this will give Marcus and the child to help each other in a way for the child to get Marcus to come out of his emotionless but sometimes depressed attitude to life and become what he was before the sad fate of his mate Didyne who was also Aro's sister.

"Whereas if none of you both don't have a problem with I would like to act like a sort of father role for the child as this child has peaked my curiosity as I hope we get to see how special this child will be as the person who left her here thinks she's very special and wanted us to care for it" he finished with glee and excitement.

"So what do you think? Do you agree as it's got to be unanimous?" Aro said with curiosity and delight in his voice with his brilliant idea if he thinks so himself.

Caius responded " I hate the idea of a human child being in this castle but the knowing that I be the one to teach the child to fight before and after the child goes through the change makes me want to agree to stand the thought of the child being in the castle until then, but I will not showing when this child is around that it's special and can get away with anything as it's still a human and unless you forgotten humans are lower than us and they are like cattle but I know how you can't say no to a curiosity so I will be in favour to let the human stay with us". Caius huffed at the end of his response to his opinion of the child.

Caius replied not long after saying his opinion " I know I probably already mentioned this but I still think that your curiosity is gonna be your undoing one of these days if you're not careful brother" he said with a slight annoyance.

Marcus thought and then said " if it keeps you happy Aro then let it be unanimous then as you know I love to teach but I doubt that this human can do anything to change how I feel or act since the death of my beloved mate and your sister" with boredom and a hint of frustration in his voice as he said it.

Aro listened to everything his brothers said and felt delighted that they both agreed to what he asked of them and what he wanted to do. "So we are in agreement to a degree but still in agreement that we made unanimously so should we tell Heidi the news and start preparing the child's room, who will be doing what for the child and who will be guarding the child's room when the child is asleep".

His brothers nodded with agreement.

"Heidi please come to the throne room we have some news to share with you" shouted Aro.
