Dragon Warriors
in Dragon Illness
In East Liverpool, the flower shops have restocked some new flowers.
"I don't get it," Vault questioned. "why is everyone spending good money on flowers?" he asked.
"Because they want to make their homes lively." Sunny explained.
"Yeah. We have flowers in our castle, and we even have a garden," said Alicia.
"What kind of flowers do they got," said Vault.
"Roses, dandelions, daisies, sunflowers..." she explained.
Then Sugarcoat came out of the store, and she's carrying some new kind of flowers with blue pedals.
"What kind of flowers are those?" asked Sunny.
"I don't know. But they're the color blue, like a depressed person." Sugarcoat bluntly answered.
The next day, the Warriors began their patrol.
"It's so good that the schedule of our mid-terms has been changed," said Prim.
"Yes, and that reminds me," said Claudia. "Why are you going on patrol, instead of studying?" she asked.
"Well we needed time so, that's it," Connor answered.
"And speaking of time, look at this," Vault pointed. The Warriors landed on the ground and spotted a Terror sneezing.
It sneezed and blew fire, it collapsed, Kaguya picked it up and examined it.
"It looks like it's sick," Kaguya exclaimed.
Then suddenly, Shade sneezed and blasted a small blast.
"Hey what's wrong with Shade?" asked Luu Luu.
"I don't know, I've never seen him like this before," said Connor.
Later at the catacombs, Beardsley is examining Shade to see what's wrong with him.
"Hmm, I see." Beardsley spoked. "As it turns out, they're having an allergic reaction," he explained.
"Are you saying that the dragons are allergic to something," Connor said.
"Correct." King Charles answered through the crystal ball. "Dragons can be allergic to anything, such as... pollen, fungus, and peanuts," he explained.
"Well, we need to know, what they're allergic to," said Maia.
"Don't worry, I asked Kin to find the answer. In the meantime, take care of your dragons."
"Make sure you find it fast because it's getting worse." Vault showed them, that the rest of their dragons are sick as well.
Later, they asked Harold for help, after all, he was a doctor. He took a sample and gave them the news.
"It appears that their allergy is giving them the flu," Harold explained.
"Is there any other way to help them?" asked Celestine.
"Well, I could create a vaccine, but it'll take weeks to perfect it," he said. "Until then, make sure your dragons rest."
The next day, Connor came to Sunny's apartment to see if her dragon is doing well.
"Hey Sunny, I want to know if your dragon is OK.," said Connor, and Sunny frowned.
"Not too well," Sunny let Connor in. "She's really sick," she said, as she showed him.
Sprint lied down feeling sick, she sneezed and accidentally launched her spikes and Connor ducked.
"Maia and Kaguya are having trouble with their Nadders, too," said Connor.
"Yeah, Sprint's been feeling sick ever since I brought home those new flowers."
Then Connor began to think that there's a connection between the flowers and the sick dragons.
"Wait a minute." he spoked. "New flowers came, and suddenly, the dragons became sick, and what do they have in common? The flower shop."
Connor went into the flower shop to ask the owner about the new flowers.
"How did you buy those flowers?" asked Connor.
"I bought them from Planet Government." said the owner.
"I didn't know, Earth was a botanist," he said.
"Actually, the flowers were bioengineered. They can also be used for air fresheners," she explained.
Later back at the catacombs, Alicia is hacking into Planet Government's files to find out more about those engineered flowers.
"So you think Earth's behind all this?" Grave questioned.
"I'm sure, he must've created them to make our dragon's sick," Connor replied.
"Got it," said Alicia, then the screen shows the blue flower.
"But what are they," asked Claudia.
"A blue oleander." They turn and spotted Kin communicating in the crystal ball. "These plants are very beautiful, very soft, perennial. And poisonous to reptiles, including dragons," he explained, as he showed them a picture.
"But, they're one of the rarest flowers in the world. How did Earth engineer them?" asked Maia.
"A lucky guess," Luu Luu suggested.
"But look, they match," said Vault. "I guess Earth doesn't want those flowers to be extinct," he said.
"But why would he create those flowers?" asked Celestine.
Then Prim got it.
"I bet he created them to use the flowers against Origa's armored dragons," said Prim.
"And our dragons are the test subjects," said Connor. "Kin, what's the cure?" he asked.
"Yes. I remember the Book of Dragons talked about a dragon that feeds on the blue oleander, the Scauldron. Its venom can be used for an antidote." explained Kin.
"It looks like we're fishing a Scauldron."
Later, the Warriors and Harold are on a boat to search for the Scauldron.
"Alright, when Vault and Grave secure the Scauldron, Claudia will wench its jaw open, and I'll bring the poison into the bucket," Connor explained.
The girls poured the blue oleanders out to the ocean, in order to draw out the sea dragon.
A few minutes later, there was no sign of the Scauldron. And everyone is getting bored.
"I don't think the Scauldron's coming," said Luu Luu.
But suddenly, they're boat began to shake.
"Want a bet," said Connor. Then a green Scauldron's head rose up before it dived back down. "We need to lure the Scauldron up on deck," he said.
Then Luu Luu began to spread the flowers on the deck. While Vault and Grave were preparing for its attack.
There was no sign of the Scauldron until it charged and hit the boat mid-air.
The Scauldron rose up and climbed on top of the boat, making it tilt. Everyone was holding on tight, as the Scauldron is eating the flowers.
"Now's our chance!' said Vault, as he and Grave dive down and restrained it with ropes.
Claudia came down and forced open the Scauldron's mouth with a pole.
"Connor now!" Vault yelled.
Then Connor grabbed the bucket, and just as he's about to insert it. The Scauldron crushed the pole.
The Scauldron lifted its tail and struck Maia, but she held onto it until she grabbed onto the mast.
"I got his tail," Maia called.
"Use the mast to wench his jaw open!" yelled Connor.
Vault and Grave pulled until the mast wenched its mouth open.
"Beardsley grabbed the bucket!" yelled Grave.
Beardsley grabbed the bucket and noticed steam coming out of the mouth.
"Take cover!" yelled Alicia.
Then the Warriors grabbed their shields and the Scauldron blasted boiling water.
The Scauldron is loose and noticed Beardsley barely hiding, and it bit him right in the butt, which causes him to scream in pain.
Then Harold appeared and noticed a water jug on his armor, he removed it but it accidentally soaked him.
The Scauldron spotted him, Harold thinks the Scauldron is gonna eat him...but instead, it licked him. As the Warriors soon began to notice.
"Why is it licking me!?" questioned Harold.
"You trained the Scauldron," said Kaguya. "It appears they like anything that reminds them of home," she said.
As Harold was about to say something, the Scauldron licked as his mouth was open, and Harold spits in disgust.
Later, the Warriors successfully got the venom from the trained Scauldron as it swam away.
"Good job Warriors," said Connor with a smile.
"Yeah, we got the back-up venom," said Harold, which confuses the Warriors. As Beardsley screamed in pain.
"Get this poison out of me!" yelled Beardsley.
"Guess we already got it," said Connor.
Later back at the catacombs, Grave and Harold are extracting the venom out of Beardsley's butt, as he screamed in pain.
"I can't imagine what's coming out of Beardsley's butt," said Luu Luu.
"Actually," Maia spoked. "That's the sound of our dragons getting better," she said.
Then Grave appeared, who looked like he had the roughest day in his life.
"I fought a horde of Nightmares. I fought an army of ogres. But never, never! Have I've seen so disturbing, is Beardsley's behind." said Grave.
"Well that ugly parts over," Harold came with the venom in a tube. "we've got the venom vaccine for the dragons," he said.
The next day, the Warriors' dragons have been cured of the blue oleanders. And are now doing their patrol.
"I still can't believe Jonathan Earth would use out dragons as subjects for his weapons," said Claudia.
"You don't think he is that desperate, to stop Origa?" Vault questioned.
"I don't know, but after that event. The dragons in the city are keeping a close watch on him," said Connor.
