Hey guys! Hope your all doing fine.

Happy reading!
Xoxo,

The sun was shining bright and the sky was the most beautiful shade of light blue, not a single cloud at sight. I walked up and down Adam's room trying to find my clothes that were scattered all over the place.
Ruzke had gotten out of bed first to take a shower and get breakfast ready. I offered to help but he insisted I took the extra minutes of rest, so I did. The last couple of days had been intense and last night's workout left my body feeling sore and absolutely happy.
When I stepped into the kitchen the food and coffee was waiting for me on the table, along with the very handsome man that was looking for a carton of orange juice in the fridge.
"Good morning, Ruzek. You outdid yourself today, it looks and smells amazing." He came over and kissed me good morning.
"You know, I didn't tell you this last night, but that outfit… It does all kinds of damage to my head and other parts of my body, too." I smiled.
"I'm glad it does. It was kind of the idea."
"And what ideas was that? torture?"
I seductively stepped closer to him and began to play with the collar of his plaid flannel shirt. "No. I wanted you to want me." I looked at him over the top of my eyes to see him sporting a lopsided smile.
"Oh darlin', I always want you. No matter what you are wearing." He leant forward and kissed me on the side of my lips. "I'm so glad you came over last night."
"Me too." I hugged him tight around the waist. His hands lost no time and reached for the back pockets of my jeans. "Adaaaam, no."
"Why not?" He whined. "I told you, this thing you have going on does stuff to me."
"Baby, I really want you to do all that stuff to me, but I also don't want to be late, especially today. Plus I need to stop at my place to change these boots."
"Really? You look damn hot with those." I rolled my eyes. "Fine, but you and I have unfinished business. You're coming home with me tonight and you have no idea of all the stuff I'm gonna do to you." His voice came out almost as a hungry growl making me blush.
"Don't mind if I do." By that time we had reluctantly let go of each other and headed to the table to have some food. Omelette, bacon and pancakes and everything was delicious. "Oh, gosh this is so good." I put my fork and knife down and looked up to the ceiling in complete delight, while Adam just laughed at me.
"I love it when I make you say that." The blushing was there again.
"Shut up." I lightly punched him on the shoulder. "You owe me a dinner date by the way."
"I do, but since you told me to get away from you I thought you weren't going to agree on going out with me."
"Fair point. But now I don't want you to get away from me, so how about I ask you out on a date?"
"That sounds interesting."
"This weekend?" I stopped to think for a second. "No. Wait. I'm supposed to babysit Zoe this weekend, how about the next?"
"Um, I'm not sure I can make it." He said with a playful smile.
"Are you really going to play that card on me?" He just kept on laughing. "What's going on?"
"You'll see." He paused to take a sip out of his coffee mug. "Eventually." I just rolled my eyes. I hated when he did that. He laughed again, he was having way too much fun with this. "Let's finish up and go." He stretched his hand across the table to hold mine. The sweetest smile was stamped on his face. "We have a big day today."
Ok, I'm not gonna lie. I was a little nervous, but the warmth of his hand and his kind smile completely reassured me. This was good and totally worth standing up for.
After breakfast I drove back home to get changed and get my gym bag; I was going straight after work to do some boxing training and then Adam would pick me up from my place so we could spend the night together at his apartment.
When I parked my car right outside the district, Adam was waiting for me with his black and gray jacket on and leaning against his truck. I took a moment just to look at him before I got out of the car. He truly was gorgeous and most importantly an incredible man with strong convictions and the purest feelings.
I couldn't believe just how much my life had changed. The thought of being with Ruzek had never crossed my mind when we first started working together and now, I didn't want to think about any other possible scenario than this.
"Sorry, I caught all the red lights on my way here." I said as I climbed out of my car.
"No worries. It's worth the wait." I placed both my hands on his shoulders and pecked his lips. If we were going to tell Voigh, then I guess it wasn't going to hurt anyone to kiss my boyfriend in the middle of the parking lot. And to be completely honest, it felt so fucking good. "See? Totally worth it." He smiled and took my hand entwining our fingers together. "Let's go".
We walked up the stairs and crossed the threshold of the main door hand in hand. Heads were turning and, maybe I was being paranoid but, I could swear I heard muttering behind us. When I felt Ruzek's hand lightly squeeze mine, I knew he'd heard too.
"Well, at least Platt is not here." I said in a failed attempt to release some stress.
"Yeah… for now."
The bullpen was dim, which meant that we were the first ones in and no one had opened the blinds. The only light shining was the one coming from Hank's office.
We looked at each other and slightly nodded before taking the next steps towards his ajar door.
Adam was leading the way, but his hand never let go of mine. The light knocking called our boss' attention.
"Ruzek. Can I help you?"
"Morning Sarge. Do you have a minute? We were hoping to get a word with you." Voigh shifted forward in his chair to look past Adam and see that I was the 'we' Adam was talking about.
"Of course, come in." We did as he said and stood in front of his desk. I wasn't sure how to start this conversation. All of a sudden I felt like a teenager that was about to introduce her first boyfriend to her parents. Lucky for me, I didn't have to think of anything to say. "I see you sorted out your differences." Voight confirmed while his eyes were focused on our clasped hands. I just looked down as if I was being told off, and my cheeks were beginning to burn.
"Yeah, we hit a rough patch that day. I'm sorry about that boss." Well that was nice, I felt like an embarrassed teenager and Adam's voice sounded like the one of a little boy who was sorry for having a tantrum.
"Is that the only thing you wanna tell me? That you are sorry for your behavior?"
"Um… no sir, that's not all. Kim and I wanted to tell you that we are dating."
"I see."
"Sir, what happened the other day won't happen again. We already talked about it and…" Voight interrupted me mid sentence.
"I know it won't happen again, you both know better than that. And although I wasn't pleased with your behavior," He looked straight at Ruzek when he said that. "You two played a crucial role in solving the Sloan case. There's a reason why I partnered you up, I believed that you complement each other and that's what I need to happen here. So as long as your relationship doesn't interfere with that, I'm good."
"It won't, boss." Adam's voice echoed in the office.
"Good. Now, go downstairs and ask Platt for the paperwork you need to fill." We nodded in agreement and when we were about to leave Voight spoke again. "Just, take care of each other, ok? You're amazing people and I need you both here in your best version."
"We will, sir. We're not playing around, we're serious about this." Adam sounded confident and sexier than ever.
"I'm glad to hear that. Go get those forms and come back up, we have a pretty busy day today."
Hearing Voight's reply to our announcement only made me feel better and more relaxed. It's not like I was going to change my mind if he had said something different, but it was truly comforting to know how highly he thought of us both and that he trusted our abilities to do our jobs in the best way possible and to carry on with our relationship.
Adam's comment was a whole other chapter. I had no doubts in my heart that he meant everything that he had said and had done, but hearing him saying to Voight that we were serious about this, just made everything ten times better.
We walked down to the foyer to meet with Trudy. She was watching us move closer to her with a rather annoyed look on her face.
"I started the conversation with Voight, I think it's only fair you take on Platt." I rolled my eyes when I heard Adam say that under his breath.
"Fine."
"I'll make it up to you tonight." I turned my head to look at him.
"You better."
We were already standing in front of Platt's desk. Trudy was standing behind it, hugging some papers to her chest with both arms. She was sporting her typical straight face and she looked totally unimpressed. "Your sargeant just called me, you need to bring these forms back to me no later than tomorrow morning." She declared while handing the bundle of papers over to Ruzek and I. "It was about time you two said something, I thought you were going to remain silent forever." I was confused and I'm sure the quizzical look on my face told Platt the same exact thing. I looked for Adam's face and the expression on it told me that the thoughts running through his head matched mine. "Ha!" She literally blurted out that fake laugh in our faces. "Did you really think you were being careful when you were making out in the locker room?" I felt the fire on my cheeks instantly. "Oh, no. Don't get embarrassed now short stuff. You seemed pretty loose back there." Her thumb was pointing backwards where the hallway leading to the locker room was located. Trudy was having a blast right now, and apparently Ruzek also found this interaction amusing. "And what are you laughing about boy wonder? You are not better than her. Anyway, I'm glad you finally made a good choice, Burgess. And you?" She shifted her eyes away from me, and was now staring at Adam. "Don't screw this up."
