Okay, so, I learned a lot of things in the past 24 hours. First, when I level up, I get one stat point in all stats, but because of my hybrid race bonus, I get two in INT and WIS. I also get 5 extra points wherever I want, so I think those ones are if I want to focus on a fighting style. I'll try to keep my dex and magic higher but being balanced would be better. So I'll keep them for now. Also, I don't get a perk once a stat reaches the 50 mark. I don't know when I'll be getting a perk if I even do, but I hope it's soon.
Second, Conquerer's haki doesn't work on Grimm, which makes sense since they're supposedly fearless. At least Armament still works…
Third, it would appear that I don't need to sleep, eat or drink. I kept killing and fighting every Grimm I saw non-stop. Which is just very convenient.
Then, Skills, it's very easy to make new spells, but leveling them up is a different matter. so far I have 5 spells in my arsenal,
[Cutting wind] (Level 1/10)
Solidifying and sharpening the air then launching it forward dealing 50 wind damage
Costs 25MP
[Air Jump] (Level 1/5)
solidifying air to create a foothold to jump off of,
Cost 5MP
Can only be casted 5 times a minute
[Force Choke] (Level 1/5)
by tightening the grip on the target's necks with [Force Hold] you can suffocate them.
No cost, Requires [Force Hold] to be casted
Sword Skills… Or in this case, dagger skills are way harder to make. But I don't have to level them up so it's alright.
[Parry]
By parrying an attack, you gain extra movement speed for 2 seconds
[Backstab]
If the player stabs an enemy in the back, deal 2 times the normal damage
[Trick Stab]
Narrowly dodging an attack into backstab makes it do 3 times the normal damage
Will overwrite backstab's damage
And finally, the Grimm.
I rolled under a Beowulf's swipe and shanked it in the back with my rusty dagger, killing it instantly.
10 EXP
There are not many powerful Grimm here. All of their levels range from two to ten, is there a way to level up faster? Like dungeons or something?
Yes, there are dungeons scattered across the world.
I see, How many are there?
There are currently 565 dungeons throughout the world, with 71 in Vale and 2 in Patch.
Hmm… Well, that's good to know. Thanks game.
1 Reputation with The Game[3/100]
Now that I have level 10 dagger Mastery, I should probably work on my Alchemy now… calling it a failsafe wouldn't be wrong.
I gathered a lot of wild herbs on the way. Flowers, wild berries, tree leaves, and other plants… I wonder if I have to make my own alchemy tools…
Basic Mortar and Pestle added to inventory
Glass Vial added to inventory x 15
Basic Mortar and Pestle
You can make First Tier potions with this.
Does that answer your question?
Thank you game, but is it really alright for you to give me things like this on a whim?
It is not on a whim. The items I've given you up to this point are items from your starter kit.
Is that so… I thought as I tried mixing some things together but…
Nothing is happening
Mix your Mana with it.
Okay… Oh!
Vial of Poison - Tier 1
Coat it on your weapon to deal 25 Poison Damage for 5 hits
Well, lucky me, I have more than enough Mana to continuously make potions… though it will take a bit of time to learn what makes what…
Let's try it again, but with different things…
Health Potion - Tier 1
Heals 2% of your max health
Alchemy leveled up
Two percent huh… I suppose I am at a low level…
Wait, what will happen if I use Aura with it too?
Aura Potion - Tier 1
Heals 2% of your Max Aura
Well, that's kind of overpowered considering the cost of semblances. This is most likely going to catch Ozpin's attention… I hope he's friendly at least…
I proceeded to use the rest of my time making vials and leveling up a bit more. I managed to reach level 20, and I now have a total of 5 Health potions, 5 Mana potions, and finally 4 Aura potions with a spare vial of poison.
I glance at the quest log… and it doesn't seem too good, 5 days till Amber is attacked… I need to get out of Patch to search for Amber, and I know for a fact that she's in vale. But that's as close as I got. Finding her in five days will be very troublesome… Well at least I found a town, so that's out of the way at least…
Wait… I have wind magic! What am I doing! I could most likely make myself fly, and then… I'll just fly to vale!
And so I went back to the forest to attempt to make a flight spell.
Alright… How do I do this? Maybe something like an updraft? Or a wind tunnel?
I ended up testing multiple ways characters in fiction use flight, and as luck would have it… I did it.
[Flight]
By creating a constant updraft you can temporarily fly,
Flight speed is half of walk speed plus DEX
Costs 10 MP per minute, Mana Regen is stopped while the spell is active.
It stops my mana regen temporarily when I use it. But hey I should be able to fly for a good 8-9 hours before having to stop, which should be plenty.
Then I heard a Beowulf Howl as I realized I flew into a Beowulf den while looking at my skills…
"This is bad."
