Later that night Hermione was in her bedroom at Malfoy Manor, getting ready for bed.

Thinking about all that she had been through lately, she took off her outer robe while she hummed to herself. She walked into the bathroom and looked at the tub. It was huge; it looked big enough to be a pool. She turned the water on and added some bubbles to it.

Hermione climbed in and sighed deeply. "I could get used to this," she said to herself.

She had just put her head against a pillow that was folded and lying on the back of the tub and closed her eyes. "Can I get Miss anything?" a house elf asked Hermione.

She opened one eye. "Could you get me a glass of wine? That would be great."

The house elf popped out and came back with a large glass of wine.

"Thank you so much." She summoned a book as she set her wine on the tub next to her.

She took a breath and relaxed.

Thorfinn was thinking how he could make it up to Hermione. He really didn't want her to hate him or look at him like he was someone horrible.

He was standing on a balcony overlooking a garden, thinking. He heard steps behind him.

"Trying to figure out how to make it up to her?" Antonin asked.

"Yeah. I barely know her, except she loves to read," Thorfinn answered.

"I am sure you will think of something. She is so like her mother," Antonin said, smiling.

"What about asking some of her friends? Not the one you punched or probably not Harry Potter either," Antonin chuckled.

"That's a good idea, maybe I will ask that Luna girl," Thorfinn said.

Hermione felt completely relaxed. She put on a fuzzy bathrobe and slippers and walked out of the bathroom.

.

Thorfinn was standing in her room. "What are you doing here?" she asked, startled.

He stepped sideways from where he was standing. "Before you hex me, I have a gift for you... a kind of a peace offering."

She stopped trying to reach for her wand and looked past him. There was a basket on the bed. She walked forward, curious.

There, in the box, was the most adorable gray and white kitten.

Hermione squealed, "Oh, aren't you so precious!" as she picked up the kitten. She looked at Thorfinn

"Your father suggested I connect with one of your friends to help me make it up to you. I contacted that Luna girl. I figured she would be safe." He looked at her hesitantly.

Hermione snuggled the kitten. "She's adorable," she said blushing.

"Luna said you had a familiar but you lost him during the war and I thought you would enjoy having this little girl," he said, as he reached over and scratched the kitten behind her ears.

"I love her and thank you, that was very sweet of you."

He smiled. "Don't tell anyone I was sweet; I do have a reputation to keep up, you know."

She laughed. "What would you name her?"

He looked at her shocked. "You want my suggestion?"

She shrugged her shoulders. " We are going to be married. I figured I might as well try to get along with you," she told him, smiling.

"I was thinking Frida - it means beautiful in Norse."

She looked at him. "Oh it's perfect! Frida it is."

She stood up on tip toes and kissed him, taking him by surprise.

When she pulled away, he looked at her with astonishment. If that's the reaction I get when I do something nice for you, I am going a lot more."

She smiled. "I could get used to being spoiled." He laughed.

The next morning everyone was at the dining room table for breakfast. Lucius had a newspaper he was reading. Draco, it seemed, was half asleep or hungover. Thorfinn was seated next to Hermione on her right and Antonin was on the left. Narcissa was across from her and Draco next to Narcissa.

Narcissa looked at Hermione as she set her tea cup down. "What do you have planned for the day my dear?"

Hermione seemed to be thinking.

Narcissa told her, "If you need anything let me know."

Antonin looked toward Hermione. "I have a suggestion. You and I could get to know each other."

Hermione looked at him and smiled. "I would like that." She turned to Thorfinn and grabbed his hand.

"I would like to know both of you. I don't want us to be strangers," she told both of them.

Narcissa smiled. "I think that it is a wonderful idea, my dear."

Lucius looked up from his newspaper. "I think that it's a good idea, too."

Draco looked bored and echoed his parents. "Yeah, good idea."

After breakfast they were in the library. Thorfinn and Hermione sat on the couch and Antonin sat in a chair close by.

Hermione looked at her father. "What would you like to know?"

Antonin asked, "What was your childhood like?"

"Besides nearly getting attacked by a troll my first year, petrified my second, and other numerous things that I have done to save Harry and Ron?" She laughed.

Her father looked furious. "How does a troll get in the castle?"

Hermione thought for a moment. She glanced at Thorfinn. "One of the professors who was working with Voldemort let the troll in. I didn't know that at the time; I was a scared little girl."

"I can imagine I am sorry." Thorfinn looked at her and he took her hand. "What were your muggle parents like?"

She laughed when she realized he wanted to change the subject.

"They loved me or at least I think they did. But there was always something between us. I never was that close to them."

"I wish I had known that you were my daughter that day at the Ministry. I would have never tried to attack."

She grabbed her father's hand with tears in her eyes. "Of course."

"I miss when you were little and you used to call me 'papa'," he said with a sad smile.

"I think I need some time before I can feel comfortable enough to call you that." Hermione was rueful.

"I understand," Antonin replied. "I'm sure this takes some getting used to."

"What was my mother like?" Hermione asked him.

Antonin smiled. "She was very smart and when I tried to ask her out she turned me down. It took me sending her several owls and gifts before I finally convinced her to go on a date with me."

Thorfinn laughed and Hermione giggled. "Narcissa said you were a ladies man."

Antonin rolled his eyes. "I might have been a little bit of a ladies man but when I saw her I knew my future was with her."

Hermione sniffed. "That's really sweet," she said, and wiped her eyes.

Thorfinn put his arms across the back of her shoulders and pulled her into a side hug.

She looked at Thorfinn. "Tell me about yourself."

He smiled and pulled her closer to him. "Well let's see, I grew up in a pure-blood family. I am was in Slytherin; I was on the quidditch team and I got branded with this stupid tattoo because I was forced to join, thanks to my father," he replied, he showed her his left arm.

She looked at Antonin. "What was your childhood like?"

"I also grew up in a pure-blood household but unlike Thor, I grew up in Russia. I lived in Russia until I went to school at Durmstrang."

He laughed when he saw the shocked face on Hermione. "Did you think I went to school at Hogwarts?"

"Yes, I guess I assumed that you went to Hogwarts."

"No, my father, your Grandfather wanted me to go there."

"What about my grandmother, where did she go to school? What was she like?"

"Your Babushka, that's grandmother in Russian, was schooled at home and she is so stubborn."

"Wait, she's still alive?" Hermione asked excitedly.

"She is most definitely alive. She yelled at me over a fire call last night because I wouldn't let her see you. I only didn't let you talk to her because you didn't know about her yet."

Thorfinn said, "I would like to see your mother telling you what to do." Antonin rolled his eyes.

"Ha ha you're hilarious, Thor."

"What was it like when you met my mother?"

Antonin smiled. "I had come here to serve the Dark Lord. The Malfoys were hosting a ball. I spotted your mama. She was beautiful," he said with a sad smile

"I noticed her across the dance floor. She was wearing a light blue dress that touched the floor and her hair was shoulder length and curly. She took my breath away."

Hermione waited for Antonin to continue and she noticed that he looked so sad. Hermione walked over to Antonin and gave him a hug.

She didn't realize that she had tears in eyes until she pulled back and Antonin wiped her tears. "I see your mother when I look at you and it still hurts."

She let go of Antonin and sat back on the couch. Thorfinn rubbed her back. Once everyone's emotions had calmed down, they started talking about anything and everything. Hermione was having a great time.

Later that afternoon Hermione spoke to Luna " Thank you so much for agreeing to meet me, Hermione." She poured her tea.

"I am so glad that you came to visit me here at Malfoy manor, especially after everything," Luna smiled."If you can get past it, so can I."

"No problem, Luna. I know you will tell the truth."

"How is your fiance?" Hermione blushed. "Oh, I think you like him," Luna said dreamily.

Hermione smiled. "I am starting to like him but it's still early."

"Of course are you ready for this interview?"

"I am ready as I ever will be."Oh, and thank you for helping Thorfinn with his gift and apology," Hermione told her.

Luna beamed at her. "You are so welcome. I know you miss Crookshanks dearly and I figured this would be a good way for Thorfinn to apologize and for you to get a new familiar."

"Let's get started, Hermione, shall we?" Luna readied her note pad. "When you find out you were a pure-blood?"

"I found out when I received a letter stating I was adopted. I had become friends with Narcissa Malfoy, so I went to her to get answers."

"Did you get the answers you needed?"

"I won't go into the details but I found that I am a pure-blood."

"How did your friends react to you being a pure-blood?"

"Ron sent me a howler and yelled at me when I was at lunch with Thorfinn."

"When are you going to be married?"

"Thorfinn and I are still getting to know each other. We haven't sent a date yet."

"Will Thorfinn let you have a career?"

"He will let me do what I want. He wants me to be happy, and he wants to spoil me."

"How is your father?"

"My papa, apparently that's what I called him before I was stolen from home when my mother was killed. We are getting to know each other."

I'm not sure if you did, but I think you really need to read over your chapter before you send it. I felt like this was a rough, rough draft with a lot of errors that you could have corrected with a second reading. Almost every line had at least one punctuation correction and I don't think I should spend my time putting in periods at the end of sentences and commas in the middle. I understand dialogue is a pain in the butt, and everyone has trouble with it, so I expect to see punctuation issues there. I hope you understand. Sorry I am bad about that ️ I need to get better at reading that.

I am enjoying the story, although I still find it a little hard to swallow Hermione accepting Dolohov as her father, lock, stock and barrel. Do you have an endgame to this? An outline that I could see, maybe? I don't have an outline I could work on one I am at a doctors appointment most of the day.

There's no rush - I was just curious.
