Plot: Life after the apocalypse has drastically changed for those who survived. Contracting with demons is probably one of the least interesting developments in the new world. For Midoriya and Amajiki, it's become a standard way of life, the only existence they've ever known. They must rely on one another to avoid possession, and live whatever semblance of life remains now that the planet has been ripped apart.
Demon Classes:
Lesser - unable to appear in spectral form, only visible/communicative with contracted host
Mid - can appear in spectral form/partial manifestation
Greater - can manifest entirely in the physical realm
Deviant - dangerous to contract with, strong enough to possess host during manifestation
Chaos - can exist independently without contractor, consume weaker demons to sustain themselves and accumulate power
Dragon - the most powerful demons in existence, ruling sovereigns of the abyss responsible for world-ending catastrophic extinction events

Ch 17: Unbound
"I love you too. I love both of you so much."
Clothing was methodically stripped away, each new inch of skin revealed met with gentle presses of lips and reverent touches, Midoriya's head dizzy with the sensation of it. Amajiki watched them, content and half-asleep, reaching over to take one of Midoriya's hands and lacing their fingers lightly, Midoriya meeting his eyes with a giddy smile.
Rodi settled against the mattress again, bared beneath Midoriya. His movements were soft and light, slowly petting along Midoriya's sides before gripping his hips lightly and grinding up against him, smearing precum against the cleft of his ass. It had Midoriya's heart fluttering, laughter caught in his throat as Pino's hands traced over his chest in slow circles, her clawtips crafting goosebumps in their wake. She pressed herself against Midoriya's spine, her full breasts and soft, supple curves almost cool against his burning skin, her feathers teasing across his nape and shoulders.
"You're certain?" Rodi asked one final time, and Midoriya eagerly nodded his head, biting his bottom lip and blushing crimson as Rodi purposefully rutted between his cheeks.
"I want you." Midoriya murmured gently, and Pino twittered softly while pressing kisses along his freckled skin. "I want you. I want both of you, please…"
"C'mere…" Rodi whispered, and as Midoriya leaned in to kiss him again Rodi slipped his fingers between his cheeks, circling teasingly for a moment before pressing inside, careful to give Midoriya time to adjust before delving deeper. One finger first, then two, Midoriya gasping and moaning eagerly while rocking his hips back to take more of Rodi's fingers, Pino's soft feathers gliding along the curve of his spine.
Amajiki watched his companions with a heated gaze, in awe of the way Rodi and Pino mirrored each other, their movements synchronized in a way only soulmates could reflect, the pair steadily working Midoriya into a frenzy between them.
Midoriya felt as if he could barely breathe, his lungs burning as vocalizations spilled past his lips uninhibited, his entire body shaking as he clung to Rodi desperately.
"R-Rodi, Rodi please fuck me, please I-"
Rodi silenced him with a kiss, Midoriya's voice muffled against his mouth as he withdrew his fingers and lined up his cock, Pino shifting behind Midoriya to guide Rodi just where he needed to be to begin pressing inside.
Midoriya's voice hitched an octave at the initial stretch, his nails biting into Rodi's shoulders deliciously, the older boy kissing him hotly while Pino giggled against Midoriya's shoulder, her breath teasing across his flushed skin.
"Fuck." Amajiki whispered, his tone almost reverent, Pino glancing over and meeting his eyes, an impish smile turning up her lips.
Rodi held Midoriya's hips as he pressed inside, arching up from the mattress with a slow roll of his hips and letting out a low groan, Midoriya taking in every inch until Rodi was buried to the hilt. They paused their movements briefly, giving Midoriya time to catch his breath and allow his body to adjust to Rodi's impressive size, his own cock throbbing defiantly against the curve of his pelvis.
Gradually they started to move again, Midoriya pressing his hands against Rodi's chest and pushing himself up, letting out an appreciative moan. He shifted back slightly, spreading his legs wider and straddling Rodi's waist, licking at his upper lip while wiggling his hips and closing his eyes, simply basking in the sensation of being filled.
"You're so deep…" Midoriya breathed, and Rodi chuckled before humming his agreement, rubbing slow circles against Midoriya's strong thighs with his thumbs.
"You're taking me so well." Rodi praised softly, his eyes half-lidded as he watched Midoriya with a teasing smirk. "How does it feel? You ready for more?"
Midoriya's breath hitched and he nodded his head, his fingers fanning across Rodi's chest as he slowly opened his eyes, looking down at the boy beneath him with a needy, desperate expression.
"Please…" He whispered, shifting his weight slowly, beginning to gingerly rock his hips. "Please, Rodi? Please…"
"Good boy." Rodi whispered sweetly, holding Midoriya's thighs as he started rolling his hips. "You're so pretty like this, Izuku. You're flushed such a lovely shade of pink. Just look at you…"
Midoriya whined and arched his back, shivering with overstimulation, Pino gently coaxing him to rest back against her, effectively reclining into a deeper angle. She kissed his shoulders and nape all the while, nuzzling into his dark curls and twittering softly, tracing her nails up Midoriya's forearm before teasing across his wrist and palm. Her other hand traced along the curve of his waist, down his taut stomach to the base of his cock, her fingers wrapping around him carefully before slowly starting to pump.
Rodi watched her movements, catching her eyes over Midoriya's shoulder while whispering affectionately, "Good girl, sweetheart. That's my good girl. Go on, darling. Make him feel good."
Midoriya could barely speak in coherent sentences, moaning and trembling as he rocked down against Rodi's cock and up into Pino's hand. "Yes, fuck yes~ Please, I want-" He closed his eyes again, splaying his fingers across Rodi's upper thighs, tightening his hold for leverage as he quickened his pace. "I want more~"
"More? You want more, sweetheart?" Rodi coaxed softly, Midoriya whining and panting while nodding his head. "Good boy, Izuku. Good boy. Let me give it to you."
Midoriya let out a shuddering breath as Rodi shifted his grip, the older boy watching his twisting expressions with a sultry smirk before really starting to move. Midoriya cried out in earnest as his prostate was struck, tossing his head back against Pino's shoulder and crying out sharply, Rodi chuckling softly while quickly bucking his hips, bouncing Midoriya on his thick cock.
"Please don't stop, please don't stop-" Midoriya begged heatedly, holding onto Pino's hand tightly, his other hand reaching up to tangle in his own hair. "Oh fuck Rodi! Please, I'm gonna cum! I'm gonna cum!"
"Cum for me." Rodi urged gently, bucking his hips even faster than before, Pino panting softly against Midoriya's ear. "C'mon baby, let me hear you. You're so fucking pretty, Izuku. You sound so fucking sweet-"
"Rodi! Rodi! FUCK!" He practically screamed as he came, his orgasm ripping through him like lightning, alive and shivering through his veins from the tips of his toes to the crown of his head. Rodi kept bucking into him even after he was spent, Midoriya gasping and quickly reaching for his hands, tugging at his fingers desperately, Pino still jerking his sticky, weeping cock. "Fuck fuck fuck I can't!"
"You can." Rodi reassured with a soft chuckle, continuing to bounce him on his cock at a slightly slower pace. "Trust us, relax and breathe. Let us bring you ecstasy."
"Fuck!" Midoriya bit his lip, tears gathering in his lashes, his face impossibly flushed. Pino giggled sweetly against his ear, breathing unevenly, her fingers curling and twisting, smearing hot cum along his shaft. She pressed her breasts against the curve of his spine and rocked against him slowly, teasing across the tip of his cock with her nails, coaxing him once more into a heightened state of arousal.
"When you cum this time," She whispered against his ear, "It's going to feel amazing. So good, so intense. Just wait~" She nipped at his ear gently, teasing the shell with a hint of fangs. "Let us show you~"
"Izuku." Amajiki whispered, and Midoriya glanced down at him through his tears, his breath hitching as he realized Amajiki was jerking his own cock. "The sounds you're making, the way you look together, it's-" He moaned and gave himself a few slow strokes before returning to his previous pace, his cock already flushed a deep, angry red. "I never knew watching you with someone would be like this. You're so fucking hot right now. Both of you." He met Pino's eyes. "All of you."
Pino giggled again and nuzzled into Midoriya's neck, kissing at his nape and giving him a few slow pumps, his semi twitching in her hand. "We love playing together like this." She met Rodi's eyes, her bonded chuckling and nodding, quickening his pace again.
"It's been a long time since we've shared someone." Rodi managed between low grunts and moans, licking his lips and petting along Midoriya's side, his breathing much rougher than before. "Being with you, with both of you like this-"
He reached up and cupped Midoriya's cheek, petting his lips and jaw for a moment before dropping his hand again, holding his hips and searching his eyes.
"Nothing we've experienced before could ever compare to this. I couldn't imagine my life without you in it. I love you, Izuku. I love you."
Midoriya's breath hitched as his tears started to fall, bubbly laughter caught in his throat as he nodded his head, leaning down to kiss Rodi again and again. "Love you. Love you too."
Rodi gradually slowed his pace as they shared breath, kissing and whispering to one another soft adorations before Rodi glanced over and met Amajiki's eyes.
Amajiki held his gaze as well, blushing a bit brighter than before while asking, "Did you want me to…?"
"Yeah." Rodi murmured with a grin, rolling onto his side, Midoriya tumbling along with him. He laughed brightly at the sudden unexpected shift, smiling and wrapping his arms around Rodi's neck while Amajiki snuggled up behind him, Pino draping herself across Rodi's side and leaning in to give Midoriya a kiss.
Once they were all comfortable, Rodi started moving again, holding Midoriya's waist and bucking into him quickly, wet clapping sounds barely audible beneath Midoriya's needy moans.
Amajiki pushed himself up enough that he could lean over and kiss Midoriya while Rodi fucked him, Midoriya wrapping one arm around Amajiki's neck while tangling his other hand in Rodi's long hair. Pino watched them with shimmering eyes, blushing and panting quietly, squirming against Rodi's side, his movements growing more erratic the closer he drew to orgasm.
"Izuku-" Rodi panted against his shoulder, his eyes hazy with pleasure as he managed to force out, "Do you want me to cum inside, or…?"
Midoriya nodded eagerly, kissing Amajiki for a few moments longer before turning to kiss Rodi as well, their lips crashing together and tongues fighting for dominance as Rodi rolled on top of him and fucked him roughly into the mattress.
Midoriya squeaked out a few desperate cries for more before Rodi pushed him over the edge, Amajiki watching his blissed expressions as he crested, Rodi groaning low and deep as he reached his own climax.
Midoriya couldn't think straight, couldn't see, his vision filled with nothing but soft white light for several long seconds before he returned to himself, his entire body shaky and weak. He whined softly as Rodi's hips stilled and they simply rested together, still entwined, panting and trying to catch their breaths while Amajiki and Pino pet across their sweaty skin soothingly.
Midoriya laughed first, smiling and tugging Rodi down for a soft, slow kiss, Rodi smiling against his lips and kissing him gently, only drawing back once Midoriya was satisfied. Once Midoriya was sated he released his hold, allowing Rodi to slip free and collapse onto the mattress beside him, Pino curling up against his chest and demanding kisses of her own while Amajiki cuddled close, carding his fingers through Midoriya's disheveled curls.
"Love you." Amajiki whispered, and Midoriya hummed and rolled over to face him, wrapping his arms around him and kissing him sweetly, Amajiki petting over his trembling thighs.
"I love you so much." Midoriya whispered back, nuzzling Amajiki's nose with his own, meeting his eyes with an exhausted smile. "My heart has never felt so full."
Amajiki arched his brow, exhaling softly through his nose, his expression affectionate beyond words. He kissed Midoriya's forehead, then cupped the back of his head and drew him closer to rest against his chest and shoulder. Midoriya sighed tiredly, curling his fingers in the fabric of Amajiki's bunched shirt and closing his eyes while letting out a soft yawn, quickly drifting off to sleep.
Amajiki lay awake, petting Midoriya's hair and breathing in his scent, Rodi glancing over and meeting his eyes, reaching out to take Amajiki's other hand and lace their fingers together lightly.
"Love you." Rodi whispered. "Try to get some sleep before dawn."
Amajiki's expression softened, and he nodded tiredly, closing his eyes and pressing his nose to Midoriya's curls. "You too. Get some sleep." He squeezed Rodi's fingers back, adding after a quiet moment, "I love you too, Rodi."
Rodi smiled and exhaled a soft chuckle, holding onto Amajiki's fingers until he felt his grip go slack, then he carefully drew back his hand and turned to face Pino, grinning at her impishly as she gave him a little pout.
"What's that, songbird? Did you want some attention as well?"
Pino nodded and drew Rodi closer, framing his hips with her thighs as he rolled on top of her, gasping against his mouth as he guided his cock between her legs and pressed into her in one fluid thrust. He rolled his hips slowly, searching her eyes, petting her cheek and kissing her lips over and over again.
She twittered softly, holding onto his shoulders and trailing her nails down his back, gasping quietly now and then as he fucked her slowly, her moans nearly hidden beneath the crackling of the fire.
Todoroki and Sero watched over them silently, Toga resting on her side near the edge of the fire, already half-asleep. Kendou and Yanagi were nowhere in sight, but Bakugou and Shinsou were speaking together quietly just beyond the cabin, closer to the cliffs overlooking the sea.
Bakugou frowned a little, his tail tapping against his leg, Shinsou watching him expectantly, his arms crossed over his chest.
"You're certain that's the best decision?" Bakugou asked again, his tone still hesitant, Shinsou succinctly nodding his head.
"Given the information we have gleaned, yes. A preemptive attack would be our best chance. Tonight, before dawn." Shinsou turned his gaze to the sea, his eyes on the horizon. "We still have a few hours left until sunrise."
"It's too soon." Bakugou cautioned, his tail lashing against the air, a shiver coursing up his spine. "Izuku hasn't regained his strength. Our reserves are nearly empty."
"We have enough power to overtake them. Their reserves are just as spent as ours, and we are fortunate enough to be contracted. If nothing else, we will overwhelm them with sheer numbers." Shinsou flexed his wings against the fog before folding them in around his shoulders, gesturing towards the cabin as he added on, "I know you felt Pino's unshackling just as clearly as I did. She is a chaos, and her reserves are almost completely full. Her quirk is primarily defensive, and she and Rodi are committed to protecting our hosts. She will prove to be our trump card should things take a turn for the worst."
"We lost Hawks." Bakugou insisted again, a low growl building in the back of his throat. "Shimura is now a lesser. Usagiyama has yet to be found. Those within our plethoras still able to fight are exhausted. You cannot ask them to risk being shattered for an attempt that might not work-"
"What if it does?" Shinsou asked, taking a step closer, his eyes burning with ultraviolet light. "Three years we've spent running from an enemy that might not have accrued such power had we faced him head-on from the start." He flashed his fangs, his thoughts on the humans resting together nearby. "We cannot ask them to run and hide from another enemy, they should not be forced to live in constant fear of death again. We have to fight."
"Your reserves are worse off than mine," Bakugou growled irritably, letting out an exasperated sigh, "How do you expect to lead the charge against them as you are now? Less than a third of your reserves remain untouched, even after Izuku and Rodi-"
Shinsou flickered forward in an instant, his talons curved against the cut of Bakugou's jaw, his eyes gleaming. "You are correct. Your reserves are greater than mine, as you were incapacitated during the latter half of our brawl with Dabi. Conveniently enough for the both of us, we have already negotiated terms regarding just how to proceed in a dire situation such as this."
Bakugou's expression faltered for only a moment at Shinsou's implications, his shoulders tensing and his hands tightening into fists. He swallowed thickly, Shinsou's clawtips prickling along his jaw and throat, and the deviant watched the chaos for a long, tense moment before exhaling a heavy breath.
"As Izuku is unable to supply you with the amount of raw energy you currently need…" Bakugou clarified with a rumbling growl.
"Exactly." Shinsou confirmed with a deep growl of his own, tilting Bakugou's face to the side and leaning in to brush his lips against the deviant's neck.
Bakugou flexed his claws against the air, his tail flicking irritably behind him, but he closed his eyes and offered himself up to the chaos, barely flinching as Shinsou's fangs pierced his throat. Shinsou held him in place, Bakugou standing still for several long drags until he hissed between his teeth and reached for Shinsou, clinging to his biceps and digging in his claws as the chaos continued to drink.
"Hitoshi-" Bakugou growled lowly, "-take too much and I'll be useless in this fight-"
Shinsou tightened his hold and lifted his wings, Bakugou letting out a hitch of breath at the sensation of his reserves being depleted. He clung to Shinsou for as long as he could, then gradually his grip began to grow slack.
It was only once Shinsou's reserves were well over half-way full and Bakugou's were nearly drained that he finally drew back, Bakugou collapsing onto his knees at the chaos' feet and panting heavily against the fog.
Shinsou watched him with gleaming eyes, licking his fangs and turning towards the cabin. "Stay with our hosts. Protect them while the rest of us fight."
Bakugou still couldn't speak, panting and digging his claws into the soft earth while cutting his eyes towards Shinsou irritably. The chaos left him where he was, and Bakugou turned his eyes towards the sea as he rested, his tail tapping against the ground beside him, anger and embarrassment twisting hotly in his chest.
Uraraka appeared at his side as soon as Shinsou had departed, arching her brow with worry as she knelt down beside Bakugou, her lips pressed into a line. "Katsuki? Are you alright?"
He nodded slowly, glancing away from her while still panting shakily, doing his best to reign in his breath and hide his trembling from her eyes. She stayed beside him, leaning closer to rest against his side as the hotspot slowly began to replenish his drained reserves, petting back and forth over his knuckles lightly.
They didn't say anything else, simply sitting together at the edge of the sea, salty sea spray raining down upon them as the waves crashed rhythmically against the cliffside.
In astral, Shinsou was already calling for both plethoras to assemble, relaying what information had been gathered thus far and rallying their combined forces to fight.
At the center of the stone circle, the gate continued to open further and further, until suddenly a hand thrust through the veil and reached out to the other side, seeking for something to anchor onto in reality.
The demon strained against the heavy veil for several long moments to no avail, but gradually the rift widened and contorted enough to allow a shoulder through, a second arm reaching out and anchoring into the ground with mighty claws.
Todoroki lifted his head, frowning a little, narrowing his eyes as he tried to discern what it was he was feeling. Sero noticed his apparent distraction, glancing between Todoroki and Shinsou before letting out a quiet sigh, continuing to listen to the chaos' instructions on the upcoming fight.
Uraraka noticed as well, and quietly she drifted away from the crowd of demons and made her way towards the churning gate, her footsteps silent against the wet grass. The resonating light of the waygate continued to grow, pushing back the fog as a set of horns appeared, the demon finally forcing its way completely through.
Uraraka stood a short distance away, watching warily, glancing back towards the plethoras surrounding Shinsou - then suddenly the other demon was on her, pinning her shoulders to the ground before abruptly burying sharp fangs into her throat.
She yelped and fought to shove the demon off of her, but he was bigger and stronger, holding her down easily in both reality and astral. She clenched her fists and struggled with all her might, calling for her cohabitors, but no one heard her. No one answered her call. She realized that she couldn't feel the rest of her plethora. She was cut off, detached, the demon hunched over her continuing to drink in deep drags, quickly draining her to the bottom of her reserves.
Midoriya pinched his brow, exhaling deeply and blinking open his eyes, frowning a little and turning to hide his face against Amajiki's shoulder, some strange sensation twisting in his chest. He felt restless, as if he'd forgotten something. He suddenly wasn't relaxed enough to sleep. He let out a tired huff and pushed himself up, rubbing at his eyes gingerly.
Rodi and Pino were asleep beside him, a blanket around their shoulders, Amajiki sound asleep at his other side.
He looked towards the door of the cabin, reaching for his plethora, not sure what to make of their absence. When he'd fallen asleep before he'd felt Sero and the others watching over him, but now it seemed they'd left their hosts completely alone. They were nearby still, but distracted by something else.
Todoroki glanced backwards once more, searching for that strange sensation stirring somewhere in the dense fog, and in an instant he realized what was happening - the waygate was open, and Uraraka was being fed upon.
He surged forward, reaching her side in a heartbeat and wrenching the other demon away from her, raking against his side with extended claws. The other demon barely responded, arching away from Todoroki's attack so only the tips cut into his upper arm and ribcage, putting a few strides of distance between them. He rolled his shoulders slowly before licking his lips, his blue eyes churning with vibrant neon light.
Todoroki couldn't quite place what felt so off about him, but then he realized the demon felt familiar somehow, though he was certain they'd never encountered him before this very moment.
He watched Todoroki and Uraraka for a moment longer before flickering out of sight.
Todoroki growled low in the back of his throat, taking a defensive stance before Uraraka and reaching back to help her to her feet. She struggled to take his hand, whimpering and swallowing thickly, Hagakure and Asui appearing at her side as the rest of the plethora began to sense her distress.
"What happened? What's wrong?"
"Ochaco, are you hurt? Who did this?"
"I don't-" Uraraka tried to speak, swallowing thickly and shaking her head, tears filling her eyes. She gestured to the open gate, and Todoroki called out for Bakugou, the deviants working together to seal the large gap in the rift.
Without Monoma there to assist them, it took some time for the gate to seal, Bakugou keeping watch for any sign of other unbound demons near the gate while Sero and Toga began to search for the demon that had fed from Uraraka.
The island was small. There were only so many places he could possibly be.
Midoriya's eyes widened as an unbound demon appeared before him, a demon he'd never encountered before. He tried to reach for Shinsou, then Bakugou, finding the link between them unresponsive. The unbound watched him for a long moment then took a step closer, crouching down before Midoriya and offering his hand.
"Izuku, you must come with me."
"What?" Midoriya breathed, reaching back to touch Amajiki, trying to rouse his companions as subtly as possible. "Who…who are you? How do you know my name?"
The unbound frowned, his fangs curving his lips down into a pout, his brow pinched with concern. He tilted his head slightly, his tail flicking back and forth behind him, then he pressed a little closer and slowly flexed his fingers against the air.
"Izuku. Please. You must come with me. There isn't time to explain everything. We only have until dawn."
"I'm not going with you. I don't know you." Midoriya replied, his tone stern and soft. "Are you the reason I can't speak with my plethora? What do you want from me?"
"To keep you safe." The demon replied softly, reaching out and taking Midoriya's hand, tugging him quickly to his feet and turning towards the door. "I only want to keep you safe."
"Let go-" Midoriya started, his voice rising in panic, but the demon turned and grabbed his face, his palm pressed firmly over Midoriya's mouth. Midoriya struggled to break away for a moment before the demon growled and leaned closer, narrowing his eyes. He opened his mouth wide, hissing angrily, his pupils dilated into narrow slits.
"I knew you'd be stubborn Izu, but now is not the time to distrust me. I'm trying to save your miserable human life! You must come with me!"
There was a gust of air, and Shinsou's claws wrapped around the demon's neck from behind, his oversized fangs dripping with venom as he widened his jaw, looming over the demon's shoulder threateningly. "You. Will. Release. My contractor." A thunderous growl grew deep in his chest, sending shivers up Midoriya's spine. "Now."
"Hitoshi." The demon growled back, his expressions twisting, his tone caught somewhere between despair and hate. He turned his head, straining only slightly to meet the chaos' eyes, Shinsou's claws slowly tearing into the sides of his throat. "You did this. You're the reason I'm here."
He released Midoriya in an instant, turning on Shinsou and shoving him backwards with an angry shout, the cabin wall completely destroyed in seconds, sending support beams raining down upon them.
Kirishima lifted his shield as a mighty dome, Bakugou and Todoroki immediately taking defensive stances over their hosts while the unbound and chaos began to brawl. Their movements were blurred with speed, bodies skipping across the surface of the island in flashes of fangs, talons, and claws, the two demons quickly reaching the edge of the turbulent sea and tumbling into the waves.
"Hitoshi!" Midoriya called out, stumbling as he tugged on his clothes and ran across the island, Amajiki and Rodi following after his steps as quickly as they could, both still trying to understand what was happening. Midoriya reached the cliffs and inhaled a deep breath, shouting out across the crashing waves, "Hitoshi! Come back! Don't fight him!"
"Izuku." Todoroki growled quietly, taking his hand and tugging him away from the edge, "He fed from Uraraka. She needs your aura. As much as you can give."
"What?" Midoriya replied breathlessly, shaking his head as he was led away, turning his attention to Toga and Sero who were standing protectively over Uraraka, Asui holding her companion carefully against her chest.
"Ochaco?" Midoriya called softly, kneeling beside her and reaching for her hands. "Ochaco, hey. I'm here. I'm right here."
"Let her drink, Izuku." Sero murmured quietly, Toga nodding and helping Asui lift Uraraka into Midoriya's arms, Uraraka breathing shakily against his neck.
"I'm sorry." Uraraka whispered with trembling breath, tears caught in her lashes as she held onto his shoulders. "He moved before I realized what was happening. I tried to call out to you, but I couldn't reach-"
"It's alright now. Everything's alright." He cupped her head and leaned down to give her easier access to his neck, rubbing along her side gently. "Take what you need. We're all right here."
Uraraka ducked her head for a moment, sniffing as she blinked back her tears, "You've only just rested. I don't want to drain you again-"
"Ochaco." Midoriya whispered, smiling and nosing into her soft hair. "Please drink from me? It's alright. I'm not upset. Let me help you."
"You're sure?" She asked, her grip on his shoulders tightening, "I don't want to be a burden to you. I'm sorry I'm so weak."
"Hey. Listen to me. That isn't true." He pulled back and met her eyes, carefully wiping the greater's flushed cheeks. "You aren't weak. You were fed from without your consent. That doesn't make you weak." He pressed a kiss to her forehead, murmuring worriedly, "I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you. I'm sorry I didn't hear you when you needed me."
"There was…something…" She sniffed and hid her face against his chest, her frame trembling as she tried to find the words, "Something interfering. Something blocking me from reaching you. From reaching anyone."
"I should have realized what was happening." Todoroki growled deeply, his hands tightened into fists. "I could sense something was off. It took too long for me to notice the gate was wide open, and an unbound demon had ascended."
"It didn't feel like he was a lesser." Sero murmured with a frown, Toga nodding her agreement, looking off towards the sea.
"He was strong. Strong enough to attack Ochaco without any of us noticing. Not just any demon can do that. Especially not to a greater."
"So you think he wasn't ascending, he was traveling?" Midoriya asked, Uraraka nuzzling against his neck and finally parting her lips, pressing her fangs against the curve of his throat and starting to drink.
"That's most likely." Todoroki nodded, looking up at Bakugou as he approached, the deviants exchanging a quick glance before Bakugou turned away, Todoroki following after him.
Amajiki's voice rang out through the fog, Rodi's just behind. There was a commotion, the sound of blows being exchanged, then neon blue light began steadily bleeding through the fog, the unbound demon shrieking angrily and he leapt into the night sky.
He cast back the fog with powerful wings, one side of his face gouged nearly to the bone, his azure irises gleaming. He reached out and flexed his hand against the air, and Midoriya inhaled sharply at the feeling of being severed from his plethora, a heavy weight settling over him, making it hard to draw air.
Uraraka pulled back from his neck, panting and looking up at Midoriya with wide eyes, a trail of blood dripping down her chin. She opened her mouth to speak, but Midoriya couldn't hear it. There was a ringing in his ears, high-pitched and deafening. He reached up to cup his ears, hunching in on himself and trying to shield himself from the sound, but it didn't fade. If anything it only grew more intense.
He squeezed his eyes tightly shut, his face scrunching up as he fought to try to breathe through the weight of it all.
Then suddenly, everything was gone. Midoriya frowned and carefully opened one eye, glancing around and realizing he wasn't in reality anymore. He was in haven.
"Izuku."
Midoriya turned around to face the demon behind him, his breath hitching as he met those electric blue eyes.
"What are you-"
The demon stepped closer, reaching out to touch him, flexing his fingertips against the back of Midoriya's hand.
"Please. You have to trust me."
"How can I do that-" Midoriya started breathlessly, "-when you won't tell me anything? I can't just blindly follow after you."
"Yes you can." He murmured gently, taking Midoriya's hand and lacing their fingers, lifting his hand to kiss across his knuckles. He met Midoriya's eyes, his expression soft, his brow arched delicately as he whispered against Midoriya's skin, "Do you feel nothing? Do you not recognize me at all?" He shifted his grip, guiding Midoriya's hand up to press against his chest, centering Midoriya's palm over his heart.
Midoriya didn't understand, didn't know what the demon meant, then something warm and soft resonated within him. A familiarity. A longing. A piece that was once his, but now lived apart.
"You gave this to me." The demon whispered gently, "You trusted me with it. You trusted me with your heart."
"I don't-" Midoriya started, his breath catching in his throat. "I don't understand. Who are you?"
"I am your keihai." The demon whispered gently. "I am your servant, your devoted. I promised you I would give my life to protect yours, and I have. Willingly. Over and over again." He bowed his head, taking a step closer and pressing their foreheads together gently, careful of his horns. "I gave you all of me, every fragment of my core. Every fiber of my being. I am nothing without you. You complete me."
He closed his eyes, exhaling a quiet breath, his wings folding in around them slightly.
"I offer myself again now, gladly and in earnest." He opened his eyes, holding Midoriya's gaze as he whispered, "I am yours, Izuku. I always have been, and always will be. Now please-"
He nuzzled Midoriya's nose gently, searching his eyes, his worry clearly evident in his tone.
"Please let me save you from this-"
They were ripped apart in an instant, and Midoriya found himself standing alone in that soft white void of nothingness, staring out across the vast expanse of haven in disbelief. He was numb from the suddenness of it, and shaken to his core by what the demon had said. He could barely make sense of it, but the way the unbound had looked at him, the way he had held Midoriya so gently, it twisted something tightly within Midoriya's chest.
He had to do something, before the other demons shattered and devoured him. To them the unbound demon was nothing but a threat to their contractor, and they would show no hesitation in tearing him to shreds.
"Stop." Midoriya called out, his words ringing across haven, clearly audible in both astral and reality. "Everyone, stop!"
The light surrounding him began fading away, and as he was returned to reality Midoriya reached out for his plethora, reining them in with a firm hand. He could still feel Shinsou fighting against his will, and he clenched his teeth irritably before drawing a deep breath and shouting at the top of his lungs, "Shinsou Hitoshi! Obey my command! STOP FIGHTING! NOW!"
Amajiki ran to his side, throwing his arms around Midoriya's shoulders and crying out worriedly, "Oh god, Izuku! We couldn't find you! We couldn't sense you anywhere-"
"Call everyone off!" Midoriya urged worriedly, quickly meeting Amajiki's eyes. "Tamaki, he's not our enemy. I don't know what he is, but he isn't trying to hurt me. If he wanted to kill me he could have easily done so by now."
"Are you sure?" Amajiki asked worriedly, glancing back through the fog, "Shimura and the others are saying he's dangerous-"
"You have to call everyone back," Midoriya insisted, holding Amajiki's eyes, "I have to try to talk to him! He came here for me! Please!"
Bakugou and Todoroki appeared ahead of them, both growling and flexing their quirks threateningly. Shinsou continued hissing loudly from just out of sight, another voice letting out a fierce, feral growl in response. Midoriya left Amajiki's side and ran ahead into the fog, finding Shinsou and the unbound opposing one another in defensive stances, both ready to launch into another attack at any moment.
"Stop! Stop!" Midoriya called quickly, holding up his hands and getting between them, the unbound's electric blue eyes flickering, his tail lashing against the air behind him. Shinsou lifted his wings higher, his monstrous frame casting a great shadow against the fog, the smaller demon flaring his quirk's energy in crackling bursts to illuminate the darkness, Shinsou staring him down with an angry snarl.
"Get away from him." Shinsou growled low in the back of his throat, carefully reaching out for Midoriya. "It isn't safe, Izuku. I need you to release your command."
"No!" Midoriya barked sternly, his lips turned down into a frown. "He is not going to hurt me! I need you to back off so I can talk to him." His gaze followed the ring of demons that had gathered around the chaos and the unbound in an almost perfect circle, and he didn't hesitate as he called out to his plethora, "I need all of you to stand down and let me handle this. You are not to attack him again unless I call for you. Do you understand?"
Todoroki crossed his arms over his chest, exhaling a quiet breath. Sero shifted his weight from side to side, cupping his elbow and giving a little nod, his expression still uneasy. Toga was nearby with Bakugou, the little imp growling as she watched the unbound, her tail lashing against the air behind her quickly. Bakugou watched Midoriya carefully, sighing heavily but making no move to approach further, his eyes drifting to the unbound with an irritated, threatening glare.
Once Midoriya was certain they wouldn't be interrupted again, he turned his attention to the demon before him, taking a few steps closer and tentatively offering his hand, the unbound's expression softening as he stepped forward to take it. His touch felt different than before, less desperate and demanding. He smoothed his fingers against Midoriya's, careful of his claws, drawing his wings in closer as he dipped down and said quietly, "There's not enough time, Izu. I can't tell you everything. We have to leave this place."
"You said you came here to save me?" Midoriya asked softly, the demon nodding his head, tightening his hold on Midoriya's fingers. "Save me from what?"
"The dragon." He responded quietly, his brow arched with concern. "A dragon will ascend tonight."
Midoriya held his eyes, then replied hesitantly, "Alright. If I agree to go with you, I can't go alone. Wherever I go, my plethora will follow." He looked away from the demon before him and gestured towards the pair of humans standing together nearby. "My friends, too. I can't leave my friends behind. They'll need protection too."
The unbound frowned, his brow pinched with concern. He considered for a moment, casting his gaze towards Shinsou, eyeing the chaos with obvious disdain before murmuring, "Hitoshi can warp us somewhere safe for now, but that will only delay the inevitable. They'll still end up finding us, they always do. We'll only survive a few hours at most."
Midoriya tried to discern what the demon was saying, asking after a long, quiet moment, "You know his name. You know my name." He took a step closer, searching the demon's eyes. "You said you are my keihai, right?" He paused long enough for the demon to nod in reply, then pressed a little further. "Will you tell me your name?"
"I can't tell you that." The demon replied softly, glancing to the side. "If you know my name, you can command me."
"You're unbound." Midoriya replied with a hint of confusion, looking towards Bakugou and Todoroki briefly before asking aloud, "Can I command an unbound if I know their name?"
"No, not fully." Todoroki replied casually, keeping a calm and even tone despite his furrowed brow. "It may hold some sway over an unbound demon to speak their true name, but you cannot command them in the same manner as those of us held under contract."
Midoriya nodded, returning his eyes to the demon before him, "So then? Why can't you tell me your name?"
The demon inhaled slowly, then exhaled a heavy breath. "Izu, I can't give you every answer you're looking for. I can't give you my name."
"What can I call you by?" Midoriya asked instead, searching the demon's eyes. "Surely there must be something I can call you."
The demon was quiet, considering for a moment before replying softly, "Sometimes you'd call me Blue, after we started training with my primary quirk."
"You're a dual?" Midoriya asked gingerly, and Blue arched his brow and let out a soft, amused snort. He held Midoriya's gaze for a long moment then turned away, looking out across the horizon, the dark ocean barely visible through the fog.
"We're wasting time." He said softly, "I know you want to take the others with you, but I can't save everyone. That's not why I'm here." He returned his eyes to Midoriya, then carefully he reached up and cupped the human's face, tracing along the curve of his jaw delicately. "We have to leave. I'm sorry."
"Izuku?" Amajiki called, and Midoriya looked over to meet his eyes, but he wasn't there anymore. Nothing surrounding them but soft, white light.
