It had been one of those days for the team, the kind where things went wrong and there was nothing they could do to prevent disaster.
An alien had been pulled through the Rift, by all accounts a peaceful, highly intelligent being, but she was also of a species that lived their entire lives in water, and she'd been dumped unceremoniously on the cold, hard, concrete in the middle of an industrial estate.
By the time the team reached her she was barely alive, and although they'd tried their best to save her, they'd failed. Needless to say, they were in very low spirits when they returned to the Hub.
Nosy sensed their sadness, and shared it, but the Fluff knew its friends were not to blame. They'd done all they could, but sometimes bad things happened anyway. It did them no good to wallow in their failures, however; they needed cheering up, which was one thing Fluffs were good at.
What sort of game would work best in this instance? Ah!
Going to its ball pit, Nosy started tossing all the balls out of it. Before long the whole team was chasing coloured balls everywhere, their gloomy mood forgotten.
