Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Swamp Reaper. Enjoy the 1100-word chapter. I don't own WATHK, Nippon Ichi Software and Sony do.

(Medea.)

"No, I don't know if their there…." Amicus said, his eyes narrowing under his hood. "What do you think? They have to be looking for something, or someone." Amicus said while he cracked his neck and looked at his sibling.

He watched the group of humans who slogged back and forth. Their armor clanked; he could hear their swords as they walked through the foliage of the tree. Both knew their master was watching.

"What do they want? There has to be some reason they're here. It can't be for nothing." Amicus stated as he looked to his sibling.

Nothing, no answer which seemed to answer any of his questions… It wasn't like he didn't expect that at all, still? It was NOT something that Amicus accepted. This really was something interesting.

"Metallia, why don't we just kill them?" Amicus questioned, raising an eyebrow towards his brother. "They're just going to try and kill us anyway. I don't know what exactly we're trying to preserve them." Amicus said which was enough to get a reaction from the woman.

"Killing them would just cause a thousand more issues, you know we're at war now, dumbass." Metallia said which made Amicus roll his eyes with a sigh.

"Do I need to point out that something could go wrong and they end up reporting us?" Amicus questioned while he cracked his knuckles with amusement.

He was well aware of what was at stake and so was she. This wasn't just something she was trying to pass the time with.

"Are you going to remind them they're on your turf?" Amicus questioned which did get her attention.

She grumbled and hummed, a sign both knew that these humans could be a problem. A small army in their turf? It would only cause issues if not treated in time.

"Do you think you can stall them a bit?" Metallia asked, a mischievous tone taking over her voice.

"Yes, your highness." Amicus grumbled as the spell went dead a minute later. "That woman enjoys power too much…T hen again? She does remind me of me." Amicus said while he slowly summoned his scythe.

She didn't want the humans killed? Fine, but she never said they couldn't be hurt or such. Amicus wanted to talk to one anyway and it wasn't like he'd learn anything from a corpse… Not without magic which Metallia held at the moment.

"She's very strong for a woman who seems to have a little knowledge of magic." Amicus said before looking at his brother who chuckled with amusement. "What? I'm curious about how she's so strong. She's a lot more skilled than she looks." Amicus said while he shook his head at his sibling's antics.

It did amuse him to a point when he thought about it. they were still siblings no matter what, but they still had to think about certain things. Amicus leapt down and landed in the muck.

It felt familiar, it felt something he could understand. The swamp water seemed to empower him. Amicus wanted to study it, ask WHY his power seemed to grow at every single exposure to the thing.

"No, it will be a better question for down the road." Amicus said while he slowly advanced forward at the moment.

"Where are you, little brother?" Amicus questioned to himself as he slowly pulled himself from the water, spinning his scythe as he did so.

A small chirp as he hummed and looked around. There was nothing that didn't amuse him besides his brother… Then again? Amicus hadn't been entertained for a while.

"Do you need me to bring them to you?" Amicus questioned, curious as to his master's will.

"Take the chick, leave the others." Metallia stated as Amicus shrugged.

"Whatever you say so." Amicus said while he cracked his fingers a second later.

"Lady Malia?" Amicus and his brother heard as he blinked. "Who's there?" Amicus heard as Amicus pointed his scythe at them.

"You're on the witch's territory, miss." Amicus stated as he stepped forward, forcing the 2 guards to draw their swords. "Who the hell are you, and what are you doing here?" Amicus questioned, resting his scythe upon his shoulder.

He decided to go with the diplomatic route, it would lead to less bloodshed… Not that either of the guards could really stop him if they wanted to. He was capable of killing both of them even diminished like this.

"You are a servant of the forest witch?" The woman asked as both Amicus and his brother shared a look. "Please, I need your master's help. My name is Viscole Dotrish." The woman said as the Hundred Knight landed on his brother's shoulder.

Amicus chuckled under his breath. This woman had sought out the enemy they had killed only a few days ago? That was either garbage luck on her end or something good on their end.

"And why should we not kill you?" Amicus asked as he and his brother turned to look at them. "I recognize that uniform. You're an inquisitor, you're here to kill our master if I lead you to her." Amicus snarled out, pointing his scythe towards her.

Viscole looked at the duo who seemed to await her move. Neither really respected much from her considering they were far beyond her or her escorts. She had to know that considering she looked at both of them with the caution one would considering they were demons.

"Because I extend a pardon for your master…" Viscole stated as both turned towards her with much more interest.

"Our master could cut you in two. You're lucky she doesn't want to… She wants to talk to you." Amicus stated as the group started to turn and walk away. "But you do anything and I'll cut you to ribbons myself." Amicus said with far more venom than he intended to.

He blinked to himself, curious as to why he had responded in such a manner.

He was silent for several moment as to how he had responded in such a manner.
